[00:00:00] Kringles! Kringle indeed, Dan! Shout out to our friends that we've seen. Danish Kringle Company, we're presented by them all holiday season long and that starts right now. We're starting the holiday season even earlier than Hallmark is this year, Dan, because this is Kringle Season. And I can't tell you, Bran, my kids get, this is the food my kids get the most excited for. I break a Kringle out, they know it's part of the time.

[00:00:24] I mean, unbelievable, whether it's cinnamon or cheesecake, two of my personal favorites, or if it's pumpkin spice, pumpkin caramel, maple walnut, almond, pear almond. There's so many options. They're homemade right in Racine, Wisconsin. They're hand iced and they're shipped across the country. You're going to love these pastries, whether you get the sticks or the full big boys that look like airplane tires. However you go about ordering them, you're going to want to start right now and you're going to want to go to Kringle.com. That's it.

[00:00:52] That's their website. It's that easy. Promo code DTHOCT26 will get you 10% off site-wide. Stay tuned all season long to Deck the Hallmark to find some other exclusive promo codes you can only get by listening right here. But you're going to love these pastries and you need to go and buy a bunch right now. That's right, Dan. Stay tuned all holiday season long for more Kringle fun. Here's today's episode. This is a Bramble Jam podcast.

[00:01:33] Deck The Hallmark La la la la. Ba, ba, ba, ba. Hey! I'm the Deck The Hallmark A mailbag episode this week. Big show. Really big show. We need a week to just decompress. Process. Before we dive into season three. A lot to get to. A lot of great questions from the listeners. But I've got to ask you boys, how are you doing?

[00:02:03] We finished two seasons of Gilmore Girls already. Remember when we were doubling up for the first batch of weeks? What a mistake. What a mistake that was. We'll never have it back. No. We've talked about overcompensating for that and splitting up one episode into two episodes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. To do like 20 minutes of TV time for one episode. And then we wonder what will happen in the last half of the episode. A whole episode on just what Kirk did during the episode would be fun, right? Right. Yeah. Absolutely. How are you guys feeling? Season two.

[00:02:33] I feel great. I feel like I can't believe it took me this long to watch the show. Years and years of hearing Bram wanting to talk about anyone who had seen it. Talk with anyone who had seen it. I feel like I'd let you down. I should have been watching a long time ago. I've listened. Not only that, we looked at the list. Well, we lucked out, Dan and I, because we agreed to do this, the whole series. That's right. And I love this show now. But if we didn't, this would be a real slog. It would be a real slog. Yeah, I don't think you'd be driving down. No. You're right. I'd be definitely phoning it in, literally and figuratively. That's right. If it was a bad show, it would be a different story. Yeah. For sure.

[00:03:02] This is your fifth week in a row driving down. Yeah. Unbelievable, man. Yeah, gas prices are crazy. It's stupid. Worth it, though. Checks in the mail, Chad. Don't worry. Checks in the mail. Thank you. Yeah. Good. I mean, the last one, the gas is so high, I just pushed my car the last 100 miles. You pushed it. Yeah. It would have been quicker. I left the car, like, thinking about it now, but it's good exercise. It's good. Checks in the mailbag. Are you ready for me to open it up? Yeah. Let's do it.

[00:03:32] Oh, we've opened the mailbag. Hello. That's the sound the mailbag makes when I pull a letter out. It's really weird. This is from, on Instagram, this is from Kay McIver. All right. Kay McIver. When you hear Rory is the worst, what is your prediction for why she is called that? So, yeah, because Bran says that all the time. Yeah.

[00:03:58] I will say that if I wasn't phased terribly much by her missing Lorelei's graduation. I wasn't. I think it was bad. I don't think that makes her the worst. Sure. I think that makes her a teenager with mixed up priorities. And so, if it's in line with that, then she's not the worst. If we're going to go up the ladder a lot from there when it comes to her negligence toward

[00:04:26] the feeling of others, I don't even know what that would look like. I don't know because she's going to be in college at some point. She's going to be in college at one point. At some point, she's going to be an adult with years of understanding how to think of others. And at some point, I didn't know any better is not a good enough excuse. And I probably will have a problem then more than I'll have one now. I don't know what that is, though. I can't think of a thing in my head that would make me do that. But I don't know the circumstances.

[00:04:56] Do you have anything on top of your head? Yeah. For me, she's such a proclivity for lying and trying to now get other people to lie for her. That in these next seasons, she's going to just start manipulating people and just like crushing her mom's belief in her. That's what I think is going to happen. I think everyone, the town and her mom and these people who really believe in her, she's going to ruin their hopes and dreams like Richard and Emily putting it on her and then just crushing some hearts and things with these boys she's dating. So, yeah, I think she's going to be sociopathically lying and getting others to lie.

[00:05:25] The thing that's made me most furious about Rory is when she runs to Richard and Emily. So if it's for me, what would make her the worst is her fully just taking their side in the relational argument between Richard and Emily and Lorelai. If she were to do that somehow, figuratively or literally, then I would have a big problem even now. I don't, like, even now.

[00:05:53] I understand they're your grandparents, but she has to know enough to know better at this point. Right. So we'll see. But I think so. Yeah. Is that a good answer, Brian? That's a good answer. Thank you. Good question, too. Thank you. You just got to wonder, are you guys going big enough? Oh. I mean, I just don't know how much bigger there is than what I said just now. I mean, I, you know, she's not murdering people, right? She's selling federal land. If she murders people, then she would be the worst. Right.

[00:06:23] Okay. Great. Well, Dan didn't bat an eyelash. Maybe she murdered someone. Yeah. This is from Cindy. She murders Kirk. This is from Cindy Primus, 2011. Cindy Primus. If each of you lived in Stars Hollow, where would you want to work? Ooh. That's a great question. That's fun. I know you'd want to work. Let's talk about the aside. We got Miss Patty's, which is like a dance studio. We've got Dosey's Market. We've got Luke's Diner. I'm going to go video store. We have the other night. I knew you were going to dance. I was thinking for you. I'm going to go video store.

[00:06:53] I've got an easy one. Go on. Music store with Carole King. Oh my gosh. You probably too, right? I'd probably do the music store. I would probably just find out whatever job Kirk's working for that day and go there. I just want to work alongside Kirk. That's fair. So it doesn't really matter whether it's the pests or the video store or whatever. Whatever Kirk's doing, I'm here. I would be Kirk's assistant on his movie. That's where I would want to work. That's the dream. Dosey's Market, though.

[00:07:22] You would meet everyone in town. You would see them all. That'd be fun. I'm still video store. No question. Interesting. Would you do the thing like that Rory did where all the videos that are like R-rated go in the back? No. No. That was her idea. That's right. You get to talk to everybody at the video store, too. Everybody's written movies in 2002. Yeah. Okay. This is from G Bortle, 86. Prediction for season three specifically when it comes to Rory, Lorelai, Emily's relationship. Oh my God. I don't want to talk about it.

[00:07:52] I don't want to talk about it. I don't. They have done a pretty remarkable job of showing these three generations of women all going through a different stage of their life and how they interact to others and how one of them was treated by the other one dictates how they will treat the other one, if that makes sense. I love that when it comes to how Lorelai treats Rory.

[00:08:21] I have no, I don't want to see Emily Gilmore on my screen. She's a phenomenal actor. I don't want to see her on the screen ever. I don't think she's funny and I don't think she's entertaining and I don't think she has anything to offer that I need to hear. So that's where I am. Wow. Sorry. For me, whether you like her a lot and I love her character. When she's on, I am glued to the screen. I can't turn away. Dan doesn't even find her entertaining. No. Right. Interesting. I love that character. It's hard. No, I can't say it.

[00:08:50] I would just get destroyed. Occasionally, she's a very talented actor and her character does some things that are funny, but all I see is everything she is and I hate it and I don't want any part of it. So it's not funny to me and it's not entertaining. Well, where's the relationship go? Give me two. Yeah. Well, that's the thing is, is that I, unless, Chad, you know what I need to hear for growth and I will tell you that there's growth.

[00:09:19] If it is a full stop, unequivocal with no strings attached apology and I love you, great. You don't think it'll ever happen? No. If it does, then I'll be wrong. And I would love to see that and I would love to cheer for, I love a redemption story. Yeah. I would love to cheer for the ultimate redemption of Emily Gilmore. I don't believe that's happening. I don't believe, I know the creator of the show, not personally, but I've seen her other work and I know how she feels about mothers.

[00:09:48] I don't think it's happening. Oh, right. Okay. But maybe I'm wrong. Yeah. Tia wants to know our favorite episode of season two. I'm fairly certain we probably, it's either for all of us, either the last one or- Tisket or Tasket. Tasket. Oh, that as well? I think for me it's the finale and then Tisket or Tasket. I like the Christmas episode. Oh yeah. Of course you do. Yeah. That's a good one. Great one. No, I think- But I think it's those three. Finale and then Basket and then Christmas. That would be my order. What do you think? Yeah. You can't top the finale.

[00:10:17] I mean, I want to pick another one. That one five minute span of the finale where it goes from, it still hurts. He tells poor Rory Christopher- It's really good television. Yeah. I'm like moving in. We're going to get that nuclear family you always wanted. Yeah. And then one minute later, she's kissing Jess. And a minute later, Sherry's pregnant. And then a minute later, he's leaving. Whew. You can't beat that. The episode that is in season one where they're all in the hotel- Holly's gone. Holly said Dan hates older women. Understood. Yeah. That's it. That's a good takeaway.

[00:10:46] That episode from season one is in my top five still. Bainbridge? Is that the one? The one where they all- Bainbridge is season two. Bainbridge Diet. Where they're all eating together at Stars Hollow. They're all- The group from Chicago cancels. Yeah. And so they invite everyone- That's the Bainbridge dinner. That is season two early on, I think. That's season two? I think. Then I like that more than Tiskit, Taskit, and the Christmas episode. That would be two for me. That is the Christmas episode. Oh, that is the- Okay. My bad. No, it's okay. The Christmas episode is right behind-

[00:11:16] I believe that's episode 10 of- Gimme season finale and then the Christmas episode neck and neck. I'm sorry. I mixed those up. Yeah, that was a great one. No, I can see how you got there. I do want to just- Now you got me down. I thought that was in the first season, and I clearly- I mean, like, clearly it all runs together, so- Well, at least, at the very least, two episodes at a time run together from season one for us. Right. It's the first, yeah, 12 we did together. Yeah. Bracebridge dinner episode 10 of season two. Okay. There you go. Nailed it. I'm so proud of you.

[00:11:45] Another question from Tia. Who do you think that Lorelai will be dating in season three, based on season two? Do you think it's going to be Christopher? Do you think it's going to be Max? Do you think Max is coming back? Do you think it's going to be Luke? Or do you think it's going to be somebody that we haven't met yet? I- Or do you think she's going to date herself? I'll admit that I was fooled with the Christopher thing. I wasn't pulling for it necessarily, but when they did all that with three minutes left in the show, I was like, so the season three is going to be them figuring out why this is a bad idea.

[00:12:15] Right. And then when they doubled back and had Sherry be pregnant- So you think Christopher's going to try to make it work with New Baby and with Lorelai? No. Oh, okay. I thought before the reveal that Sherry's pregnant, I thought this is, oh, they're going to do this. Christopher's going to show up, and for the first three episodes of season two, he's going to be around. They're going to figure out it doesn't work. And he's going to mess up again. Yeah. Right. But now, I don't think Luke is unfortunately the end game for Lorelai, which is so stupid,

[00:12:45] but I don't think they're going to do that yet. I don't think they're going to do that yet. I don't think Max Medina's coming back, and so my answer is someone we've not met or no one. Right. Oh, I think it's someone we haven't met yet, but I do- But she wouldn't ask the question if it was someone we had not met. That's what makes me kind of like- She might ask that question. Okay. Yeah. Maybe she starts dating Kurt. I don't think it makes any- That's interesting. Or Rune. It doesn't make any sense in my head for her to, in season three,

[00:13:14] be dating anyone that we've met already. Right. How could Max not come back at all? He's a teacher at Chilton, correct? It's never stopped him before. In theory, he's a teacher at Chilton. Right. I was saying at some point, he was such a developed character, and I guess at this point, they must understand, he's probably a somewhat beloved character. I would think they would bring him back just for that. I could see season three opens or something. They're at Chilton, and Max is there looking all good, reading a book, and things rekindle. So maybe she's dating Max again. I don't know. I'd like to see that. That'd be a cool storyline.

[00:13:44] All right. Yeah. All right. Very good. Speaking of dating, do you have any prediction on who Logan is and when he'll show up? Who is Logan the love interest of, do you believe? I think Logan is a love interest of Lorelai because people tend to love Logan and love Jess, and I don't think that they would both be for Rory. I don't know anything else,

[00:14:12] but my guess is that Logan is a Lorelai love interest. Right, because otherwise she's just going straight with Dean at this point unless someone else comes back. You mean Luke. Right, right, with Luke. Yeah, maybe Dean. That'd be interesting. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Very good. Okay. Hi, cozy earth,

[00:16:11] Welcome back, everybody. It's good to be here today. It was a little mailbag episode post-season two. These are good questions so far. Yeah, thank you, everybody. Great questions. We had like over 4,000 questions. We had to call the best ones, right? That's wild. 1,300 Instagram followers. It was like three questions per each. Yeah, that's right. No, it actually is more, but it reset. It reset. Oh, yeah. It happens. It all went back to all zeros. Yeah, that's a lot for you. Yeah, it does. Holly wants to do a rapid fire of Kiss, Marry, Kill.

[00:16:41] Are you ready? Yeah. Kiss, Marry, Kill, Kirk, Cousin Rune, Jackson. Wow. Wow. Oh, this is easy. I'm killing Rune. That's a no-brainer. And I'm kissing Jackson and I'm marrying Kirk. No question. That's easy. Because you think he'll keep you entertained and break in? Yeah, I want to hang out with Kirk all day. Okay. I'm marrying Jackson because he's got the best produce. So that's long-term for me. Right. At the very... If the world comes to an end,

[00:17:10] he's got the best produce. You've got produce. Right, yeah. So definitely, he's a provider. He's a provider. He's a provider. Apocalypse is coming. If the apocalypse comes, but the ground is still good for tilling. Yeah. Right, right. Right. But I believe that he's wise enough to where if he can't go outside, he could figure out how to tell. He has a frozen store of them I've got somewhere too. So and then Kirk or Rune. You've got to kill one of them. Yeah, I'm killing Kirk because I feel bad for Rune. I feel bad for Rune. Get out. I'll kiss him before I kill him, but I'm killing him

[00:17:40] because Rune needs love. He's like a puppy that needs to be rescued. No one cares about Rune. There's a reason he hasn't shown up in eight episodes, 20 episodes. I'm already out of it. I'm waiting. I'm killing Rune. I think we're going to have three different ones here. I'm killing Rune. I think I'm just going to kiss Kirk just to kind of see how he responds. But I do think being married to Kirk would... Hilarious. It would be hilarious. It would also be infuriating, I believe, at times. Yeah, Jackson, I believe, is the safest bet for the produce if for no other reason.

[00:18:10] Kiss, marry, kill, Miss Patty, Taylor, and Michelle. This isn't fair. That's great. This is a great question. That is great. Okay, well, first of all, I'll tell you, I'm marrying Taylor. The guy owns half the town. That's true. A hundred percent. I'm marrying that for money. That's it. And Michelle or Miss Patty. I'm kissing Miss Patty. She is awesome. You got to. And I bet she's a good kisser. Oh, yeah. She can write in the market. She's got a past. And I'm killing Michelle happily. I think that's the right.

[00:18:40] You have been sending the knife. I mean, what an act. I'm with you on this one. I like Michelle the most of those three characters. But do you want to kiss or marry him? I don't want to kill him. Oh, all right. Do you like Michelle more than Taylor as a character? Okay, that's a great point. I like Taylor more, but I would never want to be near Taylor. I'm going to kill Taylor. Like, Taylor, I love to watch Taylor

[00:19:10] from a distance on a television screen and laugh at others having to deal with him. If you make me deal with him, I'm going to lose my ever loving mother. But you got to think, like, what are you marrying for? Are you marrying for love or are you marrying for power? And I think if it's a power marriage, Taylor's the move. I'm marrying to be sane and not be near someone who's going to drive me as crazy as Taylor is. So I'm killing Taylor. Right. Now, both of the... I think I'm going to kiss Michelle and I'm going to marry Miss Patty.

[00:19:39] I think. Oh, okay. All right. Let me throw something to the chat. Kiss, marry, kill. Bran, Chad, Dan. Go, Chad. Have some fun. I don't know if I want that in the chat. No, we don't want that. Everybody marrying Chad is going to hurt after a while. I got a couple more Kiss, marry, kills really quickly. All right. A couple more. Are you ready? Yeah, let's do it. Kiss, marry, kill. Luke, Christopher, Max, Medina. Oh, boy. Luke, Chris, Max. Okay. I'll go right here.

[00:20:09] I'm killing Chris. He deserves it. He deserves to be killed. That's the right. Luke or Max. I'm marrying Max. He's well-read. He's got a solid job. Seems like a solid guy. Nice parents. We met them. It's somewhere. Heard of them. You're going to kiss Luke. I'm going to kiss Luke. Yeah, I'm going to turn his hat around. Let me tell you what I'm doing. Go ahead. I'm killing Luke. I'm kissing Christopher and then leaving to show him how it feels. And then I'm marrying Max Medina. I think that's the right answer as well.

[00:20:37] I think Max is clearly the best life partner. In my opinion. Max is a great life partner. Yeah. Christopher is clearly a good kisser. Clearly. If he wasn't good at kissing and other stuff, Lorelai wouldn't keep going back to this guy. Right? True. Yeah. And Luke is... Get out of here. Kill. But Luke doesn't... Chris deserves to be killed. You guys know that I love Luke. Kill, kill, kill. You guys know that I love Luke. But in this scenario... Thank you for backing me up here. I didn't think you'd be with me. I thought you were going to marry Luke for sure. You love Luke. I can't believe you didn't marry Luke. I love Luke. I love Luke.

[00:21:07] But Max Medina is the best life partner. Who came out with this? Holly? These are great. This is fun. Last one of the Kiss, Marry, Kill. We have Lorelai, Suki, and Mrs. Kim. Oh my God. I mean, Mrs. Kim is a conservative, doesn't let her kid listen to rock music. Kill. Kill. I'm with you there. Well, actually, let me make a tougher one for you then, Dan. Kiss, Marry, Kill, Emily, Richard, Mrs. Kim. Oh. Kill them all.

[00:21:34] I don't know if I can play that one, Brian. Holly didn't ask it. Let me stick to the original one. Okay. Kill, Mrs. Kim, and then Lorelai and Suki? Oh, that is tough, man. True. I know. I'm going to kiss Lorelai and marry Suki. I think that's the play. The food alone. The food alone. And she's great fun, great personality. I think that's right. What would you do about the Richard, Emily, Mrs. Kim one? Oh, well, okay. I would kill Mrs. Kim again. Wow.

[00:22:04] That would kill Mrs. Kim. I would kiss Emily, and I think I'd marry Richard. I would flip. If we're playing that one, I would flip Emily, Mrs. Kim. I would kill Emily, no questions asked. Lorelai will literally be a better human being. I will kiss Mrs. Kim, and I will marry Richard. I think Richard would be interesting talking like actuarial tables, insurance stuff. He'd be fun to talk to. Go to the club with him, drink brandy. Whitney wants to know who is actually the worst character at the end of season two.

[00:22:32] And I want to ask, like, there's lots of ways that you can take it. Which is, like, who's, like, the worst person, or who is the character that you dislike the most? Easy for me. Those are different questions, but I'll let you know. The worst morally? It just says worst character, so you can take it how you want to. This is so easy for me. Me too. Rory keeps breaking people's trust. She's asking others to lie. She's corrupting them. You already think Rory's the worst. You think she's the worst character on the show? As of right now, yes. She's 16 years old. I think she's the worst character. I think you know right or wrong by that.

[00:23:02] You and I just had a conversation off air about how. That was off air, Chad. This is Cousin Chad. He's a maniac. About how you got to take time. Hey, Cousin Chad's the only one of us that has teenage kids, so I'm going to take his word. And they are the warth. That's the warth. No, they're great. I'm kidding, kids. Chad, that's an insane take. I can't believe that take. She tried to get her mom to lie for her. She's cheating repeatedly. She's lying to everyone. She's lying about crashing cars. I mean, she's brutal. And she knows better at that age. I hold her in a higher regard. She should know better. Yes.

[00:23:32] Do you have a least favorite character? You mean just like when they're on screen to watch? Yeah, yeah. Like just not one that you're quite... Right now, Lane. Yeah. I heard her storyline gets great, but right now, for what Dan and I have seen, it's just too siloed, too separate, and boring. Yeah. The worst character is Emily Gilmore, and Richard is 1A. And I could... If you argue Richard is worse than Emily, that is fine as well. Those are the two worst. They're the most immoral. They are the most trash human beings, and I don't have any use for them. Why isn't Miss Kim in there with them?

[00:24:02] I think Miss Kim is unfortunately a stereotype in this show. She doesn't have enough screen time to really let you see who she is. She is the Korean that became a Christian, because there's more Christians per capita in South Korea than there are in America, who came here and is now the classic Asian mother with broken English and is cheap and wants a bargain and overparents her kid. That is a stereotype of a human being. Unfortunately, Richard and Emily have been fleshed out more.

[00:24:32] So they're the worst. All right. Okay. These are great questions. Yeah. That's really good. That was a really good question. This mailbag is a lot better than the first mailbag. Yeah. Yeah. There's going to be more to go on. Heidi wants to know, I would like to know how everybody is feeling about the writing. Is it maintaining its quality? Specifically, is the fast talking getting to be too much or a gimmick, or are we enjoying it? I heard they had an acting coach to help them talk quickly, too. Yeah. Wow. Yeah.

[00:24:56] I think that this and Sorkin are very similar to me, in how the dialogue is a character in the show, and that is, for some people, that is a bug, because it's like, people wouldn't talk like this. Right. People don't exactly what to say all the time. For me, it is a feature. It does not wear me down. It invigorates me. I love it. I listen to everything, podcasts and audiobooks, at 1.7 times. This is like the way- Do you really? Yes. This is the way that I want to process information and watch TV.

[00:25:27] I love it. Talk faster. I love it. The Christmas Cousins sound effects really pick up during the 2X. Yeah, that must be interesting. Yeah. So, growing up in the South, are people traditionally talk a little slower? A little slower. That must have driven you crazy. Oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's everybody. Oh, they'll stop mid-sentence. Take a breath. My grandfather did it all the time. Yeah. No, I just, that's just not how I process. Wow. So, yeah. I like it. Chad? What was the question? The writing and how fast we're talking. Is it maintaining its quality?

[00:25:56] Is the fast talking too much? No. I mean, the writing's beautiful. The pace makes sense, because they all do it, so it seems natural. And even Jess has kind of now picked it up, and now he's online with them. Yeah. So, yeah, I think it's great. I will say this. If you think this is fast talking, you should watch Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Even faster. Which goes way faster. Interesting. Yes. And they talk over each other. It's a better show, qualitatively. Really? Heidi also wants to know, are they balancing storylines better? Are they including enough characters for all of you?

[00:26:23] And I think we would all agree, we want more Stars Hollow town. For sure. Yeah. Storylines. But there's only so much, like, just knowing how shows are made, there's only so much you can do. I thought they did such a good job balancing characters in the back half of season two, that when a character like Lane Kim came up after a while, I was kind of disappointed to see them, because I thought they had been balancing everything else so well. And wasting time with her when we could have gotten more, like, good Paris stuff. I'm with you there. Yeah. Yeah. There has been a good balance.

[00:26:51] But yeah, when we, again, Dan and I don't know where someone like Lane is going. We're going, geez, give us more Paris. Give us more Chilton, more Town Hall, something. Yeah. More produce guy. Yeah. More produce guy. We're Jackson. Yeah. Yeah. I would say the back half of season two, I wanted more Paris. Oh, I don't know. Like, we get the great storyline of her coming over. We get a slumber party. Yeah. And then she's kind of MIA until the election thing.

[00:27:17] And it's like, I wanted more of that, oh, is Rory my best friend type storyline. Yeah. Like, those little bits, like, of, did you bring me my mac and cheese? Right. That type of stuff. And then we kind of forget about Paris for a handful of other stuff. Until she has her to be vice president. It's like we can't have Paris and Lane in a... Right, right. And when I say produce guy, I mean Troubadour number two. Two. Yeah, yeah. The guy in the farm market. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course. But you're right. That's true. They didn't really play on that a lot, where their friendship was going. That would have been cool. Although she did have that line with you, because you have to run for vice president.

[00:27:46] Every little girl wants to be vice president. That was funny. Right. While we're talking about townies, do you have a favorite townie? I love Troubadour number two, the guy who had the farm market across the street. I mean... Taylor calls Rapunzel. Kirk is one. If those two get in a fight with each other, it's peak television. Give me Kirk one, though. What about you, Bray? Yeah, Kirk... Kirk's my favorite, probably, of the townspeople. But I also love Taylor. Taylor's just so much fun.

[00:28:16] And if Paris was a part of... Babette. That's Patty. Paris is my favorite character. I just love Paris. But I think if I'm going straight townie, Taylor, to me, is kind of the centerpiece of all of those other characters, like... He's the quintessential townie. Yeah. Yeah. I gotta go Taylor on this one. And when you have Babette and Miss Patty together, I mean, it's just... It's awesome. Come on. You want more, but it's just enough at the same time. It's so good.

[00:28:45] Who's your favorite character, Dan? It's Kirk. Overall. I mean... Oh! Yeah. Favorite character overall is probably Suki or Paris, I would say, at this point. Mm-hmm. I still really like Lorelai. I think Lauren Graham does an amazing job. And I think the plight of her day-to-day life where she... You know, when you have a kid in high school and your parents kind of disown you, you have to choose to be wrong in the public eye a lot. And I think Lauren Graham has the chops to pull that off. Right. And so...

[00:29:14] I also feel like with season two, there was less of the flip-flopping as to who is the mature one in the relationship between Lorelai and Rory. It felt a lot more mother, like traditional mother-daughter this season. Yeah. Correct. To me. Yeah, you're right. Because there were a lot more times where... I would say Lorelai, Suki, Paris are my three favorite characters at this point. I know it's interesting.

[00:29:40] Brandy, your point, that mother-daughter relationship naturally evolved as Rory kind of became a little more rebellious. And Lorelai had to fill that in when she was perfect and just going along with everything. I think she could have been the other type of mother. Yeah. Interesting. Interesting. And I think this might be... Well, I'll do two more. Okay. Two more. Which of the town festivals slash events up until this point would you most like to participate in? Oh. Oh. Oh, I know. Go ahead. It could be any season. It could be any season.

[00:30:09] Founder's Day because of the Founder's Day punch. Come on. Yeah. Founder's Day is a good one. I mean, probably the movie night, if I'm being honest. You like the yearling? No, but just the idea of the town watching a movie together. We get to watch Kirk's short film. Yeah. Yeah. That's fun. Yeah. I'm all for a movie projected on a screen. I'm like, I'm a sucker. What do you want from me? Not the basket. Not the basket. Pretzel basket? Any of them. But yes, even that one. Yeah. Whatever. I feel like it was just Fall Fest or something where there was different booths and different

[00:30:39] things you could do. Okay. Like whatever that, if there's a Fall Fest, give me the Fall Fest. Give me the Fall Fest. Give me the Fall Fest. Right now. I would be into the basket thing if I didn't then have to go on a date with that person. If there's just like baskets that you could bid on and there's a bunch of like goodies in the basket. I'm intrigued by that. I hate. I like a silent auction. Yeah. I like an auction too. It's the combining like a bachelor or bachelorette auction, which whatever, with the silent auction

[00:31:09] basket, combining those two is just like felt like something that I didn't want to be a part of. Just like, you know. I get that. I get that. And then the last one is just overall predictions for season three. Something you're in. I just want to see how it plays out. What do you got? Let me ask you this way. Thing that you are most eager to see what happens. It's for you, it's Dean, right? Oh, Dean and Jess head to head. Yeah. I want to see what happens with them. Yeah. I want to see, does Dean just go at Jess?

[00:31:39] Does Jess take over? And were there like a full on couple? Then what happens to Dean? Yeah. I've got to see the storyline with Dean and Jess for sure. So Rory's going to be a junior or senior in high school next year? Junior, I believe. I believe be senior. She started season one as a sophomore. Okay. I feel like, right? Because she was at Stars Hollow High. She's only 16 though, right? So maybe she was a freshman. I don't know. Is next year her last year of high school? Because if it is, I think that paints pretty clearly what we're going to see. There's going to be a lot of stress about Harvard.

[00:32:09] There's going to be a lot of senior stuff and transitioning of responsibility, which means maybe breaking Dean's heart and choosing Jess to find out maybe that's not best for her either. There's a lot of goodbyes as she goes to college, but somehow she's still clearly a regular on the show. It's not the Gilmore girl. It's the Gilmore girls. Do you know, Brandon? Is she a sophomore or junior? Is she a junior or senior next year? If memory serves, she's going to be a senior next year. Okay. Okay.

[00:32:35] So that's my big prediction is there's going to be a lot of feels surrounding Rory leaving the nest. That is college acceptance, breaking Dean's heart, trying this thing with Jess, even though he's kind of aloof and a bad boy. What that does to Emily and Richard seeing her leave. Do you think she's going to go to Harvard? I think she's going to go to Yale because she can stay on the show that way. It's right close by. Do you think it's going to be a big storyline? I think probably it would be a big story. Flipping from Harvard to Yale? What's the big deal?

[00:33:05] If she's always wanting to go to Harvard or her life, that's the big deal. And Richard and Emily want her to go to Yale. So if she goes to Yale, that would be more of their pull probably. That's right. But also it's going to, they're going to find ways to do this thing where Richard and Emily can still be toxic, but also get to have their moments. And that's the worst. That's the worst timeline. It's just the fundamental worst timeline. If there's actual crap in a cake, enjoying how the cake looks is stupid and that there's crap in that cake.

[00:33:34] So I have no tolerance for that. Very good. All right. Well, we're kicking it off next week. Season three, episode one. Season three, episode one. We're getting to it. I can't wait. Do you want to know anything about it? I may watch The Drive Home. I would like to know the title. Oh, yeah. That's a good idea. Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days. Summer. Got it. Summer's it. I'm going to watch The Drive Home. Lazy, Hazy, Crazy. I hope I have an auto-driving car.

[00:34:03] Get an ice cream cone? Yeah. I hope my car is auto-driving. I'll find out. Well, we'll find out. That's right. So come back next week for that. Until then, keep Gilmore and be merry.
