I felt really optimistic. I felt so good about it. You felt the problem was that the others weren't professionals. That was the problem. Of course. Well, what happened, Panda's actually feeling fine. He was insistent on, guys, I need to be bigger. I need to be as big as possible. That's right.

[00:03:43] No new movies for the next few weeks. And so we asked you, we got the most, we had a lot of responses. We got the most responses for October Kiss, which is what we're going to do today. Dan, tell everybody about next, next week's a very, next week is a historic. We're taking a little, taking a little exit ramp over to Netflixville, I believe. Yeah, that was one way to say it. Next week is historic because the movie of the week for Deck to Hallmark will not be

[00:04:10] airing on Hallmark Channel nor has it ever aired on Hallmark Channel. Easy for me to say. It is the Netflix movie. Maybe we all should have stayed up. It is the Netflix movie, End of the Road. No. I don't know the name of the movie. It's Love Guaranteed. Actually. Love Guaranteed, I believe. So, yeah. Have you heard about this movie, Panda? I've never heard of it. Have you heard about the Lord? What he's doing in my life. I heard he's doing some great things in people's lives. Yeah, he's crushing it. I believe it's Love Guaranteed.

[00:04:40] Guaranteed. It's Love Guaranteed. Yes, Love Guaranteed. And the reason we're doing it is not because, you know, we could find another Hallmark film movie, but we've got a lot of requests for this movie. Our inbox has been flooded. Our DMs, people have slid into our DMs for this movie. And so we feel like we have to. There's some Hallmark regs in there. There's some Hallmark regs. And there's some, there's a fall, some fall flavor in there. And we were going to do it for Bramble Jam Plus. We thought, why not just give it to everybody? Give it to everybody. We give it away. That's exactly right. And so we're doing it. Love Guaranteed Panda. How do you feel?

[00:05:10] I feel like you just heard this for the first time. So how do you feel about it? Can I tell you how excited I am about this? Because even though I've never heard of the movie till just now, it sounds like a winner. Yeah. Yeah. People love it on the Netflix. And then the following week, it's officially fall. Fall is here. And we dive into the five guaranteed fall harvest movies. I just, I'm so excited about Country at Heart getting postponed again. I just can't wait.

[00:05:40] And you know what? Can I do one more teaser for next week? Because this is going to be a really exciting week. We got to love Guaranteed on Tuesday. On Thursday, no interview. We are going to recap the year so far because we're not going to be able to do that after fall harvest because Christmas comes and comes in hard. So we're going to give people our five favorite movies of the year so far. And I have to pick five. You have to pick five. Five of the favorites so far. And it's going to be hard to even remember a lot of the movies, but we're going to do our best.

[00:07:32] October Kiss originally aired on October 17th, 2015. 2015. And it went a little something like this. Poppy is her name. And you will not forget it. Yes. And she is a yoga instructor, but a really bad one. So bad, in fact, that she asked an elderly woman to take over her class and she just leaves. She also works at a pizza place. Bad at that too. Quits that too. Goes on a date with a guy. Bad at that too. Breaks up with the guy before they get to the car.

[00:08:02] She realizes though, in all of this, that she is good with kids as she is with her sisters, kids. And she's really good at, you know, making kids laugh and doing the imaginations. And so she decides I'm going to become a nanny. So her first job is working with a guy. His name is Ryan. His kids are not thrilled that she is there, but we'll see what happens.

[00:08:31] But this first day they're really out to get her. So she tries to quit that job. And he says, listen, just commit until Halloween, which is an undisclosed amount of time. Um, and, uh, and just, just see what happens. So she's back. She takes the kids to a Halloween store so they can buy all the Halloween decorations and they can have some fun. And so they decorate the house for Halloween and the little girl stays up to see her dad's reaction.

[00:08:57] And he doesn't even notice the decorations because he's on his phone like a monster. And she's like, you didn't even notice. Yes, you never notice anything, dad. So Poppy is trying to get Ryan to be more involved with his kids. Poppy's her name? Poppy is her name. And he is just so busy with a new app called, uh, called food with friends. Remember words with friends? Yeah.

[00:09:27] So he is just too busy and he's, she's like, just try a little bit. And so she helps the kids station intervention to tell him that he's a bad dad. And if you think it's not going to work and that she's going to get fired, you'd be wrong. He loves it. I love being reminded of how bad of a father I am. Uh, he's going out on dates with a girl named Abigail. Um, but the kids really don't like Abigail. They want Poppy to be their mommy. Uh, they do a slow dance.

[00:09:57] Uh, Ryan and, uh, Poppy do a little slow dance. They get really close. There's even a leg kick. Uh, and so there's hope for mommy Poppy after all. Uh, they then, uh, play some football together. He tackles her. It's a whole thing. And Abigail shows up and it gets real Aki real fast. And he, she stays for dinner. It's a little thing. And, and he's like, I can't go trick or treat. And I got to go to this meeting, uh, with Abigail. And that's, they're really sad about Halloween now.

[00:10:25] Uh, he, he walks, uh, he walks Poppy out. Uh, he walks, uh, uh, uh, Abigail out first. They kiss. Poppy sees that. Poppy gets real sad. And so when Ryan walks Poppy out, Poppy is like, I'm not coming back here. I'm getting too involved. I can't do this. And, and, and, and, and I'm just gonna, once Halloween's here, I'm just gonna leave. And he's like, why wait till Halloween? Why don't you just go now?

[00:10:54] And she's like, okay. So she's a little bit sad about this. Um, and, uh, so it's time Ryan and Abigail are, are working side by side, uh, trying to get this app ready for what's the guy's, uh, what's the guy, some guy, some, some hot, some hot, some hotshot deal maker from Japan. He's here. Um, who is, and he's going to make the app go global. Uh, and, uh, and, uh, and she, and Abigail's like, listen, I've seen the way that you look at Poppy.

[00:11:22] And so I'm going to step on out of this so you can, uh, step on in with, uh, with, uh, Poppy. I'm going to step out. I'm going to step all the way over to Japan where I'm going to take a new job. Uh, and, uh, so pause. So then Poppy realizes that she's in love with Ryan. It's has it's Halloween night. Kids are coming to her house trick or treating. And she's like, I miss the kids. Cause you look like the kids. Kinda, uh, I miss the dad. Cause he's a hunk. I'm going to go, I'm going to dress up like a mermaid. And I'm going to tell him how I feel.

[00:11:52] And so she dresses up like a mermaid and, um, Ryan's in the middle of his big presentation on Halloween night. You know, the kind. And, uh, he realized that he's in love to leaves mid presentation. Um, Poppy shows up at the house and Ryan is like, I was just coming to find you. Uh, we don't need a nanny. We need, uh, we need you. I need you. They kiss the kids. See that in their palm. Happy Halloween. And that was October. Yes.

[00:12:23] What's great is his pandas normally late on that. Anyway, that's true. So that was extra late. That's exactly right. We did it. Yeah. We did do it. Are you guys ready to take a quick, a quick snoozer? A quick, a quick, a quick break. Yeah. Um, we'll be right back. We'll be right back after this. Yeah. Found it.

[00:12:52] And we're back, man. Those ads were so good. They're almost as good as the music going into the ads. Well, you would think that we bring in a different soundboard every week and you just, it's just a hunt and pack situation of you trying to figure out which button to push. We've been doing this show a long time. Can I tell you guys what happened? Please. I, uh, forgot that we had a, a read and, uh, it really frazzled me.

[00:13:21] And I, and I, it just, I, sometimes when I get frazzled, I just start hitting stuff. And I don't know what to do. And so that's exactly what happened. I get the feeling that neither one of you are, are the people that I need to turn to. If you just get thrown something off the cuff, dude, if there's a fire, I'm probably just going to sit down and take it. There's nothing I could do about it. Hey, we have four segments here. That's what I do know.

[00:13:47] Uh, they kind of talk about this movie, this classic, the all time great time fall classic, fall classic October kiss. And I'm going to go to the guy that loves fall more than life itself. Wow. He claims, he claims that he likes fall more than his daughter. He claims that he likes fall more than Christmas. That's true. All right. It's October kiss. We always start with the hot take. And I always start my good friend Panda. Panda. What did you think about this fall classic? Guys?

[00:14:17] Let me say it. This is the best fall movie ever made period. The end. I will watch it now until the end of Halloween. Maybe every day. I love this movie. Hardcore. It's great. Great. You're going to watch this. What more do you want for me? It's got fall decorations. It has Ashley Williams being charming. It's a great, it's a great movie. What do you guys want? It's a great movie. Almost flawless.

[00:14:46] There's a few flaws in it, but it's pretty much the best ever. Almost flawless. Almost flawless. The best fall movie ever. Ever. So you're going to watch this one every day until Halloween. You say there might be a few weeks or I miss, but overall a few weeks that you miss. So full weeks that you're going to miss. Yeah. How'd you go from every day to missing full weeks? Because as soon as I said every day, I realized that's a lot of days in between. How many days until Halloween? 53 days. 53 days. How many of those 53 days are you going to watch this movie?

[00:15:15] I'll probably watch it another time or two. Okay. Thank you for that. Yeah. I love this movie. Are you kidding me? Lots of fall feels. I love the Halloween. Halloween often times gets a, gets the little kick out from, from, from a home right. And I don't like it because Halloween to me is fall. Like what I think about fall, I think of PSLs and I think about Halloween and how excited I am to go trick or treat, get the candy, eat my kids candy.

[00:15:44] Make sure that he only has a couple pieces and then I'm going to eat the rest of it. You guys know. And I, I'm excited about that and I'm excited to finally get a movie that gave me those Halloween feels that made me really excited. Uh, this I think is my favorite Ashley Williams performance. I like Christmas and evergreen more just because it's evergreen and I love it. Um, but as far as a performances go, this is my favorite Ashley Williams performance. I thought it was really fun. I thought she was really fun and I bought her. I, I believe now that she'd be, she'd be a really great nanny.

[00:16:13] I believe she'd be really great with kids. I imagine she's a good mom, uh, because of this movie. Um, and so great performance, great fall feels, great Halloween feels, great movie. Um, and you know what? I'm, uh, I, I probably won't watch another time or two cause I've got five other fall movies to watch between now and Halloween six. If you can't love a guaranteed next week, Netflix movie. Uh, but overall big fans from brand Dan. Yeah, no, no guys. No, I'm sorry.

[00:16:39] Oh, I, it's not probably a dumpster fire because of the Williams performance. She's super quirky, but this movie suffers from a huge case of bad child acting. Um, and I, I'm sorry to be that. I take no pleasure in being that guy. I'm sure both of these children have grown in the last five years in their craft, but the kids in this movie just can't not get it together. Can't.

[00:17:09] Uh, and on top of that, there's so much about the movie that just doesn't really make a lot of sense. Having said that Ashley Williams is great in this movie. And I have a theory and my theory is, is that Hallmark finds really good, quirky, funny actors. And they just squeeze that life right out of them because Paul Campbell in window wonderland is full snark, full quirk.

[00:17:36] And as you see his trajectory in movies, by the time we get to weddings every weekend, like he's just a standard Hallmark leading man at that point. And Ashley Williams, after watching this movie, I'm like, look, I like Ashley Williams and other movies. I think she does a good job, but watching her in this, I'm like, where, where was this? Like this is like full quirky, funny Ashley Williams.

[00:17:59] And it has just by and large disappeared into this more like amenable Hallmark leading lady. And so this was her first Hallmark movie window wonderland was Paul Campbell's. That's my new theory is, is the first time that these people get to do this, they get a little bit more leeway on being themselves. And so that helps this movie. It's better than some fall movies I've seen, but I just was in most of the movie.

[00:18:23] I was bewildered by how terrible a father this guy was by how weirdly egotistical Ashley Williams character was and by how bad the children were at acting. And so it was not a good movie. And I'm sorry. It's bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. Have you guys heard the rumors going around about Christmas time? What's that? The rumors have been going around for a while now. And I think it might be happening this year. It's the, it's the Williams sisters, William Paisley and Ashley Williams doing a movie together. And it's a, and it's a double feature. What do you mean?

[00:18:53] It's two movies, two movies. Whoa, no, but they link together. Like they're together. Oh my God. So they don't stand on their own. That would be insanity. We'll see what happens. And it's Hallmark. That's, that's the word on the street. According to sleepy pause, sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, but sleepy, Kitty pause. She's on it. She's on it. Oh, holiday viewing. That's exactly right. I think it's actually ho ho holiday. And, and, and that that's a movie that they have been teasing together for, uh, at least a year or two.

[00:19:21] And this is the year that rumors have it, that it's happening. Rumor has it. We'll see what happens, but shout out to ho ho holiday viewing. I mean, come on. Great. If you like Hallmark movies and you're not following her on Twitter, you're missing out. She has all the inside, all the inside. And she's not paying us a dime for this. She's just wonderful. Just love it. I love that fall. Sleepy kitty Paul. Um, Hey, do you guys, uh, you guys want to talk about some fields? Sure. All fields Panda. I imagine you have buckets. Some people have buckets of Halloween candy.

[00:19:50] I believe you have buckets of fall fields just from this movie. How about you tell us about it? Yeah, guys, what didn't give me the fall fields in this movie? I mean, you have the, the, the scenery, you have the candy and the Halloween and it was great, but there's one scene in particular that for me, even though it's a kind of a dumb scene, it's a really dumb scene, but it's, uh, it's a lot of fun when she at the very end, when she is contemplating just life and the fact that her and, uh, what's the guy's name?

[00:20:20] Ryan. Ryan. Yeah. That Ryan and her broke up and, and everything. And she's alone on Halloween and the kids that she thinks are the original kids come to her door. It's not them, even though they're dressed in identical suits or outfits and stuff like that. She sits there and she unloads and tells them their entire, her entire life story and everything. That's a really charming scene to me. And that worked for me, even though the scene's kind of dumb for me, it gave me all the fall

[00:20:48] fields and all the happy feels. I loved it. That may be the worst scene in the movie. That may be my least favorite scene in the entire movie. How is that your, I mean, she thinks that two other rando kids happen to be these two kids. And then when they're not, she proceeds to just make it all about her anyway. I just, it's terrible. That's funny. That's a funny bit. That's a funny bit. It's not a funny bit. It's a funny bit.

[00:21:14] Um, so you, when you, when you hear me and you love these movies, you watch them because there is a large part of your soul that loves cheese, that loves the cheesiness. Oh, that comes alongside of these movies. And so I told brand, I hated him during this movie. And I can, I apologize on air about that. I'm sorry. That's okay. I'm sorry, buddy. I'm used to it by now. You tell me you hate me at least three times a week. Uh, you love to cheese. If you love the, if you're into these movies, you at least have to come to terms with the

[00:21:44] fact that there is a large part of you that loves cheesiness and the love of cheesiness helps you get over a lot of the fatal flaws. And it also helps you, uh, makes you in fact, love when you get incredibly cheesy lines. I love it. It is, it is not an ironic love. It is not a, I like laughing at these bad lines. It is a, uh, the, the more cheese in a, in a line, the better for brand.

[00:22:13] And that brings me to, I believe the final lines of the movie. Yes. Ashley Williams shows up in a, in a mermaid outfit. And that, that ties in the fact that the beginning of the movie, the way that she got those kids to come downstairs is by telling Ryan, Hey, tell them I'm a mermaid. And they come down and they're like, you're not a mermaid. So they, she dresses up like a mermaid. She shows up at the house and, and the kids see her.

[00:22:41] They're, they're pumped that poppy's back and who wouldn't be. Um, and, and, and he says, the boy, little boy says she is a mermaid. And the daughter straight faced looks back at him and says, she's our mermaid. I mean, come on. I looked over at Brandon. He was crying. I was not crying. I was crying. I was very, he was crying.

[00:23:09] Brand was crying at she's our mermaid. That has a great line. Are you anywhere near tears Panda? Yeah, no, you weren't. That's a lot. Literally as Brian recapped it. I started cheering up. That's a great. That's a great. No, no, no, no. She's our mermaid. She's so true. I mean, come on. Listen, if there is ever any doubt in you as a person, if these movies are for you watching

[00:23:39] into this movie and if you, if you smile your end, if you are like Dan and you just find yourself being upset, then the movies aren't for you. Get out of here. If the end of this movie made you happy, even a little bit, come back for more because the cheese is, is what makes these movies. They're selling people and watching those movies, right? Because there might be some people. No, there's some people out there that don't. Yeah. And they're wrong. A lot of people. I guys, I believe that this is going to be the episode that brings a lot of new people on. This is the one. This is the one.

[00:24:09] So I, she's our, I get you. Um, what's weird is, is that my feels is involves the mermaid bit, which I don't think is a bad bit throughout the movie. Um, I think it makes the movie stand out, which is great. Um, I disagree with Panda about that one scene. I also disagree that I had a lot of fall feels. I had a lot of Halloween feels in this movie, Halloween and fall kind of are separate entities to me. I don't like you have, you have it PSL and then Halloween.

[00:24:35] I mean, that's not how I like, I've really, I like fall when the air is crisp, you got to wear long sleeves, football, uh, you know, leaves. You've got, um, decorations that are a little bit more fall foliage as you like to love. You love to say Panda, you love to go look at the fall foliage and then obviously coffee or cider. There's not much of that, like that kind of stuff in this movie. It really is about Halloween. Those are harvest feels. Yeah. Those are harvest. Well, so these are Halloween to me. It was a Halloween movie and I was fine with that.

[00:25:05] I didn't get a lot of fall feels from it. The first time though, that they don't want to come downstairs and she says, tell them I'm a mermaid is really one of the better pieces of writing that I've seen in these movies because there could be anything in most times in Hallmark movies. She, when they don't want to come downstairs, she's going to walk up the stairs and slowly talk them out of it. But instead this, this girl just goes, Hey, just tell them I'm a mermaid. And that's a funny bit. It's funny. The kids are like, wait a minute. What?

[00:25:35] And they walked down the stairs. I thought it completely worked by the end of the movie. They had hammered that thing into the ground so hard. The she's our mermaid bit did not work, but that very well could not have been the line. It could have been the delivery. Hey, Panda. Hey, Panda. Yeah. She's our mermaid. She's our mermaid. She's our mermaid. But yeah, the first time. I'm going to get she's our mermaid tattooed right on my heart. Do it. You don't even like needles. I bet I'd do it for this. That's how much I love that line. You heard it. You heard it here. I liked the first time that they did the mermaid bit. That's my feels.

[00:26:57] where they're in a convertible and Zoe, the little girl slips a PB and J sandwich underneath Poppy and she sits on it. The thing is, guys, I can't figure out when she actually does that because I went back and I watched that scene two or three times just to see, oh, did we, you know, slip it in? She doesn't. So it's not a thing. She doesn't do it.

[00:27:19] I think the only way it could have happened is, is that at one point, uh, before she gets out of the car, she could have slipped it over the back of the seat, but they didn't do a great job filming that because based upon the film, like they do cut away at one point. Right. But I don't know how she did it either. I assumed that was in the passenger seat and, and, and Poppy was reaching for something. And then she was like, I sat on it and I was like, I don't understand. I don't understand the physics of it. It doesn't make any sense.

[00:27:47] Uh, at one point, uh, the main guy says, Hey, listen, uh, I'm very efficient at what I do. And the Abigail's the name of the lady, right? She, uh, his, his date. Yes. She says, Hey, he says, you sent me 30 emails from Japan. And then he responded all of them in one night. And he says, I'm efficient that way. No, Maya suggests to you, that's not actually efficient answering 30.

[00:28:17] 30 emails in response in the middle of the night. Go ahead and toss it out there. It doesn't seem efficient to me. I, especially if he responded to each of the individual email, like, bro, you should read all those emails, get the bullet points together, send one email back end of end of email. That's it. That's all you should do. That would be efficient. The fact that he called himself efficient for that bothered me as well. For sure. Yeah. Final, final thing that kind of just makes me a little concerned is the cook cookie decorating scene.

[00:28:46] Okay. We see the kids decorating cookies and we see Ashley Williams, decorating cookies and they show, they show the initial cookie decorating. No one's doing a great job. But then when she holds up the cookie, these are the best looking cookies. Perfect. They're flawless. And there's not a, there's no one at that table doing flawless cookies. Like why is she not in cookie decorating? If she's that good? Like she can't make a pizza. Can't do yoga. Cookie decorating is a thing.

[00:29:16] Like you should go ahead and pursue that with all of your might. Cause you're not bad at that. Yeah. I'm with you there. Those cookies were, were exceptional. Impeccable. Yeah. The first time that Ashley Williams is talking to the kids, or maybe it's the second time they're up in the rooms and, uh, and she, she, she's like, uh, what, what, if you're a mermaid, what am I thinking right now? And Ashley Williams says, you're thinking, what am I thinking right now? And the girls like shocked blown away.

[00:29:46] And girl, you gotta think of anything. Do you, have you never played to one of my thinking game? You think about something random, like toasters. She's not going to guess that you don't just think, oh, I'm thinking about the game that we're playing right now. She'll never guess it. That's, that's not how you play the game. Little girl. Come on. Come on, little girl. Be better. Um, Ashley Williams, Poppy's favorite food is anything with mustard on it for the life of anything with mustard. You monster. Just put mustard on it and you like it.

[00:30:16] It's she's the anti panda. I, I, I, I am all out on that. Um, we, I think we're, we, we've all had, uh, you know, you know, babysitters, nanny, whatever. Um, it is at least somewhat, uh, you, you, you clean up. Yeah. You leave the house clean. Yeah. You don't, you don't, you don't wait until the dad gets home. It's a mess. And you're like, deuces. I'm out. She should be fired.

[00:30:44] When I, when our kids were young and we had a nanny, the walking into the house, the, the nannies that we had that were great, always the house was clean or they were in the process of cleaning it. I mean, sometimes you can't help it, you know, it is what it is, but to just decide the house is going to look like this and I'm just going to sit cross-legged on the floor. I don't understand how that meets the qualifications of the job at all. At that point. That's real bad. Yeah. I'm not a fan.

[00:31:12] Um, I just want to say quickly, I hate, uh, food with friends app. I hate it. Yeah. Uh, if, if I am out to eat by myself, it's because I want to be, it just sounds like a way for people to get murdered. Yeah. Like if you're a serial killer, you want to eat together. You have the food with friends app. It just on your first page. Like that is like, you're telling me that I can get people to bring the knife to me. What's happening today. What's out there to catch today.

[00:31:42] That is real bad. Are apps not worldwide? Yeah. That is a question that I just pay into your attack. Boy, our apps not worldwide. Why would they need a deal with a company to make an app to make an app work in Japan? Uh, some, some apps are, uh, defined by region and like certain locations. But that's, but that's out of choice, right? Uh, it depends on the country at times. I understand. They can block usage and stuff.

[00:32:10] Well, I understand in certain countries because of the government. Right. Or because of rights of like the movies or TVs or whatever they're using. But I understand that they would need someone to translate it all into Japanese and they would need a partner over there to make it better for, for Japanese consumption. But the idea that they would need a company to come over and to give like to partner with them to produce the app just seems weird. They've already written all of the code for it.

[00:32:39] I was wondering if it was like a venture capital kind of thing. Like these guys were going to invest to make sure it could go global. Like they just didn't have the money themselves. And so it was kind of like a startup trying to get money. Yeah. That's what I thought. Yeah. I'll talk about the company later. Yeah. Um, the, uh, the little girl says that their mom used to decorate for Halloween all the time and I, it's February. Here's a jack-o'-lantern. I don't know.

[00:33:07] You can't say that all the time. The number of days I would come home and mom was just throwing up Halloween decorations. Here's a skeleton. And last but not least, uh, it is Halloween night. Ashley poppies at home. Um, and her sister comes out and she is very clearly a starfish. No doubt about it. She has four points of the starfish and the fifth point where the fifth point would be is her head.

[00:33:34] So it is obvious that she's a starfish, but poppy gives her a hard time. It's like, where's the fifth point? Where'd you want the fifth point to be? Poppy? The fifth point is where do you want to block her eyesight and get the fifth points are head. It was very clear to me. Yeah. I thought I had just miscounted. I took their word for it, but I was like, it looks okay to me. I'm wrong about the fifth points ahead.

[00:33:58] The fact that she worked on that costume all evening and had to apologize is just not okay. Like it's a great costume. Sorry. I ran out of fabric. Hey Dan, while you're talking, you want to go? Can we talk about the Halloween night presentation?

[00:34:16] Can we talk about the fact that this guy and clearly 50 other people that probably have families have all decided that we have a full evening presentation of an app on Halloween night. Guys, it's just not happening. You could do that during the day. You could do it any other night.

[00:34:42] There's not a world where this is so important that they're having an evening, a Halloween evening presentation. I would just encourage you everyone out there as we get closer to Halloween. If you have a job and your boss is encouraging you to work late on Halloween, find another job. There are lots of jobs out there. If you have a boss who does not respect all that is Halloween, like go home. You got to go home. You got to treat trick or treat with your family.

[00:35:08] When I was a basketball coach, I would forget all the time that it was Halloween because I didn't have kids old enough to go trick or treating. And I would just be like my assistant coach would go, hey, I'm going to I'm going to dip out a little early. And I'm like, why? Why? I had to go trick or treat with my kids. And I was like, totally get it. Understand. And then I realized all these kids that I'm coaching, they wanted to go home for trick or treating. So we would move practice up earlier. And this is for something like this is just part of what you do. Dude, no one is scheduled because this presentation had to be scheduled. What weeks in advance?

[00:35:37] The only day on the calendars Halloween night. Don't be such a monster. It's a monster move for a scary night. It's real bad. Sometimes guys, sometimes. You're so good. Thank you. She's a good one. Hey, she's our mermaid. She's our mermaid. She's our mermaid. Right. Poppy leaves the job as nanny and goes back to her job being a yoga instructor. We will get to that in the what the hallmark.

[00:36:03] Having said that, the old lady, Mrs. Clemmer, comes up to her and says, I know boy trouble, blah, blah, blah. And then she says this line. It sounds like unfinished business, which is the worst kind. It is not the worst kind of business. It's not the worst kind of business. Some things just have to be unfinished for a little while. Shady business. Worse. If you're involved in shady business, that's worse than unfinished business. Risky business. You don't want to be. You hate a risky business, Panda.

[00:36:34] Guys, my life is just full of risky businesses and I don't like it. Yeah. That's where I'm at. Sometimes business is unfinished for a little bit. That's not the worst thing in the world. It's definitely not the worst kind of business. I can tell you that flat out. Bankrupt business. Far worse. All of it. To just stop it. Unfinished business means you probably still have the opportunity to finish it, which is nice. Yeah. I do want to make it clear. Abigail sees, this all happens.

[00:37:04] Abigail, the redhead Baxterette, she sees that the foreign numbers have come in. Okay? That's what she said. She saw the foreign numbers have come in and she decides after calling Ryan one time, that she's got to go drive to his house to make sure he's okay because the foreign numbers came in and he didn't answer his phone. So she decides I'm driving over the house. So a few problems.

[00:37:32] One is the amount of just gumption and lack of personal boundaries there is absurd. But second of all, I thought that there weren't any foreign numbers yet. Right. They're not, they're not in any foreign markets. The whole thesis of this guy's job is if I can expand this app into foreign markets, then I can spend more time with my children. There are no foreign numbers. They're not a thing. Right?

[00:38:04] I don't get it. I don't get it. But business boy, Panda with the shrug of approval. I'm there for it. Like maybe they were doing some early demographic testing. Yeah. There you go. I do want to question the fact that both Poppy and her sister believed that Ryan is a great guy, such a catch, and he spends zero time with his children under any circumstances. This guy is avoiding these kids at all costs.

[00:38:31] That is a legitimate character flaw as a human being. If you are not spending time with your children, it just is. I will say if the guy that you're interested in has kids and those kids come up to you and say the line. Oh, this is no, this line is it. Thank you for making our dad spend time with us. If the kids say that, it might not be a great fit. Thanks for me.

[00:38:58] Thanks for forcing our father to spend time with us at the very least. Just see how he does for a while. Like is, you know, because you go through seasons of life where like, oh, I'm going to make a change and then that change doesn't come into anything. And then you just go back to working on Halloween nights. Like at least just wait and see before falling in love with this. Take a chance. Make a change. Break away. I have a legitimate question about this though. Are we, has this just been like recently that he's been working all the time?

[00:39:27] Did you guys get their impression or is this like years long trend where he just works constantly? The kids and you really shouldn't trust anything the kids say from an acting perspective, but the kids act like he's not spent time with them in years. That was my read on it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. He's a grown man. It's not, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. He's a grown man. It's not, I'm not trying to be super macho here. That pumpkin maybe weighs 50 pounds. Maybe he should be able to pick up the pumpkin.

[00:39:57] I'm sorry. Yeah. Come on. Yeah. She goes, they go to party city or whatever, and they get all of these Halloween decorations and they're all in the house and the cameras there and the boy is to the right. And she goes, all right, we got to get organized. Bats, rats, and cats to the left, ghost ghouls to the right. And then she immediately hands a skeleton to the boy that he takes to the left. And I, I'd assume the skeleton goes in the ghost ghouls category, but it definitely isn't

[00:40:26] a bat rat or cat, bat rats, cats to the left, not skeletons. I don't, what are you, can you just not follow any directions? The only thing I can figure is that he, in his estimation, skeletons are not on by rats. Therefore rat category. Cause the skeleton technically is not a ghost or a ghoul. That's right. So it could be rat skeletons. It could be, it could be rats or rats food. I think the classification system here is, it's messed up. It's messed up.

[00:40:56] Hey, hey, he took a, a, a, a guess based off of what she had given. Would we have done the same thing? No, we probably would have put that skeleton in the ghost or ghoul, uh, section, but like to his credits, it's a no, it's a neither or situation. Yeah. I don't know about that. I'm with him on this one. I think it was the right move. Go cats. Um, are you guys ready to dive into the, what the homework is the part of the show kind of where we wonder what could have been, would maybe haven't give some clarity of the questions that we still have.

[00:41:24] Uh, Panda. My question is at the very beginning, she's dating a guy named Mike. Yeah. Okay. I want to know how long has she been dating him? Because that was the first day that that's the first date. He's already talking. Yeah. He's talking wedding dress. He's cream. And then she, she gets yelled at by her sister for not committing. Now. Yeah. That dude's a creeper. Yeah. That, yeah. There's a problem. That's why she, she didn't make it to the car.

[00:41:54] Of all the things that Poppy just quits too early. The one right is my Michael. Yes. He should have never made it to the end of the driveway. That's that he's, he's a creep. He made the right call. He uses food with friends. Yes, he does. Absolutely. He tells everybody about ask ladies what size they are. I mean, Hey, I just met you. What are you a size two? That is not okay. Uh, you got any more Panda? Uh, the only other one I have is for the fall decorations.

[00:42:24] Who's footing the bill initially on that. It's gotta be Ryan. Ryan's given her a credit card. But she's never, but she's never like, she doesn't clear that with him. And she spends as somebody who has gone to the Halloween store and spend what I think is too much money. She spends what maybe 500 to a thousand bucks on those decorations. How much is too much on Halloween decorations? Oh, yes. Yeah. Um, that I will say she does spend a lot, but Ryan strikes me as the father that just throws money at the problem.

[00:42:54] Money is not an issue. And I think it's a situation like we had nannies. We, if that would have happened, I would have lost my mind. But like, if you want to take the kids to, you know, get some ice cream at McDonald's, whatever, I'll pay you back. It's no big deal. So maybe that's what it is on a grander scale scale, but it's a lot of money to shockingly spend out of the blue on Halloween decorations. And I thought for sure he's going to come home angry and he just didn't. Yeah. I thought it was going to be a, my wife decorated for Halloween. Don't do that because I'm not. Yes. I'm sensitive about it. Yeah.

[00:43:23] But no, he just didn't even notice. Didn't even blink. Um, I do want to know why Abigail sent so many emails. That's a big question for me. I think that's a big red flag. I think lots of emails like that, like are, it's extra. I mean, I know we, you know, it's 2015. I feel like she could have texted. I don't know. Lots of emails, lots of emails. Um, and last but not least, I just want to break down what I know so far about this company and then we can try to figure out, you know, more about this company.

[00:43:53] Yes. This company has an app that gets 5,000 downloads a day. That's right. Big money. Okay. Um, the, this company also has a private jet corporate private jet. Correct. This company though, cannot get that app in global markets by themselves. Yeah. What kind of company is this? What, how would we, what would you compare this company to a company whose apps getting

[00:44:20] $5,000 has a private jet, but does not have the resources at their disposal to be a global brand. I'm just telling you a couple of things. First of all, uh, the Bramble Jim podcast network gets 5,000 downloads a day. Okay. So the company as a whole, I think it's a little, I think apps, I think at $5,000 a day for an app is a good number because you know, we're putting out new content every day. So the company still cannot with like the structure that that company is built with a jet cannot

[00:44:50] be held together by that one application. The only way this works is if they are a company that does a lot of different things, has a lot of different apps that made sense to me. It still doesn't add up why they need this Japanese company at all. It doesn't make any sense. You're either a company. If you have a private jet, I think you're past the point of needing someone else's resources to help you expand. Just expensive. That's so expensive. They have it. Buy one on a discount. Oh, well, if they buy one on discount.

[00:45:20] I didn't think about it. It was probably black Friday deal last year. Friday deal. Buy one jet, get free one. Yeah. Free jet. Yeah, for sure. Go ahead. Yeah. We got to talk about this yoga class. I. Okay. I'm not an expert at yoga. I'm not. I do yoga. I've seen you do it. You're not bad. I do yoga occasionally. My wife does yoga all the time.

[00:45:43] But I do know this, that to be a yoga instructor, you have to know just some things about yoga. And I get that they're doing a bit with her not knowing the names of the poses. And that's fine. My thing is, is that how did she get that job as yoga instructor? How was she so bad at it and got to keep that job? And then how did she get that job back? Who re like who there are 12 people.

[00:46:13] Yoga is not cheap to go to a yoga. I've never gone to a yoga studio. I've gone to one time. Yoga is not cheap. 12 people out there have paid for her instruction. How? And then when she leaves and gives the class the old lady, rightfully so. But how did she get the job back? Who are those people idiots? Who is paying her? I was what I want to know. Did she just put up signs? Flyers free yoga.

[00:46:42] But she's got to make money off of it. She's not doing it for free. Yoga, 15 bucks a session, meet in the park. But it's the same people at the end of the movie. It's the same people coincidentally wearing the same clothes that there were at the beginning of the movie. And I don't know why are these people paying for this? How did she get that job back? The bigger question is why did the old lady come back? Mrs. Clemmer. She's clearly better than her. Mrs. Clemmer. She's teaching this. Clemmer found out, oh, I can do this myself.

[00:47:07] And yet still, when she found out Poppy, who she's better than at yoga, is doing yoga classes again, she's signed right back up. Come on. She's the beginner's mind brand. Yeah. She's an advanced learner but wants to learn from the beginners. I love it. That's humble. She's an advanced learner but wants to learn from the beginning. Beginners. I have a feeling that's going to come back here in our next segment, which is the double-decker of the week.

So you don't know how they got their money, but you do know that they chose to spend it on something called Savage Cabbage.

[00:48:26] Now, is this cabbage the food? Yes, that is correct. And the food is angry? No, no, no. Fred Savage owns the cabbage. Okay. Yeah, I knew. Fred Savage owns the cabbage? Why does he need their money? Yeah. Because he wants to take it global, guys. He needs to take it all over the place. So Fred Savage still getting those wonder years checks, I imagine. Yeah. Not able to fund. Okay.

[00:48:57] Does the cabbage just go in grocery stores? Yeah. I mean, they could go anywhere. If you have a little produce stand on the side of the road, you can put a cabbage there. But I don't know if you know how cabbages work, right? No, no, no. His cabbage. Where does Savage Cabbage get the most, like, who's, who, where are they selling the bulk of the cabbages? Well, I mean, North and Maine has a great little place where Savage Cabbage is. North and Maine, where? Where? Like, like, downtown Greenville? Oh, Pelooski.

[00:49:27] Pelooski? Yeah. North and Maine, Pelooski is where Fred Savage is selling the bulk of his cabbages. And he wants to take it. Yeah. That's where 99% of his cabbages are sold. So right now he sells it in, let's just say one place. He sells 99% of his cabbages. Yeah. Why doesn't he just focus on going regionally first? Yeah. So he's going to go from Pelooski to worldwide. You haven't tried them. They're great. You mean to tell me venture capitalists, Fred Savage went into their company for a venture

[00:49:55] capitalist and showed them that I saw 99% of my cabbages on one street in Pelooski. And they invested. And they invested. Oh yeah. They were all in. Big time. That's why we don't know how they got their money. That was some shady business for sure. I don't see it guys. I think that this is on the up and up and I would buy. Hillary has business expanded. Are they doing better? Are they selling? They're gangbusters. They moved over to second street. Wow. So they have two cabbage stands in both and both and Pelooski, huh?

[00:50:24] Both and Pelooski. Where's Pelooski? Oh, it's in the Washington area. Just Washington state. What state is Pelooski the city in? Right around the Montana, Washington area. Which state is it in Panda? Well, it kind of crosses boundaries. Pelooski's on the border. Pelooski is on, right? Is Pelooski more of a state in mind? You can't define Pelooski. Yeah, you can.

[00:50:53] It just kind of, you can. If you look at, what does the Pelooski Wikipedia say? What state is it in? Just. It says it's growing. That's all it says on the Wikipedia. It's growing. Yep. Where did it start? The best we can tell at this time. We can tell. Just tell us what state it's in. Well, it seems like it started around Idaho. Did you make up Pelooski? It started in Idaho and now it has expanded. Pelooski's not poison ivy. To the Washington area?

[00:51:24] Yeah. It's growing big guys. It's kind of like Atlanta. Okay. It's not a city. It's not a city. What city is Savage Cabbage in? What city? Pelooski. I told you. We've covered this already. No, no, no. Hillary, Sarah, what you're doing sounds illegal, but I'm glad that you give us money on Bramble Jam Plus every month. We appreciate it. Pelooski's growing is what we. It's like Atlanta.
