[00:03:35] Really brings an interesting break into the album Too poppy More like You know Alt country Kind of vibe So yeah, it's fun And this came about because You didn't tell us No In passing You told me Oh, I released a song But you told me Earlier in the year I was gonna release You were writing a song a week? Is that what it was? Or a month? Right Writing a song a week I've read a lot of Yeah Wrote a lot of bad songs And I'm not saying these songs aren't bad

[00:04:03] I'm just saying that they're better than the bad ones Um So I finally had enough where I was like I feel comfortable releasing this Well, I'm proud of you It is It's a scary thing putting your heart out there So I'm proud of you It is And you know I'm not looking to be the next Beyonce Okay I'm just being me Too late, bud Too late The world of the street is You're the next Beyonce That's what we're hearing Yeah Like I just Multiple forces I cannot wait We don't have to wait No, no, no

[00:06:00] Set aside her newscaster aspirations After disastrous audition experience In college And has been happy as a news producer In her small town of Fern, Texas Shout out, Fern That sentence had like ten prepositions Billy Zane Just kidding Billy Kane Her former college crush And audition partner Is a well-known celebrity host In Hollywood

[00:06:28] On the brink of losing his career After an on-camera gaffe Oh, I hope we get to see the gaffe At the advice of his publicist Billy begrudgingly returns to Texas To lay low and spend the holidays With his sister and her family When Meg and Billy cross paths He's happy to see her But her feelings are On the frostier side Can I say that? Please do On the frostier side She's still upset He took advantage of her Failed audition

[00:06:58] Okay A hard return To get the gig himself If we're out of chicken nuggets We're one of the food Nobody knows We're out of chicken nuggets Yeah, like I would say But my wife has a whole plan Meg finds herself seeing Billy more Than she'd like Since his nephew Graham Is in the horse therapy program I gotta be honest I did not see horse therapy coming Oh boy Horse therapy program Did you say horse? Horse therapy? That doesn't sound like All more material to me

[00:07:28] Correctly Merry Christmas Oh, Merry Christmas Best of your ideas Absolutely You excited for the marathon next week? I got a candied yam kringle over here They made it just for me They candied them sweet potatoes Right on up Absolutely They jammed them in that kringle It is carby Oh, boy You know what? Racine as gregle can do no wrong They can do no wrong You're gonna be there next week? I'm gonna be there next week For the marathon Recording some voicemails with Trace? Well, for sure I'll record some voicemails with Trace No problem Yeah All right, thank you, buddy Yeah

[00:07:56] We have the running of the Red Bulls Next week Oh, I'm not sure I'm not gonna We can do it We have a lot We'll do it later Get back to your reading I'm sorry It's not horse What you're saying Is it not horse therapy? It's horse therapy Okay, I can dream Back to you The horse therapy program Her dad runs at their ranch With the annual Reindeer Roundup Holiday Event What does that mean? Boo! Boo! Boo! It's their take on a giddy-up gala It really is

[00:08:26] It's the holiday version of a giddy-up gala It's a reindeer roundup holiday event Coming up Meg's dad gets sidelined And the hits keep coming After an injury And enlists Billy to serve As the host Enlists him to serve In the hosting duties Yes Much to Meg Much to Meg With the reindeer roundup Just days away Meg teaches Billy basic riding And roping skills To get him ready For the host duties In the process They slowly reconnect

[00:08:56] And Meg sees There's more to him Than Hollywood glitz As their connection grows Each of them Each of them helps Give the other The courage To step outside The comfort zone And find new joy And possibly In unexpected ways Possibly love Yeah Wow I'm exhausted I'm so tired Dostoyevsky wrote that They're too long This is too Paid by the word Yeah Guys

[00:09:25] Just pull them I know It's not you I know We're not blaming you I don't blame you No You're doing a great job You have to get through them And read them out loud And good And I'm not good at reading You're so proud of you buddy Brian Yeah The I feel like Authentic If you're gonna go for An authentic cowboy feel And farm feel This is a good cast for that I feel like it'll feel Fun

[00:09:55] Nice I don't Just like What are you doing right now? It's so long There's so much information There's too much information You think this cow gives Authentic cowboy? Yeah Okay I think I think Luke McFarlane On a ranch Is gonna be great Amy Acker I like Amy Acker a lot I bet he's gonna look Great in a cowboy hat It's gonna work So There's just so much information I'm so confused I don't know I'm not excited about it Because there's just too much But I'll go three rights In the middle To start this off And I feel safe Mark me safe Patrick

[00:10:24] Patrick's big on safety That's right Yeah I'm intrigued I'm intrigued by this movie A lot of words And it's easy To Jax's point last week Jax said a great thing And just kind of started Tuning out the synopsis Yeah And we're just going off Vibes here General idea of the movie I like I really like this cast I'm high on it I'm going four We're sticking with eggnogs Right We can't switch it up We're going eggnogs Four nogs We've made a lot of eggnogs We've made a lot of eggnogs Four eggnogs for me Patrick This is gonna be very simple

[00:10:53] Luke McFarlane Equals cream So I'm giving it I'm giving it one Eggnog and a cream One eggnog and a cream Fair enough my friend Jax So I'm really interested In all the stuff That comes before The bulk of the movie Like I'm interested That they auditioned together And that they were That she gave up Her ass That'll be done In like five minutes Exactly His little gaff

[00:11:23] Yeah That sounds awesome And I really like Amy Acker Sarah Canning Of course Luke McFarlane I really don't go in For cowboy stuff But I think because of this That's something you need to know About Jax up front Right off rep Yeah She does not go in On cowboy stuff I mean I've got like a cowboy hat And cowboy boots So like invite me to your parties But like that's not what I'm gonna I'm not I would never really choose To watch a movie called My Christmas Cowboy However

[00:11:53] Really strong cast So I am gonna give this A three and a half eggnog A three and a half eggnog Okay Great Alonzo Yeah I mean Look Luke McFarland Is my Was my gateway drug To these movies In a lot of ways You know Christmas Land And The Mistletoe Promise You know Like these are Ones that really Kind of got me into it My first appearance On this show Was to talk about A shoe addict's Christmas So you know That is true

[00:12:21] That carries a lot of weight For me That he's in this Adore Amy Acker Crashing through the snow One of my absolute favorite Hallmark movies The idea of them As a couple Seems fun Sarah Canning There to give Side eye and commentary Also here for that The idea that McFarland Isn't a cowboy And has to sort of Learn how to do this stuff So I think That'll be more convincing Than when he played A country singer That time Yeah So yeah

[00:12:49] The plot synopsis Is detrop But if we put that aside And just look at the Who's in it And what the relationships are Yeah I'd say a solid Four nogs for me Solid four nogs Dan Yeah The synopsis really took The wind out of my sails Here It was an all time bad What was it Redneck round Reindeer round Reindeer round Not redneck round Reindeer round Like I just I believe I Yeah I really like All three of these leads A ton And the idea

[00:13:19] Of an on air gaff I think is funny Hallmark won't make it funny Don't get me wrong It won't be good in the movie But a lot of this The idea is good The synopsis made me feel Like I never wanted To see the movie And that took a little bit Out of it for me I'm going to write down The middle Two and a half nogs I wish the synopsis Weren't there I wish we I long for the old days When it's like a sentence And a half Of such and such Meets in a small town And due to an Unforeseen set of Circumstances They're left to do

[00:13:48] The cookie crawl By themselves And you're like What is a cookie You don't get anything That's what I want Out of my synopsis Yeah I get that I get that I don't know why The pictures aren't showing Oh there they are Okay it's bad I just had to go over To the tab I just had to go over To the tab And then it would show up Up next Oh this is a big weekend Big week Yeah The nights before Christmas Is a starring one Tyler Hines And Lacey J. Mailey What's the J stand for?

[00:14:18] Jolly Jolly Jolly Jolly One Christmas Eve Marty Marty Who is that? It's Marty Is that Jimmy Stewart Doing Doc From Back to the Future? That's exactly right Great Wow Thank you for 1.21 Jolly Thanks for seeing What I was putting Marty Whose life Is in a It's your kids Marty I actually really like this Whose life Is in a bit Of a rut Finds himself

[00:14:48] Wishing he had More time Don't we all? Amen Thanks to some Holiday magic He awakes The next morning To discover It's Christmas Eve It's Christmas Eve Again Oh boy We're going to see that movie Again Confused at first Marty learns To embrace His new normal And begins To truly appreciate The sights Sounds And people Of New York City That previously Went unnoticed He didn't even notice The people In New York City

[00:15:17] With this gift Of time He expands His world By learning How to play A new instrument Picking up New languages And reading Every single book Interesting Every single one Of them That's crazy How Read all the books But when That's crazy But when Marty meets Chloe A newly Out of work Journalist Having a tough Day He falls Hard For her

[00:15:47] The only Problem is That when The morning Of December 24th Comes once again She doesn't Know who he Is As the Christmas Eve's Continue to Repeat themselves Marty makes It his Mission To win Her Over And In the Process In the Process Figure Out What he Needs to Do To finally Make his Way to Christmas Day Hopefully

[00:16:16] With Chloe By his Side Alrighty Now Russell Hangline Wrote it We know That Bri Guy What do you Think about This one Yeah This sounds Great This sounds Groundhog Day Ish I would Say It is Full Groundhog It's not Groundhog Ish This is Full Groundhog So We're Doing That Gonna Be Fun So I'm Gonna Go You know I'm Gonna Go Four and A half Nogs On this One Here All right Yeah

[00:16:46] Hold my Cream You're Gonna

[00:17:34] Very Patrick? Yeah, so Tyler Hines I just think of one of the brothers in the Three Wise Baby movies. Of course, yes. So I'm glad he's out of that and we're done with that. Like, we're done with that, right? We're done with that. So exciting. But you expect me to believe that Tyler Hines reads all the books? I don't think so, honey.

[00:18:04] Audio books, maybe? Man, shots fired. How long is he? That's so long. I mean, you could not, unless there are no books being released because it's Christmas Eve or whatever, you could eventually do it. Years and years and years and years. That's crazy. What is the Groundhog Day movies we've seen? There's so many of them, right? What's the longest Palm Springs lasts forever. Palm Springs is probably the one that seems to be the longest period of time.

[00:18:33] Although, somebody did calculate how long Bill Murray is in the loop in Groundhog Day and it's also pretty staggering. Wow. Okay, well, I guess... Round and round, they do it like, what, seven or eight times? Yeah, it's a week, right? Yeah. It's a good use of time. And I'm not saying that Tyler is illiterate and can't read, just to be clear. I just don't think you would read all the books. Yeah. So for that, I think I'm going to go three and I'll cream it for Tyler. Sure. I'm excited. Very good.

[00:19:03] Jax? I love rom-coms and holiday movies set in New York City. That would make it... That would make it higher for me if I thought that they were really going to give me the New York City feel. And filmed where, Jax? Yeah, I was about to say. I'm going to say, though, I'm going to give it a three and a half because I do like the premise that they're at least setting it in New York instead of giving us New York for the first five minutes and then taking me somewhere that I don't want to go.

[00:19:33] I hope that this movie is set in that one lot that they've used for a handful of movies in over the past few years. That is their New York lot that I really like. It's got a really good look to it. So I hope that it's set there. Of all the New York lots. That would be the best one. It's better than when they go to Canada and they just use like Canada as New York. Like when they have this really... It's better than when they do that. Along. Back when I used to work as a temp and they would send me to work at different movie studios in Los Angeles,

[00:20:02] I made it my goal to eat my sack lunch on every New York street in Los Angeles. I love it. So cool. And I think I got them all. Yeah, I'm going to be a Daniel here and temper my expectations because yes, it's the Tyler movie. It's a Russell Hainline movie. It's a fun premise. But they got the perfect Groundhog Day movie already. You know, they made Round and Round. Yeah. And so it's like they've got that to live up to, not to mention

[00:20:31] actual Groundhog Day. So I'm going to scale back my enthusiasm and hope that I am... will look back and be like, what was I thinking? So I'll say three Nogs for this. Yeah. Going three Nogs. So I think the only way this movie suffers is if we compare it to Round and Round and I think it will draw comparisons and that's unfortunate. Round and Round's like the best they've ever done. I do love a time loop movie. I love a New York City Christmas movie. I don't know if Tyler Hines is who I would choose

[00:21:00] for like a comedic time loop movie premise. I think he's wonderful. I want to hear him speak foreign languages. Well, yeah. But I also think that maybe like he was an Unexpected Christmas which is more heavy on the calm and he did a great job with that. There's a lot of heavy lifting he's going to have to do. I'm really excited to see how he does this. I think Lacey J. Mailey is really underrated in these movies. There's a lot to really like here including Russell Hainline writing the script. If you're not excited about this one then I don't know why you're watching the movies. I'm a little bit reticent to go five and a cream

[00:21:30] because I do think that there's some obvious comps to Round and Round but there's no doubt this is a top three most excited for me. So it's four and a cream. Four and a cream. Very good. How about that? All right. On to the next the next evening we have Mistletoe and Mimosas starring one Tamara Mowry-Housley and Christopher Palaha also written by Russell Hainline It's Russell Hainline Weekend. That's right.

[00:21:59] Claire Bennett is a successful business consultant in Manhattan who unexpectedly inherits her beloved Uncle Lou's Christmas themed bar. Heck yeah. The tipsy reindeer. Another New York movie. In upstate New York. It's upstate New York. When she returns Claire discovers the bar comes with high debt. Oh Uncle Lou. Her Uncle Lou was overly generous to people in town while the booming

[00:22:29] business of Algorithm an upscale and trendy new club added insult to injury. That's a great I love that. is Algorithm? That's so funny. Algy Rhythms. New York's club. She intends to turn things around before Christmas and sell to someone who will preserve her uncle's legacy and then return to her life in the city. Claire meets Zach Algorithm's part owner and manager who tells her

[00:22:59] they want to buy the tipsy reindeer so they can expand. Claire bristles at that proposition and they agree to face off in a 12 days of Christmas inspired series of festive events to see who can bring in the most business. I don't know how they got there from that but okay. If Claire wins Zach will use his contacts to find the right buyer but if Zach emerges victorious Claire agrees to consider Algorithm's offer. I'll consider it. I will consider it.

[00:23:29] If you beat me I'll consider it. What an agreement. As they compete over the course of the 12 days their attraction is undeniable. Rivalry leads to romance and the two are faced with figuring out how their shifting priorities might somehow lead them down the same road together. Okay. Right guy. Awfully complicated plot to get these two to just make out already. Like that's what we're getting out here. I mean let's just get to it. So I think

[00:23:59] a Christmas theme bar in New York could be fun even though it's upstate Bill's country that's either here nor there it's still going to be fun. Algorithm how's that going to like a club an upscale club in upstate New York. Yeah those are big right? I don't know. I don't know. That's the vibe of Buffalo. I don't know about that thriving. So this will be fun. I'm going to go four and a half Nogs still holding on my crazy team. Wow. Wow. I really like this idea. I think this is very fun.

[00:24:30] I love Chris. I love Tamara. When I heard about this pairing I was I said oh interesting. I'm intrigued by this but then I saw the video that they posted where they're walking together and Chris is wearing a turtleneck and I said I am all the way in on this movie all the way in on turtleneck Chris which is what I changed his name to in my phone. I am going legally. I am going five and back to back cream. What are you doing? Falling on this movie. I'm pumped. What a weekend.

[00:25:00] This is the weekend I've got circled. The Luke McFarlane movie. The Tyler Hines movie. The Palaha movie. Are you kidding me? Back to back. I love how hard you ride for your boys. I ride with my boys. Okay. Sunday's for the boys. For me it's Sunday because it's full of Osmond. That's right. Turtleneck Chris. As you call him. Patrick. Controversial for me because you know Lifetime has Tia so you know I got a

[00:25:30] ride for Tia and let Hallmark have Tamara so you know I know they're twins and they look the same but you know they're different people so don't forget. This movie sounds interesting. I like the bar idea. I think it would be more fun if we just did like a bottomless mimosa and let Tamara and Christopher Palaha just sit at the table and just like be there for two hours and see what happens after. You know what I'm saying? Like the scene where

[00:25:59] you meet Karen Allen in Raiders of the Lost Ark like whoever collapses. That's right. Yeah. There you go. There you go. So I don't think we're going to get that. So for me this is just a two. Just a two. Two. Word on the street is bottomless mosey Patrick's nickname in college. I can't do those anymore but let me tell you I've been to many. Yeah. Been to many. Jax. This looks really cute. I do love Tamara although not quite as

[00:26:29] much as I love Tia. Sure. It's great. And Palaha is great. I think this is going to be a really cute pairing. I think it's going to be a fun movie. I'm going to go ahead and give this a three and a half. It would have been a little higher if it was in the city instead of upstate. Nothing wrong with upstate. Nothing wrong with upstate. Shut up. But I'm going to give it a three and a half. Fair enough. Alonzo. Yeah. I don't know.

[00:26:59] I'm kind of back and forth here. Like, yeah, Palaha Tamara know how to do this kind of thing and do it well. I am curious to see what their chemistry is like together. Hainline knows how to write this stuff. But, you know, this is such a it's a Christmas ranch. Like who goes to the tipsy reindeer in April? You know, I don't I can understand being a bar that leans into the holidays. But if you make that your year round brand, no wonder you're deep in debt. You know, you and I Alonzo, I believe is the only ones propping

[00:27:28] that joint up. Exactly. We'd be having a great time. So, yeah, I guess I'm a two and a half right down the middle. All right. Yeah. So this is interesting because I'm with you brain. When I heard the pairing, I was like, I don't know about this pairing. And I did not see the video of Chris walking in the turtleneck. There's a still shot we saw of Chris in the turtleneck. Maybe that would have swayed me. I will say this. Obviously, Chris does they look great together. They look great together. They do. Tamara having a

[00:27:58] moment. She just released another Haunted Harmonies. She's in this and they just announced she's in season two of Scrubs, which is I don't know how much, but she's in there. I don't know if it's recurring or regular or what, but she's really doing things. I don't know, man. If these were two actors I never heard of in this movie, I probably would be really down on this movie. But Chris and Tamara make up for that. Specifically, Chris, I'll also go two and a half right down the middle. Cream? No. No.

[00:28:28] He's not creaming. No. All right. No. You'll be getting a text from him. Let's go to our next one. My preview is not for sale. That's not what you told. I won't get into it. Our holiday playbook. That's heading into our next weekend, the weekend before Thanksgiving, I believe. No. We have. What is this picture? Spicy. I don't know. What is she holding?

[00:28:59] Hitting something? Holding something? What's he doing? I don't know what's going on in that picture. They're going to add it in post. They're going to add it in post. It looks like he's weird right now. It looks like maybe he's trying to put a necklace on or something. Is she supposed to have a drink in her hand? I don't know what's happening here, but it's a disaster. Is that a corsage? This is an absolute disaster. Can we zoom in on this? Is there a microphone in her hand? Is this an AI thing? Do they have like eight

[00:29:29] fingers? Stop letting me do it. Stop letting me do it. Sorry. All right. Our holiday playbook. This is Taylor Cole and Charles Michael Davis. Three names. You got to love it. Friday, November 20th. When Lexi Bell returns home for the holidays. I love it when you just shake your head. Yes. She faces a beloved family tradition she'd rather avoid. Oh, yeah. You know it. You love it. The fiercely competitive Bell Bowl. Oh, yeah. An annual Christmas flag

[00:29:58] football showdown between her father and uncle that has fueled decades of sibling rivalry. But when an injury sidelines her brother-in-law, it looks like Lexi's family's losing streak will remain unbroken. To give them a fighting chance, she strikes a deal with Eddie, a former local football star turned teacher. Another male teacher. Another man teacher. Crazy. Lexi will use her baking know-how to help Eddie best her brother in their annual

[00:30:28] bake-off if he'll pose as her boyfriend, fake relationship, and meet the eligibility requirement to play on their team. As they navigate each other's festive family gatherings, traditions, and celebrations, what started as a transactional partnership begins to become something more as Lexi and Eddie find themselves feeling less and less like their romantic relationship is just pretend.

[00:30:56] The two clans, I wish they didn't, battle it out on the field, but regardless of who takes home the trophy, Lexi may have already won at love. What a synopsis. My goodness. What'd you find out about that picture, Dan? So I did get a close-up here, and it looks like these are cookies, but it also looks like Taylor Cole's hand is closed, and the cookies are behind the hand like they've been added in post. That's crazy. Maybe she's a magician. And then I don't know what this hand is doing. This is the weirdest picture.

[00:31:25] The more you zoom in, the more questions you get. He's supposed to be holding something else maybe, and he's not. And he's not. His left hand is an absolute mystery. It's just floating like this. Wild. Interesting. Yeah. This was one of the ones that stood out to me early on as not being that psyched about it, mostly because of the flag football of it all. I was into the flag football. I'm wondering how long can you stretch this out, a flag football game? The picture, as ridiculous as it is,

[00:31:55] it's intriguing to me. They look just going off vibes. It looks like they have really good chemistry, and so I think it'll be fun to watch them together. So I'm going to give this the benefit of the doubt. I'm going to go three eggnogs on this one. Three. Yeah. I mean, part of me wants to cream this one for my buddy Ryan, who's not here because, you know, he loves a Taylor culture, but I'm not going to, but I will go three right down the middle for this one. Patrick. Charles, Michael Davis. Charles, Michael Davis. Charles, Michael Davis. Charles, Michael Davis.

[00:32:25] Charles, Michael Davis. Charles, Michael Davis. Charles, Michael Davis. Now put your hands up. Yeah. So this guy is so fine. Look at this. Look at this. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. I know. I was like, let me bring this back because look at that. It's been too long. We made an episode and a half of this. I know. Most of the hunks we've already seen shirtless, but we haven't seen him shirtless. So now we have. Now we have. And you can see that on the on the video video.

[00:32:55] Not for audio. Sorry about that. Sorry. So for that picture didn't come through the audio. I know. No. Use your imagination. Envision a shirtless man. Yeah. And I'm going to go three for that. Three for that. Jax. Look, Bran, the way you ride for your boys, I ride for my girls because these movies are actually about them. Let us not forget.

[00:33:22] So I'm going to give four for my girl Taylor and I'm going to cream her. Whoa. Can't blame me there. She's in one movie with Taylor Cole and all of a sudden. No, but this doesn't look like a great pairing. Honestly, I think they look like they have really great chemistry. So I think she's holding two cookies toward herself and he's holding two cookies toward himself. What about the left hand? What about the left? The left hand is just drooping. It's like it's it's. Yeah. I don't know what's happening there.

[00:33:52] These both of these families seem like they need to calm down with the competitions. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Like this is supposed to be a season of joy and togetherness not like I'm going to destroy you at the family competition is leading one of the members to be in a fake relationship. Start asking some questions about what's even happening here. So, yeah, I guess I'll give this to one for the flag football and one for the bake off. Perfect. Very good. Good. Two good reasons.

[00:34:22] Two hander. I got that sinking feeling when listening to this synopsis and it's nothing to do with this movie. It's I don't know if this is halfway. I don't know if we're halfway, but this feels like the moment where I'm going to be watching these movies and going. How many more of these do we have to do? That's what this feels like. If this was in the first weekend brand and it was a fake relationship trope with Taylor Cole, I would probably be higher.

[00:34:51] But I have already been just absolutely just ground to dust by these movies. There's too many in a weekend every weekend, too many new ones. And I'm just over it. I'm done. I'm done with the preview episode. I'm done with the movies. I'm done with the giant long synopses. I'm sorry. I'm not sorry. Zero. All right. On to the next one. Just because you're done doesn't mean we are. That gives us the Christmas and

[00:35:19] Blue Dog Valley Band starring Aaron Cale and Andrew Walker Saturday, November 21st. On set, on set veterinarian Goldie McKenzie. That's a great name. Goldie McKenzie. Thank you. Leaves the glamour of Hollywood behind to buy a family run veterinarian clinic to tight knit Blue Dog Valley. Arriving just in time for the town's cherished Christmas season.

[00:35:48] It's the town's cherished Christmas season. Everybody, every other town's cherished. When Dr. Gable, the clinic's longtime owner, unexpectedly ends up out of town. Wow. Goldie is hosted by his handsome son, Cohen, the black sheep of the family. Yeah. Look at Andrew Walker. Yeah. Classic black sheep of the family, Andrew Walker. Yeah. Of the family because he decided to forego their unexpected. Their expectation. I'm sorry. Their expectation of becoming a vet.

[00:36:18] Man, that's a wild household. It's a wild household that put such a like a premium on you being an animal doctor that they believe you're a black sheep if you don't follow in the footsteps of the family. That is crazy. Hey, as the one non-MD son in a family of seven, I'm feeling seen right now. You hear about it with doctors, but typically people that become animal doctors love animals, not because their family expects it. Well, but if they if they

[00:36:46] clearly has a clinic. So like, you know, you want the kids to keep the business going. I don't know, man. Vets tend to not. Danny wrong here. OK. All right. What are you saying, guys? What are you saying? Cohen and Goldie get up on the wrong foot. But when the folks at Blue Dog Valley cold shoulder, quote unquote, the newcomer, Cohen teams up with Goldie to win over even the frostiest of community members. The second use of the word frosty. What are we doing? Goldie is also aided by the

[00:37:16] mysterious canine she dubs Blue. Clever. Whose spontaneous appearances always seem to guide Goldie. So the town is Blue Dog Valley. She names the one dog she meets Blue and she names the dog. Yeah, that's right. OK. All right. Me and you and a dog named Blue. That's right. To guide Goldie to exactly where she needs to be. As Goldie works hard to prove herself to the townspeople when to the top when fury and Christmas fury. Furry.

[00:37:46] With fury and with fury of a thousand blues. You can see my confusion. And Christmas crisis arise. Boy, should we just call it? He has made a meal of this sentence. What did I say about this? Crises. Plural. Furry crisis and a Christmas crisis. Furry and Christmas crisis. I assume that crises, I've never actually seen the word before. May I? Can I just hop in? Go ahead. You got to get out of here today.

[00:38:17] As Goldie works hard to prove herself to the townspeople when furry and Christmas crises arise, she finds herself pulled towards the very heart of her newfound home and a certain black sheep. The new hound farm too. Named Blue. Good man. Named Blue. Yeah. So how do you spell crisis? C-R-I-S-I-S. Crisis. So the difference is, OK. That's how I would have assumed that. I would have been wrong. You would be wrong. Yeah, that's right. That's too similar.

[00:38:47] It was a furry crisis. No one asked me when they were coming up with this building. Rig was telling me about a furry crisis earlier, but I think it was a separate thing. They were all airline pilots. You spoke on all of her. Really good a lot. Brian. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah. I mean, yeah. It doesn't matter what they're doing or what the town or the dog is called or whether it's it's going to be great. This is four and a half. I'm going to go five eggnogs.

[00:39:17] Yeah. Full boat. Fill me up. Top me off. Fill him up. Five nogs. This is going to be a blast. Yeah. Bad synopsis. Dynamite pairing. This is going to be real good. I'm going for Patrick. Wow. There's never been a Hallmark dog movie that I've liked. And this sounds like it has a lot of dogs in there. I can't believe Andrew Walker is doing a dog movie. This is has he fallen this far that we need to rely on dogs to make his movies adorable. Wow.

[00:39:47] Is this what we're coming to take from Patrick? I'm just saying, like, I love Andrew Walker. We all know that, you know, we had a moment, but a dog movie, Andrew, we can't we can't be doing dog. He's better than that is what you're saying. Yes. Yes. You know, he's the dog. He's the golden retriever energy. Right. I want Andrew to hear this just on just in a vacuum and be like, we have a moment. I'm going to be like, I love that. That's crazy. Yeah. Jack. Oh, wait. Yeah.

[00:40:18] For me, it's going to be a one. One. Wow. All right. After that moment, you have one for the moment. You know what I mean? Jack. Yeah. Um, I obviously love Erin Cahill. This is a pairing that we have been waiting for for a long time. I'm excited to see her with the little puppies. Although Patrick, I am like you that I'm not usually super jazzed about the dog movies, but I think maybe this one since she's a vet, we'll see all sorts of different little critters.

[00:40:47] So I'm going to go ahead and do four eggnogs and I'm going to cream this one. Wow. Listen, she rides with a girl. She said that. I feel like I have to after you just were like, yeah, my dogs. That's right. Fair. My dog. Alonzo. I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of like you live in a small town, you have a pet and a new veterinarian comes in town and you blow her off. I don't understand. Like, how dare you?

[00:41:17] Who's mean to the new vet? I think it's more that she's new in general and not about her being a vet. And the new vet who looks like Aaron Cahill, let's not forget. But I will say Aaron Cahill plus Andrew Walker plus Doggies three and a half. Three and a half. Fair. Dan? Yeah, it's a tough premise. Like, like the idea that his family shunned him because he didn't follow in the footsteps to be a veterinarian still doesn't sit right with me. The new new in town vet being

[00:41:46] shunned for being new in town, even though you have, I don't know, the two leads are great and you know they will be great together. Like, you see this pairing and you don't even need to hear about the movie. You know the pairing is good. You know it. So there's that. But boy, long way to go here. I'm very skeptical of this movie. Give me two. All right. What did Alonzo say? Three and a half. Three and a half. Got it. All right. Let's take a break. We'll come back. We'll get to some more movies here on Take the Hallmark.

[00:42:24] You know, Brian, not that we were doing this, but if we were doing this all in one day, like a marathon preview episode, we would have just finished half of the movie. All right. Very good. I feel good about that. Great. Me too. Yeah. We're cresting over the hill. Jack's had more my reaction. And then she heard somebody say feel good about it and she was yes and it. She was like, no, I do too. Yeah. No, that's my feelings exactly. We're good. We're good. We're good.

[00:42:59] Calm down. Starring Rachel Lee Cook. I trust her with my life. You can throw her, right? Owen Yeoman. It's got to be Yeoman, right? I don't know. Owen Yeoman. That's Owen Yeoman. Owen Yeoman. Nice to meet you. Well, it could be a Wayne. I mean, it's O-W-A-I-N. It could be. Oh, Wayne Yeoman. We're in Wales, y'all. And Stephen Hagen. We were at, we were in Copenhagen.

[00:43:26] Anyway, the one thing identical twins, quiet and bookish Abigail and globetrotting event planner Charlie can agree on is that this first Christmas without their mom will be difficult. That's the one thing they can agree on. When they unexpectedly get a last minute chance to travel to Wales and spend a week running the story shop and Airbnb slash bookshop in Hay-on-Y. I, what? Hay-on-Way? Hay-on-Way.

[00:43:55] It's pretty got a rhyme, right? They jump at the opportunity. Abigail is particularly excited given the town's role as the backdrop of the best-selling Winterton Chronicles, her all-time favorite Regency holiday romance. Upon arrival, Abigail dives into, what? What did I do this time? You're fine. You're doing great. You guys can't laugh every time I mess up or we'll be here all day. It's just the amount of, it's not you. It's so much stuff. You could have stopped right there.

[00:44:25] You know, like I would have been fine right there. We're not going to. Upon arrival, Abigail, who we actually have even more than the first paragraph, Abigail dives into setting up the bookshop's window display with the help of their friendly next door barista Tom, who is also a fan of the Winterton Chronicles. Meanwhile, Charlie meets the dashing Lord Reese, the great nephew of Evelyn Kalen, who wrote the book series. Wow. Abigail is charmed by a series

[00:44:54] of thoughtful Christmas ornaments she assumes are for Reese, but are actually from Tom. While Charlie and Reese grow closer as they help plan the Winterton Ball at Reese Castle, mistaken identities lead to a series of merry mix-ups as Reese and Tom woo the sisters unaware they are twins. On the night of the ball, however, the sisters' double secret is discovered. As the truth is unwrapped, the criss-crossed lovers

[00:45:24] discover that the perfect holiday happy ending isn't always by the book. I just, before we get going, whoever made the call to funnel these synopses through AI needs to be fired at Hallmark. I don't know what, like, please hear me unmistakably, this decision was a train wreck. You tripled the length of it. You said all plot stuff, but didn't give us nearly as much intrigue about this movie. A person did not write these. They're terrible.

[00:45:54] Don't do it again. Please. Sorry. Back to you, Brian. Brian. Yeah. They had me until we got to the planning, the event planning of it all. That is tricky, though. Like, if you don't know they're twins and you're into somebody and you find out they're a twin, what are you, that's a tough situation. Yeah. I've never been in that situation. I can imagine that stuff. I, you know, I think it sounded like you were in it right now. This is a tough situation. What would you guys do?

[00:46:24] Like, not for me, but ask for a friend. If you were in this spot. What would you guys even do? Like, seriously. Part of me wants to go five and a cream and I'm going to go with that. Even though That's the part that you're going with. I'm going to go with that part. I'm not going to question it. Full speed ahead. Five eggnogs and a cream. Um, this movie made me want to watch the Princess Switch movies on Netflix. So I might go do that and then come and watch this and also give it a five. Uh, Patrick. You know, there's a long line of actresses

[00:46:54] who have played twins. Uh, Hayley Mills, Lindsay Lohan, Vanessa Hutchins, Elizabeth Montgomery, Candace Cameron. Just off the top of my head here. Julian. Yeah, exactly. And does Rachel Lee Cook have the gravitas to do that? Does she? I, I think she does. I don't know. I think so. In a Hallmark Christmas movie? Yeah. Okay.

[00:47:24] CCB did it in a Hallmark Christmas movie. She did? Yeah. Did I come up for Christmas? That's what I'm going to be talking about. Switch for Christmas, yeah. Okay. Well, if CCB did it, then Rachel Lee Cook can definitely do it. we'll get five, five eggnogs. Yeah. We love, we love twins. We love twins played by one person. How do they do it? It's amazing. What a pivot. Jack? What a pivot. Yeah, I remember in 2017 interviewing, uh,

[00:47:53] Candace Cameron Bure about Switched, uh, Switched for Christmas. Yeah. And being like, how did you create, you know, two distinctly different characters? And she's just kind of like, I didn't. And she, she just was like, whatever about it. And I remember feeling so sad because I was like, oh, I get to talk to actors about their process. And it turns out some of them don't really have a process. Um, and I am excited. I made them both boring. I just did the same thing

[00:48:22] and they told me who I was. I'm excited to see Rachel Lee Cook do this. I'm going to go ahead and give it a five as well. As an actor, I think it's so cool to watch actors. Like you said, Patrick, like one person playing twins. Let's see what it is. I don't even know how it will turn out, but I am intrigued. Alonzo? Yeah. I mean, Rachel Lee Cook is my forever Josie. Um, and so seeing her play twins would be, you know,

[00:48:51] seeing her play twins would be fun. I think Wales is a cool setting for a Christmas movie. We haven't seen one of those from Hallmark. And so, yeah, four. Four. What did Jax give it? Jax, what did you give it? Five. Five. Got it. Very good. Yeah. So, uh, Rachel Lee Cook playing twins. I mean, the Princess Switch movies have no right to be good at all. And Vanessa Hudgens makes them great. Like, they are so silly and so stupid, but they're a blast. And this movie,

[00:49:21] in the first paragraph of the synopsis, I was like, Rachel Lee Cook playing twins. This is, we finally have a Hallmark actor trying to play twins and maybe can do it successfully. Five and a cream minus one for the party planning. Four and a cream. Four and a cream. Yes. Very good. Um, moving right along. That gets us to Merry Thanksgiving week, everybody. We've arrived. Large batch of movies in one week. Let's go for it.

[00:49:51] Christmas Delivered. Oh, they're getting rid of another liver. Unbelievable. Starring Autumn Reeser, Wes Brown. Is it a sequel? No. This is Thursday. This is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving night. Thanksgiving night. One new movie. Thanksgiving night. Determined to unwind from the stresses and loneliness of her everyday life. Good Lord. What a sad sentence. Kimberly Carr travels to Canada to spend Christmas with her grandmother, Jojo, at their beautiful, cozy farmhouse.

[00:50:21] Kimberly's plans for restoring, uh, for a rest, or restorative. Fun. Holiday are turned upside down when she crosses paths with Ben Chambers, owner of a local tree farm and new Christmas tree delivery app called Tree Bin. Tree Bin? Terrible. It was originally going to be called Tree Burr, but apparently they couldn't get Uber to sign off on it. Uh, man. I'm not kidding. That's an actual thing. Yes. Tree Bin. Although they signed off on Stuber, so God knows.

[00:50:51] Wow, and that movie rules. Oh, sorry. Ben's a dreamer who never looks before he leaps while Kimberly is a methodical. Can I just stop you and get us all give zeros? Can we do that now? Kimberly's methodical and lives her life based on practicality. The two couldn't be more different. But when Bin's app is plagued by an onslaught of issues, Kimberly uses her tech expertise to help him out and ensure that no one in town is deprived of a Christmas tree, even though she isn't convinced

[00:51:20] of the need for the app. That's all of us. That's all of us. As they team up to deliver the trees in his red truck, yeah, red truck, Kimberly and Ben discover, thank you, that was the correct response, discover that they may have more in common than they realized. In the process, Kimberly begins to question if she's truly happy with her life. The first sentence says she's not, so I would say no. If she's ready for a change

[00:51:50] and just maybe ready for romance. I hate it. I hate everything about it. Brian? If this was played for like, he's super into his app and he's delusional and she's just like, I like him, I'm going to help him, but he's crazy. Poor buddy. Would be funny. That's not what's happening. That's not what they're going to do. They should, but that would be too much. Oh man, I don't know what to do here. It's a bad movie. I know, but there's a chance that this is fun. you're right. And Otto Reeser

[00:52:19] and Wes Brown together, I'm going to go through right down the middle. It's ridiculous. Yeah, this pairing's dynamite. I actually think that this movie, it depends. If this is a funny movie, which it could be, I think this movie would be great. So I'm going to go three and a half and hope that it's a really funny movie. Patrick? I like that it's set in Canada. That's kind of different, right? Like we're not pretending. But then the tree farmer played by an American from the South, which is a crazy, like bizarro world of what we normally do

[00:52:49] in these movies. So they do it at tree farm. So, you know, and apps on these, I thought we were done with apps and all that stuff like last year. We haven't really been seeing the apps come back, but they're back. So I'm going to go two and a half because the Thanksgiving movie is usually not the best of the week. That's right. We have, they're going to put the worst movie on Thanksgiving night because less people are going to watch it. Yeah. What's interesting is no Wednesday movie.

[00:53:19] They've done Wednesday in the past. Yeah, those were the real stinkers. Yeah, so this is interesting. Jax? Not interested in this premise at all. However, I really like Autumn Reeser. I've gotten to see her on stage recently and I think she is such a delight. I just adore her. I like her in all these movies. I think that the movie itself, maybe yes, maybe no, but because of her I'm going to give it a three. Alonzo? Yeah, I'm here for the Reeser-Brown

[00:53:49] pairing and I'm here for the obviously it's going to be wintry and there's going to be a ton of trees Canadian wilderness winter Christmas time aspects. Yeah, hopefully we get real snow if you're telling me it's Canada, right? Yeah, I can't, I mean like the clip that Hallmark already released, they like get into a carriage, you know, a sleigh. So, yeah, I'm a three on this. Okay. Dan? Yeah, I don't know if I've ever seen a good Hallmark movie, Christmas movie

[00:54:19] where the lead is a Christmas tree farmer and we've seen a boatload of them. For crazy? I've not seen for crazy, I don't believe. Oh, okay. We'll watch it next year during Christmas. Yeah, I don't, I don't think I've seen for crazy. I don't think it's got, it's got one of the who's line guys in it. It is. Colin Mochrie. Oh, you know, Ryan Stiles. You have seen it. I have? I don't know why, maybe I'm, I know I've seen it, so maybe that's why. Is he a mean boss? Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. He's trying to get the,

[00:54:48] he's got the department store. He's trying to kick the, the tree people off the sidewalk. I'm out on that one. I, I, I just don't think anytime there's a Christmas tree farm, like you mean Christmas trees, wolf, like so bad. The Brennan Elliott one with the Christmas trees, so bad. Like, I just am not in on the Christmas tree farmer conceit, I don't think. That's where you lost me immediately. One for the parrot. All right. Fair enough. Let's do one more and take a break. Dan?

[00:55:18] Yes, you did it. Okay. Let's do one more and take a break. We have the Christmas Eve feast starring Daniel Monet and Kevin McGarry Friday, November 27th at 6 p.m. The first of a double feature. Sylvana Sylvie, last name, is disillusioned with her job as the executive chef at a swanky restaurant in New York. Another New Yorker. Growing up in a large and loving Italian-American family,

[00:55:48] Sylvie is drawn to the food and comfort of her home. When her beloved Nana suffers a minor wrist injury, it's minor, Sylvie is called back home to Boston's Italian North End to prepare the family's beloved feast of the seven fishes. Christmas Eve dinner. As she preps for the big feast, her family is joined by Ethan, a photographer who is documenting different family traditions around town and who's become close to her Nana.

[00:56:17] After a rocky start with Ethan, things begin to heat up as Sylvie grows to appreciate the heart and soul he puts into capturing the magic of little moments and a romance could be simmering. I see what they did there. Every day leading up to Christmas Eve, Sylvie gathers in the kitchen with her Nana, mom and aunt to prepare the pasta, Struffoli, and other Italian classics near and dear to Sylvie's heart. The special family time reminds her

[00:56:47] of the kind of cooking that truly brings her joy and leads Sylvie to rethink where she belongs and can take a clear picture of who she should be, who should be by her side. All right, Brian. Yeah, I mean, this is 500 cream all the way. We're going to get McGarry doing his Boston accent. This is going to be great. This is all we want for Christmas. So easy 500 cream for me. I really like this pairing. I'm happy to see Daniel Monet in a Hallmark Christmas movie. I think it's going to be really fun. And yeah, the fact that he gets

[00:57:16] to do Boston again is very fun for me. I'm going four and a half on this one. Patrick? So I heard wrist injury, which sounds like an emergency to me. So we got to get the safety police out there and make sure Nana's okay. You need a vest for the marathon, right? Yeah. Yeah. And I love pasta and I've done the Feast of Seven Fishes with my family one Christmas, which was really fun. So yeah, this sounds great. I'll go four and a half for sure. Four and a half.

[00:57:46] All right. Jax? I'm going to give this a four and a half too. I love Daniela Monet. Also, she's a vegan. So I'm going to be on the lookout for the substitutions that they're giving her. Yeah, a lot of food. Yeah. Alonzo? You know, look, I think that maybe, you know, Tyler Hines and Russell Hainline can do Groundhog Day at least as well as, you know, Round and Round did. I do not believe this movie can do the Feast of the Seven Fishes

[00:58:16] as well as the Feast of the Seven Fishes did. Great. Or the bear. Or the bear. Yeah. So I'm giving it one for Kevin McGarry's Boston accent. Thank you. I mean, if there's any reason to detract from the movie, it is if McGarry decides to go that hard on that accent, which is a crazy choice. I will say this. This movie seems like it's going to go wrong so many different ways. I love a movie where it doesn't appear that any of the extended family is dead. Like it's just a wrist injury

[00:58:45] and everyone's still alive and they go home and still get to make new memories instead of thinking about cherished old ones. That is a new idea for Hallmark. I love Feast of the Seven Fishes being the backdrop for this. And I'm fascinated to see what McGarry does with the accents after what the pushback was the last time he tried it. Pushback. No pushback here, brother. The accent was hysterical. It's encouraging. Please. But you, why was it encouraging? Because it's awesome. Okay. Yeah, that's all I knew.

[00:59:15] I do think Kevin McGarry and Daniela Monet make a great pairing. This movie is terrifying because I think it has just as much of an opportunity to be one of the worst of the year as it does to be an all-time classic. That's what, this movie, the range here, the floor is very low and the ceiling is very high. So I'm going to stick right down the middle at two and a half knots. Very good. All right, we're going to take a break. We'll come back and get some more movies. Merry Thanksgiving weekend.

[00:59:44] Okay. Here on Deck the Hallmark. Well, hello, everybody. Welcome back. We all look refreshed. The same. We're doing great. Let's get to those last few movies for Merry Thanksgiving weekend and call it a date. Does that sound good? I love that plan. You're not going to ask about the freezer that I brought in in the break?

[01:00:14] I'm not going to ask about the freezer. Wow. Hey, Dan, what's in the freezer? I literally, during the break, hauled this freezer up the stairs and you didn't say a word about it. What's in the freezer? What's in the freezer? What? The Kringle of the Week? I don't know what you want. What did you expect? Pear Almond. Pear Almond is the Kringle of the Week. Pear Almond. That's part of their harvest flavors. Very good. You can get that right now. Absolutely. What is it? DTH OCT 26. That's it. 10% on site-wide. That's an autumn favorite.

[01:00:44] Now, this is not a... You can't have any of this. I can't. I can't enjoy it. The rest of us pair on. Who wants it? Who wants some? Anybody? Yeah, I do. It's awesome. I have to say, these Kringles, I tried the Ratbear one. It's excellent. Alex asked me, he's like, how much of it am I allowed to have? And I was like, you can have as much as you want. He left me this idea. That's right. He took it all. He did the right thing. He did the right thing. He did the right thing. All right. Shout out while Dan

[01:01:13] figures that out. Let's talk about Return to Santa. Return to Santa. Return to Santa. He's coming from North Pole. I think most people would have gone the Elvis route on that one, but whatever. Return to Santa. Address unknown. We went with an original. We went with an original. We don't copyright. It's a cover of Return to Office. You don't want to get dinged.

[01:01:42] You really screwed us up, Alonzo. It's going to be a blue, blue Christmas now. Here comes the Colonel. Okay. This one's starring one, Paul Campbell and Rachel Boston. Hopeful. Is that out loud? I'm sorry. Hopeful and dreamy eight-year-old Jake writes a letter letter to Santa Claus with all his most fantastical wishes, but when the letter gets lost in the North Pole, young Jake wakes up disappointed

[01:02:11] and no longer a believer. Then I saw her face. Decades later, Santa discovers the misplaced letter. They're very litigious. and immediately sets out to make things right. Now, an adult, Jake, is about to... All stars of Luke. That's true. That lead singer's dead. Great. Thank you. We didn't need it. We still love all stars. He's sick of us having fun. Come on, man.

[01:02:40] Jake is about to have his life turned upside down when the appearance of his childhood wishes clash with his practical lifestyle. After, I'm sorry, all while his childhood best friend, Julie, rather unexpectedly moved back to town. As Santa continues to check off Jake's list, Jake and Julie combine forces to anticipate each new wish's chaotic consequences all while growing closer to each other and possibly leading Jake closer

[01:03:09] to his most important childhood dream. Hmm. We just wish it was a longer The hot dying contest. That's his dream. That's his dream. All right. It's what she got. What can you really quickly? A cream. Remind me how many creams I have left. Just act like we came back from a bigger break. Sure. Brand, you got three creams left to use in the cannon. Dan, you have four left. Yeah, I had four left. Jax has four left.

[01:03:37] Alonzo has five left. No, no, no. I have three left. I thought I have five left. Really? I'm going to count them up now. I knew Brian couldn't do this. One, two, three. No, you've got five left. Alonzo. You've only used three creams. I'm going to say Brian, I knew you were right. I had faith in you, Brian. Thank you so much. Suck up. Now I'm more confident than ever. Brian, what do you think about this one? I feel like if, what else are we here for? This is the kind of stuff that I want to see.

[01:04:07] This is going to be, this is Paul Campbell playing a really tight guy who did not get it. He's a tight guy. Tight guy. He's a tight guy. His dreams never came true because his list got lost. This is going to be awesome. Do you feel seen? We'll see, won't we? Yeah, this is going to be great. This is five and a cream. Five and a cream, he said. Cream for wackiness. That's what it's for. That's right. For back-to-back movies

[01:04:37] for you. Christmas Eve feast. I remember. Return to Santa, back-to-back. It's going to be a good wacky cream. Some creams are wacky. I'm going four for everything about the movie and then an extra one. I'm going five. What did you just say? For Antonio Caon. Four for everything about the movie. I'm going five. I'm going an extra one. Antonio gets his own. You just say five first and then break it down for me. That's not how I do it. That's how you do it. This is a normal way to do things.

[01:05:05] Going four for everything. You buried the lead by not mentioning Antonio. Antonio Caon is in this movie. I know. That's why he's moving it out. That's why he's getting it bumped up to five. Bramble Jam's own Antonio Caon. That's right. He's getting the Bramble Jam bump there. Jax, what are you thinking? I'm actually thinking You don't have to get closer to your microphone. No. It's totally good. You're new. It's new for you. This is a new thing we're trying where you're podcasting. It's a new thing. Yeah.

[01:05:37] Wow. Rachel and for Antonio, two people who I love and adore and I think are incredible actors and hallmarks should use them even more than they already do. Five and a cream. Jax held on to her creams for a while and now she's playing Fast and Loose. I wanted to cream all my friends. I get it. We're both in there. Who hasn't had that dream? Patrick. So, wow. Yeah.

[01:06:06] Antonio being in this movie is so great. That's very exciting. I'm going to give the marketing team no creams because he should be on the poster. I love marketing. People get with it. But this movie also mentioned a best friend returning home. Childhood best friend returning home. And I love that because if Emily Baker moved home, I will be so happy that my best friend from childhood, we used to have Emily Baker, we used to do the craft. You know, you watch the movie The Craft and then you pretend you're witches.

[01:06:37] We used to do the craft. We do like a glamour and like change our eye color and change our hair color and be like, did it work? Did it work? Yeah. So, for best friends, I'm going to give it a five. Oh, wow. A five, yeah. That is a big bump for best friends. I love that. This is almost assuredly going to be our highest. Okay. Alonzo? Yeah, there's a lot here that sounds great. I mean, I think with your leads, they're clearly wanting to mix some salt and sugar. And if you get

[01:07:06] that combo right, it's great. And if you don't, it's unpalatable. But this is from the director of Christmas with the Sings, which I like. She also made a short called Queer and Muslim that I really want to see now. And on top of it, all Antonio. So, four and a half for me. Four and a half. Dan, good vibes. Keep going. I think that the leads, like this movie is terrifying to me because on paper, it's everything that I think you should

[01:07:36] want in one of these movies. It's not a traditional plot. The idea of getting your wish from when you were eight as a grown-up is such a great plot for a Christmas movie, for Hallmark or really for the big screen. I think this is a plot that could really work. That director makes me happy. Antonio Caone makes me happy. Could it all fall apart? Like last year's Lacey Andrew Walker movie where she's like a covert spy for Santa and it just didn't work the way it really should have

[01:08:06] and it didn't have any whimsy. Yeah, and that scares me. But on paper, this movie should be the best of the year. Give me four and a half and a cream for this one. Whoa! Four and a half and a cream. Six and a half. Nope. Not how I do it. That's how you do it. That's not how I do it. No, you're right. So if anybody is keeping track at home, that is 24 out of a possible 25 peppermint mochas? Is that what we're doing these days? I think we're doing nogs. Egg nogs, of course. It was just one break.

[01:08:36] I don't know how I forgot. We had to retire the peppermint mocha for reasons. You got the fridge in there. Yeah, out of 25 nogs, we gave this 24 nogs. It's going to suck. That's a lot of nogs. There's no way around it. Like, we don't do that. Sorry we doomed you. Yeah, this is why actual movie critics don't get together and do this for actual movies. Can you imagine like everyone on the front end of Babylon being like, it's Damien Chazelle. It's blah, blah, blah. Give me five film reels. Alonzo, have you pitched this

[01:09:05] for breakfast all day? Oh, good Lord. No, I, this is, this stays here. Yeah. Fine. You can't have my awesome idea. All right. Up next, we got Holiday Ever After, colon, a Disney World wish come true. It's starring Lazy Chabert, Travis Van Winkle, Richard Kind, Christy Carlson, Romano, others. This is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28th at 8 p.m. Lindsay and her

[01:09:35] extended family head to Walt Disney World Resorts to spend, what does that mean? Restricted? What does that mean? Registered. Registered. Rue Britannia. To spend a magical Christmas together, but the dream of a jolly holiday gets quickly dashed when Lindsay discovers her room is next door to Phillip, a disastrous first date that she recently had, who's also there on a family trip. So they're both rich. As Lindsay and Phillip paths

[01:10:05] cross throughout their stay, the frost starts to thaw. I think that's the third time they've used that same phrase in these synopses this year. The frost starts to thaw as they learn that they're not so different from each other after all. Thanks to some Walt Disney worlds are magic. The holiday wish Lindsay made in Cinderella Fountain just might turn their rivalry into romance. It's a big one. It's a big one.

[01:10:35] Big marketing play by the folks at the Hallmark. What do you think about this one, Bri? This doesn't do a lot for me, really. I'm not hyped about it. I don't care about Disney that much. Lacey's great. Travis should be great. Jax is so disappointed. Richard Kind is going to be so fun. Yeah, Richard Kind is why you should be. That's the easy all-star. His reactions are going to be this whole movie. It's all on his shoulders, unfortunately. It's all on Richard Kind. So, I mean, I'm going to for Richard Kind,

[01:11:05] I'm going to go four just because I feel like it's not. He's not feeling it, guys. Four. I'm not, but I don't think it's going to be bad. Grudging four. I don't think it's going to be bad. I want to be like Brian and be like, this doesn't do it for me. It does, though. Sure as heck does do it for me. I'm stoked for this movie. The cast is incredible. I think being at Disney is going to make for a lot of fun. And so, I got to go five, of course. But I am going to hold on my cream. But I am going to go five.

[01:11:34] You had Brian of Florida. Jax. Ever since I was a kid, I've always loved the episodes where the whole crew goes somewhere else. So, I'm not even necessarily a huge Disney fan, but I always loved those episodes like when Full House went to Disney. Like, Family Matters. Yeah, they all met up. When Brady Brunch went to Kings Island or whatever that place is called in Ohio. Yes, that does something for me. I love Travis Van Winkle.

[01:12:03] I think Lacey's adorable. Christy Carlson Romano. I love everything that's happening here, Richard Kind. I am going to give this four and a half and I'm going to cream it. Wow! She's out of control! Back to back. What she does with her creams. It's her business. Yeah. Patrick? Not surprised that Jax is a Disney adult. Adam. Boom. Boom. So,

[01:12:33] my algorithm has been giving me this guy who does TikToks on roller coasters and he sings like in slow motion to Avril Lavigne on the roller coaster with the hair blowing in his hair or the wind blowing in his hair and yeah, if that happens in this movie, I would give it a five but I don't think that they have the budget for him. They got Christy Carlson Romano instead and that's so exciting because Christy Carlson Romano and Anne Hathaway were like on the same level at one point

[01:13:03] in their careers and now they're not and this is so good for her to be in a Hallmark movie. I think it's a great space for her. She should have been there a long time ago. A long time ago. Like what took her so long and now Lacey's kind of bringing her in like hey girl, I'm going to bring you, I was on your podcast now I'm going to bring you in you're going to become a Hallmark girly and this is great. So for girls looking out for each other we're going to go forward. I think I'm in, I'm excited to see

[01:13:32] if Christy Carlson Romano can still act. Like I don't know. Like, I mean, didn't she take a bullet to the face? Isn't this the truth? She took a bullet to the face and she was on drugs for a long time and had a big problem and like she's recovered from all this is a big deal. I'm excited for her. Yeah. I'm excited. She's got a lot to pull from for those dramatic scenes at Disney World. At Disney World with Richard going. Patrick, if you could go ahead and send me a link to that TikTok though, I'd really appreciate it. Oh, I definitely will. Alonzo? I go,

[01:14:01] I'm very back and forth on this one. Like this is obviously the basket that Hallmark is putting their most eggs in this season with all the tie-ins with, you know, the Disney products and stuff. And that concerns me because I feel like this script had to go through more corporate vetting than anything else. Like even more than the NFL movie because you've got the Disney people, you've got like all of these, you know, the, I'm sure the corporate branding people and stuff. However,

[01:14:30] you also have Richard Kind which I'm very excited about and this is from the guy who wrote and directed Sugar Plumbed. Okay, very good. And he also wrote a movie that I will defend even though it is not popular, Gem and the Holograms, the live action version. Oh man, if I hear Alonzo talk about Gem and the Holograms one more time. A better movie that people give it credit for. I heard you talking about that on the preview for it. I'm gonna go three,

[01:15:00] not quite down the middle. Three, not quite down the middle. Three down the middle. Got it. Dan. So this is interesting because I'm not a big Disney guy. I think they obviously do what they do very well. That giant Mickey tattoo on your chest. That's right. yeah. That's for only you. And actually, yeah, each ear comes out of this. It's big. Yeah, it's big. Oh man, I love you. Yeah, it's good. It's good. I love your chest. Thanks, Mick. No, thank you, Mickey. That's what I, that's the kind of. Your nipple is my eyeball. Those words of affirmation

[01:15:29] are what get me through the day. When am I gonna be on breakfast in hell? Yeah, Mickey was a Jehovah's Witness for a long time. You don't, listen, this is the thing is I don't really, Disney adults talking to them is like talking to someone that really loves MMA. Like, I'm sure what you're, what you love is great and I can tell that you love it and you have a passion for it. It's a foreign language to me and I've been to Disney World. I've seen it with my own eyes

[01:15:58] and I just fundamentally don't know why this is a proposition for only adults to go every year to. But it's not me. You live your life and enjoy yourself and if it brings you joy, then go do it. Not gonna yuck your yum. I also like Lacey more when she gets to be a character actor and I found that out through watching Paris is always a good idea. At Al with Bran and with Jax, she's amazing in that and we know now what she can do. What I'm worried is that she kind of goes back to the I'm here to present

[01:16:27] kind of, I'm in Disney, I've got all these people and so that gives me a bit of pause here. The Disney product placement and Lacey going back to that kind of Hallstar leading role doesn't really excite me. On the other end of the spectrum, Richard Kind. If we don't have at least two monologues from Richard Kind where it starts normal and gets crazy by the end of it and everyone's staring at him, then they have, it's like when they put Joey Pants and Santa's steak out for him just to stare. And he didn't get to do anything. Like, if they utilize

[01:16:57] the secret weapon of Richard Kind which is everything this guy says is a stitch and you have to let him almost run like it's a Christopher Guest movie, if you'll give him, if you'll give him some run and then take the best of that, then this movie can't help but be great. So I'm stuck in a tough spot because part of me kind of wants to match Jax with back-to-back creams for what could be, but it's Disney and that, and it really worries me let's go two and a half right down the middle,

[01:17:27] two and a half right down the middle. No cream. No cream. I'm sorry, Jack. You know what? I really don't. Cream it. Cream it. Cream it. I think I'm getting around. I think I'm holding it. All right, two more. Here we go. Eight Nights for Love. This is starring Hunter King and Dan Janotz. This is Sunday, November 29th, 6 p.m. Movie. Hannah, who works for a large auction house in New York City, is excited for her best friend Ethan to return home. Uh-oh,

[01:17:57] another best friend returning home movie, Patrick. Buckle up. Uh-oh. Um, for a visit during Hanukkah and looking forward to some much-needed time off from work. That plan is short-lived when Ethan shares the news that he's convinced the daughter of his wealthy boss to use Hannah's auction house to sell their family's collection of, what does that say? Hold on, I gotta go full screen on this. My fault, folks. Uh, doesn't help. Judica?

[01:18:27] Judaica? Judaica? It's gotta be Judaica. Uh, with, uh, the condition that Hannah handles to sail. I don't think you can do that. Complicating her holiday further, she meets the mysterious Pearl, who gives her with an antique menorah that is anything but ordinary as it takes her back to a different time of her life each night of Hanukkah. Oh, that's fun! With Pearl as her guide. This front row seat to past memories,

[01:18:57] including some that involve Ethan, leads Hannah to reflect, break out, you should get us some skin cream for that, I'm kidding, break out of her comfort zone, thank you, and, uh, overcome her failure. Uh, thanks, uh, thanks to her trips through the past, and as she and Ethan spend time together in the present, Hannah realizes that she has feelings for him she never acknowledged. Through the journey, Hannah makes some bold decisions about her life and love, and are sure to make this Hanukkah one

[01:19:26] to remember. I mean, I hope that this Hanukkah would be one to remember, given in fact your time traveling, yeah, and your time traveling. Okay, Braggar, is it, did it say there if it's, uh, she's going to the past like interspersed with the present? Is she going back and forth? It seems like she goes back maybe at nighttime, maybe through slumber. Through slumber. I hope she doesn't get too tired, though, if you're just up all night. That's true. Boy, this sounds really cool.

[01:19:56] I'm going to match the Disney one. I feel like this might even, I'm going to go four and a half. I'm going to beat, this is better than Disney one. Wow. Yeah, I think this is a really fun idea. You know, I feel good about this. I like this pairing. I think it's fun. It's Christmas Carol-esque where you're, you know, you're going back to the past and you're seeing some things and maybe that'll help you moving forward. I don't know. We'll see, but only one ghost and that ghost is Pearl. How cool is Pearl?

[01:20:25] How cool is Pearl? Do we know who plays Pearl? Yeah, it's set it. Okay. It's fine. Not a name I recognize. Okay. I want to throw in something here that may kind of play up the switch up the cream game here. This is written by Tamar Laddy. Tamar Laddy is the author of Round and Round and Crashing Through the Snow. Yes. Yes. Okay. Fair enough. I'm going five and I will cream. What are you

[01:20:55] waiting on? Yeah, I'm going five and I'm cream. Jax? I'm having a difficult time telling that if the Merry Thanksgiving week movies are just excellent or I'm just out of my luteal phase now. It's confusing for everyone. Yeah, it's usually probably the latter. You always talk about that as being a Why not both? Yeah. Look, we all know best Hallmark holiday movies are Hanukkah movies. I'm super excited about this one.

[01:21:25] I love Hunter. I think Dan is a gem. I think this one has an excellent premise. It's getting five and a cream. That's three creams in a row. Have we ever had it? Have we ever had three creams in a row on a Christmas preview episode? I think we may have. Did we not already have that? I thought there was a time where it got to Alonzo. No, Alonzo creamed two in a row, but not three in a row. I creamed three. I think I only have one cream left. You have one cream left.

[01:21:55] Alonzo didn't cream two in a row. Jax has creamed two in a row earlier and three in a row. I misunderstood. I thought we were doing how many creams. There's one host creaming three consecutive movies. What does she have left? One. Will she go into next week with any creams? Find out in a moment. Patrick. As we mentioned, best friends. Of course, we love that. Hunter

[01:22:24] King is related to Joey King. Joey King was Gypsy Rose Blanchard in a TV show. That brings me to talk about Gypsy Rose. Is Gypsy Rose okay? I mean, that's how I got there. That's how I got there. I'm concerned. don't you think you did something to that act? Look, I'm just saying, we need to look into this, guys. I got my detective hat on. I'll let you know when I find out. Lifetime will do a movie about it.

[01:22:54] I can't wait for you to tell me all about Gypsy Road during the marathon this year. It's going to be crazy. We'll do a whole recap. But all that to say, four and a half and a cream for this movie. Four and a half and a cream. Man. Patrick, you have four creams left. Okay. Wow. Okay. Okay. Alonzo. Five and a cream. I mean, how is this even? doing? This is a Tamar Laddy script. It's Dan Janot and Hunter King. Like,

[01:23:23] yes, give it to me now with a lot. Yeah. I can't give it to you now. What if I could? Wow. Okay. That's tough. I know. Tough but fair. Dan? Yeah. So, five and a cream for me as well. Hanukkah movies on the homework channel have such a better batting average than Christmas movies. It's absurd to even say out loud. And I know that there are so few of them, but even movies like Hanukkah on Rye, Hanukkah on the Rocks, A Gifts of Hanukkah, A Holiday Date, which is

[01:23:53] wacky screwball comedy Bristow movie. These movies, round and round, obviously, these movies, because so much attention and time and care is poured into them as being one of the only Hallmark Hanukkah movies of the year, if not the only one. It's almost like if you make fewer of a certain kind of movie, the quality might be better. No, that doesn't make any sense. Last year begs to differ, brother. I just know that this movie is five and a

[01:24:22] cream in the opposite way that I've returned to Santa four and a half and a cream. I'm so sure of this movie's floor. The worst version of this movie is a top ten for the season. Wow. This is the most sure thing. Hanukkah, time travel, Tamar Laddy, Hunter King, Dan Janot. This is the most sure thing we're going to get for a movie that's not going to suck. Since the Creed reunion. Since the Creed reunion with Switchfoot opening. That's exactly right. Yeah. Five and a cream for me. Very good.

[01:24:52] That is, of the six hosts, five of us creamed it and four of us gave it five. That's crazy. Brian's the holdout over here. Four and a holdout, Brian. I can't go back in time, but I will. All right. Last one for this episode. Last one for Jack's to cream. If she wants to get rid of them all before our final multiple creams in a week. Thanksgiving's a good week to do it. It's true. Miles to Christmas. Miles to Christmas. That is starring Ashley Williams, Steve Juan and

[01:25:22] Allison Sweeney. That's Sunday, November 29th, 8 p.m. When an early snowstorm sweeps through the Midwest, punctual straight-laced suit. Okay. It's just it being in. Anyway, Cassidy Fields is forced to hitch a ride with free-spirited music-loving Johanna Joe Woods in her brother Chase's 18-wheeler to the nearest airport to catch another flight. However,

[01:25:51] when Joe's flight successfully takes off and Cassidy's is canceled again at the last minute, she joins Chase on the road back to Tennessee from Chicago to make it home in time to spend Christmas with her father. Quickly, Cassidy and Chase's connection begins to spark through losing the car keys, stopping to partake in a Mrs. Claus parade. You have to and a surprise running with Joe. How? Whose plane got grounded mid-flight

[01:26:21] due to weather. Cassidy builds bonds with both siblings as they all challenge one another's life philosophies. Good Lord. What the? As the trio pushes past every obstacle, they work to embrace their differences and find that the fastest way home is when they lean on one another. Is there a word after that? I can't see it. No, I think that's it. Okay. For help. For help, there is. Oh! That picture of Steve Lund, is that a portrait?

[01:26:51] What's going on with that picture of Steve Lund? It's a tough pick. You've got the wacky head shot and then the serious head shot. It doesn't look real. No, it does look a little like JCPenney or something. Yeah. Not an actual head shot. Looks great, but it doesn't look like a real picture. All right, Brian, send us home. Yeah, well, I heard 18 Wheeler and now all I can think of is a Christmas version of Over the Top. Oh, let's go. Absolutely. The whole movie is going to be doing work on the bicep

[01:27:20] exercises. Absolutely. Nobody knows that movie, but the two of them clearly. You guys get some homework to do before the season starts. Theme song by Survivor. Thank you. He drives a Mack truck and does arm wrestling competitions. Arm wrestling, yes. To win back his son. That's right. Canon Films. Come on. This, that, and La Bamba back to back cover all the transportation. That's right after the gym and the holograms. Jupiter ascending double feature. You wish. Oh, man. Boy, I guess

[01:27:50] I'm really excited about this one. I'm going to go four and a half on this one as well. I think this is a really fun idea. The 18-wheel over it all is really intriguing. I like this trio, I think. And so I'm going to go with straight up four. Straight up four. Nope. Four and a quarter. Nope. You're going to do a quarter knock? Can we do quarters? Is this new? This is new. Only half a half. Four and a quarter. Jax.

[01:28:22] I'm creaming it. Whoa! Oh, my God. Get out of here. Until I... This is... When I heard about this one at the 25th anniversary, I was so excited. Anna Kemp, who's the exec on this movie, is not only a dear friend, but she's the woman who brought us Three Wise Men. She's hilarious. I think Ashley's so funny. I think that this is going to be a buddy comedy. I am praying that it is like Bridesmaids. I am praying

[01:28:52] for this and they may let me down. Whatever God you're praying to, give me some of that. One and a cream. One and a cream. Very good. Patrick? Alonzo, Jax is out of cream. I'm done. Yes. It's dry for you the rest of the time. That's right. It is dry. Dry December. Patrick? I'll be honest. I didn't pay attention to that one. I was looking for the TikTok of the rollercoaster

[01:29:22] brand. Send it to the group. Yeah. Basically, it's this guy singing to Avril Lavigne. I don't ride roller coasters, but if I did, this would be what I do. But I can't because of my heart. That would be too dangerous for me. Your heart is too dangerous to ride roller coasters because of your heart? Yeah, because it would make my heart explode. Because you have the Tony Stark. You have Tony Stark. Yeah. Of course. You have

[01:29:52] Tony Stark condition. Since I was distracted, I will say I will give this movie three and a half. Very good. I love that. Alonzo? I mean, look, I'm always always here for an Ashley Williams joint and Steve Lund is fun with this. And it's from a writer who has a long track record of working on Degrassi. Other aspects I'm not entirely sure about. So I'll

[01:30:21] say a solid three. Solid three. Bring us home. Thank you, man. As good of a track record as the Hallmark Hanukkah movies have, I would say the reverse is true for Hallmark road trip movies. Any Hallmark movie that promises a road trip typically doesn't work for me. I'm trying to think of an exception to that rule, but every year we get a few movies. The Rachel Leigh Cook, Steve, Travis Van Winkle one? I don't remember that one off the top of my head, so it's not a great sign. Oh,

[01:30:50] I do remember that movie, and that's maybe the best of the bunch, but still they had to do a nativity play in a barn at one point. that still didn't work for me like it did for everyone else. I believe even, was that Panda? I don't know. Panda loved a road trip. He loved a road trip, but most of the time those movies don't work as well as I want them to work, and so I'm a little down on this movie, even though I love Ashley Williams. one and a half. All right, one and a half. Well, we did it everybody. Congratulations

[01:31:20] to us. That gets us to December, so we're going to come back next week, preview those final batch of movies, so come on back for that. It's going to be a lot of fun. Until then, maybe the first to wish you are Merry Christmas.
