[00:01:08] June movies when Hallmark really over on Hallmark Channel these movies are under the umbrella. I think this is new

[00:01:15] I don't I've never heard of this before past more thinkers

[00:01:32] They're all the world's so that's exciting National Park National Park November. Is that coming? Oh gosh, I hope so

[00:01:39] Actually that would get in the way of the Christmas movie. So now you imagine instead of a Christmas movie you get a national

[00:01:44] I I would I'd probably say we should hang it up. You would be writing an actual letter

[00:01:49] I like we there's no point in it written a letter soon

[00:01:52] There's no point in doing this if we're if in November we're not watching Christmas would say to who it may concern

[00:02:02] It is great to be here today talking about these June movies I'm very excited about it they get started on Saturday

[00:02:08] so just so just tomorrow basically, I think and

[00:02:12] Really excited to dive into these movies because we got some some friends of the show

[00:02:17] Really? I know nothing

[00:02:21] That's a good question what happens in June April showers bring May flowers

[00:02:55] Keep your streak going be two for two here. Yeah. What do you got anything?

[00:02:59] Okay

[00:03:03] Yeah, I don't want to do that lightning lightning bugs those are cute

[00:03:09] Let's go let's go let's just do passports. What about June bug? Okay fine. Let's do June bugs

[00:03:14] I don't even know what it is cicadas. Okay, let's do June bugs up first is for Johnny Cash called June Carter

[00:03:22] June bug

[00:03:24] Five movies so I will move one cream. Yeah one cream

[00:03:29] Wow

[00:03:31] The first movie for love and honey

[00:03:36] starring

[00:03:37] The name of the movie is for love and honey. Yes, okay got it starring

[00:03:42] Andrew Walker, okay and Margaret

[00:03:46] Plummy Margaret Clooney cannot be correct

[00:03:49] you and I e

[00:03:51] Clooney L you see L you and

[00:03:54] I e Clooney it's gotta be Clooney. I think so

[00:03:58] Margaret Clooney, okay Wow

[00:04:00] We got a Clooney in this movie trip. Well beekeeper Ava

[00:04:04] Ava

[00:04:08] Keeper Ava uncovers an ancient fresco, dude. What?

[00:04:22] Ancient they were drinking fresco those that long ago

[00:04:26] No, no, it's fresco over there. It's fresco. Yeah, it's over there. It's fresco honeybee. It's an ancient honeybee

[00:04:32] I guess oh, it's a type of be type of pretty sure it's a can of it's gotta be soda

[00:04:38] Yeah, I've got a hundred beekeeper Ava uncovers an ancient soda while rescuing a hive

[00:04:46] Austin spelled a US T in

[00:04:50] a visiting

[00:04:52] archaeologist

[00:04:53] Thinks that it's the key

[00:04:55] Things that it's the key to his research so he persuades Ava to help him on his quest across

[00:05:05] Malta's where we go and we got a beekeeper

[00:05:08] We got Andrew Walker as an archaeologist and we got Malta. Is it enough to get us fives across the board? Let's find out

[00:05:15] right

[00:05:17] For June bugs for me and I am using my cream

[00:05:20] Wow

[00:05:22] Out of the gate cream multiple reasons Andrew Walker cream obviously Malta cream Malta cream

[00:05:29] Popeye movie set cream. Oh, no

[00:05:32] Save the bees cream. Absolutely

[00:05:35] 100% it's gonna be beautiful. These are important to say they're very very important not lost you can kill those mothers. Oh, yeah

[00:05:41] Oh, yeah, we need those. They are important to our life. So is that gonna make you go? Hi

[00:05:45] I

[00:05:48] Will say I

[00:05:49] One for the be and not for Andrew Walker. I love Andrew Walker

[00:05:52] I don't know about Clooney and I also don't know about this plot

[00:05:57] It seems like there's a lot happening and I don't like any of it

[00:06:03] Beekeeper Malta ancient soda Detroit like what like there's a lot going on

[00:06:09] It's not it doesn't seem like a solid 83 minute situation

[00:06:13] So, you know what I'm interested in is why

[00:06:17] so Austin

[00:06:19] Has been doing some sort of research and find out about this ancient soda

[00:06:24] What is why is that gonna cause him to quest across Malta? I don't know. I don't know

[00:06:30] That's the thing is is any you've already said this sounds your least favorite genres, which is we found this ancient this writing

[00:06:37] Yeah, and we're trying that's exactly what I say treasure hunting

[00:06:40] Is this a treasure hunt an ancient treasure hunt movie that makes me nervous, but I will give it

[00:06:47] Three right down the middle. I'll hold on to my cream. Yeah, I can't believe Brian out of the gate just

[00:06:55] Yeah crazy you could you crazy cream crazy

[00:06:59] up next

[00:07:02] It's called oh, I got a mystery first. I got a mystery first. Mmm. This is

[00:07:08] tip-line mysteries

[00:07:10] Dial dial one for murder Wow playing on Hitchcock there. It's bold

[00:07:16] It is starring Holland Roden. Okay, and Chris McNally man. All right. All right

[00:07:24] Yeah big time

[00:07:25] Maddie Moore

[00:07:27] Is a concierge at a hotel in D

[00:07:31] Troy

[00:07:32] Michigan who moonlights as

[00:07:36] Moonlights at Detroit Free Press in their tip-line department

[00:07:41] Most nights calls run anywhere from alien sightings to lost cats, but one night however Maddie receives a cryptic call

[00:07:50] warning of a jewelry heist

[00:07:52] When Maddie brings it to the police she finds that her on that her usual

[00:07:58] Complacent contact has retired and that her that they've been replaced by the newly promoted

[00:08:05] detective Beaks

[00:08:07] Beach

[00:08:09] Like a Beaks

[00:08:10] I'll play my McNally

[00:08:12] Unfortunately despite his stellar reputation as an officer detective Beaks doesn't take Maddie's anonymous tips any more

[00:08:19] seriously than his predecessor

[00:08:22] Maddie who has always taken

[00:08:25] Exhaustive notes isn't ready to let it go using an app that allows her to listen to the city's police scanner

[00:08:32] She overhears a dispatch call about a jewelry heist involving a possible homicide

[00:08:38] Immediately connecting it to the anonymous tip Maddie rushes to the scene of the crime only for detective Beaks to beat her

[00:08:44] And turn her away not beat her

[00:08:49] Beaks is beating people you saw the best of the Beaks I remember

[00:08:53] You know

[00:08:54] undeterred

[00:08:56] Maddie decides to invest doing this. Oh, yeah

[00:09:00] This is the long. This is the one long one. I have

[00:09:02] Undeterred Maddie decides to heard I don't think that's necessary. We've ranked the movies yet

[00:09:08] Maddie decides to investigate on her own something

[00:09:13] Sometimes using her day job as a cover and she continues to cross paths with detective B

[00:09:19] Remember her day job. Yeah, her day job is concierge at a hotel. I know

[00:09:25] when Maddie's insights

[00:09:27] Proved to be useful detective beats reluctantly joins forces with her however

[00:09:33] however when the

[00:09:34] Investigation takes a dangerous turn Maddie begins to worry for her that her number might be up. Oh, yeah

[00:09:42] Yeah, oh boy

[00:09:45] What do we think about this a new mystery a tip line?

[00:09:49] I like when you said the title I was intrigued

[00:09:52] I feel like they gave too much like they gave too much way too much. You say tip line mystery and

[00:09:58] She's a hotel concierge. She knows so obviously she knows a lot about the city

[00:10:02] She knows the ins and outs that would have been plenty and then just a little bit about the brutality the beating

[00:10:09] Just but to so much information

[00:10:12] I'll still give it the benefit of the doubt. I'll go three and a half June bugs on this one right down the middle

[00:10:18] It's just like you're made of June bugs. You just give it a man. Well, I'll take it we can't take it with you

[00:10:22] Yeah, you can't

[00:10:24] That's how you feel

[00:10:26] You can't you don't have to I I'm starting to get a little perturbed

[00:10:31] And it's not under turn under turn under turn perturbed

[00:10:35] and I'm it's not this movies fault, but Hallmark has released a bunch of

[00:10:40] Mystery pilots. Yes, we had the Tamara one. That was really good Samara

[00:10:45] We had the Justice League one with Nikki to look Ben Ayers. That was really good

[00:10:49] We had curious the mystery the cases whatever mystery lane, but they are doing a sequel of that one

[00:10:54] So we've had those three in the last year plus

[00:10:59] right

[00:11:01] More than that, so they've also done at least five. Yeah, right there's the sis the family me history mysteries the Jodi Sweeten

[00:11:12] Can we make some sequels? I don't want sequels to Hallmark movies. I don't want a sequel to what they're never good

[00:11:19] Maybe three wiser men and a baby will prove me wrong

[00:11:21] They're never good even all the Holly the second one was a little bit of a little little drop

[00:11:27] Please mysteries are where we need the sequels

[00:11:30] Please stop making new wheels and make a sequel to one of these movies that was actually good

[00:11:36] And it's because of that that I'm not giving this a fair shake. They gave too much away

[00:11:41] Half a June bug half a June bugs all its get I'm going for June, but I think it sounds like a lot of fun

[00:11:48] You just want to be involved in a tip line. That's you. Oh my gosh

[00:11:51] You want to answer one you want to call?

[00:11:53] I want to be involved

[00:11:54] I would love it and I don't know that I think they I think it's gonna be a really good time

[00:11:58] I think I I have high hopes for this one. I'm going for high five for living

[00:12:03] I'm gonna hold on to my cream for for a bit

[00:12:08] Yeah, it's not the time it's not the time to cream no, it's not the time to cream

[00:12:12] It's time to go to a break though. We'll be right back with some more movies to preview here on

[00:12:16] Deck the Hallmark

[00:12:26] Welcome back everybody

[00:12:28] We're talking about some June movies that we'll be covering here on the pod and we've done two up next is

[00:12:36] savoring Paris savoring Paris Saturday, June 8th

[00:12:40] with

[00:12:42] Bethany Joyland, okay. Okay, Stanley Weber who Weber

[00:12:49] And band Viggens

[00:12:53] Ben Wiggins beaks

[00:12:55] Ben got it. Okay got it

[00:12:58] delusioned with her life

[00:13:00] Ella

[00:13:01] Embarks on a soul-searching journey to Paris where she navigates love eats

[00:13:09] self-discovery and

[00:13:11] cheese

[00:13:13] Amidst the enchanting backdrop of the city of love. That's all I got for you. Wow

[00:13:19] There's literally nothing there except it's eat pray love in Paris

[00:13:24] Orleans, I don't know man

[00:13:27] What do you think?

[00:13:28] Yeah, she's gonna do a great job. It'll be fun watching her romp around prayer at Paris

[00:13:33] Did you know one of us has a 10-year streak of French?

[00:13:37] crazy

[00:13:39] Your streak taking French lessons and we don't talk about it producer Aaron Shay, can you

[00:13:47] Explain yourself. I'm sorry. Yes only

[00:13:50] For you should be fluent. Are you kidding me in 2025? I'm learning. I'm gonna commit to be in fluent in Spanish

[00:13:57] I'm serious. That's my goal in 2025. I'm telling you right now, but Aaron 10 years. Yeah 10 years

[00:14:02] What is it say for yourself in French?

[00:14:04] This feels cruel because I told you I don't do I speak French because I understand

[00:14:10] This not a bit

[00:14:12] Brian was saying about how like he doesn't actually work here

[00:14:16] He just keeps showing up hoping we'll pay him and I said in my French lesson yesterday

[00:14:19] That was like the story I had to read was about great. You're better yourself. You're taking French

[00:14:24] Yeah, he was like we mean French. I was like, well, I've been doing duolingo every day for 10 years

[00:14:29] So I'm really good at like reading French

[00:14:31] I'm not great at speaking it because I don't know anyone else who speaks French. So I don't practice how many

[00:14:38] Minutes in a day. Do you have to have to have a tint to have a streak like to consider a day of doing duolingo?

[00:14:44] You have to do one lesson every day. So how long is one lesson? It depends on I mean

[00:14:49] Minutes our like like 10 minutes. So we're doing five and ten minutes. Okay Wow

[00:14:54] Ten years in years. You've not missed a day

[00:14:56] So I've used a streak freeze like twice two streak freezes, yeah very similar the creams

[00:15:02] Absolutely fascinating. Yes, but only two streak freezes in 10 years

[00:15:06] That's insane. I feel like if I had done anything for 10 years you everybody would know about it

[00:15:10] I would shut up about it. Yeah, I'd say I talk about all the things that I've done

[00:15:14] I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie

[00:15:18] I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie

[00:15:21] I'd say I talk about all the time. I'd have a shirt made about it. Well, you open up a different bank account every day

[00:15:26] That's right. Yeah. Yeah

[00:15:30] But so congrats are you excited about this movie you think you'll get sweetly

[00:15:34] Yeah, I mean I've I've liked I mean I liked the crimes of fashion one because I did use French

[00:15:39] I did understand what they were saying

[00:15:41] She didn't bring out a movie and and try to you know, figure out what they're saying. That's what I'm saying

[00:15:46] To bring out a movie and and try to you know, figure out what they're saying

[00:15:51] Here's what I think about this movie. I think Bethany Joy Lenz when she

[00:15:56] Gets to just run the show. She's unbelievable like don't get me wrong great with palaha great with Heinz

[00:16:02] but when when Bethany Joy Lenz is the

[00:16:06] like

[00:16:07] No questions asked star of the movie

[00:16:09] Those movies are way better than they have any right to be if this was any other lead I would be like

[00:16:14] Okay one for Paris, give me two and a half right down the middle wow and a cream two and a half

[00:16:20] And a cream

[00:16:22] I I just feel good about this being better than average. Yeah. Yeah

[00:16:25] There we go, Brian. Did you know I didn't everything about it sounds generic, but i'm here for it because Bethany Joy Lenz

[00:16:31] Yeah, she puts it above I think we'll get some nice lights. Um, it'll be nice. Nice. Nice and lit get some nice lights

[00:16:38] And lit

[00:16:40] We're gonna get three

[00:16:42] For me three. Yep

[00:16:44] Uh, i'll go five but i'm not creaming it. It seems to no, okay

[00:16:49] No, it just seems too on the nose on the nose. Sure, you know, we've had Andrew Walker

[00:16:53] We've had Bethany Joy Lenz. I want to give someone else a try

[00:16:56] With the cream, okay, you don't want to cream either one of those two. No, okay fair seems to it

[00:17:00] Seems to out in the open. I'll let my i'll let my uh, June bugs do the talking for me

[00:17:04] Okay, clearly very excited for that movie

[00:17:07] um

[00:17:08] You're right. Bethany Joy Lenz is walking around Paris would be

[00:17:12] Fun, so we'll do a little story around it and we'll have ourselves a good day

[00:17:16] So i'm i'm excited. I think it's gonna be a good one and i'm excited to go to Paris

[00:17:21] Oui, oui. Yeah, oui, oui. Sure. VV uh up next a greek recipe for romance

[00:17:29] This is starring daniel

[00:17:31] c

[00:17:32] ryan

[00:17:33] Now let me explain is that two people or one person or what happened daniel c ryan

[00:17:39] Ryan c daniel. Okay

[00:17:42] daniel

[00:17:43] The letter c period

[00:17:45] Ryan, why all the stuff? Why all the you put on it? I didn't do anything

[00:17:51] Right. I said daniel

[00:17:54] C. Ryan daniel c. Ryan. That's how you would say that

[00:17:58] That's not how I would say it. That's how you would say i'm just saying it

[00:18:01] It led us to believe that it was a lot more than it was. I I don't uh, that's your problem. Uh, rafael

[00:18:08] Uh, the host of the show. Don't worry about it

[00:18:11] korea talkies

[00:18:13] Rafael korea talkies. I'm sure that dude you are so racist

[00:18:19] You you made fun of people from two different cultures with one name, you know what he would say to that that's his problem

[00:18:24] Yeah, that's right

[00:18:26] rafael

[00:18:28] Korea talkies

[00:18:30] Kareo talkies. Yeah, that's pretty good. Carry probably kareo talkies is what it is. That's pretty good eyes

[00:19:00] This

[00:19:01] This is it. He's a greek actor who went in the military. Oh, you gotta be kidding me this guy

[00:19:05] I don't know. This looks like it. That's not the one do we get a bio on that's not the one there's nothing

[00:19:11] There's nothing about tattoo down there

[00:19:14] Yo, he does tattoo down there

[00:19:18] Would not have noticed. Yeah, man, but brian did I got a tattoo man? Okay, his idv is not complete

[00:19:23] Here's the uh info from uh, the hallmark website. Rafael was born in athens. Greece

[00:19:27] Yeah, he rose to fame as a lip sync performer and model on tiktok

[00:19:33] Who is widely recognized for his self-titled account?

[00:19:39] His performances have received more than 21 million likes on the platform. I wonder why

[00:19:45] Uh, he is also an actor good. He's in the movie

[00:19:50] And has appeared in 238 episodes of the greek tv series

[00:19:55] agts elias

[00:19:57] That's yeah, so

[00:20:02] Man

[00:20:03] uh after a recent setback

[00:20:05] Abby heads to greece to visit her mom and decide what's next while there she meets theo

[00:20:14] That's my dog. That's my dog's name. She meets theo and they team up to open a restaurant

[00:20:20] What how?

[00:20:22] Yeah, that's wait a minute

[00:20:25] Together first, but will abby be able to

[00:20:31] Here's I just okay while there she meets theo and they team up to open a restaurant period

[00:20:37] Okay, but will abby be able to stay question mark?

[00:20:41] And that's it. It's not she was just there visiting. Why would she open a restaurant?

[00:20:45] Go to a place set up shop and like

[00:20:47] Leave I don't think you should open up a restaurant with someone and then still at the end be like am I able to stay?

[00:20:54] right

[00:20:55] uh, wow

[00:20:57] Wow, wow, wow. Uh brian. Yeah, I think uh, he doesn't have a lot of credit

[00:21:02] Oh, he's got a bunch of credits on that show but tiktok

[00:21:05] I feel like he is gonna have a good time with this and be like really fun to watch. Um

[00:21:13] Showing up on a vacation

[00:21:15] And decide to open a restaurant is a weird move

[00:21:17] Yeah, I would just not but this so it could be a little wild i'm going for junebugs on this one

[00:21:23] You are just you're just they're just like freddie. Yeah, just hand these things out like your zero is three

[00:21:30] Your zero is three everything is in the three to five. It's theirs to lose

[00:21:34] There's you looks to lose sounds miserable. It sounds miserable because

[00:21:40] Deciding to open a restaurant while on vacation is ridiculous one two

[00:21:45] On top of that you have the issue where now we're going to get a lot of shots in a kitchen or cooking instead of grease

[00:21:51] It's a big zero zero for me. I didn't think it's a zero zero for me

[00:21:55] You're not going to see grease you're going to see a kitchen instead. It's all that just the worst of both open air kitchen
