[00:00:01] I'm Bram, it's finally here. I love Tubi movies.

[00:00:05] I'm Brian, it's here. I like Tubi movies.

[00:00:09] I'm Dan, it's here. I despise Tubi movies and this is the...

[00:00:12] Deck The Hallmark, it's this podcast.

[00:00:17] Bramble Jam and Friends host this podcast.

[00:00:22] We hope you like this jolly podcast.

[00:00:28] Wow, hello everybody. Months in the making this episode is

[00:00:38] finally reviewing Earthquake Underground. Here at Deck The Hallmark we have a lot of fun

[00:00:43] and one thing we don't joke about is we're hell-bent on reviewing Earthquake Underground.

[00:00:49] Neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor steel beams nor parking garages,

[00:00:55] elevators. None of it would get in our way. I hope that Tubi saw a spike in Earthquake

[00:01:03] Underground this weekend and went, what's going on there? What happened here?

[00:01:07] They showed up on the seismic scale. I don't know why we did that. I still

[00:01:10] don't know why we did this aside from Bram wanted to. That's the only reason.

[00:01:15] What? He made a commitment. Why would we not?

[00:01:18] We could do literally anything in the TV movie space. It's a new movie from a place we

[00:01:21] haven't really watched a lot from. Why would we not do that? Okay, I mean I guess.

[00:01:26] Do we review made for TV movies or not? That's what we do.

[00:01:28] Okay. But there are so many out there. Sure.

[00:01:30] We could do. Still good, still can.

[00:01:33] Still can. We should take a request. Hey,

[00:01:35] I saw these nice flowers. I mean I will say I feel like as soon as this movie got delayed,

[00:01:40] that was the sign that we shouldn't do it. No, no. Most people would jump off at that

[00:01:45] point but not us. It is insane for you to say that a delay of an Earthquake movie made

[00:01:52] for TV is the reason we shouldn't do it. That's right. That's right.

[00:01:56] That's the dumbest thing you've ever said. Wow, you're dumb Hick.

[00:01:59] You're dumb Hick. Crazy. Hello everybody. It is great to be here and if you found us because

[00:02:07] yeah that Greenville was featured on SNL this weekend. Hello. Maybe you've searched for

[00:02:12] Greenville South Carolina podcast. Yeah.

[00:02:14] And then you found us. Hi, it's great to be here.

[00:02:16] Had to be tens of people on that rabbit trail.

[00:02:18] Absolutely. And then to find out that we were viewing Earthquake Underground,

[00:02:21] they were probably like sign me up this podcast. How have I not found it?

[00:02:24] You've been coming a better time. Yeah, it is great to be found by you.

[00:02:27] Leave us a review. We're trying to get to 3000 by our 30th birthdays.

[00:02:35] What? Yeah.

[00:02:36] I've got bad news, Brandon. No, the podcast.

[00:02:39] Oh, the podcast 30th. Yeah, I think we could do by 2040.

[00:02:41] 24 years? Yeah.

[00:02:42] I've been stuck in the 2000s for a long time.

[00:02:45] We have been stuck in the 2000s. A thousand by season one.

[00:02:48] Yeah. In the season. We did it.

[00:02:50] Before Christmas. Yeah.

[00:02:51] Johnny iTunes, they backed up the track.

[00:02:53] Johnny iTunes backed up the track.

[00:02:55] 2000s? It was yesterday.

[00:02:56] 2000s by season two. I don't think we did it.

[00:02:58] We didn't do that. But we got it eventually.

[00:03:00] And now we're at 2400 and change. That's okay.

[00:03:03] That's okay. We're having fun. Leave us a review.

[00:03:05] Let us know what your thoughts are. Our last review was for March.

[00:03:08] So now's the time.

[00:03:10] Been a while. If you're listening.

[00:03:12] Yeah. Pop a five star. Grab a friend's iPhone.

[00:03:16] Yeah. And let us know your thoughts.

[00:03:18] Maybe we'll read it on the show.

[00:03:20] Maybe we should start reading all the thousands that we didn't get to because

[00:03:23] it was too overwhelming.

[00:03:24] We should have. Yeah, because there's too much there.

[00:03:26] There's too many. We couldn't do it.

[00:03:27] We didn't read any of them.

[00:03:28] Brian, you went up to Mass this weekend.

[00:03:31] The state, not the service.

[00:03:34] Sure. I don't know what you did.

[00:03:37] I did not go to Mass in Mass.

[00:03:38] And when you go to Mass, you have to talk about it like it's Calvary.

[00:03:41] We went up to Mass.

[00:03:42] We went on up.

[00:03:43] Took the pilgrimage to Mass.

[00:03:46] It was cold up there.

[00:03:48] What did you do up there?

[00:03:49] It was nice and 90 here.

[00:03:50] I know. I was watching the weather.

[00:03:52] Just a little house emptying.

[00:03:54] You sold your house up there?

[00:03:56] Taking care of the property.

[00:03:57] Yeah, it's getting some new owners.

[00:03:58] How are you feeling?

[00:03:58] I know you've had a lot of conflicting feelings.

[00:03:59] I'm still anxious about it.

[00:04:02] We're not done.

[00:04:04] All I see are the things that could go wrong.

[00:04:06] And I'm keeping them to myself because I know people don't want to hear me

[00:04:08] complain about that.

[00:04:09] So just it's a waiting game at this point.

[00:04:13] Back from Mass.

[00:04:14] This feels like a post game of.

[00:04:16] Checking in.

[00:04:17] Some things we could have done better.

[00:04:18] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:04:18] Well, we're doing the best we can.

[00:04:20] Yeah, yeah.

[00:04:20] Didn't really go our way.

[00:04:22] Closing was a beast.

[00:04:23] We weren't prepared for closing.

[00:04:25] We thought we had trained.

[00:04:26] We didn't really train well enough.

[00:04:27] Their realtor was a short.

[00:04:29] A lot of things you had to decide.

[00:04:30] We talked everyone with Janie for their realtor.

[00:04:32] We prepped for Janie.

[00:04:32] They didn't go with Janie.

[00:04:33] We went with Crandall.

[00:04:34] There was nothing we could do.

[00:04:35] Crandall walked in the door.

[00:04:36] We knew we were in trouble.

[00:04:37] Yeah.

[00:04:37] We knew that 3% wasn't going to be ours.

[00:04:39] Let's just put it that way.

[00:04:41] Finding calm wherever we get here.

[00:04:43] I watched Hook this weekend with my kids.

[00:04:44] You watched Hook?

[00:04:45] I showed my kids Hook.

[00:04:46] Oh, man.

[00:04:47] That's better than my weekend.

[00:04:48] They did Peter Pan at school.

[00:04:49] I showed them Hook.

[00:04:50] And before I watched it, I was convinced it was

[00:04:54] one of the best kids' movies of all time.

[00:04:55] And now I think it's just one of the best movies of all time.

[00:04:58] Wow.

[00:05:00] I was bordering on tears for the whole movie.

[00:05:02] I loved every second of it.

[00:05:03] And my kids liked it.

[00:05:05] It was a fun time.

[00:05:06] And I told Brian this weekend,

[00:05:09] I watched Hook with my kids.

[00:05:10] And did you know it was a Christmas movie?

[00:05:12] I forgot it was a Christmas movie.

[00:05:14] Yeah, there's some really good Christmas stuff in London.

[00:05:16] But once they get to it, and then he said,

[00:05:18] the pan verse, there isn't any.

[00:05:21] And I said we call that Neverland here in the real world.

[00:05:24] We don't call it the pan.

[00:05:26] I hope that was floated at least in a meeting.

[00:05:28] I just want to say, did I goof?

[00:05:31] Did I forget that Neverland was in it?

[00:05:32] Tinkerbells spread, put the dust on us.

[00:05:34] Now we can fly the pan verse.

[00:05:38] We live in a society now where-

[00:05:40] We just call it Neverland.

[00:05:41] Yes, we do.

[00:05:42] And I was wrong.

[00:05:43] I just want to say, I forgot that it was called Neverland.

[00:05:46] That's on me.

[00:05:47] We live in a world where everything is a verse

[00:05:50] and every streaming service is a plus.

[00:05:52] Bramble Jam Plus, by the way.

[00:05:55] If you wouldn't do us a favor.

[00:05:57] Should we go with pan verse?

[00:05:58] Maybe we should go with the bramble verse.

[00:06:00] I don't know.

[00:06:01] Everything is a verse.

[00:06:01] Like the meta verse, the spider verse.

[00:06:06] Everything is a verse.

[00:06:07] And so I done goofed.

[00:06:08] Yes, I called it the pan verse, but I'm sorry.

[00:06:11] But I do think it at least should have been considered.

[00:06:13] And I think if pan was created now, that's what they would go with.

[00:06:18] Yeah, Jay and Barry would have never written Neverland.

[00:06:20] He would have written-

[00:06:21] Neverland either.

[00:06:22] He would not have written the Netherlands.

[00:06:23] He would have written pan verse.

[00:06:26] Pan verse.

[00:06:26] Take me back to the pan verse.

[00:06:28] Shall we talk about the delayed earthquake movie from 2B,

[00:06:32] Earthquake Underground?

[00:06:34] Sure.

[00:06:35] Originally dropped finally after long waiting

[00:06:40] on April 19th, 2024.

[00:06:41] And it went a little something like this.

[00:06:43] Brian.

[00:06:44] Are you okay?

[00:06:46] Are you all right, buddy?

[00:06:46] What happened?

[00:06:47] Brian?

[00:06:48] You seem to be real choked up about this.

[00:06:49] Huh?

[00:06:50] Brian's an architect in the movie.

[00:06:53] And you can tell because he's really good at stacking cards.

[00:06:56] He has a bit of a thing with a colleague named Amy.

[00:07:01] And by that I mean she's pregnant with child.

[00:07:04] He doesn't know that yet.

[00:07:05] She's going to tell-

[00:07:06] It's his son.

[00:07:07] That's right.

[00:07:09] They work for a guy named Reese Swan.

[00:07:12] They're renovating this building.

[00:07:15] We all know that it is a hotel that they're renovating.

[00:07:18] For a fancy big wig named Deb.

[00:07:21] Deb is-

[00:07:22] And Brian and them are on what floor?

[00:07:25] Deb shows up to check the building out,

[00:07:27] see how things are coming along.

[00:07:28] There's still construction going on.

[00:07:31] Reese meets him downstairs and the ground shakes a bit.

[00:07:34] And Reese is like, oh, it's just construction crew.

[00:07:37] Keep it down over there.

[00:07:39] What can you do?

[00:07:40] They walk inside.

[00:07:42] They get in the elevator.

[00:07:44] When it opens up, Amy is there.

[00:07:45] Amy is heading up.

[00:07:49] And so they get in with her because they're also going to be going up.

[00:07:54] And so I guess Amy and then we're in the basement.

[00:08:00] The sunshiny basement.

[00:08:01] I don't know.

[00:08:02] But I do know she was going up.

[00:08:03] And so they get in with her.

[00:08:04] She's heading up to floor 16 where she pops out.

[00:08:08] They keep going up and then there's an earthquake.

[00:08:11] And apparently the building just goes straight down underground.

[00:08:17] Everything intact, but it just dropped straight down.

[00:08:19] Building is now underground.

[00:08:20] Earthquake underground, building underground.

[00:08:23] And so Brian-

[00:08:24] Turns out all earthquakes are underground.

[00:08:26] Yes, but not all buildings.

[00:08:28] That's right.

[00:08:28] In this case, this building is now-

[00:08:29] Not all buildings.

[00:08:30] This building is underground.

[00:08:33] And his-

[00:08:34] Brian and his crew that he's with hear people in the elevator yelling.

[00:08:39] And so they all get to the elevator shaft.

[00:08:42] They climb up the ladder.

[00:08:44] They do a rescue mission.

[00:08:45] Get everybody down.

[00:08:46] And now we are on a floor.

[00:08:49] We are all together though, and it is good.

[00:08:53] So they end up getting split up into two different groups.

[00:08:58] There is a helicopter doing rescues.

[00:09:01] And the helicopter notices that the building that was there is now no longer there.

[00:09:06] And they come to the conclusion that the building is underground.

[00:09:08] That's their words.

[00:09:10] So the group with Reese and Deb are shocked to see a body fall through the ceiling

[00:09:20] of the floor that they're on.

[00:09:21] That body is Amy's body.

[00:09:24] She's alive.

[00:09:25] Her ankle though, that's all from that floor she fell through.

[00:09:31] See that later?

[00:09:32] No.

[00:09:33] So Brian and his crew make it to the second floor.

[00:09:37] Everybody knows second floor is where we keep the emergency elevator generator.

[00:09:42] And that has been-

[00:09:44] It's building code.

[00:09:46] So he's going to try to get that generator up.

[00:09:52] He's going to try to get the emergency elevator generator up and running

[00:09:58] so that they can get to the top.

[00:10:00] Because there's- the building, even though it is still intact,

[00:10:04] every once in a while you find something like we can't go this way,

[00:10:07] we got to go that way.

[00:10:08] So the elevator is the best straight shot to the roof,

[00:10:13] which they assume is still above ground.

[00:10:16] So the building is slowly crumbling around them.

[00:10:19] Rats are coming through the walls, trampling women.

[00:10:22] People are just kind of dying left and right.

[00:10:27] Nothing that you said is incorrect so far.

[00:10:30] Rats are trampling women.

[00:10:31] Well, man.

[00:10:32] Well, man.

[00:10:34] They're having to climb on beams to continue the trek upstairs.

[00:10:40] It's a lot.

[00:10:42] Brian finally gets the elevators to work and the elevator-

[00:10:46] The whole situation honestly is in super great shape, the elevator.

[00:10:50] Except there is a dead body above them on top of the elevator.

[00:10:53] Don't ask, don't tell.

[00:10:55] But it doesn't matter.

[00:10:57] They get in, they get out and-

[00:11:00] I don't think you're only this far into this movie.

[00:11:03] Don't worry, there's not a lot left.

[00:11:06] The groups are now reunited.

[00:11:07] It feels so good.

[00:11:09] They get to the top and they realize that the top is still underground.

[00:11:14] Top is the bottom.

[00:11:15] Top is the bottom but the top is where the bottom was.

[00:11:18] The ceiling is the roof.

[00:11:20] Is exactly right.

[00:11:21] And so they hear the helicopter.

[00:11:25] The helicopter sees them and the helicopter says, we're going to land.

[00:11:33] We're going to land in the hole.

[00:11:33] Which is crazy.

[00:11:36] Crazy thought process.

[00:11:38] And so the helicopter's trying to land and there's been an earthquake.

[00:11:45] So there's some shrapnel and stuff.

[00:11:47] I don't know.

[00:11:47] Shrapnel and stuff.

[00:11:49] Elevator misses, it doesn't see something which gets caught.

[00:11:52] Elevator doesn't miss?

[00:11:53] Sorry, helicopter.

[00:11:55] Doesn't see that there's something that gets-

[00:11:57] No, the earthquake happened.

[00:11:58] There's another earthquake.

[00:11:58] Oh, another earthquake, yes.

[00:12:00] And it causes the helicopter to begin to spin out of control.

[00:12:06] And one of the blades pops off, splits a woman in half, which is crazy.

[00:12:14] Then-

[00:12:14] What are the odds?

[00:12:15] Then the water pipes from the shaken burst and begins to fill the area in which they are.

[00:12:23] And so they then decide, what are we going to do?

[00:12:27] The water's going to, we're going to drown.

[00:12:29] They realize they can jump to the parking garage next door,

[00:12:36] which is where Deb and Reece, they had their car parked.

[00:12:40] And they can drive it on out of here.

[00:12:41] That's their thought process.

[00:12:43] We can drive it up.

[00:12:45] So they all hop, they get into-

[00:12:49] We'll jump laterally from where we are, where we can't get out.

[00:12:52] Then we'll drive down and that'll get us to the exit.

[00:12:54] They all get to the parking garage.

[00:12:56] Reece is-

[00:12:57] Before the water jumps over and comes down.

[00:12:59] Reece is beeping.

[00:13:01] All water flows down.

[00:13:03] You got to go down and go up.

[00:13:04] When your building starts underground?

[00:13:06] Yeah.

[00:13:06] Guys, just give me just a few more seconds.

[00:13:09] So Reece finds his car, thinks about leaving them, ditching them.

[00:13:15] For a while.

[00:13:16] Yeah, for a while.

[00:13:17] Comes back, picks them all up.

[00:13:19] They're driving.

[00:13:20] Reece just drives into a wall, which is unfortunate timing

[00:13:25] because the water's now beginning to rise even there as well

[00:13:29] over next door at the parking structure.

[00:13:31] And so they, the crash killed Deb's-

[00:13:39] Business partner, buddy, brother.

[00:13:40] I don't know.

[00:13:42] But he's dead and she like can't let him go.

[00:13:44] So she gets drowned.

[00:13:46] But we are now left with Reece, Brian, Amy.

[00:13:49] That's right.

[00:13:50] And they all get to the top of the parking structure.

[00:13:53] And they decide we need to get even higher.

[00:13:56] And so luckily on top of the parking structure,

[00:13:58] there's a smaller structure.

[00:13:59] This structure has a ladder from someone's house propped up against it.

[00:14:05] Totally code friendly.

[00:14:06] We're all good here.

[00:14:08] They get to the top of that structure.

[00:14:09] There's another helicopter that has the wherewithal to not land.

[00:14:14] I know it's hard.

[00:14:15] Throw the ladder out.

[00:14:15] That's right.

[00:14:16] Throws the ladder down.

[00:14:18] Amy, you go first.

[00:14:19] You're pregnant.

[00:14:19] Oh, Amy did tell him, by the way.

[00:14:21] I thought she was pregnant.

[00:14:21] Fine.

[00:14:22] Yeah, she's great.

[00:14:23] Climbs up.

[00:14:24] Brian then gets up.

[00:14:26] Reece, I don't- he's bad at ladders.

[00:14:29] Really bad at ladders.

[00:14:31] Falls to his death into the water.

[00:14:34] I don't know if the water killed him, the impact killed him.

[00:14:37] Don't know.

[00:14:38] But Amy, Brian, they make it to the helicopter and they live.

[00:14:44] And that's it.

[00:14:45] And that, my friends, was Earthquake Underground.

[00:14:50] We did it.

[00:14:53] Let's have a quick break.

[00:14:54] We'll come back.

[00:14:54] We'll break down Earthquake Underground here on Take All Mark.

[00:15:08] Welcome back, everybody.

[00:15:09] We're talking about Earthquake Underground.

[00:15:11] I know you've been waiting all year for this episode.

[00:15:13] A newer release from Tubi.

[00:15:16] Let's start with a hot take.

[00:15:17] We'll share exactly how we felt about this movie and I will start with you, Brian.

[00:15:20] Brian, it's been a long time coming.

[00:15:21] Finally released.

[00:15:23] Earthquake Underground.

[00:15:25] Just a couple months.

[00:15:27] I had to get those effects just right.

[00:15:32] So Brian, I will ask you, what did you think of Earthquake Underground?

[00:15:36] Your first Tubi movie, I would assume.

[00:15:37] I think so.

[00:15:38] I think you're right there.

[00:15:40] For, also I haven't done a disaster movie in a while.

[00:15:44] So it's been a while.

[00:15:45] What do you mean?

[00:15:45] In general or for the podcast?

[00:15:47] Well, I don't think I've ever done one for the podcast.

[00:15:49] So you just haven't watched one?

[00:15:50] Yeah.

[00:15:51] So you would brain live very different lives.

[00:15:53] Yeah.

[00:15:53] Oh yeah.

[00:15:56] So what I thought from this was we ended up overall with a good amount of disaster,

[00:16:02] I thought.

[00:16:02] A lot of disaster.

[00:16:04] A lot of disaster happening.

[00:16:05] But it felt like super backloaded.

[00:16:07] A lot of time spent trying to rewire the elevator and not having dialogue.

[00:16:15] Not a lot happening except more like logistics and planning and just maneuvering the building,

[00:16:23] which is underground intact.

[00:16:25] And then at the end, the payoff.

[00:16:28] I guess if you see all that through, that's the...

[00:16:30] You wait around for all the disaster to really happen.

[00:16:32] It kicks in with some serious disaster.

[00:16:35] Because I was worried we were going to get to the end

[00:16:36] and I'm going to feel like shortchanged.

[00:16:37] On your disaster.

[00:16:38] Yeah, not enough disaster.

[00:16:40] Overall good amount of disaster.

[00:16:42] I feel like I needed a little more...

[00:16:44] I didn't care about these people.

[00:16:45] We jump right in and I don't know if that's...

[00:16:48] We jump right out.

[00:16:50] I didn't know if she was pregnant with his baby or they were...

[00:16:55] They didn't say that explicitly.

[00:16:56] They do?

[00:16:57] How early though?

[00:16:58] Because I feel...

[00:16:58] Very early in the movie.

[00:16:59] She's talking with her friends.

[00:17:01] I saw that but I didn't realize it.

[00:17:02] When she's like, I can't pick this box up.

[00:17:03] And she goes in there and she's like, it's Brian's.

[00:17:06] I missed that.

[00:17:07] But I just feel like there could have been a lot more...

[00:17:09] There was a lot of quiet time.

[00:17:10] It was a lot of meaningless...

[00:17:11] For a movie that without credits is maybe 77 minutes long, you're not wrong.

[00:17:17] I feel like there was a lot of opportunity to do a little more character building here.

[00:17:21] Little dialogue would have been great.

[00:17:22] But at the end, yeah, you get a lot of disaster.

[00:17:26] Worth it for the steel beam scene alone, I feel like.

[00:17:29] I love that part.

[00:17:30] That was phenomenal.

[00:17:32] And yeah, so I had to get...

[00:17:34] Rest in peace too.

[00:17:35] Obviously.

[00:17:36] What? Obviously.

[00:17:37] He went down hard.

[00:17:39] Michael.

[00:17:40] Michael is the same.

[00:17:41] RIP Michael.

[00:17:42] And you heard him going down.

[00:17:45] He was hitting railings and whatever.

[00:17:48] You know what Michael said before he died?

[00:17:50] Vegetarians only eat vegetables.

[00:17:52] Then we got to be worried about what he meant.

[00:17:54] He's a weird thing to say.

[00:17:56] He should put that on his dating profile.

[00:17:59] He probably did before he died.

[00:18:00] Now he can't change it.

[00:18:02] I can't believe his name is Michael too.

[00:18:05] That is just ridiculous.

[00:18:07] Yeah, y'all at home, you're not getting it.

[00:18:09] But it's good.

[00:18:10] Just know that what happened here in the room is real good.

[00:18:14] We should explain it at the next Lunch with the Boys.

[00:18:17] So join Double Deckers.

[00:18:19] Yeah, that was a great full circle there.

[00:18:23] I wish I watched this with you guys.

[00:18:25] That would have been a lot more fun.

[00:18:26] But still, I saw those donuts.

[00:18:31] So yeah, pretty good time.

[00:18:33] So this is a sweet spot for me.

[00:18:39] Low budget disaster movies.

[00:18:41] I think it's where all of Brand's interest just arrive at one.

[00:18:45] Disaster movies that are bad.

[00:18:48] Yeah.

[00:18:49] I just love the ambition to make this movie.

[00:18:57] Somebody had an idea for an earthquake movie

[00:19:00] where the building falls underground

[00:19:02] and then eventually gets filled with water

[00:19:04] and there's helicopters and someone's getting cut in half

[00:19:07] and there's wraps.

[00:19:08] And they said, we don't have the money to make it.

[00:19:11] And they said, I'll be damned we don't.

[00:19:13] And they do it.

[00:19:16] This is not a bit.

[00:19:17] This is not me just being ridiculous.

[00:19:21] I love it.

[00:19:23] I love because I would do that.

[00:19:26] I would do this.

[00:19:27] And I just, I think that some people might say,

[00:19:32] shouldn't we put our efforts elsewhere?

[00:19:33] And I say, no.

[00:19:35] I don't think that we should.

[00:19:36] I think that this is wonderful.

[00:19:40] I had such a wonderful time with this movie.

[00:19:44] Is it absolutely ridiculous?

[00:19:48] Do the effects look like garbage?

[00:19:50] Of course they do.

[00:19:52] But dadgummit, I am thrilled that this movie finally got made.

[00:19:56] I am thrilled that it exists.

[00:19:58] And I was talking to Dan about this

[00:20:00] and I have given it more thought

[00:20:03] and I do think that it is true.

[00:20:05] So we started this podcast many moons ago.

[00:20:08] Now what we're saying is this is it.

[00:20:09] This is the last one.

[00:20:10] We started this podcast many moons ago

[00:20:13] with the idea of reviewing every Hallmark Christmas movie

[00:20:15] because I love Hallmark Christmas movies.

[00:20:18] And at the time, I hadn't really watched

[00:20:20] many non-Hallmark Christmas.

[00:20:22] Like I just watched.

[00:20:24] Just watched the Christmas ones

[00:20:25] and then the New Year comes around.

[00:20:26] And so when we started doing that for this show,

[00:20:29] it was new for me.

[00:20:32] And I think that if I had the option,

[00:20:35] if we had the option to say,

[00:20:36] hey everybody, we're actually going to make a switch.

[00:20:40] And throughout the year,

[00:20:41] instead of covering made-for-TV movies

[00:20:45] like the rom-coms,

[00:20:46] we're going to focus solely on low budget

[00:20:50] disaster movies and action movies.

[00:20:52] I would say yes, please.

[00:20:54] And twice on Sunday.

[00:20:56] And then we'll still do the Christmas movies.

[00:20:58] That's how much I love them.

[00:21:00] And like I love what we do

[00:21:01] and I love watching the rom-coms.

[00:21:03] But this is a sweet spot for me,

[00:21:06] a spot that just makes me so happy.

[00:21:09] I love it.

[00:21:11] Give me more of it, please, sir.

[00:21:13] Yes.

[00:21:14] Dan?

[00:21:15] Got a little weird there.

[00:21:17] Look, I mean the movie's called Earthquake Underground.

[00:21:21] Every six-year-old scientist will tell you

[00:21:23] that all earthquakes are underground.

[00:21:25] You have to know what you're getting into here.

[00:21:28] The basic premise of this movie is a wait, what?

[00:21:30] Hard to review on this show.

[00:21:32] Harder than rom-coms because

[00:21:34] they're trying to take themselves seriously.

[00:21:36] And I'll get to the fact that

[00:21:37] I do think this movie does that

[00:21:39] a little bit here in a second.

[00:21:40] But this whole, I need a board.

[00:21:42] I need a full board.

[00:21:43] But this whole building,

[00:21:45] water pipes, electrical, everything falls hundreds of feet.

[00:21:49] Can someone tell me if it's possible?

[00:21:52] What we know is not possible is for water and electrical

[00:21:57] to keep working.

[00:21:58] But in this movie, depending on where you are

[00:22:02] in the hotel or the building,

[00:22:05] it does, it still works.

[00:22:05] The elevator still works.

[00:22:08] You just have to give that up.

[00:22:09] Look, this is a sweet spot for Bran.

[00:22:12] I don't really like these movies.

[00:22:13] But I love bad movies like in the theater.

[00:22:17] I love a movie that's especially bad.

[00:22:19] Cats.

[00:22:20] Cats is a chore to watch,

[00:22:22] but to experience cats once was a revelation.

[00:22:26] That is like an awesomely bad movie

[00:22:28] that you tell your kids about.

[00:22:31] Everyone's trying to make a good movie

[00:22:32] and it just doesn't work.

[00:22:33] For whatever reason, it just doesn't work.

[00:22:35] These movies, the key to them

[00:22:39] lies very specifically in not ever winking at the camera.

[00:22:43] If they ever, like the Sharknado movies

[00:22:45] get so out of hand to me because they start

[00:22:48] winking at the camera, they know it's bad.

[00:22:50] They know you know it's bad and they want to show you

[00:22:53] how bad they can make this bad movie.

[00:22:55] That I have no use for.

[00:22:58] This movie by and large never winks at you.

[00:23:01] Everyone in here is giving a very, very serious performance

[00:23:06] in an otherwise terrible idea,

[00:23:11] terrible execution, terrible effects,

[00:23:15] terrible everything.

[00:23:16] And so you have to acknowledge that.

[00:23:20] Even if it's not my cup of tea,

[00:23:21] if you take out the first minute and a half of credits

[00:23:24] and the last two minutes of credits,

[00:23:26] the movie is 70 some minutes long.

[00:23:28] It's barely there.

[00:23:29] Half of it they're trying to start generators

[00:23:31] on the second floor, which like there's a lot of this.

[00:23:34] It's code.

[00:23:35] I don't have any way what's because

[00:23:37] the way what's are just inherent in what we're doing here.

[00:23:41] So this is terrible.

[00:23:41] I don't want to watch these regularly.

[00:23:43] Is this better than a bad Hallmark movie?

[00:23:46] Sure.

[00:23:47] But even like a Hallmark June movie,

[00:23:50] when it aspires to be great or good

[00:23:53] is still better than this to me.

[00:23:56] I couldn't do this every day, but Brian could.

[00:23:59] And I'm happy that I got to watch it with him.

[00:24:01] It's fun occasionally, but that's about it for me.

[00:24:04] It's time for all the feels where we talk about

[00:24:07] what in this movie gave us feels.

[00:24:10] Brian.

[00:24:10] Yeah.

[00:24:12] As soon as the building went down

[00:24:14] and they're in their office trying to figure out where to go,

[00:24:17] I got trapped feels like I started freaking out a little bit

[00:24:21] because I started putting myself in that situation

[00:24:24] where you're trapped.

[00:24:25] Like, like just find a shard of glass and end it

[00:24:29] because I don't know what I would do.

[00:24:31] Like, what if you can't get out?

[00:24:33] I have a my one phobia is that I don't know if it's just

[00:24:37] it's claustrophobic.

[00:24:38] It's just any sort of buried alive.

[00:24:40] Yeah.

[00:24:40] In an elevator can't leave.

[00:24:42] We're running out of oxygen.

[00:24:44] Space camp as a kid with Tate Donovan

[00:24:46] and the running out of oxygen on the spaceship.

[00:24:48] And this didn't do that for me, but I get how you got there.

[00:24:53] Oh yeah.

[00:24:53] I mean, as soon as it happened, I started thinking

[00:24:55] and putting myself in that situation

[00:24:57] and I started to freak out a little and it's like,

[00:24:59] I don't know what I would do.

[00:25:00] That would be brutal.

[00:25:01] Absolutely brutal.

[00:25:02] So I was a little scared.

[00:25:05] There is a character in this movie named Sasha

[00:25:10] played by Kayla Black.

[00:25:12] And throughout the movie, she gets trampled by rats,

[00:25:21] electrocuted and cut in half by a helicopter blade.

[00:25:25] And she's living my dream.

[00:25:28] Just what an amazing character,

[00:25:31] what an amazing few days for her that she got to live that.

[00:25:36] The electrocution scene in this movie

[00:25:38] where she gets electrocuted and shoots back.

[00:25:40] It is an all-timer.

[00:25:41] Is one of the best scenes I've seen in all of cinema.

[00:25:44] I adored it.

[00:25:46] We even rewound it and it was so good.

[00:25:50] And everything that happened to her in this movie

[00:25:53] was just insane and I loved every second of it.

[00:25:57] So shout out to Kayla.

[00:25:59] Great job, Dan.

[00:26:00] Her name was Kayla in the movie?

[00:26:02] No, in the...

[00:26:03] What's her name in the movie?

[00:26:05] Sasha.

[00:26:06] Sasha getting electrocuted is the absolute pinnacle of this movie.

[00:26:11] It is an all-timer and it is so great.

[00:26:16] And you're not supposed to laugh at things like this,

[00:26:19] but boy if they don't want you to laugh at this,

[00:26:21] they should have filmed it differently.

[00:26:24] It's great.

[00:26:25] It's like she shot out of a cannon

[00:26:26] and it is wild and funny and we did rewind it

[00:26:29] and we did laugh both times.

[00:26:31] And that is easily...

[00:26:32] After that, the movie never recovers.

[00:26:35] It never recovers from what that represents

[00:26:37] and how good a scene that is.

[00:26:41] I just love...

[00:26:41] They could have spread the wealth out.

[00:26:43] We could have had somebody get trampled by...

[00:26:46] That's one of my way what's because the two...

[00:26:50] This movie tortures women for 77 straight minutes.

[00:26:53] The dudes, aside from getting killed,

[00:26:55] they get killed very quickly.

[00:26:57] The women in this movie fall constantly,

[00:27:01] run over by rats, cut in two,

[00:27:03] ceiling collapses, pregnant while doing all of that,

[00:27:07] steel beams on your foot.

[00:27:09] It is women are getting harmed for 77 straight minutes

[00:27:14] and dudes are just like,

[00:27:15] oh that's a tough break.

[00:27:16] We gotta keep moving over and over again.

[00:27:19] It's pretty brutal.

[00:27:20] Yeah.

[00:27:20] Let's say a quick break.

[00:27:21] We'll come back.

[00:27:21] We'll get to the Wait What's and the To Be or Not To Be.

[00:27:35] Hello everybody.

[00:27:36] Welcome back.

[00:27:36] We're talking about Earthquake Underground from To Be.

[00:27:41] It's time for the Wait What.

[00:27:42] It's where we talk about what in this movie.

[00:27:43] Let's go Wait What and I will start with you,

[00:27:45] Brian.

[00:27:45] What made you go Wait What?

[00:27:47] I don't want to keep harping on the electrocution scene,

[00:27:49] but that scene when he said,

[00:27:52] oh I can't get my hands in here,

[00:27:53] we need someone with smaller hands.

[00:27:54] Someone with baby hands.

[00:27:55] Her hands in there.

[00:27:56] There could not be more space.

[00:27:59] It is absurd.

[00:28:01] It's like he knew she was...

[00:28:03] He would electrocute him and he's like,

[00:28:04] hey I can't quite get my hands in here.

[00:28:06] I need someone with smaller hands.

[00:28:07] Yeah, that's the key.

[00:28:08] And just there was so much room.

[00:28:10] He had to have done that because he knew there was a problem.

[00:28:13] And then after that,

[00:28:14] is that just a one-time electrical shock and go forward?

[00:28:17] That's right.

[00:28:18] It's a shock and go situation.

[00:28:19] She gets up and she's good to go.

[00:28:20] She got the shock out of the way.

[00:28:22] The helicopter goes through...

[00:28:23] This I thought was total BS,

[00:28:26] but it turns out it's kind of legitimate.

[00:28:27] When the helicopter gets their walkie talkie on the frequency

[00:28:31] and they're like, oh we can only hear,

[00:28:33] we can't talk back.

[00:28:34] I'm like, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

[00:28:36] That's a great Wait What.

[00:28:37] And I was like, wait a second, can they?

[00:28:38] And I looked it up and you can, in theory,

[00:28:41] hear walkie talkies up on a helicopter.

[00:28:43] My kids get walkie talkies like twice a year,

[00:28:46] birthday, Christmas, somebody gets them for...

[00:28:48] And I will routinely keep them on to hear police frequencies just to do it.

[00:28:53] You can pick it up.

[00:28:53] It's wild man.

[00:28:54] Like radio is wild.

[00:28:56] And if you think all the police are above board,

[00:28:58] do that sometime.

[00:29:00] Grab a random frequency.

[00:29:01] Do that sometime.

[00:29:03] Maybe open up your worldview a little bit.

[00:29:05] Just FYI from me to you.

[00:29:07] The steel beam scene,

[00:29:10] the four foot step, quote unquote, step, if you will,

[00:29:15] that they had to take on a beam of steel.

[00:29:18] A beam of steel.

[00:29:19] Steel beam is what they call it.

[00:29:20] Is very wobbly.

[00:29:23] And then we lost Michael,

[00:29:24] which we discussed that a little bit obviously.

[00:29:26] We hope he rests in peace.

[00:29:28] But that whole scene, I would have believed it until

[00:29:31] it was one of the last shots of the beam where they showed almost like the whole beam.

[00:29:35] And I'm like, I could measure that with...

[00:29:38] Yes.

[00:29:39] A string.

[00:29:40] That thing is one step.

[00:29:43] And that scene went on so long that it got really, really funny that that was...

[00:29:49] It's definitely the second scene to watch.

[00:29:51] Well, maybe the slice in half.

[00:29:54] That's great too.

[00:29:57] If they had just not done that last shot of the beam from under it showing that it was

[00:30:00] like yay big couple feet, I would have been fine.

[00:30:04] But when they showed the whole beam and how close...

[00:30:07] So that's just great stuff right there.

[00:30:10] I love that...

[00:30:12] So Reese goes out to meet...

[00:30:15] Is it Jen?

[00:30:16] Deb.

[00:30:17] Deb.

[00:30:17] Goes out to meet Deb outside and the first initial little earthquake happens.

[00:30:22] And he says...

[00:30:26] Just basically blames the construction crew.

[00:30:28] That's right.

[00:30:29] This guy who...

[00:30:32] You know, architecture is on these type of workplaces all the time.

[00:30:38] Thought that an earthquake could have been the construction crew.

[00:30:42] Construction crew that's not inside anywhere.

[00:30:44] Shaking the ground.

[00:30:44] Yes.

[00:30:46] What has been going on at the construction sites that he's been on?

[00:30:51] When his first thought isn't, it might have been a little earthquake.

[00:30:54] Yeah.

[00:30:55] I just...

[00:30:56] This is literally the world...

[00:30:58] It's not that Deb thought it.

[00:31:01] It's that he, the guy who does this for a living thought, yeah, that's the crew.

[00:31:05] They're at it again.

[00:31:06] There it is.

[00:31:07] Always making the earth shake like that.

[00:31:09] Classic earthquake construction situation.

[00:31:11] We've mentioned it.

[00:31:12] The elevator does function without power in this movie.

[00:31:16] It is unbelievable.

[00:31:17] And it is insane.

[00:31:18] It is wild.

[00:31:23] What do you even do with it?

[00:31:24] I don't know.

[00:31:24] I don't know what you do with it.

[00:31:26] Why did the helicopter insist on landing?

[00:31:30] The ladder would have done the job, right?

[00:31:33] Just drop that bad boy.

[00:31:34] He's like, I gotta land.

[00:31:35] I gotta land for this.

[00:31:36] This will be the best...

[00:31:38] Because you have no idea.

[00:31:39] This building has fallen from above ground to now underground.

[00:31:45] You don't know the structural integrity of building.

[00:31:49] But when it goes from above ground to underground,

[00:31:51] you have to assume you can't land copter on it.

[00:31:54] You can't land copter on building.

[00:31:55] You can't land copter on underground building.

[00:31:56] You cannot land copter on building.

[00:31:58] You can't do it.

[00:31:59] You can't do it.

[00:31:59] It would be a bad idea.

[00:32:00] And it was.

[00:32:02] I don't really even know how to expound on it,

[00:32:05] but I just wrote down the parking garage.

[00:32:08] And I don't really know what to add.

[00:32:11] I just don't know...

[00:32:12] Here is...

[00:32:12] I'll try to help.

[00:32:13] Go ahead.

[00:32:14] So that was my last one.

[00:32:15] So you just take off.

[00:32:15] So they park at a parking garage here,

[00:32:19] but building above ground.

[00:32:20] They're going to this building here also above ground.

[00:32:23] But this building sinks to here, right?

[00:32:29] And they're on the top of this building now.

[00:32:32] So it is about even with the parking garage

[00:32:35] because the parking garage has also sunk some.

[00:32:38] It is not at ground level.

[00:32:39] It is somewhere in between ground level

[00:32:41] and where building underground is.

[00:32:44] And they are on the top of this building

[00:32:46] and they go...

[00:32:46] They don't say if we get to the parking garage,

[00:32:49] we can drive to the roof

[00:32:50] and hopefully someone will see us.

[00:32:52] They literally say the line,

[00:32:53] if we can jump to the parking garage,

[00:32:55] then we can drive out of here.

[00:32:59] No, you cannot.

[00:33:00] You can't.

[00:33:01] You can't.

[00:33:01] You can't.

[00:33:03] I just...

[00:33:06] I need a full murder board to explain everything,

[00:33:09] but they don't...

[00:33:10] Them going to the parking garage

[00:33:12] is just one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

[00:33:14] A car doesn't help them.

[00:33:16] It doesn't help them.

[00:33:17] Turns out it does help them,

[00:33:19] but it wasn't...

[00:33:19] It was supposed to help them.

[00:33:21] It's crazy.

[00:33:21] So, you say that Reese thinks that an earthquake

[00:33:27] is just construction work.

[00:33:29] And you know how I know it's an earthquake

[00:33:31] is because everyone else has already evacuated.

[00:33:35] No one is in any other building

[00:33:38] when they park at the parking garage.

[00:33:40] It's empty.

[00:33:41] The lot they're parking in, empty.

[00:33:45] Everyone else has left this massive town.

[00:33:47] Everyone knows the quake's coming somehow.

[00:33:49] I don't know how they know.

[00:33:51] These 10 people are the only people left in town.

[00:33:55] They are in building that goes underground

[00:33:57] because they were stupid enough to stay in town.

[00:33:59] At the beginning of this movie,

[00:34:01] Brian is building a house of cards.

[00:34:03] It is a substantial house of cards.

[00:34:07] I would say that is an understatement.

[00:34:09] He is on the third floor of this house of cards.

[00:34:12] No less than 200 cards.

[00:34:14] It is intricate.

[00:34:16] It is not a simple pyramid.

[00:34:18] It is circular, all made out of playing cards.

[00:34:21] And somebody in the room goes, 10 bucks says he blows it.

[00:34:26] And then someone else goes, no, Brian's an architecture student.

[00:34:31] That's a weird way to give us that information.

[00:34:33] At some point, he's going to blow it.

[00:34:35] It's a table with a house of cards.

[00:34:37] I don't even know this.

[00:34:38] House of cards notorious for being knocked over.

[00:34:42] That is what they do.

[00:34:43] That is how that happens.

[00:34:45] I am still very concerned as to where they are

[00:34:48] at the beginning of this movie.

[00:34:50] All the following things are true.

[00:34:52] The first scene in this movie takes place

[00:34:54] and behind Brian, there are blinds

[00:34:56] and the sun is shining through the blinds.

[00:34:59] Then, is it Mary, Brian's girl?

[00:35:04] Amy's like, I got to go.

[00:35:06] She gets in the elevator.

[00:35:09] She then takes the elevator

[00:35:11] and Reese and the other two people,

[00:35:14] they show up on the ground floor to get in the elevator.

[00:35:18] It opens, Amy is there.

[00:35:21] They get in and continue to go up.

[00:35:26] How?

[00:35:28] Amy's floor wasn't the bottom.

[00:35:32] That means she had to be going up

[00:35:34] from a place where there was sunlight.

[00:35:39] And I just don't, I don't know how it happened.

[00:35:42] Maybe the, maybe the road behind them is below.

[00:35:49] And so the building, it's like it's built on a hill.

[00:35:53] It's built on a hill.

[00:35:54] They get in the elevator, earthquake happens again.

[00:35:56] They appear to be stuck above ground base.

[00:35:58] And then Reese says, I spent a fortune

[00:36:02] trying to keep these elevators safe.

[00:36:05] Buddy, it's not the elevator.

[00:36:07] The elevator isn't the problem here.

[00:36:09] It's the earthquake.

[00:36:11] Honestly, money well spent.

[00:36:13] Yes.

[00:36:13] The earthquake is so safe in this movie.

[00:36:15] Yes.

[00:36:16] It's the safest place.

[00:36:20] The room with the generators on the second floor.

[00:36:23] It's just easier to get them.

[00:36:25] The thing about the room of the generators you need to know

[00:36:27] is it has been spared from earthquake.

[00:36:29] Every other room is a mess.

[00:36:31] Like sparks flying beams sideways.

[00:36:34] This room concrete walls all intact, not even a crack in them.

[00:36:40] They're just in there working on a generator

[00:36:43] trying to short circuit it to get those wires back attached.

[00:36:46] The room hasn't seen earthquake, never heard of her.

[00:36:50] They don't even know the generator room is like,

[00:36:52] we don't even know the earthquake is fake news.

[00:36:55] We didn't even get the earthquake here.

[00:36:56] We didn't do it.

[00:36:58] It didn't happen.

[00:37:01] The last one I'll do is, is Reese is trying to use his remote to find his car

[00:37:05] and his car makes a sound that no car has ever made when anyone has pressed a button.

[00:37:13] The sound is he's pressing.

[00:37:16] I don't know what button he's pressing.

[00:37:17] Is that the emergency?

[00:37:18] Is it unlock?

[00:37:20] It is a find.

[00:37:21] It's not a to find.

[00:37:23] It's not a it's that's all it does.

[00:37:27] He hits button, car goes.

[00:37:30] It gives you just enough to not be able to find it.

[00:37:34] Sometimes when you lock the car, it makes a little noise.

[00:37:38] All cars are a little bit different.

[00:37:39] This car is giving you just enough to be frustrating.

[00:37:45] Could you do one more?

[00:37:47] I'm going to need a little bit more if you could maybe two or three.

[00:37:50] We're done.

[00:37:51] There's no, it doesn't.

[00:37:53] It's the worst.

[00:37:54] It is the word.

[00:37:54] You just hit the panic button and let it go.

[00:37:56] Right?

[00:37:57] That's how you find the car.

[00:37:58] That's a panic situation.

[00:38:00] That's a situation where you use the panic button.

[00:38:01] That is a perfect, perfect situation.

[00:38:04] So I'm live.

[00:38:05] Dan, anything else?

[00:38:06] They're up for painting at the disco.

[00:38:07] Yeah, really good.

[00:38:11] It's time for 2B or not 2B.

[00:38:12] It's what the hallmarks were.

[00:38:13] We wonder around what could have been maybe have some clarity.

[00:38:15] Any questions that we still have?

[00:38:17] Brian, what are you still wondering about?

[00:38:18] Yeah, I can't help but wonder why run like when they're on the roof near the end

[00:38:24] and the water is coming up, like why run from it?

[00:38:27] Why not just wait and let the water take you bring go up with the water?

[00:38:32] The whole time I'm thinking why run from the water in the parking garage?

[00:38:36] The water was coming down at them somehow.

[00:38:38] It took, you know, the loop to the down.

[00:38:40] They are driving down in that scene, which is...

[00:38:43] But just like get stay on the roof rise up with the water.

[00:38:46] Like, I don't know.

[00:38:47] The water's going to take you.

[00:38:48] Yeah, like rising tide carries all.

[00:38:50] Yes, all boats, ships, what have you.

[00:38:51] Everything in the water will go up.

[00:38:52] That's right.

[00:38:54] I just didn't understand why I run from the water at that point.

[00:38:57] So I'd run from it.

[00:38:58] You would?

[00:38:58] I would.

[00:38:58] You can't swim very well, but you could probably

[00:39:01] get along in that situation.

[00:39:03] I feel like.

[00:39:04] You don't have to, you know, somebody would hold on to you until it fails.

[00:39:08] But how high is it?

[00:39:08] I mean, the water can't go up for infinity.

[00:39:10] Yeah, the water is in a space is not enclosed.

[00:39:13] Right.

[00:39:13] It's going to go over the edge.

[00:39:15] It's going to fall into that giant hole.

[00:39:17] There's no water in the world to fill that up.

[00:39:20] So I just kept thinking.

[00:39:21] Yeah, I'm like, just wait.

[00:39:22] Just sit.

[00:39:23] Wait it out.

[00:39:23] Just sit and let it rush by.

[00:39:24] Yeah, it's pretty straightforward.

[00:39:26] I should probably feel pretty good after all that heat.

[00:39:28] I didn't think of that until just now.

[00:39:29] And it's so basic.

[00:39:31] Just let it roll.

[00:39:33] Just rinse off a little bit.

[00:39:35] Cool down.

[00:39:35] Let it rise.

[00:39:38] So it's been a tough day and Amy finally tells Brian I'm with childs

[00:39:47] and they're both so happy and none of them are concerned about child.

[00:39:51] And I, throughout this entire movie, am very concerned about child

[00:39:55] because Amy has had a tough day.

[00:39:58] She's had a tough day.

[00:39:58] She's gone through earthquake.

[00:40:00] She's fallen a story onto tummy.

[00:40:03] Very concerned about baby and the fact that we did not get any closure.

[00:40:08] The movie ends with them in copter.

[00:40:12] They don't flash forward to them holding baby.

[00:40:16] Nothing.

[00:40:17] Guys, I just need to know if baby's okay.

[00:40:19] That's the one thing I'm missing from this movie is any closure.

[00:40:23] They didn't have to include the storyline of her being pregnant,

[00:40:26] but they chose to.

[00:40:28] And then they give you nothing.

[00:40:28] And then they give us nothing.

[00:40:30] After seeing pregnant woman fall onto her stomach from a story.

[00:40:37] Very concerned and the fact that they didn't tell us anything.

[00:40:40] I'm very, I'm very nervous for them.

[00:40:44] I can't believe we didn't get more information about the Good Samaritan

[00:40:46] to lift that ladder on top of the roof.

[00:40:49] There is a ladder.

[00:40:50] They're looking for it at home like I swear.

[00:40:52] There is a ladder that gets you to the highest point

[00:40:56] and it has been placed there.

[00:40:58] It's not stationary.

[00:41:00] Someone like called Jake from State Farm who was like,

[00:41:03] this is going to get them over the top if they could just have a ladder

[00:41:06] to get them up here.

[00:41:08] And we never find out how it got there, why it's there.

[00:41:11] And I just would love more information on that front.

[00:41:13] I would as well.

[00:41:15] We did everybody.

[00:41:15] Congratulations.

[00:41:16] It is time for double decker of the week is where we do a deep dive

[00:41:20] into the life of one of our double deckers has signed up

[00:41:23] for brain will jam plus.com at the double decker tier or all access,

[00:41:29] which if you're all access, you also get all of our take it to the tapes,

[00:41:33] which Danny mentioned cats.

[00:41:35] We want to audio commentary track for cats.

[00:41:38] So if you'd like to watch cats with us,

[00:41:41] that might be a way that you can do it.

[00:41:43] Brian, who do we have?

[00:41:44] I'm sorry, Dan.

[00:41:44] Who do we have today?

[00:41:45] Sandy day.

[00:41:47] It sure is.

[00:41:49] Sandy day.

[00:41:50] Brian, tell us about Sandy day.

[00:41:52] What'd you dig up?

[00:41:54] Real good info on Sandy day.

[00:41:57] You know, Sandy, I don't know how many people know this about Sandy.

[00:42:01] What's fun about her name is you could just call her Sandy.

[00:42:05] Sandy.

[00:42:06] I'm sure she loved that.

[00:42:08] Sure.

[00:42:08] She's probably never gotten that thrown away.

[00:42:10] No, no, not once.

[00:42:11] So Sandy's got what Sandra day O'Connor.

[00:42:15] Maybe she went with saying to avoid that.

[00:42:17] You guys know who Sandra day O'Connor is?

[00:42:19] I'm sure both of you do.

[00:42:20] Yes.

[00:42:20] Actress.

[00:42:21] Who do you think she is brain?

[00:42:24] Prime minister.

[00:42:25] Wow.

[00:42:27] All right, it's cool.

[00:42:28] You guys.

[00:42:29] So Sandy day, who is obviously more important at this point than Sandra day O'Connor,

[00:42:35] something that affects screaming at the radios, which is just under 3% of people.

[00:42:39] She's got a garlic allergy.

[00:42:43] She doesn't like to talk about it.

[00:42:44] She doesn't mention it to many people because it's kind of a hassle as somebody

[00:42:48] who has an allergy myself.

[00:42:49] It's just kind of a hassle.

[00:42:50] You don't want to bother people.

[00:42:51] Uh, but what's kind of annoying is the people who don't have allergies

[00:42:55] and how they don't get it.

[00:42:56] They can't relate to the problem.

[00:42:58] And so Sandy's decided to time to take this head on,

[00:43:02] put these people in their place so they know what it's like to be in a position

[00:43:06] where you got like an allergy situation.

[00:43:08] So she's opening up a new shop in town.

[00:43:10] Okay.

[00:43:11] Town called garlic knot.

[00:43:16] And so what we're going to have yours.

[00:43:19] Garlic knot is not what you think it is.

[00:43:22] So you go in, if you're a big garlic fan, a bread fan, if you will,

[00:43:26] you go in there and think I'm getting some delicious garlic knots.

[00:43:29] Yeah.

[00:43:29] Jokes on you.

[00:43:30] There's no garlic in these knots.

[00:43:32] It's a garlic garlic knot.

[00:43:34] Is it spelled on the door with K N O T or just N O T?

[00:43:38] N O T.

[00:43:39] So you think people are going to go in there when the sign on the outside says

[00:43:43] garlic looks like an old sign.

[00:43:45] So you think maybe the K

[00:43:47] She did it on purpose to trick people.

[00:43:48] That's messed up, man.

[00:43:49] Yeah.

[00:43:50] Trick the people.

[00:43:50] So her way, her way to fight back against garlic allergies is to trick people into

[00:43:59] eating less flavored bread.

[00:44:00] Right.

[00:44:01] In your face, people who don't have an allergy and thank you very much for not

[00:44:06] stepping on our toes anymore.

[00:44:08] People who do have allergies.

[00:44:09] This is what it's like.

[00:44:10] Do they serve anything aside from bread?

[00:44:12] Just bread.

[00:44:13] Bread knot, no garlic at all.

[00:44:16] You think you're getting a delicious garlic treat.

[00:44:18] Sandy, thankfully is leading the charge here to put the non-allergenic people

[00:44:22] in their place.

[00:44:23] Ba dum ba ba dum ba dum ba ba dum ba ba ba.

[00:44:26] I'm Sandy Day.

[00:44:27] You ever thought I would like food, but I don't want it to taste nearly as flavorful.

[00:44:30] Yeah.

[00:44:31] Just plain khaki pants food for me.

[00:44:33] Give me.

[00:44:33] Come on down to garlic.

[00:44:34] N O T.

[00:44:35] And try out all of our delicious food.

[00:44:37] Will you find any garlic?

[00:44:38] No.

[00:44:39] No way, Jose, you won't.

[00:44:40] But will you find bread without flavor?

[00:44:42] Yes.

[00:44:42] You bet your sweet bottom dollar you will.

[00:44:45] Come on down to garlic now.

[00:44:46] Ba dum ba ba dum ba ba.

[00:44:48] Yeah, it sounds like you got it.

[00:44:50] That tells it the way that it is.

[00:44:52] Thank you, Sandy.

[00:44:54] Thank you to everybody everywhere.

[00:44:57] Until next time, maybe we'll be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas.
