[00:00:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Hi, I'm Brian and I love Lifetime Christmas movies. Hi, I'm Patrick Serrano and I am a Lifetime movie expert. I'm Dan and I despise Lifetime Christmas movies and this is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast. Thanks, I got it from here. Deck The Hallmark gets his podcast and friends host his podcast. We hope you like this jolly podcast. I honestly don't really know what happened. I tried and then you were on a delay.
[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I think, yes I am on a delay. But I did, you know, like sometimes you like, you know, here I come and then it didn't happen. We've all been there. Yeah, so I said I was Brian last week, I believe. I don't know what week it is. Guys, it's a long season. It's a long season. Intros are hard. The power went out. It's been one big day. I stand by it. September 27th has been one big day. I say what you will. It's a long season. Producer Aaron. I was driving through a different part of my apartment complex.
[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I had to park on the other side of the parking lot. There is still a car that has not been moved since the hurricane. Oh my goodness. Because there's like still debris. And I drove by it and had like a PTSD moment and was like, not again.
[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_03]: We were watching the unwrapping Christmas movies because somebody had to. And in the Cindy Busby one, when the power comes back on, I had this very weird moment in my soul where I was like both happy for them but also like just like taken aback.
[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I was just like, yeah. Don't need this. Don't need this reminder.
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah. It's just one big day. But whenever we watch those movies, that's, you know, it happened.
[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_01]: You guys, there's a movie that I just saw like the other day and it's about the power going out during a snowstorm.
[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And they're in a like camp, you know, like a, what's that called? A cabin.
[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_03]: A cabin. Like a camp, yes.
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. And they go like crazy because they're like, hypothermia happens when you sleep.
[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So we can't sleep. We cannot sleep. And they just start losing their minds.
[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And like the whole movie, they're like, we're so cold.
[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_01]: We can't sleep. He said.
[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_01]: No sleep allowed. They start taking like ADHD medicine to like stay awake.
[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And like it is the most, it's very boring, surprisingly, because it's just cold.
[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_01]: How is that boring?
[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I know.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: That sounds like a Tubi movie.
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Or yeah, like a cheap horror movie.
[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, it's called like snow falling.
[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Snow falling.
[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Definitely called snow falling.
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And Jonathan Bennett, Jonathan Bennett's in it.
[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_01]: What?
[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_01]: For like a hot second.
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You guys have to review this for the show because it was.
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I need to know what it is.
[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Sounds very.
[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's called snow falling.
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Is it older?
[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm assuming.
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It's from last year.
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Last year.
[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_01]: It came across my streaming platform somewhere.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I'll give this a shot.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Snow falling.
[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I was like, this is really strange.
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Snow falls.
[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_03]: So very close.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It's only, it's only like an hour in like some change.
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It's rated R.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a short.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It's got terrible user reviews.
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Snow strands five friends in a remote cabin with no power and little food.
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Disorientation slowly claims their sanity as each of them succumbs to fear that the snow itself may be contaminated or somehow evil.
[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like the happening, but snow.
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: An hour 19.
[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_03]: It's an hour 19 with credits.
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we've got to watch this.
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And it is, it is a, it's a long hour.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a long hour.
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Man, I'm here for it.
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_02]: How quickly does it get to the, yeah, on, uh, to the snow coming down?
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I love that Jonathan Bennett is like F on the call sheet in this movie.
[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Why is he there?
[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_02]: He's clearly not one of the friends, right?
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_01]: He's, he's one of the friends, which was my, which is my biggest thing.
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_01]: He can't make it.
[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_01]: He has to work.
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's on a little call.
[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Did he like, this had to be a favor or something.
[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_02]: He had to be a friend.
[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_02]: There's only like eight people in the movie.
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_02]: That's crazy.
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Anna Grace Barlow.
[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_02]: One of the Barlow girls.
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_02]: She was one of the Barlow girls.
[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Is she really one of the Barlow girls?
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait a minute.
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_05]: No, she is one of the Barlow girls.
[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Her sister, Abigail, wrote the soundtrack for Moana 2.
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_02]: What?
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: The fact that Lin-Manuel Moran.
[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_02]: One of the Barlow girls wrote the soundtrack to Moana 2.
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_02]: You want to talk about a step back?
[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear wrote the soundtrack to Moana 2.
[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm very excited.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, can't wait.
[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be as good as the Lin-Manuel one.
[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_01]: A double feature.
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's do a double feature.
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Snowfall and Moana 2.
[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_01]: This and Moana 2.
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a classic double feature.
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Patrick, this is a wild day because it's Saturday today.
[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Saturday?
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And we are somehow doing this.
[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And you are on a little program called Who What When Today, a radio program.
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_03]: It's my day.
[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: For the Thanksgiving episode.
[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_03]: At the same time.
[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_03]: So the three of us are talking about Christmas at Plum Hill Manor and talking about Thanksgiving
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: for South Carolina Public Radio, Who What When, which you can get wherever you listen
[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_03]: to podcasts.
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a double Patrick day.
[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a double Patrick day.
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And we totally double Patrick dropped.
[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_03]: We did that on purpose.
[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Those are some of my favorite days when I get a double dose of Patrick.
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Very excited.
[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Of course.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Me too.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I look in the mirror and I'm like, two days, two bees.
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01]: What?
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_01]: It is.
[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It is.
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And I know I'm a little bit biased, but your episode of Who What When is maybe my favorite.
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_03]: It's you and it's Annie Towns talking about Turkey, the food or Turkey, the country.
[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a great episode.
[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It's one of my favorite things we've ever done on the show.
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So it is a lot of Turkey, the country or Turkey, the Turkey.
[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_01]: It is.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_01]: It's hard.
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It's hard to determine.
[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Stop out there.
[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love it.
[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I love it so much for us.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're not the Christian group.
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_02]: The Barlow Girls.
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_02]: No.
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That I don't care.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Different, different.
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I think, yeah, you were very, very shocked.
[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I was very shocked.
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It actually does me some good because I know the Christian group, the Barlow Girls, and
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_03]: All due respect to that group.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_03]: But you can see why I was so shocked.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_03]: To the first Moana.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I can see that.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_05]: No, I just, Anna Grace Barlow, I was like, oh no, like, they're Barlow sisters.
[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm excited about Moana 2, but Aaron, let's talk briefly because we've got the time.
[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: We're not up against it.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you more excited or nervous for Moana 2?
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I'm more nervous for Moana 2 than I am excited.
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm excited for the music.
[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Soundtrack does come out yesterday.
[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to listen to the soundtrack before I see the movie.
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_02]: When does it come out?
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_02]: The movie.
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it comes out next week.
[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I thought for some reason it was closer to Christmas.
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's next week.
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Moana 2, Gladiator 2, Wicked.
[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_03]: People are calling it the four quadrant box office triumvirate Holy Trinity.
[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_02]: We need to work on the name of it, but I like it.
[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what they're calling it.
[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_03]: People are calling it the Holy Trinity of the box office.
[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_03]: They're like, this is going to hit all four quadrants.
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what they're calling it.
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Plot-wise, I am nervous.
[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So the first one was done at the main Disney animated studios, and Lin-Manuel did the soundtrack.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And the second one, the animators in California didn't even know it was happening.
[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_03]: They do it up in the Pacific Northwestern Canada.
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_03]: They keep it a secret, and they're like, surprise, coming out this year, and it's not Lin-Manuel.
[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just very worried.
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm very worried.
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I wonder why Lin-Manuel didn't do it.
[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He was working on Mufasa with Barry Jenkins.
[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_05]: He's busy.
[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_02]: He's been adopted before.
[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_03]: He does everything.
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, he's getting older.
[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe he can only handle like five projects at one time.
[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I just need...
[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But Moana is, from what I understand, the number one stream thing on Disney Plus since Disney Plus' launch, which is crazy to me to think about.
[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_03]: But second of all, it seems like they're trying to capitalize on that and make a quick...
[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It feels like a sequel to Jaws.
[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, they just put it out real quick, didn't need the originals, and I'm just worried because
[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I love Moana.
[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Is it screened yet?
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't see any reviews of it yet.
[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_05]: The premiere is today.
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_03]: So we'll know something tomorrow because you'll get the out of screener reactions which you
[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_05]: don't trust.
[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_05]: The premiere is today in Hawaii?
[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_03]: So that's like eight hours behind.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Tomorrow.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I just know they're in Hawaii and they were talking about the premiere today.
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_05]: So we'll find out.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Brad, if you could calculate that time difference for us.
[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Get back to us.
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll work on it.
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll hear some reviews.
[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm excited but nervous.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a Wednesday release?
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that what's happening?
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Wednesday Thanksgiving?
[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_03]: It's probably a Wednesday release.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_03]: They're getting out of the way of Gladiator 2 and Wicked.
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_03]: What do you think, Patrick?
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you care about Moana at all?
[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_01]: No.
[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I've seen it and I don't remember it very well.
[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I think there might be a bird that talks.
[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_01]: There is a bird.
[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_03]: There is a bird.
[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, Maui can become a bird.
[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_02]: No.
[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a bird.
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_02]: There's Heihei.
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Heihei doesn't talk.
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Heihei doesn't talk.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Heihei is funny.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, guys.
[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah.
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: That bird's funny.
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_01]: That bird's funny.
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a funny bird.
[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm still in Frozen.
[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm still in Frozen over here.
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_01]: No.
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Hit me Moana over Frozen all day long.
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, are you familiar with The Wicked?
[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Wicked, you know, I saw it like maybe a couple years ago and hated it.
[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I hated it.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Because it was hyped my whole life.
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm going and I'm like, guys, this is it.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen it.
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_01]: The Wizard of Oz or anything.
[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I know nothing about Wicked aside from the basic premise of Wicked.
[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And I am trying to become interested in a two hour and 40 minute part one.
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm finding myself struggling to get hype.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I was just talking about my brother because he was like, I'm thinking about seeing Gladiator.
[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I was going to also see this is my brother talking.
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I was also going to see Wicked right after that.
[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a full time job.
[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a full time job.
[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_03]: That with trailer.
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_03]: 50 minutes of trailers.
[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_03]: That is five hours and 50 minutes.
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: You are six hours at the movie theater.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a long day.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_03]: That's not a double feature.
[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a triple feature.
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Triple feature.
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And I just.
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like I need to see it.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Cultural zeitgeist and whatnot.
[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I just don't care.
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm trying.
[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_03]: But Gladiator 2 looks terrible.
[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And am I going tonight?
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Probably.
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Is Wicked a movie we should see in the theater?
[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Or can I wait until that's streaming?
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It's in 3D.
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's made to be this massive theatrical thing.
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And with trailers, it's over three hours.
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not seeing it in 3D.
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah.
[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll see it in theaters.
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_03]: You're going to see Wicked?
[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_03]: In theaters?
[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it'll be good.
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_01]: It'll be good to see.
[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so far down the list for me.
[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_01]: But if you aren't like a 10-year-old girl and like when Wicked came out, you're probably
[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_01]: not going to be like the fan, whatever.
[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But also John Chu who directed it, he did In the Heights, which is one of the more underrated
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_03]: movie musical adaptations of the last 20 years.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I do like In the Heights.
[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It's amazing.
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so good.
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I did like that one as well.
[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I feel like I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_03]: But this movie is doing absolutely nothing for me.
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_05]: What if on that day that we were going to record but we're no longer recording, I go
[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_05]: and do Wicked and Gladiator and make it my full-time job?
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I think you can do it.
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Have fun out there.
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm...
[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_02]: For real?
[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited.
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_02]: The trailer worked for me.
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_02]: It was like, yeah!
[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_02]: I was excited.
[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_03]: The trailer worked for me the first time.
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_03]: The 38th time.
[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I've seen it a million times at this point.
[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I felt like it was so...
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_03]: It worked for me on a base trailer level, but not on like a, this makes me interested
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_03]: in seeing the movie.
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, it was like, oh, if you like this, this will work for you.
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Well...
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Should we talk about Plum Hill Manor?
[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I will just say, I know it's down on your list, but it's about to be Wicked, Gladiator,
[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Red One, Moana, and that's about it in our local theater.
[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, those three, even Red One, which is getting terrible reviews, I would have above Wicked
[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_03]: on my list.
[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I just...
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't care.
[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_03]: But I think you'll get...
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_02]: What I'm saying is I think you'll get to it.
[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll probably get to it based upon the fact of process of elimination.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, hi.
[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about the Plum Hill Manor, shall we?
[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to Movie Thanksgiving Movie Talk with the boys in Arizona.
[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you got to talk about the Thanksgiving movies, but we got to talk about the Christmas
[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_01]: movies because, you know, I don't...
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Unlike you guys, I don't leave my house during the Christmas movie season.
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was going to ask you, before we started recording, you were talking about how you're
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_02]: so busy, you're working every single day, but you're also updating LifetimeMovecourt.com
[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_02]: every single day.
[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_02]: You're reviewing not just Lifetime movies during the holiday season, but the Hallmarks
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_02]: and the Netflixes and all of it.
[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, all of it.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I put it in the work.
[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And Dan and I have the honor and the privilege of being able to watch these movies during the
[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_02]: day for our job, but you have to...
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_02]: What are you doing?
[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So, my schedule is, you know, I go to work at the Arts Barn is what it's called.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I work like a normal 8 to 4.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Or at Only Theater, I work...
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my stalker's really getting all the good info this time.
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_01]: But at the Only Theater, I usually work in the evenings.
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm not watching...
[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm either watching these, like, super early in the morning, like 8 a.m., or I'm watching
[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_01]: them, like, way late, like 10 p.m.
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So, it's catching me on, like, a mood.
[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm not always, like, in the best spirit of Christmas.
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was going to say.
[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Have you had a moment?
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Have you had the moment yet where you know you should watch one, but you just don't have
[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_02]: it in you, and you just say, I don't want to do it right now?
[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I'll watch, like, you know, a murder show or, like, ER.
[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Something, like, really, like...
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_01]: ER is a good one to, like, decompress for me.
[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_02]: How are you handling Thanksgiving week?
[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_02]: How are you going to handle the ambush there?
[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, because I usually am off, like, with the college schedule.
[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, this would be off.
[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But now I'm, like, double, like, a matinee and an evening performance.
[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't know how it's going to work.
[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'll be watching, like, in the, like, you know, box office, like, little pieces.
[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_02]: You can have my synopsis for some of them.
[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_02]: You just tag me in, and we'll do that.
[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll take your notes.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a fun little thing we can do.
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_03]: We get screeners.
[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_03]: We're getting some screeners now, and we obviously can't review the movie until it comes out.
[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_03]: But I've seen people do out of watching reactions, which we won't do either.
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_03]: But I will say this.
[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_03]: We've got screeners for most of the movies next week, Patrick.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And one of them is going to receive...
[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_03]: One Hallmark Christmas movie that's going to be released next week is going to receive a rave review from me.
[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_03]: So, there's a teaser for people.
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_03]: How about that teaser?
[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'll let you try to figure out which one.
[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_03]: But one of them is really, really good.
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So, there's that.
[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's great.
[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I haven't seen one yet that I've been like, oh, wow.
[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_03]: It's been a down year.
[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But there's one coming out in the next 10 days from today that is definitely a big thumbs up for me.
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And we'll let you finish that review next week.
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_02]: See what I did there?
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And be wiser in the process.
[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And maybe you'll score a touchdown.
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you'll go on a quest.
[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you'll head back to the night.
[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you'll give it a perfect, like, 90s.
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_02]: 90s?
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And you can have it and holiday it.
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_01]: These are a lot of clues.
[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: These are a lot of clues.
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know what's funny?
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of clues in Christmas at Plum Hill Manor.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about it.
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_02]: What is it, 930 already?
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_02]: I got to be honest.
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_02]: We will probably still be done around the 30-minute mark.
[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk Plum Hill Manor.
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Maria Menounos, you know her from the pre-show at the theaters.
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll see her a lot.
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we do.
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Over Thanksgiving.
[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a movie.
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You also know her from the gas station, the screens that are on the gas station.
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Love her there.
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you might see her at your gas station.
[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Everyone has to get gas.
[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the great, you know, leveler.
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Equalizer?
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Pretty sure.
[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure all gas stations have TVs.
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody.
[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_02]: It is true.
[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Death, taxes, and you got to get gas sometimes.
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Once you have an EV, you don't.
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_02]: True.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_02]: She probably has an EV.
[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Probably has an EV.
[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_02]: So you probably won't see her at the gas station.
[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a great leveler.
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Take it away, Patrick.
[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_01]: So we have, of course, Maria Menounos, our favorite person who isn't known to be an actress.
[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_01]: She is playing a businesswoman in this movie.
[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And let me tell you, Dan, if you are picturing Maria Menounos in any scene, just know that
[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_01]: her business attire is popping.
[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it smart?
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it a smart business suit?
[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_01]: She's trendy.
[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_01]: She's got the wide leg suit.
[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Wide leg.
[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_02]: You want to know what?
[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_03]: High-waisted wide leg.
[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_02]: You want to know my biggest takeaway from Maria Menounos, whether she's in her business attire
[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_02]: or is in her, you know, manner attire, is some amazing hair.
[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Maria Menounos' hair is incredible.
[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_02]: In the newbie, she always looks great.
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_02]: The hair is on point.
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_02]: The hair is incredible.
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I wish I had that hair.
[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I started taking hair pills now, guys, because, you know, this is like my hair.
[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_01]: What kind of hair pills do you take?
[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, hold on.
[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it Nutrafol?
[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Because if it's not, you can't talk about it.
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I take the sponsored one.
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And, yeah, it's crazy, you guys.
[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know if it's working, but we'll see.
[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, so are you saying that Maria Menounos is taking Nutrafol?
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_02]: She's got to be.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the only explanation.
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_01]: So thick.
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_01]: She must be taking Nutrafol.
[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_02]: It's so thick, but it also looks so light.
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_02]: It looks like, I don't know how to explain it.
[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's a formula just for women.
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_02]: It's just for women, and it's, they did all this formula.
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like 88% successful.
[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_03]: That's great.
[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It's 100% successful for her.
[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I believe it.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Because not only men are worried about hair loss.
[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, women also struggle with that.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_01]: They do a lot to their hair that makes the hair, you know, come out.
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Like blow drying it.
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Like blow drying it.
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And brushing it.
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Brushing it.
[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Does blow drying your hair make your hair come out?
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, is there any science problem?
[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Is there putting heat on something?
[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I imagine the heat makes the hair look shocked over there.
[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I'm trying to find a better way to describe it than Patrick is describing it.
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_05]: When I blow dry my hair, some hair does come out.
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_05]: But it's like the hair that falls out during the day anyway.
[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just residual.
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_02]: But a straightener does damage it.
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Overusing the straightener can damage the hair.
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_02]: You said it.
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Tia Horn says heat.
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry for blasting your last name out there.
[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Tia.
[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Heat really damages your hair.
[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_02]: It does.
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_01]: You guys, I don't know if you know this about me, but I lived in a sorority house in college.
[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So I saw that hair damage and I said, one day.
[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_04]: How have we not?
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_03]: One day.
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You didn't live in a sorority house in college.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a classic.
[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely did.
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Kappa Gamma Delta.
[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Kappa Gamma Delta?
[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Shout out.
[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_01]: And I was the Kappa Gamma Delta sweetheart, okay?
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_01]: They pick one boy every year and I was the one for one of the years.
[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you serious?
[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_03]: What college is this?
[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Frostburg State.
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Frostburg State.
[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, this is a Christmas movie.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_03]: You're describing a Christmas movie.
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_03]: They do a sorority at Frostburg State.
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Picks one dude.
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Sweetheart of the year.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_03]: To be a sweetheart of the year or whatever it is.
[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_03]: You're right.
[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_03]: This is like a, you're describing a Christmas movie.
[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, I don't know if we really did Christmas.
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, and Hallmark, this would be a great, like, same-sex couple Christmas movie where,
[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Hallmark, are you listening since you didn't have any lead couples?
[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, this sorority helps this guy and the guy that he's into get together.
[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's at Frostburg State.
[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Come on.
[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a Christmas movie.
[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Perfect.
[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_02]: There was, in talking with Patrick, there was some snow at this time, but a different
[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_02]: type of snow.
[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm talking about, Patrick?
[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm talking about?
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Can we delay talking about this movie anymore?
[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Maria Menounos is a businesswoman who has great hair.
[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_01]: We got sidetracked by the hair, you guys.
[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we did.
[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_01]: She's the jam of her company.
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's applauding her everywhere she goes.
[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But she doesn't even have a desktop computer in her office.
[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_01]: She has a laptop.
[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Lame.
[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_01]: She must be on the go all the time.
[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Her business endeavors are something to do with real estate, I think.
[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not clear.
[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't really matter.
[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what she does, but she's good at it.
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_01]: She's good.
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_01]: So good.
[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_01]: She feels lonely at the holidays.
[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_01]: She's getting Christmas cards from all her friends, and she's like, oh, they're all having
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_01]: little cute Christmas cards, and I'm just a successful business.
[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_03]: What just happened?
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: That is, we're going to play one.
[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_03]: No, we're up against it.
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to play it once more, Patrick.
[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Patrick, this is a line of dialogue that is not supposed to be a song.
[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you ready?
[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not supposed to be a song.
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Hit it.
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm lonely.
[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: That is a woman telling her husband that they're estranged, that she is lonely.
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: She is not singing there.
[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_01]: That is so moving.
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_01]: It is so moving.
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So moving that I feel that amount.
[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I've seen Patrick laugh.
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad you don't love it.
[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm hard to break.
[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So she's very lonely.
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And just play it one more time.
[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm lonely.
[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's good.
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_01]: That's good.
[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_01]: That's good.
[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_01]: A butler kind of materializes out of nowhere for Maria Menounos.
[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And he says, hey, your long lost aunt has given you this medicine.
[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_01]: You have a surprise inheritance.
[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And you have to move in immediately.
[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_01]: You have to stay there for seven days.
[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Here's a bottle of wine from the vineyard that's there.
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Drink it, think it over, and decide what you want to do.
[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Which she does.
[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_01]: She gets another great outfit.
[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Pours some wine.
[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Inspects the wine bottle.
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And inside the wine bottle is a letter.
[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, message in a bottle.
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Literally.
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Message in a bottle.
[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And this is our first mystery.
[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_01]: It says something that I didn't write down.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's like a riddle.
[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Come across the pond.
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_02]: You'll have a good time.
[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't delay or you'll be mine.
[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Something like that.
[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't delay or you'll be mine.
[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Are they going to kill her?
[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And she drinks the wine.
[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I love a good red.
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm in.
[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And she goes abroad all of a sudden.
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It's nakedwines.com.
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's check the Hallmark.
[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_02]: She was drinking a box from Naked Wine.
[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, why wouldn't you?
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Why wouldn't you?
[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's naked.
[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Six bottles of wine for $39 free shipping.
[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you hear about this one?
[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you hear about this one?
[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not making that up.
[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_03]: We're not trying to do an ad here.
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I ordered it myself.
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Didn't know that was the promo when we did the copy.
[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_03]: $100 off.
[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Six bottles of wine for $39 with free shipping.
[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_03]: There was no catch.
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Nakedwines.com.
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Slash check the Hallmark.
[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_01]: There was no catch.
[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Scottish broke, right?
[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Bray, I'm like, this was not a British accent.
[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_02]: No, he's Scottish.
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a she.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_02]: She's Scottish.
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Or maybe they're not binary.
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_02]: They are Scottish.
[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I picked up on Scottish.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm like, where are we?
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought we were going to London, but all of a sudden we're in Scotland and everybody's talking with the little dog in Lady and the Tramp, that little black dog.
[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, you know, showing Mariam Linus around the house and whatever.
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_01]: The house is, of course, like dilapidated and whatever.
[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wait, does that even happen?
[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I made that up.
[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_01]: We go to an English pub first.
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a handsome stranger.
[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, there we go.
[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_01]: The handsome stranger takes her to the house.
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And the handsome stranger lives at the house.
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Lives on the house on top of it, right on top of that roof.
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_01]: He lives like in he like makes cider in the back.
[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Plum cider.
[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Plum hill.
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_01]: They have they make plum.
[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Big into the cider.
[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's big into just being he's mean.
[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like just mean for no reason.
[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_02]: He hates Maria Menudo.
[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_01]: He tells her her hair sucks.
[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_02]: He says, I hope that you don't have an EV.
[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So you have to go to the gas station.
[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Hear your own voice.
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Great leveler.
[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_01]: He gives her a flat iron for Christmas.
[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you wouldn't.
[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It's just flat that main out.
[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it really is like if you think about flat ironing just just for one second, like flat ironing trend was so weird.
[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Like everyone flat iron there.
[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I flat iron my hair.
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I had I had like a lot more hair.
[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Picks or didn't happen.
[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_01]: But I really did.
[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And I flat iron my hair.
[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And like I was like, oh, this looks so good.
[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, why were we doing that in like the 2000s?
[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Were you doing that in the early 2000s?
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I have flat ironed my hair twice.
[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know what a flat iron was.
[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_02]: But it was for kicks and giggles.
[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't for like this is really going to be my style.
[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It was a Christmas con Kansas City.
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I did it there.
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I have big hair.
[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And then you flatten it down.
[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's fun.
[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It's fun.
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And like it's really flat.
[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Like no volume.
[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the key.
[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Just really flat.
[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Flat hair.
[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Maria Menounos, all volume.
[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_02]: No flats.
[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Volume for days.
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_01]: So Maria Menounos takes a bath.
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_01]: She's in the bath.
[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_01]: She does.
[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_02]: That was a weird.
[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I just, I realized that.
[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I was first of all like, oh, she takes a bath.
[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a part of this movie.
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Interested.
[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And then your reaction was.
[00:26:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I was very excited.
[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I know, but I was excited because.
[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_03]: It was borderline Leah Thompson excited.
[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_03]: No.
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she does.
[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_03]: She takes that bath.
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I'm saying?
[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a part of it.
[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a part of the thing.
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a part of it.
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_02]: She like, I don't know why she had the idea.
[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember why she had the idea to put the paper in the water.
[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember why?
[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Why'd she do it?
[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I think she did it because she was in a bath.
[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a secret mess.
[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_02]: There's a secret message.
[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_02]: And she realizes that if she puts this paper in the water, it'll reveal itself.
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_01]: So more clues, more clues happen.
[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care about the clues, but the guy from the bar, his name's Alfie.
[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_01]: He suddenly cares because he believes the manor should be like left to the town and someone who respects the history.
[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to start helping her figure out these clues because they might lead to like a deed or something like that.
[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Right?
[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I think what's going on here, Dan, and then we'll take a break.
[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_02]: What's going on here is we have a manor that is – the manor's nothing spectacular.
[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay?
[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_02]: And so he wants to keep it, but there's no real reason to keep it.
[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And there are people that are interested in selling it or in buying it.
[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, he – they are – these clues make it seem like it's going to lead to something that will make keeping this health worthwhile.
[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Keeping the health worthwhile.
[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_03]: That's correct.
[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's take a quick break.
[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll come back and we'll see what that thing is.
[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm on pins and needles over here.
[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_03]: You're right.
[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Take the hallmark.
[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Take the hallmark.
[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_02]: What is going to make this house worthwhile?
[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It is your boy, Ronnie Rowe.
[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's find out.
[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's find out.
[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_01]: So we have a couple things happen.
[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, they get locked in a room together and, like, are like, oh, no, we're locked in the room.
[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Are we falling in love?
[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, they decorate for Christmas and they're like, are we falling in love?
[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_01]: They're really not.
[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_01]: They're really not falling in love.
[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Alfie opens up about – he worked at a job in London and he knows what it's like to be Maria Menounos and have great hair and be a businesswoman.
[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So – but he left that life behind.
[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay?
[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_01]: He left that life behind.
[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_01]: He's happy to leave the grind.
[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_01]: He wants to just make a cider, live in the small town, and he's like, Maria Menounos, you should do the same thing and just stay here.
[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_02]: But she – you know, she's always business, business, business.
[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_02]: She tastes the wine and she's like, this is amazing.
[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Everyone should know about this wine.
[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And her boss is calling.
[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I tracked your phone and I know you're doing a secret project abroad and getting that real estate.
[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I'm not.
[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just here because of a lawyer thing and whatever.
[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, you can't trick me.
[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_01]: So he like starts working on the side to get like bidders and like people like for whatever the secret project is, he's like ready to do the business.
[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_02]: He – they – everybody always sees business opportunities all the time everywhere.
[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And there's also a hot co-worker who keeps calling her, but nothing comes of that.
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I was really disappointed.
[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_01]: The hot – I think the hot co-worker's name is Daniel.
[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, it had to be, right?
[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And like – never mind.
[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going there.
[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Can we – are we at the point where they go to the church?
[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Because it's really the only scene that matters in this movie.
[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, boy.
[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_01]: They go – you can see it on Lifetime Uncourt Instagram.
[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, did you post it?
[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's so good.
[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_02]: So good.
[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_02]: So they go to church and one of the handbell people called out sick.
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he did post this on the Instagram.
[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_02]: So Maria Manu – they say, Maria Manu notes, you got to come and play the handbell.
[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't worry.
[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_02]: It's only one note.
[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And so –
[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, and don't forget the chorus member who called out for being sick had a rash.
[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, boy.
[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying, like, you know, put some, you know, hydrochlorisone on that and power through.
[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Rub some dirt on that rash.
[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Rub some dirt on that rash.
[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It can't hurt.
[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_02]: It can't hurt it.
[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I should be mad at that yet.
[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_02]: So –
[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.
[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.
[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_02]: So she is waiting, and her face while she's waiting is so funny to me.
[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_02]: It is just like – it's so funny this entire scene.
[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_02]: And then it gets to her point where she has to ring the bell, and she launches it.
[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Flings the bell.
[00:31:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Flings the bell.
[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Slow motion.
[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Bang.
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Bang.
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_02]: So great.
[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Bang.
[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And then everybody stands up and cheers.
[00:31:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you ever have to play the handbells?
[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_02]: No, I never got to play the handbells.
[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_02]: I had to play them in church.
[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_02]: You had the gloves?
[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I had the gloves.
[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_02]: You probably really liked the gloves, didn't she, a little weirdo?
[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I wish I liked the gloves.
[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You had a thing for gloves.
[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I had a super big thing for gloves.
[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_03]: She caught me.
[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_02]: If she was wearing gloves in this movie, you would have gotten nuts.
[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I had to watch the whole thing.
[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_02]: She was using these bells gloveless, first of all.
[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_02]: What are you doing?
[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_02]: And that might be why she dropped it.
[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_01]: They're slippery.
[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, and the handles are rubber.
[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know that.
[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think they were using regulation handbells, first of all.
[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, okay.
[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_01]: It looked very floppy, and, you know, the whole scene is like giving...
[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It didn't look like a real handbell to me in my expertise of high school church handbell.
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I was wondering.
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I was wondering.
[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, the one thing that bothered me about this particular scene, and I don't know if it bothered you, Patrick, but...
[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_02]: What happens when you slow a video down?
[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_02]: What happens to the sound?
[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_02]: It becomes distorted.
[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Distorted.
[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_02]: It becomes more...
[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_02]: It affects it.
[00:32:48] [SPEAKER_02]: This slow motion bell stayed on pitch for what the bell should sound like.
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_02]: And that bothered me for some reason.
[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's a tough spot to be in as an editor.
[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Because you either have to do the thing...
[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I would have liked it to...
[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_03]: They should have played it funnier.
[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I would have played it funnier.
[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That would make the most sense.
[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_02]: But they kept it as the right pitch, which bothered me.
[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Beth, Dan does have a glove kink.
[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I can't believe we're doing this right now.
[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_02]: I told you to keep it private.
[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, so...
[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a very funny scene, and I would recommend going to Lifetime Uncorked social media and check it out.
[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_01]: It truly is all you need to see in this movie.
[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_02]: It is the only thing you have to see in this movie, especially when you find out what the clues are leading to in this house.
[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Can't wait.
[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Can't wait to hear...
[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, go ahead.
[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was just going to say, if you can find a pull clip from a movie, that's a win.
[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a win.
[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a win, right?
[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So, yes, this is very old-school Hallmark.
[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_01]: They do a baking scene.
[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_01]: There's the whole thing with the...
[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_01]: What are the random things that they do?
[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they pet a lamb.
[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_01]: They befriend a little girl.
[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, your classic Hallmark tropes.
[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Your baking scene.
[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_02]: You're meeting a little girl.
[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You're petting a lamb.
[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: All the things that you check the boxes off in a Christmas movie.
[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Those are the type of things you can find in Christmas movie magic available right now.
[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I played the petting a lamb card last night.
[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I know.
[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Won the game for me.
[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I will say, a lot of these cards, sometimes you're like, am I going to get to play this?
[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Am I going to get to play this?
[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Never discard the petting a lamb card.
[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it'll come up once a year.
[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_02]: And so, Christmas movie magic available right now, decktheholmark.com slash game.
[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_01]: They kiss, and it is implied that they have a little sexy time.
[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_01]: It is implied.
[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Because when they wake up the next morning, he's making the full English breakfast with the blood sausage and all that.
[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_02]: It is as implied as the sexy movie was last year in Lifetime.
[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it really was.
[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_02]: But Maria Nonos isn't going out there being like-
[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Marina Nonos?
[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Maria Nonos.
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Maria Nonos.
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_02]: She wasn't going out there going on Access Hollywood being like, Lifetime's getting hot and heavy.
[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Because she knew that'd be a lie.
[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_03]: She no-noses it.
[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_02]: She no-noses it.
[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the great level.
[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So, the boss shows up.
[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's time to wreck this relationship.
[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Take a wrecking ball to it.
[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't even lock around!
[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Yep, yep.
[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Miley's there.
[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_01]: They are like, oh, hey, here's a buyer for the development you've been developing.
[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And Alfie, the guy, is pissed.
[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, oh my gosh, what's going on?
[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Dude.
[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_01]: He finds the blueprints.
[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_01]: He opens them up, and they're blue.
[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_01]: They're blue.
[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Good.
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_02]: They're on blue paper.
[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh.
[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_01]: It's the funniest thing I've ever seen.
[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_01]: No!
[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_01]: A very dramatic moment, holding this blue paper.
[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_01]: How do you explain this, Marina Nonos?
[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And there's like post-its on it.
[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a bad blueprint.
[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my goodness.
[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Look how mad he looks in that picture.
[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_01]: He's so mad.
[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_01]: He's so mad.
[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And Marina Nonos is like, oh, it's all a misunderstanding.
[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_01]: But isn't it a good design that I drew?
[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a great design.
[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_01]: And we finally get to the mystery.
[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_01]: It's time to solve this thing.
[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is.
[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, before we repair the relationship, Maria Nonos finds a key inside a Christmas
[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_01]: ornament.
[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't ask.
[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Classic.
[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Splits open like an Easter egg.
[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And she goes downstairs.
[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_01]: She opens up a room.
[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And in the room next to the wine cellar is an underground portal to a castle or something.
[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_01]: It has something called a Norman arch.
[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_02]: A Norman arch.
[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Man.
[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing.
[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing.
[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_02]: The Norman arch is the big deal here.
[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I saw it coming a mile away.
[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_03]: When you started, when you started talking about the volume of her hair, I was like,
[00:37:12] [SPEAKER_03]: this is a Norman arch movie.
[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_02]: This is another part of this movie that I love is there were these two people that are
[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_02]: interested in buying the place.
[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_02]: And she brings them down to the estate, shows in the Norman arch.
[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And they're like, we're doubling it.
[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll name your price.
[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_02]: And she's like, price for the Norman arch.
[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not for sale.
[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_02]: So mean to bring them back down there.
[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Show them the Norman arch in person just to say, not for you.
[00:37:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Not this Norman arch.
[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_01]: They really want that Norman arch, which is a semicircular arch.
[00:37:47] [SPEAKER_01]: The chief characteristics of the Norman arch is a semicircular arch, often combined with
[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_01]: a massive cylindrical pillars.
[00:37:55] [SPEAKER_01]: And you wrote that.
[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you did.
[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I wrote that on my blog, lifetimeoncourt.com.
[00:38:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I just copied it from Wikipedia.
[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_03]: No.
[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You just stole it straight from Wikipedia.
[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_03]: How dare you?
[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_01]: No.
[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I cite my sources.
[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Of course I do.
[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_01]: No.
[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't even cite my own brain or remember what I literally just wrote.
[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Can't even cite my own brain.
[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, the thing is you don't have to, Patrick.
[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing is it's yours.
[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh.
[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, great.
[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm covered then.
[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You're covered.
[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Legally, I'm covered.
[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_03]: You are covered from your own brain.
[00:38:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So Alfie and Maria Menudos apologize.
[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_01]: They decide to open up Plum Hill Manor as a museum.
[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Yay!
[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_01]: We did it.
[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not done.
[00:38:36] [SPEAKER_01]: We throw all the holiday parties and the first one starts immediately.
[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone dresses up and Maria Menudos looks amazing.
[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_01]: She signs the contracts and Alfie gives her a fancy pen to sign the contracts with for Christmas.
[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Not a flat iron.
[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm.
[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And then one more thing happens.
[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_01]: One more thing happens.
[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_01]: This movie won't end.
[00:38:55] [SPEAKER_01]: This is the experience that I had watching the movie.
[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yeah, I'm like, this is the end, right?
[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no.
[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_01]: The following year, Maria Menudos sends a Christmas card to her boss.
[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Her boss is at work in the office with no desktop computer.
[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's her with Alfie and the lamb, the lamb that she petted, the little girl's nowhere to be found.
[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Her hair looks great in the picture.
[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And the man is wearing a sheep skin.
[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_01]: What are we doing?
[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Like a sheep jacket on the inside.
[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, the jacket that has the sheep.
[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's got the wool on the inside.
[00:39:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:39:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's inappropriate when you're holding a lamb to wear the mother at the same time.
[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think it's real lamb or it's faux lamb?
[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It's real.
[00:39:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the lamb knows that.
[00:39:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_03]: The lamb clocks it and they're like.
[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_02]: The lamb sees that.
[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Faux or no.
[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Faux or no.
[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_02]: The lamb's not in.
[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Faux or no, it's rude and inconsiderate at the very least.
[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_02]: They've lost a lot of good brothers.
[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_02]: They've lost their brothers and their sisters.
[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_02]: They have.
[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Mothers and their daughters.
[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And that is the end.
[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Be good to your daughters.
[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't let them get slain for target.
[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Mother be good to your daughters.
[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't let them get slain for like you do.
[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_01]: That's amazing.
[00:40:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Lamb's become sheep.
[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Sheep.
[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Which turns into sweatshirts.
[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Sweatshirts.
[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Lamb mayor, please.
[00:40:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm putting a cork in it.
[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Great.
[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Dan, what it loath this movie?
[00:40:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I am pouring up this episode as my new favorite deck of the lifetime on corked episode.
[00:40:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Why?
[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_03]: A lot of things happen here.
[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Very little to do with the movie.
[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_03]: We didn't have to hem and haw about the interworkings of the plot of this film.
[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_03]: We talked more about Maria Menounos' hair.
[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_03]: We had a lot of fun movie talk at the beginning.
[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_03]: We had some fun bits, some fun jokes.
[00:40:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Your kink was exposed.
[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_03]: The glove kink.
[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It's great that it's out there now.
[00:40:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Been high with that for a long time.
[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, Patrick got to experience I'm lonely for the first time.
[00:41:01] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot to love here.
[00:41:04] [SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing to love about this movie.
[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Maria, Maria Menounos or not.
[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to put a cork right in it.
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Patrick.
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[00:41:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Um, well, I, what did I say on my blog?
[00:41:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I should stick to this after you guys called me out last time.
[00:41:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Or follow your heart with this one.
[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it'll lead you to the right place.
[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:41:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I put a cork in it on my blog.
[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_01]: One Christmas tree, one glass of wine, enjoyment level.
[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And, uh, you know, I would say that coming out of the gate, we, I was hopeful for Maria Menounos and I still think she's great, but I think this movie was so boring.
[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Um, and nothing happened.
[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, it wasn't really Christmassy at all.
[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And, uh, you know, uh, yeah, that's it.
[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_02]: This movie's a turd.
[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, but tonight, I believe it's tonight that the, uh, next movie is Christmas in the spotlight.
[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that right?
[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Christmas in the spotlight.
[00:41:59] [SPEAKER_02]: The, uh, definitely not Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey love story.
[00:42:03] [SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
[00:42:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Not.
[00:42:05] [SPEAKER_01]: No.
[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And they're putting it out before holiday touchdown.
[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_03]: So look at them.
[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_03]: They're doing it.
[00:42:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_01]: They really scooped them on that one, that lifetime.
[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_01]: But, uh, yeah, we'll see how that goes.
[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we sure will.
[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, joy.
[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, join us.
[00:42:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Will you join us next, uh, next Saturday, Patrick, you'll be back and we'll talk about that movie.
[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and then join us tomorrow for another episode of deck, the homework and another week begins.
[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It's all, it all is.
[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_02]: It never, never stop.
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Never stop.
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_02]: And we'll be here when you need us.
[00:42:36] [SPEAKER_02]: We're here when you need us.
[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, until then, maybe the first to wish you a Merry Christmas.
