Did you You go nuts for Cinco de Mayo Did you get to Oh, you guys Well, you know of course I wear my Queen of Sparkles shirt with the tacos on it Duh, yeah You have to No, what about you? Did you throw up from like taco eating contest? That seems like a brand thing Well, yeah How would you do in a taco eating contest? Yeah

[00:01:32] I'm not good at doing anything fast That's true When it comes to consuming I didn't know this I'm a slow drinker I'm a slow eater I can't do stuff like that I was talking to your son, Grizz, on the fence His favorite food, tacos Yes By a mile I didn't know He loves the tacos Wait, that's a Wait Whenever I cook on the Blackstone, he'll be like, what are you making? And then I'll tell him And then he'll set, like, we'll go back and forth about food And we were doing top ten foods Oh And he said tacos were number one for him I was like, pizza's number one

[00:02:01] And he kind of was like, eh, it might make my top ten for pizza Yeah, he's been a little bit down on pizza Which is crazy Yeah, he's both of them have been a little bit down on pizza Wait, I'm sorry Out of all the foods that there are Grizz had ten foods he was talking about And pizza maybe only cracked the top ten I don't think he has ten foods But he did We did get into how he likes That night you guys were having pasta noodles with red sauce Yeah And he prefers butter noodles Like, that's how he would prefer Yes, or Alfredo

[00:02:31] Or Alfredo Yeah, well, yeah, yeah, yeah So, yeah, that's He didn't really name any other food He does love the butter noodles He loves the butter noodles He did not lie to you at all during this conversation No, no, no I think All of this is accurate But tacos at one Like, that's a big move for tacos He loves tacos Man Well, yeah, what's he going with? What's on that taco? Is it just beef and cheese? It's just beef and cheese And a soft shell And a soft shell Done and done Although at the Taco Bell He'll go to the Doritos tacos The Doritos Locos He's okay with that Gotcha

[00:03:00] He loves a Taco Bell We'll go to Taco Bell I'll be like, hey, buddy How many do you want? And he's like, load me up Load me up How many can he eat? He can eat like six to eight Six to eight? Yeah That's impressive Yeah Impressive In one sitting? In one sitting Yeah, I was making fish tacos That's what I was making And he was like, I had fish once It was pretty good That's what he said Oh, that's adorable It was the best It was the best That's great Yeah I had it once Yeah

[00:03:30] I had it once It was pretty good That's why I was shocked That his palate in my mind Was expanded to ten foods And pizza wouldn't even crack the list Yeah, pizza He said it's probably top ten Is what he said So I think it's on there But he's down on pizza Did he talk about burgers? He didn't talk about burgers at all Okay But we'll get there I'm sure He likes a burger Yeah He likes a burger It's a bun taco You know who It's a bun taco I tried I had some fish recently with you You did

[00:03:59] You tried Yeah And I liked it Yeah, he tried Black and grouper Well, black and grouper Wait, really? Yeah Look at Brian expanding his horizons I know Now, was it breaded or was it grilled? No, no, just blackened It was blackened and then put on probably a flat top Yeah, that is a way to prepare food That makes sense Yeah It was prepared Yes That's how And you It was prepared Yes Did you have any sides with the bran? It came on It came on It came on Alfredo actually Yeah, a bacon Alfredo Like a bacon something Alfredo Which is probably Why he got it

[00:04:28] That's why I said At worst case I get a nice bowl of Alfredo And it turns out Alfredo was way too heavy It was way too heavy Way too rich But the grouper was excellent That's exactly right, Dan I tried both I got a steak But I was like, dude When I'm in Florida A blackened grouper is my number one Like, that's what I would That's the go-to And I'm going to Florida here in a few weeks On the Gulf Everybody's got grouper They caught yesterday And that's what I eat a lot of Wait, you're not going to Florida at the same time, right? No, no, no, no Okay, but you're going to LA, Dan

[00:04:58] That's not the same as Florida I'm going to Los Angeles In my head, I heard I knew you were going to LA But I was thinking Yeah But that's actually different When he goes to Florida I'm going to Pauly's Island In South Carolina So Yeah, with my family Wait, is this No, not spring break It's summer? No, it's summer Yeah, yeah, yeah Summer here starts May 23rd Yeah Which is crazy The Friday The Friday Memorial weekend Is the last day of school Yeah We don't mess around There are kids

[00:05:27] Yeah In New York That are going to school Until June 22nd That's right Or something like that But then we go back to school Like August 8th So we go back And then In New York Sometimes they don't go back Until after Labor Day Yeah, yeah It's just a shift And it's so cold I don't know why you would go I think it makes sense If you're in New York It actually does make sense Yeah It does Yeah Wow Just get to it Kids here in June Are unbearable If they're still in school They used to do it They used to go to about June 5th or June 7th And they're like What are we doing here And they moved everything up We can't be doing that

[00:05:57] We always go straight To vacation Because there's no Like summer programs They like take They don't start Until the first week Of June The Memorial Yes The Memorial Day week There are no All the summer programs Where our kids would go It just makes sense But you know I think you all could run A really cool Summer program For podcasting That's my nightmare I was like I thought you were going to say That's my dream No For a second I don't know why I thought that about you Like for kids Yeah

[00:06:27] Yeah for kids Wow Right I did a I mean actually I did a course on online radio When I was a teacher And I mean I used to For a summer program I used to be The field trip director I took like Bus loads of kids Places like And kept them safe That was like my job And I feel comfortable Do I Listen I did That was my whole job No one died No one died But Not really The idea of organizing that Here For children Sounds like

[00:06:57] My nightmare Well if you guys ever Change your minds I'll come down But you know what If we did acting Like if you did like One on one acting And we did podcasting Like a media camp For a week Yep If we had It sounds amazing We actually could make A good deal of money I A media camp Would be incredible I think we could make If we had a space To do it We could make a Pretty Yeah we just do it here Every each bedroom Is a Come to this house Upstairs only Upstairs only

[00:08:27] Talk to the Horses and What not And this guy Pops out of Nowhere With a gun And tells her Not to move He tells He seems like He's in a lot Of pain And he doesn't Know where He's at Hattie comes Across an Acceptance letter Of Olivia's That she got From the Ontario School of Art Olivia might Be going to Toronto folks Rebecca notices That her Captor Has a gunshot Wound And she offers To help And he's like Why would You help Me

[00:08:56] Good question There's a New British Dude in town Mr. Maxwell Who is hoping To strike it Rich down At the stream Or so He says Tom shows up And immediately Is suspicious About the way That like Rebecca is Talking when She opened The door And then Homeboy just Pokes the gun Out Get in here Fella They're both Being held Captive now Gonna tie him Up Olivia and Alexander Go to fish And she Teaches him How to Cast that Line City

[00:09:26] Fella Doesn't even Know how To fish Ned's mom Is freaking Out because Ned won't Stop crying So Hattie Helps her Out Tom and Rebecca Finally Convinced Their Captor Eli To let Her Help him With his Wound He opens Up about What happened Apparently A rancher Refused to Pay him For breaking His horse Which is a Good thing You want To break Your horse You want To break The horse It's not Like Breaking Horses Really Fix It's Exactly Right He tries To

[00:09:55] Take the Horse Back Because He didn't Pay him Then they Shot him That's tough So he went On the run Olivia and Alexander Have a great Day together Catching fish Talking about The big city Making eyes With each Other The whole Ball game Rebecca Gets Eli Fixed up And they Encourage him To bring The case To the Local Mountie He'll be Able to Help But before They can Do that The baddies Show up Looking for Him Tom goes Out to Talk to Them He's like Get off My land Get off My land

[00:10:25] I have The papers For it Now Okay Rebecca Walks Him out And says Listen We're gonna Go to We're gonna Go to The Mountie You're Welcome To follow I don't Care What We're Together On the Way back Alexander Shows up And tells The fellas That he's Taking this Kid into Custody And that They can Press charges If they Want to Rebecca Tells Tom That she Was impressed With him Today And the Episode ends With the British guy Mr. Maxwell Snooping around In the woods What is he Up to And that My friends Was Hope Valley

[00:11:54] Wait I literally Was like Overcome By how Gorgeous And flowing It was And the way That it was styled With the half up And the tendrils Down Look It looked pretty But this Was Va va Boom This is not Frontier hair It is not Frontier No It's not Frontier hair But hey No You know what Craiko got her Hair cut And she looks Beautiful But I'm Missing my Long locks In Hope Valley Missing my

[00:12:24] Long locks In Hope Valley I got you I needed this I really Enjoyed This episode A lot I thought There were a lot Of really Lovely scenes I was really Interested The whole time Olivia Teaching Alexander How to fish Even though he Already knew And the chemistry There I was like Okay That was And it's also The fun little Reverse Yeah They flipped it Teaching a woman They flipped it But the fact That he actually Did know how

[00:12:54] Made sense That he knew how And I thought It was cute And a cute admission Like I loved All of that I thought that All of this stuff With Rachel And Ned Was very sweet And Hattie Wanting to Help her So Really Overall This one Was really Hitting for me On all cylinders I really Enjoyed it And I'm I'm Gonna say That The things

[00:13:24] That Tom Said about Rebecca In this episode I'm back on One of them To kiss big On Last week You were so Out on Tom I really was You guys I don't know What happened And then this Week The lady The lady Speaks for herself Is all you needed To hear Thank you So much The lady Speaks for herself Is You know me So well That's exactly Right If he would Have said Something About like How she's So wise And listening To her That would Have been Too much That's right

[00:14:53] Dude I'm Bringing that Commotion And it's Just not It's good It's good And so It goes You know The biggest Takeaway Here with This show Is that Turns out I don't Just dislike Wind Calls To Heart Because of The time And place In which It takes Place Yeah Turns out It's just Not very Good Yep That's my Big takeaway Here Dano So last Week I was Thrilled to Report this Show did not Bring any New characters Into the mix This week They brought A thousand They have Mr. Maxwell

[00:15:22] Who's British And possibly Up to no good They have the Guy holding up Rebecca at Gunpoint They got the Whole scuggins Gang They got All of these New characters Which is a Bit much And unfortunate When I feel Like we should Be building To something Else Having said That Pretty good Episode Of TV You get Some really Good Tom Rebecca Stuff here You get the Boarding House Kind of Coming to Fruition And becoming A thing You get A little bit More of the Love triangle The Olivia And Lachlan Quarmy character Fishing scene

[00:15:52] So a lot of Good to be had Here And yeah It's almost Look I'm not Here to call Any of the Principal leads In When Calls The Heart Bad actors That's not What I'm here To do Because I think They are gifted And talented But someone In our Facebook Group Bramblejamplus.com Talked about Starting watching When Calls The Heart And they didn't Hate it nearly As much As they Thought And I In the Comments Put the First season Of When Calls The Heart Is almost Like a Different show If you Remember Really serious Character motivations Dark Murder A lot of

[00:16:40] But the leads Is kind Is kind of This Is kind of To provide Whatever Performance Or whatever She needs To all The different Settlers Out here In what Will become Hope Valley Obviously Bethany Joy Lenz is too Good for this Television program She's unbelievable

[00:17:11] Hair notwithstanding I mean with Bad hair She'd still be Too good for this And then she's Got that hair Jack's talking about Are you kidding me Ben Ayers It's my favorite Ben Ayers Performance I love what He's doing here So yeah Like Great Like elite Acting Can raise The bar For bad Television When you have Fine television I think this Would have been A fine show With other actors I think the Actors right now Are really making It sing So yeah I got nothing To complain about What's the song

[00:18:40] Let me take care of you But either way Bad boy That boy Evoked something In me And I want her To take care of Eli So that was really Beautiful Also Patty Taking care of Rachel and Ned I was so overcome With that And then of course The fishing The little light Touches Of Olivia On Alexander And watching him Try and reel That fish in Like They're really They know what they're doing

[00:19:09] They know what they're doing And they got me They got me They got you They got you good Listen Every time Baby Ned Is on the screen I can't stop laughing The fact that it's Ned as a baby Fantastic I can't get over the fact That they could have Chosen any Chosen any character On When It Calls to Heart Any number of characters And they chose Ned To introduce as a baby And it tickles me It tickles me Every time he's on screen All I can think about is Ned Yost

[00:19:39] When It Calls to Heart You know Not Apparently In his 50s So Not even a little bit Every time it happens And this was saying 45 year old Ned We got a little Ned storyline Here this episode And I'm here for that Dano Yeah My All the feels goes to One Oliver Rice Oliver Rice is the actor That plays Mr. Maxwell I'm not here to say He's up there with Bethany Joy Lenz and Ben Ayers What I am here to say is Is this poor guy Has been put in More Hallmark movies

[00:20:09] And they want him To have an American accent If you go and find Some of the movies he's in Where he's supposed to be American It is tough sledding Shout out to Hope Valley 1874 For letting this guy Have a British accent Because he's from out there And it's amazing What happens When he can use His normal accent How much better Of an actor he can be Because boy howdy There's some times In Hallmark movies Where like What are we doing here But Oliver Rice Is crushing it in this And I really enjoyed

[00:21:08] It is It's episode 7 Of this program 7 of 8 Penultimate as some would call it Some would call it Right Let's get to the way What So we're talking about What in this episode May just go away What I'll start with you Jax I only have one And maybe you guys Can help me figure This out Because I think She's an incredible actor So I don't think It's a shortcoming In her acting But when Bethany Joy Lenz When Rebecca Discovers Eli I'm not saying That she needs to be

[00:21:38] Like how I would be IRL And be screaming And be like So tense and scared But To me She was like So calm That it almost felt like Like I didn't expect her to scream And I didn't expect her To be like Terrified But I actually Like did not feel Tension like At all And I wasn't sure What was going On there And for me Like I watched it back Like three times

[00:22:07] And it I just never felt The tension Is that just me Because I'm a skittish Little thing I think this episode Is good In spite of The Eli gunpoint stuff I don't think That that I think that It leads to some good stuff You know With Tom coming And then The scene on the porch And then Showing how Tom Is starting to like Relegate his I'm You know I am the law person Persona I think it leads To some good stuff

[00:22:36] But the like A lot of my Wait what's Are like This guy Literally has a gunshot In his shoulder If she just waits him out He's gonna die Like Yes She just literally If she waits him out He's going to die She doesn't seem scared She also seems None of that worked I'm with you I'm with you None of that Okay so it didn't work Okay That's Yeah the whole thing To me Just It's the worst part Of this episode In my opinion Is the It really is Kind of a storyline Yeah

[00:23:04] I do think it Once the gang Comes into town And The Mountie Gets involved Then I'm fine With that storyline But the initial I feel like we've seen That a thousand times When it calls the heart Where they take him To that same cabin In the woods You know That's exactly And so maybe I have a little PTSD From how bad it is there But I'm with you I think she Obviously Rebecca Has seen some stuff And has lived a life And has done a lot of things And lived in the big city And lived in the small town And you know

[00:23:33] Is on her own And independent But she is like You know Like she's drugged up Calm in that scene Like she's very Very sedated Yeah It feels drugged up Calm And I do Like I imagine It's almost like Even the energy That I have When I'm like Calming down a child Having a tantrum And like you're A little bit elevated But you're still calm Because you know You have to make sure They don't do anything Yeah I didn't even feel that And that's what I thought Yeah Like even if she was You just don't know What this person's gonna do

[00:24:03] So I just thought That all of that Didn't ring Is through Yeah She didn't feel It looked like She was ready for anything She did not look That way at all I'm with you I'm with you There you go Yeah Okay alright To that point though I don't know why he Popped up in the first place Yeah Actually you're right She's just kind of like Meandering around And he's like Ha Like there's a good chance She would have walked by Without even knowing That he's there

[00:24:33] I feel like he Kind of wanted to get caught Alright Yeah Because he must have Known he needed Help Yeah I guess so I mean he's dying Like he's gotta I know that That storyline doesn't work For a lot of reasons But also you'll get help If you pop up and you go Oh no I've been shot That's right Instead of Yes Leading with gun You don't lead with gun Later they try to write

[00:25:25] Yeah Yeah And then I can't help but wonder Like when does This town Which currently doesn't have a name I don't think When does it finally get its own jail Because this is Yeah man Becoming a bit of an issue here Where he's constantly having to take people Is it Buxton? I feel like I heard the word Buxton A thousand times Yeah This is a problem We gotta get this place A little jail We gotta get this place A little jail You gotta get a little jail We're not really a town Until we have a place To incarcerate our citizens

[00:25:56] What Dan said What Dan said Dan anyway What? Yeah At the mess tent They're drinking some coffee And someone comes over To give them a refill And what a great kettle In 1874 that is That looks exactly like The one in my house right now It's an unbelievable And that one's electric That's an unbelievable An unbelievable kettle That they have On the homestead And I know that they're doing

[00:26:25] Their best here But that was A little bit egregious Kettles are kettles You know they always happen Somewhere in the process Of Eli's shoulder hurting He starts really dragging His left leg And I would love to know If the pain has just Just gotten down there Or It was a choice That he decided to make Somewhere along the way Let's shoot you in the shoulder And see what happens Yeah Eli's walking normal He's walking normal In about minute 30 Of this episode He's like What if my left leg

[00:26:55] Can't move at all And I mean I guess It could be a nerve block From all the way up there But it seemed kind of weird To me It seemed kind of a weird Character choice to make 30 some minutes Into the episode To be like I was reading on WebMD That after a while Your leg will start Like It was weird It was weird You know There's that And listen You know what's going to Stop our boy Mountie What's his name That I can never remember Alexander Our boy Mountie Alexander You know what's going to Stop him from ever Taking a day off again

[00:27:25] Having all this happen The first time he takes A day off Yeah I like He doesn't take a day off And then he decides I'm going to take A day off And on his first day off Gunshot wound Full gang comes to town A British prospector Like All hell breaks loose Because this guy decides To go Get taught how to fish By Olivia I mean He can't be feeling Great about it Tough timing That's for sure He can't be feeling

[00:27:54] Great about it You know This is before You know The American Socialist Party Helps us get our Five day work week Which look it up That's what happened That's a real thing I didn't make that up For those of you Who didn't know Socialists been around That long This is before we have Our five day 40 hour work week Courtesy of the American Socialist Party I don't So I don't This poor guy Is just He thinks he's going To have to work Seven days a week Like he just is So Sucks for him That's all I got All right Well let's get to

[00:30:21] On when calls the heart He was A Mountie Could Michael Fletcher Be the son of Eli Fletcher Inspired by The The Mountie That in In In a sense Saved his father's life Decided that he was Going to put on The red coat himself The problem Grant This is beautiful This is No sorry Maybe not But I think of it No I think that You You've Just done too good A job here This is really good stuff I mean Yeah

[00:30:50] You're gonna set the bar so high For what The problem though Is apparently he's only on When Hope Calls Which is like Not a show that They would claim So you know I don't know I don't know if it's anything It could be something I don't know I just figured I'd throw it out there Yeah It's my hope that It's all connected Yeah So The They make it We tried to guess how many rooms Were there In the In the boarding house Last week If you remember I know It feels like I remember Yeah I think we said

[00:31:20] 7, 10 I said 10 Is what I said And she is currently Boarding Mr. Maxwell She's boarding Ned's parents And Ned And she's boarding The Mountie Alexander Yes And then herself And then herself And her daughter Four rooms And she said I still have a few rooms to rent So I Like I'm fascinated If she's gonna Like Like how many a few is Like how much are they gonna play with this Right
