[00:00:03] Hi, I'm Bram and I love freebie Christmas movie. I'm Dan and I despise freebie Christmas movies
[00:00:11] I'm Alonzo and did we watch a freebie Christmas movie and this
[00:00:16] Is a day
[00:00:19] Markets is podcast
[00:00:22] Friends host is podcast
[00:00:35] Wow
[00:00:37] Just giving up on saying deck the hallmark podcast correctly. Yes. I feel like we're on like a streak
[00:00:42] I've given up I've given up entirely. I don't know man. This movie is everywhere. It's everywhere and nowhere at once everywhere everything
[00:00:49] Yeah, of course. I best for the sleepy kitty paws website. I think it landed on freebie first, but
[00:00:56] Yeah, and you may also know it as peppermint sand postcard. That's right. Well we did for sure
[00:01:01] We were at the premiere. We knew it that way. But yeah for most most laymen
[00:01:06] I think it is it is it's a Christmas thing on freebie
[00:01:11] Alonzo you have a new book out. You're also I believe a year older. Is that correct?
[00:01:19] It is true. Yes. This is one of those boring in-between five and zero birthdays, but I did have one
[00:01:24] Happy late birthday to you my thank you and he has celebrated by releasing a book. That's pretty good
[00:01:31] Yeah, I don't do anything in half measures
[00:01:33] You know, he said I will only put this book out if I can put it out the week of my birthday
[00:01:38] That's exactly right. Yeah, if not, I'm not doing it. Well, congratulations on both things
[00:01:44] Wonderful book and lots of I've seen lots of great feedback about it
[00:01:48] But all the double-deckers that have bought it and I've talked about it. It's wonderful
[00:01:53] Alonzo we're getting close to
[00:01:57] Bramble fest and I know that you're excited
[00:02:00] I want to know what's the thing that you're most excited about about coming back to God's country of yada Greenville
[00:02:06] Well, I mean, you know, I love hanging out with the double-deckers
[00:02:09] They're they're fabulous. Shout out to Tracy by the way who schlepped all the way to Palm Springs to be my no other one
[00:02:19] Slept all the way to Palm Springs for my book launch that was very sweet of her
[00:02:24] So yeah, I love love that hanging out with those folks love nerding out with Scott
[00:02:28] Of course about all things Christmas because you know, I Lee he's in Colorado only get to see him at Bramble fest
[00:02:35] But yeah, just I mean all of it seeing you know hanging out with you guys being in yeah that Greenville family reunion
[00:02:41] That's right. Now you have now Alonzo. You've made it a two to three times a year habit now coming to Greenville
[00:02:46] So you're pretty much true you pretty
[00:02:50] You should have a second house. Yeah, I know I should have a pieta tear
[00:02:53] That's right in Greenville just you know for convenience sake real estate's not getting any cheaper. I would go for it
[00:02:59] I
[00:03:01] You have texted me so I know the answer to this but I imagine you have heard me and Jax talk about how we don't
[00:03:07] watch old movies
[00:03:09] Yes, you know I was I was
[00:03:12] I was driving back from Palm Springs and listening to that episode and I was like, oh boy
[00:03:16] Here we go. And and and Dan just kind of kept grilling y'all the whole episode and I was like, oh there's a show in
[00:03:21] But I thought it was saw like the sting is a softball like Paul Newman
[00:03:26] Like
[00:03:28] Alonzo no agreed
[00:03:30] I mean look there's a lot of stuff that that clearly a brand and or Jax have not seen that are that are fun and breezy
[00:03:36] They're just they just have the misfortune of having been released before
[00:03:40] 1990 so how would they know not much in cinema you wrote a book or not much in cinema happened before 90 really I mean
[00:03:47] Yeah
[00:03:49] Ducks really wheels and we figured it out since then
[00:03:52] You know what? I mean? Like like Spielberg took a few mulligans with ET and jaws and then Jurassic Park. He figured it out
[00:03:57] He he got it, right
[00:04:00] Then I have seen all those movies
[00:04:03] Close encounters the third cut. Yes. Okay. So at least you're do you got your son in theaters as well a couple years ago
[00:04:10] It's a good movie
[00:04:12] Let's talk. It's a Christmas thing another cinematic masterpiece
[00:04:17] Released on December 10th
[00:04:19] 2023 and it went a little something like this
[00:04:22] So Cara's daughter Megan is really excited about this Christmas why you might be wondering because they're crazy
[00:04:30] They're going to invite Cara's ex-husband Chris and his new
[00:04:36] fiance
[00:04:37] Suzette
[00:04:39] They're gonna call spin Christmas together and it's gonna be great
[00:04:43] Not there's gonna be no friction between this family at all. And if you think I'm being sarcastic, I'm not it goes perfectly
[00:04:50] So they all get to go together to pick out a Christmas tree together and we then meet Chet Walters a
[00:04:59] TV news reporter who is just trying to find a happy family to interview
[00:05:05] So he stumbles upon Cara and immediately starts interviewing her and it doesn't go great
[00:05:11] especially when he starts asking about why she's single as
[00:05:16] Every reporter does with every single woman that they meet on the streets
[00:05:20] All Megan wants though is for her mom to be happy
[00:05:24] So she writes a letter to Santa and everybody knows you put it by your open window at nighttime and let the letter
[00:05:30] Fly away, and it'll go to Santa except in this case. It does not go to Santa
[00:05:35] It ends up going to a guy who owns a bakery and he thinks that this is cute
[00:05:40] And so he hangs it up inside of the bakery
[00:05:43] And Suzette walks in she sees this takes a picture of it and posted on her Swiftie accounts we love
[00:05:51] Swiftie Graham, we're swifty. It's what to Graham. That's right. And so your Swiftie account
[00:05:55] They would probably get sued for that. They might Swiftie grant not all
[00:06:00] Taylor Swift stuff but mainly but also pictures of
[00:06:04] Need their own Instagram. I really do
[00:06:08] And so it uh
[00:06:10] This begins to gain traction on the internet and
[00:06:15] Chet sees it and so he shows up and asks Cara if she'd do an interview and she's like, yeah
[00:06:22] I'm not gonna do an interview, but that doesn't stop
[00:06:25] The the letter from going viral and she is now coined on the Internet as Santa mom
[00:06:33] Finally Santa mom agrees to let Chad do an interview and he is clearly quite into her and
[00:06:39] They set her up. They basically are going to try to find her her Santa daddy
[00:06:45] and so
[00:06:46] they set her up on various dates that they are going to
[00:06:50] record for entertainment purposes as you do for the local news and so
[00:06:57] Set up with one guy and it goes okay, but she's kind of into this and kind of wants to do more
[00:07:02] So naturally all this is for the show
[00:07:05] So Chet is around the entire time and anytime there's a break in the action or before or after
[00:07:11] she and Chet are are talking and
[00:07:15] There's another guy that she goes out with who says that he's good at skating but clearly he's not he just liked the attention that
[00:07:21] This whole thing gave him there is then this the coffee shop owner from from earlier and he
[00:07:29] has known her for a very long time, but it's kind of
[00:07:32] Realized that maybe I maybe I should have a chance with her
[00:07:35] so he bakes her some baked goods and and they end up going out on a date and
[00:07:41] It doesn't go. Well Maxwell is very nervous around the cameras
[00:07:46] He doesn't really know what's going on because he didn't plan any of this
[00:07:49] All this was planned by Chet and the squad and so he's not really sure what's going on and check gives him these tickets to
[00:07:56] the Christmas
[00:07:58] dance time everyone knows that everybody loves it and
[00:08:02] He's like, okay. Yeah sure whatever now there is a conversation that happens
[00:08:07] Where she's like hey Chet did did you do all this or what like what's going on basically?
[00:08:13] And he's like no, this is just you know, it's all for the show and I we know Maxwell blah blah Maxwell horse
[00:08:19] We all get it and so she realizes after this date that
[00:08:24] It wasn't as magical with Maxwell as she thought that it would be the sparks weren't quite there
[00:08:31] Also Chet has now been offered because of how great this is going a big promotion that would take him away
[00:08:37] And so she wants to maybe explore things with Chet, but she finds out that Chet
[00:08:44] Chet's just Chet's gonna be moving. So she gets really mad
[00:08:48] She gets really mad and all this stuff and she's like, you know what?
[00:08:51] I'm just gonna do this one last thing with Maxwell
[00:08:53] We'll go to the dance and you could do the thing and then this is done. It's very mad
[00:09:00] Chet's you know, just thinking just with his thoughts but the daughter also hears this. Yes. The daughter also hears this
[00:09:07] and sometimes you just have to
[00:09:10] take a second and
[00:09:12] Realize I think I like this woman. I think I like this woman and so at the dance
[00:09:18] Everything kind of finally comes out and he begins to give this big speech
[00:09:22] He's like I was gonna go and get this promotion and it's at this point that she begins to walk away and then he
[00:09:29] Professes but I'm not I have found out that I really like this woman and all this good stuff
[00:09:34] And so they come together and they kiss
[00:09:37] And those are their postcards and your peppermint and that was it's a Christmas Day
[00:09:44] Sort of we did it did I miss something?
[00:09:47] No, I just like it was it's such a you saying it all Oh made me realize how like
[00:09:54] It barely all hangs together from one scene to another
[00:09:58] Which is how the guy take I would never jump ahead
[00:10:01] It's held together with a pepper like you kept saying stuff
[00:10:03] More to it than that and then I was like, I don't know if
[00:10:07] All of it, let's say a quick break we'll come back we'll break down. It's a Christmas thing here on deck the Hallmark
[00:10:23] Welcome back. It's a Monday. We're talking about the 2023 movie. It's a Christmas thing
[00:10:29] Let's break it down. We're gonna start with our hot take
[00:10:31] We're gonna share exactly how he felt about this movie and I will start with Alonzo Alonzo. What'd you think? I
[00:10:40] I
[00:10:42] Understand what we're doing here, you know, I I watch these movies through a particular filter
[00:10:48] I'm very much grading on a curve
[00:10:51] I know
[00:10:52] The shape and the form of these movies and what they're out to accomplish and what buttons are out to push in people
[00:10:58] I get it
[00:10:58] I'm not I'm not coming in and trying to hold this up to a standard that it can't live up to
[00:11:07] this movie
[00:11:09] Slid off my brain as I was watching. Yeah, it just it is so
[00:11:14] Inconsequential and so
[00:11:16] such
[00:11:18] Even by the standards of this these movies that we do here every week. It is such
[00:11:23] nothing, you know and
[00:11:26] Like it may be thinking about the movies like this that I like better that do the same thing better
[00:11:31] Like the whole thing of you know, it's the exes and the husband has a new fiance
[00:11:36] But they're getting along and they're trying to they're not being like, you know crabbing at each other. I thought oh, yeah
[00:11:42] Remember crashing through the snow like how well that movie did that?
[00:11:46] You know and just all the things along the way just felt like this is this we make this joke all the time
[00:11:53] but this is so feels like an AI version of one of these movies that a
[00:11:58] computer that has never met people or Christmas wrote and
[00:12:01] Yeah, it just I I was
[00:12:04] Desperately trying to remember it while I was watching it. Yeah
[00:12:09] Yeah, that's accurate and it's tied like I we like Chris Russell around here and it's always good to see him
[00:12:15] He's great on the camera
[00:12:17] but yeah, there's just not a lot a lot to it and
[00:12:21] It's a nice enough story. I will say like the one
[00:12:25] Thing that this movie did with it that I you know, it's hard to do but I I
[00:12:32] Did actively dislike Chris Russell's character, which is never what you want
[00:12:38] Out of the the leading guy characters offensive. He's a yeah
[00:12:43] He's just a jerk and you know
[00:12:45] Lots of times these characters starts as jerks and then they you know, turn the corner turns out
[00:12:51] I think he's just kind of a jerk. Yeah, and I'm sure we'll get into the why's
[00:12:56] Behind why we think that later on but it's never good when you have a movie that is
[00:13:04] Airing on the boring side where the only thing that you really remember about is boy
[00:13:08] I really didn't like that character. That is never a good sign. And so if the movie happened it looked good
[00:13:15] It seemed like it, you know, they would have made for a similar budget as the other networks that we review have
[00:13:23] But there's just not a lot to it. They know yeah
[00:13:25] This movie is Vincent D'Onofrio in the skin suit in men in black it from up from a very far distance
[00:13:33] It looks like Edgar. It looks like a Christmas movie and then when you get closer you realize
[00:13:40] Whoever's in there thinks it's a Christmas movie
[00:13:43] But it is not all
[00:13:47] Acting and walking the way that it should walk as a Christmas movie
[00:13:51] Yes, do they have eight nutcrackers and six wreaths and four trees on a porch?
[00:13:57] Yes, but they are not doing the thing that they think they're doing. I think that they think just the presence of these things
[00:14:04] Produces the thing that they're trying to make and it doesn't the other Chris Russell's characters a jerk
[00:14:09] I won't be the first to mention it. I'm sure if it gets to me in the way once I'll be shocked
[00:14:14] He does some stuff in this movie. That is just unbelievable
[00:14:17] But also and I'm trying to say this while being very above board
[00:14:22] I've never been more thankful for like time spent on
[00:14:28] quality supporting casts than I have in other movies the way I have watching this movie because
[00:14:34] after Chris Russell
[00:14:37] It gets tough in a hurry in this movie and so all of that with a plot that is easy
[00:14:43] It's a softball plot. We've seen it before
[00:14:46] This is a plot that should work really well doing a story on people since yeah
[00:14:51] Like you should be able to knock this out easily to screw this plot up
[00:14:55] It takes work and they did it they took a date. That's because they're an alien in a skin suit
[00:14:59] They don't actually know what's going on here. So yeah, not not great. Not great
[00:15:05] What's wild is is that
[00:15:07] Now I'm not gonna say it. Never mind. It's time for all the fields. We're talking about what in this movie gave us those feels Alonzo
[00:15:14] Well, you know weirdly to piggyback on what you're saying about the Chris Russell character
[00:15:18] I think the the two times I wrote down feels in this movie was I love her initial irritation with him and
[00:15:25] That she has a legit reason to be mad at him at the end of the movie because he's being a jerk
[00:15:30] Yeah, he's an a-hole. He is something. Yeah
[00:15:32] Yeah, you have to look as good as Chris Russell to do
[00:15:39] You get arrested oh, yeah, I am I got real excited for a moment here because this little girl writes this letter
[00:15:47] she puts it by the window the window is open and
[00:15:52] We get like this, you know
[00:15:54] Mysterious music shine the wind blows and I'm like we got some Christmas magic and I felt really excited about that
[00:16:01] And then they you know to their credit. They they squash that really quickly
[00:16:06] They don't let me get carried away in my excitement because it turns out as someone's just gonna post a picture of it
[00:16:12] And that's gonna be the end of it. No Christmas magic at all before a second there
[00:16:16] I thought that there would be and that made me happy Dan. Yeah, I think Chris Russell's a jerk in this movie
[00:16:21] I think the only the only redeeming factor of this movie
[00:16:25] Is is Chris Russell I think knows what he's dealing with and is clearly trying to have some fun doing the thing he's doing
[00:16:34] And I don't know how to make that make sense don't go watch the movie for that
[00:16:38] But either he's just head and shoulders are better actor than everybody else's or he knows exactly what's happening here
[00:16:45] And he's gonna make the most of it
[00:16:46] but he takes some he take he takes some risks in this movie that I I
[00:16:51] Just can't believe we're on the paper and and that does make it
[00:16:55] It's the only thing memorable about this movie is some of the stuff that Chris Russell and his character do that's all I have
[00:17:00] I'm gonna take a quick break come back. We'll get to the way what and
[00:17:03] What all mark free V?
[00:17:07] Here at a dollar
[00:17:09] Who should say the name?
[00:17:18] Welcome back everybody we're talking about it's a Christmas thing
[00:17:22] The title of this movie because it isn't peppermint's and postable
[00:17:28] Postcards made a little bit of sense the original title cuz she got a lot of
[00:17:34] None of them were postcards that we could see
[00:17:37] Yeah, no it doesn't make sense
[00:17:45] It is time for the way what is where we talk about what in this movie made us go away
[00:17:48] aside from the title
[00:17:50] Saying you would like in describing the movie you wouldn't get it. It's a Christmas
[00:18:00] All right, so the first time we see the Chris Russell character
[00:18:04] He's a TV news guy and he's like I'm here live at the bakery
[00:18:08] And then something happens the the baker guy freezes or there's something wrong with the interview
[00:18:13] And he goes and cut and I'm like okay, then you're not live
[00:18:17] You're not live if you're and cut means you're not
[00:18:22] Loose with if they are live in this movie it is absurd
[00:18:26] Yeah, we are it comes up
[00:18:28] We are supposed to believe that when that red light is on when we look through the camera that they're alive
[00:18:33] I think we're supposed to believe that and we're never alive, and I don't think we're ever live in the movie
[00:18:39] Yeah, no, I think you're right
[00:18:42] Yeah
[00:18:45] This is another movie that this came up a couple weeks ago, I forget which one now
[00:18:50] This is a real snow that looks like fake snow movie. Yeah, like they shot it in the winter
[00:18:55] There's snow everywhere and yet when they get up close with it and have to involve it somehow
[00:19:01] It looks like a movie with fakes
[00:19:03] And go ahead finish. I mean I don't know how you do that
[00:19:07] Well, I will say there's one scene where she the girl throws snowballs at our two leads and the snowballs just bounce off
[00:19:15] Of them like ricochet like no snow
[00:19:18] It just did ball like it's like a bit throwing up
[00:19:20] So like I don't know what's going on there's snow on the ground looks real when she throws those snowballs
[00:19:25] They are wiffle balls like they are like I just don't just ride. I like so I don't know what's happening there
[00:19:32] Yeah, it's baffling
[00:19:34] And okay, this is a movie about a woman who goes viral because of her single status and
[00:19:42] every
[00:19:43] Message online is positive and affirming and encouraging and I'm like have they been online ever
[00:19:52] Because somewhere amidst all of those encouraging messages would be some real toxic
[00:19:58] We've never dealt with any group of people or fan base that has ever had anything negative to say now
[00:20:03] This is maybe it's just us. Yeah, we always would be you don't ever catch that at all
[00:20:18] Not a single stalker no one's weird so maybe you wouldn't be single if you lost another 20 pounds
[00:20:26] Cut that if you could Lee
[00:20:29] Everyone's on the other side
[00:20:32] You wouldn't be single
[00:20:34] I have a few one
[00:20:36] I've never felt sadder for a character than when he picked up his phone because he had a notification and the
[00:20:43] Notification was just that he has no new messages
[00:20:49] This this phone reminding you you're a loser passive-aggressive
[00:20:55] From an FU notification
[00:20:59] Thank you phone for that word of defamation
[00:21:05] No
[00:21:07] All you have to say is nothing
[00:21:09] No, that would be the way to get across that. I have no new messages
[00:21:13] We promise we check we checked we checked the spam folder. You got nothing another loser love to show you some
[00:21:20] she
[00:21:21] He comes over finally to do the first interview at her house, and he basically tells her to go change
[00:21:28] And then she comes down the stairs and his eyes get super big and we're like oh great
[00:21:35] He can see her except no he can't because his eyes are big before she even walks around the corner
[00:21:40] So he was just anticipating
[00:21:44] Tori it is like she's still hidden from view and we get the shot that is in all of these movies where it's like
[00:21:51] Oh my gosh look at how good she looks and she's not visible. You can't see her. It's cancer real tough
[00:21:58] Also about this interview that he does he says all right, so let's start with your divorce. Yeah, which is huge
[00:22:06] So bold it's bold. It's crazy, and then when she pushes
[00:22:11] She pushes back. He's like we can always move stuff around in post and it's like well, maybe yes you could but also
[00:22:18] What if you just start in it the order in which you want it three crazy things happening there one?
[00:22:25] He he basically asked the hardest question first, which if you've seen any
[00:22:31] Journalism courtroom drama anyone where anybody's trying to get someone to answer a question
[00:22:36] You don't just come out of the gate with it like you warm them up you warm up
[00:22:40] Yeah, exactly you Tom Cruise to wasn't just like did you order the code red like he built?
[00:22:45] To the code red you build to the code red man like and then second of all why I asked this first because we can
[00:22:51] Just chop it up
[00:22:53] You made a lot more work for yourself and your editor and second of all how you gonna edit that to where it just goes
[00:22:58] How about the divorce like it's gonna be a bad edit man?
[00:23:03] You might be wondering why she's single to begin with don't worry. We got to scoop do it is
[00:23:09] And last but not least on the biggest. You know offense of this guy being a tool is
[00:23:16] You know you need to watch philo TV for this
[00:23:19] early on in the
[00:23:22] Dating process she's very
[00:23:25] hyper like
[00:23:29] Right so she starts talking and he tells her hey, how about any time?
[00:23:34] I feel like you're going a little overboard. I just give you one of these numbers. You know taking
[00:23:39] Some fingers and putting them closer together to tell her to quiet down just a little bit right and you know it's not how
[00:23:45] I would do it if I'm the producer. It's just run-of-the-mill bad
[00:23:49] That's what he wanted to do and she didn't seem to be bothered by it and so because of that
[00:23:55] throughout the movie whether it is for the story or not if
[00:24:00] He feels like she's being a little bit too much
[00:24:03] he does this motion to her whether it's for the story or not and
[00:24:10] That's crazy ladies. He looks like Chris Russell, but every time that he thinks you're being a little bit much
[00:24:16] He's gonna give you a lower the volume
[00:24:18] Just to lower the volume just a little bit too much
[00:24:21] He's it's like he's this movie is made has said the quiet part out loud there. He's literally quieting women
[00:24:28] He's silencing women
[00:24:29] That's what he's literally like this is a cute bit the cute bit for this movie is that I'm gonna do this
[00:24:35] I think he even does it in the love declaration at the end. I think he does this right before they kiss
[00:24:42] He does it
[00:24:44] Don't like it. It's real bad. I Alonzo are you are you frozen? Are you dead or what's going on there?
[00:24:52] Dan oh, what do you got? Um? Yeah, DeLonge. Did you have something to say there?
[00:24:56] You look like you're about to talk
[00:25:04] Dan what do you got?
[00:25:05] Yeah, a couple things
[00:25:07] First of all they go to a tree lot a Christmas tree lot and the Christmas trees for sale in this lot are either
[00:25:13] Completely no lights completely full of lights or lights just in the middle
[00:25:18] So like just in the middle portion of the tree. I don't know why you would sell a tree like that
[00:25:23] I don't know how you got lights just in the middle without plugging them in to light up, but they did it congratulations
[00:25:29] The most ridiculous character in this movie is the stepmom Suzette who they they say
[00:25:37] Is French and she is as French as French fries or French as mustard
[00:25:43] She has taken three continents worth of accents and put them into a melting pot
[00:25:48] None of which are French. She couldn't be less French if she tried
[00:25:54] Just watch her say things it is it is worth the movie to watch this supposedly French woman
[00:26:00] Speak it is an absolute riot
[00:26:03] This little girl leaves it's it's snowing outside
[00:26:08] She leaves a letter to Santa on her open windowsill, which means she is sleeping in a room
[00:26:15] Where it is under 32 degrees and the wind is blowing
[00:26:20] I like it cold as much as the next person ain't no way that kid's sleeping. She's not there's no way it's happening
[00:26:27] No way no how
[00:26:29] Not an issue. We also see that our leading lady. What's her name?
[00:26:33] I don't remember her name Cara Cara
[00:26:35] Gets bags and bags of letters from men all across the country that want to date her all positive as Alonzo said
[00:26:41] Bags and bags of letters and then she says offhand. I'm gonna write him a thank-you card back
[00:26:48] Cara has committed now. I don't know. Did you write thank-you notes after your wedding or did?
[00:26:55] Yeah, I did so I tried to help out yeah, I tried my best to help out
[00:26:58] It was a miserable experience and we had to write maybe a hundred Cara has I?
[00:27:05] mean, I'm gonna lowball it
[00:27:07] 500 thank-you notes to write just because
[00:27:11] Dudes are interested in dating her. So what's the mom saying is that she's gonna what Santa mom?
[00:27:17] She's gonna have to get 500. Thank you cards and write dear such-and-such. Thank you for wanting to date me
[00:27:24] Sent put it in the mail. Thank you. I
[00:27:27] Just I just I you know, I don't get that one at all
[00:27:32] We get a classic in this movie the classic we get is
[00:27:36] Chris Russell's character got the promotion. He's been waiting on for two years
[00:27:40] Yes, and we know what that all means he has to leave Christmas Eve night after the dance
[00:27:45] So not Christmas Eve day
[00:27:47] He has to leave after the dance it's like 930 Christmas Eve night
[00:27:52] He can't leave any later than that. If not, he won't be there in time for the midnight
[00:27:58] Christmas Day
[00:28:00] Promotional thing that they're doing on the news channel wherever they're doing it
[00:28:04] Yeah, so I got that. That's all I got
[00:28:09] Thanks Dan, oh it's time for what the
[00:28:12] Home are I guess where we talk about what in this movie minutes?
[00:28:14] I wonder maybe got some questions still. I don't know. Maybe you're still wondering about some stuff. We would like those answers
[00:28:20] Alonso, what are you still wondering about?
[00:28:22] You're just like she just clearly belong with the Baker like I don't I guess so fine to get nervous with the camera on
[00:28:32] It's up. It's like that's that seems to be the real couple that should be happening here
[00:28:36] And maybe not a guy who's gonna like direct your emotions for the rest of her
[00:28:40] Can I tell you that early on in this movie?
[00:28:42] But the one saving grace to me was
[00:28:44] The Maxwell character and the car character had such strong chemistry that I was like
[00:28:49] Maybe it turns out Chris Russell's a jerk and these two end up together and then they do this thing where all of a sudden he
[00:28:54] just
[00:28:55] Yeah, he just can't he nails. Yeah. Yeah
[00:28:58] He can't like do anything because the cameras on and so the chemistry isn't real. I just thought it was ridiculous
[00:29:04] I do want to know like how
[00:29:07] like what
[00:29:08] What kind of was the plan with?
[00:29:12] the
[00:29:13] Story that he was working on was it gonna play on Christmas Day?
[00:29:17] Did they air it's like how did all of it were they showing it in real time?
[00:29:21] Does it seem like the Christmas Eve thing was live? Yeah, that was like one time where I thought it might have been live
[00:29:27] I yeah
[00:29:27] They they didn't leave me give me any reason to think that it wasn't
[00:29:31] Aside from the entirety of the movie so far and how it's not live. Yeah
[00:29:35] So
[00:29:37] Yeah, I just have questions about it was it airing live or was it all gonna air on Christmas?
[00:29:41] What's cut or were they airing it? You know throughout the the leading up to Christmas? I don't know. Oh, yeah
[00:29:47] I do what the homework here the free VVVVV is definitely
[00:29:51] Nigel the the Nigel character, which is the second date
[00:29:56] she goes on this guy steps out of like what appears to be a limousine or maybe some sort of car and
[00:30:02] immediately starts signing autographs and
[00:30:05] I assumed it was because he was a celebrity that wanted to date Santa mom
[00:30:12] We he gets down the stairs and we find out no
[00:30:15] He's I the way I understand it is he's signing autographs purely because he's going on a date with her
[00:30:22] Is that the way we're supposed to understand that?
[00:30:25] like yeah, I just I
[00:30:29] Need to know more. I need to know more about what's going on there. I just I have no information
[00:30:34] We didn't get enough Nigel Nigel. It's not Nigel. That's Nigel for you. Yeah, we did everybody
