I guess We'll talk about it But boy, is it good to be here What an exciting little time of the year it is

There's a lot going on, Brant There is a lot going on, and we are here to tell you about it We're a mere two and a half, three weeks away from Christmas season Where we will be reviewing all 40 of the new Christmas movies How many? 40! 40! We're kicking it off though with something special, aren't we Dan? We sure are! We're going to watch, and I want to make sure I say this right 25 consecutive hours of Hallmark Christmas movies

[00:01:49] From the start of the first new one on the 25th on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries at 9pm Eastern To the end of the new one on Hallmark Channel that premieres at 8pm on that Saturday That new one on Saturday is going to get our best, I can tell you already Now, you're going to be able to watch this We don't have all the details yet, but basically there's going to be a cam for each of us And it's going to be kind of like a live commentary, I mean streaming of course It's kind of like Mystery Science Theater Kind of, yeah, but we're going to, and you're going to kind of see the devolution of us

[00:02:18] Instead of over the course of two months, over the course of 24 hours And so I couldn't be less excited for this opportunity Devolution? [00:05:15] Plus Good Witch And we're not bitter about it at all And so we're excited to talk about this one Over the Moon and Love Originally aired on October 5th, 2019 And it went a little something like this This movie kicks off with a flashback to our leads Brooklyn and Dev Hanging out and promising to always be friends Flash forward 12 years They're not friends Brooklyn started a matchmaking company called Over the Moon and Love Where she gets requests from people

[00:05:43] And she matches them with whoever gives her the feels Or something like that I don't know the logistics She gets a request from Dev on the website To meet up for the night And it becomes apparent that she definitely Had a thing for Dev back in the day So Dev is back in town And they end up grabbing a bite to eat to catch up The big magazine is planning to do a spotlight on her website About summer love That's right Summer

[00:06:13] Summer Fall Having a fall So this magazine publisher Her name is Stephanie Is like Listen, I want to write about you But I want to make sure that your website is like good And it works And that you do what you say you're going to do So, listen Match me up with somebody And I'll give it a test for myself And it's then that Dev walks in the door And she's like Boy, is he a hunk So against her better judgment Brooklyn decides that she's going to set them up together But Dev is like I don't have feelings for her

[00:06:42] I have feelings for somebody else But Brooklyn is like Listen, let's just give it a try So he goes on a date with Stephanie And they are not compatible He orders her ribs She's a vegetarian You know the thing Brooklyn goes to see if she can Throw this big party for her To kind of impress the magazine editors And all that good stuff And it's really expensive And Stephanie is like Listen, can someone give me some pointers Stephanie is like Listen, can you give me some pointers

[00:07:11] On how to connect better with Wes? You know him Not with Wes That's his real name With Dev You know him You grew up with him Give me some pointers So that night Dev decides to ask Stephanie The girl grab some food And he's going to ask her The three questions That he believes will help him decide Whether or not she is the one Whether or not she is worth his time So Brooklyn decides to answer the question On Stephanie's behalf Via the conference call You know the Hey, I'll pat you in

[00:07:41] And I'll answer on your behalf You know the deal We've all done it The questions are this What's your perfect day out? Your favorite color? And what do you want to be When you grow up? Those are his questions To decide if she's worth it So they're So obviously she answers the questions perfectly And then he's like Well I guess Stephanie's the one for me They're all at this wedding together And Stephanie asks Brooklyn To hop on the phone And she'll listen via Bluetooth

[00:08:09] So that she can feed her answers About like everything that She could possibly need to know about Dev He opens up though During that conversation About how Brooklyn Is his inspiration for songwriting Oh boy And how he's been in love with her For over 20 years And remember She is on the phone Like she can hear it Because of the Bluetooth And so she's hearing all this For the first time But he's working on getting past her And he would love to keep meeting up And all that good stuff

[00:08:39] Brooklyn is listening in She's super sad Dev comes over to Brooklyn's house To tell her about how things Are starting to work out with Stephanie And then Brooklyn invites him To join her tomorrow To help play in this party The next day Brooklyn confronts Stephanie And is like listen I don't think that you and Dev Are really a great fit But she's like listen We just need time I think that things Are working out great So Stephanie decides to invite Brooklyn To join her and Dev To be that third wheel At the street fair Because Dev loves street fairs

[00:09:09] Boy does he And his brother shows up And he really connects with Stephanie But Stephanie is like Whatever I'm into Dev The next day He comes over to play Brooklyn this song That he's been working on Since high school And he's like Stephanie inspired me To finally finish this song And she's like No! It's not her! It was me! I've been feeding the lions The whole time! And he's like boy You're the worst! And she's like Well I think I think that I have feelings for you And he's like

[00:09:39] You think? Get out of here! You're the worst friend The next day Stephanie is real mad at Brooklyn For telling Dev the truth And she's like Listen! You belong with Dev's brother! And Stephanie's not having it She storms off Brooklyn goes to find Dev And he's still rightfully mad with her But he's like Listen! She's like You're my perfect person It's you! And he's like Get out of here!

[00:10:07] So it's time for the big party Everybody shows up Stephanie shows up And is like Listen! You know what? It's all good! I wrote an article about you! Yay! Dev then shows up Sings a song for Brooklyn Is like You're my inspiration! And he says If you want to prove to me that you love me You'll sing my song with me So she does They pinky swear They kiss And that my friends was Over the moon in love! There you go! Wow!

[00:10:37] How about all that fall? It's almost too much fall! I mean the leaves were covering the screen It's like Let's just ease in the fall I just can't There were pumpkins everywhere Oh my gosh! Pumpkins being chucked out at us My favorite part was when they baked a pumpkin pie together That's right This movie was in 3D The pumpkins were coming out We had our glasses on It was crazy If you saw the 2D presentation Maybe you missed some of that Maybe you missed some of the fall But we got the 3D Yeah we did

[00:12:10] If you don't give me the baked goods If you don't give me any of the things that feel like fall It's hard It's a hard sell for me Baked goods are good every season though, right? Yeah, but it's better during fall time Okay, okay, okay Oh, I have fall cookies You're just gonna take off Yeah, okay Good talk So anyway, my thoughts Quite simply put Is this is not a very good movie And it gets a worse pass simply because It's a worse pass It was gonna get a pass But now it's just a worse It's still getting a pass Yeah

[00:12:39] But it's not as good It's not Would I watch it again? I'd probably If it I wouldn't turn it off But like I don't like this movie either It's I'm gonna forget about it All right Here's what's frustrating for me This is the first of the fall movies We started with four We're down to two, right? Okay So this is the first fall movie And it takes place during the summer With no leaves Nothing

[00:13:08] No fall to be found And what's crazy is You threw out two other movies That were supposed to be fall related movies Yeah And you kept this one Which is not a fall movie Not even summer To kick off So you had two weeks At the end of September Where you didn't air a new movie Where you could have brought this one Throw it in the summer fun movies You could have taken one of those other two fall movies

[00:13:36] Maybe the one that aired at 4.30 in the morning the other week And put it in this slot But they didn't And I don't know why It bothers me I maybe even enjoyed this movie a little bit I know that you guys didn't really like it I kind of did like it But because I was promised something And I didn't get it It annoyed me It frustrated me That's where I'm at And so for that reason It's a hard no for Bran But yeah We can talk about There were some things in this movie That I did enjoy

[00:14:05] But because it wasn't what I was promised It's a no Dumpster fire Dumpster fire This movie is awful And look Is it bad because it's not a fall movie in fall season? Sure But that's not exactly a huge hurdle For a Hallmark movie to clear Right Sure This movie And look Jessica Loundez wrote the songs Wrote the script Acted it Songs were great God bless her And Wes Brown We all like Wes Brown

[00:14:35] He keeps turning up in really bad movies We can talk about that a little bit later And she does this Cyrano de Bergiac thing Like Roxanne and Steve Martin Or whatever Where she's feeding her lines I wanted Cyrano to burn this movie to the ground That's what I wanted to do It was awful It was cringy It didn't make any sense The lines were terrible At one point somebody goes Logic has nothing to do with this And they're exactly right This movie was really really bad It made me want to quit my job That's true

[00:15:03] You actually several times thought In the movie I said it out loud I said can we stop doing this As a thing That's what I said Yeah Man it's bad It's not great The worst news is that we only have one more fall movie left And I What did I say at the beginning of this entire year? I said I'm looking forward to the fall movies more than anything else I love a good fall movie Because it tells me what season it is That's why you love the fall movies Well You don't know that it's fall? Well I do

[00:15:32] But it just gives me the feels It gets me in the mindset And now I don't have the mindset Speaking of the feels Panda Did you have anything that gave you all the feels? I mean they're not fall feels But just feels as a little Yeah I guess Pretty much the only thing I can think of that gave me any sort of remote feels in it is Some of their banter is okay at times between Jessica and Wes Yeah I actually think that the two leads actually had chemistry Yeah they had chemistry Which is wild to me That this movie was

[00:16:01] Because normally if the two leads have chemistry then the movie is going to be good Yeah And they did They had chemistry And so like some of it I like it's hard not to beat find them charming individuals on some level Like when they're going through like maybe it's because I was a nerd back in high school Which might catch some people on guard But when they're going through the high school yearbook together and he looks and he's like man He goes I never had a date and he's like look at me like yeah I get that he it was fun it was quirky

[00:16:28] I don't know I I like them their chemistry together I like that So just the chemistry in general Yeah sure Fair enough Yeah for me I I guess the song at the end was nice the part that gave me the feels I love it when you can go into a bridge which they did and then after that bridge they kick it back into the course which you should because it's a song but when the bridge can then also be sung over top of the chorus Rounds That's not around but not even a little bit

[00:16:57] Same idea I guess so she's singing the chorus It's a minor six seven count He's continuing to sing the bridge over top of it they're working well together that gives me feels It's a real black parade kind of situation welcome to the black parade So this song gave me black parade I did feel as though my chemical romance like they had just ripped them off Yeah Yeah I will say when this thing started the song started I went you know that's not a bad song But now that I'm thinking about it he had 12 years to write that song Yeah Not a great song Not a great song

[00:17:26] Not a great song It has a lot going for it Like it's got two established leads it's got original music it's got a good song at the end Man it just woof

[00:17:54] Yeah I'd rather spend time in Ireland with whatever that was Yeah Okay Yeah we'll get there Yeah I think there's this it's another Can you imagine if the Ireland movie had this music Oh that would have been a baller movie Yeah Right? But this is a movie where the leading gal is the worst and it's a we're gonna play a game of who's worse Yes Coming up in this one Did you have any feels though? I did I did

[00:18:20] This movie is the worst person and the dumbest person both fighting over Wes Brown and I did I feel like that that was ridiculous I did I guess I mean I did think there were chemistry between the leads when she is doing the headset bit When she's doing the the Roxanne Cyrano de Bergeac bit where she is hiding behind the tree which is like in Cyrano like he's she's hiding under like a balcony or he is excuse me

[00:18:45] But when she's doing that and she hears that he's loved her for that long her reaction and like her tearing up and I've I have been on this program critical of Miss Lowndes on a numerous numerous occasions it worked Yeah, it did It worked she her getting that information. Yeah worked and it worked for me which is even more impressive Um, so that did give me in fact a little bit of the feels. Yeah I wish that this movie wasn't and the wasn't promised to be a fall movie

[00:19:14] I think that I've been a fall movie this movie would have gotten a huge like for me if it had been a fall movie this movie would have gotten a huge I'm saying I get what you're saying I'm saying if it was a summer if it was a summer movie, I maybe would have liked it more but I kept like the first time they mentioned that it was gonna be a summer article I was This brings me back to my whole thing which is why does hallmark like box themselves in with seasonal movies?

[00:19:37] Why not have a movie if there's a movie in october that gives you the fall feels great, but instead of they should have christmas movies? And then they should have other movies that kind of sort of match up with the seasons But don't advertise the summer of love and valentine's like don't do that because then you have a movie like this That's already bad and it gets absolutely trampled under the bus because we were told it was a fall movie Like and if we're upset about can you imagine actual hallmark fans? I read the comments like there's a lot of a lot of feelings about this one

[00:20:05] Um, yeah, okay. We did it great all those feels And it's also time for mr. Hot take Wait, what? Dang it. You just I mean if you could just once be professional are you your life? Mr. Hot take we've literally been doing this episode for 25 minutes

[00:20:32] Can you imagine though if there was a mr. Hot take my name is mr. Hot take I got one for you Your haircut's great. Thank you. I take Wait, what is the mister that we're alluding to now? It's mr. Wait, what? Which is what I was called in school It was weird. Wait, what? They call me mr. Wait, what? Um, it's a segment where we talk about when this movie made us go Wait, what? I have a couple of them. No, not in this movie

[00:20:59] One, uh, I was actually pretty nice I didn't I didn't write down as many as I could have Uh, one, uh, one of the first she's talking she gets this, uh, uh Inquiry from, uh, dev and her assistant is like hey You have a client that wants to go to dinner with you and she's like I don't do client dinners I don't even do lunch and I I'm worried about, uh, her Uh, her eating habits, uh, she's not eating at all apparently

[00:21:29] Yeah It's not that she doesn't do client lunches She just doesn't do lunch in general I'm worried about that Um, they wanted she he wanted to go to dinner But they ended up going to lunch and I don't know how it happened Yeah What was was that meetup planned? At the burger place? That's where he wanted to go with her and But they did it at lunch You know what i'm talking about? They never she He never look she never goes with him to bruno's burgers We talk no they talk about it It's where they meet for the very first time The very first time they go to gordo's burgers

[00:21:58] Oh no no my bad Yeah The first one yeah that meetup was planned It was they did a whole bit where the assistant is like Hey, you got a client that wants to meet you Wants to go to dinner Yeah This was a lunch No no no She'd go back and watch it again Also in the south we occasionally call dinner lunch especially on sunday Okay so explain what happened She the assistant goes you got another contact that wants to meet you And start saying all these things from her past But doesn't tell her that it's devin It's like hey he wants to go to uh gordo's And she's like gordo's And then she's like hey look at the contact in the email

[00:22:27] And she looks at the email and she realizes it's devin And then they meet Yeah Yeah my whole point is that it was supposed to be dinner That's what she said It's going to be dinner and they meet for lunch I was under the impression With a clear night sky that you can look up and see the stars Yeah that was the whole thing It's a clear night sky we can look up and see the stars They show up and it's the middle of the day Yeah okay I can buy it In her office the wall art says Create, grow, soulmate, inspire, love, spark, fly I I've said that for years Yeah

[00:22:56] And it's written in a way to where it's I thought it was going to be a quote But it's just words And I thought that was fun And then Stephanie uses ellipses in every single text So they show the text next to her And it's just ellipses every single text And I'm a big ellipses fan Not Yeah That's it All right A few First of all I have a question about The date that Wes's character goes on with the Stephanie With Stephanie

[00:23:26] He orders her ribs That's right Preemptively Yeah With the sides as well Yeah yeah yeah I want to point that out Because he says I thought we'd start with ribs Yeah Now first of all You don't start with ribs Never start with ribs Or a meal In and of themselves He doesn't say that He says I pre-ordered some ribs for the table Which is maybe my favorite line of the movie What? You did what? That's a bold move There's a lot of things he shouldn't have done One On a first date You never order For the No

[00:23:56] For the person And two Ribs are a really bad first date meal They're messy They're all over your face He could not have been more all in at that moment He walks Can you imagine him just striding in And be like Ribs Collards Mac and cheese Book it Like what are you doing right now? That's a bold move Really? He was craving ribs And he was just like Maybe she'll leave a few I'll pick them up myself I've never had anyone order for me That's not true

[00:24:25] I ordered for you No but I've also That is true You have But you also know me well enough That's right It's not like we had just met How many times do you go What do we get here? Or what should I get here? Yeah And you go Same thing Yeah that happens a lot But there's a big difference Because we're We're almost the same person We are We hung out a lot That's right So that gives a pass Here's the other thing Can we talk about her You gave us a pass? I give us a pass Good good good good I was thinking about not But the fall foliage won me over

[00:24:54] Almost didn't give us a pass I almost didn't give us a pass The ice cream she's eating Oh boy We've got all kinds of questions I have questions about this It's a bold Indiana Jones Last Crusade Step out for you To say that that's ice cream Yeah We don't know that That's ice cream It could be Porridge It could be Just a bowl of mustard Butternut squash We see it multiple times Butternut squash soup That's gone really bad

[00:25:24] Ice cream Like that is not even A vegan's ice cream What is it? It is It looks disgusting I have a suspicion That's pudding You think it's yellow Like a mustard yellow pudding I think I think that it was Yes I think it's like a tapioca Man You're giving a lot of credit Or a butterscotch I think it could be A butterscotch pudding That she is eating every day She's eating it twice But she never actually brings it I think they're trying to sell it As ice cream I don't know why They didn't just get

[00:25:53] Look if she Like if Jessica Loundis Is like a vegan or something Whatever But she doesn't actually Eat it In the movie So why not get the real deal And just keep Fake Like Because it gets melty Yeah that was a problem With that stuff What's funny though Is like I don't think so I would imagine The reason why she didn't eat it Is like You shouldn't eat yellow food While you're filming a shot It's gonna get everywhere But why do the yellow Like why do A food that is so Bright Light

[00:26:22] And there But with no real Like It was It drew the eye It does It's distracting It could have just been You could have just done A bowl of cereal I didn't even know What state of matter It was I couldn't even narrow it down To solid liquid or gas Like I couldn't even narrow it down What if it came alive And ate her Because that's kind of What we were looking at It was a crazy food Weird bit There's also some weird quotes In this movie Just a few First of all Devin loves street fairs

[00:26:52] Is a real statement That is made And then also She knows me like a book There's a lot to unpack there Yeah yeah yeah She does it And there's a lot of books out there And a lot of knowledge But usually She can read me like a book Read me like a book If I knew someone like a book I would not know them at all It would be a tough sledding man Yeah And depending on the book Really I mean she knows me Like the latest Grisham Oh no I don't know him at all The latest Grisham It's a great book

[00:27:22] Sure If you say so That's all I got I could say more But I'll refrain Yeah While we're on quotes Early in the movie She says What are you doing tomorrow And he says Just singing songs Which I found I just don't even know What to do with that I put that in my planner And yeah Just singing songs I don't actually know What Devin does all day I'm pretty sure both of these women Are fighting over a homeless Wes Brown Because he's hot Am I not mistaken there? Yep Have you seen him? No no no

[00:27:51] I'm not saying they shouldn't He's dreamy My man can get it What did he do before coming back? I think he was just a lounge singer Okay Was he I thought he was on tour No So there's another There's another quote that is I still don't even They're walking over this bridge And she says You know what's actually crazy? Crazy My parents first date Was on a paddle boat Nothing about that is crazy Not Not There is zero That is a very normal

[00:28:20] Better than ribs First date Yeah I would say The only time you should say That sentence is If your first date Is happening on a paddle boat That's right Yes Then it is crazy Or it's like What are the odds That both me and my parents Have the same first date Yeah What You know what's actually crazy? My parents first date Was on a secret mission To save the planet That's actually crazy I'd be like That's crazy Yeah You know what's actually crazy? My parents first date Was on a paddle boat No that's You know what's crazy? My parents didn't actually Have a first date Really?

[00:28:49] They saw each other Didn't say anything They just walked Straight to the chapel Marriage Wow Isn't that crazy? So their first date Was their wedding In a sense They still haven't talked though Yeah It's a weird thing That would be crazy My parents are crazy Yeah I do also have A lot of questions About this opening scene First of all We're to believe That those two characters Are in high school In that scene Which I did not know Until later in the movie It's preposterous I love it It was silly Second of all What in the name

[00:29:18] Of bad wigs Is Wes Brown doing With the What is happening there? In this scene's defense I do think It is supposed to be Played for laughs Like I think It's supposed to be like Oh this is funny The problem is There was nary A chuckle to be found There was not a one Didn't even get a guffaw Nothing I think it was supposed To be like a cute thing Okay It was a cute thing On that scene lastly Can we embrace The fact that She's been wanting To Her dream job

[00:29:48] Since high school Was to run A matchmaking service Who's to say What the heart wants Dan Well because she has been Matchmaking Since high school She found out She was really good Good at it At high school Nobody's ever broken up It would be wrong For her not to go Into the matchmaking Because it's almost Like a secret power At that point She has never Been wrong Never been wrong She's never been wrong Even back in high school Yeah That's a long time To not be wrong Right Man It's almost like It doesn't really
