My Argentine Heart (Hallmark Channel - 2025)

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTH

We meet Abril, a sophisticated businesswoman, but she’s struggling to find a job because of what happened at her last company. Feeling discouraged, she hops on a call with her cousin Belinda, who lives in Argentina. Belinda encourages her to come back and visit the family ranch. Apparently, this ranch has been in their family for generations and is currently being managed by a family friend—who just so happens to be Abril’s childhood crush, Diego.

When Abril arrives, everything seems great. She spends time with Diego, and it’s obvious they’ve been keeping tabs on each other because they’re totally in love. However, things take a turn when Abril discovers that Diego is trying to buy the ranch. She’s furious, declaring, “OVER MY DEAD BODY! THIS BELONGS TO MY FAMILY!”

But then they get terrible news. Some mail arrives, revealing that the family owes a significant amount of money. Belinda had previously brushed it off, thinking it wasn’t a big deal, but now the debt has piled up. The only way out is to accept a ridiculously low offer for the ranch.

As the crisis unfolds, Diego and Abril start spending a lot of time together. There’s plenty of walking, talking, and many moments of almost kissing. Their connection grows deeper.

Meanwhile, Abril receives an offer to return to Boston. With the salary from that job, she’d be able to pay off the ranch’s debt. Problem solved, right? Not quite—she realizes she’s not happy.

So, she goes to a waterfall to think things through. Diego shows up, and she tells him, “I sold my place in Boston. I’m not taking the job. I’m staying here because I want to run this ranch with you.” They share a big, passionate kiss, and together, they take on the challenge of running the ranch as a team.

[00:00:02] [SPEAKER_03] Hello! It's Brad and I love Hallmark Winter Travel Movies! Que tal, it's Brian, I like Hallmark Winter Travel Movies! Como esta? It's Dan, I despise Hallmark Winter Travel Movies and this is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast!

[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_02] Deck The Hallmark, it's this podcast! And friends host this podcast! We hope you like this jolly podcast! Deck It Coyid

[00:00:39] [SPEAKER_00] This is KTOL, which is like a very informal, what's up!

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_03] Just for the common man... Here's what happened...

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_02] Explain yourself I said before the show, I said can I say Olaf and Dan said I don't know. So what I tried to do is I tried to do like a halfway.... Yeah, did he say or did he not, but it just sounded really weird and then you guys all went Spanish and...

[00:01:06] Respect.

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_03] Buenos dias, everybody.

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_02] Buenos dias, everybody. Post-Decies, Buenos dias. Post-Decies, indeed. It was a big, big day for everybody, especially those who won, and a big, big day for us, you know, because it happened. It happened. That's right. Was it a success? Only time will tell. Time will tell. We'll see if we win the award for best live award show. Where will we rank in Decies lore?

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_03] That's the big question. Well, there is an asterisk around it, and I'm like, so you don't know how that's going to settle.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01] Was that the fifth one? 21, 22, or it was the fourth one. That was the fourth one.

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_02] I don't know. That's a good question. I think this is five. I think this is number five? I think this is number five. I think we did the first one in 21. Four deep?

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_01] I don't. I think it was the first one in January of 22, but I could be wrong.

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_02] There's only one way to find out. There sure is. And it's with. Our figure of math. Yeah, we'll figure it out at some point. We'll get it together. But it was a great time. Thanks to everybody who came. That traveled from a far away place. Yeah, Canada even. Canada even. British Columbia. It was a really good time, and we're just happy to be here.

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_01] And what a wide spectrum of winners. Yeah. Do you know what I mean? No one movie really stole the show. Yeah. And congrats to all of them. Everybody got it. I mean, it was a lot of fun.

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_02] How are you guys feeling about the snow this week? They'll replace that with whatever. Aaron's going to replace it with whatever. You know what's the last week?

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_01] You said we needed a milleray, but it was going to be too dry, and you just said it was just going to go south. And I told you it wouldn't, and now we're due for seven or eight inches of snow.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_03] Is that a guarantee?

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_02] And Aaron's going to fix it. Yeah. Aaron's going to fix it. She'll fix it. She'll insert whatever. She'll insert whatever the actual forecast is. Yes, of course. Yeah. But you guys will hear it at home, and it's going to be really good. We have that tech, and it's good. So we're good. I can't. I have the headphones. I can't.

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_01] Getting word in my headphones, there was a deck. He's in 21. That was the fifth one. Okay. That was the fifth one. How about that? Which we knew at the thing when we did it. My third one.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_02] You had a crazy night, and you forgot.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_01] I had a crazy night.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_02] It'll happen. We're not going to talk about it. Out of hand. We bought a lot of Prosecco from Kirkland. We did buy a lot of Kirkland. Justin Kirkland. Prosecco. Here's what happened. I did a bit where while we were cleaning up, I said, Dan, you won't finish up everybody's Prosecco bottles. All the empty glasses. And I went to all the tables.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_01] In this world, all the double-deckers, not big Prosecco fans or drinkers. That's right. And I just made sure we don't want to take any home.

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_02] We don't want to take any home.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_01] We don't want to take any home. So I knocked them all out.

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah, it was for fun. You don't get your money back. No.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_01] If anybody wants to know the secret.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_02] Justin Kirkland Prosecco. If anybody wants to know the secret to get Dan to indulge a little bit too much, it's to tell him that he's a lightweight. And that just twists the knife.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01] It threatens my masculinity.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_02] And I'm like, I'm going to show you. That's exactly right. And that's exactly what he said. Darn this ego. Darn this ego. Darn it's a heck. Darn it's a heck. There you go. My Argentine. Do we have to? Heart. My Argentine heart. That's right. My Argentine heart. Tina Hart. Tina Hart. My Argentina. My Argentine heart. Heart. Came out over the weekend.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_02] January. Mega mind. Answering a phone. January. Hello. January 17th. 18th. Snow. January 18th. January 18th. 2025. I want a little something. A little something. Ice storm. It'll all be fixed. It'll all be fixed. Let's say all the things. And so then she can take them. That's right. Freezing. Rain. Balmy. Ice storm. Sleet. Warmer. One inch.

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_02] Freezing. Two inches. Wind chill. Four. I-85 corridor. North. South. Is that enough? You got it all, Erin? She's got it all. You good? So you can choose from that. Whatever ends up happening.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_03] Pop it on in there. Everything we need. Something from Argentina.

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_02] Went a little something like this. So we meet Abril. How was that? It was okay. Okay. Abril. Abril. Who is a fancy pants. I can't roll his arms. No, I can't. It's great. It is. The Lord gifted me with a silver tongue. That's good with talking, but not with rolling my arms. Thank you for that. Is that a phrase? The silver tongue? I think it is now. I'm scared to look it up.

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_02] I wouldn't do it now. Are you on our Wi-Fi? You're going to get the algorithm.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_01] The algorithm's got to goof you out.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_03] You're going to get some weird stuff, man. Careful.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_01] Do you know if you put your feet on the dashboard? Dude. Say goodbye to your feet. According to Brian, anyway. Yeah, I've seen videos.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_02] Brian, thanks for saving TikTok, by the way. You did all that while doing the decades. It's incredible. I can't believe it ended up. Hey, big week. Big week. Abril, who is a fancy pants business person. Fancy pants business. There he goes trying Spanish again. Sorry. She goes and she talks to this guy to get a new job. Who's the new thing? Busney? Busney. She can't get a job because of the last business. It tanked. Tanked?

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_02] Tanked. Yeah. Tank job. I don't want to talk about it. I'm trying to get that first job tech. She's discouraged, and she hops on a call with her cousin, Belinda, from Argentina. She tells her to come back and check it out. Check out the ranch. You got to check it out. Apparently, this ranch has been in her family, and you can correct me if I'm wrong on any of this information. Apparently, the ranch has been in the family forever and is now run by their family friends,

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_02] including Avernail's childhood crush, Diego. She gets there, and it's all good. She's hanging out with Diego. It's clear that things are feeling it. Caliente? Caliente, as you say. Caliente, how you say keeping tabs on one another. They're like, how'd you know I did this? How'd you know? One of those numbers. They clearly have been keeping tabs on one another, and that's great.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_02] They love each other. Then she finds out that he is trying to buy the ranch. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. And she's like, over my dead body, this belongs to my family. I will not sell it. But then they get some bad news, Brian and Dan. Dan, you ready for this? I'm ready, dude. Apparently, some mail came. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_02] And in the mail, there was a thing, and it's like, you owe money. And Belinda said, uh-oh. She went and she said, hey, do we have to worry about this? And they're like, no. No, they said, let it lie. Let it lie. Don't worry about it. It's not a big deal. This is not a big deal at all.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_01] It's just money that you owe.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_01] Nobody cares.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_02] Nobody cares about that. You're on the ranch now. Yeah, so it's not a big deal. And so now they owe a ton of money. The only way out of this, mucho, mucho. Mucho dinero. Dinero. C. Mucho dinero. Dolores. So the only way out is you got to pay the loan back. Yeah. That's the way out of it. Right. I'm glad you got that in your notes. But if you don't, if you can't pay it all back, here's what they're going to do.

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_02] They're going to offer them a ridiculously low offer. Yeah. And then they're not going to have to worry about the loan. So that's basically what they- That sounds good. It's actually a pretty, honestly, all things considered. Diego and Ebrel, they're hanging out a ton. There's a lot of walking. There's a lot of talking. There's a lot of almost kisses. That's what you need to know. So basically, she then gets an offer. When all else is looking like it's not going to work out.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_02] She gets an offer to come back to Boston. Shipping off to Boston. And with that money that she's going to get, she will be able to pay off the loan, keep the ranch and the family, save the ranch, save the world. Yeah. Absolutely. So, yay. But is she happy? Right. That's the question. That's what she has to figure out. So she decides, I'm going to go to Waterfall. I'm going to go to Waterfall. I'm going to think. And that's when all of her best thinking happens.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_02] Diego shows up also at Waterfall. Waterfall, by the way, pales in comparison to Waterfall and Yeah, that Greenville. And I think everybody is saying that. Everyone's saying it. Is this Waterfall on any list? I don't know. I don't know, actually. But I know the Yeah, that Greenville one is. So Diego is like, hello. And hola. And she says, guess what? I sold my place in Boston. I'm not taking the job. I'm going to use that money, save the ranch.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_02] And I want to run this place together because I've always loved you. And he's like, what a coincidence. I've always loved you as well. They kiss. And then they're going to run the place together. And that, my friends, was my Argentine heart.

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_00] We didn't know.

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_02] We didn't do it. Let's take a quick break. We'll come back. We'll break this movie down with four segments. Here on Deck the Hallmark. Hey, everybody. Welcome back. We're talking about the My Argentine Heart, the latest of Hallmark's January travel movies to try to make us forget that it's winter. How's it going so far?

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_02] It's not going well. It's cold. Let's get to this movie. Let's break it down. Let's share our thoughts on it. Brian, I'm going to start with you. What's your hot take to kind of melt the ice? Sure. I don't know. What do you think about it?

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_03] I thought it was not too bad. Not too bad. Argentina looked really nice. See that look, Dan? See that hand? The Argentina looked beautiful. Really did a good job in making me forget how cold it was because it looked really nice there. It made me want to go to Argentina. I've wanted to go to Argentina for a long time. Really? Yeah. For the steak, for the Malbec. Listen, I'm here for both of those things.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01] That's what I want to go to Argentina for. But also, I've never once heard you talk about Argentina in all my years. I know. I don't want to go that bad.

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_02] Really? You haven't heard him talk about it? Not once. For whatever reason, maybe he's afraid to talk about it around you. Maybe. But every time you're out of the office, he won't shut up about Argentina. And there's a poster. If you go into our office, you press a button, the wall actually comes down a little bit, reveals the poster of Argentina.

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_01] I try to keep that quiet. Malta or Argentina?

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, how dare you? Where is Popeye been?

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_01] Because it seems like your go-to with the travel movies, and this is maybe where you're most like Panda is, is that instead of just saying that a movie sucks, you just say, I've always wanted to go to the place- I've said that twice. That the movie, oh, I'm sure we can find something similar.

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_03] If somebody can pull up a list. I'm sure. Argentina, Malta. Malta, I've wanted to go to since before this, though. That's a Popeye thing. Yeah. Which has entered the copyright free now. I don't know if you guys know that Popeye's entered the copyright free chat.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_02] Man, I can't wait for that low-budget horror flick that will make a limited run theatrical run.

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_04] Can't wait.

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_01] You have been wearing a lot of gaucho berets lately, and I didn't put it together. I just thought you were pompous. It's all the Argentine desire. Yes.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_03] So what I did like in this, the conflict I thought was pretty cool. The fact that she knows the guy who wants to buy the ranch, she doesn't want to sell the ranch. I like that. It wasn't so big.

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_00] It's so new and different for Hobart.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_03] That was not bad. So I didn't really get what the ranch is all about, other than- Yeah, what is it? Just like horse rides? It's a gaucho. Is it an Airbnb? I don't know. They just do horse rides. Yeah. And that's kind of it.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_01] They basically just show you the farm on the horses. Yeah.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_03] Which I don't, maybe, I don't know a lot about Argentine.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01] And he wanted to turn it into like an REI kind of thing. Like go out in the woods.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_03] Sleep over. Yeah.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_01] A whole camp thing.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_03] They should already be cooking meals. It seems like they have the means to do that already. Especially with Belinda's skills. Exactly. Belinda, in the kitchen there, just whipping up all that delicious looking food. She could already do this. Man, that steak did look good. Man, all those desserts. Mm-hmm. So I didn't really get that. I guess that's a big part of this is the ranch and getting why it's a big deal and like what they even do there. I didn't really understand all the, all I know is they ride horses to and fro the river and

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_03] sometimes the lake and sometimes they camp out just them with multiple tents, four tents, two people. That's all we saw. I did not. I don't like the undertone here of somebody, you own something, you have something, but guess what? The big bad company is going to, or the lawyers, banks going to come in and say, we're going to do whatever we want with this. I don't like that. Okay. It's starting to bug me a lot. The taking advantage of people. So that turned me off a whole lot in this movie.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_00] Very serious. Yeah.

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_03] It bugged me a lot. Wow. It really, the, the bank thinking, Oh, we have your loan. We're just going to do whatever we want. That's crazy. Cause it's not what you said this morning. Well, that's different. This we're talking movies now. Okay.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_01] Real life is different. You can profit off of someone's misfortune. You're down for it. In a movie, a bank or corporation. No way.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_03] Right. I mean, come on. That's not fair. That's not fair. So that, that I didn't like. Um, and a really nice Megan the stallion reference. Um, other than that, it was just a, whatever. It was okay. Uh, it might come as no surprise. I missed that. I actually missed that too. Oh, you did. Yeah. It was quick.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_02] It was quick. Yeah. But listen, no one is quicker with their Megan the stallion. I'm on top of those.

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_01] If there's two things we know about Brian, it's Argentina and Megan the stallion. That's right. Three things. Three Malta. Yes.

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_03] Um, all right. Malbec, Malta, Megan the stallion.

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_02] The three M's. The three M's in Brian's life. You've heard it once. You said it. Um, so I didn't care about this one by and large. Uh, I was, uh, a bit on the, how you say board side. How you say, um, I do like Argentina, uh, the country. A lot. There's a lot of people out there that are saying, I, I, they're saying the opposite of my flag. No.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_02] I, uh, I do like it. And I thought that the waterfall, listen, I, I, I, I like to present myself as a waterfall expert, as somebody who lives in the city with the best waterfall. Yeah. Yeah. It was a great waterfall. It's a great waterfall. It does seem inconvenient to get to, but it does, but it's a great waterfall. And, uh, I got to give them, I got to give credit to where credits do.

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_02] Uh, but by and large, I did not care what happened to ranch. I did not care about these two people falling in love. Uh, but I will say this. Diego's dad, smooth as silk. I can listen to that guy talk all day. And so that was one nice saving grace was that guy. Uh, and I will just say this. They used a lot of locals in making this movie.

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_02] I was looking at the, the credit sheet there.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_01] Well, the lead is Juan Pablo de Pace is from Argentina.

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_02] Uh, and, uh, Jalit Gonzalez, uh, American, uh, yes, that's exactly right. And so I think that that is a neat and nice and, uh, good of them to do so. Uh, Dano, you guys, you guys are so, so cool.

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_01] Uh, with your kindness and your just benefit of the doubts and fun facts. This is the worst movie of the year. Um, it's not, I, not three movies deep. The Irish movie is a bad movie, but Sinead Grimes beach in that movie. And the Irish man she is with, whom's name I don't remember right now. Those two have more chemistry than these two have.

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_01] The coolest part about this movie was me learning that Argentinian gauchos wear an assortment of hats that are all awesome. That is, that is true. That's pretty cool though. That is, that is pretty cool. But, you know, everybody that doesn't watch Hallmark movies will tell you that a Hallmark Christmas movie is the big city girl goes back to her hometown where the boy that she used to love when she was younger is there.

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_01] And then they try to save something hotel, lodge, resort, whatever, before the big business comes in and swoops it up. But all they did for this movie was, is they took that exact, it's the most, Brian said something to the effect of he's ever seen this before or hadn't seen in a while. I said, I liked it. I liked it. You said something. It was different. It was a little different. A different. That was the word that set me off.

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_01] They took the exact blueprint of the most common overused stereotype that like someone walking on the street, if you asked them, they could probably tell you that plot line. They took that and they just said, but what if Argentina revolutionary and aside from the waterfall, I don't think they showed us a lot of great Argentina. Um, boring, not innovative at all. Didn't care about the characters.

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_01] Didn't feel very great chemistry, a huge miss, a huge miss for Hallmark, even by January travel standards that Rhiannon fish movie on the boat with the penguins. That is high freaking art.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_02] What if I told you that, that, that Johnson's going to be responsible for your favorite movie of January?

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, if it has Rhiannon fish in it, I guess there's a shot, but that movie is the best, right? Brian, Brian, that's the best.

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_03] I would watch the polar movie over this, but this is my number two. I would watch this over Irish.

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_01] No. You said no. Yeah. No. Yeah. Where are you at, Brian? This or Irish? Oh, man. The other one, you dropped a literal F-bomb. You sure did. During the recording. That's true.

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_02] You know, I do think that I, this is where I'm putting it. This movie has nice waterfall.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_03] Big waterfall.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_02] That other movie does not. Does not. And so big waterfall might win. Sure. The leads in the other one. Big waterfall might win.

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_01] They're both bad movies, but this was, we also made the mistake.

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_02] She's a wets into a bullseye.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_01] That's true. That's true. Fair. We also, she spins. She spins. We also made the mistake, Brian, of watching episodes five and six of Mistletoe Murders before watching this movie. So let's just say the quality drop and the amount we care, the drop couldn't have been higher for our podcast.

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_02] But you know what? It shouldn't matter. It shouldn't. We're pros. That's right.

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_01] And I think this movie's bad regardless, but it was.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_02] It shouldn't matter. Oh, boy. Let's get to all the feels where we're talking about what in this movie gave us. This feels, uh, Brian. Yes.

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_03] What did she get? The, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the big, the grill at the end there, that big family table, everybody eating. Like I've never been to a meal like that where there's just a giant table, tons of.

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_01] You ever been to a Churras Correa? Like a Brazilian steakhouse? No. Um, yes. Where they bring them. Not like this.

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_03] Brian's never had dinner with his family. That's the takeaway. The goal is for them to move far enough away to where. To the steakhouse. Not with my family. Yeah.

[00:20:34] Yeah.

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, but like a big family dinner. They never sit me there because I don't. Yeah. They sit elsewhere. A big table, a bunch of good food. That just looked like a lot of fun. And I wanted to go do that like immediately. So that whole little part was my, my feels.

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah. I mean, I don't want to keep our harping on the old, uh, waterfall there. Real nice waterfall. I think something people might not know about me is similar to your love of Argentina is I like a good waterfall. And if you give me a good waterfall, then I'm going to be like, well, that's a, I'm going to give credit to it. And I'm going to be like tip of the hat to the Lord. And so.

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_01] Not once we're watching this movie. Did you go, wow, what a cool waterfall. I did. He was saying. I 100%. He was like, not as cool as, he was like, not as cool as Falls Park. He bashed it? I said that. He bashed the waterfall. He steals. He bashed.

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_02] Falls Park is in the middle of downtown. That's cooler. This is, is this a bigger waterfall? Yes, it is a bigger water and I will give it that. And that's part of the, the grand nature of it is part of what made me go. Wow. What a, what a fall. Um, but, uh, that's probably it for me.

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_01] I mean, just Google gaucho beret. I, I, if we could have found them in Greenville, would have purchased three immediately for this podcast.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_02] Did you try gauchos? It is.

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_01] No, I did not. Uh, it is, it is.

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_02] That probably would have been a place to start.

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. Gauchos would have been a good place to start. Um, next time. And he's the, uh, he's.

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_02] What about gauchos discount?

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_01] Gauchos discount? No, but there is a place.

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_02] Did you try any of the gauchos?

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_01] Tanner's big gaucho? Tanner's big gaucho. I did try. I ordered three big gauchos.

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_02] You said you don't know if we could get them. We have no less than seven or eight different versions of gaucho stores.

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_01] A gaucho store where they sell a bunch of different writing utensils called gaucho marks.

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah. Uh, let's take a break.

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_03] We could have just done that.

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_02] Let's take a break. We'll come back and we'll get to more stuff here on. Thank you all, Mark. Welcome back, everybody. Uh, talking about my Argentine heart today. Uh, the third movie of the year. Let's get to our wait. What? This is where we talk about what in this movie made us go. Wait, what? And I'll start with you, Brian.

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_03] Thank you.

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_02] The, at the very beginning. Is this your first day?

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_03] Thank you, Brandon. Brian. Yes. I'll start with Brian. I'm getting word. It's, it's to me now. Uh, yeah. The interviewer at the very beginning calls her quote, the ultimate cautionary tale for him to tell his employees about. It's such a mean thing.

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_01] Just right to her face. Not on a zoom. Not in what universe is that? Not the worst thing to say in any, any context. Hey, meet this person. She's the ultimate cautionary tale. Are you kidding me? Of any kind.

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03] So offensive. And she didn't even flinch. And like, maybe this is what she's like. Yeah. So diplomatic, like two, maybe this set me off from the beginning. I was like, that is so rude. And like, you can't talk to people like that. What are we doing? Not, not to Blair. Crank. Not to Blair Crank. Are you kidding me? Blair Crank. Disrespectful. Enrique. So disrespectful. Uh, I didn't like that at all. Uh, she though did call football soccer at one point.

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_03] And I don't, I just feel like just go with football.

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_01] You said football. So proud to say football for saying it, not football. She didn't say football. So proud of yourself. Football.

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_03] She said football.

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_01] Football. Wrong.

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_03] She said football.

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_01] You're the guy that orders the Italian, the pasta dish at the Italian restaurant in Italian. He's like, can I get a, uh.

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_03] Fettuccine Alfredo. That's exactly right.

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_01] I want a Diet Coke and a Manna Con. And a Caesar salad.

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_03] Can you turn the football on? That's right.

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_01] Can you turn it on?

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_03] Glass of the Chianti. Not the American football. Oh man. So that was just weird. Uh, the lawyer in his real nice round office has his desk centered, which yeah. Where do you put it in a round room? But not a, where do you put it? Where does it go? Yeah, man. Where do you?

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_01] Where are you gonna? There's no, there's no corners. Yeah. So you have to. I don't know what you do. You can't angle that thing anywhere. That's your worst nightmare. There's nowhere to hide. You just make it the radius of the circle. Just right in the center. No. That's a power move. That's a power move to go right in the center.

[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Yeah. A little like a rotunda. He probably took over the, the only round room in that building. Yeah. Call dibs! Call dibs on roundy! Give me that rectangle desk from the middle of the square, this round room. He doesn't have a single wire dangling off that desk. He has a phone on there. He's got a lamp. You gotta plug stuff in somewhere. Where does it go? Dan took all the dongles. Yeah. All those dongles are long gone. We haven't, still haven't found those as far as I understand it.

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_00] There's certainly, you gotta get rid of dongles. You gotta get rid, dude.

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_01] You can't just let the dongles pile up. No, you do have to clear them out. Bags full of dongles. Yeah, you gotta clear them out. I was doing the office a favor at my house. I did a dongle sweep of the neighborhood. Dongle run? I did a dongle sweep. The dongle front 5K? People can use the dongles. Yeah. You can't let those pile up.

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_03] Just try it. Look.

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_01] That's right. Next time you need to be at USB-USB-C, you let me know and see if I have a dongle or not. Check the dongle bag.

[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_02] All I'm saying is it's possible that dongles were covering something up.

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_01] No.

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_02] On top of it. It's hard to see under them when they're all just layered across like that.

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_01] What use would I have? Why would I lie about dongles? Why would dongles be the cover-up?

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_03] Let's start now. Yeah. Why would they be the cover-up? That's a good question, Dan. That's ridiculous.

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_01] I would make something up that's a lot less weird than dongles.

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_03] Nobody on it really knows, though. You say dongle and people just let it go. So you could just be-

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_01] You say dongle and people just let that go? Yeah.

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_02] What qualifies?

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_01] As a dongle? Yeah. It connects one device to another.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_02] So would an extension cord be considered a dongle in a sense?

[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_01] Oh. Yeah. I'll tell you. It's a long dongle. I just- What do you want me to say? It's a very long dongle. You asked me to define it. You now want to change- Look. No, I'm just asking. An extension cord is not a dongle, but if you ask me- In a sense, it is. Am I supposed to go surge protectors, extension cords, all these different cords? I just said dongles so we could move on.

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_03] And look what happens.

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_01] Generic dongles.

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_03] You got anything else? Yeah. Yeah. The last one. Allegedly, Belinda is a great cook, but we don't see her at work at all. We see the results.

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_01] That's a problem for one of us.

[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_03] Let's get in that kitchen. Let's pull up those sleeves. There's Brian telling the woman to get back in the kitchen. Let's pull up those sleeves. Let's get to work. Let's have some conversations while we're mixing and chopping and cutting and sauteing and whatnot. Like, let's do some work in the kitchen. There's such a nice looking kitchen.

[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_02] Can you give the word saute one more try?

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. All right.

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_02] Saute. Thank you. Saute. Saute. Saute. Guys, the boot count in this movie is insane. Boot count's insane. Had I known we were going to be bombarded with boots, I would have kept a literal count. Yeah. Per capita. I think this may be most boots per capita in the history of Hallmark. A lot of boots.

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_01] A lot of boots. It was like the one thing they had to do in this movie was- We got to do boots. We got to do vouchers. We got the gaucho outfit correct. Yeah. If we do nothing else, we show them waterfall. Sure did. And we give them gaucho outfit, authentic, and everything else, whatever. But we got to show the berets, the boots, the crazy Sherpa looking things that are saddles. We got to show all of that, which is all authentic. And then we have ourselves a movie.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_01] Boot count's crazy. Yeah.

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_02] Boot count's crazy. It was a lot of boots. That's all I'm going to say. The movie ends with an interesting- It's almost like their declaration of love was a fight in and of itself. He says, I love you. And she says, I loved you from the moment we first met. Listen, you don't have to one-up somebody when they're trying to declare that they love you. This isn't a fight to see who was first.

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_02] Just say, wow, me as well also, too. Now he's going to walk away from this and be like, well, I messed up. I should have told her the moment that I started loving her. I've loved you since it seems like it's now a fight. They're going to be fighting about this for the rest of the year. They're never going to last. And I don't think that they're going to make it. And so that's bothersome. And then the ending of this movie is a wait what? Because I just don't know what.

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_02] It flashes to them together on the farm. And it's just like, they're just kind of like, we did it. Wave. We've accomplished it. And it was a really odd way. It felt like the movie should have been done because they do the 30, 40 second pullback from waterfall. Fade to black. And then it's like, they're back at the house and they're just like.

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_01] One of the most awkward endings of all time.

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_02] We did it. It's like an ending of a commercial at a car lodge.

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03] The whole team up front.

[00:29:34] [SPEAKER_02] Come on out to Big O Dodge under the Big American flag. Second flag.

[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_01] Dan? Yeah. So I, listen, a lot of Spanish speaking countries have a earned reputation of having like a very laid back mentality. Right? So like in Spain, notoriously a siesta in the middle of the day. Shops closed down. I went to Guatemala. They had something called Hora Latina, which is like Latin time, which means you just show up when you want to show up. In Costa Rica, they called it Tico time. That's what they called it. And you know what's great is, is when you're there, it's amazing.

[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_01] As someone who's very, I feel like I want to be very timely. When I'm in those countries, it's so great to be like, who cares? We'll show up whenever we want to show up. So I love the vibe of it's okay. Having said that, Belinda, girl, you just saw that this place owed a bunch of money and you were like, they told me it was fine and let it be. So who cares? Sure. I'm just going to go per Vita. I'm going to go full laid back.

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_01] Don't care about this massive debt. The thing is, is that all of that attitude doesn't translate to a massive amount of debt. Banks and corporations are still going to be banks and corporations. When I found out that was a major plot point in this movie early in the movie when she's like, Hey, we owe a bunch of money. And Belinda's like, they told me to just let it be. I was like, I couldn't get over it. I couldn't get past it. And that's exactly how we end up in the situation we end up in. Right.

[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_01] Because if we don't, if people pay that debt, I don't know if they end up together. I don't. I don't. Yeah. It's, it's a, it's a wild time that that is a plot point in this movie. They said, no, not to worry about it. So I didn't worry about it. I just didn't do anything with all this debt. Don't worry. Can we not say Pop-Tart? I don't think so. Are we not allowed? Has big Pop-Tart gotten in? Kelloggia.

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_01] Like we're saying it now. We should. And this is on TV. File it out. Aaron will clear that up. Aaron will 100% clear it up.

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_02] We'll clear it up with Tammy. And then we'll, if it has to be peeped out of it.

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_01] But also Pop-Tart, we're saying it, is a brand. I'll get it.

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_02] I'm getting ahead of it. Yeah.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_01] That's right. Now, if I want to have three or four, then, you know, it's one of those things where you can't stop me from having a dozen. You know what I mean?

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_01] I'll eat Pop-Tart. I'm sorry. I missed. That was a little late on my end.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_03] Big trouble with big Pop-Tart.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_02] Sorry.

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_01] I dropped the Pop-Tart.

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_04] All right.

[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_01] The good news is you just throw a sling of Pop-Tart right into the toaster and you got more Pop-Tarts. I don't know how good that was. Pop-Tart, Pop-Tart. Okay. Is that Morse code at this point? Uh, it's Pop-Tart. We're going to go. So in this movie, they say everyone collectively decides toaster pastry. We're going to say the word toaster pastry.

[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_01] I don't think I've ever heard those two words said together in my lifetime. It's on the box, I think, though. Yeah. No, I know what it is. I know what a toaster pastry is. What is it? I've never. It's a Pop-Tart. Pop-Tart. I've never, or a toaster strudel, or an off-brand Pop-Tart.

[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_03] That's a little different.

[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_01] I've never heard someone go, you want a toaster pastry? Even if, even if they have off-brand Pop-Tarts, which are garbage, by the way. Just don't off them. That's what Diana buys. That's up there with off-brand Diet Coke. Like, I would rather eat dirt than an off-brand.

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_02] You have off-brand Pop-Tarts in your house? Yikes. They're for the kids. They're for the kids.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_01] Toaster strudels, I think, can be better than Pop-Tarts. Here's what I'll tell you. Ghetto gastro? What the heck? I can't say that. That's not a real thing.

[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_02] Hey, Aaron's looking that up on the screen. It's not something Dan just said. No, no. They can't see the screen, Dan.

[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_01] Talk about the algorithm. You can't just read stuff. They can't see the screen. All I'm saying is this. We should probably try those. Even if you have the cat's gluten-free brown sugar cinnamon toaster pastries in your house, if somebody's like, I want a quick breakfast, do you say you want to toast your pastry? You go, hey, you want Pop-Tart? That's what you say. That's what people...

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_02] Can I really quickly talk to the toaster pastry industry? Let's go to one. Let's do it. Is I'm bothered when I see what Catch is doing where they don't have the frosting on top. Oh, yeah. Because it's like... What are you... Who are you trying to...

[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_03] It's healthier. Yeah, it's you. No. You want frosting.

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_02] I do. It's part of the thing.

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03] What if you make your own and you want to put your own on there?

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_02] No.

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_03] What are you talking about?

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_01] The frosting isn't a big deal to me.

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_02] It comes separate. But I also don't eat Pop-Tart. The frosting's not a big deal to you. No. I've had a Pop-Tart in a while. I've come back. It was a problem. And I saw... There was a time when Brian had a two-paste pastry day habit. You see a Pop-Tart without the frosting on it. You can set your clock by. Oh, yeah. Pop-Tart o'clock. We actually called it Pop-Tart o'clock. We did. And I called it off. You don't want that, right? What if we all still do it until Brian? Yeah. 10, 15.

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_04] I mean, Kellogg's Pop-Tarts do come unfrosted and you can miss me with all that garbage.

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_02] Yeah.

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_03] You want them frosted, obviously.

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_02] You want them frosted? Yeah. I don't know if it adds anything. But it doesn't feel like it's something I should look at. It feels like they're naked. It doesn't feel like something I should look at. They're naked tarts.

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_01] You have a weird affinity for Pop-Tarts now. And what you said, I'm pretty sure made it an R&D.

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_02] Are you not bothered by it? A naked tarts? I don't feel like you're looking at something you shouldn't look at.

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_01] No. I've never once thought that Pop-Tart doesn't have any frosting. It doesn't have any clothes on. Yeah, it's naked. It's in the news.

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_02] You see it. And look at all those holes.

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_01] Look away. Look away.

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_03] Look at Pop-Tart porn. Look away.

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_02] It doesn't have anything on top of it at all.

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_03] You guys are worried about my algorithm. That's right.

[00:35:29] No kidding.

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_04] Man.

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_02] I don't know. Like, what is that? Who? What are unfrosted brown sugar cinnamon pot? Who are those for? Me? I would eat one. You're crazy.

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_03] Freaks. If you got the pick. Yeah, you get your pick. You can get your pick. The Pop-Tart buffet.

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_01] That's not. Listen. If I had to pick, I'd pick the one with the frosting on it. That's what I'm saying! No. What I said was.

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_02] Dude, who is this for?

[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_01] Is the frosting doesn't do much for me.

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_02] Then that wasn't what I said, though. Yeah. I said, who's it for? But you said the frosting is very important. Four means the preference.

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_01] Yeah. But you said the frosting is a big part of this. It's a big part. For me, it's not a big part. It's a very small thing. It's on the cards. I'll take either one. The one I grew up with had frosting, so I'll take frosting. But that's just because it's the one I grew up with. What I'm saying is that no one said toaster pastries before this very moment.

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_02] Nature's Path, organic frosted berry, right there, smack dab in the middle of it. Toaster pastry. They're all in the boxes.

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_04] Yeah.

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_01] I don't hear anybody. That's big, though. Have you ever heard somebody go, how do you want a toaster pastry? No, no. Not in your lifetime. You don't see that. And they talk about it like it is common parlance. They talk about it in this movie like everybody says toaster pastry like it's normal. And that's just not normal. Did you mention the ADR brand? Are you saving that? I didn't. I didn't. At the fall?

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_02] No, not at the fall. In the town square.

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_01] It's the worst ADR of the year, maybe of the years, of all of the years. The ADR was brutal in that scene. It's so, so bad. You need to check it out.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_02] It's just clear that they were in two different places and different volume levels of being able to speak. Wherever they were recording the ADR, one person was able to talk one way and one person was able to talk another way. And one of them sounded like they were whispering so that they wouldn't wake up a child. That's what it felt like. Yeah. It was like, hey, I'm going to talk to you. And the other person's at normal volume.

[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_03] That's what I noticed at the waterfall. She was like a whisper. Okay. And he was full on. I wish in that scene, even if they did ADR, just scream like you're at a waterfall. That's right.

[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_01] Just talk like you're normally at a waterfall. It's going to be noisy there. Yeah. So. And then lastly, I don't want to spend too much time on this.

[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_02] They start talking. You're just like, what is it?

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_01] My last one real quick is any, any, any momentum this movie had was lost when I found out that Juan Pablo De Pace's character has only come back to town a few months before Julia Gonzalo. Like for me, that was a huge deal. It's one thing if he decided the gaucho life is for me, I'm coming back. I've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears in this place. He hasn't. He's been there a few. He was in, he did financial stuff. He's been back. He basically is on the same journey as Julia Gonzalo, but like three months ahead.

[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_01] That is, he doesn't have a lot of sweat equity in this place. The fact that her family owns it is a bigger deal than the three months he's been gauchoing on the property. I'm sorry. It's time for what?

[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_02] The hallmark. It's where we wonder what could be. Maybe have it gets to clear. Any questions that we still have? What are we still wondering about? I'll start with you, Brian. At the. It's your turn. Thank you. Me?

[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. We want to make camera two, please. Thank you. At the Asado. Asado. Asado. Oh, what? The Asado. You did say camera two. At the Asado. We. Belinda and the lawyer. I forget his name. Please forgive me. Don't sue me. Don. Donald.

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_01] Don Deloise.

[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_03] Ronald. Ronald. Yeah, Ronnie. They were talking at the grill there and they made a plan to have a date. A real date. Yeah, a real date. And they should have kissed. That felt like a kiss moment. Yeah. And my first thought, my thought was they're not going to do it because they haven't even gone on a date yet, but they should have definitely kissed right there. Like, would, why not? Like, why are they not just kissing right there? I feel like everybody would have been cool with that. Yeah. Just because they haven't gone on a date yet.

[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_01] You think it was because they didn't have everyone's permission?

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_03] I think they didn't. Yeah, they didn't get all the paperwork back. I didn't talk to HR. I just, I don't, why not just have them kiss right there? It was totally earned, I felt like. And I don't know, it would have made that Asado even better. If that's even possible. You said it. Thanks, man.

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_02] Back to you, Brent. Thank you. Listen, I just said the name Ronald, and I would like to bring up a situation that transpired. This is personal to me. While I was watching this movie, I realized I didn't know Juan Pablo's name, his character. You know his clearly. I know. So I go to IMDB, and no name, no name there. And so, you know, I go to the Hallmark Media Press sites, which is where- All faithful and reliable.

[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_02] I'm able to get some different assets, I'm able to get the bigger synopsis sometimes for the- Let's see. They call them the- that's what they call them, I just echo. And so it's- you would think the press site is going to be the most reliable place to get info, right? That's what you would think.

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_01] Press site would be number one on my list, yes.

[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_02] And so I go to my Argentine heart, and they don't have the long synopsis, but they have a credit sheet, and it's where they do a full list of people, who they are, what they did, and all this stuff. And Juan Pablo is credited as playing a character named Ronald. So for an hour and 30 minutes, I wrote down Ronald. And then- and I just felt like that doesn't feel right to me.

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_02] There's something about him- Ronald. That's not giving-

[00:40:58] [SPEAKER_01] I said, maybe it's Ronaldo.

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_02] He's not giving Ronald. So yes, I brought it up to Dan, and he said, perhaps Ronaldo. Perhaps. Something like that. And I said, well, that makes sense. But it does- it says Ronald. I mean, I know Ronald. I know I'm not good at reading, but I know Ronald. Sure. And then I- just to be safe, I asked my friend Brian, and I said, Brian, what's his name? And he says, Diego. And I said, well, that's interesting.

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_02] So then I go back, and I have to watch some of the movie to then confirm, could this all have been alleviated had I just listened initially? Yes. And I saw a little of this is on me, and by a little, I mean the majority of it. But- but- but if we're gonna have a- if we're gonna have- if we're gonna have a media press site, and we're gonna have a credit sheet, you can't say his name's Ronald.

[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_02] Because there are members of the press that are relying on- Up there. They're up there. Hello. That are relying on the press site to give you the names of the people and their characters because they're not on IMDb. And then you find out- can you imagine if I was writing a- writing an article about this, and I said, Juan Pablo plays Ronald, and then a movie comes out, and I got egg on my face.

[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_02] So you gotta get- we gotta work on this. You have- whoever- whoever put this together and said it's probably Ronald, right? We're gonna go with Ronald. You- you- you almost did me- you almost did me dirty. And I just wanted to put that out there. Juan Pablo's character is not named Ronald. It's not Ronaldo. It is- Diego. And- So that was my journey. That was- that was my journey today. His full name's Ronald. That's his birth name, but he goes by Diego. It's shorter. It's a nickname.

[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_01] Dan- Just the dad. Juan Pablo De Pace's dad. You mentioned him, and I don't- he's not on IMDb. You did find his- I would love the actor's name. He is really good in this. Like, he's not- he's just someone I've not seen before in these movies, and I didn't know if it was just an Argentine thing. He's just smooth as silk. Bran said it, like, just like a voice like butter. And I just was like, where- are we gonna see more of this guy or not?

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_02] I'll give him credit here in just a second, because they did have his name on the credit, and it was correct. So I'll give you- Oh, okay. I'll give it to you, Rob.

[00:43:24] [SPEAKER_01] You want me to start Double Decker of the Week while you're pulling it up? Yeah, you can do that. Great. Double Decker of the Week is, you know, where we honor one of our own. Brian does the deep dive. Go to bramblejamplus.com. Double Decker tier or higher. There's a cool Facebook group. You watch all the lives. You get all the video and content before anybody else. So you get the podcast ad-free, and then we may call your name out one of these weeks and talk about you before we get on.

[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_02] It's Ivan Especi Gil. Ivan Especi Gil?

[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_01] That's what it can't be.

[00:43:52] [SPEAKER_03] Probably not.

[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_01] Next up on the Double Decker of the Week for this week is Lance Garman. Lance Garman. Shout out to Lance. Lance. There he is. Ivan Especi. Hey, there he is.

[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_02] Ivan Especi. Especi. And so he is on IMDb, but he doesn't get the credit for the movie. You want to know what's even crazier looking at this? The guy who played Greg, again, I don't know. The guy who played Greg, his name is Diego in real life. Oh, wow.

[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_01] It's a mess out here. What do we do? That hurts, too. That stings.

[00:44:22] [SPEAKER_02] Knowing that the name Diego is on here and we went with Ronald.

[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_01] This is Lance's time. Yeah, man.

[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_02] What do we got?

[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_01] Lance. I love Lance. Lance. We love Lance.

[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_03] You're going to like Lance even more. He is. So what's really important to Lance is like internet education, awareness and things like that. So he's. You know how you get these corporate videos, like training videos? Lance is trying to kick him up a notch. Kick him up a notch. And he's put a little spin on it where the information about like internet security.

[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_02] Like he's saying you don't want to click on those. Those. Any links. The fishing links. The fishing links. Of course. We've all had. We've all had the fishing. Some of us have came multiple times. Some of us have come. I wasn't fish. I wasn't fish. You were the fisher. Yeah.

[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_01] Turned fishy.

[00:45:04] [SPEAKER_02] I didn't click on any links. I sent it willingly. I asked them, hey, where's the best place to send this? They didn't get me. I mean, they did. Oh, they got you. They got you. They got me in a sense. But I really, I got them to get me. I did. I did a majority of the work there. Yeah. I did a majority of the work there. They're still recovering from the work. Once again, we're all on the same page. You did. I just don't want people thinking I clicked a link. Because that would have been. That would have been embarrassing. That's so embarrassing. You always got to look at the email address. Make sure they're legit.

[00:45:31] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. That's what Lance was trying to get across to people with his new way of kind of communicating this stuff using kind of like hit songs and switching up the words. So he's got a little acapella group that he's put together that is promoting this information. And so, like, let me give you one of the songs.

[00:45:49] [SPEAKER_01] Go ahead.

[00:45:49] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. One of the songs called, you might notice, I Get Around. I get around, round, round, round in your purchase history. I get around, round, round, round in your search results. That's one of the songs he's doing. Another song he's doing.

[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_01] But who is listening to the songs?

[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_02] This is like in corporate videos. So it's like instead of sending the boring training, you get to listen to these songs. This is training. Yeah. This is for training, education. Got it. Got it. Anywhere you need to.

[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_03] Companies can call Lance and his gang and they show up. And this isn't, you're watching a video. This is a live performance. A live performance. You got any more? Because I love that first one. Yeah, man. We got this one here. He is called. They always make the hip songs. Yeah. Well, this is. Like the Beach Boys. You want them to be familiar. And so this one goes, I'm giving up malware and salutations. I'm putting my malware and salutations. Are you? The West Side. Salutation. Salutation. I got it.

[00:46:47] [SPEAKER_01] Are they all Beach Boys songs?

[00:46:49] [SPEAKER_03] Well, that's Lance's, his whole thing here. Because obviously the name of the group, the Data Breach Boys.

[00:46:59] [SPEAKER_02] This one worked for me. That's a big win. Anyone know what I saw? I saw a video of this actually happening. Not this. It's funny. But this, something similar happening at a corporate event. They were doing training. Yeah. And the CEO and some other person. Maybe HR. Saying. But that was part of the holdup here. Is they were singing about HR policies. And people were like, well, this feels weird.

[00:47:27] [SPEAKER_02] Maybe it feels like it goes against HR. Sure. And so, but they were singing spoofs of popular songs. So, he might be honest. Wow. As long as he sticks with this. Yeah.

[00:47:38] [SPEAKER_03] The Data Breach Boys. The Data Breach Boys. Yeah. The Data Breach Boys. That's right.

[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_02] What are the odds you got one more song? Pretty good. Pretty good.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I don't want to get in the way of that. It goes a little something like, everybody's going surfing. Surfing, fishing, sights. Do, do, do, do, do, do.

[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_01] You save the words for less. It's unbelievable. If you had started there and worked up. Do you have one more?

[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_03] No. Okay. Oh, well, Lance does. I didn't grab any, you know, I had to get off the internet there. Lance does say there's a time limit. There's got to be plenty of others. Yeah.

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_01] Surfing, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, or any other. Help me, Ron. Don't click that link. Yep. I'm just doing the best. Just right off the top of my head here. Lance, write that down. Yeah. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Thanks, Lance.
