[00:02:42] new reviews it's crazy Bran we we have not recorded in a while and the reviews have been coming in the mailbag last week almost i know that's crazy and i it's i maybe Apple held them up and they didn't put them all up because all of a sudden flooded with new reviews most of them overwhelmingly positive and the negative ones typically are about me so everybody really wins here are the negative still leaving five stars uh one of them two stars if dan keeps complaining about emily and richard

[00:03:08] i'm gonna have to quit listening all right that's from indian smfmn fb yeah that's her actual name that's right you know the problem is there's also probably five five star reviews ago if dan keeps complaining about richard and emily i will keep listening five stars you can't wait uh you know aside from that and our buddy playing penguin everyone else is just raves i mean funny silly witty says a reader my favorite fall asleep podcast right now morning zoo with a heart of gold absolutely

[00:04:31] it's not just gilmore they left a lot of gilmore reviews there so we are over if you want a break from dan come over to christmas morning that's right me and my buddy scott talking about christmas chad chimes in every once in a while that's right my favorite my favorite just like just like the russi danish kringle company we got a little something for everybody here at the bramble jam um but what i say one other thing brand is we did have a negative review we discussed from a plain penguin that's right someone wrote a positive five-star review under the name fancy

[00:05:00] penguin which i really appreciated oh yeah they're in on the bit it says five stars but five stars even though i'm annoyed you guys continue to disagree with me about the bracelet also i've never heard anyone question whether or not there was something that ran out in front of a car when jess was driving interesting take this is also pretty much the first in-depth male watch review of gilmore girls so maybe all men just think these things about jess and we ladies have been falling for his looks and charm

[00:05:26] and ignoring the insidious undertone you seem to have found lol five stars that's from fancy penguin seven thank you although in fairness we've fallen for jess's uh good looks and charms as well i mean yeah of course there was another review i couldn't find that was very happy to hear you i think they're christmas morning fan but there was one other they were like there's one other podcaster that makes it tough and i i knew they were talking about chad but i didn't want to say that

[00:05:51] of course right yeah yeah he's insufferable i get it my wife wrote down she was mad at me your wife's never mad at you chad oh man no well i started giving away a couple kringles she didn't like that as well listen i wait it's like we've always said you come for the kringle you leave with a story and sometimes another kringle oh here it is i found it jack w roberts says this would be a five stars for me although it is five stars so jack w you gave us five stars it would be and it is

[00:06:17] but because one of the three people i won't say who is constantly taking over the conversation and is quite unbearable other than that amazing other than that amazing even though i have not seen gilmore girls i'm very invested keep up the good work bran love it what i here's how i chose to read that was that last line is sarcastic i'm not gonna name the unbearable host and then at the end jack

[00:06:42] w goes keep up the good work bran it's bran that's unbearable i love he threw him out of the bus anyway thank you jack w for standing up for me and and finally saying what we all thought brain was absolutely right i i read that one too and bran was not the one i thought i thought it might be me maybe dan not brand no van brand is very bearable it's definitely a sarcastic i'm throwing brand under the no one no i love that no one finds me more insufferable than myself

[00:07:09] jack w join the club buddy um all right we're talking about season three episode one today it's called those lazy hazy crazy days and it premiered september 24th 2002 how about that we're back to september another season here we go and it went a little something like this

[00:07:35] lorelei wakes up to the sounds of a ton of alarm clocks or as i wrote down alarm clarks uh she oh hi it's me alarm clark we're not doing this you need like a red light snoozer clark the old fashion dingy ding what do you need it's me i'm clark oh i got a new good in the back

[00:07:56] coast guard 615 please it's me 615 set thank you everybody 615 set it's me clark thank you clark she yells down your alarms you're hilarious when she comes downstairs who's she talking to oh it's one luke danes there in her house making breakfast why is he at her house making breakfast

[00:08:20] breakfast who can say they kissed and she's pregnant with twins what the heck what happened this summer except womp womp it's all a dream she wakes up and immediately grabs her phone to call rory rory is in washington dc for the summer and she asked her to come home asap she tells her about the dream rory is like well clearly you're in love with him and you want him to have his babies

[00:08:44] and she's like try again rory's like okay well maybe you're still upset about dad and the fact that he's having a baby with another woman they're talking on the phone because rory's still in dc comes home on friday she uh wakes up and we see that dean has written her a ton of letters but she's not writing dean a letter she's writing jess a letter later lorelei is over at suki and jackson she wants

[00:09:11] to paint the house and make it more manly and jackson isn't having it uh taylor is asking uh someone oh taylor's in a wheelchair and thanks to somebody leaving a banana on his front porch the town is busy decorating for the end of summer madness festival it's a new one they're trying and taylor is pumped lorelei walks by luke's and just looks at him but keeps walking because i guess they're still

[00:09:38] in a fight uh back in dc we meet a dude named jamie who is all chummy with rory and paris he wants to get dinner with paris to quote unquote prep for the debate rory is like he just asked you out on a date and paris wasn't aware that she was just out for uh out out on a date and she starts freaking out meanwhile at the end kirk is trying to sell his hay skincare products lorelei gets a call from her

[00:10:05] mom and she's upset that lorelei didn't call her to welcome them back from the vineyard rory is on the phone with dean he's very excited to see her she has to hang up because paris is freaking out about the date after she leaves rory gets right back to writing jess a letter so lorelei hasn't told her parents about christopher and the baby and the whatnot the last they heard they're gonna try to make

[00:10:32] things work between the two of them so they're still operating under that and uh unfortunately she's gonna have to tell them eventually she goes to pick up rory from the airport and it's big excitement she tells her that she got her uh got her out of friday night dinner so that she can hang out with dean rory doesn't seem thrilled with that for some reason hmm huh interesting uh rory comes home

[00:10:57] and immediately changes into a dress once again who knows why when they make it to the summer festival she sees jess making out with a girl uh by a tree and she gets upset much to lorelei's surprise i thought this whole jess thing was behind us and rory's like it's not behind us like kiss him at the wedding and lorelei's like what are you talking about encourages her to figure out what the heck that she's

[00:11:22] what she wants because she's now officially treating dean like dirt it took a while but now she's officially treating him like dirt naturally dean walks up and rory kisses him like nothing is going on lorelei makes it to her parents and is struggling to tell them about christopher she finally does and it does not go well it leads to emily and richard getting into the screaming match with each other so lorelei just ducks out she makes it back to stars hollow and uh goes to talk to luke apparently

[00:11:51] still mad at each other but that doesn't stop her from opening up about christopher and he slides down a donut to her fight over when uh lorelei gets home rory is already there they make up and talk and she tells her that she wants to make things work with dean and now my friends was gilmore girls season three episode one those lazy hazy crazy days of summer

[00:14:28] the theme song we me too we did have some folks in the the reviews who accused us of they act like they haven't watched ahead but they have and i want to be very clear chad and i have tried to avoid spoilers at all costs the most we've ever done is maybe had like an episode banked extra if we had to batch record but by and large we do not know the overarching story of gilmore girls correct chad and we make our notes extemporaneously so even if we've watched a couple episodes our notes are made

[00:14:57] during that so we're not looking ahead at all we're trying to keep it that way we have our integrity if nothing yeah we're trying to to like stay out of who anybody ends up with or what happens next like do i have some vague notion of where it's going based upon just a lot of inference of like rory going to college nearby yeah i can probably piece together she's going to end up at yale that would be a guess of mine but like we don't know we really don't know yeah or you know if if we were talking

[00:15:27] chad's notes those aren't helpful at all so it's like chad's notes even if you did take them ahead wouldn't make any sense doesn't matter one way or another uh all right let's break this episode down we're going to start with a hot tag we're going to share our thoughts on this episode new season new episode what are your thoughts on this first episode of the season chad well speaking of my notes i wish you were both here to read this opening line to kick off season three is opens with l regis

[00:15:51] it was a dream i mean come on guys it was only a dream it was a dream is that your final season one okay luke so having twins that's a good read just it's like he's here with those friends i didn't know rest in peace rest in peace exactly so i love this is a good opener this is really good a lot of these shows you watch and a new season starts and they act like years have gone by or they don't reference

[00:16:20] what happened because in real life there's a continuum and things would keep going on i like that this happens here they go to dc we're discussing the wedding it's a perfect follow through so first of all that opening dream totally got me because you didn't know you thought it was real and i did because the way they did it it was just your daily like quotidian stuff they're making breakfast they're talking about whatever it's not like something major or weird dream sequence was going on i don't know it's very boring i saw all the clocks and then i saw what

[00:16:48] lorelei was wearing and i was like what is going on here and then she even references what she's wearing in the net when she calls rory she's like i was wearing a really nice nightgown like so like the 12 alarm clocks and what she was wearing i was like and then and then she goes downstairs and then they kiss i'm like dream like immediately dream but i will say it did a good enough job of not making it such a dreamscape right it did you could buy in yeah and waking up and kissing luke is

[00:17:15] brand's dream so i mean it's you know it's something that could happen so we've just i have had the same dream uh many times i'm wearing the same nightgown uh i look great brain keeps sending me flannels and hats like canvas hats in the mail weird it's weird you'd get the hint yeah yeah really get the hint yeah and asking for coffee so this episode had a ton of subplots going on which they always do but this one boils down to two main ones rory is back from dc which she's with

[00:17:44] dean but she clearly likes jess so whereas before she's only being unfair to dean she's kind of being unfair to jess in this one too it's really interesting so she's totally leading dean along her mom just will not accept this which is weird like your daughter's 16 17 it's not the love of her life it's not most likely going to be you know who she ends up with it's just a high school boyfriend um but jess moves on and rory can't believe it meanwhile rory didn't reach out to him

[00:18:10] all summer long not once and she's like i you moved on so she's wrong being mad like or upset about jess she's wrong leading dean on dean and jess aren't wrong here and it was just very interesting because she is just wants everyone to kind of kowtow to her when she's ready and be there for her but not do anything about it aside from that amazing fight with richard and emily really great start to the season a lot of other thoughts those are the big ones for me yeah i thought this was a really great

[00:18:38] premiere setting up a lot of of things uh i agree i thought that like when she sees jess kissing and lorelei immediately picks up on like what why are why is this upsetting you like that's a we will we see and we'll see a lot of lorelei and rory fights um but i really like the ones where lorelei is just

[00:19:06] trying her best to be a mom to be a mom in the moment and like from lorelei's perspective like she she knows that her daughter wants a specific thing for her future right um and she knows what happened to her when she was her age which is to get pregnant and you know uh she doesn't want that for her so i

[00:19:29] think jess almost like is everything that she's scared about um happening to to rory and so but she also wants her to live her life and so i think it's like the frustration of i can't believe you're this is still happening i can't believe you're still uh doing this thing this back and forth um i really like brand so you think to her she sees jess is like okay that's the early pregnancy

[00:19:56] dean is still going to harvard route basically the two different routes i mean dean is just safe altogether yeah just yeah yeah yeah but i mean you look at christopher christopher rides his motorcycle with his leather jacket type thing like he is he is jess ish but jess is also specifically like broken into her house and lied to her so lorelei has some grounds other than a lot of different reasons to not want your daughter to end up with that guy so um but i really like that argument and

[00:20:24] the fact that they came back at the end was i i like that um and yeah overall really good episode really enjoyed myself it's good to be back in stars hollow for the lazy hazy crazy days uh the god the summer festival come on so funny so uh it's great to be back dan yeah it starts really confidently i mean this show is on very firm footing right now uh the riders are clicking on all cylinders you get a little bit of virtually everyone aside from lane kim here right you get paris you get

[00:20:54] taylor you get kirk you get luke you get jess you get dean you get suki you get jackson you get all of the hits there uh and you get some emily and richard unfortunately and you get all of that i was pretty shocked i shouldn't be i was pretty shocked that this episode took time out to tell us a we

[00:21:15] acknowledge that three months has passed but b rory is just still with dean like i get the predicament she was in at the end of season two i also get she wants to keep the safe thing nearby and hopefully keep it that way in case the other thing falls apart then the safe thing seems even more attractive at that point but how long does she expect to keep this up like i would love to hear from people who have

[00:21:44] ever been in this position like for a high school junior now senior to keep this up for weeks or maybe a month or two but we're all under the impression that she has now kept up this ruse where she doesn't really think of dean that way anymore she literally avoids talking to this guy if at all possible she's been dating him now with that as her working feeling towards him for what six months at least

[00:22:11] six months at least that's what i'm saying she wants them to kowtow to her when she's ready but she doesn't want to do anything for it it's crazy i was she write him a letter all summer i just he had a stack of letters that i don't think she answered yeah i get if you could drag this on for weeks maybe a month or two but when i found out she was still with him and he's just like yeah everything's great even though he wrote her a letter a week and she didn't respond to any of them

[00:22:38] i don't know she doesn't want to get back the car because i'm trying i'm trying i'm trying my best to defend her i don't really have a lot here high schoolers are psychopaths man i don't they are that's fine you don't have to have it all figured out in high school it's no not fair for any adult to put that pressure on a high school student it's crazy that she spent six months with a boyfriend she doesn't even like i yeah i i don't like i thought at the end of the wedding and then her

[00:23:05] going to dc that was probably at least a break like a temporary break from dean the idea that i'm supposed to believe they've been dating all summer while she's in dc that was pretty crazy yeah especially because like there was a perfect excuse to break up i'm going to dc for the summer you're going wherever he was going for the summer like you can break up with him and honestly never even tell him about

[00:23:33] jess that's right kiss would have been fine like just really fumbled the bag there yeah 100 drop the ball i will say this i feel like season two started season one ended on cliffhanger or something about the it wasn't a proposal for max and then season two doesn't pick up immediately with that and like there's some episodes out of order it felt like this is a show that has gained a mass audience and popularity and is really like nose like full head of steam we picked up the plot right where it

[00:24:01] left off and we have a and they've also there's a lot of stuff in this episode that i just wasn't used to seeing from gilmore girls showing the arc for the season like rory and college and her with these two boys both vying for her attention that's the arc that's the arc of the season and they're just telling you that up front and if i'm wrong you can just stay quiet or tell me i'm wrong but it certainly appears that this gilmore girls has taken their their adhd medicine like they're very they're

[00:24:29] focused on hey we're letting you know up front in this first episode even if we veer off course we have a plan and an arc for this season which i never felt like in the first two seasons yeah so they have a clear life event at the end of this no matter what happens she graduates that's right so she's so something's big is happening and they know they're just fumbling towards it yeah and i will say this marvelous mrs mazel which i would propose years down the line we cover after this is over because you guys have not seen that show and i i would be reversed with me knowing all the stuff

[00:24:57] and you not knowing anything i think mazel's last season is and probably second season are their best seasons and there's a couple seasons in between there where there's a little bit more variance of like veering and kind of looking at shiny new things that aren't as good so maybe that's just like a you know a hallmark no pun intended of what's going on here it feels like they're very focused right now so i was very impressed fair enough i like that mazel the merrier by the way one review did

[00:25:24] suggest dawson's creek oh it should be fun that was filmed in my area so we could actually visit i remember it well from high school but i never actually watched it i i've never seen it either i feel like that is like a similar one tree hill yeah that's that's also filmed in my area and we could visit the locations wow how about i'm just trying to save a five-hour drive guys you guys come to that's fair but also mazel mazel is just a better show it's a phenomenal i think mazel belongs on a

[00:25:52] top 100 all-time list like it's a phenomenal television program it's so so so so so good i just can't it's so good better than gilmore way better and i think gilmore i think gilmore is great so far marvelous mrs mazel is it's marvelous phenomenal it's one of my favorite shows amy sherman paldino yes yes she wrote and it's alex the alex borstein who plays the harp in the first few episodes she is a full character in this jane lynch is a recurring um but i mean you got monk

[00:26:21] tony shalhoub you know i love tony who plays rachel brosahan's uh dad who's so funny uh she the lead is rachel brosahan's unbelievable it's a great television program i want to check it out and look for cousin rune see if he shows up there um all right let's get to our feels what in this episode a line perhaps gave us some feels chad if you can read your notes what you got oh man i had

[00:26:48] to call my cardiologist after my heart broke from this one this is like oofa feels guys so she has these stacks of letters right extensively unanswered from dean but she's on the phone with dean and he's wait rory on phoenix with him fro and dc as my notes say which i'm interpreting saying she's on the phone with him from dc right and not phoenix from dc i'm getting good uh and dean says see you

[00:27:14] friday i love you and rory says lovingly back gotta go and hangs up it was like oh my god i didn't even i didn't even notice that yeah yeah and dean dude you've got i mean this new version of dean that we're seeing let me just say he's kind of he's very milquetoast like he's lost all his riz as the kids would say you know you were texting me that the other day i was on our other show deck the homer we cover all the netflix christmas movies that's true did you know chad that netflix hasn't unveiled

[00:27:42] their entire christmas slate but their first two holiday movies the first one stars jess and the next one stars dean oh are you serious yes wow oh very milo will be in a christ netflix christmas movie and then two weeks later jared padalecki is how you say his name that's right he will be in a christmas movie on netflix how about that back to back they do a guest appearance they are both the romantic leads i believe so yeah yes netflix yeah jess versus dean reignited they're on i may have to

[00:28:08] throw my hat in for a guest appearance to cover one of those that would be fun come on yeah kill more the marrier crossover there you go wow can the internet handle it i don't know if they can i i gotta be honest with you uh we've made it 26 ish minutes now and we haven't really discussed paris and crazy that's what it feels to an amazing little storyline that paris gets in this episode i

[00:28:33] absolutely loved it but paris saying i finally get out of that out on a date and i missed it is so funny it's so paris she is the best i absolutely love her she's my favorite character and it's moments like this that remind me why i love paris you and i watched this in separate places on separate days and i wrote down the exact same line i can't believe this i finally get asked out

[00:29:01] on a date and i missed it paris is amazing this episode paris is also quietly heartbreaking in this episode um someone with such low self-esteem she doesn't feel she's even worthy to go on a date um and such low self-esteem that she makes rory get in the closet that's right because if he sees her that's right might be more dateable and looking all dateable like as like i just i i want as a as

[00:29:29] someone who has like you know just my heart just breaks for her i just want someone to come alongside her and be like you're enough like you are who you are and be that person don't be someone you're not like you maybe it'll be jammy it's so incredibly crazy to me that she's got that low self-esteem and and it like my heart breaks for what a great job you think i'll ever make a

[00:29:53] prediction here because we keep hearing that rory's a monster paris starts dating this guy and rory steals him oh my god monster that would be great will we see jamie again um no i'm gonna go with no i well he's in dc i think because they're separate areas they are and i don't know where he's from yeah you know i do love it like i do love that he also had a zagat which was fantastic

[00:30:18] but i also i mean i guess i wouldn't pass put it past the paladinos to bring him back sure in reference and then have him show up and stars hollow or short like we're on the phone i guess i change i'll change my mind on that and say yes just because they have the tendency to just be like yeah let's come back for an episode to to do this thing um but i just thought it was a great like just a really great pair of storyline but heartbreaking absolutely devastating more so than

[00:33:50] a few things here uh that i have so first of all the the quartet at the summer festival they seem like they know one song lazy hazy days of summer i don't know i just kept hearing that throughout the scene maybe they even reference it laurel i even references they did yeah you think that she goes you'd think they'd know another song she even says okay point which is so funny so laurel i had a wait what there i my wait what was also rory was upset when she saw jess kissing

[00:34:17] the girl the other girl while she's still with dean i know we kind of touched on this but how could you be upset you are dating dean you haven't spoken to jess or reached out to him since the wedding and you're upset that he didn't wait for three four months whatever that was a crazy wait what and my last one was still that laurel i who intuitively knows rory so well is still not getting even though she didn't know about the kiss at the wedding she's still not getting that rory's kind of over dean if you remember early on it was dean dean dean i'm gonna hang out with them we're gonna do this

[00:34:47] she dressed up you know like a 60s housewife in that one episode for dean cooked and the whole dinner and now she's like oh i don't know maybe i'll go to dinner with the grandparents she's not into it so laura laurel i i'm surprised isn't picking up on that or maybe she's blinded because she wants them to be together so there is some um selectivity with how we're doing some of the characters in in service of the plot i will say that i i i do think that you know laurel i isn't

[00:35:13] always an in-tune mom you know i think she's more of an in-tune friend than an in-tune mom but it there are some episodes before this that would suggest she would probably pick up on the vibe and try to move rory towards stop having them both on the hook well you know it's been a few weeks you can correct me if i'm wrong but i feel like the last conversation that those two had about jess

[00:35:40] was her being mad that everybody was blaming him for the crash i don't did they have a conversation after that it was the argument outside of the party right right outside they never really closed that circle right like they never really like laurel i stood on business and was like i'm gonna have a right to be mad right and it's like god you're the everybody hates jess and that was like the end of it right but as far as like uh yeah i don't i don't know why she would be surprised well laurel i knows that

[00:36:10] rory went to nyc to see jess and was late for her graduation this is not someone who's just going to quickly get over him and then all of a sudden love dean again i don't know it seemed like she should be aware of it for me was also yes that did happen after that happened after correct yeah then she doesn't tell her about the kiss because everything with christopher happens at the wedding right and she just says i'm going to yeah i'm going to dc gotcha it was great yeah um i only have one which is at the end of this episode he slides down the donut which sick uh such a cool move uh

[00:36:41] you honestly you put that sucker on a plate and you uh slide that right down and you leave the story i uh but i i always love when people slide things down on a counter yeah it's just cool yeah yeah it's cool i bet chad i bet you do that all the time oh man i just like in the morning my kids want some cereal i'm like shoo and it lands perfectly in front of them no milk i do that and the milk goes everywhere i am but i i couldn't believe she's like i'm not hungry and he's like just take it and

[00:37:10] uh we find out that she put the donut in her purse and that's a wild move and it's not one of the big purses either it's one of the she's got the small one that day that's a wild move to me just either i i would have done the thing probably where you know just take it right and i would walk out i'd maybe take a bite on the walk home and i'd throw their trash can on the street like i'm not

[00:37:34] gonna yeah in your purse put it in my purse what i put it in my fanny pack i mean i put i put bagged candy in my fanny pack for the movie theater i just immediately i've snuck in mcdonald's in my fanny pack so maybe that's the same thing i just i have a i have a who what when fanny pack and i keep protein powder in there yeah you do so you know what i think about it this is stupid i have no weight what's so dumb put a donut put a donut in your purse yeah put a bird on it uh yeah so this

[00:38:03] episode has a lot of political references in it because they're in washington dc they reference both senators tom daschle and trent lott who fought each other on the senate floor in march of 2002 this famously yeah yeah about uh i think something going on in iraq yeah um iraq of course but the thing that was just a really disheartening wait what is paris believes that the office of the

[00:38:28] presidency is being marred and being kind of disrespected because george w bush is spending too much time with bono from you two right right yeah that's as bad as it got it actually doesn't get worse than nothing makes me want to just ball tears into a pillow then 2002 pop culture believing

[00:38:51] that the president wasn't acting up to the office's very high standards because he was hanging out with one of the more generous good-hearted done more for charity rock and roll musicians ever to live right that that was the big that was it right he's spending so much time with bono that he doesn't really realize how important the job of president is yeah that would be like us offering five thousand

[00:39:21] dollars for every review for gilmore the marrier i'm just throwing it out there like a random number right like it's uh checks will be in the mail i couldn't i took i had to pause it and just kind of breathe through it a little bit that paris's hot take on what's ruining government is george w bush is hanging out with bono too much i i'll see on days oh my gosh man oh for the days wow we really you know you don't know what you got till it's gone um well 25 years in the future dan don't worry

[00:39:50] everything's better oh for sure yeah yeah yeah yeah the farms will be sponsored by gatorade uh okay um guys i can't believe we've made it this far without really touching on this at all um you guys know how i feel about richard and emily i don't find them funny i don't find them amusing i think they're toxic terrible parents who should be completely cut off until they will apologize and say i love you unequivocally full stop the most damning thing about these two individuals that you need to know is

[00:40:19] is they are team christopher i don't your defense is gone the most toxic man in this show has the backing of lorelei's parents full stop not partially not a little bit richard believes christopher to be more upstanding than his own daughter quote always does the right thing that's right that's a quote

[00:40:45] that's right i believe yeah these two people are the absolute worst the absolute worst there is no good in them that is it for lorelei to have to sit and hear them they'd never hang out with bono talk they would never talk about it wouldn't hang out with that how you need to go fight for this very toxic dude who means nothing but ill to her and her daughter and i guys i don't know how much clearer

[00:41:14] the the the the creators of this show can make it you're not supposed to pull for these two characters in any way form or fashion you're just not yeah a guy who shows up you know lives where the streets have no name and like and just shows up every sunday bloody sunday and like adam blue is not a father there all that's right he's got a joshua tree in his backyard it's seriously what's the kind of zootopia going on around here it's wild no there's one of them i don't know sing too

[00:43:00] showing up not showing up he's not going to change his pattern or maybe he will so i want to know what happens with that mainly i want to know more about paris's date what happened is that going to go keep going so i would love to see paris get a modicum of happiness and lastly taylor's not one to just give up someone threw a banana appeal spun his cart out like it's mario kart and now he's injured so is he going to track down the culprit and find out who it is because with taylor you never know so i

[00:43:27] some major questions here that's it so i want to know the letter that rory is writing to jess the dear jess on a notebook paper is this um a letter that she is planning to hand to him in person like she did dean if you remember she writes this letter to dean to explain what happened with the car and hands it

[00:43:56] to him and then sits there and waits for him to read it interesting is like because she's coming to the end of her trip is she mailing that letter or is she going to go and i took it as she just couldn't write it all summer like she was trying to write it but couldn't but i like your theory like like i'm finally gonna write everything that i feel about you and then when i see you again in person i'm gonna give you this letter but oh she he's kissing this other girl so i can't do that

[00:44:22] like what happens to the letter because good one she never brings it up to him like i wrote i wrote you a letter did you get it never runs up and hands it so like what is it is it that is it like i wanted to write but i couldn't all summer is it like i really want to get i'm telling you how i feel so i want to get it exactly right and i'm going to hand it to him in person wait for him to read it like dean and then he'll invite me in for dinner just like he did like what is the what's the plan for the

[00:44:50] letter dano yeah so i don't want to answer this i don't want even a reaction and you do a great job at not reacting that here brand but you know we had the crazy summer festival uh in this episode crazy hazy yeah and then you know in the last two years we've had the the thing where they all went to the uh it's supposed to be for a company in chicago what's what's the thing where they all end up at the end bainbridge yeah the bainbridge thing we've had the picnic basket auction

[00:45:16] a tisket a task uh we've had the films in the park the film series in the park your standard fall yeah we have the founder's day founder's we have fall fest so have we had we've not had a have we had the reenactor we did the reenactment first season okay so that was founder's day reenactment and when luke's uncle died they well they appear they didn't do the reenact but we've not had a repeat of any of those and we're in season three so i am curious throughout the seven years of

[00:45:44] this show is if we ever if anything that we've seen comes back around or do they just keep making new ones up and i don't know where i stand on it i don't know if i would rather have new ones every time or i i think i lean like i would love another picnic basket i would love another not like you know a community used to be really famous for their uh uh halloween the paintball episode and the halloween you know there were some episodes you got in community every year i don't know if i need a

[00:46:12] picnic basket episode every year but i'd love for it to come back again in season five or season six or we show it yeah yeah are we to understand that just three or four times a season they're just going to make up a new festival i don't like that as much it's interesting because you know that the uh picnic back back back picnic back thing reading straight from chad has happened it is a thing because they talk about how it's tradition so like it does happen every year will we see it right well there

[00:46:39] is one for every month because she does say to taylor oh you finally figured out september yeah so there are presumably 11 others so you guys crushed that thank you so good that's what i got uh you know what i don't like people celebrate that and they're like it's do you remember the 21st day of september or whatever but it's the 21st night so we would be discussing this in the 22nd not the 21st because that's such a
