[00:00:55] It goes everywhere

[00:00:57] Soda everywhere

[00:00:59] Wow

[00:01:01] That couldn't have gone better

[00:01:03] How about that

[00:01:05] That's tough

[00:01:07] That's tough

[00:01:09] What a show

[00:01:11] Merry Christmas

[00:01:13] Big show everybody

[00:01:15] We all excited today we're talking about a new mystery

[00:01:17] Series maybe

[00:01:19] Family practice mysteries

[00:01:21] If we're in hell

[00:01:23] What's something that your family is practicing right now?

[00:01:25] Me?

[00:01:27] Yeah

[00:01:29] Oh you know what I had salmon for the first time this weekend on the grill

[00:01:31] And I think I'm about to start practicing

[00:01:33] I was about to say you've had salmon before

[00:01:35] I've seen sushi with you

[00:01:37] Yeah I've had sushi

[00:01:39] So what does this have to do with your family?

[00:01:41] I'm going to start practicing some salmon recipes

[00:01:43] You're going to start practicing

[00:01:45] Around the house

[00:01:47] Yeah Ethan liked it he took it my oldest

[00:01:49] He said he loved salmon he couldn't wait

[00:01:51] He took a bite and he said that was enough

[00:01:53] He only had one bite

[00:01:55] I love salmon

[00:01:57] He didn't like it

[00:01:59] He liked the idea

[00:02:01] I think we had a dry rub on there that was a bit strong for him

[00:02:03] Maybe just some lemon or something

[00:02:05] I'm going to start whipping up some salmon recipes

[00:02:07] And I'm pretty psyched

[00:02:09] He's going to whip them up folks

[00:02:11] Tell us something that your family is practicing right now

[00:02:13] You know just some meditation some yoga

[00:02:15] You know

[00:02:17] Your boys

[00:02:19] A little bit less

[00:02:21] They attack it from a different way

[00:02:23] They've been really wanting to shoot basketball lately

[00:02:25] And I know you think I'm just trying to talk about basketball

[00:02:27] But you know that I literally will never ever tell my kids

[00:02:29] We're going to shoot basketball

[00:02:31] We only do it if they ask

[00:02:33] And they've been really asking a lot lately

[00:02:35] So you know

[00:02:37] Where do you shoot?

[00:02:39] On the driveway

[00:02:41] You got a little hoop

[00:02:43] Step one here's how you pivot

[00:02:45] That's a basketball turn

[00:02:47] Very important one

[00:02:49] I try not to give any instruction

[00:02:51] Awesome

[00:02:53] Keep your whistle in your mouth

[00:02:55] If they miss it

[00:02:57] Sometimes it's tough

[00:02:59] When they just want to throw it behind their head

[00:03:01] I'm like hey try to shoot it regularly

[00:03:03] Dan's storming up down the street

[00:03:05] His face is bright red

[00:03:07] Brad are you practicing anything?

[00:03:09] I'm practicing

[00:03:11] Just like

[00:03:13] Meditation and yoga

[00:03:15] You know how you're trying to get

[00:03:17] From point A to point B

[00:03:19] How do you

[00:03:21] Get through the day

[00:03:23] That's right

[00:03:25] I am practicing

[00:03:27] I don't know

[00:03:29] Nothing really

[00:03:31] I'm trying not to better myself

[00:03:33] Not yet

[00:03:35] I haven't gotten in the water yet this summer

[00:03:37] You've been over a bunch

[00:03:39] I will swim

[00:03:41] I will swim this next week

[00:03:43] Down in Florida

[00:03:45] I'm swimming this Thursday

[00:03:47] I'm swimming today

[00:03:49] I think the water is going to be above

[00:03:51] 80 and that's really when

[00:03:53] It's your weather

[00:03:55] I'm ready

[00:03:57] Erin are you practicing anything right now?

[00:03:59] I actually this weekend

[00:04:01] Last night in fact discovered a new religion

[00:04:03] It is called Parlor Donuts

[00:04:05] God bless you

[00:04:07] You didn't just discover it

[00:04:09] I'm practicing real hard

[00:04:11] There's another religion Christianity

[00:04:13] Which is the bible

[00:04:15] It talks about the new heavens and new earth

[00:04:17] What they're talking about in that particular religion

[00:04:19] Is Parlor Donuts

[00:04:21] Oh that's interesting

[00:04:23] It's not just a parlor

[00:04:25] It's the whole login

[00:04:27] Subscribe to

[00:04:29] Parlor Donuts' religion

[00:04:31] It's the next version of Christianity

[00:04:33] I think they're probably both one and the same

[00:04:35] Yeah I think so too

[00:04:37] All roads lead to the same

[00:04:39] A rising tide carries all ships

[00:04:41] You guys ready to go?

[00:04:43] You with me there Brock?

[00:04:45] Yeah it does

[00:04:47] I don't know a lot about

[00:04:49] Nauticals

[00:04:51] I don't know a ton about nauticals

[00:04:53] About nauticals?

[00:04:55] Yeah

[00:04:57] I need to get a new pair of nauticals

[00:05:01] They come in a two pack?

[00:05:03] Two pack

[00:05:05] You think they'll ship them ground or aeronautical?

[00:05:07] Aeronautical

[00:05:09] Anything else we need to do?

[00:05:11] Is that about coverage?

[00:05:13] Family Practice Mysteries

[00:05:15] Family Practice Mysteries

[00:05:17] Has been

[00:05:19] On Hallmark Movies now forever

[00:05:21] Right?

[00:05:23] It's just been out there

[00:05:25] It's been on Hallmark Movies now forever

[00:05:27] It finally premiered on Hallmark

[00:05:29] Mystery Channel

[00:05:31] This past Friday

[00:05:33] Which is the date I was just looking at

[00:05:35] The 17th of May

[00:05:37] The movie kicks off with these baddies

[00:05:39] Breaking into a

[00:05:41] I think like a medical storage room of sorts

[00:05:43] They get out of there quick

[00:05:45] That's the crime

[00:05:48] Cut to the house

[00:05:50] Of Dr. Rachel Hunt

[00:05:52] Come on down

[00:05:54] She has

[00:05:56] She has two teenage kids

[00:05:58] Chloe and Matthew

[00:06:00] They're twins

[00:06:02] And twins

[00:06:04] And all that they want is a dog

[00:06:06] But mom's not having it

[00:06:08] She's a former army sedge

[00:06:10] Who's recently moved back to her hometown

[00:06:12] And now works at a

[00:06:14] Family Practice Mystery

[00:06:16] After work one day

[00:06:18] She goes to an outdoor pet rescue

[00:06:20] Just kind of look at the dog

[00:06:22] She bumps into this guy

[00:06:24] Detective Jack Quinn

[00:06:26] He's holding two cats

[00:06:28] He barks out loud

[00:06:30] Talks about how great cats are

[00:06:32] He's obsessed with cats

[00:06:34] And she goes back to work

[00:06:36] And when she does

[00:06:38] She's walking outside

[00:06:40] And she sees this guy

[00:06:42] Just walking his dog

[00:06:44] And falls to the ground

[00:06:46] She gets to him

[00:06:48] And gets him to the hospital

[00:06:50] And he's like hey would you mind

[00:06:52] Watching my dog

[00:06:54] Which she agrees to

[00:06:56] And like I really thought

[00:06:58] This was going to be a big part of the movie

[00:07:00] Yeah you did

[00:07:02] She's got a family of four members

[00:07:04] That isn't returning her phone calls

[00:07:06] And so she goes to his house

[00:07:08] She's very serious

[00:07:10] It's a family practice

[00:07:12] We take care of our patients

[00:07:14] And so she goes to see if this guy

[00:07:16] Is what's going on here

[00:07:18] Walks in and sees

[00:07:20] He's dead

[00:07:22] Dead so

[00:07:24] Now this dude is perfectly healthy

[00:07:26] Healthy as a horse

[00:07:28] Did you say horse

[00:07:30] I was reading articles and practicing

[00:07:32] I thought for sure I'd be included

[00:07:34] What are you practicing right now buddy

[00:07:36] Dog sledding

[00:07:38] You're in Greenville

[00:07:40] No I go to the Adirondacks

[00:07:42] You know Fitzy's does the annual Adirondacks trip

[00:07:44] We do the dog sledding

[00:07:46] Your bar

[00:07:48] What do you guys do that whole week

[00:07:50] The key is you have to have the smallest dogs

[00:07:52] Possible to pull a sled

[00:07:54] Is that true

[00:07:56] We love dogs

[00:07:58] Last year I had 50 Chihuahuas

[00:08:00] And they spread the weight

[00:08:02] Evenly over all 50 of them

[00:08:04] So 50 Chihuahuas is better than

[00:08:06] 2 or 3 big boys

[00:08:08] No but the rule of the Fitzy's Adirondack dog sledding

[00:08:10] Is no one dog

[00:08:12] Can weigh over more than 10 pounds

[00:08:14] Is it 10 or is it 9

[00:08:16] It's 9 they changed it in

[00:08:18] 27

[00:08:20] I see

[00:08:22] I think I'm going rat terrier

[00:08:24] How many are you going to name those

[00:08:26] I think I'm going to go 60 rat terriers

[00:08:28] I think so

[00:08:30] 60 RT's

[00:08:32] You think 60 RT's

[00:08:34] Are going to be able to carry your sled

[00:08:36] With me and my keg of beer

[00:08:38] You have to drink a whole keg of beer

[00:08:40] You're like 2 feet

[00:08:42] What are you

[00:08:44] That's a good question

[00:08:46] You're going to guess my weight right now

[00:08:48] No I'm not

[00:08:50] I'm shaming people here on Deck the Hallmark

[00:08:52] This sled

[00:08:54] I'll leave that for Alonzo

[00:08:58] All I'm saying is you're not a small guy

[00:09:00] And the sleds aren't small

[00:09:02] And you're having a keg, that's a lot

[00:09:04] You think 60 RT's is enough

[00:09:06] I do think 60 RT's is enough but Fitzy's won it 5 years in a row

[00:09:08] He swears by the many

[00:09:10] Hairless Dachshunds

[00:09:12] I have to be honest

[00:09:14] With you, I didn't know that there was

[00:09:16] Still a Fitzy's involved

[00:09:18] Yeah

[00:09:20] Jonathan Fitzgerald

[00:09:22] And he

[00:09:24] Says look, they're small but mighty

[00:09:26] He gets 65 hairless

[00:09:28] Dachshunds and they pull

[00:09:30] Look, he's a big boy

[00:09:32] They pull him through all the decks

[00:09:34] Just like that

[00:09:36] Alright, thanks bud

[00:09:38] When is it?

[00:09:40] Next month

[00:09:42] Snowy Adirondacks

[00:09:44] Let's see how it goes, we'll check in on you

[00:09:46] What's the date?

[00:09:48] June 29th

[00:09:50] Really towards the end of it

[00:09:52] I'm training now though

[00:09:54] You don't hear the dogs in the background

[00:09:56] I got a

[00:09:58] That's rough

[00:10:00] I got a rat tear

[00:10:02] Aaron, could you in early July remind me

[00:10:04] To ask Rick how it went

[00:10:06] And I'll be neck deep in Boss Babyfest

[00:10:08] Planning

[00:10:10] Go ahead, I'm sorry Aaron, what's that?

[00:10:14] I mean it's June 29th

[00:10:16] We're probably not going to be able to get him until the first week of July

[00:10:18] Yeah, because it's going to make you

[00:10:20] What do you think, July 8th?

[00:10:22] If I'm not back by July 7th, something's gone wrong with me

[00:10:24] Let's check in on him on July 8th

[00:10:26] Let's do that

[00:10:28] I think that's probably the best move

[00:10:30] You can hear the pages turn

[00:10:32] Alright, so

[00:10:34] What are we trying to say here

[00:10:36] This is one of the few things that Rick's ever talked about

[00:10:38] That I want to see

[00:10:40] I'm pretty invested

[00:10:42] Can you imagine 60 hairless Dachshunds

[00:10:44] You know what sucks about this

[00:10:46] Is he finally has something that he knows we're interested in

[00:10:48] And it's not for another month and a half

[00:10:50] This is cruel

[00:10:52] We're not going to get another update until mid-July

[00:10:54] In June?

[00:10:56] There's no way

[00:10:58] You think he was lying?

[00:11:00] He wouldn't do that

[00:11:02] Rick's a lot of things, he's not a liar

[00:11:04] He's not a liar

[00:11:06] So you might be wondering

[00:11:08] What's going on

[00:11:10] What's going on in this movie

[00:11:12] So he's

[00:11:14] He's coming back from a break I thought

[00:11:16] So he's dead

[00:11:18] Is what I'm trying to get to

[00:11:20] He's healthy as a horse

[00:11:22] Healthy as a horse, don't worry there's not a lot left

[00:11:26] Not a lot left

[00:11:28] Healthy as a horse

[00:11:30] So she would like to find out what the cause of death

[00:11:32] Was

[00:11:34] So

[00:11:36] She decides she's going to go up to the family

[00:11:38] And say hey

[00:11:42] I want an autopsy done

[00:11:44] And the family

[00:11:46] Is like no we're not

[00:11:48] You're whipping them?

[00:11:54] I was just whipping it in the air

[00:11:56] You don't whip the dogs right?

[00:11:58] No I would never whip

[00:12:00] Accidentally

[00:12:02] Incidental contact

[00:12:04] It's 49 RT

[00:12:06] Alright

[00:12:08] It killed one?

[00:12:10] He's just going to take a lap off I think

[00:12:12] Guys

[00:12:17] It's the dead guy's sister-in-law

[00:12:19] That's who did it

[00:12:21] The dead guy's sister-in-law

[00:12:23] And her brother they killed the guy

[00:12:25] And she hangs out with Brendan Penny

[00:12:27] And that my friends was

[00:12:29] Family Breakfast Mystery

[00:12:33] What?

[00:12:35] Man

[00:12:37] Best synopsis of all time

[00:12:39] We'll be right back

[00:12:43] Before all you people email me and go

[00:12:47] Brian you didn't take this movie seriously

[00:12:49] You didn't do a whole thing

[00:12:51] Let me save you the time

[00:12:53] He didn't

[00:12:55] It's right we agree

[00:12:57] It's time for the hot take

[00:12:59] It's where we share exactly how he felt about this movie

[00:13:01] Brian what did you think?

[00:13:03] New mystery

[00:13:05] Family practice

[00:13:07] Brendan Penny

[00:13:09] Yeah big fan of Brendan Penny

[00:13:11] Dan you've been in my head since the last mystery

[00:13:13] And I'm getting

[00:13:15] Happy to be there buddy

[00:13:17] I'm getting tired of all the new mysteries

[00:13:19] I just wish we would know

[00:13:21] What's the intent with a new

[00:13:23] What are your intentions with my Hallmark?

[00:13:25] Exactly

[00:13:27] With our mysteries

[00:13:29] Are they just testing out 35 new mysteries

[00:13:31] Just to see

[00:13:33] Are we eventually going to pick a few

[00:13:35] So we have 100 new mysteries

[00:13:37] We've narrowed it down to 35

[00:13:39] Hillary there is no kiss in this movie

[00:13:41] Which I thought was good

[00:13:43] I was glad

[00:13:45] He does come over for dinner at the end

[00:13:47] But there is no kiss

[00:13:49] This was just ok for me

[00:13:51] I feel like they jammed a lot into this

[00:13:53] A lot of information

[00:13:55] There were a lot of different directions

[00:13:57] Or things in the story going on

[00:13:59] That were introduced

[00:14:01] And then not really resolved

[00:14:03] I'm left with a lot of questions

[00:14:05] Even the mystery itself

[00:14:07] The motive

[00:14:09] I'm like they're just rich people

[00:14:11] Wanting to be rich

[00:14:13] That's just kind of lame

[00:14:15] There's not much interest there

[00:14:17] They never kissed

[00:14:19] Which I thought was a really good move

[00:14:21] And Danny was adopted

[00:14:23] Tell me they're not watching Deck the Hallmark

[00:14:25] I don't know what to tell you

[00:14:27] You didn't even get to that

[00:14:29] So really quickly

[00:14:31] I'll give you a couple of important things

[00:14:33] One

[00:14:35] She and Jack the detective

[00:14:37] He's like really welcoming to her

[00:14:39] Being a part of this investigation

[00:14:41] Which I actually thought was nice

[00:14:43] Because in a lot of these mysteries

[00:14:45] It's like hey look this is police business

[00:14:47] But he's just kind of like come on in

[00:14:49] Let's have some fun

[00:14:51] None of this is confidential at all

[00:14:53] You can be a part of any of this

[00:14:55] Because you're a dog, you're family practice

[00:14:57] And so there's that

[00:14:59] And that was nice

[00:15:01] They actually liked working together

[00:15:03] Straight from the beginning

[00:15:05] It was nice

[00:15:07] But also there is a

[00:15:09] The guy who died apparently had a son

[00:15:11] That no one knew about

[00:15:13] After the fact

[00:15:15] He did a DNA testing

[00:15:17] Turns out it's 100% that guy

[00:15:19] Danny Gilly

[00:15:21] They find out about him

[00:15:23] Because they kill him for money

[00:15:25] They kill him because they had a lot of money

[00:15:27] In crypto, doge

[00:15:29] Guys I get it

[00:15:31] So they went and asked him for money

[00:15:33] And they're like no

[00:15:35] They know that he doesn't have any next of kin

[00:15:37] Next of kin would be his brother

[00:15:39] Who she's married to

[00:15:41] So hey let's kill him then we'll get all the money

[00:15:43] It'll be great

[00:15:45] But then they find out about the son

[00:15:47] That he didn't know about

[00:15:49] And so they go and kill him too

[00:15:51] And then there you go, booboo, Bob's your uncle

[00:15:53] I didn't, no I didn't like it

[00:15:55] It just was really slow

[00:15:57] It felt like this movie was

[00:15:59] Two and a half hours long

[00:16:01] It was slow moving

[00:16:03] And I just, I wasn't really personally

[00:16:05] Invested in the mystery aspect

[00:16:07] Of it

[00:16:09] And you know, I love Brendan Penney

[00:16:11] And anytime he was on the screen I'm like

[00:16:13] I'm having a good time

[00:16:15] But it was, everything was slow moving

[00:16:17] And it was ultra serious

[00:16:19] I didn't feel like there was any

[00:16:21] Real fun in this movie

[00:16:23] And aside from Brendan Penney being like

[00:16:25] Wooo, at the thing

[00:16:27] Everything's very serious

[00:16:29] And she's very serious

[00:16:31] And the kids are very serious

[00:16:33] And it's like, everyone's super serious

[00:16:35] And so

[00:16:37] You know you have these characters that I didn't

[00:16:39] Really necessarily care all that much about

[00:16:41] Mixed with a mystery that I

[00:16:43] Didn't give a squat about

[00:16:45] And that's, it's tough to

[00:16:47] Overcome at that point

[00:16:49] So I'd be okay never seeing another one of these

[00:16:51] Dano? Yeah thanks Brand I hate it

[00:16:53] I think this might be

[00:16:55] My least favorite movie we've

[00:16:57] Watched all year

[00:16:59] Maybe years

[00:17:01] And it's not the worst

[00:17:03] Qualitatively but it's my least favorite

[00:17:05] It's the hardest I've ever

[00:17:07] Had to concentrate

[00:17:09] Or try to concentrate

[00:17:11] To just put my eyes

[00:17:13] Forward on the TV and keep watching

[00:17:15] I was playing a word game

[00:17:17] At one point, I was looking

[00:17:19] For reasons to get up and

[00:17:21] Do things around the office

[00:17:23] I just

[00:17:25] You guys need any pictures?

[00:17:27] Anything painted?

[00:17:29] With mysteries

[00:17:31] Either the mystery needs to be compelling

[00:17:33] Is this loose?

[00:17:35] Does this feel loose to you?

[00:17:37] Do I gotta get out of the table?

[00:17:39] Do I gotta get my tools out?

[00:17:41] Do you guys need anything from anywhere?

[00:17:43] I wanna be under the table for a while

[00:17:45] Either the mystery needs to be compelling

[00:17:47] Or you need to foresee where

[00:17:49] They're going in future installments

[00:17:51] The characters just need to be fun and entertaining

[00:17:53] And it strikes out on all of those

[00:17:55] We've seen Amanda Shull

[00:17:57] And Brendan Penny and stuff we like them in

[00:17:59] It's just not this

[00:18:01] There is no chemistry there

[00:18:03] I don't know why

[00:18:05] They would make more of these

[00:18:07] She's just a family practice doctor

[00:18:09] That people die

[00:18:11] And she's like no, it is murder

[00:18:13] I just

[00:18:15] It was so boring

[00:18:17] So difficult to sit through

[00:18:19] And we have so many mystery

[00:18:21] Wheel pilots

[00:18:23] Let's get back to some of those

[00:18:25] That showed more promise

[00:18:27] Which are all of them

[00:18:29] All of the mysteries we've seen so far

[00:18:31] Have shown more promise than this one

[00:18:33] I just

[00:18:35] This was a tough watch

[00:18:37] Normally the mysteries have a higher floor

[00:18:39] And a lower ceiling than the Hallmark movies

[00:18:41] This movie dug, excavated

[00:18:43] To a new floor

[00:18:45] Way down lower than I thought possible

[00:18:47] Maybe it was the timing

[00:18:49] I don't know what it was

[00:18:51] But I actively dislike this movie

[00:18:53] Even though there is nothing qualitatively

[00:18:55] Like filmmaking wise

[00:18:57] That you're like what happened here

[00:18:59] Or editing wise

[00:19:01] It's just not interesting or fun

[00:19:03] So that's kind of the way

[00:19:05] I couldn't do this for my full time job

[00:19:07] Everybody is like why do you watch movies you hate

[00:19:09] For your full time job

[00:19:11] I love it

[00:19:13] I love watching movies that I think are bad

[00:19:15] If the movies were this

[00:19:17] I could not do it

[00:19:19] It was actively not fun

[00:19:21] It's time for all the feels

[00:19:23] That we talk about

[00:19:25] Feels

[00:19:27] The kids getting a dog at the end

[00:19:29] 100% the feels

[00:19:31] In this movie

[00:19:33] Nicely done

[00:19:35] Weirdly enough

[00:19:37] I did find myself being

[00:19:39] The most interested in

[00:19:41] The twins in this movie

[00:19:43] Like this hey

[00:19:45] You're going to join cheerleader squad

[00:19:47] You're going to be invited to this party

[00:19:49] You can't invite your brother

[00:19:51] I don't want to be a part of it

[00:19:53] We want a dog

[00:19:55] All of that matters so little

[00:19:57] To this entire movie

[00:19:59] But it was probably the only thing I actually kind of cared about

[00:20:01] Like hey what's going to happen

[00:20:03] Is she going to stand up for her brother

[00:20:05] I wonder

[00:20:07] There is a line

[00:20:09] In this movie

[00:20:11] That I asked multiple times

[00:20:13] And I'm happy that someone said it out loud

[00:20:15] You're a doctor

[00:20:17] I don't understand why you're here

[00:20:19] Yes

[00:20:21] That's right

[00:20:23] You know what I appreciate that

[00:20:25] I imagine everyone asking this movie

[00:20:27] Was asking the same question

[00:20:29] So for them to be like let's just get this out of the way

[00:20:31] Let's get this out of the way

[00:20:33] And we're going to have someone actually say it out loud

[00:20:35] The thing is

[00:20:37] There's a lot of these movies where the person that isn't in the police force

[00:20:39] Or working for the criminal justice department

[00:20:41] Where they shouldn't be there

[00:20:43] Hannah Swenson shouldn't be there

[00:20:45] But in this movie it is egregious

[00:20:47] How Amanda Shull is just grilling people

[00:20:49] And then

[00:20:51] Someone

[00:20:53] You're 100% right

[00:20:55] Someone finally just stops and goes wait a minute

[00:20:57] You're a doctor

[00:20:59] What are you even doing here

[00:21:01] And that is it was wild that that happened

[00:21:03] And that's really this whole movie in a line

[00:21:05] As far as feels for me absolutely not

[00:21:07] Nothing no

[00:21:09] We're going to take a perquit

[00:21:11] Yep

[00:21:13] We're going to take a perquit

[00:21:15] My doctor did not subscribe those to me

[00:21:17] I think that's habit forming

[00:21:19] I don't think you're allowed to do that

[00:21:21] You can't sell drugs

[00:21:23] You can't do that

[00:21:25] I'm doing much better

[00:21:27] We're all on perquits

[00:21:29] We're going to take a perquit

[00:21:31] You speak for yourself

[00:21:33] You're not putting anything in my drink

[00:21:35] No one else is doing that

[00:21:37] It was meant for me

[00:21:39] I'm practicing

[00:21:41] We're going to take a perquit

[00:21:43] It's time for the wait what

[00:21:45] What is it we're talking about

[00:21:47] I mean restraining orders

[00:21:49] Not allowed I guess

[00:21:51] At some point I'm like

[00:21:53] They can tell her to stop doing this

[00:21:55] She can't just show up everywhere all the time

[00:21:57] Wherever she wants but she did

[00:21:59] The authorities just could not have cared less

[00:22:01] About Russ I think his name was Russ

[00:22:03] Russ the piece obviously

[00:22:05] They just not even a second thought

[00:22:09] Surprisingly

[00:22:11] Bren let me get your take on this

[00:22:13] The coroner did not really have a killer's face in my opinion

[00:22:15] In this movie

[00:22:17] You've been talking smack about coroners

[00:22:19] Lots

[00:22:21] I have and you know what

[00:22:23] I will say she

[00:22:25] I didn't believe it

[00:22:27] I don't even know if she's out there

[00:22:29] Just being like we did everything we can

[00:22:31] I don't know

[00:22:33] She's not trustworthy

[00:22:35] Not a killer but you don't trust her

[00:22:37] Neither did she clearly

[00:22:39] She was like

[00:22:41] Here's a list of things you could test

[00:22:43] I'll do your job for you

[00:22:45] I was surprised she took that list

[00:22:47] And said okay I'll do it

[00:22:49] She probably just crinkled it up

[00:22:51] Threw it right in the trash

[00:22:53] Serving a court order at a funeral

[00:22:55] Is a baller move

[00:22:57] That's the only way

[00:22:59] I've seen them serve

[00:23:01] I finally started going to funerals

[00:23:03] Am I right boys

[00:23:07] Look what I got here

[00:23:09] That's what the sequel is

[00:23:11] They just wait to grave side

[00:23:13] They all roll in with the sirens

[00:23:15] 21 gun salute in the background

[00:23:17] Here's a court order

[00:23:19] No restraining orders allowed

[00:23:21] No lawyers allowed

[00:23:23] In interrogations either

[00:23:25] Not even a question

[00:23:27] Did I get a lawyer for this conversation

[00:23:29] Let this doctor ask you whatever she wants

[00:23:31] And they played the kids

[00:23:33] I was sort of more interested in the kids too

[00:23:35] Their storyline

[00:23:37] What's going on in their lives

[00:23:39] They were playing this game of Scrabble

[00:23:41] Is it because they couldn't use the real Scrabble

[00:23:43] They were doing it in a weird way

[00:23:45] Where they each had their own words in front of them

[00:23:47] Do you catch this

[00:23:49] They were building out their own

[00:23:51] It wasn't on a board of words

[00:23:53] This could have been in one of my absences

[00:23:55] I think you were tightening some screws

[00:23:57] Yeah in front of them

[00:23:59] Sorry what was that

[00:24:01] They had the letters in front of them

[00:24:03] And they were making the words in front of them

[00:24:05] Is that what that is

[00:24:07] Oh banana grams

[00:24:09] Banana gram

[00:24:11] I didn't know that was a real game

[00:24:17] What Aaron

[00:24:19] It's a real thing

[00:24:21] Alright stupid me

[00:24:25] It does

[00:24:27] What's a banana sack

[00:24:29] It's a bag shaped like a banana

[00:24:31] That's what it is

[00:24:33] I'd like to see some proof on that

[00:24:35] It sounds like something a coroner would tell me

[00:24:37] Alright it looks like a banana sack

[00:24:39] Can I get a

[00:24:41] What are those things called

[00:24:43] They go around your waist

[00:24:45] Fanny pack banana sack

[00:24:47] I haven't worn one in a while

[00:24:49] I literally got you one for Christmas

[00:24:51] Two years ago

[00:24:53] That is awesome

[00:24:55] We should all get one

[00:24:57] That looks great

[00:24:59] It's got a koozie

[00:25:01] At the end

[00:25:03] They finally arrest the family

[00:25:05] Well that's a nice looking

[00:25:07] Banana sack

[00:25:09] That is one of the banana sacks we've seen on screen

[00:25:13] Probably the best all around

[00:25:15] It looked nice and comfy

[00:25:17] The sirens at the end went on

[00:25:19] So long

[00:25:21] Well the perps were done

[00:25:23] They were gone to jail

[00:25:25] And sirens are still blaring

[00:25:27] It went on so long

[00:25:29] You're right it did

[00:25:31] I have a few

[00:25:33] At the beginning of this movie they're breaking in

[00:25:35] They get some stuff from one thing

[00:25:37] That is secured with a padlock

[00:25:39] Easy take it out

[00:25:41] The other one

[00:25:43] They go over and they try a code

[00:25:45] And they say it's not working

[00:25:47] So they just cut the padlock

[00:25:49] It's a code if you can just cut the padlock

[00:25:51] Usually it's like one or the other

[00:25:53] This is like oh it's not working

[00:25:55] Easy

[00:25:57] If you get the code correct what happens

[00:25:59] What happens because it's still padlocked

[00:26:01] There's nothing you can do

[00:26:03] That's tough

[00:26:05] For me the most egregious

[00:26:07] Because she's going and she's like talking to people

[00:26:09] Trying to get information

[00:26:11] And it's like probably not your place to do that

[00:26:13] But whatever

[00:26:15] The one time where I was most like

[00:26:17] What is she doing there

[00:26:19] Is when they did serve the autopsy

[00:26:21] Because one

[00:26:23] You already tried to do that without the police

[00:26:25] So like now

[00:26:27] I'm going to for some reason

[00:26:29] Go with the police

[00:26:31] To your brother's funeral

[00:26:33] And be there when he serves you

[00:26:37] That's wild

[00:26:39] That's crazy

[00:26:41] And then she has the audacity

[00:26:43] To say like I don't like doing this police stuff

[00:26:45] Yes you do

[00:26:47] You loved it

[00:26:49] You ate it up

[00:26:51] You willingly went to someone's funeral

[00:26:53] With the police to have them serve the autopsy

[00:26:55] That's crazy

[00:26:57] Speaking of the autopsy

[00:26:59] At one point

[00:27:01] Are we not in agreement

[00:27:03] That the best case scenario

[00:27:05] Would be that he died of natural causes

[00:27:07] She's

[00:27:09] So like

[00:27:11] There's no way

[00:27:13] She's in great shape

[00:27:15] She's rooting for a murder

[00:27:17] She's rooting for there to be something

[00:27:19] At one point she says I really hope

[00:27:21] That the autopsy proves

[00:27:23] That there was foul play

[00:27:25] I don't know like

[00:27:27] I understand if you just saw him and he's really healthy

[00:27:29] Being like

[00:27:31] I bet there's more

[00:27:33] But best case would be natural death though right

[00:27:35] Well then she missed something

[00:27:37] If it's natural then she missed something

[00:27:39] So that's her whole thing

[00:27:41] She's like I hope this guy was brutally murdered

[00:27:43] So I wasn't wrong

[00:27:45] Yeah I got it

[00:27:47] Shout out to this high school party

[00:27:49] That has a guest list

[00:27:53] Crazy it's nuts

[00:27:55] I didn't know they did that

[00:27:57] I didn't go to many

[00:27:59] High school parties

[00:28:01] But I don't

[00:28:03] Is there a bouncer at the door

[00:28:05] What is your name

[00:28:07] You're not on the list you get a scram

[00:28:09] My favorite line of this movie is

[00:28:11] There is a guy who

[00:28:13] They're questioning

[00:28:15] It's our guy Milo

[00:28:17] They're questioning him because he sent some emails

[00:28:19] And he says to Brendan Penny

[00:28:21] Sending emails isn't a crime

[00:28:23] And Brendan Penny goes maybe

[00:28:25] No it's not

[00:28:27] Definitely not a crime

[00:28:29] You're right

[00:28:31] Maybe

[00:28:33] Who can really say what is the law

[00:28:35] If they had a lawyer here we could tell

[00:28:37] Maybe if there was a lawyer

[00:28:39] For the second time I'm questioning you

[00:28:41] And you still don't have a lawyer present

[00:28:43] I understand why she wants an autopsy

[00:28:45] I don't understand

[00:28:47] Why the entire town of wherever this movie takes place

[00:28:49] Is all conspiring

[00:28:51] To make sure that

[00:28:53] There is no autopsy performed

[00:28:55] I've never seen

[00:28:57] A group of professionals

[00:28:59] Just refuse to do

[00:29:01] Any more than the bare minimum

[00:29:03] When determining cause of death

[00:29:05] At one point the coroner goes

[00:29:07] Sometimes the body just quits

[00:29:09] He's 61

[00:29:11] With a clean bill of health

[00:29:13] No

[00:29:15] That is not how that works at 61

[00:29:17] And then the coroner says

[00:29:19] Well it was just unknown natural causes

[00:29:23] Just keep going down the list

[00:29:25] You can't

[00:29:27] It's what

[00:29:29] No no no

[00:29:31] Natural causes is known

[00:29:33] If we don't know

[00:29:35] What causes death

[00:29:37] We can rule out natural

[00:29:39] Causes right

[00:29:41] If we find it's cardiac arrest

[00:29:43] Not natural

[00:29:45] Right unknown natural

[00:29:47] Causes is literally anything

[00:29:49] Like

[00:29:51] You she anybody

[00:29:53] What like you can't just do that

[00:29:55] On unknown old age

[00:29:57] There is a

[00:29:59] There's a natural cause out there

[00:30:01] It's death and it's not old age

[00:30:03] Haven't discovered and we don't know what it is

[00:30:05] We haven't discovered it yet

[00:30:07] It's unknown natural

[00:30:09] Causes that's what this

[00:30:11] Is a classic

[00:30:13] Unknown natural cause situation

[00:30:15] That is the sound of a murderer talking

[00:30:17] Maybe it was unknown natural

[00:30:19] Causes I didn't do anything

[00:30:21] Maybe

[00:30:23] Amanda Schull doesn't know what SVU stands for

[00:30:25] Last time I checked

[00:30:27] You're in between the ages of 30 and 60

[00:30:29] You know what SVU stands for

[00:30:31] Stop it

[00:30:33] You also are a medical professional

[00:30:35] You know what SVU stands for

[00:30:37] You just

[00:30:39] You just don't

[00:30:41] It's ridiculous

[00:30:43] It's unknown

[00:30:45] They're

[00:30:47] They are hell bent on just saying cheerleader

[00:30:49] For everything not cheer

[00:30:51] Or cheerleading

[00:30:53] Are you going to try out for cheerleader

[00:30:55] Which is a bit that I felt like we would do

[00:30:57] Hey apparently unspecified

[00:30:59] Natural causes

[00:31:01] Fine with unspecified

[00:31:03] That means died in their sleep

[00:31:05] And could it have been

[00:31:07] A combination of clogged arteries

[00:31:09] And lack of air and all these things

[00:31:11] That happen when you get old

[00:31:13] Yes unknown implies that

[00:31:15] You we don't know

[00:31:17] There's reasons that you die naturally

[00:31:19] That we've yet to discover

[00:31:21] Maybe they're on planet Mars

[00:31:23] I don't like that is way different than

[00:31:25] Unspecified yeah somebody dies in their sleep

[00:31:27] We don't know specifically if it was

[00:31:29] They had the flu and heart failure

[00:31:31] We don't know so we just say

[00:31:33] You know unspecified

[00:31:35] Unknown means we've not discovered it yet

[00:31:37] We're just out here doing things

[00:31:39] They try to do a jump scare

[00:31:41] In this movie and it's the worst attempt

[00:31:43] At a jump scare I've ever seen

[00:31:45] It's a runner, a female runner running alone

[00:31:47] At night after she watches a dude

[00:31:49] Run away and it goes right

[00:31:51] Like it's like she just

[00:31:53] Appeared out of nowhere

[00:31:55] And I'm saying something because Dan and I saw

[00:31:57] Strangers chapter one last week

[00:31:59] And we saw some pretty dumb jump scares

[00:32:01] Where people are supposed to be there

[00:32:03] Or not or vice versa

[00:32:05] And this you would hear

[00:32:07] This runner they're running

[00:32:09] On the sidewalk you would hear them

[00:32:11] They'd be like

[00:32:13] They would not just show up

[00:32:15] Out of nowhere

[00:32:17] Alright that's all I got

[00:32:19] It's time for what the Hallmark story

[00:32:21] Ryan what are you still wondering about

[00:32:23] I was wondering about a lot

[00:32:25] Basically everything they introduced and didn't wrap up

[00:32:27] Like what

[00:32:29] How did the kids end up adjusting

[00:32:31] Like what happened with those kids

[00:32:33] In their friend group

[00:32:35] What happened to that guy and his dog

[00:32:37] Did he get that job at the cafe

[00:32:39] Making sandwiches

[00:32:41] Why was that family broke

[00:32:43] Where did all their money come from

[00:32:45] All this stuff like this background info

[00:32:47] I was really curious

[00:32:49] I thought the mystery and the story itself

[00:32:51] Was subpar for my viewing

[00:32:53] That I had all these extra questions

[00:32:55] And then what happens with

[00:32:57] The assets

[00:32:59] Who does it go to now

[00:33:01] Cause his kid died right

[00:33:03] The brother and sister in law are going to jail

[00:33:05] Yeah but his brother didn't

[00:33:07] Oh the other brother maybe he gets it all

[00:33:09] Well no the brother he didn't know about it

[00:33:11] So maybe he doesn't hurt everything

[00:33:13] He should still get it

[00:33:15] I would hope so for his sake

[00:33:17] I would like to know

[00:33:19] For sure

[00:33:21] You care more than I do

[00:33:23] So we talk a lot about how

[00:33:25] Like you shouldn't live in Hannah Swenson's town

[00:33:27] Stuff like that

[00:33:29] I don't know how you do

[00:33:31] Another one of these

[00:33:33] With the title

[00:33:35] Family Practice Mysteries

[00:33:37] Because that would mean

[00:33:39] That somebody else is going to mysteriously die

[00:33:41] That she is the primary physician for

[00:33:43] And at that point

[00:33:45] There should be an investigation

[00:33:47] So she doesn't want it

[00:33:49] Yeah of course

[00:33:51] That is

[00:33:53] If she has two patients

[00:33:55] Get murdered

[00:33:57] That's next level

[00:33:59] In this small town

[00:34:01] I don't know how you do a sequel

[00:34:03] Especially with the title

[00:34:05] They really painted themselves into the corner

[00:34:07] Family Practice Mysteries

[00:34:09] That's a corner

[00:34:11] It's like homework

[00:34:13] Let's throw it out there

[00:34:15] If it's a one off

[00:34:17] It's a Family Practice Mystery

[00:34:19] Then great

[00:34:21] But it is Mysteries

[00:34:23] At one point in this movie

[00:34:25] Amanda Scholl's character brings home

[00:34:27] A Belgian Malinois

[00:34:29] Mixed breed dog

[00:34:31] To her kids

[00:34:33] Her kids literally maybe five minutes earlier

[00:34:35] In the movie have been saying

[00:34:37] You promised us a dog when we got back from Germany

[00:34:39] She brings home this dog

[00:34:41] That is not their dog

[00:34:43] They're watching it

[00:34:45] She does not call ahead

[00:34:47] She does not tell them

[00:34:49] She literally her two children are like

[00:34:51] We want a dog you promised us a dog

[00:34:53] She brings home a dog that is not

[00:34:55] Theirs

[00:34:57] Without any heads up at all

[00:34:59] And I just want to know who do you think you are

[00:35:01] That's really the entire

[00:35:03] What the homework

[00:35:05] Why in the world would she not

[00:35:07] Her kids are starving for a dog

[00:35:09] Why would you not give them a heads up

[00:35:11] And just go

[00:35:13] Hey I'm bringing home a dog but don't get too excited

[00:35:15] It's not for us we're doing a favor

[00:35:17] Right like that was

[00:35:19] That was a lot for me

[00:35:21] That was a lot for me to handle there

[00:35:23] We did everybody congratulations

[00:35:25] The good news is the week's not over yet

[00:35:27] We'll be back tomorrow Patrick's going to be joining us again

[00:35:29] A little

[00:35:31] What's it called

[00:35:33] Mommy Nina's is the name of the movie

[00:35:35] Looking for

[00:35:37] Were you looking for the show name

[00:35:39] Deck the Lifetime I'm Corked

[00:35:41] No I was looking for the movie title

[00:35:43] That's why I said a little

[00:35:45] A little mommy meanest

[00:35:47] We will be back tomorrow
