BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

The movie kicks off with these repairmen doing repairs to people's houses exclusively using a wrench. At one of the houses, there's an elderly woman. This repair guy goes outside and calls this dude and says hey I found a sugar momma for you. He's like I'm not sure. She's probably too old. Find me a younger sugar momma.

Cut to the opening credits which is animated and tells the story of this couple getting married, having a kid, and ultimately getting a divorce. They work the best they can to raise this kid. So that's the whole backstory I guess.

Cut to 1 year later and we see a guy open a safe and pull out a yellow folder. We meet Raymond, the kid from the pictures. His parents are in town to celebrate Christmas a week early. His roommate could not be more ready for them to leave so he can undecorate for Christmas because he hates it.

Raymond's Army dad leaves early but ends up coming back because his flight is cancelled. We meet Raymond's mom's new boyfriend - Greg and Greg is the sugar momma guy from the beginning! Turns out there's going to be a blizzard and everyone has to stay there, including Raymond's roommate and his 2 friends.

Greg goes next door where one of the repairmen lives. He hands Greg a gun but implores him to get the money and not kill anyone in the process. He's like it's going to be complicated now that everyone is there but ok.

Raymond is shocked to see his mom smoking weed with his friend, Winnie.

The power goes out and Christmas day comes and Greg and his partner strike! They gas everyone and hold them hostage at gunpoint. They tie them all up with Christmas lights. They decide the best course of action is to rob this place and then burn the house down. Luckily, they get loose and Raymond takes Greg down and dad shoots the other guy.

They all spend Christmas together and agree to spend every Christmas together moving forward.

[00:00:03] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast Christmas Heist Movies Hey, I'm Dan and I despise Christmas Heist Movies I'm Alonzo and Olive Oil is Nature's Milk And this is Deck The Hallmark Podcast Deck The Hallmark, it's his podcast

[00:00:29] Friends host his podcast I love Oh boy I love that this movie, you know 2025, let's release this movie And then they were like, well Jingle Bell Heist Is coming out on Netflix, so we can't do that Holiday Heist

[00:00:58] Don't Google it Don't Google it Not a Holiday Heist Or the other Holiday Heists Or a Holiday Heist Bad There already is a Holiday Heist Oh no It took me a second on Tubulas I know I want the 2025 one Yes you do Did you though? And then I found it We're going to find out about this movie here in just a second But Alonzo, how are you?

[00:01:28] Happy September? Happy September Happy Labor Day weekend, everybody That's right Yeah Bur months They're here It's happening Are you saying bur yet? Burnts? No I'm on fire You know The thing about LA summer starts late I mean, not so much this year But generally speaking May, June There's still a lot of marine layers It doesn't really start heating up until July And then it stays hot Like into October

[00:01:58] Yeah So yeah, the bur months are purely hypothetical Bur months are a state of mind We were out there When my wife and I were out there in May It was delightful It was way better I mean, we were already dead in summer in May here But it was great in LA I loved it Yeah That's peak time to come Although it's hilarious when you see Well, actually That kind of happened to you too You see the tourists who show up in shorts And they're like Yeah And you had to run out and buy a hoodie I had to We were at that mall where the Katsuya is And I had to go into that dumb store And buy a hoodie

[00:02:28] And I was just like I can't believe I'm buying a hoodie at a mall And like just take my money And throw it on the floor And light it on fire Wow And I did I had to buy a hoodie I wore it one time And I've not worn it since either I don't even know who you are anymore Yeah We went to a cheaper store It was like 20 bucks All right Take it to Christmas Con You know Yeah Sarah's taking it My wife's taking it She wears it all the time around the house She loves it She thinks it's very comfortable I'm like, great Good for you Yeah, very good We are I mean, coming up in the next couple weeks Getting our Hallmark release scheduled

[00:02:57] It's going to be a big day around here Big Super Bowl Let's get on the record, Alonzo What dates the release happening? How many movies we got? How many movies we got? Hang on I got to check the text thread Because I planted here Yeah He planted a flag I think he said 16th, 32 But I could be misremembering Hang on I know that I believe it's the Wednesday So I want to So maybe that's the That's the 16th Okay Yeah Yeah, 16th And then Did I say 32 or 35?

[00:03:27] I don't remember But I have it on paper somewhere So I have committed to this All right It's a serious time I'd take 32 I'd take 32 That's a huge jump That's a 33% jump Still less of a decline, though Than 20 Oh, no, I got it 24 Still calling 9-16 As announcement day And I predict an even 30 titles Oh Okay No, I don't want an even 30 You don't want six more movies? That's 25% more movies

[00:03:55] I want at least 10 more movies than last year You want 10 more I want 10 more You want 34 I would take 32 But I'd be happy with 34 I've not settled on a number yet But I am convinced That the new Hallmark model Is going to increase the number significantly But that is all acquisitions So they are going to be Oh, for sure, yeah Getting strong into the acquisition game More than they ever have in the past Yes Nothing from Maverick, I'm pretty sure Yeah, no But of the movies we're going to get

[00:04:24] Like, let's say we get 30 movies They're going to have 12 That they put their money behind They're going to spend 30 to 40 million dollars on 12 movies And they're going to have 18 That they spend about 15 million dollars on total And those 18 We're going to wish we only had 24 And I'm already pissed Now, I'm assuming I'm coming back For season 3 of Mistletoe Murders No, no No, yeah I haven't got better news Then we just do it solo

[00:04:53] Of course, Alonso Yeah, of course But are those premiering on the network Or on the Plus Or do we know? That's a good question And we just literally talked to Ken Coopers This week Off the record About just him He just Just life And he didn't tell us I don't know We didn't ask Okay So I mean, either way We're covered But I was just curious Yeah, yeah, yeah I would What did they do last year? They did them on the network last year And they did two at a time It was a Thursday night Two at a time They ran the first season

[00:05:22] On the network for the first time And then I think they They segued right into the second season Yeah, I want to say They did like Television to those On Thursday night Movies Friday, Saturday, Sunday Unscripted Monday So I don't think We're doing any unscripteds I don't think we're doing Any fine-must for Christmas Any baking Any Oh, boo I know I know Brand's real pissed He was hoping for a season two Of getting baked goods I know I was going to say I mainly bummed about Finding Mr. Christmas Sure Yeah, but also the treats

[00:05:52] No, but we had decided Didn't we decide that this year You and Brian Were going to have to bake I don't know What we had decided But it doesn't matter Because I won It's not a matter I could just taste all the baked goods This year There you go It doesn't matter As the winner And the taste maker Just make Brian make you something Every week And you know He'll do it anyway We'll tell him that The show is back But we're not covering it But he does have to bake You know, typically I would say Never trust a baker That looks like Brian Harrell But in this case Brian's stuff Is usually pretty good

[00:06:21] It's true Yeah He is like You know The thing about The small town The barber with the bad haircut Is the good barber That's right Because Yeah That's who he is Yeah Brian Harrell Like makes the carbs And maintains a booming system I don't know how he does it Yeah It's his bad haircut That's how it All right Holiday heists Everybody Holiday heists We're here It's happening This one Originally aired on December 1st I believe Yeah

[00:06:50] December 1st 2025 So Good on him Got it in there 25 days Until Christmas Start off strong December 1st With holiday heists Let the box office Just rack up You know what I mean I would like to see Those cowards at Hallmark Just have their normal slate And one of them is a maverick And just see how people respond There's One champ dog They would be able to The comments The comments of people going I really didn't like this Hallmark's going downhill Like no one would get it Oh

[00:07:20] But it'd be great Released it on a Wednesday At 10 in the morning Cowards Right after Christmas card Just like You know what I mean Just like 8 a.m. Christmas card 10 a.m. Champ dog presents Oh man What a time to be alive All right Let's do it December 1st 2025 And it went a little Something like this The movie kicks off With these Repair men Doing repairs At these people's Houses Exclusively with a wrench It's another wrench movie

[00:07:49] They only do repairs With wrench That should have been the sign At one of these houses There's an elderly woman And the repair guy Goes Outside And calls this dude And says Hey I found a sugar mama For you He's like How old And she's pretty old He's like I'm not so sure About that Probably too old Find me a younger Sugar mama Okay And so he does Cut to the opening credits Which is Animated And tells

[00:08:19] Us the story Of this couple Getting married Having a kid Ultimately getting Divorced They work the best They work the best They can To raise These kids And that's The back story Okay Cut to one year Later From the beginning Of this movie And we see A guy Open a safe And pull out A yellow folder He's the guy From the beginning Of the movie That wanted A sugar mama We then meet Raymond He is the son From those pictures His parents

[00:08:48] Are in town To celebrate Christmas a week Early His roommate Dustin Could not be More ready For them to leave So that he can Undecorate for Christmas Because he hates it And I hate Dustin And I wish He wasn't in this movie I said it Raymond's army Dad He's in the army Well he wears His army Got it I got it Raymond's army Dad leaves early But ends up Coming right back Because his flight Is cancelled

[00:09:18] We meet Raymond's mom And Raymond's Mom's boyfriend His name is Greg He's the sugar mama guy Okay Turns out There's gonna be A blizzard And everybody Is gonna stay there Including Raymond's roommate Dustin And their two Friends that also Happen to show up Greg goes next door Where one of the Other repair dudes Lives He hands Greg A gun And implores him

[00:09:47] To get The money But not kill Anyone in the process No casualties No casualties It's important We don't wanna kill Anybody He's like It's gonna be complicated Now that everybody Is there But okay Raymond is shocked To see his mom Smoking weed With his friend Winnie That doesn't Actually really matter That much I thought maybe It was going to But it It didn't The power goes out And Christmas day Comes and Greg And his partner

[00:10:17] Strike It's heist time Y'all They gas everybody And hold them hostage At gunpoint They tie them all up With Christmas lights And they decide The best course of action Is to rob this place And then burn the house To the grounds Luckily They get loose And Raymond Takes Greg down And his dad Shoots the other guy They did it That was it

[00:10:46] They all spend Christmas together And they agree To spend every Christmas Together For the rest of their lives Big promise And that my friends Was Holiday Heist We did it Let's take a break We'll come back We will break this movie down Some more Here on Deck the Hallmark

[00:11:06] Welcome back We're talking Holiday Heist today From 2025 Let's break this movie down With four seconds We're going to start With a hot take So we'll share exactly How we felt about this movie We do not hold back I'll start with you Alonzo Do you feel like You've been robbed? Leading question I would argue That a movie called

[00:11:36] Hollywood Heist Holiday Heist Holiday Heist Is making two promises Yep One would be A heist And one would be A holiday And does not Come through On either one Nope This is a Bland movie In a featureless house With occasional mentions Of Christmas And a crime That is so stupid It boggles the mind Yep That's what we're left with here Basically

[00:12:05] That's your holiday heist Boom Ta-da Yeah That's the movie Yep This movie I don't even know I don't even really know Because Do you know, Brian? No, I don't Because they do such a Bad job Of explaining The heist Yeah You know how When you watch A heist movie There's like a There's a whole Montage Quick cut Of them planning How they're gonna Do the heist And then the safe Is a double-barreled

[00:12:35] Stanley Martin The explosives expert The getaway driver That's right Yeah, there's Freeze frames This is not a heist The muscle This is a home robbery That's also really bad And poorly planned Yeah And it's a fraud Maybe I don't know And I'm pretty sure They're gonna burn A bunch of people alive That's their plan If I'm not mistaken Yeah So They have to minimize Their DNA Dude, I don't wanna Talk about it Yeah So I mean Yeah, that's really bad

[00:13:06] You're right, Alonzo The heist part of it They did not deliver I will say I don't hate Wrapping Christmas lights Around people If you're gonna do This type of movie At Christmas time That's a nice touch They did that So I will give that to them I would say More holiday than a heist But neither good More holiday than a heist But neither good This movie sucks It is so bad

[00:13:35] And it is They utilize AI For about 10 minutes of credits There's an opening credit sequence That is so painful And then And it's three minutes long And it's just the same song on repeat And then you're like God, I can't believe We got through this Buckle up for the next hour 10 Because now we're about 10 minutes into the movie And then at an hour 12 It cuts to credits And that's the rest of the movie So an hour 20

[00:14:04] 10 of which Are just an AI credit sequence That is hysterical in its own right And should have never been shown So that's a 12th of the movie right there The other 11 12ths of this movie Is just a cavalcade of bad acting I don't even There is one performance And I won't single them out Because it does feel personal That might be the single worst acting I've ever seen doing this job

[00:14:33] And like There was no motivation And I'm not even sure which one you mean That's the worst part of it There was no motivation considered There was no reaction There was no Anything Aside from reading off of a sheet of paper That's all that happened here They don't know how heists work They don't know how Christmas works They certainly don't know how Army works This movie is a mess They don't know how lights work They don't know how power works No Oh god no

[00:15:00] It is a very very very difficult watch And I think it's because it's nonsensical You know last week we did The Aspen Christmas Conspiracy An out and out bad movie But that movie Is soaring on the wings of eagles Compared to this movie Because underneath all of the rubble Of what happened to that movie Is something that does make sense And could work in theory in a movie Not here Not here If you explain this on paper

[00:15:29] There would be more questions than answers There would be more like Well why'd they do this? Well why'd they do it here? Well what's the point? They're gonna do what now? Why this? Like so much that doesn't work Before the camera even rolls So yeah it's not good I mean this movie was made for under $100 This is a group of people making a movie Hoping to share in the profits on Tubi And God love them I hope they made a bunch of money But don't mistake that for it Having anything remotely unique to say

[00:15:59] Or remotely excellent about how they say it So sorry Oh well okay It went It's time for all I love that these are the movies That folks who make the movies Always listen to the reviews And they always hear me Just absolutely Just strike the match on the table As I light it on fire And it's like guys You made the movie I didn't make the movie You know what you put out Don't tell me this was the best you had Stop it

[00:16:29] You made three-fifths of a cent By us watching it on TV Yeah I put my money in the bank I put it in I sat through all those commercials That's right Yeah I just like I just don't You know I know It's like And I don't know these people But I would assume That they're all capable of better Given any sort of second chance Even that one guy You were talking about I would like to believe that Aside from that one actor Person Yeah Person Yeah You agreed with me too I said it was the worst

[00:16:58] And after 30 minutes You went Daniel I think you're right I think it is the worst That we've ever seen Ever You can't even Like Like Guess Not allowed I have some candidates Okay You know But I We'll talk all fine Yeah of course Yeah I mean I think they all were troopers Personally I'll say it It was Jared Leto He was in there I don't know if you know He played What's his name that you hate Skeletor Yeah Dustin Yeah he played Dustin It was a very method role for him And he just

[00:17:28] Surprisingly enough The best he's ever been Crap the best Stop hiring Jared Leto For the love of God Stop Why does this keep happening He has a sex cult What And everyone knows I knew I could get Bran To go nuts about this The worst part Is he's not even good

[00:17:58] No one cares more about this than Bran And we all care But no one It's not like when Hollywood hires Actors that are bad people But are really good at their craft And so we put up with it We put up He's not good We are reviewing Ebenezer on this show Eventually right Oh boy Oh boy I don't Apropos of nothing Yep Of course not Let's talk All the feels Alonzo So there is a There's a Kind of

[00:18:28] I mean a movement Is saying too much But there's definitely A sentiment online Where that basically says If your Flyer Is made with AI I'm not coming to your event Yeah Like you I would rather you make You use a sharpie On a piece of paper Crayons even With the basic information On crayons Whatever Yeah But you use AI I'm not coming to your event Because I You're already turning me off So imagine my feeling Of having to sit through The opening credits Of this movie Not to mention

[00:18:57] The closing credits Where there's one AI image After another Cartoon of This family Evolving as the kid Grows up And it's like You just know It's AI It has that That same look That every Crappy AI Cartoon has The same sort of Big round eyes And just like All that junk And All of this Taking place over I swear A thing that I saw One time That y'all Threw into a Our live video Starts in two minutes

[00:19:27] With like a Sleigh turning around You're right I recognized it Right when you said it And it just Is on a loop Oh my goodness Yeah Just library footage So yeah My feel was Fury Of what I was about to get Because I was just I can't remember The last time I've been this mad At an opening credits sequence It was tough And the thing is Is that It's so weird Because maybe The most Ingenious part Of this Filmmaker's Movie is How do I Get you up to speed Right

[00:19:56] I decide to open With the bad guys That's a move Right Sure That's a move To open with Not the main characters Of the movie And we're supposed To remember them And if They had had some money And a budget To do that And then to do The equivalent of up You know During the credits Where you show This kid growing up And the parents Falling apart And them splitting up That's a good idea For how

[00:20:26] You could have done that With your own art And you would have Probably bought A lot of capital With even the likes Of me You could have found An illustrator In Atlanta Who would be so thrilled To be in a movie That's right That they would have Really cut you a deal Or even just Family pictures Like Get a Get your own Hire a child Do some Polaroids There's a Wait what I'll just use it now During the feels There is a scene Where the husband And wife are eating dinner And the baby

[00:20:56] Is crawling On the table With the dinner What is that No one Scanned the photo And went Well that never That's not a thing And later We see the Like the Tween version Of the kid At the dinner table With like A mound That is half green And half yellow Yeah Like You just That kind of AI slop Like to make To do all of this Other stuff Where you have to Shoot it practically

[00:21:26] Clearly In this one house And then to not Just give us A reason to pull for you Like it was embarrassing Real bad Yeah I don't know Dan Did you search your heart And find nothing I think I searched my heart And found nothing Welcome aboard Yeah I think I did I mean I have an angry Feels But I'm saving that For what the hallmarks So now I'm kind of Fair enough I'm kind of left empty Alright let's take a break We'll come back We'll get to the Wait what And the what

[00:21:56] The hallmark You're on Deck the hallmark Welcome back We're talking We're talking Holiday Highs We are But in the chat Bramblejamplus.com You can watch all these Live before they air Summer says Brand vehemently hating On Jared Leto Wasn't on my bingo card For today Well Now you know Get a new bingo card You know what I mean Exactly You should be around him Every day It comes up more

[00:22:25] Than you think That's the free space That's right Yeah Brand in the middle Of the bingo card Brand complains about Jared Leto Right there AI posters Are the Jared Leto Of graphic design It's like They're not even They're not even Good Wow If they were good Why are we doing this If it was a good Graphic design If it was a good Poster That'd be one thing But they're not AI slop As the kids say What people don't know Though We should probably

[00:22:55] Give a peek Behind the curtain Jared Leto's my dad We get in at 6am And we spin the Wheel of Jared Leto And we have to watch We have to watch One Jared Leto movie Before we start It's a weird thing We signed up for The little things again I know right Yeah He's got a big belly In that one though He's playing the role Yeah While 30 seconds Demar just plays In the background We have to do both At the same time I know Little things are Suicide Squad Right now Alonzo Which you Gotta watch again

[00:23:25] Oh god Can I take the bullets Give me little things I want that on the record Wow Very good I'm not proud of it But I'm just I'm answering the question Alright You still get to see Denzel You still get to see Denzel So That is best Still Denzel It is not his best No But it is still Denzel I see his face I get a little happy So there's like a little A little happiness Alright Wait what Yeah man Hey Alonzo

[00:23:54] Yeah I wrote down Welcome to Plumber Talk Oh boy I agree that Starting with the villains Is a bold gambit here But they take the long way around To let you know What this is even about For a long time It's like Why is this guy Oh my gosh Barrowing a wrench Like what are we doing here And then We get the 87 year old lady Ma'am You are in your 20s or 30s Yes And wearing a wig Yes And like kind of Making a mouth To look like an old lady What a crazy thing

[00:24:24] That we do to start this movie I thought it was a comedy Like it was so ridiculous You could have hired You could have hired An illustrator And you could have hired An actual octogenarian For this Cameo here Pretty straight forwards Yeah Cut up Yeah Yeah Yeah So as Bran points out We've After the horrible credits One year later Wait One year after Plumber Talk Or one year after The last AI photo I said the same thing I said one year since what That's a tough

[00:24:55] Happened That becomes clear later But it was not clear No Not at all I have never seen Less snowstorm In a snowstorm movie Oh my gosh Like everybody keeps Talking about it Like the skies are clear Yeah You know I mean we do see Some snow on the ground Or the roof or whatever They showed two cutaways That are just from Different times Yeah Like they're not During the movie Well they used up All the water And the AI For the credits And so But in this movie's

[00:25:24] Defense Alonzo You have seen The Christmas Prince movie We watched about a month ago Which I think Is the worst Blizzard This is better snow Than that Yeah You're right I was mentally blocking That that even I get that That's fair But I won't allow it This is in that Ballpark of like Where a snowstorm Is going to be Key to this plot But we cannot be bothered To actually show it to you Just trust us So I've made the joke For years That a lot of

[00:25:54] Hallmark movies Look like they were Shot in model homes Yep But so many of these Movies that we watch On Festive Friday Feel like they were They were shot In like Recently finished Homes that have Not yet been furnished And there's certainly Nothing on the walls And like there's just A blankness To everything So much White on the wall And beige on the carpet And the couch And this movie Just yeah Operates in this

[00:26:23] Realm of like Thank God For the Christmas Decorations Because there's Nothing else That even implies Human beings Occupy This residence And that's a typical Thing for these movies But this movie Just seemed even Blanker than usual The danger of Bran and I Watching these movies Is that we look Around our office And go We could shoot A movie here Like literally Like we watch Enough of these movies And we go Well we already Have the space For free Why don't we Shoot a movie Because it is We would probably Do it better

[00:26:53] And you've seen Where we work So I like It's crazy There's an old John Waters line About like If a movie is boring I can always Look at the lamps And like If you're lucky You can look At the lamps The lamp Singular Yeah we should Have such Production values Here The whole movie Is about Winnie And her body Being a temple And like I drink olive oil And I make tea Out of fish scales And she is Handed a bowl Of crappy Instant oatmeal And just

[00:27:23] Digs right in Just buries it That's right Yeah And I'm like If you thought That like Taking a fish oil Capsule was too Processed for you You don't even Want to know What is in The instant oatmeal That mom Just handed you If someone Tells you That they eat Clean And don't look Like they Eat really clean It's because They don't You know what I mean Like That would be like Me saying I eat Clean That would be Like what that is When I eat a pizza At least once a week You know what I mean Like I eat a whole pizza But it is scrubbed Clean

[00:27:53] Yeah that's right Yeah yeah yeah I clean the whole box out No it's like Luke And Gilmore girls See they like keep telling us That Luke eats healthy And I'm like I don't And he's like slinging burgers And baking brownies And hanging out And like Yeah you're surrounded By cheesecake all day I don't I don't buy it I don't buy it Like Brian Harrell Doesn't eat clean Like that's not Like clean Like that is such a thing That we're just throwing around Where this hippie Downing instant oatmeal Is saying she eats clean Is just crazy Yeah Up to a point obviously

[00:28:21] Until the lights go out I eat clean-ish You know Everyone for themselves I mentioned it before But I gotta mention it again We have to minimize Their DNA That is an actual line In this movie Explaining why They need to burn The house down I have so much Because it's going to Minimize their DNA Like Is that how any of this works So let's just go ahead And unpack this now Because I have so many Other white ones Early in this movie The guy from the beginning The maintenance guy Comes over

[00:28:51] And hands the boyfriend A gun With a silencer on it Yes And says But not many But no bullets at first And says no casualties He hands him a gun With a silencer And says Don't kill anybody So in my head I'm like We want this to be A bloodless crime The reason He doesn't want To kill anybody Is they're going to Burn that mother To the ground They're going to Burn the people Inside it So apparently This guy believes That if you shoot someone And then burn them To ashes

[00:29:20] That's worse Than just burning them To ashes I'll give him this much What he means Is the coroner Will be like Wait a minute There's a bullet I suspect foul play Because of a bullet As opposed to Whoopsie house fire However However I even learned On CSI That If you burn someone Dental records Still last DNA Still last Of course You're not minimizing Anything No Is it minimizing Their Like the

[00:29:51] Criminals DNA Like they Don't think That they can Clean the house Enough so that They won't leave Behind any of their Personal DNA I think he I think he means The victims I don't disagree With you I'm just trying I just I would argue However That what is A big red flag For the Coroner If this is Supposed to look Like an accident Is the fact That all of these People would have A plastic Christmas tree Lights Fused around Their Yeah no one Will know That this was I just

[00:30:20] I couldn't Get over The reason We don't want Any casualties Is because We're going to Burn them all Alive Like I just Like these Guys I thought Were Killing clean This is a Christmas movie So we're not Going to have Any murder No no no That's not why No casualties It's because When we burn Them alive We don't want Any bullets To be around Yes When we burn Them alive You're awful They'll all They'll just have A bunch of Non-suspicious You know Plastic

[00:30:51] Christmas lighting Fused into their Into their joints We're going to Burn them alive But that's okay Fire erases All the evidence Yes Minimizes that DNA Like nobody's business A husband and wife Can't be charged For the same crime Yes they can I've got the worst Attorneys Also you know This movie is over In five seconds If Mr. Trained by the Military guy Is in the house How do we get him Out of the house He just leaves Yeah He just leaves While like

[00:31:19] Everyone he loves Is in danger And then he comes Back at the Convenient moment To prevent the Worst from happening Yeah and he said He went to go Went to go Get the police Because the phone Lines were down I was like I mean Just stay Maybe you stick around And just like Yeah Yeah So Heaven knows He wouldn't want to Like you know Karate anybody Or somebody Right They Okay The nice neighbor Next door

[00:31:49] Who loans him The wrench Gets a hit in the head For his troubles Yep And stuffed into a closet And then when they Find him Rather than like Call an EMT Or try to get him To a hospital They're like Oh well take him Next door And prop him up And get him To a fireplace I'm like Oh yes Jostle the old man's Spine as much as possible Yeah man That's going to be The best thing For him He's been Clocked in the head By a blunt instrument Well at least If he dies He's going to be Back in his own house And

[00:32:18] That's all we want Right At some point It is suggested Because of the blackout And because of the snow And they can't get anywhere That everybody should Hand make presents And the only person That does this Is the mom And somehow In a matter of 48 hours During which A good chunk of that She's being held hostage And tied up She manages To whip up Homemade Crafts for everybody In the house So like

[00:32:47] Kudos ma'am One of which Alonzo Is developing Old film Yeah Did you catch that? Oh that's right Oh god I didn't even think about that You're right In her dark room Yeah Yeah Clearly in the basement She had like All the chemicals When did she do that? And then This might be The worst Last line Of any of these movies I've ever seen The last line Of this movie Everybody's sitting In the old guy's Living room All comfy And cozy And an off screen

[00:33:16] Voice says Is that a rat? And they all Jump on the couch I go Eee And that's the end Of the movie That's true That is your end Of the movie That's true Is that a rat? Fantastic Yeah Fantastic This movie's one Yeah Yeah I do want to touch On something That the dad says Early in this movie When he goes To leave For the airport He leaves early And his son says You're leaving early And he says You know what I always Say about

[00:33:46] Airport travel Three hours early Is always too It's always Two hours Too late My brain's been Broken since this So is he I mean Is he leaving Five hours early? Five hours is a minimum For his time That's the implication here To get there before Like my dad was like At least two hours We're in three For an international flight And I always thought That was a little much But I Yeah I follow that to this day But five Come on Five Yeah I remember Like going on International mission trips

[00:34:16] As a teenager And us having to get there Three hours early Because it was a big group And that was like And even then I was like This is stupid Like I remember How many Cinnabons Can you eat? A 17 year old Going yeah It took us An hour for 20 of us To get through check in And check in bags And stuff Guess what we still have Two hours before take off I just The idea My brain was broken At five hours Being the minimum Flying out of Greenville Where like 30 minutes Is probably good Greenville Yeah Before Greenville's a quickie If they board

[00:34:45] At 7.15 You can get there At 7 And be fine Yeah If you have And also in Greenville Your flight is never Leaving on time So you've got All that extra time Well yeah It's southern hospitality What's great is like Very rarely Do I ever experience Any delays at GSP But you all come in For Bramble Fest And it's a mess No we It's so smooth We do great When we fly to GSP But the day after Bramble Fest They get the memo Everybody Shut it down People are trying To leave Greenville And not return for a year Keep them here

[00:35:15] Can't have that Can't have that I got The power situation Is Oh it's wild So crazy And I couldn't tell If it was because Of the blizzard Or if it was A part of the heist That's how like Confused I was About the power situation It's a complete mystery When the power is On and off in this movie Because they use Natural light the whole time But at one point The lights turn off And then you hear The light switch Turn back on You hear the switch And then they do it again

[00:35:44] Someone's over by the camera Click That's right It's so good Oh man So good And is it ever night In this movie No It's never night No they don't have The budget for that Speaking of Waiting just off camera There is a scene Where Whatever the bad guy's name is Is sitting on the bed He's on a phone And if you look In the corner of the screen You see this like Fabric Kind of come into the screen Like two times And you're like What is that And then right When he gets off the phone

[00:36:14] His girlfriend comes Walking onto The screen With this robe That he's holding Which Yeah She's right off camera And a little of it goes Waiting for her cue Waiting for her cue So Really brutal An all time wait One So funny Yeah Didn't watch the dailies That day I will say This is a At the end of this movie They're all together And his mom Or dad One of them says We're gonna spend Christmas together Every year

[00:36:43] And I just want to Speak to those people Especially the younger ones You're too young To be making a deal Like that You have your whole Lives ahead of you You have families That you have yet to make That you are gonna have to Then convince Hey I know we wanna Make our own traditions But one time There was a heist We were almost burned alive And we made a pact To spend Christmas together Every year Never let the guy Who's closest to death Establish a tradition

[00:37:13] Guys can we do this Every year Maybe I mean maybe For the rest of your life Could we please But not my life I also Got a kick out of She does do the gifts She gives Dustin Who hates Christmas A hat And then she gives This other kid I don't remember his name This other kid Two bracelets And she's like Those are for your brothers Who you're always on FaceTime with That we never see him On FaceTime with But that's neither here nor there Not just that though Good

[00:37:42] Present of peace She then gives that boy A wad of cash And Dustin's just like What the heck Yeah all I got was this I got a hat I got a What Can you imagine being I mean Dustin deserves it He's the freaking worst But still Maybe give the other kid A wad of cash in private Where everybody else can't see And just be like Why did only he get The wad of cash Or give Justin like You know A break on his rent Something Right

[00:38:10] I mean she gave her son weed That's it She didn't even give her son The wad of cash Yeah How much What kind of weed Are we talking about We could be worth more That's true Yeah On the open market That's right Dano Yeah I understand The heist component Of this movie I understand you've been Planning for a year But what happens is Because of a snowstorm There are four teenagers And one military man In the house That were not supposed To be there I don't know Maybe wait a week

[00:38:39] To heist Maybe wait a week Like can you imagine Having 500% more people involved And you still going through With this heist Well If the blizzard hadn't happened Would shady boyfriend And the mom Actually be on the way To Bora Bora Or was that just a story That like So that is like Now we're giving this movie Too much credit For having an actual plot But in theory No one gets hurt Because the house is empty Right Right Right

[00:39:08] That would in theory But at the very least As soon as And then the fact That they decide to go Like we gotta You know what People are gonna be here We'll just burn them alive We'll just burn them alive That's the next best thing To no one getting hurt That's it And absence of military man Does not seem to bother them In the slightest No They never think Okay we're gonna keep an eye out He's gonna be Get back No It's not even mentioned Speaking of military man I waited at least Half this movie For him to change Into civilian clothes They established The heck Out of him being army

[00:39:38] Like as soon as He realizes His flight is cancelled He stays in his army outfit For half of this movie And for the life of me I don't understand Why he did it In the same way That the snowstorm Pales next to The Christmas Prince Yeah Whatever You know The roller skating movie We'll always have We'll always have The worst army Gary Dordam With a jacket From the army navy store I do find that That's true That's true

[00:40:07] He's talking to his ex-wife About how he likes to be early For flights And she's like You know More fly by night Or whatever And she's like Criticize me all you want I've never missed a flight And he looked at her And he goes with a straight face He goes Law of averages What is that Does that mean That you believe That over the course Of her next 40 years On this planet She's gonna miss Like a dozen flights Like what do you mean by that It's gonna catch up to you I don't That doesn't make any sense You're gonna fly out of Greenville Every Bramble Fest

[00:40:36] And you're not gonna be able to It's all stacking up Just you wait Your boy Dustin Is talking to the son Of those two And he The guy The son says You're still a Scrooge And Dustin goes I've never seen that movie So that insult Doesn't work on me That one Scrooge movie Dustin Really Really You've never heard any references To it ever In any other context Do you mean that one Scrooge movie That's been made A thousand times And a thousand different You know Stop it I would say Stop it

[00:41:04] I would say him Knowing it's a movie Is proof enough He understands the reference That's right I don't know Put your phone on silent This guy Allows his phone to ring Until we all want to Stab him I don't know Just put it on silent And he looks like He could be a millennial All of us have had Our phones on silent For a decade You've not heard A peep out of us For a decade Be better We don't do rings

[00:41:34] It would have to be Life or death For me to turn my Ringer on On my phone I don't even know How to do it The volume button On the side Just controls The volume of videos I don't know How to turn my Ringer on I'm serious I'd have to look it up In the settings Are you kidding me Right now Get out of here I have heard Your volume up For videos That's right By accident The next Maybe it's like The social worker From last week Where it's It's a phone only With her Yeah Phone only The neighbor's name Is Mr. Franklin

[00:42:04] And he has ESP Or some sort of Telepathic Behaviors Because This is what happens In real time The power goes out Mr. Franklin Walks in with a cooler That is what happens It's not like he waits Like even if his Next door neighbor Is a 50 step walk Generous My house We live on Our property Like literally I could My house to your house At it's closest Is probably 12 feet But me to walk From my front door To your front door

[00:42:34] 25 feet You gotta find the cooler Yeah yeah That's a whole thing With that Like this guy Power goes out He walks in the door Of the cooler Within one second One second He gets the cooler And walks over I don't know how he does it Oh man the power's out That's right Literally How did he know He's waiting outside Did you say powers out How did he know Can we pause on the cooler By the way First of all Way too small For like an entire fridge Is worth the stuff And they're putting all this Like fruit juice

[00:43:03] And stuff in there And I'm like Could we accentuate The eggs and the meat Yeah please The actually You know One tiny cooler Isn't gonna do it But don't worry The next thing The power's back on And the next thing It's back off So it doesn't really matter Yeah well this is true Who can decide Second of all Like you need Some kind of ice pack Or something In that cooler It's not gonna magically Say cool You put it In a big hunk Of styrofoil They shouldn't call it A cooler though That's deceiving It implies That once you put it In there It will be cooler

[00:43:33] Than if it was not In there That's true That's true Brain good Take that to big cooler Pat Brandy And then I have two left Who came up with that Jared Leto Are you kidding me right now You know what They could put a bunch Of snow in there That would keep things going There you go Yeah it's outside That's free ice Right there I got two more That are both ginormous This kid's bedroom Has a VHS box Of Dr. Doolittle Taped to the wall Yeah That's not Nothing I said Was hyperbole They took the VHS tape

[00:44:03] Dr. Doolittle Eddie Murphy Dr. Doolittle Took the tape out Had the box And they taped it On the wall As wall decoration The kids love physical media The kids love physical media Crazy And then last but not least This is by far Bar none The latest Any henchman Has ever put his gas mask on Ever in a movie Of all time Guys Gang

[00:44:32] The gas is in the air Visible The gas is visible In their nostrils The gas mask is up here And then they wait And then they go Yeah now's the time We've ingested just enough To get a little high You You put that mask on Not because I've done this But because I've seen Enough movies You put that mask on Before you drop The gas bomb out there What are we doing? Why did they do that?

[00:45:01] Just put the mask on first Yeah I don't understand That's all I got It's time for What the hallmark Is where we wonder What could have been Maybe having to Clear any questions We still have What are we still Wondering about? We're talking about Right now Alonzo? Yeah We've touched on this Already But I was trying to Think like How many Subsequent Christmases Do they all Get together And I'm thinking One Max Max Max Max One As sort of like A way to make

[00:45:31] The dad feel better And they're like Okay you know what We're not going to be Defined by our trauma Let's move on They do one And they realize They didn't actually Have fun Yeah The first time Wasn't good either Yeah There's a difference Between having fun And deciding I want to do that Fun again And then You know It's actually just Oh gasoline Was poured on all of us Let's It turns out Even when someone Isn't trying to murder us I don't want to spend The holidays with you Yeah Yeah 100% Mine is Dustin Who the heck hurt you Dustin

[00:46:00] It is a week until Christmas And Dustin is like His parents are getting ready To leave He's not waiting For them to leave To start on decorating For Christmas Even Dan would say This is premature This is premature This is the Christmas hasn't happened yet Dustin just let The Christmas decorations Hang there for one week Let it chill 26 Take it down buddy If you want to do that That's okay I'll judge you I'll record you out my window But at least you wait Until after Christmas

[00:46:29] Dustin's over here A week before Christmas Before this guy's family Even leaves And he's like Get the garland down Take the ornaments off We're getting rid of this tree Dustin What happened Brother What happened Dano Yeah We get to Excuse a lot of trauma That would take place In these Christmas movies For a bunch of A myriad reasons Because they're Christmas movies This woman Meets Falls in love with

[00:46:59] And then lives with Shares a bed with An absolute sociopath For a year A full year And it turns out He was there To rob her And burn her alive The long game And then the next minute Once they've sorted it She is fine Yeah And I just want to know Didn't like them anyway I mean We did a lot for her I guess But man oh man We've got to get her

[00:47:28] She's got gifts to distribute You know God We've got to get her To some therapy Pronto That was crazy Crazy Crazy move Well we did it everybody Congratulations to us We'll be back next week With another one of these So come on back for that Until then Maybe the first to wish you A Merry Christmas Merry Christmas I got it It's fine
