[00:06:00] The movie kicks off With a little animation that really Does not matter but I did love it It's 11 days until Christmas Mona is approaching She's like 35 I think She talks about how she's gonna be 40 and single Basically she has no worth or Value

[00:06:18] She is on a date with a fella And she goes for it She's like I want you to come And spend Christmas with my family And he's like I am spending it And she's like you're what now Get out of here, scram So Mona is feeling pretty

[00:06:34] Down and she doesn't even want to go to the Christmas dance It's tough That's tough But she finally gets home and is immediately On the streets bumping into Something with it She's immediately walking down the street Take that with you It helps And bumps into A certified hunk

[00:06:58] We've got a certified hunk who's stampin His name is Fletcher They know each other And immediately He points out that He does not see a ring on that finger You are single They agree to meet up at a coffee shop later But then she meets

[00:07:16] Some reporter who is going to be Moving in with her family for the holiday season To do a story about The annual family Christmas carnival We all have one of those Let's do the story His name is Dez And Dez is also a hunk Too many hunks

[00:07:34] It is Too many On one hand She is a lot of fun with Fletcher He's great There is some history there though So what are we to do with that But then Dez is a hunk But also kind of like serious Job so

[00:07:54] What are we going to do Dez sees Mona and Fletcher flirting it up And they go to kiss And Dez interrupts their kiss She is getting ready To go on a date with Fletcher And he shows up and hunks the horn Dez is like

[00:08:10] This guy are you kidding me No respect No respect for me anymore Then she Then she finds out All time are good All time are for this podcast Wish No has any respect Are you combining Rodney Dangerfield And Marlon Brando No has any respect anymore

[00:08:34] Said it couldn't be done That is Rodney Dangerfield doing the godfather No has any respect anymore He's trying to take a shirt off Yeah, a lot of skin You work at the streets Hold on No has any respect anymore I think it's a muppet doing Rodney Dangerfield doing

[00:08:56] A pickleball player Doing a muppet On the golf course But then she finds out that Fletcher doesn't want to have Kits so this is tough But that doesn't stop her from almost kissing Him again but they get interrupted by the Fire station sirens

[00:09:12] That's why you should never have dates at a fire station She starts to notice That Dez is sweet, great with kids And also is fun Once he lets his guard down So Things are picking up She keeps kind of like saying

[00:09:28] I'm not in the Dez, I'm not in the Dez Cause her sister's like Dez is Dez is like a better version of Fletcher That's right And so she keeps Waiting though for Fletch to ask her out To the Christmas ball And Here's the thing

[00:09:46] They are together one night, her and Dez And they're having a good time And he like takes a picture with His iPad and is like Jeez fun times And they're laughing and he's like Hey I gotta take this phone call Here Here's my iPad, hold my iPad

[00:10:04] Hold that sucker real good And so first she sees the picture of herself And she's like good picture, that's a good picture The next picture Is the cover of The story that he has been writing The headline Why we Hate Christmas What? Period Period

[00:10:26] She then scrolls some more She sees that this story is fully written Fully fleshed out, that it's just people That are phonies, big fat phonies Phonies And all this stuff And so when he comes back she's like Who do you think you are? I am

[00:10:42] Get out of here, he's like there's an explanation And she's like there can't be Leaves, scrammo She then goes to talk to Fletch And She basically at the end of the day is like Fletch we just want different, like we just want different

[00:10:56] I want a big family, all this stuff And she's not gonna happen So she's helping her mom out And There's a knock on the door Who is it? There's no answer Who is it? Then I say anything Suddenly I go open the door And just as I expected

[00:11:16] What is it Dan? Dan what is it? Dan tell them what it is Dan what is it? Hey Dan Hey Dan tell them what it is Dan, when I open the door who is it? I don't remember, Brandon I don't remember Who is it? You remember

[00:12:18] And fell in love with Christmas thanks to his family And his town and all this good stuff So she goes to track down Des in the big city And Hey, love the story big guy But I gotta get back to The ball And he's like

[00:12:34] Can I go with you? So they go back to the dance They kiss And that my friends was Christmas with a kiss We did it Who is it Dan? I'm not telling you Brandon We're gonna take a quick break We're gonna be right back here

[00:15:41] Because of the pure lunacy Of it all And it always stars Ronnie Rowe And once you know it It happened again This movie is ridiculous There is A lot to Pick apart about this movie And I don't care I had fun I laughed a lot

[00:16:05] And it's not going to be like in my top 10 Probably not going to be in my top 20 But it will be higher than it should be Just because At one point there was a story Being written called Why We Hate Christmas And that Is hilarious. Dano

[00:16:23] This or Letters to Santa Do you have to watch right now? Which one does Brian want? I can tell you it's this for me You said Letters to Santa I like Letters to Santa And I just enjoyed the movie This is a fun bad movie

[00:16:39] So that's Letters to Santa I think it's a good movie Jokers Have at it Bro, have at it I don't care I've been doing this for six seasons I love Letters to Santa Shut off So this movie Starts off with

[00:17:01] What I think is going to be a really intriguing premise A fun love triangle With three really solid leads It Devolves into one of the worst movies of the year By the time we see Why We Hate Christmas As the title of a magazine article

[00:17:19] And we will camp on it out on it more It is the most absurd Preposterous thing in the world And also Kind of sort of planning a party as well We're kind of party planning In this movie as well And everyone is ridiculous Some of these folks

[00:17:37] It is a riot to watch What is considered tradition in this movie Some crazy lines There's even a weird troop homecoming That's kind of shoehorned in there It started off with so much promise Because it looked like Jamie Calico's character Were both going to be legitimate Possible

[00:17:55] Suitors for her And then it just becomes absurd And not in a fun way A little bit in a fun way But mostly in a face plant kind of way So it's bottom ten for me Not a good movie This, okay It's time for this That or Under

[00:19:01] To the carnival and so she hops on alive And she goes hey it's your girl Mona And I just got a kick out of that Knowing that She said that you're girl Mona twice And I need to know if that's because Ronnie Rowe does

[00:19:13] That's literally my what the homework Like Ronnie Rowe starts every Video with his your boy Ronnie Rowe That's right it is your boy Ronnie Rowe And she starts all of her videos with It's your girl Mona It's gotta be because of that I did love that

[00:19:29] I watched some Ronnie Rowe videos on Instagram Is he still doing it? Of course he is man Is he still just sweating? Oh yeah What I love about Ronnie Rowe In real life Is this guy works out every day Is something about working out

[00:19:47] Causes him to have some sort of inspiring thought And he says I have to share With the people is your boy Ronnie Rowe He's a legitimate free life coach He is giving great like positivity Into the universe on a regular basis

[00:19:59] He works out and something comes to him That's right every time Ronnie Rowe He's always calling Ronald Mr. Ronald Ronald Rowe Ronald Rowe He's here to do two things He's here to have a deep baritone voice And to make serious eye contact with you

[00:20:19] That is what he does That is his move It's in every movie it doesn't get old The dude's voice is just soothing It's unbelievable So I've This is a six holiday season To this point I like to think I've seen it all Especially In the almost kiss department

[00:20:39] I've seen a lot of almost kisses From the noise to a siren To a chime on the phone To a squirrel or a dog bark Or anything to interrupt A kiss I think this is the first time I have seen somebody else

[00:20:55] Who is interested in the same person Interrupt a kiss That he sees is about to happen So like he is seeing Her and Frederick whatever the other guy's name is Fletch About to kiss And he goes Mona I don't think I've seen it And I loved it

[00:21:19] Honestly don't do that Honestly kind of a demove But like I like that it happened In the movies we've seen a lot of almost kisses This one actually Was something I hadn't seen before So there you go Dano

[00:29:04] I know you obviously are Oh those layers? There's like a 6 inch And that's saying something If it took us taking hours and hours for you That would take the normal person Dave's baby Quite a lot You made that one cake I made the one cake

[00:30:46] Knowing that there are 11 days when she comes into town Does not matter But they keep updating us And it's like sure good to know But like I just didn't need to know It but here we are now we know it Ronnie Rowe It's a boy Ronnie Rowe

[00:31:02] Ronnie Rowe Is talking to the kids Because the kids are so sad their dad's not coming home For Christmas And he tells the kids you know My dad was also overseas Yeah this is a big one He was also an army You know I my dad used to

[00:31:20] Love getting videos From me And I said come again now sir How old Are you because If you are as old as You know me When my dad Was in Navy If I wanted to send him a video I'm whipping up the camcorder Getting the VHS

[00:31:44] Putting it in the envelope Singing off and he'd get it in I don't know a year maybe like months But yeah dad loves getting it But then it's way easier For these kids They can just email this sucker Video calling with their dad

[00:32:00] They had not heard of making a video for their dad They had never considered Sitting a video My kids on a daily basis want to send videos To anyone that'll see it So the fact that these kids are like What and also that Ronnie Rowe was

[00:32:14] Sending videos all the time Snail mail style Was great I think he's older than you He's older than you I tried one of the pieces of fudge I've been sitting there for a while Plain chocolate sourdough I got a kick out of her dad In this movie

[00:32:50] Bro you're not well Last but not least Just chess please We've all heard of Alexa We've all heard of Siri We've all heard of Google But in this movie we get a Hey Miri Which I just loved So shout out to Miri Hey Miri play that Christmas playlist

[00:33:12] It was fantastic it was a good one If we just Take a moment and zoom out Which is very dangerous in these movies But if we just take a moment and zoom out And we can see That this character Is a bond villain

[00:33:28] He is the worst human being On the planet He writes For a publication That is nationally syndicated He knows He's writing a piece That I eat all the That I eat all the That I eat all the good fudge That I do As a nation we hate Christmas

[00:33:52] And he's using A small town family Christmas carnival That is on its last leg and a bout Out of money as his Proof he's exploiting This group of people To tear them down even Further and he has gone To them Integrated himself into their family Stayed in their

[00:34:16] Home eating their Food Been a part of their life and he is Planning on pushing go on that Article He's maybe the worst Home art protagonist We've ever seen and I say That knowing full well that I love Ronnie Roe but this dude is Moniacal

[00:34:38] What are like these people are Barely making ends meet Dads making weird heart attack sounds In the kitchen the carnival is going under And the guy who they think is going to Get them more publicity Is secretly writing an article Called why we hate Christmas

[00:34:54] It's because this tiny family Is carnival things like that Suck that's the article he's Writing I couldn't Believe it I was so floored that he Ended up with her after this Revelation I couldn't get over it Also he's very like He and to a certain extent Fletcher

[00:35:12] Really looked down at her for her Job like bro is 2023 she didn't say she Was some sort of brand influencer in 2001 when she didn't have an actual Job she this Is how people make money and she's Probably making more money than you are

[00:35:28] Writing for a publication that's online only Like I don't know what you think Happening man but like show Some respect especially Since you're just lying to her entire Family um at one Point of this movie why can't I think Of the woman who's name the leading

[00:35:44] Lady's name Mona Mona is About to go on a date with Fletcher She has it on her calendar And she and the only thing I can Possibly imagine it happens Here's she gets completely ready for Her date she is dressed Makeup hair is done

[00:36:00] And then she decides now that I'm already to go for my date I'm going to collapse on the couch And put the blanket over my head In its entirety and take a nap In the living room until my sister wakes me up Because

[00:36:14] Her sister comes in and is like Mona Wake up and her sister's and Mona's like She's like wake up And she's like oh my gosh I have a date with Fletcher and she pops up And she looks like she just got ready For the date and it is

[00:36:28] It is a wild scene an absolute Wild scene The number of times That they just bag on the big city And how the small town has all the traditions And New York is this cold Just dark empty place Reminded me of Hallmark from 10 years ago

[00:36:46] I just couldn't get over The fact that they did that And they continue to do it But there's one line in this movie that I have to close with Mona is asking her mom Some advice Because she thinks she's falling in love And she's like

[00:37:02] Mom how did you know that dad was the one Like how did you know classic question And mom says this which is I will understand calculus first She says It's not something you can Know You'll know it when you feel it I What

[00:37:24] You can't know it you will know it When You can't Who's on first I don't know third base You It's not something you can know You will know it is a thing that When you feel it you can't know it But you will But you can't

[00:39:38] Is to the fire station They decorate the fire truck and the kiss is interrupted With a You know a siren going off that there is a fire That needs to be attended to Was he on Is he on the clock Because the date's over

[00:39:54] Like she's done she goes did he go to fight fire Like is that what happened Like is he just volunteering I don't know he's in the truck A couple of times I do think that but he also Is a postal He does do postal work as well

[00:40:10] He does do postal work as well right Does he not? I thought they say at the beginning They say at the beginning of the movie There's a new postal worker in town it's Fletcher Wow I don't remember that No am I just imagining this

[00:40:22] He's just a man about town Maybe he just Does non-emergency related fire stuff Like I'll decorate it I will come bring presents Like lawn ornaments got stolen He could deal with that Just call an authority Don't call an emergency I mean I emailed Knox about it

[00:40:42] That would be the way to go 100% I'm gonna think you'd block an email I do feel like That Fletcher and Dex both had Some pretty severe red flags And I think she probably should have Ended up with either But we can't do that on Hallmark I also think

[00:41:02] Michelle Morgan which is Mona's name And Jamie Calica Which is Fletcher's name Those two characters had really natural chemistry Ronnie Rowe has chemistry with everybody It's not a slight We saw Jamie Calica in a movie we did With Alonzo that was not great

[00:41:20] I don't remember the name of it but it was like A fashion Christmas or something But I think those two need their own movie I think a better movie With those two as the leads A more conventional movie

[00:41:32] I think would really work and I would love to see them Together again working on Hallmark Or another network for a Christmas movie I think that'd be great It's time for Fighting Chance with Vic Webster Were there any fights in this movie?

[00:41:46] I don't know it was a bit of a love triangle Sometimes I can get nasty They had it They had it I hate that we are coming to it With such a big, pretty high-end Man, I hate that we're coming to an end.

[00:42:23] For those in the audio world, that was just a shake it now. Shake it now. He is just absolutely crushing it. He's coming into his own now. The last six or seven, they've all been great. The last six or seven have all been just 10 of 10 no notes.

[00:42:37] I mean, unbelievable. It's all three on the board. Dan and I will be back tomorrow with a lifetime on court and then we're finally done. After however many days straights, this will be a sad tomorrow will be how many episodes days of seven, 14 days straight.

[00:42:54] There's a 13 straight days without us getting a break of any kind too many days. It's too many days and that's what 45 like 15 or 16 episodes and 13. Yeah, that's just that and under and under it's all three until they may be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas.
