[00:00:01] Hi, I'm Brian and I love preview show Brian I like preview shows Dan We are You reach over and hit a button I thought you'd just cut me off there that's on there. No, no, no, sorry
[00:00:39] I'm a pro. I should have known better. How we doing everybody were doing good Yeah Prejudice to the deuce even more prejudice Prejudice On taylor and Travis, how are we doing in that regard? Holy ever cam
[00:01:21] If you are somehow living under a rock you do still need to talk it in the bike If you were somehow under a rock and not watching the Was it ravens chiefs a fc championship? Yes
[00:01:37] Um at the end taylor was on the field and we got to see big kids performance. Oh, yeah I were kissing some big ones on that field It was very sweet
[00:01:49] As soon as the game was over I switched it over to fox for the other game and did not know this happened until I heard about it in I think maybe a double-decker chat
[00:01:58] My super bowl and it's everything I wanted. Hi, nothing happy for him. You think she's coming over she's coming over for a super bowl I know she's she technically can but is it the best thing for yes for the tour? Okay. Yes for the tour
[00:02:11] Well, it's after four straight nights of concerts in tokyo She's on a private jet and sleeps. What's her next show after the super bowl the next weekend? She has a lot of days off
[00:02:20] That's a lot of time off and it's the same tour so she doesn't have to learn any new moves or anything right? So she can be on the boat with galsy Yeah Move in her sleep. She could do this show in her sleep Yeah
[00:02:31] And she's literally just gonna get on a private jet and sleep the whole time they fly back and still be there 12 hours or saying she really cared about her fans. She would just stay there and kind of rest up and Why would she stay in tokyo though?
[00:02:46] Every one of his games at this point he's focused on the tour, you know super bowl I love the fact that she's she always says no to doing the super bowl a halftime show. I think that's great
[00:02:55] Well, legally she couldn't do the super bowl until the last couple years, but she said no They've asked her yeah, I love it She's going Before ushers do this
[00:03:07] Brian where have you been? You know under a rock especially yes huba stank from what I understand. Oh my god A mashup? Oh, wow Can you imagine okay, but the super bowl halftime show would be really boring after two songs
[00:03:19] Say what for huba stank? Yeah, it'd be one song. I think found a reason. What's the other one? They get some bangers Stop it Brian Of what you're you're looking at your missus. I
[00:03:36] Ironically likes huba stank. I like some who is saying I can look I can name you five creed songs The fact that you had to look it up on your phone. I'm not saying I know everything there But there's more than one banger by huba stank for sure
[00:03:49] The reason no Trails off, I don't really like the reason that's the slow one right? You don't like the reason you don't need that What Brian you have said so many things today and each time I really just
[00:04:09] It's taking me a moment to it's tough out there. It's tough for brian Once that I remember and I'm not seeing Not that it's dead air. It's that we've waited for brian to find those other huba stank bangers
[00:04:27] And he can't do it. Oh, that's tough man. But when they play the reason after yeah He what is that? What is crawling sing it for me a few bars are crawling in the dark
[00:04:39] We can't do that. We're heavy heavy. I do know that song. Yeah, I knew that I knew that later. Yeah Crawling in the dark where I'm with you
[00:04:49] Hold me now. I'm crawling in the dark and I'm sinking. It'll be a super bowl shelf. It sounds like creed for super bowl Oh my gosh What do we have to do to ironically go see creed and heritage if someone buys us all tickets we'll go
[00:05:05] Any christmas pockets on the switch for opening for creed and the weirdest tour of all time Foreman's gotta be like this is the end right? Yes. It's in simpson. Yeah. Oh, it's simpson. Oh outdoors outdoors
[00:05:17] Creed think they can contain creed. No, I wouldn't even the door there don't even dare get out of here Um, all right great job with the air Uh, all right, it's time to preview some movies. Yeah We're starting on hallmark movies and mysteries
[00:05:34] Can you believe that isn't jane austin yet? This isn't jane austin. This is home month Yes, February is jane austin month. It is not on the movie. What do you think about jane austin month? I think there's a lot of 18th century authors out there
[00:05:49] I don't know. Do we have to just do one? Can we do a few more authors is awesome sand? You didn't have somebody who else writes books You know who has a collection of six or more one Of hers no any other To 100 oh
[00:06:08] resting on my laurels would have been a great um Movie to do by an author from the 18th century So didn't jane austin live in the 18th and 19th centuries? That opens it up a little bit more too. That's even more people
[00:06:23] Didn't she wasn't she around during the revolutionary war and then turn of this entry I had her Her birthday Emily Boyd says dan is correct and she does taxes
[00:06:41] Yeah, so even more authors we could have chosen for if we were gonna pick a time in the past centuries So what you're saying is is that Jane austin is in your estimation overrated overrated overrated. I guess you say would you say like
[00:06:59] The most overrated of all time I would say of all time name it's not let's not even think about two centuries all the centuries Who needs her Aaron how you doing over there bud?
[00:07:14] I mean, this is not the first time today. Brian has said this to my face. Um Who needs her? Oh I don't know A lot of people in the chat upset at brian harold right about what my hubus tanks Another title I found one I recognize
[00:07:39] I found one title fine. The reason's fine All right, listen at lunch today. I I bet brian He wouldn't say the line. I can't believe hallmark is devoting an entire month to the most overrated author of her generation or any generation And he didn't quite do that
[00:08:00] But as close as he could do it he tried I felt like if I said it Then there would be people out there that listened that would literally not know that I was ever joking But I felt like brian
[00:08:11] I do just want to say like I honestly don't know how hot that take is I've read zero jade austin books so for Could be true. Right could be true if she was that good. I would have read her
[00:08:22] I haven't I will read one of these before one of the movies airs I would like to do that much at least one of them because I got a number of chances here What do you start with?
[00:08:31] I don't know. I gotta pick one probably later in the month. I'm prejudiced right you're gonna start with pride and Prejudice. I don't know we gotta go later in the month. I feel like you need a little time
[00:08:38] It's a lot of jennie collars and Darcy and benet start with linda mechanical lips. That's a good idea I should start that's my favorite of hers Let's start over with movies and mysteries which has nothing to do with jane austin
[00:08:49] I would say after prime prejudice jane austin's like like other books She's written a lot like hoobas takes other songs So you think pride and prejudice is jane austin's reason? The reason yeah, yeah, and then emma is like whenever you call the dark Yes Oh
[00:09:06] The only place you get a jane austin hoobas tank crossover reference that matches up perfectly Yeah, actually Brian what were you saying about barbie's feel park? I can even name a hoobas tank song that that's like Then you're brian you were talking about barbie earlier and how
[00:09:21] I got some thoughts. So what I was thinking Let's talk about the start with homeraboo's and mysteries Um Where are we starting again a homeraboo's and mysteries has nothing to do with jade austin month Star this is uh just brian
[00:09:38] What is the name of this movie? Okay gilded new port mysteries murder at the breakers Almost at the backers could they make it longer? Period piece gilded new port mysteries colon what period murder at the breakers the gilded new port I'm bored already gilded period Uh, it's 19 it's 1895
[00:10:00] Guys when I teach us history the gilded age is the one era of history. I want to skip that's post Jane Austen alone It is post Maloney and Jane Austen post monday to steckys. Yes. Um, this is starring ali scott b Starring ali scott by and danny griffin

[00:11:01] Today on the upper east side We thought the ice cream truck was coming it wasn't it wasn't So that was just so weird guy playing ice cream tunes extra extra subscribe like It's july 1895 and the new york elite have decamped the what What Decapped Decapped
[00:11:40] They have decapped to new port rhodiolix There's for there's deforets there's decamped For the summer of balls Garden parties I wonder what was hot as Reading merry christmas play the outro please please already let me get through this i'm starting with the movies of mysteries. Yeah, we know
[00:12:08] It's july 1895 And the new york elite camp and the new york elite have decamped to new port rhodiolix for a summer of balls Garden parties and yacht races Covering these events for the women's pages of the new port observers is emma vanderbilt cross
[00:12:30] A fearless 21 year old writer with family ties to the wealthy vanderbilt family But writing articles about food and fashion is the last thing on emma's mind when her half-brother brady cross Played by james drew dean Mary go round is arrested for the murder of goddard played by
[00:12:52] I can't i'm not going to come on Cessarie scarpone Scarpone has got to be right. Yeah the long time vanderbilt business advisor She Describe decides to take matters into her own hands and sets off to prove her half-brothers innocence
[00:13:12] Discovering goddard had more than his fair share of enemies as emma investigates with the help of a police detective and crush jesse white A housekeeper nanny o'neill Her name is name. Yes, and the coroner's assistant harriet rice. She was born to be a housekeeper. She's uh
[00:13:33] She's plunged into a word into a word of intrigue and danger a wild a word. It's what it says It's a war. She's plunged into a word of intrigue and danger While a trap happens during the summer balls While attracting the attention of the town's mysterious new stranger
[00:13:55] As emma grows closer to the truth goddard's true murderer goes on the offensive Willing to stop it nothing Just let them work to speak american willing to stop it nothing to keep their identity a secret
[00:14:13] Tell me right now what that movie is about without looking down brain. Oh man Who me yeah, okay, so a A journalist who doesn't like writing about things her half-brother dies She's working with this police chief who she has a
[00:14:25] Or detective who she has a crush on there's a few other people that they think might do it and then the investigation Great. I got nothing. I got nothing out of that canter Yes, hello there I want a preview episode How's this a surprise?
[00:14:42] How are you buddy? I'm doing great. I have the goal so many times. Yes. I can't get over it In the summer of balls don't get me started. What are your thoughts on this movie?
[00:14:51] Well, it sounds like there is some intrigue some murder some mischief even I love some mischief You said you had a question. I do not have a question today. Thank you to canter. I've got thank you for your time
[00:15:03] God bless service like military service. I was not saying thank you for that right, um Yes Let's uh rate these movies out of these movies Oh, just this one
[00:15:18] Uh, I wouldn't we're coming up with a thing to rate them out. Oh, we gotta do it February February hearts But it's just chain Austin about arrows out of Um out of prejudices well books Um
[00:15:32] Old-fashioned book pens feather pens. Okay, we'll do it out of feather pens persuasions out of parks Too late feather pens uh brian go ahead. All right Yeah, cool. Yeah, we could all say quills. We can't we'll allow it um, so the number of feather pens, um
[00:15:49] Of three for the balls Alone the new york elite going to newport and we're back on their day to camp Uh, yeah right down the middle three quills for me right out the gate right out the gate. The mystery's been good so far
[00:16:06] The mystery having feels like we've seen something more they've been good in general even last year Really strong mystery showing so I feel like they're gonna keep it up three quills
[00:16:16] Does anyone know what to camp at sorry go ahead air they leave for no taking purposes two creams each Yeah, I guess we're gonna get a second cream for seven movies break it out cream closet What does the camp mean?
[00:16:30] I guess it means to go somewhere and camp out somewhere else and live for a while like Like you go to like rich people go to the hamptons. I see they're the camp I don't know they're hampton the hamptons. Yeah the the camp Yeah
[00:16:45] Business or household in another area rich people have gone away for the summer is basically what they're trying to Hopefully they're behaving they decided in that description. It was time to say to camp and summer of balls
[00:16:56] That's why I don't know what to tell you for the balls. It's a big fat zero to me none The least amount of intrigue I have in anything is anytime a movie takes place in between 1880 and 1900
[00:17:06] I just don't care and then you have to win me back over After that and sometimes you can they will sometimes you can't but you start sometimes you can't with my sometimes you can't But sometimes they're gonna start really really low my expectations are low
[00:17:20] This does not sound pleasant to me at all zero quills zero creams bring it back to you Yeah, one calls are it's kind of ruined time periods for me. I don't know How close this is to that time but it's close enough. It's uh, it's causing discomfort
[00:17:33] I'm going to go with one one one quill for me one quill because I do love a good If it's I do love a mystery a mystery of love. So why the heck not? um Are you ready for the next one? This is the first movie
[00:17:46] Of the Jane Austen, uh, love you wary series this love you airy with Jane austin is the All right, Jane finally getting her dude. Yes about time paging never man paging mr. Darcy His name in the movie starring at mallory jansen
[00:18:04] And will kimp didn't they already do a Darcy series with Cindy busby and ryan pavy Yes, okay great just making sure it's different though when six books This is like the hundredth movie that they've done off her estate is driving
[00:18:19] Yeah, I just don't hallmark alone imagine only writing six books um when professor elwes cavendish Is asked to give the keynote speech at a Jane austin conference an annual event that combines scholarship and fandom She's dubious f off Just to camp somewhere else. That's right
[00:18:43] After all she's writing about how money not love is the most important thing in austin's work Will a bunch of people whose likes dressing up In empire waist gowns and pretending to go to balls
[00:18:58] Really want to hear what she has to say when she meets sam played by kimp. She uh, who puts on the The Breaches And frot coat the bridges probably is britches. It's a re e chs. It can be I think Breaches breaches But on the breaches
[00:19:20] Um, I don't know and the frot coat of the events official mr. Darcy every year. She's Disgusted yeah immediately judging him as a cad Who uses the event to meet women? Sam and elwes must get past their prejudices Um overcome their pride And
[00:19:47] What they did and there's a book called that Prejudice and admit they're both drawn to austin's work for the same reason an absolute belief in love I love how we read a wholesome opcise from the gilded age with like decamped and christmas balls and our summer ball
[00:20:04] Excuse me and brand his breaking point is the word dubious He hears that he's like f all the way off the line Uh shout out to taylor albers over at hallmark media brine. Yeah Um, I don't know what to do here um I will count
[00:20:23] He gets a quill obviously um Mallory jensen i Deserving of a quill as well Fandom another i'm gonna go i guess i'm going three quills right out the gate on this one The last one was right out the gate this you're out of the gate now
[00:20:40] But this is the first um one on the of the Jane austin month. Yes, so right out the gate jane austin wise the jay austin gate So three quill for for me. It's the jane austin gate. I don't know I um
[00:20:54] Yeah, I'm interested like I wonder if will can is will camp playing an american playing a british Like what's he gonna do there like it does where does this movie take place? What's his deal?
[00:21:03] Like what I'm mainly interested in what accent he's gonna have. Yeah. Yeah, um because that I think will Be the deciding factor on where this movie goes like if he's if he's if he's uh talking in will kimp normal voice It's tough for me not to enjoy that
[00:21:21] Um, we'll see i'm intrigued I'm nervous. I'm dubious. I'm going with three quills. Uh, yeah, so this movie sounds like hot trash. I will say Will kimp playing a darsy type sounds like it could work Yeah
[00:21:39] The ret it sounds like this is trying to like shoehorn a pride and prejudice at some sort of horse horse event Um, which it says nothing to do with horses. It's like a fan event. No, it's a fan event
[00:21:50] It's like a comic con but for jane austin the way I understand breeches is their riding pants Am I I think he wears those he wears the breeches. He wears the breeches. Okay Into the breeches. He says yes, I'm gonna do something
[00:22:05] I can't believe i'm doing this, but I just feel like the austin movies are going to get worse not better Wow I'm gonna go one quill for will kimp and i'm gonna go with a cream. Yeah, you are look at you
[00:22:16] I got a used to and that's tough for me. So i'm just gonna go in get one of those It's not really good use of cream. I just you know, I don't want to sit on them over here
[00:22:24] Is it too late for me to cream? Nope. It is too late. You gotta keep them in the shack Yeah, you said no and then you said yes, I'm confused. Let's take a quick break. We'll be right back here on That the hallmark the hallmark can't breeches dubious
[00:22:42] Welcome back friends family fellow classmates Um, it is love you airy with jane austin and it's time for another This movie is called love and jane Phew, and it is starring alice and sweeney and bingeman air Get your hands in the airs airs
[00:23:04] Uh, lily is an ad agency account executive whose true passion lies within the pages of any jane austin novel a true jaynet Yes jenet like fans of of of jane I've never heard jane yet, but Emily not chat let us know another thing
[00:23:27] She spins her spare time running a local book club Devoted to the beloved writers work. They just keep cycling over the same six Same six that's all she wrote lily longs for the simpler more civilized life
[00:23:42] depicted in her favorite novels when tiktok was just the sound a clock makes Little does she know that her life is about to become a bit less ordinary when jane austin played by kindra anderson Herself appears in her living room out of nowhere
[00:24:06] At first taking a back and not believing it with her own eyes lilies soon comes to accept that her favorite Uh has inexplicably entered her world offering her kind of sage advice
[00:24:21] In life in love as only jane austin can fitting in and out at home and at lilies office jane helps through a period after every word And out Fitting in and out at home. No and at fitting in and out at home
[00:24:43] And at lilies office. No. No, I don't like that very much Jane helps her navigate the challenges in her life including how to find inspiration for a winning campaign For her favorite bookstore, which has just been purchased by trevor played by binge airs a tech
[00:25:02] Billion air oh good A billionaire in there billionaire airs After their first meeting made a bad impression on lilies. She finds herself running into him in unexpected places
[00:25:15] And soon it's clear that there's attraction between them not only does lilies start to give in and romantic sparks that growing Not only does lilies start to give in to the romantic spark that's growing her creative spark too many sparks
[00:25:34] Sparks worth his money landing her to leading her to her Deserving author. No, I don't think they could afford the rights to niggas But when trevor But when trevor this is so long but when trevor makes a grand gesture and it backfires more sparks
[00:25:53] Uh, their love story may not get its happy ending ellipses They'll go on a walk to remember Ha Kim Murphy shout out. Oh, thank you about Kim Murphy lover Uh, bryan. Yeah, I feel like if any Movie deserving of a cream it's this one
[00:26:14] So I will cream love and jane first of all right out the gate Good to know buddy bookstore billionaire Book club jane austin kindalli Ghost I said a ghost is it just a memory? Is she like they gonna pretend?
[00:26:29] She's really there or she a real person channel. I don't know how they're gonna do it It's gonna be you've got full faith and confidence in them. Uh, yeah, hopefully cook was in this thing I would throw this thing as far as I could throw it
[00:26:40] Trust it as far as I can throw it. Oh throw this thing as far as I can throw it. Yep Toss it and matt damon he played will he will hunting that's what we figured out so title
[00:26:51] I don't know if I will go. I yeah, I'll go four quills and a cream on this bad boy Good gosh. I have a little faith in no 100 percent. I'm picking up exactly what you're putting down I think this is the movie to beat
[00:27:04] Especially out of the gate here Um, I'm gonna go five quills and a cream. Look at you Well, you guys can have them. It's a big zero for me Explain yourself zero One vingiers one one it is no secret. I'm not the biggest else in sweeney fan
[00:27:23] You need to know that up front. I've never like I've never liked a single one of her movies I'm sure she's very talented, but her movies just typically don't work for me That's one two. You've got what I can only assume and if I'm wrong
[00:27:35] I'll be the first to tell you I'm wrong right into this camera right here You've got what I assume is probably some Canadian actor playing jane austin terrifying Just terrifying to think about in general that's number two. This has disaster written all over it's just
[00:27:52] 00 for me. Sorry Ben Ayers is a part of it 00 Anderson is from Canada. Oh, would you look at that? She's she's done she's in the Hannah Swensen's universe Great. So for those for those out at home stand by it. Well Um up next is a uh
[00:28:18] Yes, up next is another movies and mysteries. This is a boy. I'm excited about this one It's called a crime time colon free fall crime time crime time. It's a crime time star like that title lindy greenwood and Luke McFarland um Hadley warner
[00:28:40] An experienced crime series actress comes to a crossroad in life and her career When her television show is cancelled Unsure of her next step in life. She decides to move her family into a small mountain town of mystic Colorado and leaves her Los angeles lifestyle behind
[00:29:01] To her surprise she has propelled back into her quote unquote old life when a body seemingly falls from the sky Into her backyard Hadley unexpectedly decides that her many years of character study and experience playing an on-screen crime investigator She should help detective Sean Caden solve the case
[00:29:24] Sean however Isn't initially a fan of her work or her help But he soon realizes that Hadley is a fountain of knowledge and can uh act her way in and out of any situation
[00:29:36] With so much charm that he starts to fall for this has a little bit of grinder feel to it. Yeah, you're right Yeah I'm gonna go ahead. This is yeah the the downside of this movie is is it has that old school mystery feel of
[00:29:52] Cop plus other profession that shouldn't be there and I don't like that Yeah, however, lindy greenwood big fan of her and sleepy hollow, especially the first season Uh, luke mcfarland. We like luke around here the idea of this reminds me of the grinder
[00:30:05] That is enough for me to go right down the middle two and a half quills and my second cream Wow Almost right down the middle down the middle two and a half that I go I went too far ahead
[00:30:16] Aaron that's what i'm finding out in this in this order of movies I apologize. Yeah, I just have them listed chronologically. I apologize. Yes. They should have gone back. Um Anyway too late Brian, I think it breaks up the austin nicely. No, I believe yeah, I think so
[00:30:33] Yeah, this so this is the last movie the mystery right of the monsters. We get seven. Yes This is four and a cream for me. Uh, very excited about it. Sounds fun going to small town, colorado um
[00:30:46] The act where it really turned the corner where you said she gets to use her acting chops Like that feels legit like that feels like a real thing that could happen in real life an actor actually having something to contribute
[00:30:56] In this scenario. So yeah, I think uh, it should be good stuff here It's five quills and a cream for brand. Uh, very excited about this one Yes I uh, and i'm excited to see what uh type of character loot creates in this one
[00:31:11] I think he could do like a you know now that he's allowed to do that on the Now he's allowed a lot to play a little bit more. I mean, I'm excited to see what happens Three movies left were out of creams. Yeah
[00:31:20] Uh, do you have all the all the oysters are empty? They're all gone. Yeah, all of us have got what you look at that You know, let's head back to saturday february 17th for an american in austin Spelt like jane austin. Yeah
[00:31:35] Uh, don't worry though short shorts and obfuses here and i'm not being facetious Harriet who thinks that no real man You know For ceaseless right now It's right Harriet Are you ready can I finish Harriet i think you're gonna try to spell it again
[00:31:59] Harriet who thinks that no real man compares to mr. Darcy Is transported into pride and prejudice and gets an unexpected chance to find out Are we in awesome? Or is it starring? Uh, oh, i'm sorry. Eliza Bennett and nicolas bishop It's starring Eliza Bennett. Yeah
[00:32:23] So where it says american in austin we don't have it's not a location. It doesn't matter like they're in It is an american in jane austin right? She's transported into the world pride and prejudice. Yes, it's exactly right right yeah, uh
[00:32:39] Taking two quills taking a third breaking the third two and a half quills right down the middle nicely done She's shy Yeah, this seems a little bit more fun to me than the jane austin shows up bit
[00:32:53] But not by much give me a half a quill half a quill here. Oh, you know, I just realized This might be a fish out of water thing
[00:33:01] That's what I was about to say this could be a this could be a what are you doing in my house situation? Let's see how they play it up. I'm gonna go three quills right down the middle
[00:33:12] Let's take a quick break. We'll come back. We got two more movies left everybody here on wait Wait before we do that is brian changing his answer. Yeah, he's I wasn't allowed to add a cream No Deck the home cream back in the holster
[00:33:28] Yeah, we told brand no earlier Cream q versus a quill you already broke that quill You're right The other half is just sitting right there. Welcome back everybody two more movies to preview
[00:33:41] Both on hallmark channel one of them. I think is a random add-on not really jane austin related Austin month has four austin movies out of seven movies airing correct. That's why so this is a monday february 19th
[00:33:56] Premier's president's day. I was wondering if they were gonna do it Franklin and jane austin This is a taste of love What this is uh He was like 65 when she was born Stop it Stop it Stop it. See it. Um a taste of love jaynor hamilton and jerry's
[00:34:18] Will they This is starring jesse cove and erin kayhill Cool a pigeon hold A pigeon hold chef Determined to make her name as a respected culinary chef returns to her hometown While reconnecting with her childhood sweetheart
[00:34:41] She receives an offer she can't refuse. What's that offer? I can't tell you. Oh, she can't refuse it I know nothing. I will give it nothing Cero Thank you
[00:34:57] I think we're not gonna get as much cooking as I would like to see in this. Yeah only 83 minutes in the movie So i'll go another two and a half quills
[00:35:05] Just giving them away just hand out quills like you just like you'll be cooking you got a quill tree in the backyard Just out here. Just it's where they grow. Yeah, that's a sure deal train I mean, I was saying if I got like a longer synopsis anyway
[00:35:20] That's what I was wondering Struggling to find her culinary voice as a network tv star taylor returns to her hometown to visit her parents She must choose between her renewed relationship saving her family restaurant or her dream career as a worldwide chef
[00:35:35] So a little bit added something not really. Uh, i'll do two Both of those quills are for erin kayhill. Yeah, she's wonderful Um But you know an added movie's president's day is i'm um 99 percent sure this is an acquired flick
[00:35:50] Um, yeah, it's made by digital caviar was filmed in florida. So Just a little digital caviar digital caviar. Wow digital caviar. Good stuff last but not least Sense and sensibility That's the title of the movie tackling the novel in 83 minutes Uh, that's exactly right. It is starring debora
[00:36:13] I Iorne Bethany Antonia and dan genete genelot To get it wrong. I get a period adaptation of jane austin's sense and sensibility After a change in circumstances, marianna is torn between two men While elinor longs for a man beyond reach Tail is old as time
[00:36:42] You last erin so glad I use my You know what helps is you lost interest mid to Seeing the titles. I don't know if it's fair or not, but it helps Um categorize a little bit with the cream thing
[00:36:56] Yeah, like knowing what's coming up here. Yeah, we got I really debated doing that, but it was just too complicated to try to That helped me give a cream to page of mr. Garcy
[00:37:06] Yeah, I might have say I tend to save one for the end and I'm glad I didn't Oh no this movie sounds like boring and then they try to do way too much on the cream as long as possible
[00:37:15] Yeah, yeah, wait. Yeah, yeah, wait as long as you can anyway. Um, it's just wrestling with that What so I'm just gonna do as long as you can You don't want to cream too early It's right
[00:37:29] So struggle it's an internal struggles. It is uh, says this is really I'll go through quills on this No cream I I have no choice but to say zero if you take a beloved novel and say we're gonna give it the old 83 minute Hallmark treatment
[00:37:50] I have no choice but to say it's going to be terrible and I I hope that i'm wrong But I fear that I'm right and that's where we stand Um, I'm doing a pure judgment play based fully on this picture
[00:38:03] I'm seeing of people in old timey clothes and I'm giving it zero Oh boy I Guys, I just I don't do this I don't do this this whole thing. We'll get up. Not for you nothing for me I was feeling really good because it was like um
[00:38:22] It was like Paging mr. Darcy is in present day, but he's just playing a character She like uh love and jane jane austin's coming to her so like I can do with that
[00:38:35] Um an american and austin i'm nervous about because she does go back, but there's like at least some sort of She's at least a present day person and like can add some fish out of water as you said
[00:38:47] This is just pure straight up. Yeah time period that I don't give a rip about And so uh for that reason zero and I'm sorry I mean everybody can get mad at me. It's just not my deal. That's gotta be the book. I read obviously
[00:38:58] I haven't read sense sensibility. It's the last movie the snowman. It's snowman. I hope I don't read the wrong Classic boy, so I gotta read that one right? Yeah the over under on this movie is is it better than sense sensibility in snowman
[00:39:08] Right. Hey, that's a great. Should we do a pairing or watch? Yeah, don't yeah Nope People are trying to get us to watch more jane austin erin and the office like actual there's You know actual adaptations with What do you think odds are
[00:39:25] That of me of us just sitting down I said, I don't know if I can pull off an office life viewing I thought it said we'll do it office while I just know that the collin furth
[00:39:41] Pride and prejudice is better than the matthew mcfade and pride and prejudice. I'm just kidding. I don't know I've seen both. I've only seen the movie award him. I've not seen it was a joke Everybody
[00:39:52] Calm down my hot take is I think the matthew mcfade version is better than the overrated I also will tell you that joe right who directed that version. That's his worst movie There's my hot take of the day and I have seen it
[00:40:04] Uh, I don't mind the movie but I like atonement and I like uh some of his other movies. Uh, I just Yeah, so it wasn't made for me. Yeah, Matthew is my favorite mr. Dorsy really At column collin furth is typically the answer you hear all the time
[00:40:20] And I appreciate that version, but I think I just Man, there's an argument brewing in the chat, which I love I've never seen comments go so fast Yeah, everybody really has boss. I've never seen the collin furth miniseries ever ever but
[00:40:33] I own it on physical media if you'd ever like to Collin furth is an immeasurably better actor than Matthew mcfade and I I love Matthew mcfade from succession But I only see him as the character from succession. So it's hard for me to
[00:40:46] See him as mr. I mean, I think as an accurate standpoint that collin furth is better, but the guy that ends up with everything Sorry, sorry double-decker. It's the wife
