Back in 2006, we meet Charlotte and Austin. They're star-crossed lovers in the classic "we're from different worlds" trope. They sneak out of their respective houses, walk through the snow, and make their way to the horse stables for some moody, teenage romance. They kiss, they swear eternal love, they give each other gifts like a necklace and a horse book. Suddenly, Austin's dad shows up like a human snowstorm of bad advice, telling him to just join the Navy. Charlotte is going to forget all about him and he'll be better for it.

Fast-forward to the present, and guess what? Dad was right. They did go their seperate ways. Austin is now running her familes estate. Their grandma died and left her estate and the family businesses to three siblings who couldn’t be more different if they tried: Charlotte, the ambitious New Yorker; Henry, the mafia-adjacent sibling with questionable life choices; and Benedict, the fancy one with a fancy girlfriend and an even fancier fake accent.

Cue Rachel Boston, who rolls up to the estate playing Annie Markel, the estate planner who is giving Mary Poppins. She has a purse that is full of contracts instead of candy and umbrellas, and she’s here to stir the pot. The siblings are suspicious.

But Rachel Boston, being the MVP that she is, wins them over with her expert grief counseling and unsolicited life advice. She's basically the motivational speaker your mom would hire for a family reunion. She's Matt Foley but with a car instead of a van. She also makes them decorate the house because Christmas.

Austin and Charlotte reconnect when he shows her that he’s still a horse-riding, stable-owning stud. He apologizes for ghosting her for the Navy. Charlotte's all, "No hard feelings, because if you hadn't left, I wouldn’t have met my ex and had Cody, who’s the center of my universe."

As the family drama unfolds, the siblings realize the board is about to vote someone in who isn’t them. They work together to figure out how to make sure that doesn't happen. Amidst the chaos, they find old memories—Henry sobs about their parents' tragic death, Benedict uncovers an old engagement ring, and Charlotte suddenly realizes, "Hey, I still love Austin!" after seeing him bond with Cody.

Then, in a classic holiday move, the brothers chop down a Christmas tree together and decorate it while debating what grandma’s wishes might have been. They decide to throw a Moorehouse Christmas gathering, hoping Aunt Eloise has a crystal ball or some insight. Spoiler: she doesn’t.

Things heat up when Austin and Charlotte almost kiss, but an unexpected TUBA performance and a random holiday football touchdown stop them in their tracks. Because romance.

Then—because we needed more drama—Cody goes missing. The entire family, along with Rachel Boston, turns into a snow-covered search party. Henry gets roughed up by a mafia guy who threatens to cut off his fingers. But hey, Cody’s fine, and Rachel Boston finds him by the stables, where he asks her where her angel wings are. She laughs and says they’re hidden, which is both adorable and cryptic.

Cue Benedict’s fancy British fiancée showing up for the Christmas party, because, of course, the plot thickens. Charlotte and Austin decide to try this whole love thing again. Just as things are looking up, Austin gets a job in Maine. He’s got to leave, but Charlotte, being the understanding goddess she is, lets him go.

But Rachel Boston? Oh, she’s got a little holiday magic up her sleeve. She figures out a way for all three siblings to be on the board, with only one seat as chairman. Charlotte gets the coveted spot and rushes to tell Austin before he leaves. She wants to go with him and get Cody enrolled at the school, while she’ll work remotely. They share a kiss in the barn from Ride.

Rachel Boston dips out, her job done, and leaves the family better than she found them, even though that wasn't actually that hard.

[00:00:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I love Hallmark Christmas Movies! I'm Brian, I like Hallmark Christmas Movies. I'm Dan and I despise Hallmark Christmas Movies and this is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast. Deck The Hallmark gets this podcast. We hope you like this jolly podcast. I liked whoever that guy was at the beginning.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_06]: This is... What's your name? It's me, Derek Ohula. Yes, I thought you might be. Derek, how are you? I'm doing great, Brian. Merry Christmas. They come around the third turn. We're almost to the end of a big week. Are you doing a race right now? It's Mrs. Miracle by a nose. It's 90s Christmas by a neck. Are you doing a race? Where are you? And they're coming around turn full.

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_06]: So, but are you might think there are only four turns, but there's at least six. Hold on tight. It's a... It's like a Grand Prix. Yeah! Love that guy. Thanks, Derek. Derek out. Dan, how are you, buddy? I'm doing great, man. How about you? Great to see you today. What day of the week is it, by chance? What day is today? It's Wednesday. It's Wednesday. Oh yeah, it's Wednesday. Sure is. Which is always exciting. We love Wednesdays. We love Wednesdays. For a lot of reasons. We love Wednesdays around here. We love Wednesdays for a lot of reasons.

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_06]: And you have the list? Yeah. Do you pull it up? Yeah, absolutely. What do we love about Wednesdays, Brian? It rhymes with so many words. So many words. We like that. We like that you can go to buy our game on Wednesday. Yeah. It's a big game day. We're talking about Christmas movie match. That's the one. We're three days out from the parade in Greenville, South Carolina. Well, let's not bypass the game too quickly, Dan. DecktheHomework.com slash game. There we go. The parade, you're right about that. That's this weekend. That's what we can look at. That's the point set up. Thursday, Friday.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Three days away. You should come to Greenville, South Carolina and watch the parade. Join 15,000 plus people in watching the best small town parade in America. I said it. I said it. And come say hi to us. We gladly say hi to you. We love talking to you. Come do that. It's the Saturday? Yeah. Saturday. What time is it? 6. 6 p.m.?

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_06]: We're going to have a lot of fun is what we're trying to say. So come hang out with us. We're going to work. And now the Clemson's in the ACC championship game. I would be willing to bet dollars to donuts. That thing's done before 8. For a second, they weren't. And the parade people were like, yay. And then they were. And it was like, no, no. We're up against them. The poinsettia parade will be running like clockwork. And everyone will vanish as soon as it is over. That's tough. That's tough. It's the nighttime game? 8 o'clock. Yeah, it's an 8 p.m. start. You're going to be okay? I'll be fine. Yeah. We'll be

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_06]: done. We'll be done. They're going to be done before 8. I guarantee you. Oh, yeah. You're going to like the way you look. Guarantee it. Guarantee it. That's right. Also, a quick reminder to everybody out there that if you're not watching us on Philo, this is the time to do it. Philo.tv slash DTH. There's so much great stuff on Philo. It's not just Hallmark Christmas movies. No. So many other different types of Christmas movies. It's an app that I open up on a nightly basis and go, what am I going to watch tonight? So many options. You can kind of let Philo take the wheel there. Philo take the wheel. Unlimited DVR.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Pick a movie for me. Will it be Hallmark or other? You ever open that up and see yourself and just get hung up on that for a while? Sometimes you get into the bridge and it gets out of hand. Yeah, that happens too, but whatever. Shall we talk about Debbie McComber? As long as it's a joyful Mrs. Miracle. It is a joyful Mrs. Miracle. That's what we prepared for. She's joyful this time, everybody. All the other Mrs. Miracle movies?

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_06]: She hates them. She hates them. She's not happy. Not joyful. Let's talk about it. November 28th, 2024 is when it premiered on the Hallmark Channel and it went a little something like this. We're back in 2006 and if you wanted to, you could listen to Reliant K's Christmas album. That's right. Now you could for sure. We meet Charlotte and Austin. They are star-crossed lovers. I don't know what it was. Was that Goodbye, My Lover by James Blunt? Yes, it was. Had that even come on?

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Star-crossed lovers. Star-crossed lovers. Beautiful. Star-crossed friends. Miracle. It's true. I saw your car in the driveway.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_06]: It's halfway. It's like a Romeo and Juliet type thing. They're from different worlds. They sneak out of their houses. They go and meet in the snow. They buy the horse stables. It's moody. It's teenagers and they kiss. And then they say, we're going to love each other forever. And they exchange gifts to prove those.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, your old Infinity Necklace and then also horse book. Suddenly, Austin's dad shows up and is like, hey, man, you got to join the Navy and you should do that because this girl here, she's going to forget about you so fast.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. But the Navy is forever. Fast forward to the president. Guess what? Dad was actually right. He might have seemed like he was not, but they did go their separate ways. Charlotte did forget all about him.

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_06]: But Austin is now back and he is running the family estate. Their grandma died. Charlotte and her brother's grandma. They're not together.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_06]: And so and left her estate and the family business to the three siblings who couldn't be more different if they tried. You got Charlotte, who's the ambitious New Yorker, fresh off a separation.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Henry, the I don't know, mafia adjacent sibling with some questionable life choices. And then Benedict Cumberbatch, the fancy one with the fancy girlfriend.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Benedict? Yes. Benedict Cumberbatch.

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Threw a T on the end of that for the love of God. Benedict. Thank you.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_06]: The fancy guy with the fancy girlfriend. Benedict Cumberbatch. That's exactly right. And the fancy fake accent. The good doctor.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes. Thank you. Cue Rachel Boston, who rolls up to the estates and she is Annie Markle. Can I do that?

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_06]: The estate planner, who is giving Mary Poppins, as the kids might say, that giving Mary Poppins is that's for the people that are listening to us in art class.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Right now. I'm trying. I'm trying. Now that I know that we have like kids listening, I'm trying to be hit.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_06]: DM us. Let us know what that means. She's giving Mary Poppins.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_06]: She has a purse that is full of fun stuff like contracts instead of candy and carrots and whatnot.

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_06]: The siblings are very suspicious of her.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_06]: But Rachel Boston, being the most valuable miracle that she is, wins them over.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Dude, I was up for most valuable miracle.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_06]: You were.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_06]: You were.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_06]: It was rigged, dude.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Wow.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_06]: That's unbelievable.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_06]: That's tough.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_06]: She wins them over with her expert grief counseling and unsolicited life advice that you think wouldn't work on somebody, but it comes from her.

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_06]: It works.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_06]: She basically is like a motivational speaker that your family would hire for a family reunion.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_06]: She's Matt Foley.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_06]: She's Matt Foley, but with a car instead of a van.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_06]: She also makes them donate the deck.

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry, not donate.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_06]: They're not donating the house.

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_06]: They're decorating the house.

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_06]: We're going to donate the house.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_06]: We're going to donate.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Wait, wait, wait, wait.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Decorate the chairman of the board.

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Austin and Charlotte reconnect, and he shows her that he's still a horse riding, stable owning son of a gun.

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_06]: He apologizes for ghosting her for the Navy.

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you say horse?

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Come again?

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you say horse?

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Wrigley.

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I did.

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I did say horse.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_05]: You did?

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Wrigley, how are you?

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm doing awesome.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Merry Christmas, buddy.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, it's been a long time.

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_05]: It has been a long time.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_06]: What can people expect around the holidays at Fitzy's?

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, so many fun times.

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes.

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_06]: We have our toilet bowl party.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_06]: You've been invited six years in a row.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I have.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And you decline every year.

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, you do always do it.

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And that stings, and it hurts personally.

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_06]: You always compete with the poinsettia parade, and I'm always going to pick the greenwood

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, yeah, but you can come afterwards.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Our party goes all night.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't know that.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, you got Clemson now.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Stank's going to be behind the bar flipping drinks.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_06]: He flips them over.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_06]: He's a prank.

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_06]: He plays.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_06]: You order a drink.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_06]: He stopped by.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_06]: I know how I feel about him, too.

[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_06]: He flips the drinks.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_05]: He's ruined many trousers.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Brian was out there last Thursday.

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I was shocked to see him.

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Just a little warm up.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Just a little warm up.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Sang three karaoke songs in a row.

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Back to back.

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he did.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Wow.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I was so honored by that.

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_06]: You're a little horse.

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Horse book, a great gift.

[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Infinity necklace underwhelming.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_06]: There you go.

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to hear it.

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_06]: You said it.

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Are there any drink specials at Fitzy?

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_06]: So many drink specials.

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Give me one.

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_06]: There's a Yuletide mashup.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_06]: What's that?

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a Yuletide mashup.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_06]: You know Blue Curacao?

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Sure.

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a whole bottle of that with a bucket of mashed potatoes.

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Do you pour it in, the mashed potatoes?

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Or do you do it separately?

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_06]: You bet your sweet bottom you do.

[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_06]: So are the mashed potatoes blue?

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they are.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Blend that up.

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_06]: There's a Yuletide mashup.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I've got to be honest.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Dust Drake, you've heard of?

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And you still won't come down to the toilet bowl.

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Write that down.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Now I might.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_06]: That sounds like a good time.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll be there.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_06]: All right.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll see you later, buddy.

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Stank Young Christmas.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Stank Young Christmas to you.

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, where was I?

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, Austin is still a horse riding, stable owning son of a gun.

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_06]: He apologizes for ghosting her for Navy.

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_06]: And Charlotte's all like, no big deal.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_06]: I got to be honest with you.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_06]: It's just Navy.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I would have, you know, not been into you anywho.

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_06]: But also, if it wasn't for you ghosting me for Navy, I would never have met my ex.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I would never have had Cody.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody's the best.

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_06]: We love Cody.

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_06]: There's some family drama.

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_06]: There's some family drama that's going on here.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_06]: The siblings realize that the board is about to vote someone in who isn't them.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And so they work together to figure out, well, it should be one of us.

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_06]: It should be one of us.

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_06]: It should be one of us.

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_06]: One of us.

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_06]: But who should it be?

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Knocking at my door.

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_06]: It's the board.

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_06]: You better give us a choice.

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Then, in a classic Christmas movie move, they have to go and they have to chop down a big old tree and decorate it while debating what grandma wishes who would have been the guy.

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_06]: They decide to throw a Christmas gathering, hoping that their Aunt Eloise has a crystal ball for some inside.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_06]: On who should be board member, she does not.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_06]: But we love a Christmas party, don't we?

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Things heat up when Austin and Charlotte almost kiss, but an unexpected tuba performance pulls them away.

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Because sometimes you hear the tuba and you say, I gotta stop for tuba.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_06]: I gotta stop for tuba.

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Then we get more drama.

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody's missing.

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_06]: The entire family, along with Rachel Boston, shows up to try to find him.

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Right before they go to find him, Henry gets roughed up by the mob.

[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_06]: And they're like, hey, we're gonna kill you.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_06]: We're gonna end your life.

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_06]: You owe us money.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_06]: All this good stuff.

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_06]: But they're like, hey, man, don't worry about it.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, Cody's okay, guys.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody's okay.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, is he where he's been all movie?

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_06]: At the stables?

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_06]: It's unbelievable.

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_06]: He's at the stables.

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Nobody checked there, huh?

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Terrible parents.

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_06]: We're good to go.

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Cut to Benedict Cumberbatch's fancy British fiancé showing up for Christmas party.

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Because, of course, why not?

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Charlotte and Austin decide to try this whole love thing again.

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_06]: They're really heating up.

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_06]: And just as things are looking up, Austin gets a job in Maine.

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_06]: So maybe they're not gonna try this after all.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_06]: He's gonna leave.

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_06]: But Charlotte, being so understanding, it's just like, it's gonna be okay.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_06]: I have a feeling they're gonna work out.

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_06]: So Rachel Boston, you might be wondering what's up with her.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Not much, actually.

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_06]: But she's got a little holiday magic up her sleeve.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Remember the whole board seat situation?

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Sure do.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_06]: She comes up.

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_06]: There's a little bit of magic.

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And they decide, hey, why not all three of us?

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_06]: It's right.

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_06]: They've been right there the whole time.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_06]: We get a big seat.

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And we get all six.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a big seat.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Just a big table.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_06]: But only one person can be the chairman.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Big week.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Only one person can be the chairman.

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And you would think with how contentious the whole thing had been up to this point,

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_06]: that would have been a bigger conversation.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_06]: It's not.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_06]: They go with Charlotte.

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's exciting.

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_06]: She goes and she tells Austin how she feels and all that good stuff.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And they want to go because Cody likes horse.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Loves horse.

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And she can work anywhere.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_06]: And so that's pretty good.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_06]: They kiss as the snow falls outside the barn.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Rachel Boston's done her job.

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_06]: She goes to deuce out early, once again, for the kids out there.

[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Her job is done.

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And leaves the family better than how she found them, as Mrs. Miracle is prone to do.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Except in this case, it honestly wasn't that hard because this family kind of sucked to begin with.

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_04]: And that, my friends, was Debbie McComber.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_06]: She's trying to show the Christmas miracle.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_06]: So do we want to say Debbie McComber?

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Debbie McComber.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Gilmer.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Nancy Nagel.

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Joyful Mrs. Miracle.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_06]: I think we can get sued.

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_06]: It's Debbie McComber.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_06]: It's not Nancy Nagel.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's take a break.

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Street pipe.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Can you imagine?

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, would watch.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_06]: On Netflix.

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_06]: You'd have to get through something.

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_06]: We'll be right back.

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_06]: We did a full clip and everything.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's on a t-shirt, actually.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_06]: It probably is.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Bran, the thing that my parents love to get as a gift more than anything else is pictures of their grandkids.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_06]: And while that may seem free, texting those photos over and over again has storage implications and all sorts of other problems.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_06]: But ever since my parents got a skylight frame, it's been a game changer.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Because no matter where I am, no matter what I'm doing, they can get updated pictures of their grandkids year round.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right, Dan.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's not just a gift for your grandparents.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_06]: It could be a gift for yourself as well.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I have a skylight frame in my house.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And let me tell you, it is amazing.

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Not only is it easy to use.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_06]: The setup only took like 60 seconds tops.

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_06]: It also is just really great.

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Because you can throw any picture that you want to through the free skylight frames app.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_06]: And the photos will just show up and they will automatically scroll through.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_06]: It looks beautiful in your home wherever you have it.

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_06]: We have it right on this entryway as you walk in.

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_06]: It's on this table.

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_06]: And you get to see pictures of our family.

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's really nice.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_06]: There's two different sizes to choose from.

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_06]: The original 10-incher or you can get a larger 15-incher if you would like to do that as well.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'll just say this.

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I think it's better than social media.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Say it's crazy.

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I like this as a way that I can keep my parents and my loved ones updated on what my family's been up to.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_06]: And it just kind of shows up in their house.

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a wonderful gift.

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And here's the thing, Dano.

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_06]: I think we got ourselves a little bit of a deal.

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Sure, dude, Brandon.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_06]: It's getting better right now.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_06]: A special limited time offer for our listeners.

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Get $20 off your purchase of a Skylight Frame when you go to skylightframe.com slash deck.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_06]: That's S-K-Y-L-I-G-H-T-F-R-A-M-E dot com slash deck.

[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Get $20 off your purchase now at skylightframe.com slash deck.

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I hope it's got Brame going again over there.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, everybody.

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Welcome back.

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_06]: W McComber's Joyful Mrs. Christmas is what we're talking about today.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought that.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_06]: It was a miracle.

[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Synopsis was good enough.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, sure.

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I think.

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_06]: It was solid, man.

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, covered all the bases.

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's break it down.

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's share our thoughts on it.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_06]: We're going to start with a hot take as we're going to share exactly how we felt about this movie.

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Brian, what did you think about Debbie McComber's Joyful?

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Mrs. Miracle.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I was not super amped for this one at all, but I ended up enjoying it a good bit.

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I had a pretty good time.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I liked it, I would say.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I never know what you're going to say.

[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what you're going to say.

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_06]: It's just like whatever he should say, he sits on it a little bit and he's like, yep, direct opposite.

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Yep, there you go.

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going direct opposite.

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Whatever it is, I'll just do the opposite.

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so I didn't like it?

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so we liked it.

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_03]: We liked it.

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I did not expect to like it at all.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And I thought it had a lot of sweet moments.

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I did like the siblings together.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_03]: The conflict was dumb and they didn't talk about it once.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_03]: They didn't really sit down and have a conversation, which they should have done night one, morning one, whatever.

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's start this fight now.

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_03]: They didn't.

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_03]: They just never started that conversation.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Rachel Boston's energy was perfect in this role.

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe that's why I liked it as much as I did.

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_03]: She just carried this thing and she was a blast in all of her advice and sage wisdom ahead of her time, I would say.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Mrs. Miracle there.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_06]: There's been like a thousand Mrs. Miracle movies.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_03]: But Rachel Boston in this role, she's more wise than she should be, I feel like.

[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And it just really worked for me.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_03]: She's more wise than Mrs. Miracle should be?

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Than Rachel Boston as Mrs. Miracle.

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it doesn't feel like she's lived a long life as Mrs. Miracle.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_03]: You know?

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_06]: No, she's a young Mrs. Miracle is what you're saying.

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_03]: She's wiser than she is.

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks Hallmark.

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_03]: But she was perfect in it and she made it a joy to watch for me.

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_06]: So Rachel Boston is the star of this movie.

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_06]: She elevates it.

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought that she was a wonderful Mrs. Miracle.

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought she was great.

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_06]: And I've got to be honest with you, I wish that there was more Rachel Boston because when she's on the screen, I'm like.

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_06]: She's not on it a lot.

[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_06]: That's my thing.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_06]: What we are left with is a family that I just don't give two hoots about.

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't give a hoot or a hoot.

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_06]: One.

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Not even one.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Half a hoot.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Half hoot.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll give half hoot.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Wow.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll give half hoop.

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_03]: That's something.

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_06]: That's mainly for Cody.

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_06]: For Cody.

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And that sweater.

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And that sweater.

[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody crushing that sweater.

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Agent Cody Banks.

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_06]: So, man, can we watch that?

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Aaron, can we watch Agent Cody Banks?

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Approved?

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_03]: The boy approves?

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_05]: It's good.

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Not good.

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_05]: It's okay.

[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_06]: This is a tough one because I can trick myself into being like, I actually like this movie a good bit.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_06]: But all of that tricking is just because Rachel Boston was so delightful.

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_06]: The overall story, the family, the fight for board seat, I don't care.

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_06]: I just don't care about that at all.

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_06]: And there just wasn't enough here for me to cling on to and root for this family and root for Austin and Charlotte.

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Or I just, I couldn't, I didn't, I didn't find it in me to be like, yay, Charlotte and Austin.

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Yay, the horse situation.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_06]: None of that was like cheer worthy for me.

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And so as I've said many times on this show, if I'm rooting for the couple, it's going to elevate it.

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_06]: And unfortunately, I just didn't care about them.

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't care about the family.

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't care about the board.

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_06]: I did care about Rachel Boston.

[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought she was a wonderful Mrs. Miracle.

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Given Mrs. Miracle and maybe a more traditional, just a love story movie or something, I maybe would have liked it more.

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_06]: But as is, just an okay for brand.

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_06]: But listen, there's 40 something of these.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_06]: There's going to be some of these.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_06]: There's going to be some of these that are just okay.

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's okay with me.

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Dano?

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Not okay with me.

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_06]: This movie sucks.

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_06]: I believe it was Emily Boyd in the chat said this is succession, but Christmas.

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_06]: And that makes this movie even worse, Emily.

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, that sounds like a blast, what you're talking about.

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_06]: The problem, there are numerous problems here.

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Number one, this whole board thing.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_06]: I told Brian, you could put me on a lie detector test.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_06]: There's no way I could possibly care less about who gets this board seat.

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_06]: It is ridiculous.

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_06]: The Cody of it all is ridiculous.

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Come on in, guys.

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Hook him up.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Hook him up.

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_06]: That's your bad.

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's ask him some other questions, too.

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_06]: The love story is really, really bad in this.

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_06]: And then you guys both talked about Rachel Boston.

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_06]: It is my favorite Rachel Boston performance.

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_06]: I think she's great as Mrs. Miracle.

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_06]: But the problem is, is we saw a Mrs. Miracle movie in 2021 with Caroline Ray as Mrs. Miracle.

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_06]: And I thought Caroline Ray was a better Mrs. Miracle than Rachel Boston is in this movie.

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And so even the thing that we're talking about as the saving grace or shining star of this movie represents a downgrade from what it once was.

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_06]: This movie's boring.

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_06]: It's dead on arrival.

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_06]: There's nothing to pull for.

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_06]: And not even the charm of Rachel Boston clearly having a blast in this role can save it.

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_06]: It's so boring, guys.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_06]: It's not five gold rings boring.

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_06]: It has a pulse.

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_06]: But it is down in the bottom ten of my list.

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_06]: An unfortunate situation here.

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Not great at all.

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_04]: It's time for all the feels.

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_04]: We're talking about what this movie gave us feels.

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Brian?

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_03]: The scene where Eloise was sitting with the siblings and sort of recounting to them what the grandmother said about each of them, I thought was really, really nice.

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And probably really great to hear as he...

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_01]: You getting choked up just like you were.

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_01]: It's really good to me.

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I wonder what my grandparents would have said.

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Rest in peace.

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously.

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, yeah.

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know that they were dead, but I just got...

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I took a stab at it.

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_03]: You got one.

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I do.

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow.

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_03]: She's crushing it.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03]: That's awesome, man.

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Good for you.

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And Cody's reindeer sweater, obviously.

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: That thing was phenomenal.

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody's sweater crushed it.

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody's headphones.

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Great headphones.

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Nice head.

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_03]: He had it going on.

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Cody's got...

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_03]: His overall fit?

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_06]: His overall fit.

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Once again, for the folks in our class.

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_06]: For the folks in our class.

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_06]: The fit Cody was rocking.

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Crushed.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_06]: If they make that an adult, I'd rock it.

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_06]: If they make that an adult.

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_06]: If they make the fit an adult.

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody's fit, but adult.

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_06]: But adult.

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_06]: If I could put it on my Pinterest board.

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_06]: What?

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Who are you?

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I would.

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't say Alexa.

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't call her that.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, when Rachel Boston shows up and once again was giving Mary Poppins...

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_06]: She's giving Mary Poppins.

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_06]: This movie is giving bad movie.

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_06]: But...

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_06]: What were you trying?

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I was trying to...

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_06]: She was trying to drink the whole thing.

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_06]: A little drunk came out.

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_06]: A little drunk.

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Drink 16 ounces of Fiji.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Look at me.

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_06]: You started about 11 this morning.

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody could have had three of those by now.

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll get that later.

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Rachel Boston, when she comes in, I was hooked from the very beginning.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought she was crushing it.

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_06]: And so anytime she was there, I was happy.

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Dano?

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Nothing.

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's take a quick break.

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back here on Dano Hallmark.

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Dano Hallmark.

[00:22:52] Big week.

[00:22:53] Big week here.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Booty dookabada ba-doop-ba-doop.

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm a drummer boy.

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's all right as a drummer boy rendition.

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_06]: But you know what is amazing?

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_06]: What's that?

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_06]: For King & Country's cinematic performance of Drummer Boy in their concert film that you

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_06]: can find for one week only in theaters nationwide.

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_06]: You're going to have a better time going to that.

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right, Dano.

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_06]: The Little Drummer Boy Cinematic Experience is coming to theaters.

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_06]: 1,200 of them.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_06]: So chances are there's one near you.

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It's showing up beginning tomorrow, December 5th through the 9th.

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_06]: You got to go and you got to check it out.

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you are in the New York area, the London area, or Nashville, you might be able

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_06]: to catch them live.

[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_06]: They're in New York on the 8th and the 9th, London on the 11th and the 12th, and Nashville

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_06]: the 17th through the 20th if you want to see it live.

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_06]: But if you don't live there, no worries.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_06]: No worries.

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Because you're going to get to see it in theaters, Dano.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And you don't want to miss it.

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_06]: They are up in the rafters.

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_06]: They're flying around.

[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_06]: The light show is incredible.

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_06]: It's made for the big screen brain.

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_06]: For King and Country, Little Drummer Boy, a cinematic experience is fantastic.

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Go see it.

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Starting tomorrow through the 9th, wherever you see movies.

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Merry Christmas.

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_06]: That's for the folks on Philo.

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Philo.

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it is.

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it is.

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly right.

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's get to the Wait What.

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_06]: We'll talk about what in this movie made us go Wait What.

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll start with you, Brian.

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Benedict, as I like to call him.

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's his name.

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_03]: His intro in this movie, he did a really weird voice.

[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he did.

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I wrote down what is...

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Every time this guy acts, it's a weird voice.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He's doing weird stuff.

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, what is he doing?

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It was so weird.

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought he was doing a bit, and then he just kind of kept talking and didn't just glossed

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_03]: right over.

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought he was British.

[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought he was something.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_06]: He's pseudo-British in a lot of these movies.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_06]: I was confused, because he's not...

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_06]: British adjacent.

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_06]: There were no one else in his family.

[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_06]: He was confused.

[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_06]: But he was in England at the time of that scene.

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes.

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_06]: So maybe when he's over there...

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's like when you go home...

[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Yo, I know about it.

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm talking about?

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_06]: And you just kind of slip back into it.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, he's been over there for so long, he starts picking up on a little

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_06]: bit, but then when he's back home, he drops the act.

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a bucket of mashed potatoes.

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Bucket.

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Of course they do.

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_06]: They have a tater-clone.

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Call it a day?

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_03]: The company's fiscal year ends December 25th.

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_03]: No!

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry to do this.

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_03]: That is a...

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't even hear that.

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I hate to do this.

[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm having a current...

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to start twitching.

[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_03]: That's terrible.

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_03]: That's why they have to take the new board theme.

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because the fiscal year ends the 25th.

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But unfortunately, the IRS defines a fiscal year as 12 consecutive months ending on the

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_03]: last day of the month, excluding December.

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_03]: December is excluded, according to the IRS.

[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_03]: You can't do it.

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_03]: You can't do it.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Guys, come on.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_01]: If December is...

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_01]: So, it has to be the last day of the month.

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_03]: It could be like November 30th, but it can't be December 31st.

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_01]: So, it could be December 25th.

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_03]: No, it has to be on the last day of the month.

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Last day of the month.

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_03]: It can't be December.

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_03]: So, it could be January 30th.

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So, it could be after last day.

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_06]: I was just saying, could it be before?

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Could it?

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_06]: It has to be the last day of...

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_06]: You said excluding.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Excluding December.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so it could be before.

[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_06]: God almighty.

[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_06]: You're not listening.

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_06]: You see what I'm saying?

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I see what you're saying.

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_03]: You see what you're saying.

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_03]: You're being very confident.

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_03]: You said last day of the month, excluding, which means it could be any day.

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure there's verbiage that rules you out here.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Could be any day.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't think so.

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Even if it was allowed, no one in their right mind is making the end of their fiscal year

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Christmas day.

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Unless you're on this board, which flew in on December 31st.

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I just can't imagine.

[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_03]: This whole board shows up.

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought it was a contract thing.

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_06]: For this vote.

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought the will...

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't know.

[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought the will just had a contract that was like, they got to do it by this time.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Nope.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It was the fiscal year.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_03]: That's terrible.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_03]: That day.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And so the whole board comes in and they agree that they're going to add two board seats,

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_03]: two new seats, because every board wants to dilute their power.

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the stupidest thing.

[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't want more people on the board.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_06]: You want to keep them out.

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_06]: It is one of the worst.

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Like it is a wait, what?

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_06]: But also just to tell you how bad this movie is, they hem and haw about this one board

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_06]: seat.

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_06]: And at the end, it's like somebody...

[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Just add a couple.

[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Like lightning strikes one of them in the head and they're like, what if we did all three

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_06]: of us on the board?

[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Unanimously agreed.

[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_06]: You just made everything less valuable.

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Now the board part of it was really...

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_03]: It would have been actually really great if they had just sorted that out early and the

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_03]: rest of it was them kind of getting like...

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Just getting back to go.

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_06]: That would be like you and I are 50-50 owners in this business.

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_06]: That would be like if we needed Aaron and Brian to sign some stuff and we're like, what if

[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_06]: we just make it 425?

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Give away.

[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_03]: That's basically what happened there.

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Just giving away power.

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know the siblings are going to stick together and overrule all the other people

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_03]: on the board.

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just going to get so messed up.

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I've seen Survivor.

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_02]: You know.

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_02]: And what's the HBO show Emily mentioned there?

[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Succession.

[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a lot like Succession.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_03]: That would be a fun episode here to watch.

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_03]: For sure.

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: So they got that going, which was really annoying.

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_03]: The garland hung around the barn.

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you mentioned this.

[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_03]: There was a scene where there are these barn doors that are really wide and they had garland

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_03]: strung around it, except it didn't quite make it to the edges of the barn doors.

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It just sort of just went down, draped like kind of on each side.

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It was just like really...

[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_03]: So you open those barn doors and you're basically like walking through garland, like just smacking

[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_03]: yourself in the face with garland.

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't...

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_03]: The Henry owing money was sort of like a real nothing burger.

[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Who in the world cares, guys?

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_03]: He...

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like...

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Why do we need to bring the mafia in this movie?

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_03]: The guy...

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_03]: He's like, do I want to cash...

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Liquidate my funds now to get the cash to pay him or later?

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Because he's got the money.

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he has the money.

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_03]: He's rich.

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got a board seat too.

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_03]: You just got a...

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait till the mob finds out about that.

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03]: They're going to want that board seat.

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.

[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_03]: A lot of stuff with the power and just pretending that they have problems with paying debts,

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_03]: which they just don't, was really kind of like, wait, what?

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, is that what this segment is?

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That's crazy.

[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_06]: On the subject of the mob, was anyone else disappointed by Mob Boss?

[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.

[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_05]: He shows up and he's like, hey man, you over there, I'm the Mob Boss.

[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to mess you up.

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_05]: You can tell by how intimidating...

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not Canadian at all, you guys.

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Guys, I'm real mad at you.

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to mess you up.

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll break your legs.

[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Hey, man.

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I won't break your legs, but you need to give me that money.

[00:29:34] [SPEAKER_06]: There's a chance that I'm more intimidating than that Mob Boss.

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_06]: There's a chance.

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_06]: The way you were just talking there?

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Are you kidding me?

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_06]: You kidding me right now?

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm terrified.

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Scared the UPS driver.

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I just want to say this.

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I know people...

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Aaron, you like sitting on the floor.

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_06]: That's something I know about you.

[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Aaron, when you tell her to, yeah.

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Aaron never gives Aaron a seat.

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes.

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_06]: At the floor.

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Because he's convinced himself she would prefer the floor.

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_06]: You like it, right?

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_03]: What's that?

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_03]: A seat for Aaron?

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Get that out of here.

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Aaron, you like sitting on the floor.

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_03]: You told me that.

[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_03]: She doesn't like that.

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_03]: You like sitting on the floor.

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_06]: You told me that once in passing, so I got rid of all the chairs.

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_06]: You sit on the floor.

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean, I would, if the option is to sit on the floor, if we're watching a movie or

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_00]: something like that, I can lay down and spread out.

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I do like sitting on the floor.

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, to sit at the desk, I do prefer my chair.

[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Sure.

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Sitting on the floor would be hard.

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_06]: But what if I put the computer on the floor?

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_06]: It's still.

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Can we get rid of the desk?

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_06]: This is tough.

[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Because for Christmas, he got you a not chair.

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_06]: You're going to open up.

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_06]: For Christmas, he's taking away your furniture.

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_06]: That's weird.

[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to come in after Christmas and you pull like that prank where you wrap

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_00]: the desk and there's nothing in there.

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_06]: It's actually your gift.

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Your gift is the return box to get rid of that chair.

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_06]: You send it back.

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_05]: You get a refund.

[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_05]: You can keep the money.

[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_05]: What happens here?

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_05]: How long have we had this desk?

[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And the files.

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Amazon, you can just tell.

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Sounds like a board issue.

[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_06]: He goes in there.

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_06]: She's on the-

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_01]: But you're saying I have 25% now?

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_01]: You have 25%.

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_06]: So he walks in-

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Ryan, do you want to form an alliance?

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Towards the end of the movie.

[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_03]: We take over.

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Talk about it.

[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It's an absolute nightmare.

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's ridiculous.

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_03]: We're stuck.

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_03]: We can't budge.

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_00]: But what if we get Dan on our side too?

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that'd be pretty easy.

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And then 75-25.

[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't even eat cream cheese.

[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk about it over sushi.

[00:31:19] Oh, guys, come on.

[00:31:21] I want to be invited.

[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to kitchen sink and talk about it.

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't you have a basketball podcast?

[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_06]: I do.

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_06]: I do.

[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Dozens of people are counting on you.

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I know.

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_06]: I know.

[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Hawk, Hawk.

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_06]: So-

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Brian likes to podcast.

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I do like podcasts.

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_06]: He sits down on the floor to join her in sitting on the floor to have a serious conversation.

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_06]: And I just can't imagine doing that.

[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Getting down on the floor?

[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_06]: No way, no how.

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_06]: You gotta come on up here?

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_06]: You come up.

[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_06]: There's a couch right next.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_06]: If you want to come sit down, come over here.

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I want to talk.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll be on the couch whenever you're done doing the thing on the floor.

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_06]: I won't be-

[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_06]: All that I will be thinking about, even though this is a serious conversation, my mind's gonna

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_06]: be like, I'm on the floor.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not gonna be able to focus on what I have to share.

[00:32:19] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna goof it up.

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna be like, I'm moving to floor.

[00:32:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna constantly be thinking about the floor.

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Clearly.

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_06]: And I just can't-

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I couldn't do it.

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_06]: I couldn't-

[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_06]: If I see you on the floor and I have a serious conversation, I'll come back later.

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Sure.

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I just-

[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_06]: This can wait.

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Dan, you're with me here.

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_06]: We're not sitting down on the floor.

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't notice it.

[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Can you imagine?

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't notice it either.

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_06]: But I want 100%.

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_06]: As soon as you pointed it out, I was like, she is sitting on the floor next to hella furniture.

[00:32:48] [SPEAKER_06]: There's all kinds of-

[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_06]: There's all kinds of furniture.

[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not sitting on the floor next to the Christmas tree for the conversation they're

[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_06]: about to have, which is, we're not gonna be together.

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, that's basically the-

[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to Maine.

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I'm not sitting on the floor.

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, because then, if it gets awkward, me trying to get up off the floor-

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_06]: I just roll out of the room.

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, try.

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_06]: You just roll that time.

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_06]: How are you getting up?

[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_06]: That's quicker.

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_06]: How are you getting off that floor?

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_06]: It's quicker for me to roll out of the room than it is for me to get up off the floor.

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Get up off the floor.

[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Would have made the movie more entertaining.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Take that tree down.

[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm moving to Maine.

[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, see you.

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_06]: See you.

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Roll on.

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Dano?

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_06]: At the beginning of this movie, gifts are exchanged.

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_06]: And one person gets the other.

[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_06]: What appears to be a fairly costly infinity necklace.

[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_06]: And the other person gets the other person a book about horses.

[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_06]: And I, that was the beginning of the end for me.

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_06]: It was like, here is some information.

[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, by the way, you missed it.

[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_06]: On horses.

[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_06]: At the end.

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you get a new tattoo?

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_06]: I've had it for a couple of weeks.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't know.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, thank you.

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks stuck on.

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_01]: No, it looks significantly fresh.

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Fresh ink, as the kids say.

[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like you normally come in and you'd show me.

[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I got this one, too, about a month and a half ago.

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't see that one.

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_03]: No, there you go.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Since you lost those board seats, man.

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I know.

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's nothing to it.

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you don't care.

[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_03]: We all ever knew about them, right?

[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_06]: None of you noticed, for that matter.

[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying.

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I just didn't say anything.

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_06]: This hurts.

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like to talk about it.

[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_06]: So, what were you saying?

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, should I be staring at your uncovered arms more?

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying no one noticed my tattoos.

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_06]: I just did.

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_06]: And that hurts.

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, a month later.

[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't hurt.

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't care.

[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_06]: But you were, you know, it's been cool.

[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_06]: What's the point of getting them if people don't ask you about them?

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.

[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_06]: What were we talking about?

[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't remember.

[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Horse book.

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Horse book.

[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, you missed it because you were in the bathroom.

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Cody.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Getting that tattoo.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry.

[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_06]: What's his name?

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Austin gives Cody the horse book.

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Cool.

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Told you he still had it.

[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So, he still has that book.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And now Cody has it.

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_06]: He gives her a necklace and she's like, I wrapped up this book about horses for you and I couldn't

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_06]: believe it.

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I couldn't believe it.

[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_06]: It was crazy.

[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_06]: But not as crazy as this next conversation between Short Stack and Mrs. Miracle.

[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_06]: What's his name?

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_06]: The mob.

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Which one?

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_06]: The one with the beard?

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Not Benedict.

[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And not...

[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Henry.

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_03]: The brother?

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_03]: The brother.

[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Henry, I think it is.

[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go with O.

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Henry.

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Henry.

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_06]: He says, why are things always in the last place you look?

[00:35:18] [SPEAKER_06]: And Mrs. Miracle says, because once you find them, you stop looking.

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_06]: And he says, I never thought of it that way.

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Never?

[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Not once?

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you think of it that way?

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_06]: The...

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_06]: You...

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_06]: If you lose your keys, when you find them, you stop looking.

[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Because that's the last...

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_06]: How?

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, he's like 40 years old.

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't ever wonder where they would have been if they weren't right there?

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh.

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_06]: He's like 40 years old.

[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess we're just different people.

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I guess we are.

[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I've never seen an estranged family that hates each other be so incredibly nice and respectful

[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_06]: to each other.

[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I just...

[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, if you're going to make a movie where all these siblings hate each other and they

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_06]: don't want to go home for the holidays, but they have to because they want the board

[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_06]: seat and they don't want the others to get it, why are they all being so respectful

[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_06]: of each other's time and space and just lives in general?

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_06]: They're just good people.

[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_06]: It is crazy to me.

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Deep down, they're good people.

[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_06]: They're raised right.

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I just wrote down, I love Tuba Christmas, she said as she immediately walked away from

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Tuba Christmas.

[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_06]: They have these tubas playing and she goes, I love Tuba Christmas, and she just walks as

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_06]: far away from them as she possibly can.

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_06]: It's like, if you love Tuba Christmas, wouldn't you want to be around for Tuba Christmas?

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe, I don't know.

[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_06]: And then...

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Aaron, how is the Canadian brass?

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So good.

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So good?

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they were real Canadian, real brassy.

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Sound was great, put me right in the Christmas spirit.

[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_06]: How about that?

[00:36:57] [SPEAKER_06]: We love brass.

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_06]: We love the Canadian brass.

[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Also, the Canadian brass has more brass instruments than the Greenville Symphony.

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And I said what I said.

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_06]: There you have it.

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_06]: They're the Canadian.

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, is it true?

[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it true or are you just making a lot of strings?

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_00]: No, the Greenville Symphony has about 87 violinists.

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Two flute players, like two Tuba players.

[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Partridge in a pear tree?

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_00]: So if you have a violin, you can't get in.

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But if you can play a mediocre flute, come audition.

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_00]: You're good to go.

[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_06]: You're good to go.

[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_06]: And then lastly, the big reveal that Cody was at the stables was brutal.

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_06]: He's been at the stables half the movie.

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, he's down there feeding the horses.

[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_06]: He feeds the horses with Mrs. Miracle.

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Then later, he learns how to feed the horses, even though he's already fed them.

[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_06]: He pretty much lives at the stables.

[00:37:45] [SPEAKER_06]: As soon as Cody's not in his bed, did anybody check the fact that they go a full APB, call

[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_06]: the cops, look at this mob boss.

[00:37:55] [SPEAKER_06]: No one checked the stables?

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, the one other, like, setting for this movie?

[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Nobody checked the stables?

[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Come on, guys.

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_06]: You gotta check the stables.

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Gotta check the stables.

[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what Rick always says.

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he does.

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_06]: He's always at the stables.

[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_06]: You better.

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_06]: What's your favorite part about horses?

[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, really, just being around the gentle creatures.

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_06]: They are.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a shame what happens to them if they break an ankle.

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_06]: What happens to them?

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_06]: The horse-mases.

[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_06]: The horse-mases.

[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_06]: My parents always told me it was a horse-mases.

[00:38:32] What?

[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_06]: They had to come in and massage the ankle.

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Massage it up.

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.

[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_06]: At a farm upstate.

[00:38:36] [SPEAKER_06]: That doesn't sound bad at all.

[00:38:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I know.

[00:38:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like a cold stone massage.

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_06]: But if you gotta go that far for a-

[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, the best of best masseuses in the state.

[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Upstate.

[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_06]: It's upstate.

[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_06]: New York.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_06]: New York.

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_06]: It's the best masseuse.

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_06]: It's the horse masseuse.

[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_06]: They can't find them down here.

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Not with that quality.

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's get to what the hallmark is for.

[00:38:55] [SPEAKER_06]: What could have been.

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_06]: You think if they knew about the ankle thing, they'd be a little bit more careful?

[00:38:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Who?

[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Horses.

[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Horses?

[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I think they would.

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_06]: You think they probably would just be less concerned about this?

[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I bet they would put their legs and their feet in some sort of-

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Foam?

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Something that would protect them.

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you wouldn't.

[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Like pants or something?

[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_03]: No, it wouldn't be pants.

[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, they have four legs, though.

[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's get to-

[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I was a horse jockey.

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah?

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_06]: What?

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It was one of the lower minor circuits.

[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Lower minor.

[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Had a great horse.

[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you ever have to send a horse to the masseuse?

[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_06]: No, not one of mine.

[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no.

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Really?

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I got a masseuse in the house.

[00:39:33] [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Had one win, though.

[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_06]: One good one.

[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, where was the win?

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_06]: My pants.

[00:39:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, no.

[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought for sure you were going to ask him what the name of the horse was.

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, interesting.

[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it is.

[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's get to-

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_06]: You were breaking up there.

[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you ask what the name of the horse was?

[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I did ask what the horse was.

[00:39:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's get to the what the hallmark is where we wonder what could have been.

[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe I guess the kind of questions we still have.

[00:39:54] [SPEAKER_06]: What are we still wondering about?

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_06]: It's my pants, Pino.

[00:39:57] From Ryan.

[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Let me see.

[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I was curious about the upkeep of the estate.

[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_03]: How much does this cost?

[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe just sell that place and not pay out a small fortune for the maintenance all the time.

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_03]: What's up with those taxes?

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what I was wondering about.

[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Cool.

[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we all were wondering about the tax.

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_06]: The nice thing about the tax is you don't have to worry about them until December 25th.

[00:40:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And then and that's when the tax is going to go.

[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_06]: You wrap it up.

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_06]: You're good to go.

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I noticed Dan.

[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_06]: God.

[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Dan.

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Dan is my witness.

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Dan.

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_06]: God.

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_06]: God is my witness.

[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_06]: We were both there.

[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_06]: God and me.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_06]: God and you were both there.

[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_06]: That barn.

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I think it's the barn from ride.

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_06]: If you remember ride as I do, I try not to.

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_06]: There's an episode where they have to put tarps on the bales of hay and then they all have dinner and they have dinner inside the barn.

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Even though to get to the barn, you have to go outside.

[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Obviously, I think that's the same barn from ride.

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And so if somebody could let me know, that'd be great.

[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Dan.

[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_06]: These are two great.

[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_06]: What the hallmarks.

[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_06]: I know that Rachel Boston has said she wants to do this character for multiple movies.

[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm fascinated to see like see the reaction to this movie.

[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Mine is purely like what did people think?

[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_06]: How did it do in the ratings?

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Are there plans for another one of these with her?

[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Because Caroline Ray was a one and done.

[00:41:31] [SPEAKER_06]: I believe before her it was Doris Roberts.

[00:41:32] [SPEAKER_06]: So do we have ourselves a Mrs. Miracle for the next decade?

[00:41:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Like what are we talking about here?

[00:41:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Interested in how long, if you could guess how many movies Rachel Boston plays Mrs. Miracle,

[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_06]: how many would you go with?

[00:41:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going with three.

[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Three?

[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_04]: In the next three years?

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I think three over the course of however long she decides to play.

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I think this is it.

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Really?

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.

[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I think we're done.

[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.

[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say six, but now I feel silly.

[00:41:58] [SPEAKER_01]: You should be silly.

[00:41:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to stick with six.

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Debbie McComer wishes.

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_04]: We did it.

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Everybody, congratulations to us.
