[00:00:00] Hi, I'm Brandon. I love Disney plus Christmas movies Hi, I'm Jacks and I like Disney plus Christmas movies. Hi, I'm Alonso Disney plus is charging more per month for this. I'm Dan and it turns out I despise Disney plus Christmas movies
[00:00:19] And this is the deck the whole market You like this, dolly podcast Wow, wow, wow Fresh from Santa con I haven't taken this off. Yeah, I have not it smells I'm trying to keep at least six feet of distance here. It is brutal. I gotta be honest
[00:00:53] Super cozy is it super cozy? Yes. Nice and like what are you padded with? What do you mean? What do I pad it with? Were you asking? Was it a fat joke like what was it I was it I I'm or was it like what was it?
[00:01:13] The honest question, you know what I pack it with dare you ask All-brand baby It took under a minute 25 for us to go off the rails doing well doing doing Well Jackson-bear Christmas to you. How are you? How was Christmas con? I'm great
[00:01:37] I'm actually really surprised to see you guys here after everything that happened this weekend You're okay. We're fine Alonso so glad that yeah Recovered Christmas con was was was great and it's to be fair
[00:01:51] It was a holding sale and that restraining order is only for 14 days. I like and we're not playing going back to New York Anyway, we've over it's been overblown. I think outside of New York State doesn't even count The mayor still using his money for the good thing
[00:02:06] Alonso, how are you doing buddy? Good, you know, it was a weekend of FOMO with all the other Christmas con photos and all the all the you know The fighting chance with Vic Webster fans really, you know having their moment But yeah, it's fine. It's good
[00:02:23] I'm I am still I'm celebrating the season and the the tree is up and lit and so it's all very exciting And you don't get nurse of the year award by going to Christmas con you got to stay there you're in keep going at it
[00:02:36] Yeah, it is kind of part of the part of the job Year that deckie that we definitely give out Wasn't jeopardy had you gone to Christmas. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. You made the right right call It's between me and that sandwich from the hotel movie
[00:02:53] between you and Brendan Elliott from the Miss Miracle movie and He didn't do great Caretaker so yeah, that's actually not a bad idea Write that down right that down. Oh Man, I can't believe we're here where we're doing the Disney plus movie next week
[00:03:13] It is the Monday before Christmas is on a Monday, so we're not gonna do a Christmas Day episode I mean unless the people really want it But it's it'll be our last one of the year. Can you believe it?
[00:03:28] And we're gonna be heading over to Vix which I we have to find We don't have that yet. We got it. We got it for for that, but it's been a I don't know a slow a soft year out there outside of the Hallmark worlds
[00:03:44] Not a lot not a lot of what you said these movies have by and large Aside from the prime film have been not very good so far Although I will say one that we didn't review that I was saying to Alonso. I loved family switch with Jennifer Garner
[00:03:58] Yeah, I saw it. Yo, is that a Christmas movie? It's Christmas. So Jason. Yeah, and then it's like 13 going on 30 and Christmas Yeah, I'm hearing good things about Xmas What's Xmas what is that on the XMAS is on freebie It's on the list for next year
[00:04:18] Don't worry getting to it in 24. Yeah. Yeah, a lot of Robbie ML. Yeah. Believe it or not guys We only scratched the surface here at deck the homework this holiday season. Yes We've we've been doing all the homework movies 50 plus in two months a lot of lifetime
[00:04:35] We've we've hit all the big ones outside, but we didn't really do anything. I don't even know It's true. It's true that that is true All right, you guys ready to talk about this in time until when calls art season 11. That's true That's all we're all waiting on
[00:04:52] As a populace, I think that that's really it's a species humanity is just made it for that Yeah, yeah, I don't know if you saw on Instagram But Erin Craco posted that she has big news that she can't share yet
[00:05:06] So fingers crossed we're getting a season 12. Don't say it out loud. Don't say it out loud Is that even big news at the point like I Have stopped caring about season announcements with that show. I just assumed that it's going
[00:05:20] Works biggest hit show is being renewed shut up Yeah, I did ask Erin how long the show should go and she said told me 13 seasons. So Really? She said yeah, she didn't want to answer it first. She was like, oh, I mean
[00:05:32] I wanted to go I'm like just reasonably like how long do you think and this was like way back before we covered it I think like season eight or nine was starting and she a season eight
[00:05:41] I believe because it was before she had made we had started covering it at that point. Yeah Yeah, but we had not gotten to any of the other than love triangle stuff or anything like that 13 seasons We can find that audio. I
[00:05:53] Imagine her answers changed by now like now that you're close to 13 I imagine you move that out a little bit look that Canadian horse show is never going off the air So I don't see why when calls the hard
[00:06:04] What is that show it's called Canadian horse show Canadian horse show Yes, and somehow they're all on both Everybody is on the Canadian horse show and on when calls the heart Harry takes a lift
[00:06:17] From one soundstage to the other I haven't seen Canadian horse show. I'm not entirely convinced It's not when calls the heart just recuts like just moving stuff around And they they believe are they up the Canadian just a smidge but because it's Canadian
[00:06:34] You don't want anyone to be disappointed. Do you have any other if it's not season whatever? Renewed what any other big news you could think Maybe she's getting engaged to Ben Rosenbaum. Yeah, that would be huge news
[00:06:47] What about do you think do you think she her big the big news is Lori Lachlan are they gonna do you okay? Let me just say this up before we dive into the desert snow
[00:06:55] If she does come back will they announce it ahead of time. Yes. Oh, yeah Yeah, yeah Feature not a bug. Yes. Yes They're not gonna just have her pop up like it's me I wrote here Shall we talk about dashing through the snow?
[00:07:18] Disney Plus it originally aired a dropped I guess as the kids say on November 17th 2023 and it went a little something like this 30 years ago little Eddie goes to visit Santa asking
[00:07:31] For his parents to spend Christmas together because his dad is always gone Santa asked Santa hears this and Takes it in and says what is your address and Eddie doesn't really think anything of it. It's Santa
[00:07:42] So, of course you're gonna tell him his dad actually does come home for Christmas So when the mall Santa comes to steal all the presents because he thought that dad was not home He is surprised to be attacked by Eddie's dad
[00:07:57] Voice over Eddie explains that this is the last Christmas that they spent together as a family and because of that he hates Christmas cut the present day and Eddie has a daughter of his own and is a social worker
[00:08:09] And he's just the best at his job going above and beyond While he and his wife or I guess the ex I don't know are they there they're separated, but not divorced I believe yes
[00:08:21] And her name is Allison and they both love their daughter. They're doing the co-parenting thing She's spending spending some time with Eddie on Christmas Eve He goes next door to feed the neighbor's cat and he is shocked to find Santa stuck upside down in the chimney
[00:08:39] he helps him out and Is convinced that this guy is a robber Some trauma I think coming up there But it becomes pretty clear that Eddie He doesn't think that this guy is as well. So Somehow Santa as apparently he has an iPad
[00:08:59] He doesn't know how to access and there's also a few baddies that are out there I'll just drive it around so they get in that he's car and suddenly They start being chased off the road by the baddies
[00:09:09] They escape but the car breaks down that is when they get an Uber and when they get downtown Nick realizes that they are being followed again And so he runs into a club where everyone is dressed as Santa's is a good idea to avoid being seen
[00:09:23] That is until Nick gets on stage and starts singing a weird version of run run Rudolph Eddie and Charlotte join him Eddie starting to get in the Christmas spirit kind of like Dan right about now and
[00:09:37] So they're on stage are doing a whole thing and then they crowd surf their way out of the club The baddies are coming at them again Charlotte is convinced that Nick is Santa Eddie is not having it they then get a crowd
[00:09:52] Picked up by a family that is obsessed with Santa. They track them down They have a this whole system in the back Kind of like twister if you're looking for a twister, but the twisters name is Santa Claus there
[00:10:05] They're nice, but Santa does not stay with them long He jumps out of the van and goes into a warehouse that is apparently He has many warehouses scattered around the world that helped make the presence and all that stuff
[00:10:16] It's there that we finally find out that Santa was delivering presents to a congressman and He overhears his plan to steal from people that are in need he gets into a tussle and He mixes up the iPads that they have and so that's that's why we're here
[00:10:34] When Eddie finds out what happened He's mad because he's like you put me and my daughter at risk because the baddies so He believes that Eddie is just another robber
[00:10:45] So he calls the police, but it turns out that the police are also baddies and they hand Nick over to the Original baddies lots of baddies try to keep up But Eddie actually has the iPad now not Nick and he is able to get into the iPad and
[00:11:01] Realize that Nick has been telling the truth that Nick might be in trouble And so When he finds his childhood letter from Santa He believes that he is indeed the real Santa now it's time to track Santa back down They find him at the congressman's house
[00:11:18] He they finally believe and that now the reindeer are able to come because of the belief and all that good stuff The reindeer come in the reindeer beat up the bad guys pretty good
[00:11:28] They they get arrested and Santa goes on his way when Eddie and Charlotte show up at Allison's house She's not but buying this whole Santa nonsense, but luckily Santa shows up and yeah Allison believes pretty immediately
[00:11:44] That he is Santa and they spend Christmas together and that my friends was dashing through the snow We did it. Let's take a quick break. We'll come back. We'll break this movie down with four segments here on deck the hallmark
[00:12:01] Dan this time of year it can be harder than ever to find that perfect feeling that you get when everything just feels right when you're both Energized but also relaxed kind of like when you're in a nice warm shower for a long time. You just gotta

[00:12:40] And I also feel like I'm present at the same time micro dose gummies have changed how I manage my Well, and how I live my day-to-day life. Absolutely and if you want to give it a shot

[00:13:28] Star stud it Oscar from the office. So everyone who's anyone is in this movie. Let's talk about let's break it down Let's start with a hot take So we share exactly how he felt about this movie
[00:13:39] We do not hold back and I will start with you jacks jacks. What'd you think about? dashing through the snow So talking about anyone who's everyone in this movie. I still can't say her name Mary Lynn Raskin Ashkip
[00:13:53] I do just want to give a shout out to myself and my Filmography because I played her in an episode of celebrity ghost stories. She saw a ghost She thought I played her as a young woman seeing this ghost, you know, so you know enjoy
[00:14:14] I love how you had to describe that to us like that's not our favorite episode of celebrity Like we adore that like that is the most heralded performance jacks like that's very very like it's a lot of you
[00:14:32] I'm assuming you were the second person they asked to play Marilyn She narrates it Reenactment show these were in my glorious non-union days and oh, I bet you got paid
[00:14:48] Super well, yeah, I got $75 for a 12-hour day. Yeah, you got we got more to not be extras on USS We do 12 hour day for 108 bucks And leave show business each yeah each and we didn't get on a single frame
[00:15:06] I ate that and I ate that COVID sausage. It was a day. Yeah You got a hundred and eight dollars yeah Each of us each each each Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I feel like yeah, it was a long day and it was in New Jersey
[00:15:23] But anyway happy to carry on her legacy I'm I'm also very impressed with our girl Madison who plays Charlotte This is her second movie of the Christmas season. She was also the kid in best Christmas ever Big big year for her She's a little cutie
[00:15:43] And I am available if she ever wants to be coached by me, but I think she's got a lot of natural talent Hi Madison. I think this movie was alright. It was okay Ludacris is awesome
[00:15:59] I'm not a very big pop music person like all of my contemporaries love Taylor Swift I don't I don't think I could She's great, but I don't really know the song no Swifties like I love you. I'm not Careful
[00:16:17] I'm missing a pop culture chip so this was my first she's sick of the hubbub she's sick of the hubbub Taylor's all about herself She doesn't even want I totally I get this look I was that to explain to people Jax
[00:16:31] I don't really listen to music from this century Exactly exactly and it's so I this was my first real exposure to Ludacris and my goodness is he charming I thought he was really fun in this
[00:16:46] Fast and furious no, this was your first exposure to ludicrous. Okay guys legitimately Just like that Jax I gotta be honest with you I found out two years ago that's Taylor Swift I gotta be honest with you Jax the fact that this is your first
[00:17:18] Ludacris experience is ludicrous in and of itself. Yes, or is he or his ludicrous says in the movie? That's ludicrous He says that line in this movie I didn't know until after I watched the movie
[00:17:35] That it was him and I was watching it and I was like this guy's really charming I think you might have a movie on the scene Move ever get out of the movie called crash that one Academy award He's in a best picture winner Yeah
[00:17:58] Everything I should know about but don't is encapsulated in ludicrous Tickled by his performance As long as also with his chemistry with Nick. It was great. Yeah, I can't I honestly can't believe You admitted it I can't that's the thing is that I believe it
[00:18:22] Could I've spent enough time with you to believe that it's possible. I can't believe you admitted it Yeah, and then what I think honestly here's why I Had looked up because I was like, oh, this is the girl from best Christmas ever
[00:18:34] What's her name? So I looked up her name on the cast list you've seen more of her work than ludicrous And I was gonna remember her name to save the podcast so I went to look it up again
[00:18:46] I was like, oh who played Eddie and I was like it's ludicrous Literally This movie in between repeated viewings of waitress the musical at her local theater It's only there for a week Ludicrous wrapped on a Justin Bieber song I need
[00:19:17] Like I don't know. I don't know Bebes either. Oh my goodness. I couldn't name one. You know, baby What about the movie? You know, baby? Oh, baby, baby Oh I didn't know with him This is so funny because it's not it's not a bit at all
[00:19:39] I do wonder if it's a little bit of like a neuro divergent like Knowledge gap that I have no I'm on your page when it comes to pop music But the fact that we there have been ten fast and the furious movies not counting Hobbes and Shaw
[00:19:51] And you have seen none of them, but also I'm kind of impressed for those strings attached with Ashton Kutcher He's in that New Year's Eve the Gary Marshall movie from 12 years ago. He's in that I have seen that okay
[00:20:06] No one remembers that movie Daniel. Yeah, I know if they saw it. I know I did I had to look it up on IMDB. I'd forgotten for sure, but he's in it So oh he's in Jamie
[00:20:17] Worst movies I've ever seen so your review is ludicrous might have a future I Sensing big things for this You might have you might be on to something Alonzo Well, um, I had high hopes for this one because of ludicrous and because of low rel
[00:20:39] How are you even because of director Tim story who had a film earlier this year called the blackening that I thought was really Yeah Directed the barber shop movies like Fantastic for yeah, so this guy's been around this movie is terrible
[00:21:01] I mean it does not work at all I was I spent most of the movie just kind of cringing it what a giant waste of talent It is starting with the great Tiona Paris who's in the movie for like five seconds Barely used
[00:21:15] Mary Lynn Rashgub all these wonderfully talented people. She's gonna go. I don't know if you've heard I Know now I got to go dig this episode up This the script is such a hot mess I
[00:21:27] Couldn't like our dear friend sleepy kittypaw who really do tracks the Christmas movies in production not just hallmark But all of them there have been some iteration of announcements of this movie happening for like the last six or seven years
[00:21:42] Different cast attacks like it's been bouncing around and I suspect in all that time One Disney exec after another has kind of come in and put their fingerprints on it
[00:21:52] And so this script makes no sense at all things are told out of order for no good narrative reason But they just to sow confusion If you I mean we'll get into the way what's of this because even in a santa magic movie this movie has them
[00:22:08] Yeah, I was massively disappointed and then to top it off a couple weeks after I saw this Hallmark airs catch me a few claws which also involves Santa Claus getting caught on the job It's the same premise the same premise and done a good jillion times better
[00:22:26] So who would have ever thought that the hallmark version of something would be the go-to, but in this case it is Yeah by and large agree. I'm honestly shocked that I didn't love this movie
[00:22:39] It seems like it was made for me. It doesn't just kind of meander a lot it just kind of hangs out and we spend every scene feels long it just feels like it just hanging out and
[00:22:55] You're like, where are we going? And then they finally get to the thing they're doing and then they move on to the next thing Yeah, so I did absolutely disappointed in this movie probably the bigger biggest disappointment of the year for me
[00:23:07] because it just has all the makings of things that I would love and by and large Even the the humor Works early on and then you're finally you're just kind of like we do can we just do the thing?
[00:23:20] Like we just get going and so overall disappointed which I which I personally hate That's there's I would rather just dislike a movie than just it's like when your parents say I'm not mad I'm disappointed. She's like the worst
[00:23:33] Dan brand had to watch it with me because you see you can imagine When the lack of efficiency started to pile up how I was taking it Alonso D'Rolli said to us a week or two ago that
[00:23:44] This movie was the same exact premise as catch me if you clause a Neen and Wyman Swift written Hallmark movie and That that catch me if you cause was way better And I love Alonso and I trust his opinion and I just was like there's no way
[00:24:00] There is no way that a Hallmark movie with the same premise can be better than a Disney Plus budgeted movie with Ludacris, Tiana Paris, L'Oreal, Howie and Alonso was right and it's not even close I'm sorry. I you cut out for saying could you say that? Alonso was
[00:24:18] Right. Oh, thank you. It's not even guys Like this movie has nowhere to go and all day to get It is like before every scene the director went over to L'Oreal and he went how you doing good We're not sure if you're Santa Claus
[00:24:36] And then they said action He Santa can be a lot of things on a Christmas movie Santa cannot be unsure So so like Luke McFarlane is like I don't know all the Santa stuff yet. I'm still in training. That's great
[00:24:52] L'Oreal Howie is Howie is unsure of who he is what he is how he can do what he does from second to second in this movie and Not played for super great comedic effect it there are scenes that should take maybe a minute
[00:25:11] Where he and Ludacris take turns kind of Stumbling over words and looking around for three four five minutes. I This movie could have been a a short This movie could have been made in under 60 minutes
[00:25:26] And it is one of the biggest misuses of talent across the board that I have ever seen It is like a sketch show From a but then a bunch of different people got to film one segment of it It it barely makes narrative
[00:25:43] Shouldn't know how best Christmas ever does which is go for an hour ten and then let Ludacris perform Yes, let's do that Little rail has this thing he does so well where he kind of like gets himself in trouble
[00:25:55] This is when he acts and then he kind of ad-libs through a scene And he's the character ad-libbing and he's really funny And so when Santa shows up and he does that in the first scene I was like this is funny
[00:26:08] This is a funny bit to do and then once we get rolling Santa once he's got kind of ludicrous with him Santa's gonna start clicking and like to going through the paces and talking about the North Pole and blah blah blah
[00:26:21] And it never happens every scene with Santa he little rails doing this bit like well, you know I think I think you might have to believe in order for the reindeer to fly. I'm not We maybe we could go over
[00:26:34] I don't know why this iPad is not working and it's like what are we what are we doing? Like are these all of the out as this just did they edit all the stuff? They wanted out of the movie and then accidentally send that movie to print instead
[00:26:49] Like I couldn't I couldn't believe it I thought for all the world Alonzo's being too hard on this. I'm gonna give this a thumbs up I'm gonna have some Christmas spirit. No, no, no, no there are 15 hallmark movies this year better than this movie
[00:27:11] 15 this year better than this movie and that's maybe Being conservative. Oh Yeah, yeah, I can't believe you thought I was goose in the suit. You thought I was goose I thought you were goose in the suit. I'm sorry. You thought this was a goose suit
[00:27:31] I thought you were goose in the suit and that's on me. I apologize. We're close enough to where I should know You know, I wouldn't go you would you don't goose a suit. I don't goose a suit like for instance
[00:27:42] We were in those flight suits for that episode didn't go so you didn't goose it I didn't goose that one second. It did not like flatter you I would say but I don't think I'm not here to say that everything dies That's right But the two
[00:27:54] Well what you see is what you get and not goose that's right. It's time for all the feels Jax Are you gonna make a checks exactly Where Dan was insinuating the brand goose shit and I'm just I'm just putting all the pieces together
[00:28:17] So many things I'm reeling from I would say my biggest all the feels up is seeing ludicrous as I'm such a fan of his Long time First time I think that playing a character who's a crisis counselor is
[00:28:39] Actually a very interesting profession in this he comes across really well Watching him talk that guy literally off the ledge in the first scene. I was in my feels Seeing his relationship with his daughter get mended
[00:28:54] Him getting back together with his wife and then also at the end with our buddy Oscar Get so excited when he finally gets the present from Santa that he wanted as a kid There's a lot of weird stuff to unpack there
[00:29:05] But how he didn't get in then it ruined its life his life and blah blah blah, but I Thought it was really really cute. So those were some feels that I was having Alonzo
[00:29:15] I will say that we've seen so many of these movies where characters hate Christmas and the backstory for that is so flimsy this one I felt like okay if If if a guy for mall Santa breaks into your home
[00:29:29] And it's the last time and it's the last straw for your parents like flailing marriage Granted yes, you can hate Christmas. Yeah, and I thought that was the strongest part of this movie
[00:29:47] And I do think that about like a good chunk of the funniest parts are early on in this movie I found it to be very funny when when ludicrous big fan by the way turns around and
[00:30:03] Nick is upside down hanging from the chimney like that whole thing was very fine to me so the like I I There are funny bits in this movie But you really have to parse through it all to get there, but the funny stuff is funny
[00:30:18] So I'm not here to say that stuff is funny nailed it I Taiona Paris who plays ludicrous's wife in this movie she I was like who is that? I've seen her in other things. I looked her up and I found out
[00:30:33] I am originally from a very small town in South Carolina called Hopkins, South Carolina I don't think I've ever met anyone that I didn't grow up with that lived in Hopkins It is tiny and taiona Paris is from Hopkins, South Carolina
[00:30:47] She grew up there and got into the governor's school going to Laura Ritzon high school and when she was in like 10th or 11th grade And has made it all the way to Hollywood she made it and I was
[00:30:58] Fascinated and became an instant fan as someone that is was literally born and raised in the same town I was that was pretty cool. I never thought I would see anyone make it from Hopkins really anywhere So I was just two of you now That's true
[00:31:14] So that was all shing it that was really really cool to see and I was just like fascinated by that So there you go. Do you think that either you or her will get a
[00:31:23] Like a building industry? I think we're both in line for stars on the Walk of Fame Wow, and I don't want to say that too soon But I think you know and there's a walk of fame in Hopkins in Hopkins and in Hollywood
[00:31:36] No Hopkins we've already done that Yeah, I left my I get you get a boiled peanut and you just put it down and they Mad men you have a podcast
[00:31:48] Six to one half dozen the other and I would be even willing to say in a really close draw I would say she probably should get hers first
[00:31:57] You're a gentleman. Yeah, I don't right. Yes. Let's take a quick break. We'll come back with a way what in the What's been Disney see Here I'd like the whole mark Welcome back everybody. We're talking about
[00:32:21] Dashing through the snow Disney plus it's time for the way what is we're talking about one of this movie Let's go wait. What? Obviously, Jackson's was who wears this ludicrous guy been my whole life
[00:32:31] But aside from that did anything else take out to you as a way what? You know, the only thing I'm gonna offer is that Dan when you were giving your hot take I was feeling
[00:32:44] immense amounts of relief because I've been mentally a little bit all over the place. I miss my grandma I'm grieving there's a lot going on and I've had brain fog and I was watching this movie being like oh I'm not I'm not tracking this
[00:33:06] And I was like wait is he Santa is me Santa was going up to Dan when you were going through the hot take Because it is And so for me, you know, I actually like did enjoy parts of this The whole movie was a big yeah
[00:33:24] Think to your point like it is funny if we don't know if someone is Santa or not It is not funny if Santa doesn't know if he's Santa or not and I just the only way that I can explain
[00:33:35] That is is before every scene. It's like all right We ready on one and you don't know if you're saying an action like I like I don't like I don't know how else that happens
[00:33:46] Because I wasn't like this isn't a mystery from us. I was like, I don't think it's he okay Like is wrong yeah exactly that out because he's a crisis It all it always is when you said that I was just like alright
[00:33:57] I'm crazy and miracle in 34th. He is never he is never once doubting his Exactly Yeah Alonzo anyway, what's I'll tell you I grew up in the 1970s era of Disney movies
[00:34:16] So I don't have a high bar for like believable criminals, you know, like I came of age with like You know Caesar Romero in the in the Dexter Riley movies or you know Keenan win and her be right
[00:34:32] Again the nameless gangsters in the North Avenue are regulars so you know You know show you can carry like sacks with a dollar on the outside. I'm like sure yes, that's that's how crime works
[00:34:46] if you're gonna give me a corrupt congressman who keeps a list of his bribes on an iPad and senses henchmen out dressed as an Alpha gingerbread man and a nutcracker to go collect door-to-door bribery on Christmas Eve
[00:35:04] It's both no no, no this is it. This is a bridge too far We I cannot with this and so That just immediately took me out of this like even by the standards of live-action Disney goofy crime
[00:35:17] This this is a whole other level of no way that save cracker in no deposit No return was like absolutely locked on point for instance. I saw no deposit no return three times in the theater I love that
[00:35:33] Okay, I thought you were just going through IMDB and no Loved it a watching him crack the safe and click it over Big fan masks everything. Yeah, it's a fun movie. But yeah, this is just like no. I'm sorry That this is too much Yeah, is that it
[00:35:52] Yes, great I Don't even like this movie enough to dig deep I have a couple I have a couple the time frame of this movie is a cluster Because when he goes to do it all in one that's not even the difficult part of this movie
[00:36:14] When he goes next door To feed the cat and interacts with Nick for the first time There is a clock on the wall the clock says 9 30 and I'm like great. I know what time it is. I don't I
[00:36:27] Get more confused as the movie goes on they're doing a lot obviously We find out via a phone call that he was supposed to have her own by 8 30 I don't know man. I don't know what is what and I don't know if that's Christmas magic
[00:36:40] I don't know. I don't know what time is in this movie But it I don't think it's this is how it works, but again We should just do one time for time zone and then I think is a set of one time so there's right now Yeah, well
[00:36:55] And in this time zone Santa is going down chimneys at 9 30 at night. Yes You know the best case it's 9 30 But if it's before 8 30 because that's when he's supposed to have her home that means it's saying I was going on chimney
[00:37:12] I don't know in the seven o'clock hour like Look, you know that I I tend to not think Santa has a lot of credibility and I'm sorry about that I'm just not a believer, but I can guarantee that if Santa is real
[00:37:27] He is not going down a chimney when prime-time television is He is not he can't People will be up the jig will be up can't do that He starts with the houses of people that he knows are gonna be on vacation except that when people are vacation
[00:37:42] Santa's supposed to know where they are He was at the congressman's house before that right. Yes, he was delivering presents there probably like with the seven o'clock news. Yeah It's ridiculous The Sun was still out Sign up for an early bird Santa. I didn't
[00:38:03] Know some option. I did see early birds saying alive and they were fantastic when he is at the congressman's house For Christmas Eve dinner He puts on some music and I believe it's a Christmas version of whoop there it is Oh, yeah, I can't be certain
[00:38:19] But I am like 99% sure of it and I need it Those holes gotta show them up Christmas Last but not least such a kick out of one say actually Capture Nick they bring him to the congressman's house. They track down that family that you know track Santa and
[00:38:40] They're looking at a radar screen, you know like the best like military grade Radar screens submarine They're like where do you think Santa is and they're like eyeball on it the congressman's house I
[00:38:58] This is either Google Maps or it's a radar they can't be both of those things They're looking at the screen and there's no streets on it Nothing and the and the signature is at least the size of like a half dollar And they're like that
[00:39:15] Represents the congressman's house. Yeah, well then you sir have a map of one neighborhood. Yeah That's what you have Yeah, we find out very late in this movie told completely narratively out of order that the reason all this happened is because Santa went into the
[00:39:32] Congressman's house and he has two iPads and they look alike both without covers on them Monsters just trying to get him in just broken and he looks and he's like and he takes one and he just flings the other one
[00:39:46] Just take both iPads. Yeah, if you don't know take both and when you realize which one is right important night You need to take both. Yeah, the reason he's got a hurry is because they're about to come in there
[00:39:56] So take both leave and then just pop just pop down the chimney and you're good to go there It is movie over We also find out that this Santa has been Santa for almost 1500 years
[00:40:12] So you could have made little rel how he's performance make more sense if he was like a new Santa, right? But he's not a new Santa. He's been Santa for a thousand and a half years
[00:40:25] In 1500 years and and he's still very unsure if that's what his job is a lot of this movie I would say the middle third happens because they call ludicrous calls a cab and in Atlanta
[00:40:40] You would you would just lift or uber or anything other than calling a cab company? You just wouldn't you wouldn't do it. I don't understand Santa continues to try to unlock the iPad over and over again my man
[00:40:56] You've been locked out for centuries that they have locked you out a long time ago Maybe the biggest leap of this movie is is that Santa's reindeer remote control is paired by Bluetooth and only responds if ludicrous has Christmas spirits What you know Why?
[00:41:21] Why are they like my car remote stop Bluetooth and also if you're counting then how is it work before now? It ludicrous hasn't ever had Christmas spirits. It's a kid It's like well, we can't really get this show on the road until ludicrous believes
[00:41:36] You can only open your car if your passenger really wants to go with you. That's right. Yeah Tim Allen being like I can't do anything until Judge Reinhold believes
[00:41:47] What's going on here? Yeah, there's nothing I can do. We're at an impasse head comes to a point. That's right We're gonna get more the sweaters when the circus pulls out of town. That's all I got
[00:41:59] It's time for what you come up with this was a good one Disney Disney Disney see me just something this what the hallmark guys So I will try to fool I swear we wonder what could have been maybe have a good some clear questions to laugh
[00:42:14] Jax, what are you still wondering about? Yeah, I think that you guys have already you know touched on this but I want to see a movie where Version of this movie even where Teona Paris was actually like number two or three in the call sheet
[00:42:28] Well, I think one honestly. Yes like yes, please I I just Think it could have been you know something that we talked about that worked Really well with oh my gosh. What was last week's movie that I loved
[00:42:46] Can again late can you hear is that you know, it's that these these two really incredible actors Who are like bantering and really both doing it? It's not just the Eddie Murphy show and I don't know why they wasted this woman's talent her line about the ombre beard
[00:43:04] Was one of the probably the funniest line in the movie for me So yeah, I would love to see a version of this or just give her her own Christmas movie next year, please and thank you Lonzo what are you still wondering about?
[00:43:16] Yeah, mine is also Teona Paris focus, which is I know the marvels was a disappointment But I would have much preferred if her character had wound up actually being an undercover Monica Rambo and you know they could have I don't know
[00:43:31] sent Santa into space or you know like brought in miss Marvel or you know heck Transfer the whole thing to the set of Wanda vision and turn it into a TV special I don't know if there's any you could any number of ways
[00:43:46] You could have gone any of them would have been better than what they wound up with this movie Doesn't do a lot that makes sense. They have though for reasons. I don't know decided to introduce a Entirely new theory on how Santa does what he does
[00:44:04] This is my which is where houses spread out around the world satellites, which is like really really great That's a cool idea. They have come up with something and they're like here's son Should we flesh it out more now? No, no
[00:44:21] Make everybody in there look elf adjacent like like Stefan is going to a club in New York We got that one guy from entourage dressed like he's from Alice in the Wonderland in Wonderland great bucket what
[00:44:33] But it's like it's a great idea. They just didn't do anything with it Like there's so many things that you can pull from that but while just that entire idea Like give me more of this was mine I would like if you're gonna do any more of this
[00:44:47] Let's visit another city and see what that is like Yeah, I would I don't want the movie we got or a sequel at all But the satellite operation makes a lot of sense license
