The movie starts in the ER, where, as usual, all the doctors are in great moods and super chill. Hannah is an ER doctor and takes the lead on a Christmas patient brought in by paramedic Wes.

After a hard shift, Hannah roams Philly while Jason Kelce sings to us. She gets home, where she lives alone. Her neighbor insists that she eat some manicotti. She talks to her dad, who is also a doctor, and he also encourages her to eat some manicotti.

Paramedic Wes is great at his job and is training rookie Julia. She's feeling frazzled on her first day, but he's so calming and encouraging.

We also meet Officer Sanjay. He has a mustache and is awesome. He's talking with Danielle about how she ghosted him after the Christmas party. Turns out, they're going to be partners while her normal partner is on paternity leave. They deal with heavy-hitting Philly crime, like two neighbors arguing about Christmas decorations.

Wes is thrilled when he brings a kid to the hospital and sees Hannah again. He remembers her from the other night and invites her to help him decorate a house for Christmas, which he and the other EMS team are decorating. They meet up, bond over stitch techniques, walk through Philly, have the best time, and agree to do it again soon.

Sanjay and Danielle end up having a great time together. She's about to ask him if he’s going to the ball with her, but then Sanjay's girlfriend shows up, and she's like, "Ohhh, I see."

Wes goes to meet Hannah at her apartment for dinner, but she never shows up. She got held up at work. She feels awful, and they make up the next day by talking like adults. He then takes her to get her first Philly cheesesteak, made by Donna Kelce.

Danielle is mad at Sanjay until she finds out that the woman who showed up wasn’t his girlfriend, but his sister. They're back on! She even calls him "sweetie." THEY ARE A THING!

Hannah and Wes are clearly digging each other. They hang out a lot and even carol together.

It's Christmas Eve, and the EMS/Fire department is about to do their Christmas Eve potluck when they get a call about a fire. The chief runs in, but Wes can tell something bad is going on, so he runs in—no equipment needed—and fireman-carries the chief out of there.

They rush to get him to the ER, where Hannah is working. She saves his life.

Sanjay realizes that he had the wrong number for Danielle all this time. She asks him to the New Year's Eve ball, and he answers with a kiss.

Hannah goes to talk to Wes, and they end up sharing a big kiss. Then, they both get called to do their jobs.

[00:00:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Hi, I'm Brad and I love Hallmark Christmas movies. I'm Brian, I like Hallmark Christmas movies. I'm Dan and I despise Hallmark Christmas movies and this is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast. Deck The Hallmark, it's his podcast. And friends host his podcast. We hope you like this jolly podcast. Happy Thanksgiving Eve. That's right. Big Eve. What happened to be on the school bus today? I don't know. I mean, surely there's no kids going to school today, right?

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_05]: If you are though, right on in. I will say when I was a kid, we went to school on Wednesday before we were school. Really? I think so. I think that sounds right. Half day. Half day. Because all the parents love a half day. It's so convenient. It's the best. It's so easy for us. So convenient for that. That's the thing you don't think about when you're a kid is just how inconvenient you are. Yeah. That your general existence is a tough go. It's a tough go.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Parent of the year this year. And it's going great. I'm doing great. I'm doing great. All I've had to do is keep my mouth shut. You're just moving up the rankings.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing worse than a half day. A half day is brutal. There's nothing worse. Maybe a remote day. A little maybe worse. But I know. A half day is just the amount of time. It interrupts everything. Yeah.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. When you're coming home, son, I don't know when. We'll get together then. When? Half day. We're going to have a good time then, though.

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_05]: We're talking Christmas on call is what we're talking about today. A movie that inspired me to get back out my pot and spoon and hit it together.

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I was going to say, it was a weird time to stop the sentence. Get back out my pot and spoon and hit it together. Remember that?

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. Remember that? We never did that here in Greenville because it's so. . .

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what it is. No. Remember in the big cities during COVID and everybody would hit the thing?

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The heroes of COVID. That's right. Yes. The heroes of COVID.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And. . .

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Better than a raise for those heroes.

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_05]: That's exactly right. Because you can't do. . .

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_05]: The money you'll spend. . .

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_05]: The money.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_05]: The memory of the pot.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Everybody loves that sound.

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_05]: That's the best.

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Everybody loves the sound of just clanking pans.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_05]: And so that's what they. . .

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Clanking pans.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what they really want forever.

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_03]: You know when it was. . .

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_03]: When they're on like their 80th hour of the week, they're like, man, if somebody would

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_03]: clank a pan for me, that would be fantastic.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_05]: That's all I need.

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_05]: No one clanked a pan for us.

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_05]: And I understand.

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_03]: We didn't get any pans clanked.

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_03]: We didn't deserve any, quite frankly.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we were doing the hard work of reviewing Hallmark movies.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_03]: We didn't have to take a day.

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, our job pretty much, you know, stayed. . .

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_05]: This show runs itself at this point.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: You and I just didn't see anybody else.

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_03]: We were a corn team.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Corn team.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Corn team, everybody.

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey.

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Neighbor corn team.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Anyway, get your pot out, everybody, and do what you want with that.

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_05]: We're talking pots on pans.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_05]: We're talking Christmas.

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_05]: We're talking Christmas on Call is the movie today.

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_05]: A reminder, you can get Christmas Movie Magic directly from us, because Amazon's the devil.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Bram, we're mere, like, what, two weeks and change away from Christmas, Colin?

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Can you believe it?

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Holy cow.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_03]: This is really just two weeks and change?

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_03]: That's so fast.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_03]: In fact, two weeks from tomorrow.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_03]: This is Wednesday, right?

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_03]: So we'll be there.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: That's correct.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: On our way, right?

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Can you believe it?

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I can't believe that.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Right around the corner.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I can't believe that.

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_05]: We got up three weeks before that.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_05]: What do we got?

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_05]: What do we got?

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_05]: We got anything?

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Not like this week.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: We got anything special planned?

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we're going to be selling a bunch of new stuff.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to Macaulay Culkin Home Alone.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: As normies.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a double-decker dinner.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_03]: There is a dinner.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: If you're a double-decker, we go and hang out.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: We eat pizza and...

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Cake.

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And whoever the poor server is at that dinner, we, you know, make...

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Rachel.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_03]: We call them Rachel, and they are now, you know, part of the gang.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_05]: We're going to have a lot of it.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_05]: We bang pots and pans for Rachel.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_05]: We're going to stay and get into some shenanigans in New York City.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be a lot of fun.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_05]: A lot of fun.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I can't wait.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be a good trip.

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be a good trip.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I know already.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_05]: I got word.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_05]: It's from future...

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_03]: So there was a chance that we had pre-planned a bad trip?

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, cool.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Got it.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Got it.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_05]: And I know it was like a...

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_05]: I know it wasn't like high odds.

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_05]: It was like 90-10.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_05]: It can't all be good trips.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: But now it's 100.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_01]: 100% chance of a good trip.

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_03]: What if it snows?

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I was just thinking that.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_03]: What if it snows?

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Every year we want to snow.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: What if we get snowed into the airport?

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_03]: We're not quite at the 15-day yet.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Man.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_01]: We would drive it, right?

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we'd get a car, right?

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Get on out of there.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_05]: We would drive it.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_05]: We would drive it.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_05]: You got to drive it.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Christmas road trip.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm dying to drive in the snow.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Bring it.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Christmas road trip.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Let's talk Christmas on call, shall we?

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_05]: November 24th, 2024 is when it premiered on the Hallmark Channel.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_05]: It went a little something like this.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_05]: The movie starts in the ER where, as usual, all doctors are in good moods and they're super chill.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Hannah is an ER doctor and takes the lead on a Christmas patient brought in by Paramedic

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Her neighbor insists that she eats some manicotti.

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_05]: And if you think it's the last time we're going to hear about that.

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't play a drinking game.

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_05]: She talks to her dad who, uh-oh, is also a doctor and also encourages her to eat some,

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_05]: you guessed it, manicotti.

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Manicotti.

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Paramedic Wes is great at his job and is training rookie Julia.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Julia.

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_05]: She's feeling frazzled on her first day, but he's so calming and encouraging.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_05]: We then meet Officer Sanjay.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_05]: He has a mustache and is awesome.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_05]: He is talking to Danielle about how she ghosted him after the New Year's Eve party last year.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_05]: They deal with some heavy-hitting Philly crimes such as two neighbors arguing about Christmas decor.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Wes is thrilled.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_05]: When he brings a kid to the hospital, because that means he gets to see Hannah again.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_05]: He remembers her from the other night and invites her to help him decorate a house for Christmas,

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_05]: They walk through the streets of Philly.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Sanjay and Danielle end up having a great time together.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_05]: She's about to ask him if he's going to the ball.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_05]: But then Sanjay's girlfriend shows up, and she's like, oh, I see.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_05]: So we're not going to talk about that.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Wes goes to meet Hannah at her apartment for dinner and to decorate her tree, but she never shows up.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_05]: She got held up at work.

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_05]: She feels awful, and they make up the next day by talking like adults.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a new thing.

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_05]: You should try it.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_05]: He then takes her to get her first Philly cheesesteak made by Donna Kelsey, the MVP of Countdown to Christmas.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Danielle is mad at Sanjay until—

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Are we going to see her again, you think?

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_03]: That's it?

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_03]: This weekend.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I think so.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_03]: You think we'll see her again?

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think she'll be better or worse in that movie versus this movie?

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: That's tough.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_05]: It's got to be—

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I think she's got to be worse.

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_05]: It's got to be better.

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_05]: It's got to be better.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_05]: It's got to be better.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_05]: It's got to be better.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I hope she gets more screen time.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Anyway.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, she will.

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Six scenes, depending on how you look at it.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Did you get word from Donna?

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_02]: That'd be my guess.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you know how you said 100% chance we're going to have the same person just told me six

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: scenes, depending on how you look at it.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_03]: You guys have in your ears.

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_03]: For a holiday story.

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_03]: For a holiday touchdown.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Six on six, huh?

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Six scenes for Donna Kelsey.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_03]: How about that?

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Danielle is mad at Sanjay about the whole girlfriend situation until she finds out that the woman who

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_05]: showed up wasn't his girlfriend, but his sister.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_05]: They're back on.

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_05]: She even calls him sweetie.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_05]: They are a thing.

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Hannah and Wes are clearly digging each other.

[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_05]: They hang out a lot, and they even end up caroling together.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_05]: It's Christmas Eve, and the EMS slash fire department is about to do their Christmas Eve potluck outside

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_05]: in Philly when they get a call about a fire.

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_05]: We have a fire budget, everybody.

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_05]: We have a fire budget.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_05]: The chief runs in to said fire, but Wes can tell that something bad is going on, and so he runs in.

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_05]: No equipment needed, and fireman carries the chief right out of that building.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_05]: They rush to get him to the ER where Hannah is working.

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_05]: She saves his life.

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Sanjay realizes that he had the wrong number for Danielle this whole time, so that's why she was never texting him back.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_05]: She asks him to the New Year's Eve ball, and he answers with a kiss.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Hannah goes to talk to Wes, and they end up sharing a big kiss as well, and then they both get called back to their jobs.

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_05]: And now, my friends, Wes.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Christmas on call.

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_03]: We did it.

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Welcome back, everybody.

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Hopefully, you're doing well.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_05]: We're actually going to take a break.

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I just...

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_05]: So, I got the same word in my ear.

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: That you went straight to welcome back.

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It'll be a good trip.

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It'll be a big week.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a big week.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Brandon, I'm already on my second order of Naked Wines because it takes out everything that I hated about buying wine in the first place and replaces it with all the good stuff.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Instead of going to the store and not sure if you're buying a good bottle of wine or not, Naked Wines works directly with wineries to ship you wines that you will love direct to your door for less money.

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right, Dano.

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_05]: This podcast, it is sponsored by Naked Wines, and we're happy about it because Naked Wines is incredible.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_05]: They make it so easy to find some amazing, high-quality wines for like a fraction of the price that you would normally pay in stores.

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Dan, we were blown away by what we got from Naked Wines.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Not only was it an incredible selection, but it's stuff that I never know what to look for in wine.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_05]: My wife loves wine.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I never know what to look for.

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_05]: And my wife was blown away by the wine.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_05]: We've bought another box.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_05]: You bought another box.

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Blown away.

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And the customer service is incredible.

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And if you don't like one of the wines, they will credit you to try something else.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_05]: They're wanting to make sure that you get the wine that you like the most.

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're going to save hundreds of dollars, and you're going to drink better wine.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a real win-win situation.

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_03]: When I tell you this deal, you're going to be shocked.

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm serious.

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Head to NakedWines.com slash DeckTheHallmark and click Enter Voucher in the top right when you get to the website and put in DeckTheHallmark for both the code and the password.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_03]: If you do that, you're going to get six bottles of wine for just $39.99, including shipping.

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow.

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_03]: That's $100 off.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_03]: NakedWines.com slash DeckTheHallmark and use the code and password DeckTheHallmark and grab six bottles for just $39.99.

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Do it now.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_03]: You'll thank me later.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Right now.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Go.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_04]: It's time for...

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to take a quick break.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to have four segments.

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_02]: It's time for the hot take.

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_05]: It is where we share exactly how we felt about this movie.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_05]: We do not hold back.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_05]: And we're talking Christmas on call, of course.

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And so I'm going to call my friend Brian and hear his thoughts on this movie.

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Brian, what did you think about Christmas on call?

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks, Brian.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_01]: This was just okay for me, actually.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I like the idea of highlighting these stories at this time of year.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_01]: A little sad.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_01]: A little uplifting.

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Atuvle in this?

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you kidding?

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I did not...

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Even Atuvle.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Atuvle in this?

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Atuvle.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I forgot.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I forgot.

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know until I saw him.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Holy...

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I saw his name and I'm like, yeah.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what it was.

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I saw the name and I was like, oh my goodness.

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Are we going to get like a little splash?

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_03]: As Sanjay Patel.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_03]: In the whole body.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And we found out he's Indian.

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Indian, yeah.

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Which is fantastic.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought for sure it would be a little cameo, little role, whatever.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_01]: He's in this whole movie.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's the B story of this movie.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_01]: This is a big B story.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Really great.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: The big B.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he is the big B in a good way.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01]: With that mustache, just a ray of sunshine.

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Medic 65, a.k.a.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Sedarius Blaine, really great in this.

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Really likes him a lot.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And Julia, the rookie.

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I liked her a lot.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of characters I really liked in this.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_01]: The Silent Night playing in the ER in the background was a little weird to kick it off.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_01]: The first emergency.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Just a little bit.

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I was worried they were setting the tone there where this is what we're in for.

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a permanently silent night for some people this Christmas.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Something like that.

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01]: That would have been some voiceover.

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Pop right in.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Voice of God.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to bring her back.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying.

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying.

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Crank up that silent night.

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: You made the joke about Jason Kelsey or the mention of Jason Kelsey singing.

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I love that song.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_01]: That's Mount Joy there.

[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't realize that it was a tie-in with the Philly Specials.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Philly Special.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Their album just came out really cool.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it a little bit this week on Christmas morning.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_01]: So what's the downside here?

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_01]: It seems like you're raving.

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like that.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And you said it was just okay for you.

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just sort of like not – it's kind of – it's just – I don't know.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get too on brand here.

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: It kind of flatlined a little bit for me.

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It was a little like –

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_03]: You can't say I don't want to get too on brand and then literally say something you've

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_03]: never said before and is a direct health care metaphor.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Bring my pot in.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_04]: I just did.

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to get too on brand here.

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_01]: You need to get the charging pads out because this thing –

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Resuscitate code 19.

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, break or break or one nine.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_01]: It just was – I don't know.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot of things I liked.

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just like – I don't know.

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just like okay.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't that funny.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't super exciting.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, right.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: They did have the fire budget.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_01]: That was a little bit of excitement.

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Great fire.

[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I don't know.

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just all right.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I totally crushed it.

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe I liked it more than I think that I did.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_03]: When did you watch this movie?

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you watch it at the same time that you watched Three Wiser or separate or before

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_03]: or after?

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a good question, Dan.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Did you watch it?

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Because you gave me a hard time saying I needed to not watch Three Wiser Men first this morning.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_01]: I think I probably watched this before Three Wiser Men, but not back-to-back.

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't watch them back-to-back.

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just okay.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't funny enough or something.

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: It definitely wasn't funny enough.

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't funny enough.

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's something they were going for.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't funny enough or something.

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was in the mood for.

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I would say it was –

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Claire, it was funny enough for a movie that's not funny.

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't say –

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't want it to be funnier in that context.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_01]: You're right.

[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where you throw the jokes.

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_01]: ER is not funny.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where you throw the jokes.

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_01]: ER is not funny.

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's why I would like to not be in the ER so much.

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Paramedics doing their job.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Not funny.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I know.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_01]: They're just doing a good job out there.

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Bri, Bri, Bri, Bri, Bri, Bri.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I just don't know what you're looking for.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_05]: He's looking –

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Apparently, you're looking for the funny.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_05]: And that's fine.

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_05]: That's all.

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_05]: But what we have here is not one but two dynamite love stories.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Romance.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_05]: The chemistry between both of these couples was off the charts.

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_05]: And Dan, you're my witness.

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_05]: We're like 10 minutes into this movie and I go, I think this might be sleeper of the year.

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I could just tell right away with the chemistry between these two leads and then Tavle comes on screen and I'm like, we got something here.

[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_05]: This is something special.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I felt like the chemistry between the A story was as good as we've seen this holiday season.

[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I thought that their chemistry was off the charts right away.

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Sarah Canning, Mr. Darius Blame from the moment they're on screen together.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_05]: It was just –

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Off the patient charts.

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Off the charts.

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Check the charts.

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_05]: And so if I had to rate my pain from smiley face to sad face, I'm going – this made me smile.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Not because of the funnies.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_05]: It's not funny enough.

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not a funny thing.

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_05]: But because of the two stories, like I just thought that they were both really good.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Now, is there – was this a Christmas movie?

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't know.

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_05]: This definitely seemed like a movie that could have taken place any time during the year and didn't necessarily need the Christmas.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_05]: And so if there was one thing, like maybe just up the – maybe I don't need the real fire.

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Take away fire budget and give me more Christmas budget because I could have used some more of that.

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Aside from that, no real complaints for Baren.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I love this movie.

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Dano?

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_03]: There's three movies this weekend that all – aside from Three Wiser Men and A Boy, the other three movies could have taken place not at Christmas time.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the other two are more egregious.

[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_03]: The bookstore one and to having to holiday are much more egregious in the this-didn't-have-to-be Christmas camp.

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I would say that this movie did – like, two –

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_03]: The fact that they have to work on Christmas and Christmas Eve I think is a big deal.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, people have to work then, and I think they use that to their advantage.

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_03]: But I don't think you're completely wrong.

[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I just think those two movies were more egregious than this one.

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I think those two movies had no business being at Christmas.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm very torn on this movie because I agree with points from both of these guys.

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I think Sarah Canning and Serenius Blaine, chemistry, magnetic, off the charts, unbelievable.

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Great kiss.

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Erika Tuble in this movie is a godsend.

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_03]: He is not going for super wacky funny, but he has a couple things he does in this movie that are really, really great.

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But during the preview episode, I said this movie was going to be terrible because you don't want to go to Philadelphia and make a movie about Philadelphia where you're actually filmed in Canada.

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And then everybody was like, well, Donna Kelsey is going to be in it, blah, blah, blah.

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_03]: It might be filmed in Philadelphia.

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_03]: This movie couldn't have been less Philadelphia.

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like my big, the thing that I loved about this movie was it didn't feel like a Hallmark movie.

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_03]: It felt like a, a basically a 24 to 48 hour movie where these people are all kind of crossing paths and the two leads had good chemistry.

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love all of that.

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_03]: But unlike New York city where it just comes to the territory, New York city is such a big deal that New York city is going to be staged in Canada in 10 of these movies every year.

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And you get used to it and New Yorkers just laugh it off.

[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I just felt offended on behalf of everyone from Philadelphia for a number of reasons.

[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll get into the way.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03]: What, but this movie doesn't even like try.

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And when they do try to be Philadelphia, it's worse.

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_03]: It's worse.

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_03]: There are some really cringe worthy scenes here where if they were actually in Philadelphia, holy cow, this movie has something, but they're not.

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: They never were.

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_03]: They may have had some establishing shots, but there's no world where this movie takes place in a town that is so specific in its environment and in its people that it's unmistakable.

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_03]: They weren't there.

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And because of that, the movie never feels as fully realized as it should to me that now the chemistry that leads is good.

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I love the idea.

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I think around the, the periphery, we've got some great Canadian all-stars, Paul S.

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Embray, John Lowe, guys that always bring it.

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Paul S.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Embray was great in Carol for two.

[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He's really solid in this movie.

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_05]: You're talking about Andrew Walker's dad.

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Andrew Walker's dad.

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_03]: John Lowe who plays Santa in all these movies is the doctor at the ER.

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Doctor.

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I think there's some stuff that you really can be like if I, if, if this is a movie that you are already excited for and the two leads chemistry wins the day for you, I think this is going to be high up on your list.

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm very torn on this movie.

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Right now I have it at 10th on my list.

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll give my, and I don't know if this is hot.

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how hot this is.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if this is hot this, liked it more than three wiser men and a boy.

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_03]: That is a scalding take.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I said what I said.

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_03]: But I will say this.

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't, knowing you, I think that that's a fair metric for you.

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that, and that's not, it sounded like a backhanded compliment and it's not.

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that like if I watch these two movies, I would probably say brand probably liked this more than three wiser men and a boy.

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_03]: and to be fair I have three wise men and a boy six and I have this 10 and the four movies in

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_03]: between there I think all of them could be on either side of that so I think they're right there

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_03]: and and who knows where they end up on the final list but right now it's 10 and it might move up

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03]: right now I just felt like twas the date uh holiday crashers and carol for two all those

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_03]: are all like my six seven eight nine those three movies all edge this one out in my opinion right

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_05]: do you have an idea of what like the movies that are around this one that you would you got this

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: probably out of 27 you got this what about 15 16 I have no I haven't ordered I have the number

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I haven't put them in order I'm gonna put it in order I gotta get it all I don't know this is

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_01]: middle of the pack for me okay yeah yeah I know that uh let's get to the all the fields where we're

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_01]: talking about what this human gave us feels Brian yeah I feel like giving an ornament as a gift is

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_01]: like one of the most thoughtful gifts the more I thought about it I believe he gave her an ornament

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_01]: right I feel like that's what happened in this movie this was a while ago now I feel like but

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_01]: yeah it was an ornament given as a gift and I remember I always remember yeah I remember it was

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_01]: boxing gloves what was it that's right boxing gloves right because the Philly of it all yeah rocky you

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_03]: know how they're in Philadelphia you know if this movie just takes place in Winnipeg it's a better

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: movie somebody in the chat said it was shot in Winnipeg if this movie is just a Winnipeg movie yeah

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_03]: without Donna Kelsey in it and it's it's literally a better movie you would agree right

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_05]: brand uh my only my only hesitation is that some of the Philly Go Birds stuff that I really liked

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_03]: about this movie I we would Cowboys Eagles thing was funny that's exactly one thing the rest of the

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Go Birds stuff didn't work for me um so that I feel like the more I thought about that an ornament

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_01]: it's just a really really thoughtful great gift and if you do it right you know that people are

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_01]: going to take it out every single year that's right me and my wife we do it every year that's such a

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_01]: great gift and so that really hit hard in this movie for me for some reason where I'm like wow that

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_01]: might be one of the best Christmas gifts you can give or just holiday gifts you can give somebody so

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_05]: to your point I went there was a yeah I don't even remember what year this was maybe six seven eight

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_05]: years ago now I went through a big uh pretzels which cheat like a like a big pretzel with cheese face I

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_03]: would I got your pot out you're out of your pretzels with cheese face no get out of here

[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_05]: no I'm not technically no I'm not but it was been a decade I'm not but it was problematic

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_05]: and so every meal had to have one of my ornaments from Caitlin that she's giving me over the years

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_04]: is a giant pretzel and I think about it I might say I ate a lot of pretzels that year this is a

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I will say it's actually a trophy there was about a year and a half straight where every

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_03]: restaurant Brandon I went to he was like should we get the pretzels red robin burgers should we

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_05]: get those pretzels and beer cheese and I kid you not that year that year I went to go speak at a

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_05]: camp in Pennsylvania and they gave me I don't remember what the amount of money was to purchase

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_05]: food at the canteen and I spent every cent of it on pretzels with cheese I would just go there I'd

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_05]: be like heat that sucker up you see me coming keep them coming if you're gonna give me money to

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_05]: spend at the canteen yeah I want a pretzel and cheese it cheese he'd see it not cheese I do like

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_05]: cheese it I do like cheese it's though um to that to that point the the I I've I thought that as much

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_05]: as we love the uh uh tublai and like that whole thing worked I really liked the that whole where they

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_05]: kept kept having to go back to the and maybe it's because oh I feel a little bit of a kinship with the

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_05]: person who has too much Christmas decorations and I think Dan maybe you felt a little bit of a kinship

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_05]: with the other person and yeah that in and of itself was really I loved that by the end of it

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_05]: they came together and that was really sweet and so that whole kind of a thing that they they didn't

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_05]: need to make I think in other movies you cast some people and it doesn't really matter if they're good

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_05]: but the two guys that they brought in to to play this mixed with the comment of of this storyline going

[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_05]: on with the police officers all every time they were all on screen together it really worked for me

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_03]: and so I love that and I love you I love you buddy uh the first time that Erica Tovely meets these two

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_03]: gentlemen and he sides with the guy that has all the decorations up correct yeah and so he sides

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_03]: against this guy who's trying to get the decorations down and the guy gets really mad at him and he

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_03]: walks away and goes cool it magnum and Erica Tovely being angry at this gentleman still is taken aback

[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_03]: by someone thinking his mustache looks like magnum PIs which it does not but he he goes oh my god like

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_03]: he has this like oh my goodness reaction as he brushes his mustache hysterical hysterical just just

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_03]: perfect just a perfect moment I loved every second of it that that is it man this movie is every every

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_03]: other scene in this movie is fighting for second place that was the best scene in this movie it was

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_03]: fantastic I'll take a quick break we'll come back we get to the way one the what the hallmark here on

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_05]: take the hallmark Kevin that's right Dano it's home alone season it is the movie that we watch every

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_05]: single holiday season we love it it is a classic Christmas movie and this year we have a chance to

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_05]: go watch it on the big screen and hear from the star of the film Macaulay Culkin that's right it's a

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_05]: nostalgic night with Macaulay Culkin following a screening of the holiday classic home alone

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Macaulay Culkin is going to be appearing in person across the country this holiday season for an

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_05]: excited about it but he's also going to be appearing in a ton of different cities including Louisville

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_05]: don't be left home alone welcome back everybody happy Thanksgiving Eve hopefully everybody is

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_03]: it's having a great time if you're doing a traditional Thanksgiving Eve thing you just drive

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_03]: get somebody to drive for you drive drive safe out there be safe out there that's right that's right

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_03]: we don't want anybody to uh-uh nope not here you you go big on Thanksgiving Eve I know I'm sure

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_05]: you do you go out drinking extra bristles extra cheese to show you how uh much I don't do that

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't even know it was a thing oh yeah it's one of the biggest drinking days I didn't know that

[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_03]: yep true story it's I in fact I think it's aside from New Year's Eve might be the biggest drinking

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_05]: day I was literally just thinking about how excited I am to just get in bed and yeah Aaron knows I'm

[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_05]: gonna get in bed early I'm gonna watch a Christmas movie I can't wait yeah I used to might have a

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_03]: drink safely though whatever you do whatever you do do it safely I participated one year in it

[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_03]: it was wild and then I drove for Uber two years in it it was also why I had no idea true story a

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_05]: little baby boy yeah you are such a little baby that's right um let's get to the weight watch

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_05]: it's where we talk about what in this movie made us go away what and I'll start with you Brian sure

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_01]: this uh yeah this is sort of a weight what in that it really hit close to home and it was the neighbor

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_01]: destroying the other neighbor's yard decorations and I just felt like what a likely story like how

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_01]: probably the most realistic thing you know what I'm gonna tell you right now if we keep talking

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_03]: about this you get something like I'm being accused of something I'm gonna start messing up

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_03]: brand jar for real because I've never heard it here first I've never you never you never once never

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_03]: didn't take the blame for the Rudolph situation I've never I've 100% didn't do it

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_03]: 100% unequivocally didn't do it but if I keep getting accused I'm gonna start doing stuff because

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I may as well may as well you keep accusing me I think may as well get out there start messing up

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_03]: anything oh yeah you did with your eyes as soon as it happened you didn't take my

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_03]: you have to admit that it was a fair question to ask why would I do that you know me not not Dan

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_03]: hates Christmas movies you know me would I do that to you no okay no you wouldn't but for a bit

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_05]: going into my yard recording a video of you cutting the cord of Rudolph because I have my

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_05]: decorations up too early and posting it on the Facebook group is I think fair you would even

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_03]: admit it's just I think that's a lot for a bit cutting the cord that's a lot for a bit

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_03]: it's pretty funny it's a good it's funny it is funny yes I'm just gonna say it it's gonna get

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_03]: real I'm not accusing you of doing anything else it sounds like we're a year later we're talking

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_01]: about it just wait until what's that window of like that after you do the crime you can't get in

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_01]: trouble anymore what's that called double jeopardy statute of limitations passes on this crime and

[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_01]: then we're gonna if I did it I'm gonna write my book if I did it if I did cut Rudolph's cord

[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_03]: here's how I do it this is do I have bolt cutters in my garage I do if you looked it would look very

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_03]: suspicious why is it why do I have a little red it's crazy yeah no that's fair the please do oh

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Aaron's up for the fence whose defense are you coming to dance handle the Bible I knowing Dan

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I do think for a bit he would cut the cord film it and then he'd have a new one ready he would have

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_03]: 100% like you would have had like a bigger better Rudolph I would exactly it would have 100% been

[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_03]: the best version of what you had his and you put a better a bigger one in your yard I'm also gonna come to

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_00]: brand's defense a little bit here I was at brand's house yesterday leaving all of the little

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_00]: figurines in the yard were knocked they can't stay up now was it the wind I don't know was it Dan

[00:31:34] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know it wasn't me to to my wife's credit they are called blow molds it isn't the name they

[00:31:41] [SPEAKER_05]: do get blown over that's right I don't I there's nothing I can do I try and there's no way to see

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_05]: they don't have a thing to like secure it I don't know how people do so there's every day it looks

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_05]: like there's been a crime somebody has done something there's a crime scene and the blow molds

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_00]: paid the price I just think it's Dan every morning coming over and that would be that's how I start my

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_02]: morning I get up early I would love I would love a quick quick cut montage of every day you coming

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_02]: over and just pushing him over oh every day every day it's just 60 days straight of you just freezing

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_00]: cold out my breath it's dark the chat does point out that last night we did consider taking them and

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_03]: putting them on Dan's yard and framing him exactly yeah see this is the actual thing that happens

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_00]: there's a lot more logistics involved and we decided too much effort yeah power and yeah

[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_03]: there is an outlet right by the steps up there so don't forget that uh this is sort of a hot take

[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_01]: sort of wait what like the cheesesteak look gross to me it's no that's not a hot take that's okay

[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_03]: it's awful guess what if you want to make a cheesesteak in philadelphia and you're folding the piece

[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_05]: of steak yeah it's not a cheesesteak i said to you Dan i wish that that was cut up a little bit less

[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_03]: they didn't even try then you could just eat the steak yeah then it's just a full steak yeah

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_03]: they cut it into like three strips and they call it and they thought the writing where they're like

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_03]: whiz wit whiz without is like gonna fix it yeah you show a close-up of that thing being made and it

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_03]: looks like they're folding over it's just it was disgusting embarrassing for the producer of our

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_05]: uh south carolina public radio show who it when saturdays at 11 by the way um at is a big

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_05]: birds fan he loves the birds and i want him i i want to tell him to watch this movie so badly

[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_05]: and then film that and i just i want him to film it and just i want a commentary track uh that i can

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_05]: listen along with yeah i just think it'd be so funny just chop up the cheesesteak can't air that

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_03]: on public radio i'm sure no no no you can't hear here yeah just chop up the cheesesteak guys it's not

[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_03]: hard just chop it up they don't have special knives in in philadelphia in wherever they film

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_05]: you know who's to blame here is donna donna knows better donna has spent a lot of time in philly

[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_05]: she knows better donna should have called it out it's unbelievable that gum it donna yeah she'll

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_01]: fix it on the next one the last thing was i feel like when you got when you're in an ambulance

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_01]: heading to the er like you give a heads up right like you call it all right zero times did they know

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_01]: anybody was coming in no it's always a surprise every time they're like in the middle just filling

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_01]: out church whoa whoa whoa what's happening what's happening yeah just a couple a heads up like

[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_03]: some yes just a comment like we got a whatever coming in and it's not just courtesy it saves lives

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_01]: yes they can be out there i mean every time the doctors could meet them outside yeah yeah i've been

[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_03]: on the other side of that and been in the ambulance and the fact is doctors were waiting it took a while

[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_01]: but here we go what do you want me to do it's a podcast i'm supposed to add my personal experience

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_01]: what are we 31 minutes in and we're just getting to the the emergency story this is the second mention

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_00]: of dan's car accident today for oh they watched it too so yeah the whole movie's about being

[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_05]: ready for you dan or uh whatever they had to do that earlier in dan's defense him only mentioning it

[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_05]: two times in one day is down like 90 percent day every day so like yeah that's honestly the

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_05]: restraint that's true man the restraint he must be exhausted by himself that's what it is

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_05]: it's impressive the restraints really i'm proud of you um speaking of restraints when uh he was in

[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_05]: the ambulance are you yeah that's right that's it are you speaking of being proud um this so there's a

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_05]: nurse that works at this um er and she does a facetime with her daughter who is um in army and is

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_05]: deployed this is wild and she says to her daughter i know i don't tell you this enough but i'm proud

[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_05]: of you why not why do you not tell your daughter who is serving in our military that you are proud

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_05]: of her every single day i yeah my if my kid puts his shoe on i go i'm proud of you bud like he's not

[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_05]: even fighting for our country what is wrong with this mom that's right where every every minute of

[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_03]: every day she's not like man my i'm so proud of her also think about her thinking about that like her

[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_03]: the mom it's like friday and she gets home from a long shift and she's like i haven't told my kid

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_05]: i'm proud of him in months she has a calendar of it for sure even i just like wild uh you don't want

[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_05]: to go too hard on it though yeah that's true you don't want them to know that you're proud too much

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_05]: no you want to always always walking around their head abc always keep them guessing that's right um

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_01]: is everyone singing jingle bells in the in the operating room there maybe when jingle bells started

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_01]: banging in the background while they're operating i don't know it could be anything um i will say

[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_05]: that going back to the mom her daughter who she's kind of proud she says she's proud of her uh surprises

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_05]: her by showing up this mom doesn't even shed a tear and dan you and i made this joke but if we're gone

[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_05]: for like longer than a day i walk in i start tearing up yeah this mom is a monster and i just

[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_05]: want it on the record um and i don't know maybe this is a hot take but the um our our guy wes shows up

[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_05]: with his uh trio they're singing a song so whatever song it is and it's a great it's the turtle doves

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_05]: and they're walking down the hallway in their red jackets and i'm like these guys are crushing it

[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_05]: and he's like we need a fourth member of the turtle doves come sing with us

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_05]: the turtle doves are better without her and the turtle doves were something special there were

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_05]: something special the three of them they had it all figured out and they add her to the mix and it

[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_05]: just kind of threw everybody off no one quite knew where to land turtles are better without her i hope

[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_05]: she doesn't uh join the turtle doves on a permanent basis hopefully it was a one-off a one-off show in

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_05]: philly you know you're bringing the somebody uh but the turtles are much better without her and i and

[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_03]: swat that on the record dano uh yeah philadelphia is so quiet in this movie uh birds it is yes you

[00:37:59] [SPEAKER_03]: could whisper go birds and in serdarius blaine that smooth silky voice in philadelphia in the

[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_03]: philadelphia streets you wouldn't be able to hear them in this movie there are times when they're on

[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_03]: the streets of philadelphia pennsylvania and there's literally no background noise the ice skating rink

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_03]: in the mcgarry movie has more volume than the streets of philadelphia and the emergency room

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_03]: in downtown philadelphia is taking one patient at a time and is completely silent uh it is so like

[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_03]: the best part of big cities is that like buzz that hum like it's it's so great it's a big city fan

[00:38:40] [SPEAKER_05]: though yeah he knows all about the big city and can i ask you just a quick question because you do

[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_05]: seem pro big city yeah i've always been under the impression that you're a small town guy is that not

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_03]: the case i was born in a small town right i'll die in a small town i had nothing against a big town

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_03]: listen it might not be for me it seems like small town's good enough for me it's good enough for me

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_03]: is it but if you're going to portray the big town incorrectly then i would take offense to that

[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_03]: on behalf of them i was born i don't think they need you i have nothing against a big need your

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_05]: help i'll die i'll die it seems like you have something against a small town though the way

[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_05]: you're talking about you you seem pro big town as long as i yeah i i have nothing against him i know

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_05]: you don't but there's a difference between having those i have nothing against a big nothing against

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_05]: them and being pro i have nothing against a big i don't know what else you need from me i'll die

[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_03]: i'll die in a small town uh we'll see also in the emergency room uh not in the waiting room in the

[00:39:33] [SPEAKER_03]: hallways where there are rooms there are clumps of christmas trees so not like a christmas tree

[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_03]: at the end of the hall like you're rounding the corner where like they're gonna have like

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_03]: beds with people dying and you got to save their lives

[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_05]: hey 45 stand of cc's oh my god it's exactly right in the tree real quick yes fix the tree put

[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_03]: that back up the body will take care of itself yeah watch out for those wires it couldn't be less

[00:40:02] [SPEAKER_03]: efficient um and then also i'm sure that paramedics and emts paramedics have a little bit more training

[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_03]: than emts do i believe i grabbed that right but they all have to get trained and some of that training

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_03]: has to be on the job i just don't think it's okay when there's a body lying lifeless in an alley

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_03]: and you don't know if they're breathing you don't know if they need medical attention

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_03]: literal seconds save lives and they walk up and sir darius looks at his partner and goes

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_03]: all right remember your training what do you see here what do you think we should do next and

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_03]: she's thinking about it if it's my brother my dad my kid no no no no i just train beforehand

[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_05]: and then like can you imagine being that guy if you could like watch back the tape or something and

[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_01]: you're yeah you're the guy you got saved you're like they wasted a minute and a half

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_01]: while she went through the manual lawsuit waiting to happen i couldn't believe it um

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_03]: uh if you thought the word manicotti was going to be used under 10 times you would have lost that

[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_03]: wager and it would have been substantial uh i couldn't believe that we said the word manicotti i

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_03]: believe 13 times in this movie i didn't i didn't see it coming um it's a lot of man once again i think

[00:41:12] [SPEAKER_03]: they decided if i throw enough philadelphia philadelphia adjacent italian whatever dialogue at us we would

[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_03]: just let it go are we to assume and we aren't aren't to assume they tell us point blank

[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_03]: serdarius blaine's character is both a paramedic and a fireman that just seems like a lot like that

[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_03]: just seemed like i would love to hear from anyone that knows someone who does both of those jobs that

[00:41:34] [SPEAKER_03]: seems like a lot to do those are two very high intensity high like yeah that that is when you

[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_01]: get a break when you like get a time to unwind that's brutal from one job like that's yeah that's

[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_03]: real tough um why does the philadelphia fire department keep hosting outdoor activities for

[00:41:53] [SPEAKER_03]: their on-call employees there are two or three outdoor so like they have a dinner full spread

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_03]: tamales everything you can see the steam manicotti i'm sure you can see the steam coming off the food

[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_03]: it's outside in philadelphia on christmas eve and then all of a sudden you hear the thing everyone's

[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_03]: like we got to go and they just leave all the food out there like they have a karaoke thing it starts

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_03]: in the middle of the day it goes to the evening nobody's drinking any alcohol it's sober christmas

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_03]: caroloki that lasts eight hours that's my nightmare and then they got their own call the whole time i

[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_03]: just to do your stuff indoors i you know i don't know that's all i got i've always heard from like

[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_05]: people that i know that are in the fire space yeah you know in the fire space yes that they're like

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_05]: they don't they're not like at war with paramedics but they are on a regular basis annoyed with it's

[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_03]: a classic it's like all of those divisions are like army navy marines yeah you can't make fun of

[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_05]: any of us but we can make fun of that's exactly yes that's right yeah uh it's time for uh much

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_03]: like podcasters yeah no no that's exactly right don't make fun of yeah i can make fun of the bubbly

[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_03]: sesh but if you make fun of my girl jack's yeah there's a problem there's a problem uh it's time

[00:43:08] [SPEAKER_05]: for what the hallmarks were really funny yeah then we'll let that we're gonna steal it i mean

[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_05]: the joke's right yeah uh aside for what the hallmarks were we wonder what could have been maybe have

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_05]: some clarity any questions that we still have what are we still wondering about i will ask you that

[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_01]: question brian yeah what are you still wondering about the the person who uh atalvalee texts mistakenly

[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_01]: he was trying to text her he texted a number that was different they they gotta let them know like

[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_01]: they're the monster in this this movie they didn't say wrong number right you say nothing because he

[00:43:38] [SPEAKER_01]: texted probably one time maybe another and then another a year later if i'm getting a random text

[00:43:44] [SPEAKER_01]: like that i'm definitely shooting back like hey wrong number yeah like something like i'm assuming

[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_05]: after after the new year's eve situation he was like hey i had a great time last night yes you gotta

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_01]: be like hey man who is this what is going on i don't know you for you my girlfriend's looking at my

[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_01]: phone right now yeah you gotta like that that person's a monster for just letting that fly so

[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_05]: they're eating um right in front of this glass window to the outside and you can't really see much

[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_05]: but at one point an inflatable christmas tree walks by yeah and no no one blinks and no one like

[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_05]: says anything i just wanted like i thought that it was going to be a thing like i started seeing it kind

[00:44:29] [SPEAKER_05]: of bop around in front of them i thought it was going to be a thing and it wasn't so i want like

[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_05]: time i'm assuming it was some sort of extra did an extra come on set with an inflatable kind of

[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_05]: running it's a weird super weird it made it seem like it felt real to me dang it like at christmas

[00:44:53] [SPEAKER_05]: it just felt like something you would see i don't know i don't i was just i don't i don't know
