Why human existence? I think it's a good question I think it's pretty straightforward It's because Hallmark started showing it That's right Boy Meets World is your favorite show Pick one right now Gun to your head

I don't know But in this situation You have to pick one of those two shows as your favorite of all time I can only watch my like what desert island show Yeah, what's your favorite? Is Boy Meets World that good? No, this show is better than Boy Meets World What's great about those two shows though is both these shows have lead characters that are gosh darn unlikable sometimes Corey is so annoying and frustrating I'm going Boy Meets World

Get out of here The finale was perfect Perfect, perfect episode of television Yeah Finale's my favorite Okay I don't, early on I feel like the show is trying to find its footing Sure And has a few episodes that are not very balanced Yeah And I think you would agree with that Yeah, I would say any episode that has a town meeting is my favorite episode Yeah Well, I just think Yeah, I would agree with that

[00:05:14] There's two of those Yeah And they're both great Great The early on, it was probably episode three, four, five, somewhere in there I think there's just a real big miss for me I don't remember which one was I think the town hall episode or the town meeting and then with the revolutionary soldiers Founders Day Like all of that That's probably good Founders Day is the finale The other one was about revolutionary war reenactments Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, that's great I'm having trouble thinking of any episode as an individual episode Right One big story I've never seen scenes and moments And I think that's a feature not a bug Yeah, yeah, yeah

Didn't think that you'd like them But then you end up did Or and vice versa Dan, I think you've talked about one Michelle Michelle, yeah Yeah, I think Michelle has really grown on me I think early on Remember the show also had Alex Borsi As this harpist Early on The show felt a lot more like Trying to play a drum set with 10 cymbals Like it was like Everybody has to get a little chime in

[00:07:13] And it didn't feel very cohesive Now, after the first few episodes Where you have to establish those characters Where Michelle felt like just one extra Unnecessary eccentricity Of one-liners, right? Like you had like I felt like early on There were five characters Who come in just to be zippy one-liners Where the show's filled with zippy one-liners Right So now that it feels like a cohesive story Where it's Even though I If I don't see every character every week I know that they're there And they're doing something Something Michelle's great

[00:07:43] Michelle is consistently funny And a really great part of it And then James Gunn's brother What's his name? Kirk He's really starting to grow on me As well For sure Yeah I have Paris Because at the beginning To me she was just Just petty And kind of evil And Machiavellian And she Once you met her Understood her mom And what she's gone through In her own struggle That it kind of made her More of a sympathetic character So she grew for me I You can take this however you like it I find myself wishing that

[00:08:11] The actor that played Paris Got to play Rory And the actor that was Rory Could play Paris Yeah I've got I feel like I just think she's a better actor Oh Interesting I don't I think Is it Alexis Bedell? Is that how you say her name? I think she's okay I think she If I had to pick She's probably the weakest link In this show Personally Weaker than Rune Well Rune is I mean Rune is No one talks about Rune more than The Runeiverse He's a cousin

[00:13:01] Here That's not fair to them They talk about how They can't keep one So But that's more about Them firing them Because of their Unnecessary Unnecessarily high standards Right Right Yeah So that makes it bad And as someone who Chronically underpays Their household staff I get it You know what I mean No you get it You would understand Right Yeah Debbie wants to know For Dan and Chad What were your expectations Going into this And has the show Exceeded or met Your expectations That's That's a great Great question

[00:13:31] You wanna go first Sure So I heard so much About this show You know I mean It's really every fall Especially people Come around They're talking about it So I was like This has gotta be good But the subject itself I was like I don't know A mom and daughter thing And I just didn't know If I'd be interested or not And there's a lot of shows That don't hold my interest But this show Has far exceeded My expectations I thought it'd be good fun I thought it'd be You know Entertaining But like I really Really enjoy it And I look forward to it And it is so Better written

[00:14:00] And so much funnier And so much deeper And I find myself Way more engaged Than I thought I'd be So really enjoying Because we'd be doing this anyway So the fact that we get To enjoy it is great So I was really dreading this Because of Chad No Not because of Chad The Marriott I was really He is the money Yeah He's the money I was really dreading this Because I Contrary to popular belief If my buddy Bran loves something I have no desire To denigrate that thing Oh I thought you were Going to say To watch

[00:14:29] And we watch If my buddy Bran likes it I probably don't Watch it Bran I love when Bran And I go to a movie And we both love it Like it's a great experience It's very exhilarating I Bran loves a movie Called Brink And I remember We started DCOM Descendants Because of it And I was watching Brink And 45 minutes in My heart sank Because I was like This movie sucks And I'm going to have to say it Because I can't just be nice Like if it sucks I have to say it sucks And so I was I love Mrs. Maisel But I was worried

[00:14:57] That a 22 episode season Of Maisel With that amount of Scene chewing Wouldn't work And so I just was worried It wasn't going to be good And I have been more than Pleasantly surprised This show's It's not good This show's great It's a great television show And I'm happy to I'm happy that we're doing it Yeah Like I can't It's easily the best thing We watch week to week So I've been very happy Yeah it's hard not going forward As people have commented too

[00:22:22] I would probably say that But in reality Like that's what my head's saying My heart's saying town hall You know what I mean Well that's I was going to say My big takeaway from season one Is how little they use Taylor Because in my mind Taylor is Big deal Big deal Right So I'm going to go Taylor though Because even in those Few episodes that we've seen He's fine He's fine in his groove Right You know what I'd like to see A Downton Abbey style version Of Richard and Emily's Like basement With all the staff That would be an interesting show Right

[00:22:51] With the gossiping and everything I'd do any scene That is Richard and Emily I know those are main scenes But I'm all for those But they're not Love it or hate it They're great They're not They are recurring Because they're not in every episode Right No I know they're too big That would qualify I think it would be fair It would be fair to say That those aren't in They don't go to their house Every week And they're not in every episode Right Technically they're not I mean Richard Those two characters Are in like Over a hundred Of a hundred and fifty episodes But technically Not in all of them Right right Yeah they go a few without them The better question is

[00:23:20] Which storyline Would you be fine Not seeing Like I don't The Lane Kim storyline Is the least interesting Of all the storylines To me Yeah It just is It feels I know at the time Having the representation Was probably Seen as a net positive But it feels Very weirdly Tokenized It doesn't meld as well As the other storylines It just feels like Oh look at this Asian mom And how silly she is With what she's trying to do To this poor kid It doesn't feel And I don't think It's offensive

[00:23:50] Because I think At the time It would have been A bigger deal But it just doesn't Really age very well And it just doesn't Do anything for me Yeah Yeah Fair enough Let's do one more And take one more break How about that Okay I love that Shelby says Which character Would you like to get A Hallmark movie spinoff Oh Easy Yeah Yeah Because well we just said Palaha and Luke So we've got Luke Well Luke And it's called It's beginning to Luke A lot like Christmas I mean Come on Luke makes the most sense

[00:24:19] Because he's the guy That hasn't left his hometown Right That just works the steady job That the big city girl Is going to come back And realize Luke is a Hallmarker He's got the wardrobe Is he the archetype For the wardrobe you think He's a Hallmark character If the Hallmark character Never like looked The other character in the eye And said how they felt Yeah Yeah Like that's who he is Oh he's looking at camera too Yeah Yeah he's always looking Off screen Just a little bit I think Do you think that Luke Will never tell her How he feels Dan

[00:24:50] I think That the fact That it hasn't happened yet Is pretty Inexcusable I don't know Like I know what they're trying to do I do Like Shows And especially in the early 2000s Were Almost all of them had this We can't put the two people together Because that's the whole The will they won't Yes And Shows that Like a lot of shows did this Like in the 2000s Some still do

[00:25:19] But like I feel like the office Actually broke that trend When they're like Nope Jim and Payne were getting together And now they're getting married Now they're buying a house And this is what they're doing And that's just part Of how we Normal relationships work And everybody kind of awoke Like awoke from the haze And we're like Oh yeah We don't have to do this nonsense And to your point Jim shoots a shot At the end of season one That's right So in this But like In the In the other iterations of that I'm thinking mainly Boones and Boones and both Bones and Booth And I'm thinking Ross and Rachel

[00:25:49] Is two very specific examples I'm also thinking JD And Why can't I think of Sarah Chalk's name On the show Scrubs Like they were a big Will they won't they In all of those cases All three of those cases Feelings were told From one to the other On both sides And then they just Decided not to Right That's just how adults Would handle the situation In this situation They're doing it But they have a character Who's just Like a baby He just is like Refuses to do anything

[00:26:18] Different or grow up At all So like I don't Them getting together Won't do anything for me I don't I firmly don't want I don't want them To be together I have nothing in my soul It's like I wish Lorelai and Luke Would be I think she could Do so much better What do you think About her getting together With Christopher The dad Getting back I think that would Be a better choice For sure I think they have Great I think they have Great chemistry And I think it's It's really Easy chemistry I think her chemistry With Max Medina Is great as well I also think she Doesn't need a man And could be by herself And be great too So Or maybe She'll finally

[00:29:14] His thoughts From the grandparents Perfectly clear But I do want to I want to hear Chad first What are your Thoughts on So I do feel Like Richard and Emily Whether they Admitted or not Realized a lot of Mistakes they made With Lorelai Even if they're Not conscious of it And they're trying To make amends With that And treat Rory The way they want to I also think They're kind of Showing Hey Lorelai Look what you Could have had The way they're Treating Rory Which is terrible But I think They're going to Grow Because they're Going to realize They don't want

[00:29:44] To lose the Second person Like they lost Lorelai Like they've Already talked About So I do feel There's going To be growth I think they're All going to Come together Maybe I'm just Too optimistic What a guy And so I think That Rory is going To be the bridge Between them all And they're going To live happily Ever after I think I think I'm going to Be way off On that I think That grandkids Become a weird A lot of times Unhealthy bridge Between parents And children It's a weird thing Where it's like These kids Like I don't
