[00:00:36] Wow! Boy, boy, boy, boy, boy! Today is such a big day. Is it though? Do you know why today is such a big day? It's the last of the previews. It is the last of the preview episodes. That's right, it is. Guys, next week we're launching this sucker. We are. This is it. A lot of people are like, what? We've done it. Guys, we haven't officially launched yet. Big trick. Believe it or not. It's a big trick. You've been listening to all preseason eps. That's all you've been doing. And it's similar to preseason basketball. It is.

[00:01:04] You see the other day Steve Kerr got kicked out. What are you doing right now? We're not doing this. He got kicked out of the game and he said, I don't even want to be here? Yeah. That was kind of like this for you. What's our preseason record right now, Dan? It's over. Look, here's the thing. You asked us to do one, maybe two preview episodes. I did. Turned into 14. Yes. And here's what made me really sad, like deep in my loins, was this. I realized we had done 14 podcasts.

[00:01:32] We had watched 14 of these insufferable films and we had done so in a span of about two months. Well, we've got two months ahead of us. We're going to do 37. Just wrap your brain around that. We didn't even hit the halfway mark. That's crazy. Isn't that insane? So this is the last of the preview episodes, movies that we're going to review. And by two months, really, it was three months. That's right. It was three months. We actually did 13. July, August, September. Oh, almost four months. Oh, stop talking. Your math was rough. I was trying to make myself feel better.

[00:02:03] Yeah, no, it's not true. It's the last of the preview movies and it's the last of the fall movies, which we're going to review. And I would say- I'm ready for that. Yeah, I'm ready for the harvest. I'm ready for Christmas. I'm pumped, guys. I'm excited. Every day, I think about this at least once a day. And I think about how excited I am about doing the Christmas movies. I'm pumped about it. And we'll get to that in just a second. But real quick, a couple of things. We are right in the middle. We got one more, one and a half weeks basically left.

[00:02:29] And our 100 by Halloween iTunes challenge. We're right at 80. We're right about at 80. And so what we're asking you to do is leave a review on iTunes. If you've already done it, thank you so much. Find a friend's phone. Leave another one. Please do. We don't care. Break the law. You want that document, though? Yeah. I think we can do it. 100 by Halloween. Yeah, 100 by Halloween. So we got about a week and a half left before Halloween. And I'm really excited. Are you excited about Halloween? Sure. Bring it.

I had nothing.

[00:03:29] You were in your head just grasping. And you're like, dragon is a dragon. Can I be honest, the only one I could think of was a hanging chad. But that's from 2000 election. That's encouraging. It really has been a lot more fun than I... It just really has. It almost makes watching these movies worth it. And I know that this is already longer than it needs to be.

[00:04:58] You might be in the t-shirt. Guys, let's get into this. It is our last fall movie next week. We are going for it. We'll talk about that at the end of the podcast. But guys, are you ready? You are really talking fast. Do you need to take a breath or something? These people, look, I know it's late at night here, but these people are listening to this on their drive to work. They want to be soothed. Brand, if you could take it down a notch. Just deep breath. We're going to dive into this movie. It got creepy. Falling for You aired on October the 6th, 2018 on the Hallmark Channel.

[00:05:27] And it went a little something like this. Lacey works for an NPR-type radio station. That is unfortunately going out of business. But we're not totally sure why. Zach is in town to implement some sort of budget software for the town. And Lacey and Zach first meet at a coffee shop in town where she tells them about a bachelor bake-off that she thinks will help save the radio station.

[00:05:52] Lacey gets bad news that one of the bachelors gets a girlfriend, which therein lies the problem with relying on someone being a bachelor for a fundraiser. Zach is staying at Lacey's aunt's inn, and she's also there, and they're talking. And we find out that Zach's budget software is actually what led to Lacey's radio station shutting down. There's no money left for the radios.

[00:06:18] Lacey uses that as leverage to get Zach to join the bachelor bake-off, despite him not being a good baker. But he makes a deal with her. I'll help you budget your fundraiser, and you help me bake. She should have called Dave Ramsey, but she didn't. She made the deal. A radio station called Small Town Live comes to do a story about the bake sale, and they offer Lacey an audition. And she's like, ah, I love that show, but I love my town.

[00:06:45] And speaking of the town, there's a lantern walk. I think I missed the point of it. But they're walking around town with lanterns, and it's during that lantern walk that we get our first almost kissed, but it's also when we get our real kiss. It's like fake kiss, real kiss, bam. It was the fastest I've ever seen that happen. It was amazing. Zach finds out, though immediately after this kiss, oh man, I gotta go to Georgia to show off his software.

[00:07:11] But the bad news about that is that it is on the day of the Bachelor Bake Off. And so he goes to tell Lacey, and she's like, it's fine, just go, this isn't gonna work out anyways. And so he goes, and she decides the best course of action for the Bake Off was that she would be an honorary bachelor for the Bake Off, naturally. And so she ends up winning thanks to a bid by, you guessed it, Zach, who came back into town, and they kiss, and the radio station's future is still kind of unknown.

[00:07:41] And that, my friends, is falling for you. Boy, we did. Hey, can we agree if this wasn't an auto movie, the better title would be The Bachelor Bake Off? Oh yeah, absolutely. For sure, right? Yes. Okay, just making sure. The book was, this was based off a book. No, there's no way somebody wrote this in print. And it was called, I forgot. Cool. Good talk. Yeah. But the title was better. We have four segments on this show, and I'm very excited to talk about this movie with you

[00:08:11] guys, my friends, during the fall time. Oh, I forgot the pumpkin spice latte for you. Oh. It's too late for caffeine. I don't think anyone was clamoring. It is when we share those hot takes about what we thought about the movie. I'm going to start with my good friend Panda. Hot take on this is it was fine.

[00:09:07] Borderline almost I didn't like it. You have the most words to say, I'm both. Please like me. You know what? That hurts, but it's true. It was okay. The film was okay. I love the lead girl in this. Lacey was great. Loved her. One of my favorite lead females.

[00:09:36] The rest of the movie was meh. Okay. I really liked this movie. It was my favorite of the fall movies that I've seen and I've seen, I think three of them. I really, I really did like it. And maybe it's because I have a soft spot for radio. Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for podcasts. Maybe it was all of that. Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for baking. Lantern walks. Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for cardigans. Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for pumpkin spice lattes. All of that encompasses maybe why I like this movie so much.

[00:10:05] I really did enjoy it and I'm really excited to hear Dan say you didn't like it. I didn't like it, if you can believe it. This movie was insufferable. It had a magical... You keep saying that and yet you keep watching them. I know. What's crazy is this is all your fault. I will say that this movie had the superhuman strength to make an 84 minute movie seem like 800 minutes. It was tough. Was it Ken Burns' documentary? It was.

[00:10:34] It was Ken Burns' Vietnam War documentary. He said, I actually love history. So that's the kind of guy I am. Here's why it was bad. It's because these two leads, one, have zero chemistry. None. Huh. Wow. That's one to me. First of all, the dude, who is I believe Zach, he's like Matthew Perry meets Nathan Fillion with none of his charisma. He does look a lot like Matthew Perry. Matthew Perry with Nathan Fillion. Go look that up. It's almost eerie.

[00:11:03] He's just like... He is just cardboard, dude. He just shows up and reads his lines. And then Lacey, she's got a ton of personality and all is just annoying in my opinion. Oh, wow. She has a... I think she's a good actress, but her character is like one of these that's annoyingly like... Aggressive. About everything, but doesn't know how to do anything. Like she's like, no, no, no. You're going to be in the Bastard Bake Off and you're going to do this and you're going to do this. I'm like, yeah, girl. Go get it. What? You don't know how to run a budget at all? Like you don't know how to count numbers? Like what's going on? Right.

[00:11:32] So there's that and then there are so many sweet, meaning well, unimportant people of color in this movie. So many. It's like everyone's character that's not important, save for Ty, which we will get to later, tends to be a person of color and it's like none of those people can have anything of any substance to do and that was terrible about this movie as well. It was not good. I didn't like it and I'm glad that I don't have to watch it ever again. I disagree with you on quite a few fronts. Okay. If you can believe that one, I actually did.

[00:12:02] I understand what you're saying about him. I think he probably has a pretty strong Canadian accent that he was covering up. Yeah. I thought it was British, but can I make sense? Which is why I think his acting fell flat. But even in his acting falling flat, he still somehow was winning to me. Yeah. I liked his character. I can't explain it. It might've been his dressing. I don't know. Like I thought he was a sharp dresser. He was a snazzy dresser. And there's no doubt about that. I can be won over easily by a cardigan.

[00:12:31] But also, gosh, what was the name of the guy that he worked with? Was he the treasurer? I don't know. Guys. I know who you're talking about, but I don't know his name. Anyways, I liked him. This movie was boring enough to where if I had not taken notes, I would not remember any character's name. Yeah. I understand that. All I'm saying is you said that all of the people of color were insignificant. And you couldn't remember his name. Point made. All right.

[00:13:00] Next segment is a segment that we like to call All the Fields. All the Fields. It's when we share, what gave us those autumn fields? That made me go, mm, yes. Autumn time. Mm-hmm. Colored leaves and fall fields. Foliage or foliage? Foilage. Foilage. We are going to start with Dan. Mm. All right. So this is a stretch, but this movie was mostly no fields for me, as you can imagine. I will say this.

[00:13:27] When he bids on her at the end, it doesn't make any sense that no one would have seen him all night at this thing. And for him to be able to bid somehow anonymously, but be there is completely just the dumbest thing in the world. However, it was incredibly cinematic. It's like the filmmakers thought they were making a better movie than they were. When the guy goes, they actually do know the fate of the radio station, because Ty says, and with a very generous donation. I understand. I understand that they got 100% of the goal. But you don't know what's going to happen to the station.

[00:13:58] I genuinely don't understand that whole thing. Well, that, that. We'll get to that later. We will. That pie chart doesn't make any math. No, it doesn't. We'll get to that later. Okay. But then they said, because of the generous donation of our next donor who paid over blah, blah, blah. And it's Zach. And she's like, where? I didn't. Like, it's this weird thing. And it shouldn't have worked because it's so dumb. But they do this bit where all these people are there and the crowd just kind of parts like a red sea. And he's there in his suit staring at her. And like, she's just like, she just melts.

[00:14:28] Yeah. I hate myself for the fact that that worked a little bit. And I will give it an All the Feels credit. I teared. You did not. No. I did. For real. Dear gracious. It's been a little while since one of these movies made me tear. I don't know what it was. All the Feels for me, when Ty, who is this guy, this intern who works at the radio station. And Zach kind of has an interesting mentoring relationship almost with him, which is weird

[00:14:57] because he just kind of hops in and out. But he gives them advice like, oh, you should cut the wires or something. Ty wants to kind of get in the radio, but he's kind of insecure about it. And he encourages them to maybe start a little podcast, which I did take offense to that. There's nothing little about what we're doing. That's right. But Ty's podcast was 10 seconds long. So in fairness, that eight-second podcast was very little. Ty starts the podcast.

[00:15:24] Zach comes up and Ty says, I started the podcast. And Zach's like, let me listen to it. He listens to it. He says, it's really good. It gave me the feels. Like to see the kid. And listen. And that's just, as somebody who has started quite a few podcasts in my day, is a part of a great one right now. So it gave me all those feels. Like somebody enjoying something that you're passionate about. I love it. Yeah. For me, I think. Leave us the iTunes reviews. 100 by Halloween. Good gosh.

[00:15:55] For me personally, I really liked when the Small Town podcast came and visited. It's not a small. It was a television program. No. Radio. Small Town Life was not a TV program. No. So we were all wrong, except. Why was there a camera there following her everywhere she went? Don't know. It's a radio show. It's like NPR type thing, like This American Life. Yeah. But there was a camera there. There wasn't a camera. Right. There was. There was not a camera. There wasn't a camera. I believe that there was. There was not a camera. We're going to take it to the day. Take it to the day. Yep.

[00:16:24] So for me, I love Small Town Festivals. I grew up in a small town. We had one every year called Summer Fest. It was a blast. This took place at fall, so this is a fall fest. This sounds sweet. Fall Fest Fair. It was a fall fest fair, and it was super fun, and the very fact that she got excited and that moment where she was like, oh my gosh, this is kind of a big breakthrough. I felt that. I got excited for her. That was my feel. When was your last big breakthrough? My big big breakthrough. My big big breakthrough.

[00:17:02] The next segment is called Wait What? It is those moments during the movie where we were just like, wait, what? What? And I'm going to start where I left off. Panda, what are your Wait What's? Okay. So first of all, my Wait What is, why are we trying to save this radio station? Because it is the most chronically boring radio station of all time. It's real bad. People literally just rotate out and are like, hey, the crops today looking good. That was my first one.

[00:17:31] That would have actually been a more interesting version of the radio station. Your voice doing the crops are looking good. Yeah, well, I appreciate that. My other Wait What has got to be the interaction between Lacey and the farmer who falls and breaks his arm. That is one of the more cringe-inducing scenes where she interviews him and he says, it's fall and I fell. Oof. What is happening with that dialogue?

[00:17:58] And the boyfriend, Zach, goes, man, you're really good at this. She's not. No one in there would be on radio. For any reason. Oh, my goodness. That guy, I have a lot of questions about him. What's his name? Big Boss Man Jenkins? What are you doing? I loved him. Gosh. I did too. I love him. But I do have, and I'm glad we're doing this now so it doesn't count as one of my Wait What's. This guy promises everyone that comes and helps him harvest as many free apples as they can take home.

[00:18:27] And there are 30 plus people that show up. He has to give away. He's going to give away his whole farm. He is going to lose money. He should have just not picked the apples. This was one of my Wait What's. I want you guys to understand what's happening. This guy can't pick the apples. Because he's got one arm. Because he has one arm. That's right. And if he doesn't pick apples, he's going to lose money. That's right. So what he does is he gives away all the apples. Yep. That's what he does. It's not a better solution. He gives them all away. It's better in that people are getting apples.

[00:18:57] That's right. But the financial crisis is going to be exacerbated by this. But here's my other question. He falls and he breaks his arm and he can't pick apples, but he can build a stage? Is that what he is? We're not building a stage. He's moving a stage with his one arm. He's very strong. Not that heavy, I guess. Yeah. No. Big Boston Jenkins. I just want to say, what you're thinking of is the boom mic. That mic is camera-like in size. It is camera-like in size and I can see why you would think that is a boom mic. I'm glad you pulled that up on your phone, though. You were right. I was wrong. Thank you.

[00:19:26] I have no problem doing that. We took it to the tape and the tape doesn't lie. Took it to the tape and the tape don't lie. Took it to the tape and the tape don't lie. Took it to the tape and the tape don't lie. Go ahead. What's your second way of what, Brian? I'm not going to count that. Okay. Fair enough. That's not fair at all. Go ahead. The very first meeting, the meet cute. They're in the coffee shop and she just inserts her stuff. So he's going to get some coffee and she says, want to know what to get?

[00:19:57] And he says, rightfully so. What? That's right. I wasn't talking to you. And she says, if you want to know what to get, you should ask a local. Local. And then she proceeds to say, you know, you should get. Yeah. Pumpkin Spice Latte. That's right. Yeah. Because only locals. I'm a local. Let me give you the inside track here. The pumpkin spice. Pumpkin Spice. The most popular drink in the month of October. That's the one you should get. You know what's funny is, is in Truly Madly Sweetly, same bit.

[00:20:24] Our specialty cupcake for the locals, pumpkin spice cupcake. Yeah. Oh my goodness. The local secrets. The local secrets. Mm-hmm. And then, okay. And then there's this other line that happens. And I believe it's when she's talking to her aunt about something. And she's hinting at the fact that she's falling in love with Zach. Like she can see it. And she says this line. Besides the leaves falling, I'm wondering if there's something else in the air.

[00:20:54] Yeah. Nope. That's not the way that that line should have gone. No, no, no. It should have been. The leaves are falling. Are you also falling for him? That's right. Like those are the leaves. If the leaves fall, they're no longer in the air. As the leaves are. That's right. No, if it was a balloon festival. And they said, boy, I saw those hot air balloons going up in the sky. I wonder if something else is in the air. That would be how to use that phrase. But then you couldn't use the name of the movie. It could not be falling for you. It'd be floating for you.

[00:21:22] But the problem is not the name of the movie or the leaves. It's her saying leaves falling and something in the air. The leaves are falling. Yes. There must be something else in the air. No, I'm tracking with you. I'm just saying. It's bad all the way around. You can't do balloons. It's not good. Unless it's the fact that there is something in the air and that's what makes the leaves fall. Gravity. Ugh. There's something in the air. Ugh. No. I don't think so. That line. No, I'm 100% with you. And my other way, what I already said it was when he said, want to be on radio?

[00:21:51] Maybe start a small podcast. Yeah. No. Not a small podcast. How dare you? Who do you think you want to be on radio? If iHeartRadio called us up, we'd say not interested. I mean, we'd say no. No. Not interested. Absolutely not. Sticking to my podcast. It's the future. I had a bunch of wait watts and I tried to narrow it down as best I could. And so one is kind of a grab all, which is I'm not sure that the town of Pleasant Valley

[00:22:15] or anyone in it knows exactly what technology is or if they're using it correctly or not. Yeah. The radio DJs are all wearing basically 1994 GPX headphones. Yeah, but they're not wired. Which is the weird. Those headphones are wired. They had the wires behind them. Those are the oldest headphones on the planet. I had a walkman with those headphones. There is no wire. Also, I think Pleasant Valley is the corded mic capital of the world because there's so many times where a wireless mic would have been in handy and they're wrapping that cord

[00:22:45] out there. But lastly, all of the devices don't make the right sounds. Like when he shuts his phone off or shuts something off, it takes a camera snapping sound. And then when his phone has a notification, it's like it's this weird like wonk, wonk. And then he looks down at this code that he's working on for the budget program. Yeah. And it is like size 88 font. Yeah. He's got it zoomed in. Yeah.

[00:23:13] He has to see this one specific line of code. It was the most... That's a 60-inch. There's something wrong with that. Make it big. I can't see it. But did you notice like for the very first like 20 minutes, you actually don't know it's a budging program. And they speak about their program in the most generic terms possible. Which actually leads me to my second... I was thankful they gave us something. No, no, no. Because the whole... In fact, in my notes, it said, what's the program for like the first 20 minutes? I will say this. That's my second wait what, although I'm going to have to leave a lot on the table.

[00:23:44] We know you're going to squeeze it in somehow. I am. You're right. But my second wait what is, this town has such a very... A massive budgeting problem. When they... Like between Lacey and the town, it is like no one knows you can't spend money you don't have. Like the... Forget the envelope system. They just don't have the see money, spend money system. Like they've been giving money to the radio station and it took a budgeting program. I mean like... And then she blames that program. Like how dare you?

[00:24:14] It's not that that program was taking money away from the radio station. The program showed that there was no money to get the radio station. This is... And then Lacey, she's got this whole bachelor bake-off. She's already got a venue and everything and then somebody's like budget and she's like, what's that? Like what... But to be fair, she also said an event this big with only three bachelors was exhausting to plan. I just... Well, it is exhausting when you're spending money like you haven't and you clearly don't. She's trying to raise money and she's like, give me the Pleasant Valley

[00:24:43] resort, please. Finest room only. Like what is she doing? It was a... That was a... Just a complete and utter disregard of how things work. You think they've actually been like have the DJs and the producer, have they actually been getting paid for years? They're like, take your word for it. Hey, my chick keeps bouncing, but next time. I'll get it next time. I also... I really love the guy who's playing the producer behind the glass. He just had the goofiest call. He did. He was like, oh, hey, hey, hey. I'd love five jobs. Please, somebody give me a paycheck.

[00:25:12] But also, the radio station... Did they... Do they play music? No. Because there was a lot of... It says the farmer's almanac. Because this is what... The voice of Pleasant Valley. Okay. This is what would happen sometimes. The bouchers are going to be down the street later on today. And it's at that moment that you would think maybe the music's fading in. The music's... Yeah, yeah. But no. It just... That's it. They couldn't afford any more music after Colby Calais took all their money for the one song.

[00:25:42] I think I'm falling for you. Oh, that's beautiful. Thanks. Well done. I will say... Bubbly... Everything... There's a naming and branding problem in Pleasant Valley, though. I mean, there's one that's... There's a flower store, and it's called Emma's Flower, singular. Yep. Just one more letter, guys. Right. She sells more than one flower. I don't know... I think they ran out of space on the window. You think so? I don't know. Oh, we missed... They didn't have the budget for it, probably. Well, we're out of money. We can't afford an S. That budget program showed me we can't afford an S. My S envelope's full.

[00:26:11] And also, again, I know we limited this to two-way ones, but Emma... What Emma volunteers to do... Oh. So, hey, we gotta cut something somewhere I can't buy the flowers. I'll go pick some for you. Yeah. Good for you, Emma. What? But what? Everybody else is doing something substantive, Emma. You can't just go pick a bunch of weeds and say you contributed. I gave you the good ones. Trust me. Yeah. Not selling them.

[00:26:43] It's time for What the Hallmark. Yeah, it is. The time of the show where we like to wonder what maybe happened before or after this movie. And we try to get some answers. I'm going to start with Panda. For me, it's the guy who very early on in the movie gets rejected for not being able to cook. His pinwheels are burnt. Even though we've already learned that the treasurer can't cook either. But he got rejected. I want to know what happened to that guy.

[00:27:10] Because not only does he not get in, but then finally when there's an open spot and they really need somebody, a woman takes over. Yeah, imagine being this guy. He shows up to the fundraiser. He's like, I can't wait to try. Oh, there's an open spot. A grunt. I was the only bachelor left and still didn't make the cut. Boy, what a doofus struggle. I want to know what happened to him. It's not good. No. I'll tell you that much. It's heartbroken. I'll go.

[00:27:38] My What the Hallmark is Ty. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Man, I like Ty. I like Ty's character. I liked everything about Ty. Yeah. I thought the kid was not in high school. I was shocked to find out. I don't know if they say he's in school, but when does school take place in Pleasant Valley? Because he's legitimately always around. Yeah. Is this an internship where he just doesn't get any grades in school? He's a senior.

[00:28:08] He gets out early. That's right. He gets out at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. It's one heck of an internship. And the fact that at some point, dude, if this is the thing you want to be in, come on. Let's go. Yeah. Right. And then also just like he's messing with this board. He's got it open. [00:28:37] I will say if you're the only member of AV Club, then you can sound smart in that room. Right. You're the only person in the room. I would like to also point out that the man's solution, Zach's solution for Ty was just Google it. Yeah. That's right. Have you tried to Google it? I was in an AV Club with two people. We Googled it. That's what we did. I just, there was a lot more about Ty that I just wanted to know a lot more about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. For many reasons, but I'll leave it at that. Of course. And I'll kick it to Thompson. Well, you guys only did one with the homework each, which means I get as many as I want. Is that?

[00:29:06] Because that's what this segment is. Got it. But I will point out when you don't do an actual. Pleasant Valley has a bunch of very weird, like, traditions. And I want to know the history of those traditions. For instance, the Jam Fest. Look, I'm not trying to tell you you can't have Jam Fest. Right. But what I am telling you is, A, honey is not a jam. It is not. There's a whole honey station, so make it Honey Fest for crying out loud.

[00:29:35] And two, more people showed up to pick apples with big boss man Jenkins than showed up for the Jam Fest. For Jam Fest. That's right. Would you go to Jam Fest? I would not. But here's the thing is, if you thought Jam Fest wasn't well attended, then have I got a lantern walk for you? Because one, two things. One is, there's no need for any lanterns on that walk. There were more lights on that walk that were not lanterns than we could possibly need. And two, there were maybe 12 people in attendance at the lantern walk. It felt like a couples event. It did.

[00:30:03] Not only that, but a place where you would not stop from kissing your girlfriend because you heard rustling behind you. Yeah. But also the ears on that girl. Yeah. That's rabbit ears. It's almost like Zach didn't want to kiss her. Hey, here's... It was like, oh, what was that? Here's... No. Well, Lacey heard it, or Zach heard it. One of them did. It was Lacey. It was Lacey.

[00:30:33] She was like, no, no, I can't possibly. There's something in the air. Some fallen leaves. Yeah. So that was like... That was a big one for me. Second of all, I want a Buckman Brothers movie. Oh, boy. And I think we all do. I think we all need that. Because, man, would that be a fun time for 85 minutes? What? Just two Baking Buckman Brothers. I make a pumpkin pie. Oh, you can't. I bring muffins. You stole my ingredients. Well, yeah, I can't do the other one because it's a... Wait, what?

[00:31:03] Vanilla is the only flavor we can go with. I'm sorry. Sorry about that. Oh, and lastly, like, I do want to know a little bit more about small town life and why everyone has to audition in Boston. Specifically, if you're already going to be in the small town. You know, you would think they could just do an audition real quick. But apparently small town life is very rigid about all their auditions being back in Boston. But also they're hosts. But she's not going to be a host. She's going to be... A correspondent. A correspondent.

[00:31:30] If her job is to go from small town to small town, it seems as if her home base could be in Pleasant... Pleasant Town? Pleasant Valley. All I want to point out is that she's getting ready to leave for six months. And they've already established that the only reason that radio station is successful and that there's a bridge to the town at all is because of her. Literally, the movie is pointless. Yeah. And not only that, but can we talk about this pie chart that saves the radio station?

[00:31:53] He says that we've gotten 75% of the money made and there's 25% left in the pie. And it doesn't take a mathematician. And it's like... And somebody got us 5% more to 80%. And they take off like half of it. They just take off half of it right there. But this is why there was a budging problem. And then after that, there's a couple more Bachelors still around and they don't use the pie chart anymore. Right. What? Like it's this big countdown and we're ripping... My whole thing was... Okay.

[00:32:23] This is going to be the whole plan. Right? The whole time? Regardless of venue. So the original plan was to do the whole thing but at a nicer venue. That's right. So there is nothing that leads me to believe that the pie chart, while yes, it does make up a whole... It does. ...that that whole is going to be enough to pay for the radio station because it's clear, again, budgeting not the best. It seems as if they came up with a number. What's weird is they couldn't... The writers refused to come up with... They didn't want to do any research on how much it would cost to save a radio station.

[00:32:53] So they just said the amount of money we need to save it. Right. That could have been $100. $100. The Buckman brothers brought in $10 each. Zach wrote a check for a hundo and he's the big spender. We don't know. Yeah. It would have been nice to get more details on what's the amount needed. How much did they spend on the event? Because there was still money. $100 by Halloween, for instance. $100 by Halloween. Can you talk about that real quick? I mean, if we could get $100 ratings and reviews by Halloween, that would be super. And that's a number that's tangible. It's good.

[00:33:22] It's a solid number. And it makes for a great hashtag. And if we don't get it, we shut the whole thing down. That's right. And we've actually got a pie chart that Bran's been working on. Yeah. You know what? I'm going to be posting a picture tomorrow of where we're at. That's right. In relation to where we need to be. That's right. The $100 by hashtags. Guys, that's it.
