[00:00:02] Hi, I'm Brad and I love lifetime movies

[00:00:05] I'm Patrick Serrano, and I am a lifetime movie expert. I'm Dan and I despise lifetime movies and this is

[00:00:29] Yeah, yeah

[00:00:32] Hello everybody and welcome to another episode of a deck the hallmark meets stack the lifetime on court big fun times

[00:00:40] The deck the lifetime on court podcast. That's all

[00:00:43] Homework podcast. That's right, right? That just makes sense. Yeah, we think we would really have it nailed down by this

[00:00:50] We just don't yeah

[00:00:51] Yeah

[00:00:52] And we have the the lifetime movie expert on

[00:00:55] Every month Patrick Serrano and we still have trouble with the title. It's unbelievable. Patrick. Hello. Welcome to the show

[00:01:02] I'm here. I'm ready lifetime is is finally getting into the

[00:01:07] Thick of it. We're getting to the good stuff. Now. What does that mean? Good stuff like what's changed?

[00:01:13] Well, I think like you know how they used to have May sweeps. Yes. Yeah

[00:01:19] November this is like a

[00:01:21] February yeah

[00:01:23] Exactly like this is lifetimes time to shine May

[00:01:27] Is it mother's Mother's Day?

[00:01:30] You just so what you're saying is you haven't been impressed so far this year

[00:01:34] The whole year and it's we're already in month five. I mean, it's the same for Hallmark though Patrick

[00:01:42] Maybe related or something just real bad. So, you know, and you know, I don't know

[00:01:49] But yeah, they've been very run-of-the-mill nothing memorable but this the movie today is is one

[00:01:56] Yes, I'm not saying anything. We're just saying it's one for the books. It's memorable. It could be memorable good

[00:02:03] It could be memorable bad. I well I also had to hear brand like three times go this movie

[00:02:09] So

[00:02:11] Now Patrick we were at one point we were gonna cover

[00:02:14] There's a Melissa Joan Hart movie that's coming out and then schedule wise it made more sense to do the movie that we're doing today

[00:02:20] Which is mommy meanest and you said to me, that's great. We get to talk about

[00:02:26] Lisa Rinna and I don't and I was like, I don't know what what you mean when you say that and then you said I

[00:02:32] will educate you and so

[00:02:35] What is there to know about Lisa Rinna

[00:02:39] Well, I was surprised

[00:02:41] You know, this is her first lifetime movie in 20 years the Queen has returned and you were like, what are you talking about?

[00:02:47] I don't know who Lisa Rinna is either. She's not been on a lifetime movie in 20 years. Is she like the original lifetime Queen?

[00:02:54] She's one of the originals

[00:02:56] Yes

[00:02:57] She was originally like on like days of our lives like kind of days of our lives Melrose Place that kind of thing

[00:03:03] Think like a Tiffany Amber Thiessen without the Sabre the Bell success, right?

[00:03:08] Okay, Tiffany Amber Thiessen without the success of the show that made her famous got it good. Yes exactly

[00:03:15] Lisa Rinna

[00:03:17] She famously married

[00:03:19] hair Harry

[00:03:21] Harry

[00:03:22] Yeah from LA law. Yeah, Harry. Yeah, so they they met on on a show or movie and

[00:03:29] fell in love and got married and

[00:03:32] She is just you know a little pixie cut back in the day she had a little pixie cut she's cute

[00:03:39] And she was always in the Lifetime movies like being like a sexy lady

[00:03:43] Yeah, so I was like it seems like the perfect place for her to do her movies and she stopped acting completely to do

[00:03:51] Bravo housewives she was on housewives. Was she one of the contestants or she hosted?

[00:03:57] She was one of the

[00:03:59] Okay

[00:04:11] You know with like

[00:04:20] Obviously we I know had the housewives and like the point of the show and stuff but for Dan what is it like

[00:04:26] What is it?

[00:04:29] Why don't they you don't do that Dan everyone knows that okay, is it just women

[00:04:35] Just hanging out that right like being caddy

[00:04:39] famously adjacent caddy

[00:04:41] Women getting to the drama with

[00:04:44] They're famously adjacent. They're famous for being beside

[00:04:49] Yeah, they're they're definitely like a tear down rich

[00:04:53] Celebrity of yesteryear and Lisa

[00:04:57] Lisa Renna, sorry keep going. I'm sorry. I was just gonna say Lisa Renna was was a villain on that show. She was not

[00:05:04] Some people were rooting for they didn't like her on the show

[00:05:07] Because she got in a fight with Kathy Hilton and you don't mess with Kathy Hilton. We all know that

[00:05:13] So when the housewives tribe votes at the end, they vote one housewife off or two

[00:05:17] Yeah, they all say I think they all stay on and vote for the housewives I think you all day everyone

[00:05:25] Lisa Renna was tired of being a housewife and having to deal with all that

[00:05:29] Stuff she's like I'm an actress by trade

[00:05:31] I'm going back to act and this I'm producing this movie on lifetime and I'm gonna start it and here we are amazing

[00:05:37] I love that. I did think that the housewives for some reason were all

[00:05:42] Like women who like married into wealth and so they just kind of like hang out and talk trash about

[00:05:49] their their husbands and not like but Lisa seems like she had a full career like a full acting career that could make her

[00:05:57] Famous, like why did she need this that show? Oh

[00:06:01] To keep your celebrity alive. You know, she didn't think that she could have a good enough acting career

[00:06:07] So she chose to do the house she kind of had like falling out

[00:06:10] She had done some like hosting and stuff and she wasn't getting roles and then she did the housewives

[00:06:16] I mean, it's a lot a lot of housewives do that. Like there's candy from from Atlanta

[00:06:22] She was a song producer songwriter

[00:06:27] But you know needed to do something else so it's like me when this podcast is like run its course then I'm gonna go on

[00:06:33] gay housewives of

[00:06:35] Palm Springs or something. Yeah, we're trying to

[00:06:39] I would 100% watch a show with you and

[00:06:45] Would watch it would watch it would love it

[00:06:48] Man, yeah a Patrick Serrano reality show of any kind probably gonna be pretty great in a lot

[00:06:53] I'll tell you what. I'm gonna flip the table. So yeah, literally and figuratively

[00:06:59] Let's dive into mommy meanest

[00:07:02] Starring of course Lisa Rinna, which we all knew

[00:07:07] What do we need to know before we dive into this movie

[00:07:10] Okay, the movie stars at least arena, which we said Brianna Sky and Bradley

[00:07:17] Stryler Skry Striker Striker. Okay, Bradley's trucker striker. Yeah. Yeah

[00:07:23] I admit I added an L in there somewhere sometimes you do right by K in the house. Easy to do

[00:07:28] Well, we'll talk about this a little bit later but just so Dan is aware this is based on a true story

[00:07:33] This is based on a true crime

[00:07:35] So we will talk about the true crime of it all later

[00:07:38] But just have that in your mind as we're as we're talking and now it's really this is really have one of those

[00:07:45] Based on where you google it afterwards and it's like loosely based. It's hard to pin down what I like what it is

[00:07:51] It's pretty close. This is this is the store

[00:07:54] I mean, they're filling in some gaps that we're not very busy, but this is the story. Yeah

[00:07:59] Okay. Yep. Yeah, there's a real person

[00:08:03] Who is in jail for these crimes? It's like if I want to say like last year

[00:08:07] We did that Melissa Joan Hart movie where?

[00:08:09] She was the hoarder and it said it was based on a true story and then you looked it up and it was like

[00:08:14] Yeah, it was just based on the fact that hoarders exist. It's this isn't one right? This is a this is the story got it

[00:08:21] Yeah, maybe one of the first true crime ones we've done because I usually try to stay away from them

[00:08:26] But this one was just I couldn't stay away. I couldn't stay away

[00:08:29] alright, so

[00:08:31] We see in the beginning Lisa Renna whose character I did not write down

[00:08:37] Lisa Renna is fighting with her husband. She has a wig on cuz it's a Lifetime movie. She doesn't have the pixie-cut

[00:08:44] she has a like brown like Moppy wig and

[00:08:47] Her little daughter walks into the parents fighting and she's like, hey you guys I'm trying to do a cute kid

[00:08:52] Hey you guys stop fighting, you know

[00:08:56] You should coach kid actors like Jackson. Yes

[00:09:02] She's specifically concerned with how

[00:09:06] Dad's talking to mom

[00:09:08] So we immediately the audience begins to feel obviously for the mom

[00:09:14] Clearly is in some sort of abusive relationship gonna be the meanest that's

[00:09:18] But you want to know why I what what it didn't take me long

[00:09:22] Patrick to forget that that was the title of this movie because Lisa Renna is so darn like

[00:09:28] Likeable and you can't imagine that she's gonna end up being the meanest

[00:09:33] But yeah, so there's clearly something going on and this little girl's like no stay away from my mom

[00:09:39] And then they do

[00:09:41] There's

[00:09:43] Thank you, and then they do their secret handshake which Patrick you and I will do and say the code are you ready?

[00:09:51] Okay

[00:09:59] And they do that a lot throughout this movie a few more times

[00:10:09] What

[00:10:12] Secure is here

[00:10:15] Jax was probably on set for this because I don't know how that kid said that tongue twister so easily

[00:10:20] But that kid got that line down. Jack. Let's call your

[00:10:24] Kids acting coach to the stars and we said it here first together forever. No matter whatever. That's right

[00:10:32] We flash to current day current day we see Mia is the teenager

[00:10:38] And Lisa Renna has got a lip flip going on and a lip flip

[00:10:45] What is that? It's a it's a you know

[00:10:48] I can deduce what it means just cuz I've I saw her

[00:10:55] Yeah

[00:10:56] Her lips are John you in this movie

[00:10:58] It's so when you write a little work done in your lips, and it's just a little too much. It's called a lip flip

[00:11:03] Well, they flip it they flip the lip up so then the bottom part of your lip is more out

[00:11:09] So your lips look fuller. I got you. Okay

[00:11:14] She's always had big big lips like that's kind of like her

[00:11:21] She's a little like fish fish face, do you know?

[00:11:27] Famously adjacent fish faced actor we love you Lisa on the show, please

[00:11:33] Lisa look great in this movie. She looks great. She looks great

[00:11:38] You know, it's just a very specific thing that she's going for. Okay fish face

[00:11:43] Yes, and we learned that Mia

[00:11:47] The teenager was bullied for being poor freshman year of school

[00:11:52] And Mia overcame that with the help of her mother and the bullies were so mean they used to throw pennies at her

[00:11:59] and

[00:12:00] Like individual pennies like rolls. Yeah, I'm like, where do they get the pennies from?

[00:12:06] So mean now you might be wondering like is she's actually poor

[00:12:10] No, she's not but compared to all like she goes to a private school

[00:12:15] So compared to all of those kids

[00:12:17] She would be they would consider her poor

[00:12:20] But their house right that they live in would lead me to believe that they're not actually poor

[00:12:25] No, they're doing fine and Mia Mia takes this bullying and turns into a silver lining

[00:12:31] she takes those pennies and donates them to a charity for animals and

[00:12:37] You know, it's raised like so much money for animal like animal sanctuaries and stuff

[00:12:42] And she does a whole speech to the school about turning bullying around and blah blah blah and her mom's there

[00:12:48] Her mom works for the school. She's a music teacher. That's how I'm gonna go there. Yeah

[00:12:53] That's how I was able to go to private school

[00:12:56] Yeah, you were poor. Here's a penny. Yeah, I got pennies thrown at me that my mom taught at the school

[00:13:00] Yes, you can relate to this. You can relate to this. It's very specific. Yeah

[00:13:06] But Mia is like, you know off to college. She's like moved on like the bullying is in the past

[00:13:12] she has a friend who is definitely into her named Elliot and

[00:13:17] Another guy named Josh who's like the MVP like the big man on campus and he wants to go to the same school as

[00:13:26] Mia so Josh and Mia are like having a little love connection that they are gonna go to the East Coast for college

[00:13:34] Maybe Ellie it's getting a little jealous

[00:13:37] You know, it's always been the two of us and now you're starting to hang out with Josh

[00:13:42] Who is part of the popular crew the jet set as he calls them yet sit

[00:13:49] Yeah, yeah

[00:13:50] Jet setters and Mia like goes and hangs out with him after school. Like she really is like suddenly popular and

[00:13:59] Elliot is really having a hard time with that

[00:14:02] Right rightfully so so yeah

[00:14:06] Next we meet Lisa Rana's ex-husband and

[00:14:09] And

[00:14:10] The he still is trained from the from the daughter

[00:14:13] From I guess the fighting from before like she like basically told the daughter like he's the worst don't be around him

[00:14:20] So the daughter hates the father

[00:14:23] It's not him Eric and not dad

[00:14:27] Yeah, oh yeah that whole thing and

[00:14:31] He is like loving that Mia is going off to college because he's like Lisa Rana

[00:14:36] You're gonna be an empty nester soon and you're gonna know how it feels like how I had to feel growing like with this daughter

[00:14:43] Like not being around. Yeah, so

[00:14:46] What you deserve you're gonna get what you deserve mommy meanest. Yeah

[00:14:51] Yes, and Lisa Rana dating a couple other people in the school. I don't really know

[00:14:58] One other person

[00:15:00] The like a teacher or something, but it doesn't really matter to the plot

[00:15:04] Wanted to let you know she's has an on-again off-again thing with another teacher

[00:15:08] What happens here is she has this thing with this guy?

[00:15:13] But then also Eric is kind of around

[00:15:16] Throughout this movie and you kind of wonder is she gonna end up like back together with Eric this this boyfriend

[00:15:24] Yeah

[00:15:25] And there is a B plot which I will just talk about right here because it's only a D plot that Dan would love

[00:15:33] The music teacher Lisa Rana and the students are singing

[00:15:38] old timey songs like

[00:15:41] like songs from the

[00:15:44] 1912s, you know like

[00:15:46] 1912 was a big year and it was Yankee Doodle was after 1912, but 1912 huge year. It's just like a lot of

[00:15:53] It's about

[00:15:57] The songs you'd hear in silent movies, yeah

[00:15:59] Yeah, yes, and the kid the students are like, oh my god. This stuff is the worst. Can we sing something?

[00:16:07] Contemporary and Lisa Rana's like do you have copyright?

[00:16:11] royalties to

[00:16:13] play these songs D and there's a whole B plot about the the copyright and everything and

[00:16:19] They eventually do get to perform a contemporary song at the recital

[00:16:23] But who knows what it was because it wasn't a sound that I knew. Yeah, I didn't know the song either but I will say

[00:16:29] Choir not bad for how small they okay. All right. Yeah, and and Lisa ran up pretending to play a piano

[00:16:36] I could watch that

[00:16:39] I

[00:16:47] Totally yeah, it doesn't come back. It doesn't come back at all. That's why I want to get it out of the way now

[00:16:52] Because it was just like a little side a little side road, you know

[00:16:55] But we're getting back on the main highway here. All right back on that main highway. That's right

[00:16:59] I think before we get back on that main highway, we should take a quick

[00:17:03] Good. We're already off the

[00:17:06] I like to do it again here on

[00:17:13] I don't trust Harry Hamlin as far as I can throw him really now

[00:17:22] I don't try it like people when they have this very Hamlin was I think briefly on Veronica Mars, really?

[00:17:27] Yeah, I don't like when there's a H and the eight like I don't like the double eight

[00:17:31] Yeah, I don't like it or it just in general in general anyone's name. That's alliterative

[00:17:36] You're out on Leon Lightfoot. So all of Marvel superheroes Bruce Banner Peter Parker. Oh, yeah, I don't trust them

[00:17:42] You don't trust they're clearly hiding something. Yeah, there's their secret superhero identity. They're hiding. That's exactly right

[00:17:49] You made my point

[00:17:50] I didn't know who Harry Hamlin was till he was on a rest of development and then as soon as he's on arrest developments

[00:17:55] Now I know about him in jail. There you go. Yeah, so there you go. That's how I know it

[00:18:00] It all comes back to Lisa Renna. You know what I'm saying? Yeah

[00:18:05] That's so we're about to get back on the main highway we're about to get back on the main highway

[00:18:10] Yeah from the side plot of the singing to 1912 to write

[00:18:15] So Mia comes back from hanging out with all the cool kids and she has a nasty

[00:18:20] Voicemail from Elliot that's like, you know, I guess saying that she's hanging out with these kids or whatever and she's also getting

[00:18:28] threatening text messages and

[00:18:30] We get a threatening text message count on the screen that's like threatening text messages one and then later

[00:18:37] threatening text messages

[00:18:39] 212 or whatever it is. Yes 12 is getting a lot of play

[00:18:44] We get to see some of the text messages and it's like hey, you're poor. Hey

[00:18:53] Why don't you hang out with your animals like stuff like that? No, you're downplaying them I wrote down my favorites

[00:19:00] And I'm ready

[00:19:01] the the best mean text of this movie include I

[00:19:06] Remember when you were ugly spoiler alert, you still are got him

[00:19:11] I told that to brand every morning. He does it doesn't it doesn't feel good

[00:19:17] candidate for dog of the year

[00:19:23] Yeah, what's things about that one is there's still a chance she might not win when it that's right

[00:19:30] Wanna know why everyone hates you look in the mirror. Oh my gosh. I know I know they're so good

[00:19:37] I wrote them all down it I text all my friends that night. I was like, haha

[00:19:43] Yeah, he sent it to me out of the blue before I had seen the movie and it really

[00:19:49] So

[00:19:50] Mia is a professional like we all are with bullies and trolls like you block and ignore

[00:19:55] We all know that just block and ignore like I'm not gonna let it ruin my life. That's right

[00:20:00] And but Lisa ran his concern

[00:20:02] She's like, you know that does make me concerned

[00:20:04] I remember when you got bullied when you were younger and this just seems like it's happening again

[00:20:09] Maybe we should stay home from school and watch Gilmore Girls all day. I mean gosh

[00:20:15] They talk about Gilmore Girls a lot a lot of this movie and yeah

[00:20:20] Yeah, but who made the name drop of Gilmore Girls really took me I mean

[00:20:25] I don't I've never seen Gilmore Girls, but who would say no to you're about to go to school

[00:20:29] Hey instead of going to school. What what about we just stay home and watch TV all day?

[00:20:34] Like that is that's a that's a move by a parent. That's going to be the meanest. I don't think so

[00:20:39] Yeah, that's right. You ever let your kids do that exactly stay home

[00:20:43] No, not once they become like more like fun. Yeah. Well my kids always try to now. Yeah, there was oh, I think

[00:20:50] My kid will regularly once a week go he'll cough once and go dad

[00:20:53] I think I need to stay on for school. I will say like, you know, we are

[00:20:57] currently

[00:20:59] Lucky enough to be able to take Fridays off and I think track once they get a little bit older

[00:21:04] That could be a thing

[00:21:05] Decided eight is the age where I'm gonna start occasionally getting my kids out of school early to take him to the movies

[00:21:11] That is like my one thing as a parent, you know, you have related arts in the afternoon

[00:21:16] Up at one school, he's had a 215

[00:21:18] We've got an appointment and then we're going to the movies and I think that is something that my parents did

[00:21:23] My dad did one time one time stuck with you and it stuck with me as like one of my favorite memories

[00:21:29] Cool runnings, but if you're asking yo your one time was cool running

[00:21:36] Kiss my lucky egg. That's right. Absolutely

[00:21:38] Okay, so you're right Lisa Ryan is the best and she's a great a great mom

[00:21:44] but Mia doesn't want to

[00:21:47] Stay home with her mom. She wants to go to get ice cream with Josh

[00:21:50] You know, she's got she's got boys on the brain. Yes, and

[00:21:55] And as she is getting ice cream with him and talking and they're like having like a nice little talk about college

[00:22:01] Someone is taking pictures of them from outside the window and they kiss

[00:22:05] They kiss and the the photographer gets it on camera. So you bet that's gonna come back to be bullying, right? Oh

[00:22:14] Oh

[00:22:15] Throughout the whole movie this girl is getting text every scene

[00:22:17] She's getting text and ignoring it and you see a pop-up on the screen

[00:22:20] It's like bullying messages and she's like ignoring and ignoring it we cut to

[00:22:26] Lisa Rinna

[00:22:28] In her closet. Okay, she's in her closet

[00:22:32] She's

[00:22:34] Looking at her phone right and you're like, what is she doing? And then she pulls out another phone

[00:22:39] And she pulls out a laptop and she's scheduling all these messages. She's the bully

[00:22:46] She's the one sending out the me that's right. That's right. Oh my gosh

[00:22:52] She's bullying her daughter

[00:22:56] Yes, so she's sending out a message to her daughter

[00:23:00] Her daughter

[00:23:01] Yes, she's bullying her daughter. Just the the scaffolding to have all of those different people and

[00:23:09] And I guess Mia just think she doesn't know these people there

[00:23:13] They're from numbers that she does it or like unknown numbers or whatever. Yeah

[00:23:17] So what Lisa has is some sort of program that can send for multiple different numbers

[00:23:22] She can schedule out when it's going so like she can be with her daughter and like the text will come in and she's like

[00:23:29] What's that? Can we kill this woman? Yeah. Oh my goodness

[00:23:33] Yeah, yeah

[00:23:34] well

[00:23:35] She has like a ton of burner phones to all in this closet a red carpet closet by the way

[00:23:40] Which I think I'm gonna have to do because it makes a lot of sense to have a red carpet in your closet

[00:23:44] Because when you're getting dressed to go on the red carpet, you'll know what it looks like. Oh, yeah

[00:23:48] That's good for all the red carpets. We yes true. We actually this is true Patrick

[00:23:52] We have a red carpet in our studio in the hallway. Yeah, so we walk the red carpet every day here

[00:23:57] We fancy that's what we do. Okay, it's how you just check your outfit

[00:24:01] But now they do like the champagne carpet or you know, they try to do like fancy. I'm like keep it, right?

[00:24:07] We're always trying to change

[00:24:09] We're doing the puke yellow

[00:24:13] Yeah, but okay so so cats out of the bag we know that Lisa Rana is mommy meanest

[00:24:19] She is see it coming didn't see it coming and I was wondering how she was gonna know what is crazy about this is they?

[00:24:25] held that

[00:24:27] Bit of information for a good bit of the movie like I want to say we're like maybe 30 minutes Wow before we find out

[00:24:34] Totally, it's at least two commercial breaks before you realize I forgot the title of the movie how how?

[00:24:42] Impressive is it to ever watch a movie like this and there be a twist that makes your gasp, you know

[00:24:48] I mean, yeah, I did it very true

[00:24:50] So, you know to take the spotlight off of Mia

[00:24:55] You know for a moment Lisa Rana is not not dumb about this. She's also texting me as friends

[00:25:02] She's also texting herself. That's right bullying messages. Oh my god. They got me too. Can you believe it?

[00:25:08] Like they've sent me a text message

[00:25:10] I'm sorry is the is the reason for this is she wants to keep her daughter close?

[00:25:15] Yeah, yeah her you know cuz remember what her her ex said like I see you're about to be an empty nest

[00:25:21] That kind of hit her and it stuck with her and she said no like I if I can make her feel so bad

[00:25:27] Then she'll need me. She'll need that is

[00:25:30] Just deranged

[00:25:33] Well, and then the like asked to hang out like whenever Mia's like, oh my gosh, I got another message

[00:25:40] I'm so upset and Lisa Rana's like do you want to get sushi?

[00:25:44] Do you want to get sushi together and like go like talk about it?

[00:25:48] You know, she's like trying to be like the friend mom like the cool mom who's gonna like that should be the dead giveaway though

[00:25:53] The dog's like at some point every time I get bullied my mom's letting me like she's cute

[00:25:58] Let me stay home from school. We're going to get sushi. Like it seems like there's a big reward in it for me every time

[00:26:04] Right, that's that's a little weird. It doesn't seem great. No, but she doesn't pick up

[00:26:10] I like there's a few things that you know

[00:26:12] I tried to put myself in the daughter's shoes because there's a few other things that happen that make you go

[00:26:19] It's it's clearly your mom and like I just think that

[00:26:23] That's like you would never think that is my mom bullying me

[00:26:27] So even even when like something like that happens where you're like, oh I got bullies. She's like, let's get sushi

[00:26:33] You know, you wouldn't immediately go. Well, she seems a little too excited about this. She must be that's true. That's true

[00:26:38] I you know, yeah, it is the ultimate twist. It really is the most egregious

[00:26:45] The things you should you should have known Mia

[00:26:49] the phone get the

[00:26:51] everyone gets of the picture of Mia and Josh kissing at school, so everyone gets that like in their texts and

[00:26:59] You know

[00:27:01] What's her name Lisa Brenna is like we got to go get you a new phone some this is like gone to another level

[00:27:07] This is inappropriate. So she goes to the phone store, but she's like let's get sushi go to cricket get you a burner phone

[00:27:13] It's gonna be great

[00:27:15] They go to the the phone store and they're like checking out the salesman as Lisa Brenna is leaving

[00:27:22] He's like hey, let me know if you need any more burner phones

[00:27:26] Since we're here last time buying all those burner phones

[00:27:32] And Lisa just looks at her daughter and goes that was weird, right

[00:27:38] Okay, yeah

[00:27:40] Here's one more red flag. Here's one more red flag for you. I loved it. I loved it. Here's one more red flag for you

[00:27:46] she gets a

[00:27:49] bullying text

[00:27:50] from her mom's number

[00:27:54] Okay, and she and so she goes and she brings it to her mom she's like mom look they must have taken your number

[00:28:01] She's like so adamant like this definitely can't be you and so they're like after the burner phone thing

[00:28:07] I want to say it's right before it's like it's around the same

[00:28:10] Yeah, it's around the same time two and two together there, but you know like that's tough

[00:28:15] They clearly like took your number must that must have been what it is clearly cuz no and she's like yeah

[00:28:21] Well, what's great is her but she shows it to her mom and her mom's like well

[00:28:25] It couldn't have been me that is why fair enough

[00:28:28] Couldn't like if your mom says it couldn't have been me. That's all that's all we need to hear right there

[00:28:35] Yes, so

[00:28:39] The principal of the school is like sits Lisa run it down with her daughter

[00:28:42] he's like this is getting out of hand like it's affecting like other students and

[00:28:47] Mia's missing classes and all this stuff

[00:28:50] Lisa Rana

[00:28:52] You know excuses her daughter and then talks to the principal

[00:28:54] She's like you know how you were gonna write a letter of recommendation for her to go to college

[00:28:58] I think

[00:28:59] It would be better if she stayed and went to community college for a year, so don't write the letter

[00:29:05] You know let's keep her close to home this because things are getting bad. This is making me

[00:29:12] irrationally angry like I

[00:29:15] Just I've never cared. I love you guys, and I love talking about this. I've never cared knowing

[00:29:21] This is true. I've never cared like I care right now, and how mad I am at this situation. I hate I hate it

[00:29:27] Well there you go well right it's it's inexcusable that even the

[00:29:33] Rationale that we told you like just doesn't oh, it doesn't connect

[00:29:38] So Lisa Rana is also throwing out suggestions of who could be the texter and she

[00:29:43] Says it's got to be Elliot right he was

[00:29:46] Mad that you were hanging out with Josh like he's like in love with you blah blah blah and and she also

[00:29:52] Includes in one of the texts the the the phrase jet set jet setter yeah, and yeah, he's like

[00:30:01] No one else knows that phrase aside from him

[00:30:04] And I guess she must have obviously told her mom like hey we call the all the popular kids just letters

[00:30:08] And so like she's using phrases that she's heard and like also like looking in her

[00:30:14] Daughter's journal and getting bits of people

[00:30:17] Of stuff that she can include that only Elliot would know and so clearly it's got yeah, oh my gosh

[00:30:24] So now she's framing Elliot, but Elliot's like it can't be me because I got a text

[00:30:30] Text message talking about my birthmark which is the size of Oregon

[00:30:34] state

[00:30:38] Very specific so Elliot is like

[00:30:42] Yeah, maybe it's you like maybe you're doing all this to get people's attention because no one else no one else knows about my

[00:30:50] Oregon

[00:30:52] size of Oregon birthmark birthmark

[00:30:54] Aside from you. It's you it's me and that's it right

[00:30:58] I've told you my best friend about my birthmark

[00:31:01] And me is like that was only I only read about that in my journal because it was so funny

[00:31:06] I had to write it down somewhere or draw a picture of Oregon to make sure I could know what your birthmark looked like

[00:31:11] and

[00:31:12] like my

[00:31:14] My journal is in my room. She goes to a room. It's not there guess where it is

[00:31:19] Lisa Renna planted it in Elliot's locker, and he is suspended oh

[00:31:23] Boy, I think you need a moment Dan. I think you need a moment. Let's take a quick break

[00:31:27] I do I need a moment here how all this wraps up here on

[00:31:40] Welcome back talking about mommy meanest mommy is indeed the meanest

[00:31:45] Ali

[00:31:47] Framed Elliot has been kicked out of school

[00:31:50] Yeah, let's find out what happens next

[00:31:53] So there's a detective that comes into play here the detective is

[00:31:59] Kind of schlubby you know like not like the detective just wasn't like on top of things really to be

[00:32:06] You didn't believe her as a detective. I just felt like this detective could have been more professional and

[00:32:12] Lisa Renna is coming in all hot and like my daughter is being bullied in the test is like yeah

[00:32:18] My hair is down. I'm just hanging out. You know I'm in jeans. I got a button up on I'm chilling

[00:32:25] She didn't she didn't seem to care

[00:32:28] Lisa Renna

[00:32:29] She does tell Lisa Renna that if you're gonna report one

[00:32:33] Text message like you need to report the ones that you received as well like there's like some you're not reporting everything

[00:32:39] That's going on so the detective starts to have some doubts about Lisa Renna from the get-go from that

[00:32:47] Let's see so

[00:32:49] The principal tells me that he's not gonna write the letter this sends her spiraling

[00:32:54] she's really really upset because she had her heart set on East Coast College and

[00:33:00] She goes home alone

[00:33:03] Lisa runs with one of her boyfriends who knows who wanna

[00:33:09] Know I didn't know so many boyfriends and she

[00:33:13] Finds she goes in the closet with the red carpet, and she finds burner phones

[00:33:18] Just point my out phone after phone after phone after phone. There was some beeping sounds so she followed the yeah

[00:33:24] She opens up the laptop and there on the laptop is all of the scheduled text messages that are gonna be sent

[00:33:30] Here it comes and also another thing. She's all laid out is the is the

[00:33:37] What's it called restraining order that her mom told her that she got on dad

[00:33:42] Turns out dad actually got a flip

[00:33:45] so mom's been lying this whole time about you know what actually happened and

[00:33:52] Relationship I don't really know why why he let her keep

[00:33:59] Be able to stop that pretty like if she if I'm getting a restraining order of someone

[00:34:04] So, I'm not really sure why

[00:34:07] She got to keep her but whatever. Mm-hmm some I mean sometimes the courts are you know paternal rights are like

[00:34:14] Sometimes not always it depends on you know, if Lisa Renner can can pull this off

[00:34:19] I'm sure she could have convinced a court that she's capable of raising her daughter

[00:34:24] So Mia puts everything together that her mother's bullying her

[00:34:27] She rushes to Elliot's house and he opens the door and he's like unless you're gonna tell me that you were wrong about

[00:34:33] Everything I don't want to hear it and he like goes to slam the door in her face and she's like I was wrong about

[00:34:37] Everything it's my mom and he's like, hold on dog. Like what like your mom

[00:34:45] Yeah with a W yeah, hold on dog, I love it that's great

[00:34:52] Yeah, that's how he is to get revenge and catch her mother Elliot costly surrounding

[00:34:58] He's like I was talking to Mia and it sounds like she's like not doing well like self-harm

[00:35:04] Ideation like it's looking bad. It's looking bad

[00:35:08] now really there was

[00:35:11] This had happened before like she when she was bullied back then there was oh, yeah harm situation

[00:35:18] Okay, so there is that in her past look so they use that information

[00:35:22] to get

[00:35:25] Back at her mom, which is a bold and it's a bold move

[00:35:30] Yeah, because we go this is around a runs home

[00:35:33] She sees blood all over the bathroom and the showers running and she goes to open the curtain

[00:35:38] She's like, oh my gosh, what am I gonna see and on the curtain? It says in blood

[00:35:42] I know who you are cyber bully mother

[00:35:49] You are cyber bully mother it says all of that. Yeah, it was a big

[00:35:55] I know you are is plenty, right? I wish it was I wish it would have said mommy

[00:36:00] I mean, that's Lisa Renna winning was like, yeah, I know you are

[00:36:04] Maybe she does. Oh it does

[00:36:07] Mother so I do know. Yeah, that's me. That's me

[00:36:12] Started with like I know who you are and it was like that's not enough. It could like a cyber bully. Well, what if they just

[00:36:19] Mother

[00:36:21] No one can question this this is it very clear

[00:36:25] So, of course Lisa Renna starts like destroying all her evidence and everything and Mia walks in she's like, what are you doing? Like

[00:36:32] What's going on?

[00:36:34] And listen, I was like, oh I didn't I didn't want you to abandon me

[00:36:39] like it's not fair because you were like I

[00:36:43] Put everything into you all this time and you're just gonna leave me

[00:36:47] What's so crazy about all of this is everything is

[00:36:52] crazy about all this how

[00:36:55] She just doesn't feel bad at all like she genuinely thinks that what she did was okay

[00:37:00] Like she can't see that it was a Bible was wrong. Yeah, like I just wanted I didn't want you to leave me

[00:37:06] I mean people who are that crazy probably have justified it. It's like the person that is so deep in a lie

[00:37:11] They don't know it's a lie. Like right that is that she's definitely there. Yeah, holy moly

[00:37:16] Oh, yeah, and well cuz she's like remember when I saved you from the bullying before I did that for you

[00:37:22] You're being ungrateful and me as like it's called parenting is what you were doing full gas

[00:37:28] so she's basically taught they're talking and

[00:37:31] for some reason

[00:37:34] We hear the voice. Okay, that's enough. We got it and

[00:37:39] Mia had it on voicemail. I'm sorry on speakerphone with the

[00:37:45] Detective we could have gotten more information, but she just goes

[00:37:51] Anymore and she comes in and they arrest her and she's like you can't do this to me

[00:37:56] I'm your mom and all that good stuff, but she you totally can this well

[00:38:00] And we we do get some Oregon State law that says

[00:38:03] You know, you can't record peer-to-peer without knowing that you're being recorded

[00:38:07] But you can leave your phone on speakerphone and have someone else hear it. That's right in my accident

[00:38:13] So if you're ever looking to entrap someone in the state of Oregon, there's a loophole well what's also funny is they

[00:38:21] Like Lisa says that she's like you can't record me without my permission and then the detectives like

[00:38:27] Yes, we can but also here's why here's we did. This is what we did

[00:38:32] It's like the way they said it was very occurs that are gonna look this up

[00:38:34] I don't actually know what the law is because she's like now you can but we didn't what we do is really happen in

[00:38:41] I don't know

[00:38:42] So we will get to the real story now, so that wraps up the movie

[00:38:47] Before we put a cork in it

[00:38:50] She does get off on bail her one of her boyfriends

[00:38:55] pays

[00:38:56] No, man. What do you say? I hate the money out. She gets she gets she got off on bail and

[00:39:02] she comes home and

[00:39:04] Mia she walks in and Mia's like you're gonna have to do this without me and

[00:39:10] She's like no I still want to I still want you to be my daughter blah blah blah

[00:39:13] She's like I'm leaving and Mia and Lisa's like well

[00:39:16] Why don't you come home later, and we can watch Gilmore Girls together, and she says

[00:39:21] text me

[00:39:24] Classic and it's just Lisa staring at her giant empty house, but she's poor but it's a boy. It's a giant empty poorhouse. Yes

[00:39:31] Got it. That's me

[00:39:33] All right, let me hear the real deal. Let me hear the real story

[00:39:36] All right, so the real story

[00:39:39] There's a video playing on that screen okay, so it is

[00:39:44] Her name is where did it go look caught?

[00:39:49] Hold on feel great about this so far. Oh

[00:39:52] You know the hard-hitting reporting here hard-hitting and

[00:39:56] Okay, the the person it was a woman from Michigan

[00:40:00] She assumed a false identity for almost two years harassing her own daughter and her daughter's boyfriend

[00:40:05] The woman's name was Kendra Gail look Ari

[00:40:10] Probably

[00:40:12] LIC a ri oh maybe look Ari. I was thinking le C a re

[00:40:17] Yeah, look Ari. Okay. You get for making assumptions. Yeah, that's right. It's on me. I'm sorry Patrick

[00:40:22] So she was she created like a catfish account

[00:40:27] Faking it faking like an online persona and sending like messages to her daughter

[00:40:32] That were disturbing and hateful she pled guilty to two counts of stalking a minor in exchange

[00:40:40] They dropped three charges

[00:40:43] goodness

[00:40:44] Because she was using the computer like a computer software

[00:40:48] To like cover everything up. So that's like really bad

[00:40:52] And she's serving like 19 month 19 months to like five years

[00:40:57] In prison, she's still serving she's up for parole in November. Mm-hmm

[00:41:05] Yeah, she said and she cried in court and said she was sorry for the pain hurt and confusion that her actions caused

[00:41:10] There you have pain hurt and confusion. I can't imagine why I was confused unbelievable

[00:41:15] What a time yes, what a time didn't see it coming candidate for dog of the year. Yeah, I

[00:41:22] Know I know so the votes turn out. Yeah, that's right between that the real housewives votes a lot of voting happening

[00:41:28] That's true so much voting. Yeah, so

[00:41:31] now that you've heard the true crime of it all and the

[00:41:36] Recounting of it all what do you what do you think?

[00:41:40] You got to pour it up

[00:41:41] I've never been as invested and as angry as I was listening to this and

[00:41:48] I'm the only reason it's not a full a full pour all the way to the top of the glasses because

[00:41:54] Just knowing she doesn't get a lot of real

[00:41:56] Consequence here is it sucks, but man what a ride what a ride. I even watched the movie pour it up. Absolutely

[00:42:05] Okay, Brad, what are you thinking? Yeah, I'm pouring it up man this movie was wild

[00:42:10] You know, I try to go on these blinds

[00:42:11] So could I have done the research ahead of time?

[00:42:14] I'm sure I could have but I went in not knowing anything and so I was shocked when it was revealed that she was

[00:42:22] Indeed mommy meanest and I gotta give Lisa credit. She played the way she played this character

[00:42:28] She got like a little bit more like

[00:42:31] frazzled

[00:42:32] Crazy like she showed her craziness a little bit more as the movie went on

[00:42:37] But really held that closer to the vest until the reveal and so

[00:42:42] It was well done. I I really enjoyed this one

[00:42:46] Yeah

[00:42:47] the cool thing about

[00:42:49] Lisa Renna and actresses like her they don't get a lot of credit for like that a bit

[00:42:54] I mean we were calling her a fish face and all this stuff earlier, but I do mean that in like a we never

[00:43:01] Look Lisa Renna she gets it. She like she takes a look at me and she calls me like I don't know

[00:43:07] Gorilla face. I don't know something

[00:43:12] Try to think of an animal a giraffe face do I like I don't know what animal I look like

[00:43:17] But I would like to know and I I tasked Lisa Renna

[00:43:24] No, I have no I have no clue

[00:43:27] But she can do so much with her face without doing a lot

[00:43:30] You know what?

[00:43:30] I mean

[00:43:31] She can just like give a look like just like a narrowing of the eyes and the music and that's a that says a lot

[00:43:36] It's like riding a bike. She got back into that lifetime role and she just knew how to hit all the beats

[00:43:41] Yep, she really is like the perfect lifetime actress because she has like that

[00:43:46] Ability also a fun fact about this movie her daughter

[00:43:51] Delilah

[00:43:52] Hamlin was in this movie in a small role and I thought she did a really good job kind of jumping in and just like

[00:43:59] acting

[00:44:01] so there's a

[00:44:02] New actress in the world. But yeah overall. I thought this was a really good example of a lifetime movie and why they are

[00:44:09] Why are they are go viral or whatever why people like them and watch them

[00:44:15] This is a great one a great example of that support up for me as well Wow

[00:44:19] It's a triple form up over here, which is always a good time doesn't happen often

[00:44:24] Check out lifetime on court comm for all of Patrick's movie reviews. He watches all of them

[00:44:30] So give it a look see if you like what you're hearing here

[00:44:35] And if you're tuning to this and thought I'm really hoping I'm getting a lifetime game show Palooza. Oh, it's just a movie review

[00:44:42] Don't worry everybody

[00:44:43] Life time game show Palooza back next week next week. Thank goodness two weeks in a row

[00:44:48] We get Patrick's a lot of fun. So stay tuned for that Patrick anything else for the people?

[00:44:55] I don't know. Happy pride is a junior. I don't know. No, it's not

[00:45:00] Happy pride. Anyway, absolutely. Don't say that unless it's June

[00:45:05] Okay, never mind. I take it back. Thank you
