Lucy is a hotshot divorce attorney who gets a letter with good news—she just made partner! She gets a call from her sister, who accuses her of avoiding their mom. Lucy isn't planning on going home for Christmas, but her mom tells her she's going to get her room ready, just in case. Her sister, Alexa, says she sent her a box of some random stuff—framed photos, including one from the first Christmas after their dad died. Alexa asks her one more time to please come home for Christmas. Lucy says she'll think about it. And she goes to think about it by playing pool with her assistant, but all she really wants to do is WORK!!!

After a long day, she goes across the street to a diner. Right as she’s about to go to town on some pancakes, a guy named Matt comes up to her and says, “LUCY?!?!” He sits down, and they catch up. They were friends in high school, and she gets an update on everything—from his failing Broadway career to his failing marriage. He asks if she’s coming home for Christmas, and she says, “Oh no, I haven’t been home in years.” He responds, “Same ol’ Lucy.” She’s like, “WTF does that mean?” He says, “Oh, you avoid the people who are closest to you, including me. I thought you knew that.” He asks if she ever thinks about what could have been had things turned out differently. She says, “No, I’ve literally never done that…YET!”

After he leaves, a nosy waitress sits down and asks Lucy if she could do her life over again, would she? Lucy replies, “Nah, hard pass.” But as Lucy starts to look around the diner, she notices that everyone is with someone else but her. So, she looks up Matt on social media and accidentally likes an old picture. Her life is essentially over!

She calls an Uber, and guess who the Uber driver is? NOSEY WAITRESS! The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car, and Lucy's phone is set to military time… and that’s just kind of the way things go sometimes.

Lucy falls asleep in the backseat, and as they go over a bridge, her phone begins to glitch out. Suddenly, she’s home. Not her current home, but her childhood home. In the moment of frenzy, she forgets her phone in the car.

She goes inside and sees a dog that looks just like her childhood dog but thinks they must've just gotten the same breed. But when she wakes up the next day to “Kiss Me,” she knows something is off. She is fine without her glasses and has bangs… she runs outside to grab the paper… it’s December of 1999!

Her driver is out there and explains the rules: This is a Christmas gift for her, but she can’t change anything or it will change her future. Enjoy 1999!

She goes inside and sees her mom baking and realizes how much she missed that. She goes outside and runs into Matt, who is her boyfriend, and he tells her, “I’ll see you tonight for the thing.” She has no idea what he’s talking about, so she goes to talk to her old best friend, Nadine, who is also a sci-fi fan, and just tells her the truth. She convinces Nadine she’s from the future, and Nadine is 100% on board for helping Lucy figure out why she’s back. She thinks it’s because she botched her first kiss with Matt. So Nadine encourages her to go kiss him ASAP!

Lucy realizes that she might be sharing too much about the future when the letterhead of her partner letter goes away.

So she goes to meet up with Matt and immediately kisses him, and more letterhead disappears. Her driver shows up and tells her to just relive the memories; don’t try to change anything.

And nothing says relive the memories like THE REINDEER GAMES! They win, ‘cause duh.

Lucy realizes she’s having an absolute blast with Matt, and it’s causing more of her letter to disappear.

She goes home and is shocked when her grandparents show up—she hasn’t seen them in a long time and gets a little misty-eyed. Her grandparents warn her and her sister to prep for Y2K.

Lucy goes to check on her mom, who is working like crazy in the kitchen, and she has to sit down. Lucy gives her mother great advice and lets her know that they’re all in it together and grief isn’t going to pass in a day. This causes more of her letter to vanish.

Lucy keeps having heavy-hitting conversations one after another. When she sees her sister is struggling too, she goes and tells her that she knows she’s into girls. She tells her to come out when she’s ready, but her mom will be her biggest supporter. She apologizes for not being there for her when she needed her the most but tells her that she’s proud of her. Naturally, this causes more of her letter to disappear. She goes to hang out with Matt, and they almost kiss again, but they don’t. She sees that her letter is almost gone entirely.

So she goes to talk to the driver and tells her that she wants to make sure she goes back to her life as it was—and she finds out that she just has to make it to Christmas Eve.

She goes to see Matt in a play and quickly realizes why he didn’t make it as an actor. He runs to meet up with her after the play and tells her that he really wants to make things work with her but can sense her pulling away.

She goes to do what she always would do when she needed to think—she plays some pool with her grandpa. She asks if he would change anything about his life, and he says no—everything he’s done, including the mistakes, has led to this moment right now. He wouldn’t want to miss out on that.

Lucy realizes she doesn’t want to go back to her old life. She rushes to bring a mix CD to Matt and tells him that she loves him and wants to be with him forever. They kiss, and her entire new life flashes before her eyes—college, weddings, kids, Matt’s surprisingly successful acting career. Suddenly, Lucy breaks the kiss and has her glasses back. She’s back in the present, but everything is better than Lucy could have imagined—she’s really with Matt! She’s now an estate attorney. And she’s so happy.

As she’s about to walk into her mom’s house, she looks out and sees her driver, and she says THANK YOU!!!

[00:00:01] Hi, I'm Brian and I love Hallmark Christmas movies. Now Brian, I like Hallmark Christmas movies. I'm Dan and I despise Hallmark Christmas movies and this is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast. Deck The Hallmark, it's his podcast. And friends host his podcast. Hope you like this jolly podcast. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Hi. Hi. How are we today, everybody? Big week. Is it? Huge week. Yeah. I thought we did this.

[00:00:40] We're only a couple days. We're only a couple days into the big week. We already did the Christmas Quest, we did the Holiday Touchdown. Everyone agreed with everything we had to say on those two movies. That's right. Unbelievably, yeah. What day is it today? Wednesday, right? No, today's Tuesday. Tuesday. Tuesday. We didn't do Christmas Quest yet. We have. We have. We did it on Monday. Sunday is Holiday Touchdown. We all, we did it. Hope day is tomorrow. That's right. We love it. And we're here on Tuesday. That's right. And it's cold. It's cold. It's cold.

[00:01:09] It's cold. It's cold. It's cold. It's cold. It's cold. It's cold today. It's cold this week. It's going to be cold this weekend, but that's not going to keep us away from the parade, everybody. No, no, no. Join us. Join us this weekend. Join two of us. He's not going to be there. Too cold for me. You're not going to be there? He's not going to be there. I'm not going to be here. Yeah. Is this news to you? Yeah. This is news to me. Yeah. Where are you going to be? I'm out of town. Do what? A little hockey tourney. Yeah. Hockey game this weekend. I got to travel a little bit for it. I won't be here.

[00:01:36] Hey, Dan and I talking about parade? That's right. I mean, we can see if Ryguy could come down. You want to get right up? I will. Yeah. He's not going to do it, but I'll text him. This is what I want to say to everybody. Well, first of all, if you're going to come in person, come and say hi to us. We'll be judging it. Yeah, we will. There's going to be a lot of fun. It's going to be live streaming. Assuming everything works out? Yes, we will be live streaming. Yes. We'll be live streaming. And it's going to be a lot of fun. It's a good parade. The Poinsettia Parade. Come on. It's a great parade. It's a great parade.

[00:02:03] It's a great 가 Kwik-Ault. That's going to add to it. That's all that matters. That's going to add to it. We're very excited about it. I was in a sweater last time, and it was like 70 degrees, and I hated it. Yeah. It was a little bit cooler than 70 degrees. The hot. It was a little bit cooler, but not much. It was humid. It had been raining all day. Yeah. Humid. Yeah.

[00:02:33] To purchase.

[00:02:34] We're back on Amazon.

[00:02:35] Yeah, we are.

[00:02:36] Jeff, you couldn't keep us down.

[00:02:37] Not you, Jeff.

[00:02:38] We're back.

[00:02:39] We're back to Jeff Ove.

[00:02:41] So we're back.

[00:02:41] Jeff Rooney.

[00:02:42] DagTheHomer.com.

[00:02:44] The Jester.

[00:02:45] Slash game.

[00:02:46] Making copies of our game.

[00:02:48] Slash game.

[00:02:48] And we've been hearing from so many people.

[00:02:50] We love seeing people on the socials post about the game.

[00:02:55] Let us know how many points they're scoring for each game.

[00:02:58] Aaron, you come in every day and you say,

[00:03:00] this movie got this amount of points.

[00:03:02] Yeah.

[00:03:02] How's it going?

[00:03:03] Give us a Christmas movie magic update.

[00:03:05] Did you watch 90s Christmas?

[00:03:08] Did you watch this movie?

[00:03:09] Yeah.

[00:03:10] You got a point update for this one?

[00:03:12] I didn't write down a numerical value.

[00:03:14] It was on par with an average Christmas movie this season.

[00:03:17] Okay.

[00:03:18] Did you beat yourself, though?

[00:03:21] Points-wise?

[00:03:22] Points-wise, did you win?

[00:03:24] So I'm trying to make it through an entire deck in one movie.

[00:03:27] And you haven't done it yet.

[00:03:28] The only one I've gotten close to is Believe in Christmas.

[00:03:31] Oh, it's coming up later this week.

[00:03:32] Coming up later this week.

[00:03:33] Oh, spoiler.

[00:03:34] But not made it through the whole deck yet.

[00:03:36] I mean, that movie takes place in Christmas land.

[00:03:38] It's Christmas land.

[00:03:40] Got to be a lot of things.

[00:03:41] That's half the deck right there, right?

[00:03:42] Also, we've had people message us and ask us where they can buy the game.

[00:03:46] And that is shocking to me.

[00:03:48] I feel like we've said it a lot.

[00:03:49] Have you talked about it?

[00:03:50] Yeah.

[00:03:50] Deckthehomework.com slash game.

[00:03:52] That'll take you to the page to purchase it.

[00:03:55] That's right.

[00:03:55] That's right.

[00:03:55] And leave us a review.

[00:03:56] That would help a ton.

[00:03:57] Yeah, we love the reviews.

[00:03:58] Share it on your social medias.

[00:04:00] Buy.

[00:04:00] They fit nicely in stockings.

[00:04:02] They sure do.

[00:04:03] Even though, you know, you would probably want to play it before Christmas.

[00:04:06] But maybe you can get it in there and then you can play it for later in the day or something.

[00:04:11] I don't know, man.

[00:04:12] You only watch Christmas movies in November and December.

[00:04:15] But I'm not the normal person.

[00:04:17] I know that.

[00:04:18] So if you've got someone in your life that's like me that hosts a year-long Christmas podcast

[00:04:24] and watch Christmas movies all year, Christmas movie is perfect any time of the year.

[00:04:30] Libity bibity.

[00:04:30] And we've played it with DCOMs and they work.

[00:04:34] It's fun.

[00:04:34] It's a great game for all times.

[00:04:36] For all times.

[00:04:37] For all times.

[00:04:38] Great game for all times.

[00:04:40] That's what I'm going to say about it.

[00:04:41] That's what I'm going to say about it.

[00:04:42] It should be on the box.

[00:04:43] Next print, man.

[00:04:45] It's great to be with you guys today.

[00:04:47] Right?

[00:04:47] I feel like it's been a while.

[00:04:48] It does feel like it's been a while.

[00:04:49] I know we've been releasing episodes every day, all month.

[00:04:52] But it feels like it's been a while.

[00:04:55] How's the Christmas shopping coming?

[00:04:58] Who is right?

[00:04:59] Oh, man.

[00:04:59] I'm thinking about it.

[00:05:01] Yeah?

[00:05:01] I'm doing a lot of Christmas shopping thinking.

[00:05:02] I only have...

[00:05:04] You're talking office Christmas shopping.

[00:05:06] I'm talking any and all.

[00:05:06] Just general.

[00:05:07] Any and all.

[00:05:07] Any and all.

[00:05:08] My kids are...

[00:05:09] Eight and a half is perfect age.

[00:05:11] Prime time.

[00:05:11] I'm just like...

[00:05:12] They're big in Jurassic Park.

[00:05:14] Big in the superheroes.

[00:05:15] That's easy.

[00:05:16] They're...

[00:05:16] You nerfing it at all?

[00:05:18] You nerfing it?

[00:05:19] No.

[00:05:19] Not yet.

[00:05:20] Maybe I will.

[00:05:21] Nerf's scary.

[00:05:22] Nerf is scary?

[00:05:23] Oh, no.

[00:05:24] Not scary in...

[00:05:25] Oh, no.

[00:05:26] It's scary in...

[00:05:27] You get all these little nerf bullet things.

[00:05:30] What do you call them?

[00:05:30] Nerfs?

[00:05:31] Yeah.

[00:05:31] Nerf arrows.

[00:05:32] Nerf arrows?

[00:05:32] Yeah.

[00:05:33] Or whatever.

[00:05:34] Bullets, yeah.

[00:05:34] And then you got to pick them up.

[00:05:36] You do.

[00:05:37] And that is scary.

[00:05:38] I mean, you just...

[00:05:39] You don't pick...

[00:05:40] You lose them.

[00:05:41] You kick them around the house.

[00:05:42] The dogs chew them up.

[00:05:43] I know.

[00:05:43] That's what I'm talking about.

[00:05:44] It's a one-time use, pretty much.

[00:05:45] Yeah.

[00:05:46] But I remember having so much fun as a kid.

[00:05:48] Yeah.

[00:05:49] You know?

[00:05:49] They're a good time to nerf at some point.

[00:05:51] You got to nerf at some point.

[00:05:52] Yeah.

[00:05:52] What about you?

[00:05:53] You close?

[00:05:54] You getting there?

[00:05:54] I have a good list of gift ideas going.

[00:05:57] Office-wise, though, I'm feeling a little heat.

[00:05:59] Feeling pressure.

[00:06:00] The only office gift I've gotten is brands.

[00:06:02] The only office gift I've gotten is yours.

[00:06:03] Oh, boy.

[00:06:04] What?

[00:06:04] You guys are way ahead of us.

[00:06:05] And that's because...

[00:06:06] The only office gift I've gotten is Brian.

[00:06:08] Wow, Brian.

[00:06:09] Brian, last place.

[00:06:10] Have you gotten any?

[00:06:10] I've gotten none.

[00:06:11] Oh, Brian.

[00:06:12] You're screwed.

[00:06:13] The thing is with Brian, though, it's a lot...

[00:06:15] Because of how much time we spend together, at some point I'll think of something.

[00:06:19] I'll be like, of course.

[00:06:20] That's it.

[00:06:20] That's the...

[00:06:20] And so I usually buy it.

[00:06:22] Also pretty...

[00:06:22] I'm an easy boy.

[00:06:23] You are an easy boy.

[00:06:24] I make my likes pretty...

[00:06:28] Known?

[00:06:29] Known.

[00:06:29] Yeah.

[00:06:30] You know what I like.

[00:06:30] You know what I don't like.

[00:06:31] But I don't want a softball.

[00:06:34] Anything between a bun.

[00:06:35] I try to make it fun.

[00:06:36] Anything between a bun.

[00:06:37] Yeah.

[00:06:37] That's right.

[00:06:38] Pizza, potatoes, fried chicken, sweets.

[00:06:40] That's what you like.

[00:06:41] I like all those things.

[00:06:42] I like all those things.

[00:06:44] Shall we talk 90s Christmas?

[00:06:47] No, great.

[00:06:48] I was born in the 90s.

[00:06:49] Yeah, you were.

[00:06:50] Lucky you.

[00:06:51] Yeah.

[00:06:51] Thank you.

[00:06:52] Brian, you and I grew up in the 90s.

[00:06:54] We did.

[00:06:55] That's right.

[00:06:55] This is our real estate.

[00:06:57] Yeah.

[00:06:57] Yeah.

[00:06:58] Yeah.

[00:06:58] Yeah.

[00:06:58] And Panda was in his 50s.

[00:07:01] Oh, 50s already.

[00:07:02] He had just collected his pension at that point, I believe.

[00:07:04] Oh, he loved to see it.

[00:07:05] Got it before it went.

[00:07:06] First.

[00:07:06] Going on a steel hill.

[00:07:07] That's right.

[00:07:07] Obviously.

[00:07:08] Obviously.

[00:07:08] Yeah.

[00:07:09] A 90s Christmas, November 29th, 2024.

[00:07:12] What a service it was.

[00:07:15] If you were wondering...

[00:07:16] Dude, your eulogy was as good as I've ever...

[00:07:18] If you were wondering if the Panda old jokes still work, even if he's not here, they do.

[00:07:23] Oh, they crush.

[00:07:23] They are fair.

[00:07:24] Yeah.

[00:07:24] They're fair game.

[00:07:25] They're above boys.

[00:07:26] 90s Christmas, November 29th, 2024.

[00:07:29] Originally premiered...

[00:07:30] If you were still alive.

[00:07:31] They won't bring it back.

[00:07:32] Can you imagine if Christmas Con got their hands on this screener and they would have played

[00:07:37] it at 90s Con and Christmas Con?

[00:07:39] It would have been going nuts.

[00:07:40] Makes too much sense.

[00:07:41] Well, yeah.

[00:07:42] It would have been going nuts.

[00:07:43] You would think so.

[00:07:43] You would think so.

[00:07:44] It would have been going nuts.

[00:07:45] Yes.

[00:07:45] November 29th, 2024 on the Hallmark Channel.

[00:07:47] On paper.

[00:07:47] Something like this.

[00:07:49] Lucy is a hotshot divorce attorney who gets a letter with good news.

[00:07:54] She just made part of news.

[00:07:56] Yeah.

[00:07:56] Lucy.

[00:07:57] Totally tubular.

[00:07:58] Neon partner?

[00:07:59] She gets a call from her sister who accuses her of avoiding their mom.

[00:08:04] Lucy isn't planning on going home for Christmas, but her mom tells her, or her sister, her

[00:08:08] mom tells her that her...

[00:08:10] Whoa.

[00:08:11] Wait for it.

[00:08:12] Wait for it.

[00:08:13] Uh-oh.

[00:08:13] Oh, boy.

[00:08:14] Oh, boy.

[00:08:14] We got lots of the ochres there.

[00:08:15] Her room's ready is what I'm trying to say.

[00:08:17] Her sister, Alexa, says that she sent her a box of some random stuff, including framed

[00:08:21] photos, including one of their first Christmas after their dad died.

[00:08:25] A super good pick.

[00:08:27] Pick him up.

[00:08:29] Alexa.

[00:08:29] A super good pick.

[00:08:30] That's right.

[00:08:31] Alexa asks her one more time to please come home for Christmas.

[00:08:34] Lucy says that she'll think about it, but she goes to think about it by playing pool with

[00:08:39] her assistant.

[00:08:40] But all she really wants to do is work.

[00:08:43] Work, work, work, work, work.

[00:08:45] After a long day, she goes across the street to a diner, and right as she's about to go

[00:08:51] to town on some pancakes, and gotta be honest, inspired me to also do the same, a guy named

[00:08:57] Matt comes up and says, Lucy, he sits down, and they catch up.

[00:09:03] Is that from the 90s?

[00:09:03] I love Lucy.

[00:09:04] Lucy is not from the 90s.

[00:09:06] You missed it by a few decades.

[00:09:08] Sorry.

[00:09:08] Okay, I take it back.

[00:09:09] Panda's 90s.

[00:09:10] Yeah.

[00:09:11] Panda's 90s.

[00:09:12] Yes.

[00:09:14] He sits down, and they catch up.

[00:09:17] Panda played the bongo drums in the background of one of the Ricky Ricardo-centric episodes.

[00:09:23] Love that.

[00:09:23] Yes.

[00:09:24] I saw them.

[00:09:24] Yeah.

[00:09:25] This is blended right in.

[00:09:27] Yeah.

[00:09:29] They were-

[00:09:29] In the Ricky Ricardo's Cuban band.

[00:09:31] They were-

[00:09:31] That's exactly right.

[00:09:32] If you switch.

[00:09:33] They were friends in high school, and she gets an update on everything from failing

[00:09:39] Broadway to his failing marriage.

[00:09:42] It's, you know, he's a failure.

[00:09:43] He asks if she's coming home for Christmas.

[00:09:46] A winter failure?

[00:09:46] You think?

[00:09:47] Oh, my gosh.

[00:09:49] Coming home soon?

[00:09:50] He asks if she's coming home for Christmas, and she says, oh, no, I haven't been home in

[00:09:54] years.

[00:09:55] And he responds with the same old Lucy.

[00:09:57] And she's like, whoa, let me see it.

[00:09:59] What does that mean?

[00:10:00] He says, oh, you like to avoid the people who were closest to you, including me.

[00:10:05] I thought you knew that about yourself.

[00:10:07] He asks if she ever thinks about what could have been if, you know, things have turned out

[00:10:13] differently.

[00:10:13] And she says, no, I've literally never thought that ever.

[00:10:16] Never crossed my mind.

[00:10:17] I've never had that.

[00:10:19] I'm a normal human being.

[00:10:20] After he leaves, a nosy waitress sits down and asks Lucy if she could do it all over again

[00:10:26] in her life.

[00:10:26] Would she?

[00:10:27] Do it all again.

[00:10:28] And Lucy replies, not hard pass.

[00:10:31] But as Lucy starts to look around the diner, she notices that everybody is with somebody

[00:10:36] except for her, as, you know, diners are known for.

[00:10:40] So it's never full of, you know, like truckers or anything like that.

[00:10:45] So she looks up Matt on social media and accidentally likes an old picture.

[00:10:50] Her life is essentially over at that point.

[00:10:53] She calls an Uber and guess who the Uber driver is?

[00:10:55] It's the nosy waitress from a second ago.

[00:10:58] The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car and Lucy's phone is set to military

[00:11:01] time.

[00:11:02] And that's just kind of the way things go sometimes.

[00:11:05] Lucy falls asleep in the back seat.

[00:11:07] And as they go over a bridge, her phone begins to glitch out.

[00:11:11] Suddenly she's home.

[00:11:12] Not her current home, but her childhood home.

[00:11:14] And in a moment of frenzy and not knowing where she is and why she's there, she forgets her

[00:11:20] phone in the car.

[00:11:21] So she goes inside.

[00:11:22] She sees a dog that looks a lot like her childhood dog, but her childhood dog is dead.

[00:11:26] So she's like, they must have just gotten R&P dogs.

[00:11:29] Obviously.

[00:11:29] Must have got the same breed.

[00:11:30] You look just like, you know, so-and-so.

[00:11:33] But when I wrote that in the name.

[00:11:34] So-and-so.

[00:11:35] Come here.

[00:11:36] Who's your good boy?

[00:11:37] So-and-so.

[00:11:38] But when she wakes up, so-and-so is a star in Finish Line.

[00:11:41] And you need to wait for that one.

[00:11:42] It's coming out later this week.

[00:11:44] Yeah.

[00:11:44] A big star.

[00:11:45] But when she wakes up the next day to kiss me.

[00:11:49] You're on the line.

[00:11:50] Swing.

[00:11:50] Six.

[00:11:51] How you doing?

[00:11:52] It's me, Six.

[00:11:53] How you doing?

[00:11:54] This feels disrespectful.

[00:11:55] This feels disrespectful.

[00:11:56] R&P obvious.

[00:11:57] Obviously.

[00:11:57] They were just in Greenville not too long ago.

[00:11:59] They're still on?

[00:12:00] Oh, they had a reunion.

[00:12:01] Oh, radio room.

[00:12:02] That's right.

[00:12:03] She knows something is off when she hears that song.

[00:12:06] She's fine without her glasses.

[00:12:07] And she has bangs.

[00:12:09] She bangs.

[00:12:10] Is that the 90s?

[00:12:11] It's gotta be.

[00:12:13] She runs outside and grabs the paper.

[00:12:16] It is December of 1999.

[00:12:20] 2000.

[00:12:20] What?

[00:12:21] She bangs 2000.

[00:12:23] She did not bang.

[00:12:25] Wow.

[00:12:25] It's December of 1999.

[00:12:27] That's right.

[00:12:27] Her driver's out there and explains the rules.

[00:12:29] This is a Christmas gift for her.

[00:12:31] But she can't change anything or it will change the future.

[00:12:35] Enjoy 1999.

[00:12:36] It's gonna be a good one.

[00:12:37] She goes inside and sees her mom baking and realizes how much she missed that.

[00:12:42] She goes outside and she runs into Matt, who is her boyfriend at the time.

[00:12:46] And he tells her, I'll see you tonight for that thing.

[00:12:49] Winky face.

[00:12:49] She has no idea what he's talking about.

[00:12:51] So she goes to talk to the only person that might know, her old best friend Nadine.

[00:12:55] Nadine, who is also a sci-fi fan.

[00:12:58] And just tells, she tells Nadine the truth.

[00:13:01] She convinces Nadine that she's from the future.

[00:13:03] And Nadine is 100% on board with helping Lucy figure out why she's back.

[00:13:08] She thinks it's because she botches the first kiss with Matt.

[00:13:12] So if you just go and you kiss him, everything's gonna be good to go.

[00:13:16] Yeah.

[00:13:17] Lucy realizes that she might be sharing too much about her future when the letterhead of

[00:13:23] her partner letter goes away.

[00:13:25] So she goes to meet up with Matt and immediately kisses him.

[00:13:29] And more of the letter disappears.

[00:13:32] Not why she's there.

[00:13:34] Her driver shows up and tells her to just relive the memories.

[00:13:38] Don't try to change a thing.

[00:13:41] But nothing says relive the memories like the Reindeer Games.

[00:13:45] We love them.

[00:13:46] We love the Reindeer Games.

[00:13:48] Because duh.

[00:13:49] Lucy realizes that she's having an absolute blast with Matt and is causing more of her

[00:13:53] letter to disappear.

[00:13:54] She goes home and is shocked to find her grandparents show up.

[00:13:57] She hasn't seen them in a long time.

[00:13:59] She gets a little misty eyed.

[00:14:01] Her grandparents warn her and her sister to prep for Y2K.

[00:14:06] Lucy goes to check on her mom who was working like crazy in the kitchen.

[00:14:10] And she has to sit down.

[00:14:12] Lucy gives her mother some great advice and lets her know that they're all in this together.

[00:14:16] Because this is the first Christmas without dad around.

[00:14:20] Grief isn't going to pass in a day in this.

[00:14:22] But this conversation causes more of her letter to vanish.

[00:14:26] Lucy keeps having heavy hitting conversations one after another.

[00:14:30] When she sees her sister is struggling too,

[00:14:32] she goes to tell her that she knows that she's into girls.

[00:14:36] She tells her that she can come out whenever she's ready,

[00:14:38] but her mom is going to be her biggest supporter.

[00:14:40] She encourages her.

[00:14:41] She apologizes for not being there for her when she needed her the most,

[00:14:45] but tells her that she's proud of her.

[00:14:47] Naturally, this causes more of her letter to disappear.

[00:14:50] She goes to hang out with Matt and they almost kiss again, but they don't.

[00:14:55] She sees that her letter is almost gone entirely.

[00:14:59] Uh-oh, we're up against it now, Bri.

[00:15:02] So she goes to talk to the driver and tells the driver that she wants to make sure that she goes back to the life that she had.

[00:15:09] She worked so hard for it.

[00:15:12] And she finds out that she just has to make it to Christmas Eve.

[00:15:15] Just focus in.

[00:15:17] Do the hard work.

[00:15:18] Focus in.

[00:15:19] You're going to be good.

[00:15:19] She goes to see Matt in a play and quickly realizes why he didn't make it as an actor.

[00:15:26] He runs to meet up with her after the play and tells her that he really wants to make things work between them

[00:15:32] and can sense her pulling away.

[00:15:34] She goes to do what she always does when she needs to think.

[00:15:39] She goes to play pool with her grandpa.

[00:15:40] She asks if he could change anything about his life, would he?

[00:15:44] And he says no.

[00:15:45] Everything he's done, including the mistakes, has led to this woman right here with her.

[00:15:50] He wouldn't want to miss out on that.

[00:15:52] Lucy realizes that she doesn't want to go back to her old life.

[00:15:56] So she rushes to bring a mixed CD to Matt and tells him that she loves him and wants to be with him forever.

[00:16:02] They kiss and her entire new life flashes before her eyes.

[00:16:07] College, weddings, kids, Matt's surprisingly successful acting career.

[00:16:12] Suddenly, Lucy breaks the kiss and has her glasses back.

[00:16:16] It seemed like a shot that didn't need to be taken there.

[00:16:18] She's back in the present.

[00:16:19] Oh my God.

[00:16:20] You saw the performance at the playhouse.

[00:16:23] Chandler Massey shot across the bow from Bran there.

[00:16:26] Not a Chandler Massey shot.

[00:16:27] That's what it sounded like to me.

[00:16:29] Chandler Massey played a great bad actor in that one scene on the stage.

[00:16:35] It was bad.

[00:16:38] Anyway, she's now back into the present, but she has her new life and it's better than anything that she could have ever imagined.

[00:16:46] And she really is with Matt and she really is happy.

[00:16:50] And she's now an estate attorney.

[00:16:52] So that's good.

[00:16:54] She's about to walk into mom's house and she looks out and she sees the driver.

[00:16:59] And she says, thank you.

[00:17:03] A 90s Christmas.

[00:17:07] We did it.

[00:17:08] We did do it.

[00:17:10] Congratulations to us.

[00:17:11] Hey, let's take a break.

[00:18:42] Everybody can listen, right?

[00:18:43] For free still.

[00:18:44] It's not just the double deckers.

[00:18:46] Yeah, but I'm just talking straight to them.

[00:18:48] I'm talking to the double deckers.

[00:18:49] Everyone else, cover your ears.

[00:18:50] Yeah, cover your ears.

[00:18:51] Earmuffs.

[00:18:51] Everyone else.

[00:18:52] Or ramblejamplus.com.

[00:18:53] That's right.

[00:18:54] Become a double decker.

[00:18:56] Go join.

[00:18:57] Come back.

[00:18:57] Everybody else, welcome back.

[00:18:59] Welcome back.

[00:19:00] You get it a little bit later.

[00:19:01] That's right.

[00:19:02] Just like the content.

[00:19:03] That's fair.

[00:19:03] That seems fair.

[00:19:05] Hey, let's talk about this movie.

[00:19:06] Let's break it down.

[00:19:07] Let's share our thoughts.

[00:19:07] We're going to start with the hot take.

[00:19:09] It is where we share exactly how we felt about this movie.

[00:19:12] I would suggest we don't hold back.

[00:19:14] That would be a suggestion that I have.

[00:19:15] This is new.

[00:19:16] I know.

[00:19:17] Taking shots at Chandler Massey and now this.

[00:19:19] Hey, no.

[00:19:20] No, I don't want this to get back to Chandler.

[00:19:22] I thought Chandler was great in this movie.

[00:19:24] That's not what your synopsis said.

[00:19:26] Great as bad.

[00:19:26] Yes, it did if you listen.

[00:19:28] His surprisingly successful acting career.

[00:19:32] Matt's.

[00:19:33] Matt's.

[00:19:33] Matt's.

[00:19:34] Not Chandler.

[00:19:34] Because I talked about his play earlier and you weren't listening.

[00:19:38] I talked about the play and how bad it was.

[00:19:39] Yeah.

[00:19:40] So it's a callback to that.

[00:19:42] Not Chandler's acting.

[00:19:43] No.

[00:19:43] Chandler's great.

[00:19:45] Brian?

[00:19:45] Yeah.

[00:19:45] What do you think about this movie?

[00:19:47] Well, we were baited into a grief movie.

[00:19:49] Yeah.

[00:19:50] Did not see it coming.

[00:19:51] Mm-hmm.

[00:19:51] I expected a nostalgia bomb.

[00:19:54] Like just an explosion of nostalgia.

[00:19:57] I thought they were going to.

[00:19:58] Yeah.

[00:19:58] That's kind of what we got actually.

[00:19:59] It was like a dust bowl.

[00:20:02] Dust bowl.

[00:20:03] Yeah.

[00:20:03] Dust bowl or ball?

[00:20:05] Dust bowl.

[00:20:05] Yeah.

[00:20:06] Bowl.

[00:20:07] I still don't know what you're saying.

[00:20:08] Bowl.

[00:20:09] Bowl.

[00:20:10] Bowl.

[00:20:12] Say it one more time slower.

[00:20:13] Dust bowl.

[00:20:14] It's a dust bowl.

[00:20:15] Yeah.

[00:20:16] Dust bowl.

[00:20:17] Dust bowl.

[00:20:18] Dust bowl.

[00:20:19] Bowl.

[00:20:19] Dust bowl.

[00:20:20] We didn't get that.

[00:20:21] We did not get a nostalgia bomb.

[00:20:24] A language of origin?

[00:20:25] B-A-W-L.

[00:20:27] Brian Sickle.

[00:20:29] But boy, did I enjoy it.

[00:20:31] I think I'm in like a sad movie phase.

[00:20:34] Like these.

[00:20:35] Is your sad movie era?

[00:20:36] I think it is my sad movie era.

[00:20:37] I got a special sweater just for you.

[00:20:38] Oh, perfect.

[00:20:39] These downer movies are kind of working for me.

[00:20:41] And this one did too.

[00:20:42] Even though I kept waiting and waiting for all the great references and the music.

[00:20:49] And like just everything to come.

[00:20:51] And it just did.

[00:20:52] Yeah.

[00:20:53] Really.

[00:20:53] Anything aside from Lou Bega and what's up.

[00:20:55] Yeah.

[00:20:55] We got what's up, which I'm surprised.

[00:20:57] But really light on that.

[00:21:01] The flash forward scene at the end there was like one of the greatest things this season,

[00:21:06] I think.

[00:21:07] Like that.

[00:21:07] I was enthralled by that.

[00:21:09] I really, really liked that.

[00:21:10] The music.

[00:21:10] The like just how it was all edited together.

[00:21:13] It really worked for me.

[00:21:13] Definitely not a feel good Christmas vibes.

[00:21:17] Put it on the background movie.

[00:21:19] Cause like you're going to feel feels, I think from this one.

[00:21:23] But yeah, the end and just the way it was written, like the emotional decision of do

[00:21:28] I throw away everything I want in my life to help people down the road and weighing that

[00:21:34] the whole time and how sort of like gently played the mother's grief was.

[00:21:39] Like I think all the viewers could see like the mother's struggling, but it doesn't come

[00:21:43] out right away.

[00:21:44] They don't like throw it out to you that that's what's going on.

[00:21:46] Do you sort of have to sit in that and wait for that to happen for that conversation

[00:21:49] to happen?

[00:21:50] Uh, this writer's debut, uh, the first one this guy's written.

[00:21:54] Yeah.

[00:21:54] Ryan Peckinpah, I think is how he pronounced it.

[00:21:57] Oh, Peckinpah.

[00:21:57] Yeah.

[00:21:58] Hopefully he does more.

[00:21:58] I liked it.

[00:21:59] Just was not expecting it.

[00:22:01] Once I like set aside.

[00:22:03] Are you more Peck or are you more Pa?

[00:22:05] Ryan hunting Peckinpah.

[00:22:06] Uh, more Peck.

[00:22:07] Yeah.

[00:22:08] Yeah.

[00:22:08] Yeah.

[00:22:09] Uh, so once I settled into what we were in for, I was, I was into it.

[00:22:14] I agree with you, Bri.

[00:22:15] I loved it.

[00:22:17] I had a great time.

[00:22:18] I don't, I, I understand what you're saying, but I thought that as far as movies that handle

[00:22:25] grief goes, I felt like it still had a lightness to it and a funness to it and a whimsy

[00:22:30] to it.

[00:22:31] Um, I thought that the addition of, uh, the cat barrel as the driver was fantastic.

[00:22:39] She was so good, um, on the, with the time that she was on the screen really, really brought

[00:22:45] that home.

[00:22:45] Um, I, I just, I thought that the whole, whole cast was fantastic.

[00:22:49] The conversations that she has with her grandpa.

[00:22:51] Amazing.

[00:22:52] Uh, her and Chandler Massey, wonderful chemistry.

[00:22:54] Even though Chandler Massey plays a guy who's not a good actor.

[00:22:59] To be very clear.

[00:22:59] Chandler Massey.

[00:23:00] And he does it so well.

[00:23:01] Chandler Massey.

[00:23:03] Great actor.

[00:23:03] Really like him.

[00:23:04] He crushes being a bad actor.

[00:23:06] In that, in that play he did.

[00:23:07] Yes.

[00:23:08] Um, Chandler Massey though.

[00:23:10] Wonderful.

[00:23:11] I thought they, these two had a wonderful chemistry.

[00:23:14] Great.

[00:23:14] Great to see, uh, uh, um, uh, snow.

[00:23:18] Uh, what's, uh, uh, what's her first?

[00:23:21] Yes.

[00:23:22] Um, in, uh, uh, in the movie.

[00:23:24] Uh, apparently she only does stuff related to time travel in some way.

[00:23:29] Yeah.

[00:23:29] Turn of the century.

[00:23:30] And there's a reason for it because she's great at it.

[00:23:33] Uh, this movie crushes, loved it.

[00:23:37] Um, and I don't really care what anyone says.

[00:23:40] And, and, and, and, and to what I, you know, you go ahead.

[00:23:44] Yeah.

[00:23:44] I was about to say, it's not fair.

[00:23:46] You know what I'm going to say.

[00:23:47] I was going to try to get ahead of it.

[00:23:48] I'm not going to.

[00:23:49] That wouldn't be fair.

[00:23:50] I'm not going to.

[00:23:50] Um, I didn't care for the movie because the movie couldn't be less bothered with its time

[00:23:58] period or the fun of its premise.

[00:23:59] Um, and I'm not, I'm not willing to tell you it's a bad movie because there are some

[00:24:06] good performances here, especially the three leading ladies, uh, cat barrel, Alex hook

[00:24:10] are both underutilized in this movie and they're both really good.

[00:24:15] I think Ava Bourne is really good.

[00:24:16] Uh, the movie's called the nineties Christmas.

[00:24:20] Call it something different.

[00:24:21] Um, as someone who was basically seven to 17 in the nineties and was very, very excited

[00:24:28] about a movie set in 1999 when I'm roughly the age of these lead characters, I got virtually

[00:24:36] nothing.

[00:24:36] You were out there skanking every week.

[00:24:38] I skanked, skanking every weekend.

[00:24:39] I got, I got not by 99.

[00:24:41] I mean, we all knew it was over.

[00:24:42] I was holding onto it in my heart.

[00:24:44] You knew it was over.

[00:24:46] Oh, I knew it was over.

[00:24:47] Get out of here.

[00:24:47] It was over.

[00:24:48] Uh, I, it just, if you're, if you're calling a movie, a nineties Christmas, you cannot make

[00:24:57] this movie and that was unfortunate.

[00:24:59] And I, that doesn't mean I'm, I'm saying the whole movie sucks because the title's bad, but

[00:25:04] you need to understand the first 30 minutes of this movie is lost to me because I'm just

[00:25:09] angry.

[00:25:10] Like I'm just angry.

[00:25:11] Whose fault is that?

[00:25:12] That's not the film.

[00:25:14] It's not the film's fault.

[00:25:15] Can I interrupt you a single time?

[00:25:16] Oh my gosh.

[00:25:17] This guy.

[00:25:17] All right.

[00:25:18] I just like, cause I know what you're going to, I know what you're going for.

[00:25:21] It's just unfair to the movie.

[00:25:22] It isn't.

[00:25:22] It's unfair to call it a nineties Christmas and give me a time travel premise that is

[00:25:27] centered around the nineties.

[00:25:28] And for the first 30 minutes is someone who wanted to like kind of relive that it didn't,

[00:25:35] didn't happen.

[00:25:36] They are aside from the fact that she doesn't have a cell phone, they are unbothered.

[00:25:41] It could have been from any era at any time.

[00:25:43] And so I feel like the movie is miscategorized and misnamed and that's unfortunate.

[00:25:48] There are good performances.

[00:25:50] There are a few really quality scenes.

[00:25:52] The other thing about this movie that's interesting is the flash forward that you talked about.

[00:25:58] A really like, like fundamentally well done scene, but it opens up the door that, you know,

[00:26:06] you don't watch these movies where they can actually change the timeline.

[00:26:09] Like homework doesn't make the time travel movie where you can change your entire past.

[00:26:17] They don't make that movie.

[00:26:18] They let you go and see it to make you realize that you don't want to change it.

[00:26:24] And so in this movie, this lead basically is like, I could have what I have, or I can have

[00:26:31] what I have plus the love of my life.

[00:26:33] Obviously I'm going to choose what I have plus the love of my life.

[00:26:38] No brainer.

[00:26:38] But in doing so and changing the last 25 years of her life, in my mind, as someone that loves

[00:26:47] time travel movies opens up all kinds of problems.

[00:26:51] It doesn't open up a lot of fun, happy fun times.

[00:26:54] It's like you went back in 99.

[00:26:56] Hopefully you called somebody about Y2K to let them know it wasn't going to happen or 9-11

[00:27:03] or any of these like tragedies.

[00:27:05] Like I, if you can change 25 years, the least of my concerns is you ended up with Chandler

[00:27:11] Massey.

[00:27:11] And so there are some fun vibes in this movie.

[00:27:14] There are some quality performances in this movie.

[00:27:17] I was, it took me a while to get over the nineties thing at the beginning.

[00:27:21] And then the fact that she could change 25 years of her life caught me completely off

[00:27:26] guard at the end of this movie.

[00:27:27] So having said all that, going to wind up somewhere in the middle.

[00:27:31] I feel like we, um, I was trying to wrap my head, Dan, around this.

[00:27:35] Cause I felt like we had seen this before.

[00:27:37] It's in a Lacey Chabert movie.

[00:27:39] Not that it was more recently where they do this thing and they kiss and she sees the

[00:27:43] life and then she's fine.

[00:27:45] Well, take me back for Christmas.

[00:27:47] She goes, but she has to go back at the end of take me back for Christmas.

[00:27:50] She has to either choose for her mom to live.

[00:27:52] Something happens.

[00:27:53] Yeah.

[00:27:54] In a movie.

[00:27:55] And I'm just, I can't remember what the movie is, but she decides she, they do this

[00:28:00] like a very similar thing where it's a kiss and she's now suddenly has all the, the memories

[00:28:05] like downloaded into her.

[00:28:08] I don't know.

[00:28:09] Which is also Chandler Massey.

[00:28:12] Is it love strikes twice?

[00:28:14] Maybe it's love strikes twice.

[00:28:15] There is like a, I just remember having this similar conversation with this.

[00:28:20] I will say this.

[00:28:20] I, I, if I said this never happens, I think that's, if I said that I was wrong, what I

[00:28:28] meant to say is typically in Hallmark, when you have your, your lead choose, they don't

[00:28:35] choose in a manner that changes 25 years of history.

[00:28:38] That's typically not what happens.

[00:28:40] I mean, it's always what happens.

[00:28:41] So obviously hyperbolic there, but it was weird to me that she literally chose a different

[00:28:48] 25 years and had a new 25 years programmed in her brain.

[00:28:52] A great, reminded me of, uh, what's the six feet under that, like how they do the flash

[00:28:57] forward, like, and six feet under one of the best finales of all time of any TV show.

[00:29:02] So it's not to that level, but it had that vibe, but I just had this like sick feeling

[00:29:08] like what, like that means the 25 years she lived is just now, it's just now gone, I

[00:29:14] guess.

[00:29:14] And it just, it was weird to me.

[00:29:16] And so 90, the beginning that in the end, everything in the middle worked a lot better.

[00:29:20] Uh, it's time for all the feels where we're talking about what this movie, uh, gives

[00:29:23] us feels.

[00:29:25] Yeah.

[00:29:25] You.

[00:29:26] Yeah.

[00:29:26] Me, I got a couple.

[00:29:27] So yeah, the subtlety of the, I guess you're right.

[00:29:29] The grief, it was subtle and it was a little light lighter than it could have been.

[00:29:33] And the grandfather, like that scene where he walks in and she realizes this is the

[00:29:38] last Christmas with grandpa.

[00:29:40] That was really like, really well, like almost like inspiring.

[00:29:44] Like, Oh, this is great.

[00:29:45] She's going to get the, like, I was happy for her.

[00:29:47] Uh, but the real, yeah, the grandpa was really my feels like just him being around him getting

[00:29:52] to see him have that time and them having that time together and you know, in the pool

[00:29:56] hall where I'm most comfortable around the pool table.

[00:29:59] Yeah.

[00:30:00] That's right.

[00:30:00] So yeah.

[00:30:01] As the champion.

[00:30:02] As the billiards champion.

[00:30:03] Thank you.

[00:30:03] I didn't want to toot my own horn there.

[00:30:05] A thing we'll definitely do at the marathon next year.

[00:30:07] Uh, yeah, for sure.

[00:30:09] Don't make me making my trophy for nothing.

[00:30:12] Be for nothing.

[00:30:12] We got to make me make my trophy for nothing.

[00:30:15] Don't make Mike the trophy I made myself for nothing.

[00:30:18] Explain that.

[00:30:18] Beth, and that might be it.

[00:30:20] There is there in round and round.

[00:30:22] They kind of have this when there's this realization.

[00:30:24] Well, right around she's living the same day over and over again.

[00:30:26] Yes.

[00:30:27] But at the end there's this flashing.

[00:30:29] Same day over and over again is different than 25 years.

[00:30:31] Very different.

[00:30:32] Yeah.

[00:30:33] I'm thinking of something.

[00:30:34] But he remembers all those days.

[00:30:35] Yes.

[00:30:35] Correct.

[00:30:36] Yes.

[00:30:36] All the days.

[00:30:37] That's what it was.

[00:30:38] Because only one of them exists.

[00:30:39] That's what it was.

[00:30:39] Yeah.

[00:30:39] Yeah.

[00:30:39] I was remembering where a kiss causes.

[00:30:41] No, round and round.

[00:30:42] That's how you do that.

[00:30:43] When you have time loop.

[00:30:44] Time loop, time travel different.

[00:30:46] Like I'm down for the time.

[00:30:49] For sure.

[00:30:50] There was a kiss with a bunch of memories.

[00:30:53] Yes.

[00:30:53] Yes.

[00:30:54] It all came back to me.

[00:30:56] It sure did.

[00:30:56] You didn't have to kiss anybody.

[00:30:58] I know.

[00:31:03] Yeah.

[00:31:04] It's a kiss.

[00:31:29] You could change something.

[00:31:30] Would you?

[00:31:31] That she has throughout the movie.

[00:31:34] I thought were really good conversations.

[00:31:36] Dano?

[00:31:36] I know I find a way to bring up the film about time like five, six times a year on this podcast.

[00:31:41] But the pool scene with the grandfather gave me about time feels.

[00:31:45] Oh, yeah.

[00:31:46] Which is a ping pong game, I believe, with Donald Gleeson.

[00:31:50] I don't know how you say his name.

[00:31:51] I don't know how you say his name.

[00:31:52] It's Brendan Gleeson's son.

[00:31:53] And Bill Nighy.

[00:31:54] One of the best scenes of any movie like that I've ever seen.

[00:31:58] Richard Curtis is about time.

[00:31:59] You should check it out.

[00:32:00] But this scene with the grandfather playing pool.

[00:32:03] Fantastic.

[00:32:04] So good.

[00:32:05] Really.

[00:32:05] He was great.

[00:32:06] He was great.

[00:32:07] He really was solid.

[00:32:08] And they made the most of that scene without being too sentimental.

[00:32:11] I thought the conversation she had with her sister was great.

[00:32:14] I thought the conversation she had with her mom.

[00:32:15] Like all these little things.

[00:32:18] And every time she has one of these conversations, looking at the letter and realizing, I never

[00:32:24] did this.

[00:32:25] And kind of having to deal with that.

[00:32:26] And that's why it's going away.

[00:32:28] I thought it was great.

[00:32:29] Let's take a break.

[00:32:30] We'll come back.

[00:32:30] We'll get to the way, what's, and what.

[00:32:31] The Hallmark here on Deck the Hallmark.

[00:32:34] Ooh.

[00:32:34] Fancy.

[00:32:35] Hi, Nathan.

[00:32:44] Oh, hi.

[00:32:45] Welcome back, everybody.

[00:32:47] Including you.

[00:32:48] Wow.

[00:32:49] Everybody.

[00:32:50] I'm talking to you that's watching on Philo right now.

[00:32:53] Philo.tv slash DTH.

[00:32:55] We're talking to you.

[00:32:56] We did have a few people.

[00:32:58] Remember we talked about how nobody listens to us on the school bus?

[00:33:01] Yes.

[00:33:01] We had a few youngsters reach out.

[00:33:03] You did?

[00:33:03] Tell us that.

[00:33:04] We have one reach out, listen to us on the school bus.

[00:33:06] One, I'm listening in art class right now.

[00:33:08] Don't know if you should be doing that.

[00:33:09] Yeah.

[00:33:09] Not for me to decide.

[00:33:10] Can't condone that.

[00:33:11] You're not an educator anymore.

[00:33:12] No, no, no, no.

[00:33:13] I'm outside the system.

[00:33:14] You're not going to tell anyone.

[00:33:15] No, you do you.

[00:33:16] I'm just saying.

[00:33:17] I think if there was a class to listen, though, it'd be to a podcast.

[00:33:20] So the arts aren't important?

[00:33:22] No, no, no.

[00:33:22] No, no, no.

[00:33:23] If you're doing.

[00:33:24] You're on your work.

[00:33:24] Getting yourself.

[00:33:25] No.

[00:33:25] Yeah.

[00:33:26] Chandler Masters is a bad actor, and you don't think the arts are important.

[00:33:28] That's what I found out.

[00:33:29] I said what I said.

[00:33:30] This is a big, big day for me, to be honest.

[00:33:34] Let's get to the way what.

[00:33:35] This is where we talk about what.

[00:33:36] And this is where we made us go away what.

[00:33:36] I'll start with you, Brian.

[00:33:38] Yeah.

[00:33:38] If you walk through your childhood door and realize you're in the past, and you get

[00:33:43] to hang out with your childhood pet again, that thing's not leaving your side.

[00:33:47] Come on.

[00:33:47] She was just like, oh, hey, doggie, and then just said hi a few times.

[00:33:51] Are you kidding me?

[00:33:52] But I think this is, and I know it's just a big eye roll from everyone when I get in

[00:33:56] any sort of weeds on time travel, but what we understand now is she gets to relive 25

[00:34:01] years of her life.

[00:34:03] And she gets to make right all the wrongs.

[00:34:05] Yeah.

[00:34:06] So hanging out more with your dog, got to be up there.

[00:34:10] Holy cow.

[00:34:11] That gave me chills.

[00:34:12] When that happened, I'm like, she gets to hang out with her dog again?

[00:34:16] Sheesh.

[00:34:17] Oh, man.

[00:34:18] That cool.

[00:34:18] And then you don't see the dog again.

[00:34:19] Yeah.

[00:34:20] You see the dog one more time.

[00:34:22] We'll get to it later.

[00:34:23] I've got all the time in the world.

[00:34:24] Yeah, I've got plenty of time.

[00:34:25] Shout out to Lil Puppy Jack.

[00:34:27] Lil Puppy Jack.

[00:34:28] Lil Puppy Jack.

[00:34:28] First Christmas without him.

[00:34:30] Sad.

[00:34:30] That's tough, man.

[00:34:31] Worst stack of pancakes ever?

[00:34:33] Yeah.

[00:34:34] Possibly seen on screen?

[00:34:34] Maybe they want pancakes, though.

[00:34:36] Of course they did.

[00:34:36] Well, you know what?

[00:34:38] I've made fun of it.

[00:34:39] I wrote it down.

[00:34:39] I was like, wait, what?

[00:34:40] And then they did the waffle.

[00:34:41] And I'm like, you know what?

[00:34:42] This is good breakfast food representation.

[00:34:45] We're getting pancakes and waffles.

[00:34:47] Keep it up.

[00:34:48] Even if it looks bad.

[00:34:49] Even if it looks bad.

[00:34:50] Justice for breakfast food.

[00:34:51] Absolutely.

[00:34:51] Inspired.

[00:34:52] Where some representation has gone down on Hallmark, the breakfast foods are on the

[00:34:57] rise.

[00:34:58] It's like Apple stock.

[00:34:59] They're on the right side of history.

[00:35:00] That's right.

[00:35:01] When they started doing the reindeer game race, the person doing the countdown went

[00:35:05] like this.

[00:35:07] Three, two, one, go.

[00:35:11] No, you can't do that.

[00:35:13] You can't.

[00:35:13] That has to be illegal.

[00:35:14] You have to find a rhythm and stick to it.

[00:35:17] False start.

[00:35:19] Yeah, it was brutal.

[00:35:20] There's no way everybody started right.

[00:35:22] There's no way they're going to have to bring that back.

[00:35:23] It was bad.

[00:35:24] And then there was another sound effect thing.

[00:35:27] Lucy knocking on the car door window.

[00:35:29] I don't know if you caught that.

[00:35:30] It sounded basically like wood.

[00:35:32] It sounded knocking on a wooden desk.

[00:35:34] You love to hear that.

[00:35:36] Sound mixing.

[00:35:37] We've had a lot of moments.

[00:35:39] We've had a lot of moments in these movies and in real life where something is a meeting

[00:35:46] and you're like, it should have been an email.

[00:35:48] I feel like making partner is meeting worthy, right?

[00:35:52] Yes.

[00:35:53] I was like, she just gets it in a letter.

[00:35:56] Maybe she had a meeting first where she like, they talk to her and then this is like

[00:35:59] the official.

[00:36:00] It feels like a meeting, right?

[00:36:02] It does feel like a meeting.

[00:36:03] Hey, you did it.

[00:36:04] You're a partner.

[00:36:05] But they can't disappear a meeting.

[00:36:06] They can't.

[00:36:07] They can't back to the future a meeting.

[00:36:08] That's true.

[00:36:09] You can't.

[00:36:09] They can't back to the future it.

[00:36:11] Yeah.

[00:36:12] I just felt like in this one very specific case, should have been a meeting.

[00:36:16] Not an email.

[00:36:17] Should have been a meeting.

[00:36:18] I like, there's so many times where she says something that is like modern and people just

[00:36:27] like stare at her and don't push her on it.

[00:36:29] Really?

[00:36:29] Yeah.

[00:36:30] The only time that someone really does.

[00:36:32] You're not taking your daughter to the hospital.

[00:36:33] The only time someone does push her and it's for a second, she like says, it's like a Pinterest

[00:36:38] board in here.

[00:36:38] And her mom's like, what's a Pinterest board?

[00:36:40] And she's like, don't worry about it.

[00:36:41] Her mom's like, yeah, sure.

[00:36:43] Fair enough.

[00:36:44] There she is again.

[00:36:46] Just make it up stuff.

[00:36:47] You know how she always compares things to things that don't exist.

[00:36:52] We love her for it.

[00:36:53] She's amazing.

[00:36:57] As much as I love the billiard scene, it was wonderful.

[00:37:00] She does, or she brings up the fact that she learned how to play pool because as a kid,

[00:37:06] her grandpa would bring her to the pool hall that he would play at.

[00:37:10] And there's no way that that guy was playing at a pool hall where kids are just, come on

[00:37:16] in.

[00:37:17] Come on into the pool.

[00:37:18] You go to the pool hall with your-

[00:37:20] You can't say it.

[00:37:21] I can't.

[00:37:21] Give me three more pool halls.

[00:37:23] Okay.

[00:37:23] Okay.

[00:37:24] Okay.

[00:37:24] Here we go.

[00:37:24] Here we go.

[00:37:24] Ready?

[00:37:25] Yep.

[00:37:25] Pool hall, pool hall, pool hall.

[00:37:29] Ball.

[00:37:29] You know what?

[00:37:30] Ball.

[00:37:30] I take back this way what?

[00:37:32] It's great.

[00:37:32] This is a great moment in this movie and I totally buy it.

[00:37:36] Totally buy it.

[00:37:37] Um, this movie cares so little about, uh, it being a 1999 at one point they play Reliant

[00:37:44] K is 12 days of Christmas, which is from 2003.

[00:37:48] Uh, it's not even like in the ballpark.

[00:37:50] Uh, you know, you have so many versions.

[00:37:53] Yeah.

[00:37:54] You have so many versions of this song.

[00:37:56] Uh, and especially with Alex hook, who's in a television program, the way home that

[00:38:01] takes that so seriously to play the music from the time period and make sure it's

[00:38:05] correct.

[00:38:05] And they're just, they don't care.

[00:38:07] They're just like, who cares?

[00:38:08] It's, it's in the past, whatever.

[00:38:10] We don't care.

[00:38:10] The question about the 12 days of Christmas is how much of that.

[00:38:14] Cause it was the constant, like, uh, the rest of the, that the one that Reliant K

[00:38:18] doesn't disappear the letter.

[00:38:20] Reliant K was just playing on the radio.

[00:38:21] It's just a reminder.

[00:38:22] Yes.

[00:38:22] It's just like, she hates the song.

[00:38:23] It's not the, that's not the one that disappears.

[00:38:25] Cause I'm going to be like, how much of that can people hear?

[00:38:27] Like, or is that what she's?

[00:38:29] Oh, sure.

[00:38:29] I gotcha.

[00:38:30] Yeah.

[00:38:30] I don't know.

[00:38:30] Go ahead.

[00:38:31] Yeah.

[00:38:31] Missed it by four years guys.

[00:38:33] Uh, it's great.

[00:38:35] Right.

[00:38:36] At one point, Chandler Massey says, my parents don't like, this is me paraphrasing.

[00:38:41] My parents don't like that.

[00:38:42] I'm acting.

[00:38:43] They want me to go into something less volatile than acting like, uh, like sales, which I don't

[00:38:49] even know about sales, but very dependent upon the market and people buying things.

[00:38:57] Uh, also being good at sales.

[00:38:59] Yeah.

[00:38:59] Being good at it.

[00:39:00] Like, is it a little bit more secure than acting?

[00:39:02] Yeah, maybe.

[00:39:03] But like, it's not like they're telling you to go into like business or lawyer or it's,

[00:39:09] they, they're like, we want you to have something secure like sales.

[00:39:14] No, no, but that is just, it's very up and down that sales unit.

[00:39:19] It's tricky like that.

[00:39:20] Uh, that sales.

[00:39:21] Um, and then I believe, and lawyers in the chat or if it, like we've got several in the

[00:39:27] double deckers at one point, she says that if she goes to Columbia instead of Northwestern,

[00:39:35] it might take her longer to make partner.

[00:39:39] That's the way I understood that sentence that she said.

[00:39:43] Brand, do you remember that?

[00:39:45] She said Chandler mass is trying to get her to Columbia and she's like, if I go to Columbia,

[00:39:49] it might take me longer to make partner as if somehow, I mean, Northwestern, a renowned

[00:39:55] law school, but Columbia is not some fly by night institution where you're not going to

[00:40:00] make partner.

[00:40:01] Cause it's a bad law school.

[00:40:02] I gotta be honest.

[00:40:03] I know so little about law.

[00:40:05] Well, Whitney in the chat said it didn't make sense.

[00:40:08] That makes me feel better.

[00:40:09] Please.

[00:40:09] Yeah.

[00:40:10] Hi.

[00:40:10] Hi.

[00:40:13] I just want to offer my interpretation of that line when she said it is I think because

[00:40:17] she went to Northwestern, right?

[00:40:20] Yes.

[00:40:21] Chicago had already taken her so long to make partner.

[00:40:24] She was afraid of changing her future because what if it's the worst future is like now instead

[00:40:30] of taking until she's 44 to make partner, she has to wait until she's like 50 or 60.

[00:40:35] That's how I took it.

[00:40:35] She was like, she's like, I don't know, but I know that if I go to Northwestern, this is

[00:40:40] my right.

[00:40:40] That's a, I mean, that's a generous read.

[00:40:42] I mean, if that's the read, then you're, you're, you're, you're right.

[00:40:44] I just, everybody in the chat, at least the two lawyers that I know were both were in the

[00:40:48] chat.

[00:40:48] Thank God.

[00:40:49] We're like, it doesn't make sense.

[00:40:50] If that's the read, then I don't have a problem.

[00:40:52] When she said it in the movie, that's how I assumed she meant it.

[00:40:54] When I heard it, I was like, what in the world is she talking about?

[00:40:58] She's like, I can't go to Columbia.

[00:40:59] It'll take me longer to make partner.

[00:41:00] What she just said makes sense.

[00:41:02] I thought she meant because if she went to New York, she would be less distracted, get

[00:41:08] away.

[00:41:09] More distracted.

[00:41:10] Chicago's Northwestern.

[00:41:11] Right, right, right.

[00:41:11] She'd be, if she went there, she'd be less distracted.

[00:41:13] She could focus and get out of there.

[00:41:14] That's how I took it.

[00:41:15] So I didn't think it was a school thing.

[00:41:16] So my interpretation, which that, that's the one that doesn't make sense.

[00:41:20] Like, if I go here, I'm such a bad, I'm so bad at being a professional and in love that

[00:41:26] if I go to school with you at an esteemed institution, it will take me longer to make partner because

[00:41:31] I'll be distracted by my boyfriend.

[00:41:34] That's a terrible read.

[00:41:35] So my interpretation was oogly boogly.

[00:41:38] Yes.

[00:41:39] Weirdly enough, that's how I heard it.

[00:41:41] Interesting.

[00:41:41] Okay.

[00:41:42] You know, we all hear things differently.

[00:41:43] I think Brian's onto something.

[00:41:44] That's a good one.

[00:41:44] My interpretation was pool hall.

[00:41:46] Pool hall.

[00:41:47] Pool hall.

[00:41:47] Bowl.

[00:41:48] Pool hall.

[00:41:48] Pool hall.

[00:41:49] Yeah.

[00:41:50] All right.

[00:41:50] That's all I got.

[00:41:51] It's time for the hallmarkers where we wonder what could have been maybe happening.

[00:41:53] So Clary, any questions that we still have?

[00:41:54] What are we wondering about that we would like some answers to?

[00:41:58] Brian?

[00:41:59] So it's a dust bowl.

[00:42:00] Dust bowl.

[00:42:01] Dust bowl.

[00:42:02] Ball.

[00:42:02] Ball.

[00:42:03] Dust bowl.

[00:42:05] Ball.

[00:42:05] Dust bowl.

[00:42:05] Let's play some football.

[00:42:07] Is that why Brian has a hard time pronouncing it?

[00:42:09] Because dust bowl and pool hall, like bowl and hall sound the same for him?

[00:42:13] Yeah, it's a flip.

[00:42:13] Oh, it's a pool ball.

[00:42:14] That felt unnecessary, Aaron.

[00:42:17] No, I'm just saying like the way it's pronounced.

[00:42:19] Brian talks about Chandler Massey.

[00:42:22] You're acting like a brain speaker.

[00:42:25] His character.

[00:42:26] I wasn't saying it in a different way.

[00:42:28] I was just saying like with the accent.

[00:42:30] He was just a human.

[00:42:31] That's right.

[00:42:31] I am calling it.

[00:42:31] The words are hard because they sound similar.

[00:42:33] I am calling into question the character of Chandler Massey.

[00:42:37] You mean calling.

[00:42:38] Yes, calling.

[00:42:40] Calling into question.

[00:42:41] My real one was that car was a cool looking car.

[00:42:45] She was driving around.

[00:42:46] What kind of car is that?

[00:42:47] Where can we get one of those for Deck the Home Market?

[00:42:49] And is it electric so we can get a tax write-off?

[00:42:52] It's a good question.

[00:42:53] Thank you.

[00:42:53] And then we flip it.

[00:42:55] Right?

[00:42:55] Then we flip it.

[00:42:56] Once you flip it, you flip it.

[00:42:57] Then you do it again.

[00:42:58] I want to be in something less volatile than acting.

[00:43:00] I'm going to flip cars.

[00:43:01] I'm going to flip cars.

[00:43:03] Which is what you do.

[00:43:04] Yeah.

[00:43:05] By and large.

[00:43:06] Basically a car flipper.

[00:43:07] Pretty much.

[00:43:07] It is coming up on that.

[00:43:09] It is about that.

[00:43:09] How dare you?

[00:43:10] You must be getting an age.

[00:43:11] Five months?

[00:43:12] Yeah.

[00:43:13] We'll get through Christmas and then we'll see.

[00:43:15] Let's get through Christmas.

[00:43:15] Let's see the 2025 hold.

[00:43:17] Who knows?

[00:43:18] It's rebates, man.

[00:43:19] That's crazy.

[00:43:19] Yeah.

[00:43:20] I mean, obviously it is tricky.

[00:43:26] The ending of the movie.

[00:43:28] It's bull.

[00:43:28] Pool hole.

[00:43:30] So like she gets all of these memories like downloaded into her.

[00:43:35] It's tough, man.

[00:43:36] And listen, do I have a problem with it?

[00:43:38] No.

[00:43:38] Did it make me like the movie any less?

[00:43:41] No.

[00:43:41] But it is an ending that is begging you not to sit on it for too long.

[00:43:47] To think any longer about it.

[00:43:48] Because it is like, hey.

[00:43:52] Think of all the good Kyle Chandler does in early edition.

[00:43:55] Just knowing one day early.

[00:43:56] In 25 years, did she do anything of value aside from better herself?

[00:44:03] Anything.

[00:44:03] We don't know.

[00:44:04] Get her sister some Apple stock maybe?

[00:44:06] Yes.

[00:44:07] Her friend.

[00:44:08] Her friend.

[00:44:08] Excuse me.

[00:44:08] Yeah, my bad.

[00:44:09] Yeah.

[00:44:10] I hope she gave her a little something on that.

[00:44:11] I, uh.

[00:44:13] Yeah.

[00:44:13] A little big.

[00:44:14] Because it is like so much of, you know, like as a, as a parent.

[00:44:19] Yeah.

[00:44:19] So much.

[00:44:20] Like what are those memories that she has?

[00:44:23] Because so much of the memories is not the memory, but the actual, you were there.

[00:44:28] You did it.

[00:44:28] That's right.

[00:44:29] You know, and that's what makes the memories sweet.

[00:44:31] That was the hardest part about this.

[00:44:32] I was expecting her to go back to present day and then Chandler Massey's getting a divorce.

[00:44:37] They wind up together and everything's great.

[00:44:40] We don't need to have, you know, the whole kids picket fence thing.

[00:44:45] Like it, it's fine.

[00:44:45] I liked it though.

[00:44:46] She's a great professional.

[00:44:47] I liked it.

[00:44:48] It was different and I liked it.

[00:44:49] You get that cool flash forward.

[00:44:50] Yeah.

[00:44:51] And the flash forward is well, it, it, it brings up more questions than answers, but

[00:44:54] it's well done.

[00:44:55] And I think the rush of feels makes up for the fact, at least in some parts that it

[00:45:01] doesn't really make, like you have more questions than answers.

[00:45:03] Yeah.

[00:45:03] But I'm fine with it.

[00:45:04] Yeah.

[00:45:05] I'm fine with it.

[00:45:05] I think it's a big week and we just move right back.

[00:45:06] Yeah.

[00:45:07] It's a big week.

[00:45:07] It's a big week.

[00:45:08] For you.

[00:45:09] Brayne, I want you to go back and listen.

[00:45:11] I, this may be a bit.

[00:45:12] Pool hall.

[00:45:13] Uh, this may be easy to answer, but when I was watching this initially, I think that

[00:45:20] that might be a cover of kiss me by six and not by six pencil.

[00:45:24] Interesting.

[00:45:25] It is.

[00:45:26] If you go and listen, it does not sound, it doesn't sound quite right.

[00:45:32] And maybe it was just what they use.

[00:45:34] Six is older now.

[00:45:35] Yeah.

[00:45:35] Six is older.

[00:45:36] Not the same old Pence family's got six and swing, swing, swing, swing.

[00:45:41] And, and that was a little richer now though.

[00:45:42] That was, yeah, for sure.

[00:45:43] So I don't think so.

[00:45:44] Actually.

[00:45:45] Yeah.

[00:45:45] By now.

[00:45:46] Maybe not.

[00:45:47] I just, I'm curious if they didn't bother to get the, the OG and they just used a cover.

[00:45:52] We could probably shazam it.

[00:45:54] We could.

[00:45:55] Shazam.

[00:45:55] It's true.

[00:45:56] Yeah.

[00:45:56] Or maybe they're trying to make it sound like it was on the radio.

[00:45:58] Like tinny.

[00:45:59] Yeah.

[00:45:59] Maybe it could be.

[00:46:00] A little filter on that.

[00:46:02] So there are all things we could.

[00:46:03] Sound effects.

[00:46:03] We could.

[00:46:03] If we put our minds together.

[00:46:04] I bet we could crack it.

[00:46:05] Then we could do it.

[00:46:06] Hey everybody.

[00:46:06] It's a big week.

[00:46:07] And we're going to be back, uh, back tomorrow.

[00:46:09] Do we need to do a double decker of the week?

[00:46:11] Yeah, we do.

[00:46:12] It's Tuesday.

[00:46:13] It's Tuesday.

[00:46:15] Let's talk about double decker of the week.

[00:46:16] You've heard us talk about Bramble Jam Plus.

[00:46:18] You heard me say hello to them and only them for a moment.

[00:46:21] If you want to be in that group, you can sign up BrambleJamPlus.com.

[00:46:24] At the double decker tier or higher, you're going to get to join the Facebook group and

[00:46:27] a ton of other fun perks.

[00:46:29] But you're also going to get to hear Brian do the deep dive on your life and put out

[00:46:34] all of your dirty laundry for everybody to hear.

[00:46:36] And it is a big moment for people that have been waiting a long time.

[00:46:40] Who do we have today, Dana?

[00:46:41] We have Christy Levy.

[00:46:43] Christy Levy.

[00:46:44] Finally!

[00:46:45] Yeah.

[00:46:45] Waited a long time.

[00:46:46] Yeah.

[00:46:47] Overdude.

[00:46:48] I did a little digging.

[00:46:50] A little research on Christy.

[00:46:51] Christy cares about two things in this world.

[00:46:55] Moderation and not tolerating lactose.

[00:46:58] Those are the two big things.

[00:47:01] Moderation and lactose intolerance.

[00:47:02] That's right.

[00:47:03] Okay.

[00:47:04] In that order.

[00:47:05] Those are the two most important.

[00:47:07] She's tolerant, lactose intolerant?

[00:47:09] Is that what we're going for?

[00:47:10] She's lactose intolerant.

[00:47:12] And she knows a lot of people are too.

[00:47:13] Okay.

[00:47:14] So she does not tolerate lactose.

[00:47:16] Okay.

[00:47:16] But she's big on moderation.

[00:47:19] Yeah.

[00:47:19] But everything, you know, moderation is key.

[00:47:21] Okay.

[00:47:22] With all things.

[00:47:22] So she went ahead and, you know, dove into the kitchen as anybody who has these two.

[00:47:28] Key qualities would do and came up with a little recipe that's going to be hitting the markets.

[00:47:32] The recipe is going to hit the markets?

[00:47:34] Yeah.

[00:47:34] It's sort of, it's like a.

[00:47:36] She's selling a recipe?

[00:47:37] For what?

[00:47:37] She came up with a recipe for a product and she's going to sell the product.

[00:47:40] Okay.

[00:47:41] And it's sort of like, you know, like, I don't know.

[00:47:42] People who have lactose intolerance, do they know how good cream cheese frosting is?

[00:47:46] I don't think they do.

[00:47:47] You know who doesn't like cream cheese frosting?

[00:47:49] Get out of town.

[00:47:50] Get out of town.

[00:47:51] I hate it.

[00:47:51] I actually just had a conversation about it with my wife over the weekend because we had,

[00:47:55] we got some.

[00:47:56] I baked my wife a cake for her birthday and I made a frosting that wasn't cream cheese

[00:47:59] because my wife can't have dairy and you would have loved it.

[00:48:02] You loved it.

[00:48:02] And I was like, this is like inferior in every way.

[00:48:05] He's wrong.

[00:48:06] He's 100% wrong.

[00:48:06] Yeah, of course he's wrong.

[00:48:07] I just feel bad for him now.

[00:48:09] And like she did all this work on this recipe and stuff and like you're not even going to enjoy.

[00:48:14] Would it make you feel better if I just say that I don't eat it because I'm a lactose intolerant?

[00:48:18] Yeah.

[00:48:19] Because then there's a chance that you would try her product, which is hitting the show.

[00:48:23] What is it?

[00:48:23] What is it?

[00:48:24] Well, yeah.

[00:48:24] She's named it cream cheese frosting.

[00:48:28] Cream cheese?

[00:48:29] That sounds dirty.

[00:48:30] I don't know how exactly, but it does.

[00:48:33] It's a spin on cream cheese frosting.

[00:48:36] It's cream cheese frosting, but there's no dairy.

[00:48:39] Right.

[00:48:40] There's a tease of dairy in there?

[00:48:42] No.

[00:48:42] Well, that's the tease.

[00:48:45] If you have a little bit of a...

[00:48:47] No.

[00:48:48] What does it say on the product?

[00:48:49] You can't play roulette with cream cheese.

[00:48:51] I know that.

[00:48:52] I know the name of it.

[00:48:53] Does it say no dairy?

[00:48:54] A cream cheese replacement for those who are lactose intolerant and enjoy moderation.

[00:48:58] What is the moderation part of it?

[00:49:00] Enjoy moderation makes me feel like there is a little bit.

[00:49:02] There is a little bit of dairy.

[00:49:04] So there is a little bit in there?

[00:49:06] You can't do that to people.

[00:49:07] It's just a tease.

[00:49:09] I mean, you can if you say it out.

[00:49:11] If you're telling them about it.

[00:49:11] But who's buying that product?

[00:49:13] People that love moderation and who like a little tease.

[00:49:16] But can I ask you this?

[00:49:17] Or cream cheese.

[00:49:18] People that like moderation, why don't they just do the real thing and talk about a little

[00:49:22] bit of it?

[00:49:23] Because it's probably too much.

[00:49:24] If you have a dairy allergy, having a little bit of dairy in a lot is pretty much the same

[00:49:27] thing.

[00:49:27] If you have a dairy allergy.

[00:49:28] I don't know why you would get just the one with a little of dairy in there.

[00:49:33] The cream cheese frosting.

[00:49:34] Yeah, it's just a tease of it.

[00:49:37] What does that mean?

[00:49:38] It plays a big part.

[00:49:39] What does it mean?

[00:49:40] It's just like you wet your whistle.

[00:49:41] Can you give me some numbers?

[00:49:42] It's just wetting your whistle.

[00:49:43] That's all.

[00:49:43] Wetting your whistle?

[00:49:44] It's just getting your foot in the door.

[00:49:46] Can I ask you?

[00:49:46] No!

[00:49:46] So hold on.

[00:49:48] So if I wanted to make, which I would never do, if I wanted to make cream cheese frosting.

[00:49:54] Cream cheese frosting.

[00:49:56] What's the one to one?

[00:49:58] How much of the cream cheese do I have to use to make it taste like I'm using real cream

[00:50:07] cheese?

[00:50:07] Right out of the tube, it tastes just like it.

[00:50:09] Right out of the tube.

[00:50:10] It's a tube?

[00:50:11] It's a toothpaste of cream cheese?

[00:50:13] Yeah, that's how you get it all out.

[00:50:14] You make sure you get it all out.

[00:50:16] It's not a bad thing, I feel like.

[00:50:20] Just a little bit.

[00:50:21] If it tastes exactly the same as cream cheese, but with significantly less, what we're talking

[00:50:29] 90, 95% less dairy.

[00:50:31] But just because it's less dairy doesn't mean it's healthier.

[00:50:33] No, but it could mean that they could do something more with it.

[00:50:37] That's right.

[00:50:38] More options.

[00:50:39] More options.

[00:50:40] I don't know, man.

[00:50:41] A moderate amount.

[00:50:41] I'm just talking about...

[00:50:42] And this isn't just cream cheese.

[00:50:44] Cream cheese, she's made cream cheese frosting?

[00:50:48] Yeah, frosting.

[00:50:49] So you can't go to the store and get a bucket of cream cheese?

[00:50:51] No, no, no, no, no.

[00:50:52] Okay.

[00:50:53] No, this is just frosting.

[00:50:54] Got it.

[00:50:54] This is for the good stuff.

[00:50:55] The cakes, what have you.

[00:50:56] What have you.

[00:50:57] Cupcakes.

[00:50:59] Cool.

[00:50:59] All right, we did it!

[00:51:00] Christy Levy, everybody.

[00:51:01] It's cream cheese.

[00:51:02] It's cream cheese.

[00:51:03] I have words, she just canceled.

[00:51:04] She just canceled.

[00:51:05] That's tough.

[00:51:06] Subscription gone.

[00:51:06] Mission accomplished.

[00:51:07] So next in line is...

[00:51:11] But if you can get it to taste, I didn't know.

[00:51:14] If you're identical to cream cheese, using such a small amount of cream cheese, why not

[00:51:19] just up the knot?

[00:51:21] Yeah.

[00:51:22] Why not just use not cream cheese and up the knot?

[00:51:26] You know what I mean?

[00:51:26] Then you can be 100% dairy free and have the same taste.

[00:51:29] It just seems like there's not a big market for someone that wants a hint of cream cheese.

[00:51:35] This is the tease portion.

[00:51:36] It sounds like she created an amazing cream cheese replacement, but she goofed it because

[00:51:43] she used a little bit of cream cheese.

[00:51:46] So now she can't say no dairy.

[00:51:48] Yeah.

[00:51:49] I know.

[00:51:49] Well, this is the stuff that I've been trying to tell her.

[00:51:51] And I'm glad that we're figuring this out for her and this product.

[00:51:55] It's almost like she wrote down the name of the product first and went back from there.

[00:51:59] Reverse engineered that.

[00:52:00] Yeah.

[00:52:01] Yeah.

[00:52:01] I've heard that she's a legend.

[00:52:02] Wait for it.

[00:52:04] We're going to be back tomorrow with another episode.

[00:52:07] What's tomorrow?

[00:52:08] Is it Debbie?

[00:52:08] Joyful Mrs. Miracle.

[00:52:10] Debbie.

[00:52:10] Debbie's on the line.

[00:52:11] Until then, maybe the first to wish you a Merry Christmas.

[00:52:15] Dairy.
