[00:00:03] Hi, I'm Bram and I love Hallmark

[00:00:08] passport movies

[00:00:10] Hi

[00:00:13] Brian I

[00:00:14] Like Hallmark passport movies. I'm Dan and I despise Hallmark passport movies

[00:00:21] And this is the deck

[00:00:33] Hi everybody it is great to be here today

[00:00:50] Now I know guys it is only been a few days since we saw each other we had a whole week last

[00:00:56] Feels like it's been longer

[00:00:59] Doing great doing great

[00:01:02] You got a little Sun do I cuz I was actually face this morning rush

[00:01:06] I walked into the bathroom and I'm like, I can't wait to show everybody

[00:01:12] How nice and tan I am I went to the beach

[00:01:17] Was out by the Sun and I looked at the mirror and I'm like I look whiter than you don't ever look like you've gotten

[00:01:23] Son, I don't I honestly don't ever think you look like you've gotten son no matter how much you've been out there

[00:01:28] You spend a lot of time in the Sun. I mean, I'm out. I was outside a good bit

[00:01:32] Yeah, I mean I was at the beach

[00:01:34] Radio man. Yeah

[00:01:36] Some don't even know

[00:01:39] So I don't even know what hit him

[00:01:43] Aaron how you doing?

[00:01:45] Womp-womp we are

[00:01:54] The Aaron cam is working but Aaron is not

[00:01:57] She is on

[00:02:00] We'll see

[00:02:03] Guys can I ask you a quick question? Yeah, if you were having a bad day say your boss

[00:02:10] Yeah, maybe you know

[00:02:13] Over the edge a little bit would you call it like I handle it Dan, how would you handle that?

[00:02:18] I I would my first inclination we would be to call him call something. Absolutely like a name on the board

[00:02:24] What would you call him? I don't I can't anything I can say it

[00:02:29] But I think I probably just call it a day yeah, it's what I would call it a day

[00:02:33] Yeah, I just say you know what it's Tuesday afternoon. It's Tuesday morning. Yeah

[00:02:38] Head down a local watering hole. Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do bigger man. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Are you gonna come back?

[00:02:44] I'm confused. I have a few drinks. I think calm down

[00:02:49] You wouldn't drive would you no no cab this cab situation. Yeah, like a jump in it hop in it

[00:02:55] Well all the way there. I just get in the cab. I'm calling

[00:03:00] Again saying that I'm calling it a day to me implies you're done, but I'm leaving my car there just in case

[00:03:08] Yeah, okay. I

[00:03:10] Go down. Maybe I drive down to the bar. I think you might drive down bar

[00:03:14] You might not all of a sudden

[00:03:18] You know, maybe you've had one too many morning morning beverage

[00:03:21] Afternoon noon Tuesday noon beverages. Maybe you've had one too many and then you're like, you know what? I just left work

[00:03:28] I just bailed from work completely. Well, you did say you're calling it you said I'm

[00:03:33] PTO request. Oh, and you do you want to follow the rules?

[00:03:37] Yeah, so now it's like if I show back up for work people think I just took a long lunch

[00:03:41] You know, I just read an article salvage this thing. Yeah, I just read an article about how

[00:03:46] Gen-xers. Yeah aren't taking PTO instead because of hybrid they're working from home and that's right moving their mouse around

[00:03:54] Yeah, yeah, so that their slack smart available smart

[00:03:59] Shady who can say yeah, who can say anyway? Yeah

[00:04:07] Hypothetically you've had something told strong hypothetically you've had some tall and strong maybe you've poured a couple back it gets around to two o'clock

[00:04:17] Lunch break at one I realized in an hour. I've hammered for

[00:04:23] So you're still doing and I'm still doing math and I go, you know if I paid off the bill right now I

[00:04:31] Could get in a cab stumble out to a cab somewhere pour into it and get back to my job as an air traffic controller

[00:04:38] Very important. I hope I could be back before two and and and how far away is the bar you?

[00:04:47] Pay off the tab. Okay tab, you know

[00:04:52] Just looks like a long lunch at 12 to 2 lunch, but they're meeting with a client

[00:04:57] Yeah, so you have a decision to make right then and there

[00:05:01] It's either

[00:05:02] Either you've got a good so long lunch and I've had a few I'm gonna go back to work. Just just hammered

[00:05:11] Or I could ask one very simple question, what is it? What would Jimmy Buffett do it's a good question

[00:05:17] What would he do in this situation?

[00:05:20] The guy from Margaritaville in this state of mind is only two options. Yeah

[00:05:26] I think he'd say keep going

[00:05:29] Why

[00:05:34] I get it. Today we're talking about love and honey the first of the passports

[00:05:43] To love whatever this month is passport season

[00:05:47] passport

[00:05:49] Passport to love I think it is and that's we're gonna spend the month out at sea and other lands as well and

[00:05:57] See what the world has to offer today. We're heading to Malta sure now, you know about Popeye have you heard?

[00:06:04] Now Brian Ryan got more information than you ever wanted to hear in your PowerPoint

[00:06:08] I am so excited at the time. I'm so excited to hear your thoughts on this

[00:06:15] I'm so excited to hear your thoughts on this

[00:06:18] But before we do if you missed love and honey, I had a number to file a file out TV slash DTH this movie

[00:06:24] It's on demand you can snag it and then you can watch

[00:06:26] Watch us talk about the movie and so much more this week over on a phylo

[00:06:31] For my bang for my buck and here you want to know what file is doing, which is crazy

[00:06:34] Yeah, I just saw this news come across the wire

[00:06:37] Maybe you're you've been like I keep hearing you talk about phylo. Is it really that good?

[00:06:41] they're rolling out a

[00:06:43] free version of phylo where they have 70 channels that you can watch and

[00:06:49] With that comes its own DVR what for free now this doesn't include like Hallmark or any of the

[00:06:56] Channels like that, but it's free

[00:06:58] So maybe you just kind of want to check out like I wonder what the the user interface is of phylo or whatever

[00:07:03] Like is it a good experience? I say it's a great experience

[00:07:05] But if you want to give it a shot you can do that

[00:07:08] So lots going on over at finally make the free. We're not no

[00:07:13] We're premium. Sorry folks. Yeah, I combed that press release over

[00:07:19] I'm ready to rock and roll. Love nice though. Love and honey. Love and honey. What is it? When did it air?

[00:07:27] Two great questions. What would Jimmy Buffett do what that's question is this month it aired

[00:07:33] I'm not gonna look at the calendar it aired on June

[00:07:38] The first where she wrote first, yeah, right June the first year in the first passport month passport

[00:07:44] And it went a little something like a little something like

[00:07:48] this

[00:07:49] What's happening?

[00:07:51] Pretty psyched about

[00:07:54] So this woman is on her moped her scoot scooting around just riding around looking awesome

[00:08:00] She had a green jacket on and if somebody could point me in the direction of that green jacket

[00:08:05] Yeah, boy would be much inclined to buy it

[00:08:09] cut to Austin

[00:08:12] Cut to Austin not Jane

[00:08:15] Austin but not Austin, Texas a fella named Austin who's given a lecture at some school

[00:08:22] he's a he's a doctor a doctor of archaeology if you will don't come to him with your

[00:08:28] flesh wounds unless it's a bone

[00:08:32] Because you know like you they uncover some archaeology

[00:08:37] Archaeology

[00:08:39] Uncover some archaeology, that's what's buried we find out that he is

[00:08:44] On top of the ground he is in Malta. He is trying to get

[00:08:50] he's trying to get a lot of stuff because he has to

[00:08:54] basically

[00:08:55] Basically for my money, and you guys can correct me if I'm wrong

[00:08:59] He's in Malta and he's trying to come up with something

[00:09:04] That he could do that. He could do research on for a for his

[00:09:10] job

[00:09:12] It's all about that sweet sweet tent as we call it

[00:09:25] So he's walking around and

[00:09:28] Almost gets hit by a scooter lady

[00:09:31] Scooter lady swerves out of the way she crashes and a pretty cool crash. I might say

[00:09:43] No one no one writes synopses like I do

[00:09:47] Her name is Ava and

[00:09:49] Her stud double crushed it they squabble a bit they go on their own way

[00:09:54] We find out that she is a beekeeper. She's very concerned about the future of bees why Brian?

[00:10:01] This is important. They are our future. Why what can wasp do they can buzz off?

[00:10:05] They can buzz absolutely all the way I slow death was yeah, yeah

[00:10:11] But yeah, the bees are pretty serious and if people keep squash squashing the bees we're not gonna have anything for anybody that's right

[00:10:18] That's

[00:10:20] That's my basic

[00:10:22] That's exactly right, that's right

[00:10:24] That's exactly and actually saving the bees is a save the cheerleader save the world situation

[00:10:28] But it really would save the world from that one thing this actually makes save the cheerleaders save the world make sense. Yeah, honestly

[00:10:35] Yeah, you're right. It's pretty. It's pretty amazing some might say

[00:10:42] Unbelievable

[00:10:44] Amazing

[00:10:49] Man

[00:10:51] Okay, any any whom?

[00:10:54] She's a beekeeper she's a beekeeper and she's very concerned about the future of bees so one day she comes to where Austin is working

[00:11:01] He's like got papers everywhere like where's this and where's that he's kind of like Nick Cage in National Treasure, but like

[00:11:09] Way less exciting

[00:11:11] Because I don't really know what he's what he's looking. He's just looking at stuff me like man. That's crazy and

[00:11:17] so

[00:11:19] He's swatting away at this be he's swatting away at this beat guys. This is fun

[00:11:23] Let me get through kill me save it for later when we could really save it for later

[00:11:27] So we can really look at it. It's funny. It's save it. It's funny so

[00:11:32] He's swatting bees away, and she's like don't you freaking dare do that don't don't swap bees

[00:11:37] She captures to be brings it outside releases it so she can see what that's outside, so can't you outside how about

[00:11:44] How about how does that?

[00:11:47] and the bees are right freaking there, and he's like he sees where the

[00:11:52] More like in pure sight like very obvious

[00:11:59] Clear sight so

[00:12:05] So this hive is on a wall and

[00:12:09] Our guy Austin is real into this wall. He's like oh my gosh. This wall is amazing and

[00:12:16] The next day she's there doing more bee stuff

[00:12:20] and she's like scraping for some reason and she accidentally scrapes a little too hard because she's startled by Austin and

[00:12:26] Austin sees that behind it

[00:12:29] with a plaster and whatnot is a paint and

[00:12:33] he gets more excited than Brian does when he looks at a picture of Popeye and

[00:12:38] Just super pumped about this so

[00:12:41] Scrapes it all off wife see wipes you go daisies and the painting

[00:12:46] best I can figure is

[00:12:48] It's a mystery in on itself, and it's also in a sense a map that'll help him find

[00:12:56] What he needs to for his research for tenure yeah for tenure for tenure for tenure tenure

[00:13:03] She agrees to help him with this since she knows the area and maybe that all in all of this

[00:13:09] Bees will be saved too. I think that's pretty big

[00:13:13] So they're hanging out a ton one night. They go for a stroll they end up

[00:13:20] Kissing oh my gosh, what about it? Well? I'll tell you what about it

[00:13:24] She's not so sure that that was a good idea and so she tries to just be like nothing no nothing happens nothing bakes

[00:13:31] So they're going all these places are doing all these things eventually somehow

[00:13:35] And I'm sure Brian will get into it

[00:13:37] But they end up at a pile of rocks and these rocks are dope and we love them

[00:13:42] We we then take the rocks away. They climb down and down there is a

[00:13:49] box

[00:13:50] What is in that box nothing and what this proves is that?

[00:13:55] the people from Michigan

[00:13:58] Brought that brought the bees over from Michigan those are Michigan bees

[00:14:04] To be all the Malta bees to Michigan

[00:14:08] Go to the Great Lakes grab and take him to Malta. I thought that they did though

[00:14:12] No, I thought that the empty box proved that they brought him over and released

[00:14:19] Anyway you slice it or dice it

[00:14:21] There's bees in Malta

[00:14:24] And she's like related to the bees in a sense if you trace it further enough the three main trees

[00:14:30] She's related to three three bees three wise bees

[00:14:34] It's like you guys know the Christmas story. It's like that but with bees

[00:14:39] So it's like that so they they hop out of the rocks and they're like this is amazing

[00:14:45] He's like guess what I gotta go, and she's like no problem

[00:14:48] Nope, no no sweat off my brow pal, and he's like I got a tenure

[00:14:52] You know what I mean. I gotta go 1010 yeah, so he does go to 1010 flash-forward one one month

[00:14:58] And he's back. He's wearing bee hats

[00:15:02] Not be suit, but be hat he's calm and I'm like behave

[00:15:08] and so

[00:15:10] He's like guess what everybody. I'm on now sabbatical

[00:15:14] Sabbatical called and it's wanting me to

[00:15:17] Subscribe here, I'm gonna stab right here right now, and so they celebrate by kissing and I think she saves the bees

[00:15:25] It's pretty sure about that and now my friends was

[00:15:31] For love and honey right yeah for king and country for love and honey, let's take a quick break. We'll be right back here on

[00:15:37] Oh

[00:15:43] My goodness

[00:15:49] Wow welcome back we're talking for love and honey

[00:15:53] Yeah, the first of the passport series so stamp it if you watched it stamp it

[00:15:58] If you don't stamp it Hallmark you missed the boat here, bro for not putting it sitting out like

[00:16:06] Passports for everybody news get a stamp for each movie you watch

[00:16:18] See one check for marketers, so we've got four segments here on the Hallmark

[00:16:23] And we're gonna start with the very first one the first one is called

[00:16:27] The hot

[00:16:29] Share exactly how he felt about this movie

[00:16:31] We do not hold back and I'm gonna start with my good friend Brian Brian. What did you think of?

[00:16:35] For love and honey for love and honey here. We go well no no Popeyes village so strike one strike one

[00:16:41] I mean a big strike one to huge strike one

[00:16:44] I thought we'd just all those sweeping shots like not a gun not a glimpse so disappointing

[00:16:50] Um I think I'm starting to think there's a reason now a rhyme and reason

[00:16:56] Why Andrew sometimes uses of the W and doesn't in his name this one did not have the W

[00:17:02] Oh, so you think if you go back and look at his movies in

[00:17:05] W. I feel like

[00:17:11] You don't think he stamps, I don't think he stamped this one

[00:17:14] I think the passport stay

[00:17:15] I don't think we took a W on this one you think he went all the way to Malta to not stand

[00:17:20] I think you took went all the way to Malta to go to Malta

[00:17:22] I think he went to Malta, and that's where it stops. He actually I think he was trying to do something

[00:17:28] He had the beer we said this one. We were watching trying to do something look he's playing with the glasses

[00:17:33] He's doing this whole thing. He's putting them in his shirt. It's got a bit of a he's a character

[00:17:37] Yeah, you know he's being a little stiff

[00:17:40] He's getting really excited about the plaster and the fresco

[00:17:44] He did squeeze in a little shirt off situation

[00:17:47] We'll tank top a little too ripped for an academic. I would say dude are you kidding me right now rip for an academic?

[00:17:53] Yeah out there lifting like I know he's out there in the field lifting rocks

[00:17:57] And yeah rocks in the field all the time, but yeah come on come on Andrew

[00:18:01] He was yoked man still didn't it it helped the movie. I would say so it was a little too boring for me

[00:18:09] Which is I mean like you say it's it's like the Queen Bee of sins in these movies is to be boring and so

[00:18:16] I say that all the time is the Queen yeah, yeah, so

[00:18:23] Oh

[00:18:26] Queen B. How's it going?

[00:18:28] I heard beforehand, and I just we get a little press

[00:18:34] We get an email about things. We should can and can't ask you yeah

[00:18:38] That I'm supposed to don't you do it. No I wouldn't I'm supposed to call you by a certain

[00:18:44] They like a certain like it's not her royalty her. What is it? I'm supposed to call you

[00:18:50] Asking me yes, you know people call you all the time

[00:18:54] Beyonce

[00:18:56] Beyonce yeah

[00:19:00] So

[00:19:01] See Beyonce the fans of Beyonce call her Queen B. So since I'm the Queen B. I make them call me Beyonce

[00:19:07] It's a switch Maduro voices getting

[00:19:12] Lost the plot

[00:19:14] The Queen B. Can't talk too much gotta be

[00:19:18] Yep be last blast

[00:19:29] So that's where I landed on this

[00:19:33] Fair enough first of all let's you said it Brian Andrew Walker a national treasure and

[00:19:42] It looks great looks great with the glasses on looks great with the glasses off

[00:19:47] With the shirt off you know what's coming next I

[00:19:51] Buy buy by golly this movie was not hard to look at thanks to thanks to thanks to that guy

[00:19:59] It was hard to pay attention to though

[00:20:02] boy, I just

[00:20:05] There's a few I think by now know a lot about me. I think and it's not much of a secret that I don't really like

[00:20:14] Learning

[00:20:16] That's not what I'm here for and boy you

[00:20:19] learned so much in this movie this movie was part movie part documentary about bees and

[00:20:28] Fresco's fresh fresco fresco yeah

[00:20:31] different than

[00:20:32] Fresca as different which is if you were bringing talking about frescoes

[00:20:36] I'd be interested and so rather hear the history of fresco than fresco. Are you kidding me?

[00:20:42] Is it a soda is it juice frickin? I don't know

[00:20:47] So this movie was a bit too

[00:20:50] educational for my liking

[00:20:52] But there's some things that are still you know that I I thought that the two leaves were

[00:20:57] I liked him with her. I don't know who she is, but I liked her and

[00:21:02] kisses were solid and

[00:21:05] The muscles were there and so overall

[00:21:08] Okay, but too smart too smart for I couldn't I couldn't keep up couldn't keep up with all this

[00:21:15] And this is that's the reason why I do this and not that

[00:21:19] This is the reason

[00:21:21] That's the reason both of these guys who are here to tell you they liked a movie both said Andrew Walker looks great the movie

[00:21:27] Sucks, I don't know what else I can tell you this is

[00:21:30] Just unfortunate it seems as though. It's a waste of Malta. It's definitely a waste of Andrew Walker's time

[00:21:37] Movie is boring and I kind of weirdly blame us a little bit

[00:21:43] Not just the entity deck to Hallmark, but I think

[00:21:47] New Hallmark plus a lot of podcasts where people pick apart these movies have led Hallmark to trying to write

[00:21:55] smarter movies movies that

[00:21:57] Yeah, have this still 83 4 minutes long something like that

[00:22:01] And it still has all the beats of a Hallmark movie

[00:22:04] But they double back to cover their bases on all the facts and everything and what happens is is you get a movie that is

[00:22:10] just so

[00:22:12] Incredibly boring because it is loaded to the gills with fun facts plots and reasons

[00:22:17] They're doing the thing that they're doing like this movie

[00:22:21] If you took out all the scenes where they explained what they were doing explain why they were doing it

[00:22:25] You would have 30 minutes left

[00:22:28] We hate it show Popeye's Village

[00:22:31] Village but we hate

[00:22:33] This first, but he's 100% right the we found this old trinkets or old thing

[00:22:39] And now we have to find the mystery behind the thing

[00:22:42] Hallmark does that so poorly? This is that movie plus beekeeping. That's what this is and

[00:22:49] it's atrocious and

[00:22:51] Andrew Walker as an academic

[00:22:54] Dude is the best in the game at being the Hallmark every man. No one is better

[00:23:00] I've said it on the podcast before

[00:23:01] Tyler Hines is not as good as Andrew Walker at being the everyman of Hallmark the the dude who looks great

[00:23:08] Perfectly symmetrical has a great smile

[00:23:11] Can have chemistry with any leading lady?

[00:23:14] You don't need to make this guy a history professor in Malta. It doesn't make any sense

[00:23:19] I just it was it was too smart for its own good and it was boring so boring so hard to pay attention

[00:23:27] Yeah, it's a bottom five for me. It's really a bad bottom five. Yeah sure yep. I am

[00:23:34] Okay, it's time for all the fields is where we share exactly the field

[00:23:40] I think we all got it right. Yeah, I do want to hear Brian's thoughts on that

[00:23:46] I know I know Malta is near and dear to your heart for again reasons

[00:23:50] I can't understand or want to try to sure but did you get any I in you complained a bit about yeah

[00:23:57] Bye, yeah the lack of lack of Popeye's Village. Yeah, did you get any feels from Malta in this or any other feels?

[00:24:03] You know I got feels from I liked her car a lot that old

[00:24:07] I don't know if that was like an old like a Zuzu tracker or like a really early model Jeep

[00:24:12] Wrangler CJ no is Zuzu

[00:24:21] All made a tracker, and it could have they were like the same car so just look like a little roller skate

[00:24:26] Yeah, so fun

[00:24:29] And also so that was fun to watch the other thing I love is

[00:24:33] Teaching somebody who doesn't know the language a phrase. That's wrong

[00:24:37] Usually almost always works for me. I got a kick out of that when he said I smell like fish a couple times

[00:24:43] That's pretty funny

[00:24:47] Listen whoever's idea was to have Andrew Walker move rocks and a tank top like you get a raise like

[00:24:55] a marvel to behold

[00:24:57] It was wonderful

[00:24:59] It was captivating more of that less of the fresca

[00:25:03] And I think we would have had ourselves a real good time a real good time the fact that that guy is

[00:25:09] I think he's getting older

[00:25:13] For the rest of us, but he looks like he's in better shape somehow which

[00:25:21] All those guys that are like hey like take care your body is like they're onto something no

[00:25:26] It doesn't track for me. I think that's definitely more

[00:25:31] Like they're talking over you

[00:25:35] Is like we've talked to some actors on this show who not only are big into health

[00:25:40] But they like push it on you a lot mm-hmm Andrew Walker is the opposite of that

[00:25:44] He has all of these things he's doing for his body

[00:25:47] But then he'll go we went out to eat during Bramble fest and he'll go out to eat

[00:25:51] He'll be like what do you got there Dan? Oh my goodness?

[00:25:53] That steak looks amazing. He's like not the dude who makes you feel bad

[00:25:58] He's the guy that's just thrilled for you regardless

[00:26:01] That's how nice of a guy is but you know he's got all kinds of like

[00:26:04] I'm not gonna eat after sundown or I'm not gonna blah blah blah like he's got a thousand of those

[00:26:09] You know he does he'll do an espresso martini though. Yeah, yeah, he's down down a clown. He is down the clown

[00:26:15] Let's take a quick break. We'll take a quick break. We'll come back with the way what and what the hallmarks here on

[00:26:32] We're back Aaron, how's it going?

[00:26:38] Early lunch is a cool chair. Yeah, she did take an early lunch. She took an early

[00:26:43] Kind of means her earlier, and so I think she was about to call me a name and instead she decided

[00:26:50] We're talking love and honey for those of you that are joining us halfway through somehow welcome

[00:26:54] It's great to see you. I saluted you so you know I care

[00:26:58] It's uh

[00:26:59] This is what phyla is worth right here

[00:27:03] Right it's not for the way water is where we share what in this movie made us go wait what?

[00:27:09] And aside from the lack of Popeye's village

[00:27:13] Brian make you go wait what yeah the when she first walks into library where Andrew he's working at the table

[00:27:20] She knocks an ancient book off the table that book did sold this whole movie

[00:27:26] With disrespect to ancient or yeah air quotes ancient

[00:27:33] Stuff the whole movie. Yeah, just but that one's real bad. That was just ridiculous

[00:27:37] It had to be and you can't do that before tenor a tenure before ten

[00:27:46] But you're right and that

[00:27:47] The I laughed out loud with the look at this ancient pottery just on the ground and just the amount of scraping

[00:27:54] That's done the services that he picks up what if you've not seen the film

[00:28:01] He picks up what I can only describe as the handle to a coffee mug you would buy in a gift shop

[00:28:07] I don't know how like it isn't ancient it isn't pottery

[00:28:11] It is a handle to a coffee mug that you would have in your house right now

[00:28:16] And he looks at it with his bare hands on and he goes it's ancient pottery

[00:28:21] Bro, it's neither of those two so funny is just crazy so funny and just yeah always picking something up and just scraping at it

[00:28:30] Yeah, real hard. No dusting

[00:28:32] Using the hands she scrapes to her on that wall

[00:28:35] There's a painting and they're like let's get our bare hand scrapers out go to town

[00:28:39] That's right bad boy. Just oils from your fingers

[00:28:43] Man, it was great

[00:28:45] the mayor just putting her in charge of

[00:28:48] The archaeologists just like yeah, just hey

[00:28:52] And just yeah, I don't it just didn't make any sense

[00:28:55] And there was no other reason for it except for him. Just saying I don't know you so you babysit him

[00:29:01] the box in this picture is

[00:29:05] So obvious that it's a hive that it's a beehive

[00:29:09] Like he's looking it's got the little hole in the top. It's got everything that a bee box beehive has box

[00:29:14] Yeah, bee box, there we go and I'll be box yeah be box so it's just sort of like I wish they

[00:29:22] She even said like you know what that kind of looks like like I just any type of recognition would have been great

[00:29:28] And just the line

[00:29:30] This was just so great. I wasted so much time with you when I said gosh

[00:29:35] I couldn't believe I can't believe a lead has ever said that in a Hallmark movie

[00:29:40] It was like it was like we need to

[00:29:43] Immediately cause the problem like you have run out of time and so it's like he might as well

[00:29:48] Just didn't he double down on it too. He did yes

[00:29:50] Yes, I guess so you yeah, that it was going waste of time

[00:29:54] He's like yes, and I'll be like but I'm waiting for him to be like now. I know why your husband left you

[00:30:00] Do you want to run a comb through that hair like go through every line? I couldn't believe it

[00:30:06] It was just so agree again

[00:30:08] Egregious and brutal and it just was like they just needed to do it right then there was no other

[00:30:13] It was just so it was just so funny. I'll do it that way

[00:30:16] And yeah, I just didn't give a care about

[00:30:18] preservation whatsoever

[00:30:21] worst archaeologist ever

[00:30:23] Yeah

[00:30:26] So I've thought about this before because all this happens on a regular basis where somebody in one of these moves will come up behind

[00:30:32] Somebody and say something and they'll get scared and then they'll be like why rip a whole why why well yes that where she

[00:30:40] But then she turns to him and is like why don't you warn me and like what how would you how can you tell someone?

[00:30:47] You're there right in a way that wouldn't startle them because it's not like he went up and went

[00:30:53] Like he just said hey, yeah, and that scared her

[00:30:55] She said why didn't you warn me like what like do you want me to throw sand at you like what is?

[00:31:00] How did she want to be warned that would not scare her cuz again

[00:31:05] He didn't he wasn't dressed up in a Halloween costume. He wasn't out there trying to like

[00:31:11] scary scary house her like just spooker she's scary house or

[00:31:23] This isn't a scary situation, I'm not trying to scare you out you here

[00:31:31] You scare house me

[00:31:33] Trying to that's the thing like I'm just trying to give you a spooker no

[00:31:38] I'm not I'm not scary housing anyone. I'm just here to say hey, man. I want 1010 so I do want to

[00:31:46] Be the podcast 1010 is nuts handing out 1010 to everybody so it's just like I know you're here my scary house

[00:31:54] Your

[00:31:58] Your back is to someone at the line like he could have done way worse you're on a ladder

[00:32:04] He could have gone up there and just been like

[00:32:06] They could have done so many things. He was just like hey, man

[00:32:10] We wasn't trying to scary house you like there's I don't think you could have warned you anymore if he tried

[00:32:16] I'm not trying to scary house you I

[00:32:19] Listen, I don't know

[00:32:22] Anything about cars Dan I were just talking about that's true. I do think the one universal

[00:32:30] Thing that people know about cars is that they need oil changes on a regular basis

[00:32:35] I think that is the one thing battery that even I can be like oh

[00:32:39] I'll be darned. It's oil change time. They friggin put a sticker up there

[00:32:42] So I just say your boy can't forget at the whole time

[00:32:45] I'm staring I still look at that sucker every time so for her to be like

[00:32:48] That's like just a recommendation she's like so emphatic that she doesn't you know change despite never getting one that's where they

[00:32:56] Tell you you don't need an oil change

[00:33:00] When they do the rock thing and they move the rocks out of the way. She's like I got a lantern in the truck

[00:33:05] Why why?

[00:33:10] He had yeah, so when he walks around the corner and he has a flashlight

[00:33:13] I'm like, oh, that's what your lantern means flashlight and where

[00:33:18] She actually had a lantern and it did

[00:33:21] Very little but good thing you have lantern and truck in case, you know, you break down oil change Dan. Oh

[00:33:29] Yeah, we covered a lot of the archaeologist stuff, but like just put some gloves on

[00:33:32] Yeah, I think a lot of that is fixed if you just put some gloves on

[00:33:36] Yeah, especially when you get underneath in the cave down there under the rocks. Yeah

[00:33:40] I mean this is stuff that's been sitting there presumably for 400 years

[00:33:45] Put some gloves on speaking of

[00:33:48] Gloveless activities. She just he opens a jar. It could be anything and she's like

[00:33:53] What are we got going on there Scorpio just like well, let me get a little taste

[00:34:00] Like look I'm not five o'clock somewhere

[00:34:06] What would Jimmy Buffett do say kill yourself by sticking your finger in a four-year-old jar that could be anything

[00:34:12] Look, I'm not look, you know, honey better than I do lady, but just until you get outside

[00:34:18] Meaning I know I know like you were complimenting her

[00:34:21] Wait till you get out in the Sun so you can see what's in the jar before you decide I can touch that

[00:34:26] Yeah, no right away if this honey is yeah reading

[00:34:31] Speaking of we talked about Andrew Walker and how much he takes care of his body

[00:34:33] The most unbelievable scene in this movie is watching Andrew Walker go back and take it to the tape

[00:34:38] Try to enjoy a piece of white bread

[00:34:41] He has to eat white bread

[00:34:44] In this movie, which I know because I know Andrew pretty well he wouldn't he doesn't

[00:34:50] No, no, are you kidding me right now?

[00:34:52] He's not gonna yuck your young but he ain't no white bread and he is like

[00:34:56] She's like chomping down on this thing. He's chewing one piece for a while. He's just like

[00:35:01] Like killing my insides like you can see it and it's fantastic. It's great cinema. You need to go back and check that out

[00:35:08] He needs to go into town to get some infrared machine and

[00:35:13] She's like the cars fix and he's like I'm gonna get a ride in the town

[00:35:17] She's like well, I can't take you and he's like well

[00:35:19] I just didn't know if you wanted to take me and she's like just because we kissed it is the weirdest

[00:35:24] Conversation I've seen in one of these movies and it appears that they're mad each other mad at each other and then they get in

[00:35:29] The car and then they arrive in town and it's like it never happened

[00:35:33] They get out of the car and it's just like we're laughing

[00:35:35] We're hanging out and I'll just say this that is the power of infrared machines

[00:35:42] Messed messed around no, but I think you get a tiny sir setting up the magic of them

[00:35:50] Yeah, why why is this like something that exists it shouldn't exist and yet it does

[00:35:56] You're telling me I can snap a picture or something and see what's behind the thing that I'm looking at

[00:36:01] That's wild that if you're ever in a tough for this

[00:36:05] For me to you if you're ever in a tough relationship and like things things aren't going well

[00:36:11] Things aren't going well

[00:36:13] Things aren't going well, like hey, here's a blessing for you

[00:36:17] Go rental an infrared machine and just have yourself a date night and get weird with it

[00:36:23] She infrared his heart cut that that'd be great. Oh, she infrared

[00:36:28] His heart

[00:36:31] Yeah, that's good I will say the other thing about this movie that drove me nuts is is they clearly just run out of time

[00:36:38] There when they get into the cave and

[00:36:41] Find all this old stuff. There's six minutes left in the movie the last six minutes fast and furious

[00:36:47] They just go through really really quickly and then last but not least

[00:36:52] Clearly at the Maltese market the booth is being closed as just honor system situation

[00:36:58] You just have all this honey for sale. You put a closed sign on that bad boy. No one in Malta is gonna touch your honey

[00:37:04] It's close. They're gonna it's close. They see it's closed in English. They see that they're not gonna grab honey and walk with it

[00:37:10] Nobody would do that not in Malta. Anyway, it's it's it's it's an honor system sitch

[00:37:15] We've got to go we just news came in on the fresco. We gotta go. We just can't deal with this right now

[00:37:21] Dude news came in on the fresco news came in on the fresco

[00:37:27] Scary house, thank you very much got spooked at the scary

[00:37:32] It's time for what the whole market is where we wonder what could have been maybe having some clarity any questions that we still have

[00:37:36] Brian yep

[00:37:39] Yeah, so they had two daughters right there sisters. Yes one a Pri only one daughter got the a Pri

[00:37:47] What up with that like why didn't both daughters get it like the mom gave it to me

[00:37:53] Maybe the other daughter got something else maybe

[00:37:56] But then she ended up with half the a Pri anyway

[00:37:59] So, I don't know. I'm just wondering was that was she upset about that?

[00:38:02] Was that intentional did the daughter not even care at the time with the a pair? She's off doing her MBA

[00:38:07] I don't know. Maybe just so weird. Maybe they had another a period maybe

[00:38:10] A hotel

[00:38:13] I hope so, but this one the a pier. Yes one gets something else, but that's all yeah, it's a little weird and so

[00:38:20] Yeah, you said it

[00:38:22] And I actually know what a periods are if you if anyone wants so hard to believe if anybody is like hey

[00:38:28] We're in like you need to give me some something about a beer. Yeah, I got so many things a sick one

[00:38:33] I got so many things about a beer is

[00:38:35] That I could tell you about like what they are. Yeah

[00:38:40] Oh

[00:38:42] You know what you how they taste

[00:38:46] No, no, and what is in the things in them tastes like I can tell you that too. You're trying to trick us, right?

[00:38:59] So yeah, so the big discovery here is yours what's an a Pierre eat no

[00:39:04] No

[00:39:06] Because you know, you know me and I'll talk to you about it afterwards, but I know them like I'm

[00:39:14] On them

[00:39:16] Yeah, I you know, they find this tunnel rocks tunnels goes down

[00:39:22] There's an in the tunnel one jar honey

[00:39:25] Empty box no bees. Yeah, and like oh

[00:39:30] No, like what happens? What happens then?

[00:39:34] They

[00:39:39] Know no, it wasn't my my my legit one is is what happens after that that that does find like obviously

[00:39:47] Yes to finish his research get 1010 all that good stuff

[00:39:51] But like it just isn't a lot down there. It's jar honey

[00:39:56] empty box

[00:39:59] Jar honey jar one jar honey one empty box. That is no a PR

[00:40:05] Had it been then we would talk like that seems tenure-worthy

[00:40:09] I don't know. I just still have it just they just say one month later and then like that's it and it's like alright

[00:40:15] I guess it was good enough because now he's on sapsap. So I

[00:40:19] Just on stab stab stab stab sabbatical

[00:40:23] Sabbath yeah, you get 1010 and immediately get sapsap and 10 sapsap combo. Yeah, honestly

[00:40:32] I'm working on tenure here for a while. Yeah, man. Yeah, you're definitely still in the mix. I yeah, I think so

[00:40:37] I think you're in a tent in mix. Yeah, Dan

[00:40:39] Mine is about 1010

[00:40:41] he says at one point I have to publish a new finding or I lose out on tenure and

[00:40:47] I've never had tenure before I was under the

[00:40:51] Assumption that tenure is the thing professors get where the job basically can't be revoked for from them and

[00:40:56] The way they get it is by a certain number of years of service or by completing something

[00:41:01] Where you're evaluated by someone on tenure

[00:41:05] Basically am I to understand this correctly they told Andrew Walker's character

[00:41:12] You need to go to Malta and you have to find something new if you don't find anything new

[00:41:19] In

[00:41:21] archaeology

[00:41:22] Then you don't get tenure. Is that the way I'm to understand that?

[00:41:26] Yeah, it sounds like it is his tenure was based on fine finding new historical evidence

[00:41:33] in an ancient civilization

[00:41:35] You find everyone knows is you find one jar honey one bit empty

[00:41:39] In an AP area. You're good to go

[00:41:41] I just like you can go and say hey you have to publish a new reports on

[00:41:46] What you found but the way that he says it is is if I don't find something new I'm out for tenure

[00:41:52] I don't I don't I don't get it

[00:41:57] Working

[00:42:01] All right, it doesn't know what please don't

[00:42:07] Don't do it

[00:42:12] You'll never know I know why it's because it's connected to my my my shnaggle Bluetooth. Yep

[00:42:19] What's an a beer II?

[00:42:22] There we go. That says hey, okay, so it's not gonna work right now

[00:42:26] Summer double-decker the week is where we dive deep into the life of one of the double-deckers if you can do that by signing

[00:42:30] up for

[00:42:31] Bramble jam plus calm at the double-decker tier

[00:42:36] Access it's so much with all access so much with all that

[00:42:40] I take a tape take it to the table everything always

[00:42:43] Ton of fun end up as a host on the show that actually is how you got there

[00:42:47] That's right our next our next employee will be a double-decker

[00:42:50] That's right and other are brim or all access and our other two employees have been up next is some clown named Mike Thompson

[00:42:58] Mike Thompson is that right then Mike Thompson, I guess

[00:43:02] My uncle named Mike Thompson, but that's not him. I could be anybody could be anybody passed away

[00:43:09] It's definitely not Mike somebody probably my identity so you don't believe in ghosts true. I'd say believe in goes man

[00:43:15] You believe in a Piri's though. Yeah, of course that tells you everything you need to know about what that is yeah

[00:43:22] Brian you did a deep dive into Mike Thompson did

[00:43:25] No relation no relation. I guess not I was down the wrong path for oh, yes one, but I strained it out

[00:43:31] I figured out the

[00:43:33] other uncle Mike worked for yeah

[00:43:36] Cisco

[00:43:38] Yes, absolutely

[00:43:40] He would wave to the Cisco truck. Yeah, Danny pepsi

[00:43:44] So yeah Mike off to a new year well. I guess we're halfway through the year aren't we here

[00:43:50] Starting a new venture here in 2024

[00:43:53] It's like a fusion of exercise and food and eating something

[00:43:58] That's been tried before you know you put together two great things exercise and food

[00:44:02] Yeah, of course doesn't really work, but I think this one's gonna work for Mike while you're on the move you get to eat

[00:44:08] Okay, and so this little thing it's a little thing we like to call

[00:44:12] Walk this way

[00:44:14] Okay

[00:44:20] Walk this way walk this way like the Run DMC song no no not even close

[00:44:25] They're not into walk walking like this

[00:44:28] What is is you you gather your friends or a friend or yourself say I'm gonna go get some exercise go for a walk as

[00:44:34] You're walking. You just really quick so you can do this with friends

[00:44:40] singular or by yourself

[00:44:43] No that's covers all the bases really any size group almost any size

[00:44:48] Group

[00:44:55] Walk this way is it's sort of like a service where you're walking you're doing your exercise and right next to you

[00:45:00] Somebody just stir-frying any meal you'd want they get all the ingredients

[00:45:07] How are they using a walk and going at the same it's gotta stay hot harvesting the power of the Sun mostly

[00:45:14] It's a solar-powered walk machine. That's that's the technology

[00:45:18] Actually, that's the thing you should that whatever the weird tie-in with being that's how you get who's walking

[00:45:25] Yeah, you don't need that as much as just the Sun you have a product. Yeah

[00:45:29] It's it is a product, but it's something we're really looking at we collectively here looking to get

[00:45:37] Get this to the next level so

[00:45:39] The more Sun we get the better

[00:45:42] Can I'm just real intrigued by the tech here yeah, there is a

[00:45:48] you know a pan a walk that has a

[00:45:53] What how is it being powered by yeah, this is like a little panel, okay?

[00:45:58] There's a solar panel, okay

[00:45:59] So the solar panel is which is pretty heavy actually you gotta do a little help while you're walking a big part of this

[00:46:05] Is as you're walking along you do have to kind of help carry this panel on your back pretty heavy

[00:46:11] Wow, yes, so this is a full back size solar panel, too

[00:46:16] Yeah, it's all it's a little how are they like a Tesla battery the walks you'd be surprised to saute an onion

[00:46:23] Properly the amount of heat you need

[00:46:26] So what we're doing is trying to it's it's a big part of the energy from the walking in the Sun

[00:46:33] Yes, and the walking going on. There's a not there's another one. It's they do the popcorn right for the runners
