[00:03:23] I was like, oh, this is going to be great And then it just all felt It was like, it was too rigid Like, punk and rock It's not supposed to be rigid It's supposed to like And so like, Newfound Glory Who I'm not a huge fan of They got it I thoroughly enjoyed their show They were going all out the entire time You know, could have done without ever seeing the Plain White Tees But I have now You got Hey There Delilah Congratulations

[00:08:21] She insists that the evil Shapeshifting Skrulls Have ruined life As we know it Carol You're entirely I know you don't remember anything But just know It was bad And it was all because Of the Skrulls So she just rolls with it She didn't know any better While on a mission To save a Cree spy Things immediately go sideways The Skrulls Capture Carol Start digging around In her memories Something that they can do Discovering that she used to be

[00:08:50] An Air Force pilot On Earth Their leader Talos Becomes very interested In a scientist That he can see In the memories Named Dr. Wendy Lawson Who She's important Carol escapes Before they get all of the answers And they end up crash landing Straight into a blockbuster In 1995 Los Angeles Okay And I crashed into you Her arrival Gets the attention Of a young

[00:09:20] Nicholas Fury If you can believe it Heard of him Who at this time Still had two working eyes Spends most of this movie Being confused Picking up on things He doesn't have all the information That he has I'm not used to this The Nick Fury I know It's like Oh you're surprised by this That's right But back then He's the one surprised By all this After a series of chases Explosions Scrolls impersonating Anybody that they literally want to Because they can shape shift Carol starts uncovering

[00:09:49] Pieces of her past And she learns That she wasn't born In Hala at all She's not a Hullaback girl She learns that She was in the Air Force She was a pilot She was presumed dead After a crash Years earlier And yet Dan I don't know if you know this She's not dead Not dead She's very much alive Very much alive As Carol and Nick Follow the breadcrumbs She reconnects with an old friend Maria From the Force Who immediately is like Oh You're alive And then kind of rolls with it Pretty easily

[00:10:19] I'll be honest with you Meanwhile Talos Finally reveals That the scrolls Aren't conquering villains At all They are refugees Looking for a home Turns out The Kree May not have been Entirely honest At all The biggest bombshell Comes when Carol remembers What really happened Dr. Lawson From the memory I remember Dr. Lawson Was actually Mar-Vell A Kree scientist Secretly helping The scrolls She's killed While taking control Of an experimental Energy source

[00:10:48] Carol destroyed the engine And to keep it From the Kree And absorbed all Of the energy From this explosion Which you'd think That's bad No Good Because she Gains incredible powers And then When she was found Her memories Were erased By the Kree So they can turn her Into a weapon Knowing what she Is able to do She even has A little thing On her ear That allows them To control her So the gang Tracks down Mar-Vell's Hidden space laboratory There's a bunch Of scroll refugees

[00:11:18] There hiding Unfortunately The Star Force Is what they're called Their group of people They show up And it's not good Everybody They're trying To take over Carol though She gets She goes And she sees The AI Leader lady And Destroys the device Eliminating her powers Allowing her to go Full Captain Marvel On them What happens Is then a One-sided Beatdown Thanks to Captain Marvel

[00:11:48] With her Untethered Powers With the scrolls Safe for the moment Carol decides To head Off into space To help them Find a permanent home But before leaving She gives Nick Fury A little pager In an In case of Emergency situation Right Ice Yes And So We also find out That Fury Loses his eye With an incident Involving Goose A cat Who's actually An alien

[00:12:17] Who's holding A tesseract In his tummy Got it? Good This is a side plot It doesn't matter Looking at Carol's old Air Force Call sign He lands on The perfect name For what he's Going to be working on You guessed it folks The Avengers Initiative And in a mid-credit scene The pager goes off Carol's going to Be returning to Earth And Maybe helping out With a little Something that's Been going on Over there And that might be Marvel We Did it

[00:13:17] How Rye Guy Felt about this movie When he let it slip Last week Where it is In his rankings But regardless I'd love for you to Perhaps Expound on The hot take I've been waiting for All week long What do you think Of Captain Marvel Well I was really excited For this movie When it came out As we just learned Before the synopsis This is Less than two months Before Endgame I mean like Less than two Basically a trailer At this point I'm sure in some places In the country In the world This was still in theaters When Endgame Correct For sure Had to be

[00:13:46] Yeah It's only six weeks It's worth noting From a historical standpoint I'm sure if I didn't say this Dan This movie made over a billion dollars Over a billion dollars A really cool historical moment They said it wouldn't It was during COVID-esque And Or no it wasn't It was before COVID They said it would not work They said that it was Too big a swing Marvel was going On the way downhill It was a raging success Regardless of the There was literal media That said otherwise This movie made over a billion dollars You're correct Go ahead

[00:14:15] And I think that's awesome I couldn't have been more excited It was very well known That this movie would be set In the 90s Obviously there was An assumption Nothing that Marvel outright said But you would think That there'd be some Real tangible Direct connect To Endgame Considering it's coming out Less than two months later Also the first MCU Female led film Which is again Why it's also awesome It made over a billion dollars All the pieces were there It's sadly Just a mostly Pretty disappointing film

[00:14:44] And I really wish It was a lot better Like It's a shame too I really like Brie Larson She gets a lot of flack For I feel like Seemingly just being A woman with an opinion And so I think she's very talented I like her a lot I like her in this role Even if the material Doesn't always serve her This movie's biggest sin though For me is that It's just boring I just think it's primarily Well Dan you really like this movie Dude I I Well just wait You'll get this chance I love I love

[00:15:13] I love you so much right Yeah I also think it's A bit disjointed And pretty odd In the first 20 minutes It doesn't make sense As Dan has said multiple times That Captain Marvel Just hasn't popped up Yet It's comic book storytelling You just have to live with it There's things I like And I should note That I probably saw this In theaters twice At this point This is the height of movie pass Like the height Maybe it's even Slightly on the decline At this point So I was going to the movies All the time

[00:15:42] And I really told myself That I liked this film At the time And like you know Saw it twice in theaters Enjoyed it And then didn't go back to it For a long time Have since gone back to it Before this rewatch And I like it a little less Every time And now yeah I have it pretty low But like I love the stuff With Samuel L And Brie Larson Like I love it a lot So most of the movie Yep What That's a big chunk of the movie No it's That would be A firm exaggeration To say it's most of the movie It's at least a third Yeah Which would mean The two thirds of it or not

[00:16:12] I didn't say most I said a big chunk Most was not fair Yeah I'm saying that I enjoy that stuff I think Not that it really matters Either which way The de-aging On Samuel L Looks pretty good I was going to say that too I thought he looked good Yeah It's some of the best I've seen I just think the editing choices Are wonky The movie to me Never feels centered The problem that this movie has Is why they never made A standalone Scarlet Witch movie Is that Captain Marvel By her very presence By the needs of the universe

[00:16:41] Is the most powerful being In the universe You never really Without a Krypton Like thing It's like you know There's no reason to believe That you know She's ever going to lose And you need characters like that Because you know Doomsday is coming up You always need to invent A bigger bad And you need you know A reasonable reason To defeat the bigger bad I think that stuff works better In comics than it does In films To use a wrestling term I feel like they never Really know how to book Scarlet Witch Or Captain Marvel In these movies Which is a problem

[00:17:10] You get the scene Like you get in Infinity War Where they're like Oh well why was she just up there Over there the whole time Like that stuff happens I got Listen I love animal sidekicks But I got real tired Of Goosh's stick really quick man Like we get it It has an octopus in him I didn't like it For me It's a two hour film That feels longer than Endgame And Endgame is a full hour longer With that said Before you two start doing the thing Well Ryan doesn't like women I like the Marvels A lot more than most

[00:17:39] I think that movie is very fun I'm excited to rewatch I enjoyed it immensely I think it was a victim of circumstance And a victim of that people You think it's a better movie Than this movie? I think it's Just one for one Better movie Yeah it was 100% I haven't seen it 100% will be higher I watched that on a plane On a phone screen So I didn't It didn't get my best And I didn't think it deserved it But like from a standpoint Of what it was But maybe I'll give it another shot Yeah And so listen

[00:18:08] You can say whatever you want about me I genuinely This is hand on the bible I almost bought A Captain Marvel waffle maker In 2019 I really enjoyed this movie At the time If I'm being honest And I'm here to be honest Yeah you are I don't think I think it's I think it's a boring Disjointed film I have it 19th Out of however many We've watched overall 19th Okay 19th out of 21 Wow That's bad No no It's more than that No

[00:18:37] We've watched more than that That's it 21 Well then I don't have it 19th You've watched Maybe you've You're over there Watching ahead You're about to spoil Okay never mind I have 4, 8, 12 I have it 16th out of 21 Okay that's a little bit better Yeah I was like 19 Boy I want to hear The two movies worse now Apparently than Captain Marvel 16th out of 21 Yeah the 5 worse That's not bad though Yeah I have Thor, Hulk, Captain America 1, Iron Man 3 And then Guardians 2

[00:19:05] Which will be last until we get to Eternals Which is the Bramblefest movie Right guy No is it really? To be clear though You have both Ant-Man movies ahead of this? Yeah definitely I gotta be honest man Okay so here's the thing I don't have Captain Marvel all that higher than you do You said 16th I have it 14th Okay cool But I am a lot higher on it in my opinion I really enjoyed this movie I thought that it was a lot of fun

[00:19:35] I thought You know I remember watching this movie originally And being like this is a fun movie This time around I really enjoyed Brie Larson I thought she was absolutely delightful And charming And her and Nick Fury together Was a blast It was most of the movie So I don't know if you heard Pretty much the whole run time I mean like 85% At least I mean listen We're in the 90s

[00:20:04] We are crash landing in a blockbuster We're having some good 90s jams We're having a good time What you said about the character of Captain Marvel As It's a tough one to really Invincible It is a tough one to have in this universe It is Like she She could solve a whole lot of problems She could And so it's like Do you want that character around to know Not necessarily But as a standalone movie

[00:20:33] An origin story so to speak Which is it was a cool way to do The origin story too I feel like You're kind of You are dropped into her current situation And you're learning about her past through that I really enjoyed it I thought it was really fun I enjoyed it more this time Than I remembered in the theater And I remember leaving the theater Being like that was a lot of fun I really liked it I really liked this movie It surprised me Dana So what I found out in this exercise Is that Gilmore Girls fans

[00:21:02] And Marvel fans Are legion And they take themselves Very very seriously We will occasionally get A review A message What have you That I am Like When I When I get When I paint a movie Or I You know When Ryan raves about a movie Specifically And I go hard to paint Against his hot take That's personal to a lot of people Because I'm just a big Big bag Bad dude Who thinks my opinion Is better than everyone else's

[00:21:32] And you know what The cool thing about those messages And reviews are I'm a plant And those are like water So they don't really bother me Too terribly much I'm fascinated to see what happens With the reversal Of roles here Because I would Never say Don't listen to my good friend Ryan Popola But I This movie is so So good And it's not good In spite of the fact That Captain Marvel Is who she is

[00:22:02] It's good I think Because of it If people I have seen people Get mad about Brie Larson I have I've seen people Get angry about Brie Larson And The number one way For me to Kind of dismiss you Over an opinion Of a celebrity Is if you think Somehow Like When I hear people Say negative things About Brie Larson From all that I know And I could be wrong I immediately just Kind of write you off On that stuff Because That's what If she was a man What Everything she would say

[00:22:32] Would be like applauded Right And that's what makes her So incredibly Perfect for this movie Where do we start here The most powerful superhero That we're complaining Is too powerful For the universe Just so happens to be Our first woman lead Of course it is Of course it is It should be And You know We Finally get this story You need someone Who To play this role That is so incredibly hard Why is it hard? Because No one gets madder Than dudes

[00:23:00] When women are more successful Talented And better looking Than they are You need someone In this movie Who is a square jawed Badass That Just Can absolutely Kick butt And take names And realizes The power in her Is better than The power anywhere else That is also feminine And attractive And does all the things That are necessary For a movie star Box to check May I introduce you To Brie Larson I've never seen someone Encapsulate it Like she encapsulates this

[00:23:30] Also This movie The entire point Of this movie Is The reason she's not Realized she's invincible Is because she Has shut off her feelings I don't know If you know this But women Has spent the better part Of Ever Being told That they're too emotional Don't Don't let the stats Fool you That men Let emotions Get the best of them And do terrible things In Infinitely More than women do And when Brie Larson's Character Carol Danvers

[00:23:59] Realizes That her emotions Are a superpower She becomes invincible By leaning into her emotions This is all Amazing And the fact That it's on screen Is Unbelievable And I wanted more of it Now it's also Set in the 90s The soundtrack slaps Blockbuster Video Has entered the chat Amazing Anna Bowden And Ryan Fleck Are independent filmmakers That have made some of My favorite indie movies Over the last 20 years Including but not limited to Sugar

[00:24:28] And Half Nelson And I kind of have a soft spot For it's kind of a funny story Were they the dingus On high people? They were not the dingus On high people Different people all together Doggy Go Home Did they do Doggy Go Home? No they didn't do Doggy Go Home I say all that to say They did not do Doggy Go Home They would never They wouldn't No they wouldn't Stoop to that level And I said what I said I said what I said That's a big budget picture And you know Somebody's turned a corner So I say all that To say this To put your Seven Eight Nine figures

[00:24:57] Hundred million dollars Is nine figures Yes To put your Hold on Hold on Hold on Hold on Okay Give it to me again To put your nine figures Behind a movie Where the female Is gas lit By all male Antagonist And protagonist And for her to realize Her true potential is I'm better than all of y'all Because I know how to control My emotions And they're important To do that Kudos to you Marvel For doing that It's a necessary story It's a great story

[00:25:26] And Brie Larson Absolutely crushes it Samuel L. Jackson Absolutely crushes it The only reason This isn't a top five movie For me The only reason Is because the only thing Bad about this movie Is the corporate Ruination of it Tying into Endgame I The things that Don't work for me In this movie Are The tie into She Like I love her And Samuel L. Jackson Together I do I don't need The Coulson Fury Shield Origin story It feels like

[00:25:56] It's robbing This incredibly Important Not only can Women do Everything men Can do But they're The way that They harness And control Their emotions Are miles ahead Of men Miles ahead I want that story To get the spotlight And when we decide That Coulson And Fury Get to have Some scenes Where it's just Them doing Zingers And then we tie In directly The Avengers Origin story Into it That does bother me

[00:26:25] If you take that Out of this movie And just let Nick Fury Be a sidekick Who gets banter This might be like Top three for me As it stands It was inescapable Someone in the chat Marin Said specifically She saw Captain Marvel And Endgame In the theaters On the same day Right What a day Which is crazy So I think that's awesome The fact that They used this

[00:26:53] They spent all this money To create this Incredibly important message With a movie star A bonafide movie star Doing a top gun Doing a better Tom Cruise Right She's She's Freaking top gun In this movie And she has the swagger To back it up Like That Like The only Reason that That doesn't Hit as a Home run Top three Is because They decided To make it The thing That explains Infinity War To Endgame And gives us A barrel of

[00:27:23] Wait what's Which is Hey Captain Marvel Is the most powerful Creature in the universe Where is she What's she doing And that is Unfortunate to me And the fact That it feels Very corporate In the last 20 minutes Is unfortunate And it does Take a little bit Of the sheen Off this movie I won't deny That it does As it stands This movie Number eight On my list And I gotta be Honest This Six and seven For me Or Doctor Strange And Spider-Man Homecoming This might No cap on that This could easily

[00:27:52] Be six for me I don't think It cracks the top Five Black Panther Iron Man Infinity War Avengers Winter Soldier I think those Five are all Better This might easily Be six The more I Think about it Right now I have it at Eight I think those Are the best Eight movies I have it Ahead of Guardians of The Galaxy Very rarely Does importance Match quality And in this Movie it does Black Panther Does it better For sure No question This movie Is a marvel So to speak Excellent movie I appreciate Everything you just said

[00:30:20] Wonderful Ditch the headgear We don't need it Ditch it That's all I'm saying We don't need the headgear I'm pretty sure When she Avengers Endgame Opens up with her Basically rescuing Tony and the gang And I'm pretty sure She does that Sans helmet But I could be wrong Because I've not seen it Yeah I don't understand When she needs to wear The helmet It's not an oxygen thing It's not like she needs To breathe Exactly Yeah It's like You know what I'm going to I'm especially concerned About the head trauma Mid credit scene She shows up No helmet Yeah That's a good way

[00:34:17] Bring people to space With no prep Or guidance No worry about How they're gonna like Consume Oxygen Like Fury Monica Peter In Infinity War Like Parker That is They just All go to space And I guess It's the parts of space Where you can just breathe freely You know those parts Yeah You know It's like the part of the Quantum realm Where Certain pockets You get really old But other pockets Right That's right Yeah

[00:34:46] It's classic quantum realm Pocket situation Those are all Those are all Oh my other Wait what Is misogyny What What's going on With that Man Am I right Yeah I have two One Is there any less Surprising Heel turn Or bad guy Than Jude Law Like First minute Jude Law's on screen I'm like I don't think he's good I don't

[00:35:45] Nah I had forgotten About the cat thing No it's the cat That's my least favorite Part of this movie You guys are raving About all that stuff And I'm just like I don't need to In a Captain Marvel Standalone movie I do not need The backstory Of how Nick Fury Got his eye I don't believe I ever needed To know No I don't disagree With that I like when They were together All I'm saying is There is a car crash And there's shrapnel And my thought was Oh There it is There it is Nah man Cat scratch The next scene He's just got it Stitched up Eyes wide

[00:36:14] Clear eyes Full hearts Can't lose Can't lose Yeah I think it did a bit On purpose Yeah and then it turns out I was shocked I was like oh That's an interesting thing I was shocked You were asking Dana This daughter is traumatized For life This poor girl Thinks she is For all she knows There's no aliens First of all Then She's spending An evening With her mom Out in the orchard Turns out That was an alien

[00:36:44] Holding her mom At gunpoint When's she gonna Sleep again It's not soon Can you imagine The person you're Supposed to trust most Your parent Actually an alien And you don't know If they're real or not That is years That's years Of therapy Coming her way And they just Throw it out there Like it's just a threat And pretty crazy The stakes Couldn't be higher In that moment For that little girl And she now Is never sure If her mom is real Yeah So there's that There's that

[00:37:13] We did it Talos Played by The inimitable Ben Mendelsohn Early in this movie When he has Captain Marvel Held captive Is interrogating her And then she Breaks free And then Later in this movie When they're working Together And they're in her house And he's explaining His story He's wearing a sport coat It's not the thing He's wearing On his spaceship He's come to earth And I don't I'm sure some Marvel nerd's gonna Reach out and explain it to me But the whole time I was distracted

[00:37:42] Because he's wearing A blazer Like an actual Just black Not Not a leather Business And he said Oh While you were doing Your synopsis I went back To the scene Where she's being Interrogated To make sure He wasn't also Wearing the sport coat Because I'm like Maybe they just have Blazers where he's from Maybe the blazers Are a big part of his No Portland Taylor's decided I'm a men's warehouse guy I don't know what happened I don't like the way he looks

[00:38:12] He saw that commercial And he was like Oh Yeah For sure Okay I know where I'm going today Lastly Olive Garden Actor Lee Pace Has to feel like There is a prank Being played on him He shows up in Two Marvel movies Where he is supposed to be The all powerful Overlord of a villain And in both He gets no screen time And gets his Tail kicked In both of these movies

[00:38:42] In this movie And in Guardians of the Galaxy Is it two Or one Where he Two Like In both of these movies Could anyone be less powerful Than this guy That's supposed to be A big bad He's barely in these movies Like why Does he keep He's a great actor What is going on Where he shows up Just to be like Oh They're stronger than I am Let's get out of here Like it's just terrible Like I don't know why He's While they're doing it Like it was a weird tie Into me That's all I got

[00:39:12] Let's get to What the Marvel What a Marvel What the Marvel What the Marvel Is where we Talk about stuff Go ahead Right guy What are you marveling at Secret Invasion On Disney Plus Which I don't know If I'd call it A quasi sequel To this movie But it relates To this movie A lot It definitely draws Inspo I don't even know What that is Oh it's bad That's my What a Marvel Is how bad it was And I suggest No one watch it So Bran you're doing great I'm not seeing it I mean the Marvels Is kind of a continuation

[00:39:41] Of this story The Marvels is a direct I mean I don't want to say A direct sequel to this But obviously it's the sequel To Captain Marvel The Marvels You need to watch You can watch Miss Marvel On Disney Plus Secret Invasion Has a lot to do with The Are they the Skrulls They're the Skrulls Right Skrulls But it's It's bad I couldn't even I watched five of the six I couldn't watch the finale They I don't want to give away Spoilers But they I hope they strike it From the canon Because they do something That really Really bothers

[00:40:10] I think justifiably Marvel nerds About a really hard Hitting scene From Endgame next week Maybe I'll talk about it Next week But it's Really Really Really bad And I suggest No one watch it What if We're doing this on air Because we can What if We take all of our Marvel Monday episodes And we come up with a fun name The Marvel Boys Or something like that And we start to release them On a separate feed And we watch the TV shows And we do We put those on there too We could Seems like free content Yeah Seems like free content

[00:40:40] Well some of it It doesn't seem like I want to watch these shows Yeah I mean I was I was literally thinking I'll give you two permission To do it without me Yeah I mean I'm not I'm not against it I would say We've talked about this A little I think Just Rev split it Down the middle Yeah I'm down Let's pot a parlay WandaVision WandaVision Cap and Winter Soldier And most of Loki I really like I would say Everything else though Is trash Yeah I would say Like all of the other shows Are utter garbage Wow So

[00:41:10] I've not seen She-Hulk Or Secret Invasion Or Moon Knight I watch Did you see You really dug Moon Knight Oh see I did I hated myself I was like Why am I watching this show Just Whoa God What if Moon Knight Shows up in Doomsday No I don't care about that I thought as a standalone It was crazy And weird And dark And a ton of fun And I love Oscar Isaac But I did not like that show at all The only Marvel show I watched Was Hawkeye Because of Christmas I didn't watch Hawkeye Oh Hawkeye's great too I didn't watch Winter Soldier Hawkeye's great too

[00:41:39] I didn't watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier You know what I guess I like I don't know how many There's been Well now there's all the ones I forget about And I haven't watched The newest one There's right Yeah There's plenty of content there Marvel if you're listening If you want me to watch your shows Put them at Christmas time And I'll watch it Hawkeye slaps Yeah great I have two One I literally just had the realization As we were talking today Doomsday Packs less of a punch

[00:42:08] Since we know that Endgame isn't actually the end You know it's like Dooms Yes It's like How doomsful could it really be It's Doctor Doom But I don't disagree with your point I will say that The both Russo brothers And Robert Downey Jr. In press over the last two months Have gone out of their way To tell you they're not trying to add To or to top that movie They are clearing the deck And they're starting over And they're trying to create Another Avengers

[00:42:38] World and case and story Not world But case and story That They hope can win you back Who are the Avengers now? Well that's the thing It's also I mean it's really unclear It's Thor Steve Rogers are both back And then Probably Shuri as Black Panther Would be my guess But we don't know Yeah Some of the Thunderbolts Hawkeye The Thunderbolts They're like They're like The B-Team Avengers Is the whole Like you know But I mean

[00:43:07] They would get pulled into it You know The marketing gives away One of those four trailers They made Like obviously James Marsden is back As Cyclops There's a lot of folks From the X-Men universe That are supposedly coming back It's like I don't know how this movie We can talk about this When we get much closer to December Like I don't know how this movie Comes in at under three hours Like they're trying to do so much Especially when you really have to You can't let it be spoiled You have to introduce the X-Men On top of Which is Dance point Setting up Secret wars And like I Which is crazy

[00:43:36] Because there's no world Where I'm seeing an opening day Of Doom 3 Is coming out too Like this is such a backseat A week before Christmas It's crazy Yeah They should really move Doom's Day And this movie And Doom's Day Doesn't get any IMAX screens Doom gets them all I don't think at this point They're gonna move it up a week But they really should It's stupid Also we could see it together If they moved it up a week Because you'd be a crazy star That's right But you just think about They're going Marvel's the bigger property But Dune is a very specific

[00:44:05] Event for IMAX If you would just move Your thing up a week And just say We understand we're bigger But Dune is an IMAX proposition Is going to win the day In that one specific area Then they could get A week of IMAX run And you get an extra week Before I don't get it People aren't going to The theater on Christmas Eve And Christmas Day Maybe there's not What has the IMAX before I don't know But Dune is getting They're not You will not be able to see On it's original run You will not be able to see Doom's Day in the IMAX

[00:44:34] Which is crazy That's nuts Leave the money on the table And then my other one I'm sorry everybody This is I have homework for you Rewatch The scene where they are Looking into her brain Okay You know what I'm talking about Going back and forth And looking at the things Sure Then go and listen to The Christian singer Carmen's Champion Oh my gosh It is there And listen to the demons Talk When Jesus starts to get up

[00:45:04] After being knocked out You know what I'm talking about I know exactly What you're talking about And the demons are like Wait a second God You're counting That's happening In this movie And I can't help but wonder Did they get inspiration From Carmen Because we all know you did Dano Yeah so we talked about How this movie came out in March And I What a marvel is The fact that they decided To release this movie And the biggest event Marvel movie One could argue The biggest marvel movie ever It is It's not even arguable

[00:45:33] You're right Both in the box office And just as far as A culmination of the story Yeah Because as of right now Half are gone Yeah That's where we're at In April In March They released Captain Marvel In April First of all It's offensive to this movie If you want it to be Standalone at all I mean with Black Panther Infinity War came out Like right around May 1st Black Panther was Yeah and a three month run Yes Black Panther Was just right around Valentine's Day So you had all February, March, March, April Like this movie

[00:46:02] I remember leaving the movie With Panda Rest in Peace Obviously We saw it Thursday night And because we had decided We're kind of over Marvel movies But we're going to make it The end game On Thursday nights We would go on Thursday nights Through end game And then after that Who cares And so we went And I remember thinking You know that was Really really good Really entertaining And really important I'm just experiencing A little bit of Marvel fatigue And now Knowing what I know On this end of that

[00:46:30] There's a good reason Why I was experiencing Marvel fatigue Because the end game hype Started before this movie Came out Like this movie The fact that it made A billion dollars Is super impressive Because End game press Had already started End game press Was started Before this movie Released And so Yeah I was already We were already hearing About end game And so when I saw This in the theater It was like Man this is really good I kind of am just

[00:47:00] Waiting for end game To get here And be done That's kind of How I was feeling By that point And so I would love to hear I mean obviously We're not going to get Kevin Feige Kevin's on the line Right now We're not going to get Kevin Feige But what were they thinking Why not Why not move this up A month or two Or something Well or you could just Not do Ant-Man And the Wasp Drop this movie then And then you have it And then you have it Pretty perfect You get it To be fair I guess the flip side

[00:47:30] Is they had They knew they were Going to have Two back to back Billion dollar Money makers In a six week period Right Yeah I mean Yeah I mean I guess That's what they would Honestly that's probably The answer I don't know if they knew That Captain Marvel Was a billion I think they thought If it doesn't work End game's coming Also the IMAX schedule Amen The IMAX schedule is Hunger Games Sunrise On the Reaping Gets the screens On November 20th Oh They don't need Hunger Games Doesn't need that

[00:47:59] For a month Dune gets it On December 18th Yeah Why are you not But they probably Negotiated it And Marvel then assumed They would pick it up From there And Dune is the one That realized How often is the Bigger property Not playing with You know With house money Dune's playing With house They know that IMAX is the I genuinely I think they should Move Doomsday up To Thanksgiving weekend Like But then you don't Get IMAX either Because Hunger Games Gets it That's when Hunger Games Comes out
