"A Heidelberg Holiday" originally aired November 12th, 2023. And it went a little something like this...
🚨GLASS BLOWING Alert🚨! This movie kicks off with glass blowing.
Every year Heidi applies for the Heidelberg Christmas festival and every year she gets rejected. It’s Thanksgiving day and she gets big call - someone dropped out of the festival! Heidi Heidelberg is going to Heidelberg! Her grandma gives her some papers from her youth and sends her on her way.
The shipping of her ornaments was gonna be way too much but this shipping guy is like, “you should check out the other ups - they’ll give you a way cheaper price.” So she does and heads on her way.
Getting around Germany is more confusing than she thought and she ends up walking a lot to get to the family friends she staying with. A hunk named Lukas ends up helping with her bag and the good news is she’s staying at his parents!
She spends the evening getting to know the family and their traditions. The next day, Lukas helps get her set up at the market and she learns the German art of not giving an F. She leaves her booth constantly and keeps making sales, which is great news except her shipment’s stuck in Iceland.
To get her mind off of that, Lukas shows her ALLLLL the big old buildings and says goodnight with the double cheek kiss. ITS CUSTOMARY YOU PERVS!
They celebrate Saint Nicolas day together, go on more walks, and do as little work as possible. He’s showing her all the things her grandma told her to see which brings them to a Christmas bridge at night and they kisssssss!
And things keep coming up aces - she sells out of all of her ornament on pre-sale alone, he makes her an amazing woodworking piece for Christmas. AND the family brings in a Christmas tree , a week early by German tradition, to help her feel at home.
Her ornaments show up and all of the ornaments are broken. She decides she’s just gonna leave but then inspiration hits and she glues her broken pieces on to his cool carving piece. So they make a ton of these pieces and get invited back again for next year as a team! They kiss to celebrate!
They have one last piece left and grandma shows up and says I’ll take it! They go back to the family house and kiss some more!
