[00:01:00] Oh boy, yeah Whatever that one was Turns out it was the third Christmas Shoes movie It was the third Christmas Shoes movie, which I'm not above doing the Christmas Shoes movie have Rob Lowe in it? Rob Lowe and Neil Patrick Harris, yeah What? Wow, what a stacked cast I'm not opposed to doing the Christmas Shoes trilogy in the future It did feel wrong to do the third one No, you can't do them out of order and I feel like unfortunately I need to watch those Yeah, yeah, absolutely Yeah Yeah

[00:01:30] But it worked out okay because we had other stuff that we could throw in there and it allowed us to Always, always We didn't really need an excuse to do Killer Clown But we got one But it worked out great We were like, we gotta get Killer Clown on the calendar It worked out great Because Lifetime announcers are doing a movie called Killer Clown My eyes get a little big because I'm, I, that sounds actually scary Yes And you know, we know the title of the movies and Lifetime usually give away the plot

[00:01:57] But this is literally just giving it all away There's a Killer Clown Yep And we're gonna see what happens Is there any mystery as to who the clown is? Yes Okay, good, great, great, great, great Awesome That's the, it's still a Lifetime movie in that sense where we're trying to Absolutely Yeah, get the killer and whatnot Absolutely But it is, it's just called Killer Clown That's it Killer Clown And I asked Patrick if we should do this movie and Patrick said absolutely yes But apparently you are very scared of clowns

[00:02:27] I am very scared of clowns And this movie confirmed that feeling Yeah, I was definitely having like the anxiety or like fear Where's the, that fear come from, Patrick? So, I was thinking about this Let's really unpack this, okay? Yeah I would love to hear it Really unpack it, really unpack it So, I don't like clowns I've never liked clowns One time a clown came into Starbucks and I had to walk off the floor

No, that's what they call it, man The floor of the coffee area Oh, you were working at Starbucks I was working at Starbucks and a clown came in to order and I was like, I'm sorry, I need to just leave And I just left You had to walk off the floor, got it Yeah So, there was this like, you know the cover of It? Like where the clown With the balloon or the old one with Tim Korn? The old one Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, with the face on it Oof

[00:03:22] That was like a book cover that was like sitting on the bookshelf in the basement for a long time Like, I guess my parents read it at one time and they just like left it on the bookshelf Probably not thinking anything of it But when you're walking to the basement, every time you walk to the basement, you see that creepy clown I think, I think I would just, you know, basements are scary, now clowns are scary Have you ever had a few clowns, Dan? It's as simple as that No, although I think It is a really effective movie or TV series, even the Tim Curry one

[00:03:49] I think they're both very effective and I enjoy the It movies immensely I do remember the Greenville Clowns Do you remember this? Do you remember the Greenville Clowns? Did the news make it up there? Yeah, they used to do like door-to-door mailing Like, you know, dropping off balloons and gift cards No, different Greenville Clowns There was in, what was that year? Was that 21? Possibly There was a year where there was sightings of just a group of clowns hanging out in the woods in Greenville

[00:04:19] People would like take pictures and be like, hey, I just saw the clowns And the clowns would just be standing there Yeah What? In the woods? Yeah, in the woods Yeah, I got an article here It is from, it's from 2016 Scroll up, scroll up, what's that picture? Is that? What is that? That's an old basketball I was like, is that a clown? No, it's just a basketball Reports of menacing clowns lurking in the woods Sometimes allegedly offering kids cash to follow them Have the residents of Greenville, South Carolina This is an NBC News story

[00:04:48] Oh my gosh Have the residents of Greenville, South Carolina looking over their shoulders and even brandishing their guns The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said As if they need an excuse It has boosted patrols around the Fleetwood Manor apartment complex after it learned that men opened fire into woods behind the complex last week Residents told a deputy that the men were spooked by what an instant report described as recent clown activity That's what we People say about this show This recent clown activity

[00:10:09] Yeah He he Little giggles Yeah Man I'm so in on this The he's And they're still Totally fine They're like Love clowns And they're free You won't believe The cookies we were making Right before you were around The candy gram we got With a clown Was fantastic In the middle of the night Exactly Yeah But then The clown pulls out a gun Yeah Well that's when you know It's a killer clown You know That's when you know

[00:10:38] And I wasn't expecting gun I was like This is definitely Gonna be a knife movie But no It's full gun Um The clown Shoots the mom And she's like I have a daughter But it's too late Shoots him And the daughter Is right there Sees the whole thing What's crazy about this thing Traumatizing Is obviously Is traumatizing But the clown Pulls out the gun Mom goes Please don't I have a daughter Okay Clown puts the gun down She turns around

[00:11:07] Starts to run He shoots her In the back As she's running away Dude that is Peak clown killer there That's That's You think you're safe That's what That's somebody That wants to watch The world burn Yeah That is That is peak Clown killing Yeah I was like That is That's evil That's a lot For a lifetime It's a lot It's a lot You know We don't really do Like gun violence We do like Tire iron violence Or Yeah or if they do Gun If they do gun Violence It looks so bad

[00:14:02] In any setting Yeah Yeah I did love that The clown was like I'm just here To give directions He was so disappointed That she was scared Of the guy Scared of him Buddy You're in a corn maze At night Like get out It's like he was Surprised That she was scared But like Yeesh I don't know Right Maybe if he was Holding a sign That was like Directions Or something It would be Less scary But it was scary Her delayed Trauma is You know Back But then She goes home

Yeah So Liz goes to the basement She is There's a box That says Samantha The mom's name on it That the dad has been saving For all this time She opens the box She opens the box Oh no And pulls out A red nose She looks at it And she's like What could this be?

[00:19:00] You know I don't I don't know Yeah In her defense Mom did like clowns We know that because cookies Because cookies That's right You know Maybe mom had a A nose And who knows What she did with it Who knows I see what you did Who knows What she did With that nose Maybe Maybe her And her husband Liked to dress Like clowns Okay Sure Or it could be An old Halloween costume We don't know There's a lot of things

And then She sees a clown Standing outside Of her house Like in the street Yeah And the clown Goes hee hee hee And then does a little wave Yeah Are you How creeped out are you Patrick? This part Yeah I was like Oh this has gotta be a dream If this is a dream I'm cool I'm cool

[00:20:28] But then Something happens Where the clown Has the balloons Right And then At the front door Just like before Yes But then you hear Gunshot And Like the balloon One of the balloons Popped I guess And Splattered Red paint All over her To look like blood Exactly Yes So Liz is covered In like What she thinks is blood She's freaking out She calls the police She's like

[00:31:37] Exactly Liz goes home Um She Is sitting Drinking some wine She has the wig On Her head Why does Liz Her mother You know It's belonged to her mom She is terrified of clowns Yeah but maybe it's like Immersive therapy You know Like She is She's not wearing the nose But she has the wig She doesn't put it Put it fully on her head It's just like sitting On top of her head And her husband It's like Amari

[00:32:06] When they bring on the people That are like afraid of pickles And they bring out a jar of pickles It's like that It's like that Yeah Got it It's like the pickle jar Amari Yeah Exactly right So the husband comes home He sees this clown From behind And he gets out like I don't know A golf club He's about to like Beat down on this clown And she's like It's me What are you doing And he's like Why are you wearing A clown wig Fair That's a fair question There's a killer clown On the loose She says

[00:32:35] It belonged to my mom And that's the end of the conversation About why she was wearing the wig Yeah It belonged to my mom Yeah Okay So So I can wear whatever I want That's exactly right Yeah Lay off me Okay Jeez So Liz starts losing it You know She is Thinking she's seeing clowns everywhere She goes to the doctor And the doctor's like Oh you know You're just having like Things from The

[00:33:05] Pregnancy And like you know If you want to Start trying again You're good to go You're medically cleared She leaves the doctor's office She only tells her husband That she's going to the doctor's office First of all And In the parking garage We get Another creepy clown Stalking her In The garage Very much like The golden girls When Rose Is being chased In the parking garage Very scary Exactly like that Very scary That's right And This time Liz

[00:33:35] Peeps the shoes That's right She does the thing Where she looks under the car And sees the shoes And Same shoes That her Husband wears Dan Dan Oh no Yeah Dan, Helen And Sheriff Sheriff Big Boy Are the three suspects right now Okay Right Everybody Everybody And she's like Oh no Suspect My husband I should have known I should have I should have thought about this

[00:34:05] He's the only one who knew About my doctor's appointment But how 30 years ago Would he have been old enough No But you know Of course So The assumption there would be Not that it's the same killer But you know My husband's doing this Copycat Yeah Copycat Very scream two Scream three Scream four Scream five Scream six Scream seven That's the same excuse That he gives When she Confronts him about it Which is like Why would I do this Yeah Like what

[00:34:33] Motive would I have But also do we ever confirm That the original one Was killed No Okay So it's not like It's still an open case We don't know It's still an open case So And Speaking of motive She's like You're right What would be your motive You know who would know Maddie finds a motive That's right She goes to the She knows motives She knows motives She knows motives And Maddie Finds A motive Is like I'm so glad you came To me And found me On social media

[00:35:03] And then came to my apartment That's what happened Like she But she means it honest Like Of course She's not being sarcastic About it No I said it's sarcastic Because That's how I speak People think I'm being sarcastic All the time When I'm being serious I do That happens to me too That happens to me Pretty regularly It's a hard life I've said something to my wife And she's been like Thanks a lot Daniel And I've been like I was I was not trying to joke I was being serious I'm really sorry Yeah Yeah

[00:35:32] So there's that It's a blessing and a curse It's like you're funny But It's not easy being married to you Dan That's fair That's more than fair Work wife It's not being easy Married to any Dan That's true They're all tough That's what we've learned In this movie So she goes into Maddie Finds a Motive's apartment And Maddie Finds a Motive Has something That Liz has wanted But hasn't been able to get Because Sheriff says Can't give it to you Because it's an open case It is the case files From her mother's murder

[00:36:02] How did Maddie Finds a Murder Have this box She had all the case files The whole box The whole box The whole case files Yeah This is like some Hannah Swinson stuff Dan Guess where she got it from Guess where she got it from Sheriff Big Boy Oh That's her dad She just went into his office And the home office And pulled it up Oh my gosh We don't actually find that out Until the end of the movie But yeah That was That was Dear God How'd you do it That's my dad That's my dad He wanted you to solve the case But couldn't give you the files

[00:36:31] Because it's still an open case So And he And he lost them Because I stole them That's right Boy Mm-hmm Mm-hmm So they see Some forensic evidence That shows that The mom was shot In the back of the head Uh-huh Which is important Because there was a rumor Going around that She staged the killing And it was What do we call it now Where you Well She unalived herself Unalived herself And this rumor That there was not Actually a murder

[00:37:01] But that she unalived herself Was spread By her father Her father said That Liz's mom Was kind of going crazy Um And that Uh You know She did this to herself And dad is like Now concerned That her That his daughter Is seeing clowns When there's no clowns And is like Are you okay? Are you going like crazy Like your mom was? That's kind of the Uh

[00:37:29] What dad is pushing right now Boy Gaslighting Gaslighting for sure That's right And But The But the proof That the bullet Was in the back of the head Would lead you to believe That she did not unalive herself But that she was indeed murdered Yeah Exactly Exactly And while they're reviewing All the evidence Uh Liz gets a call from Aunt Helen And Aunt Helen is like The clown is in my house And if you cut to Aunt Helen She's on the phone The clown is like giggling And like in the background Very scary And you're like

[00:37:59] Aunt Helen is toast Aunt Helen is cooked Yeah It is done So she Done Liz runs to Aunt Helen's house And this This is her Liz is talking to her dad The The conversation with the dad Happens A little bit So it still could be the dad Yeah She's in She's in Oh yeah Maddie's apartment I got you When she sees the thing When she gets the call Yeah when she gets the call So she goes to the house And this is where In my opinion The best little Clown scare happens

[00:38:28] Which is Okay tell me Tell me This is my favorite one Where she goes up the stairs In Helen's house And just in the background Is the clown It's great Like a hereditary Like a hereditary And then when she She goes She gets to the top of the stairs And walks around Like in front of the camera And the clown's not there anymore And I was like Okay Nice We're doing it here Lifetime I mean All the scary movie things There were jump scares In this I mean

[00:38:57] I was scared My anxiety was high When we got to the life Or the more lifetime-y parts I was like Thank goodness I can't take this I gotta like Check my blood pressure Yes So Aunt Helen Turns out being fine Not murdered Thank goodness Wow And They go back to Maddie finds Emotives apartment And there's a Childhood drawing That Liz did Like after the murder To like To explain the scene To the police Or something

[00:39:27] And she sees it It triggers a memory In her head And she sees The clown Mask Like come off A little bit Right And she knows Who the clown killer is She knows Okay It is And the clown killer is Her dad Yeah That's what I was gonna say So She calls Her dad's house And Anna Anna His wife Anna

[00:39:57] Answers it And she's like Where is my dad And she's like He's down at the old Fall fest Taking down billboards Before kids can put graffiti On it Or something like that Gotcha And so she goes down there To confront Old dad But I am I am fully expecting At this moment Patrick For her to show up At the fall fest And for dad not to be there Because There was a clown In Helen's Place That's right Right But Yes Yeah He's there He's there

[00:40:27] He's there What a quick costume change For him You know what I mean Yeah Exactly And like It's It's coming all back Full circle We're at the fair You know You see all the same stuff We did at the beginning Of the movie Very creepy And there's This track I sent it to Brian Because I was like This song is so good All throughout the movie They're doing like Little Remixes of Itsy Bitsy Spider Like creepy Itsy Bitsy Spider music Yep And then In this part

[00:40:56] The daughter And dad Are like Fighting And like Yelling at each other Hit me Oh it's so good Sticking stones They're gonna break Your bones Okay So

[00:41:25] So they're fighting And this whole thing Is going on And you're like Well he's obviously Not gonna kill his daughter Right Yes So She She comes fully ready to fight She has a tire iron Yeah Our favorite lifetime weapon And he's like What's with the tire iron What You know I I killed your mom Because I was having an affair With Anna And You know I just Didn't Your mom Was just like Not She was gonna Get custody of you And I He's like Take it easy I just killed your mom

[00:41:55] I won't kill you Is that basically Totally Totally He's not He doesn't go evil Lifetime villain He's just like What's the big deal He's like I wouldn't I wouldn't kill you And Basically Is like I don't Like I don't know Why you're so upset About like this Wow When suddenly Clown shows up And it's not the dad Not the dad And you're like What And he's like Oh my gosh What is this clown doing here Whoa Hey Whoa

[00:42:25] I don't know about this I thought you were just Making it all up That's right I thought you were going crazy So he hasn't been the clown He hasn't been Liz's clown But he was the He was the killer clown But he's not Oh my god Liz's killer clown Okay Yeah So the The clown Pulls out the gun And this time It doesn't have the Pow bang flag thing It's a real gun And the clown Aims at Liz And shoots And the dad Instinctively just jumps Right in front of that bullet Yeah Saves his

[00:42:55] Saves his Sacrises himself And then you hear the clown yell No Takes off Lou Anna Anna His wife His His Mistress The evil stepmother Yes The mistress Wow And she's like I I saw you were looking to the case I didn't want you to solve it Because I knew My husband killed your mom So I was trying to scare you I thought if I scared you You wouldn't look into it anymore

[00:43:24] You would just let it go Yeah So after she shoots her husband She doesn't just go ahead and shoot Liz No She gives up She's just like Well I'm turning myself in Yeah And then Liz picks up the pistol And pistol whips Her stepmom She's like Be quiet And just Wow And we cut to black And then we see that the Stepmom is in jail You know Did dad die? Dad died Okay Dad died for sure Yeah Liz has been through it

[00:43:54] Liz has been through it But we find out that she You know Is A guest on Maddie's podcast It's a massive hit And she is pregnant again And everyone is happy now Wow The end What a movie That was Killer Clown We're going to share our thoughts on the other side of it Here on Deck the Hallmark

A clown Forget it I'm re-afraid of clowns Re-afraid That's terrible for me That's right Alright let's share our thoughts on it How do we do that here on this year program Patrick? Alright so on the show We either pour it up Which means we're into it Or put a cork in it Which means we're not into it Since Dan hasn't seen the movie We start with Dan

[00:44:56] Based on our description And your imagination What did you think about Killer Clown? I'm trying to think of a movie That I more want to see After listening to you two talk about it Than this one And there was that Rosner Bristow Film that you guys both really liked On Lifetime Didn't we cover that at Bramblefest? You covered it Not at Bramblefest But you covered it on the show For me They did another Lifetime movie together? It was the one where He's the Dear Abby guy

[00:45:26] Oh the Christmas movie Yes Yes yes yes So I That movie you guys raved about And I was like I probably need to see that This movie I It's a full port up for me And I really would like to see it And if they make any sequels I'm watching them Because this sounds like They You know the problem with any horror movie At a lifetime budget is It could very easily not be scary It sounds like this was effectively scary And a fun whodunit

[00:45:53] My favorite combo of horror movie Is slasher whodunit That is top of the heap for me Like give me that over demon possession Or found footage Or ghost or any of that Give me slasher whodunit Scream That's kind of top of the mountain for me Psycho Like that That is like My favorite So I'm all in on this Pour it all the way up For me Pour it all the way up Alright Yeah Fran what do you think This is my favorite That we've watched so far

[00:46:23] For this In the years That we've been doing this This is so much fun It is right up my alley It did feel Like more Horror Than like Just like Ripped from the headlines Like whodunit type thing Because the clown stuff Is really good And really effective I loved it I'm pouring it all the way up And I'm drinking Actually you know what I'm drinking straight out of the bottle Wow Pour it up Into your mouth That's exactly right That's crazy So Yes

[00:46:53] I do not like clowns So this was very scary for me But I really felt Fear I really felt fear Watching this And I just want to give props To the director Annie Bradley Who's an Emmy nominated Director And Katie Boland Who is an actor And writer Who wrote the movie Who just get I think they get it They get They get Lifetime But also they have Like some They're not just Churning them out I think I think they have

[00:47:22] Some like Artistic integrity Behind it All right They're fans of horror So Lifetime has been Steering away From the horror Lately And more You know Ripped from the headlines Faith base But I think They really could Do something With doing stuff Like this So I'm Going to pour it up As well This is probably My favorite Favorite of the year For sure Wow Triple pour it up Favorite of the year For both You've been Lifetime classic Lifetime classic You've been pretty down On the year though
