[00:00:01] Hi, I'm Brandon. I love Hallmark Christmas movies. I'm Brian. I like Hallmark Christmas movies

[00:00:07] I'm Dan and I despise Hallmark Christmas movies and this is the deck the hallmark podcast

[00:00:30] We're here again

[00:00:33] Happy

[00:00:35] Saturday

[00:00:38] 50th episode of the week could be yeah could be

[00:00:41] Could be good to be here. We are caught up. We're all

[00:00:46] Got me feeling it caught up

[00:00:48] Christmas movies here got me feeling twisted

[00:00:53] Got it. It's good. Thank you

[00:00:56] Brian yes, how are you feeling about what we've done this week good? I feel good about give us a great

[00:01:02] Give us a great. Oh B plus easy

[00:01:04] Oh, yeah, I think

[00:01:09] More guests than any other week on the calendar and you're saying it's the guests that brought us down. Oh, that's not you're saying

[00:01:16] Those might have been the the bright spot Ryan Polo now the guests were great this week

[00:01:21] We had a lot of fun the was this week. Yeah, that was this week

[00:01:26] That was hotline that was last week

[00:01:30] I don't know we probably said a few things about what we might be doing this weekend

[00:01:34] The praise not happening everybody the praise not happening tonight

[00:01:39] We had our heads down all week unless the weather's cleared up and we you know

[00:01:47] And I we apologize apparently we should have known about that yesterday, but we still talked about it

[00:01:52] So that's on me weird and I apologize

[00:01:55] But whether whether is what it is. You know, I hate that firm if we offended you. We're sorry

[00:02:00] We hate that we hate that B plus I think it's fair

[00:02:03] We're talking about our Christmas mural today guys. Are you ready to dive in? Yeah

[00:02:07] Yeah, our Christmas mural originally aired on November 26 2023 and it went a little something like this

[00:02:13] The movie kicks off with you guessed it a Christmas mural

[00:02:19] Olivia is a painter and a curator her boss is Benjamin Ayers

[00:02:24] Get your hands in the airs airs

[00:02:27] It's really good and he calls her into his office the grant was not renewed

[00:02:36] He doesn't know what next year looks like now. He's not firing her

[00:02:41] He's just encouraging to go ahead and start looking for a job

[00:02:44] You know ample time to kick off that job search

[00:02:48] It's just being a buddy, you know being a buddy

[00:02:50] Her and her son Parker packed the car Christmas mural in tow to head to

[00:02:56] Her parents house to for for Christmas time, which is great

[00:03:00] She's walking around town and she sees that there is a mural contest going on

[00:03:05] The guy that's running it encourages her to submit a piece

[00:03:09] But she's like nah, you know, I'm not gonna do that

[00:03:12] She bumps into another artist named will who is buying all the paint is not willing to give her any of the paint

[00:03:18] He's a bit of a bit of a snob

[00:03:21] given her the business

[00:03:23] Wait for you to say she shows up for the ceremony to see who wins the mural contest artists got to support artists

[00:03:30] You know what I mean, and it turns out she wins

[00:03:34] Apparently her mom submitted a piece on her behalf will is the runner-up?

[00:03:39] What won't her prize is if she gets to paint whatever she wants to on the side of a building in town

[00:03:47] Pretty well

[00:03:49] Will shows up and it's like hey, I just kind of wanted to see what I was missing out

[00:03:53] I've never seen a side of a building before pretty cool pretty cool building

[00:03:59] Good luck with this turns out will is an art therapist one of the reasons why he was buying all that all that paint

[00:04:06] It's gonna help kids so I bet you feel pretty bad now

[00:04:09] Don't you and that's actually good news because Parker her son actually

[00:04:14] Should probably be in therapy because he's been having a tough time ever since his dad passed away

[00:04:20] Will's dad also passed away when he was a kid and so he offers to me with Parker

[00:04:24] And when he sees that Olivia is a bit overwhelmed with the mural

[00:04:28] He also offers to help with that too what a guy what a guy believable

[00:04:32] He's just offering things left and right they start hanging out a lot and

[00:04:36] With and without Parker. He decorates the studio for Christmas her mom is really pushing for will

[00:04:44] To come over for dinner and even invites him over for dinner without asking her at all

[00:04:49] they spend some solo time outside by the fire and

[00:04:53] She talks about how

[00:04:55] The two are gonna be heading back to New York City

[00:04:58] And he leans in close and he's like yeah

[00:05:01] It's nothing to stay here for huh? You decided to not stare at one. Sorry. I was staring at Brian

[00:05:07] Oh staring at Brian that's on me

[00:05:10] so

[00:05:12] I guess there's nothing to stay stay for

[00:05:16] That's when they kiss they kiss and she pulls away

[00:05:19] She runs inside and she falls asleep holding the picture of her dead husband

[00:05:22] Fall in there. She talks with her mom

[00:05:26] About being a little bit overbearing and explains that leaving New York makes her feel like she would be

[00:05:33] One failing as a mom two failing as a wife three failing as an artist

[00:05:40] mom

[00:05:41] Encourages her to

[00:05:43] One you're a great mom

[00:05:45] two

[00:05:47] He's dead and three the candy the candy and also

[00:05:53] D

[00:05:54] Art is not only in New York City. Did you know that go see the candy it is see the candy

[00:06:00] The next day she asks Parker how he would feel about moving here and he is all in he's pumped about this idea

[00:06:08] This kid hates New York. It's time for the mural unveiling. She goes up

[00:06:14] Do thank yous and whatnot and ask will to come up because he did a lot of the work as well

[00:06:19] And she announces that she's gonna be opening up a studio in town

[00:06:23] Yeah

[00:06:24] They unveiled the mural it's cute

[00:06:29] And that then she tells will that she is

[00:06:34] Ready to fall in love one and two

[00:06:37] She is one ready to fall in love and two

[00:06:40] Falling in love with him and see the candy

[00:06:44] She then hands him a brush

[00:06:46] It's gotta be see the candy and tells it is and tells him hey look over there at that mural

[00:06:52] We're sitting over there as an empty chair right next to us one of want to paint yourself into our picture

[00:07:00] He says yeah, and they kiss good ones. They decorate cookies with Parker and they kiss

[00:07:07] Behind his back, but in a way in which so that he can see it

[00:07:11] School and now my friends was our Christmas mural

[00:07:18] The candy is correct thank you. It's good good. I'm glad we're gonna take a quick break. We're gonna come back

[00:07:23] We're gonna break this movie down with four segments plus a Vic Webster here on

[00:07:29] Hallmark

[00:07:30] Saturday

[00:07:39] Hello, welcome back everybody. We're talking about our Christmas mural the final movie for us that air during the

[00:07:46] Thanksgiving week we're finally getting to it. It's great to be here today on a Saturday

[00:07:50] What a day a rainy day here and yeah that greenville, but it doesn't make you out of greenville

[00:07:54] I'm less special so much to love around here living

[00:07:58] Dude when it's raining outside there's all kinds of fun things so much fun stuff

[00:08:00] Oh, what's your favorite rainy day? I'm Judson's down there on main. Yeah, Christmas tree still looks great in the rain

[00:08:05] We go out to the big air which is yeah

[00:08:08] Park yeah group therapy downtown got a great children's museum in town that we like to check out wonderful group therapy

[00:08:14] You can go there's a bar also like like all kinds of fun stuff you can play all kinds of

[00:08:18] Endorming put put all kinds of fun stuff there

[00:08:22] Lots to do

[00:08:23] Genie's ice cream so I mean come on forget about it

[00:08:27] Let's talk about our crew speaking of which and they're not a sponsor

[00:08:29] There's a local ice cream place in town Claire's Creamery and they just released their Christmas ice cream flavors

[00:08:34] And one of them is the peppermint hot chocolate ice cream

[00:08:38] It's if you're living in Greenville you need to go to Claire's a

[00:08:43] 200 square

[00:08:44] Already is probably need to go get a at least a scoop or six of the peppermint hot chocolate ice cream

[00:08:50] It'll change your life and you went with the peppermint crunch

[00:08:52] I went with the power of crunch and took our families together Dan and I were together

[00:08:56] Oh, this is and I said Dan

[00:08:58] Do you think the Christmas?

[00:09:00] Yeah, and he said let me find out so he's chatting with them they have a phone and other phones you can you can chat with them. Yeah, and

[00:09:08] They said yes, we do have the flavors

[00:09:10] Perfect thanks, right and that was the end the conversation. That's not what I wanted

[00:09:13] We took them that's not what I wanted you to write beside me and you said

[00:09:18] Please respond to them that we are standing or we're clapping

[00:09:22] We're standing in clapping clapping were so excited and I was like no and he was like why wouldn't you do that?

[00:09:28] And I said one I'm not standing or clapping but I was and two

[00:09:33] Perfect thanks is the rational thing to say but my my argument was like you should always try to figure out a way to respond

[00:09:39] That would make someone's day

[00:09:41] Okay, or

[00:09:44] As often as possible and then we went we got ice cream. I don't see the big deal

[00:09:47] You tell me when you got there that you applauded brand did you actually didn't I kind of

[00:09:52] Yeah, sounds like this is all on you I'll chat with them great

[00:09:55] But now anybody out there find Claire's on the Google and just

[00:10:00] But also go get anything you want really they're there for you like the peppermint crunch well the peppermint crunch

[00:10:05] How long do they have this ice cream? I think for the next

[00:10:07] Probably through the haul I got some time here. You still haven't I've never tried it. Oh my gosh

[00:10:11] Sounds like I need to I like it better than any peppermint milkshake or frosty. I'll say that

[00:10:17] Whoa

[00:10:18] That's a big statement

[00:10:20] What are we doing getting peppermint shakes every day?

[00:10:22] Well, let's get peppermint shakes every day. That's crazy

[00:10:26] We would not that's reckless with a company credit card down for peppermint shakes every day

[00:10:33] Same let's get a technicality there. Let's talk about our Christmas mural. Let's get to the uh the hot take

[00:10:39] We'll share exactly how we felt about this movie. We do not hold back the hot take and uh, brian

[00:10:43] Let's start with you brian. What'd you think about our Christmas mural?

[00:10:46] Yeah, I really like this premise for a movie an uninspired artist classic

[00:10:51] I really like this premise. I really like this premise

[00:10:54] You're selected for like a major painting project and you're just not into it any it could be anything

[00:10:59] You could be like an architect and you're like any any occupation where you know

[00:11:03] You got to be creative or you got to excel at something and you're like blocked creatively

[00:11:08] I was really excited to see how the mural turned out in this movie like the whole time leading up

[00:11:12] It was sort of like yeah, yeah, yeah, let's get to the mural. I gotta see this thing and

[00:11:17] I'd say she's she's no master of light, but it came out pretty good. Like I was I was happy with what she did there

[00:11:24] Uh, clearly not enough mural though like they saved it to the very end and we barely got the title

[00:11:29] It's I mean you gotta bring the more murals hashtag one mural and obviously I could have used a little more painting

[00:11:34] Process of course again not super christmasy like throughout

[00:11:39] I felt like there was more dead dad talk than christmas

[00:11:42] Talk and christmas celebration. There's a lot of that

[00:11:45] It obviously should have been named a wellington christmas not our christmas mural like our christmas mural just the name is so boring

[00:11:53] Yeah, but a wellington christmas, which they say is the that's the name of the mural

[00:11:58] I feel like that's a great movie movie title

[00:12:01] uh and kody a true hustler kody miller the uh

[00:12:05] The community events guy a true hustler and every sense of the word left a date to host an event just out there hustling

[00:12:11] Too much hustle. I would say it's hurting him. He's it's too much hustle for his own good

[00:12:16] So I actually really like this movie see the hustler of the week

[00:12:20] Cody miller hustler of the week

[00:12:24] Yeah, absolutely miller he earned this one kody miller

[00:12:30] hustler of the week

[00:12:34] Okay that last clap though is for claire's

[00:12:37] We were sitting down though. We're sitting down. We should let them let them

[00:12:42] Follow it on tv slash d t it's gotten out a hand around here

[00:12:46] So that's where I stand

[00:12:49] Yeah, I think my big takeaway from this movie is of the movies we've watched this year where there's been a love declaration at the end of it

[00:12:57] This one

[00:12:59] Was the one that I was just felt the most like you don't need to say you don't need to start with love

[00:13:04] Like you know when you tell someone that you like them you don't have to start with love

[00:13:09] And I want to let everyone know that you don't have to start with I love you because it just

[00:13:16] She went within a 24 hour time frame went from I'm a failure

[00:13:22] To I love you

[00:13:24] And that's like a lot to work through

[00:13:27] And maybe just be like hey, I'd be willing to just like continue to hang out kind of see where this goes

[00:13:32] You don't have to say I'm ready for love and I think I'm loving you that's a lot

[00:13:38] Um, overall just an okay for me again to Brian's point

[00:13:43] When title is our Christmas mural you're working. You're worried you got a large hill to to climb up

[00:13:49] This movie was a bit of a

[00:13:52] A slog for me. It's gonna end up probably towards the the the bottom for me, but uh,

[00:13:58] The idea of Christmas being worse than letters to santa is a riot. It is an unequivocal fact

[00:14:03] It's not a fact. It's a fact

[00:14:07] It's an unequivocal fact. Yeah, it isn't uh

[00:14:11] The good news

[00:14:13] The good news for you, uh our Christmas mural stands out there is is that in the kickoff episode I believe

[00:14:19] I had this in my bottom three, uh least anticipated whatever we do there

[00:14:23] I don't know um, and it did not crack that list

[00:14:26] In my actual list. It is at least three or four out of that list

[00:14:31] I had it just above everything Christmas. Um

[00:14:35] The this is what I call losing one to the schedule

[00:14:37] I I think at some point

[00:14:39] You're gonna have a movie that is got the generic hallmark trappings big city girl back to her hometown

[00:14:47] Meets the guy that stayed there falls in loves moves back to the hometown

[00:14:51] So you got that

[00:14:52] You got the fact that this is movie number close to 30 that we've watched so we're really in the doldrums

[00:14:57] this is like

[00:14:59] Tough at this point like we're we've watched this was our 11th of 11 movies to watch this week

[00:15:05] So that isn't good. Um, I thought the two leads were fine

[00:15:10] They work well together

[00:15:11] I also want to give hallmark props for taking the generic plot line generic plot line and adding

[00:15:18] Some moral complexity to it instead of her coming home and just going

[00:15:22] I realize I like party planning better than big business business

[00:15:26] Instead of doing that, which is what they did in the 20 teens

[00:15:30] She has this monologue where she's like

[00:15:33] If I go to new york for art and I don't become an artist then i'm a failure. I have a kit like

[00:15:38] I'm listing all of these things in my head. It's not as simple as small town. Yeah

[00:15:44] And I appreciate that could it have been in a more entertaining package? Yes, it could have

[00:15:49] The movie needed to be more about the mural if

[00:15:52] You're gonna call it our christmas mural absolutely boring at times. You bet you not good at all

[00:15:59] but

[00:16:00] It they did do a couple things that made me happy that it wasn't just super duper generic like it would have been 10 years ago

[00:16:08] So there you have boring at times you bet you bet you put it on the box

[00:16:11] Put it on the box. That's right boring still better than letters to santa

[00:16:16] Any sane minded person can agree with that. Yeah in fact

[00:16:19] Never mind. I won't do that because that would be really mean I'll just I'll save it. I'll I'm gonna say I'll tell you all fair

[00:16:26] No, if it was to you I would I would have said it thank you

[00:16:29] um

[00:16:30] It's time for all the fields when we're talking about what this video says feels

[00:16:33] Yeah, yeah, there was a very small moment that turned into something they used to be a bigger part of the story

[00:16:38] But there was a point where her dad cleaned the studio for her and she walked in

[00:16:43] And we and she's I think it was her just in a passing comment said yeah

[00:16:46] Oh, it looks like my dad cleaned the studio and I was like that stood out to me immediately

[00:16:50] I'm like that dad is struggling like he's going through it. He's retired. He doesn't know what to do with himself

[00:16:55] He did this great thing for his daughter

[00:16:57] What a guy and then later on so that was my feels when that happened and then later on you find out

[00:17:01] He is struggling

[00:17:02] He wants to he's gonna help in every way he can and so if he came sort of a bigger part

[00:17:06] It wasn't just a small little thing

[00:17:07] But that gave me feels realizing this guy finally he had a little project to work on he put his

[00:17:12] Hard into it. He's got his daughter coming home

[00:17:15] Hopefully that all works out his grandson is going to be around and so just the dad situation in general was uh, was a good feels for me

[00:17:22] um, I thought parker was great and adorable and just cutest could be and obviously

[00:17:28] They wanted this to be a feels and it was a feels for me when he at the end

[00:17:32] Is like he's excited to come to be moving here and he drops

[00:17:37] The thing that he's been holding the whole time as like the comfort thing for him

[00:17:40] Great moment great moment and parker question this movie shout out to parker

[00:17:44] Uh, there's so many weight what's involved with the art therapy of it all uh in this movie but

[00:17:50] The the fact that you get to see some breakthrough and some

[00:17:55] Intentionality with like meeting someone where they are and the way that dan genots character does that with the kid. I thought was

[00:18:03] Fine thought that was pretty good. That's all I got. So you would say jan dan jen. Yes, you're not

[00:18:10] Everything right over here right back on candy

[00:18:21] Welcome back ninjas. How are you? Hopefully you're doing doing well

[00:18:26] Uh, we're talking about our christmas mural. Did you guys know that uh that rig paints on the side? What does he

[00:18:33] Therapy that is unbelievable. I don't know. I don't know I had enough enough about this

[00:18:38] I walked it on the other day who's painting really yeah, there's smock on and everything. Yeah whole small deal

[00:18:43] Yeah, that's unbelievable too because all I wear is a print when I paint. Yeah

[00:18:49] How long have you been painting? Caution nude painter

[00:18:52] How long have you been painting? Oh, yes? I only use oil base and lead base paint. That's smart. It's probably easier to find

[00:19:01] I find the lead base paint has a pleasing aroma

[00:19:05] Kids love it too. Yeah, so you've been doing that in here

[00:19:08] Strip down I stripped down to nothing and I put on my apron. Is there any kiss the brush apron?

[00:19:18] What is the I don't like it the more I think about it the less I like it

[00:19:23] Is there a like some sort of artistic

[00:19:26] Like advantage to painting nude. Yeah, I studied at a very particular school that focused my pants

[00:19:34] I'm out. No, no, we're not doing that today

[00:19:39] This movie is too important

[00:19:42] It's time for the way what is what we're talking about brought up rick. I know he didn't just pop in

[00:19:47] I know but he's been painting so I just felt like

[00:19:50] It felt relevant

[00:19:52] Uh, brian wait what so anything in this movie to go away? What a few things well-liked in hardware

[00:19:56] It seems they have their own line of branded paint gallons

[00:20:01] In the store a small town

[00:20:04] It's not even like an ace hardware like wellington hardware

[00:20:07] It's just a one-off and they got so maybe they just have them printed and slap them on like bear paint or something

[00:20:12] But that seems really expensive

[00:20:15] The mural process in general was

[00:20:18] Just really weird at first. I thought I was so relieved when I realized they're painting inside

[00:20:23] Because I thought starting out

[00:20:26] Oh, no, we're doing this outside outside

[00:20:28] 30 degree weather. Yeah. Oh boy. This is gonna be brutal and they didn't so what a relief that was but just

[00:20:34] She has to do all the prep

[00:20:35] She's hanging up the the 2x4s for the framing like she seems to be doing a whole lot of work

[00:20:41] And out of pocket I assume uh, she her dad's

[00:20:45] Yeah, she won the opportunity to do this to do this for free for the city of wellington

[00:20:50] So I was just like, uh, it's just so much. Um, they seem to let just anybody enter the contest

[00:20:57] What I I you should restrict it to residents only if it's gonna be like a town-wide thing

[00:21:02] She shows up from new york city the day of the judgment and submit

[00:21:07] She puts a well her parents put submission in sure the day before they announced the winner

[00:21:13] So, I mean, maybe maybe it is residents only and they skirted the rules a little bit there because the mom did it

[00:21:18] You're still taking submissions 12 hours before you're announcing the winner. So it was just that morning

[00:21:24] It was a bit of that morning. You're right. The paining and so

[00:21:27] I just feel like that's just you should not be doing it. Just not fair. Uh, there was this quote brand

[00:21:32] I think this hopefully upset you as much as it upset me

[00:21:35] Uh, she said to her mom. I'm an adult woman. I don't need a glass of milk

[00:21:40] Offensive I love drinking milk like there's nothing wrong with that. I'm off. Yeah shove off mom

[00:21:45] And she was brutal that mom

[00:21:47] She was

[00:21:48] Uh, was it better help?

[00:21:50] Exactly that's why it's here

[00:21:54] Hey therapist, you won't believe what mom said this time. She tried to give me milk

[00:22:00] Uh, checkoffs rifle principle. We all know this. Yeah, right

[00:22:05] So you show a gun you better fire that guy you show me a baby grand piano in one scene

[00:22:11] You better play that with the family gathered round

[00:22:14] They were all eating dinner together and it right framed perfectly behind them was a baby grand

[00:22:19] The music book already opened just for show just first show that nobody gathered around

[00:22:23] I thought we were gonna get a sing-along and we didn't I'm like you you just don't what's the point of having a piano in the scene

[00:22:29] Uh, yeah, that's it. That was it for me

[00:22:32] Um, yeah, we mentioned we touched on it briefly just now but

[00:22:36] artists

[00:22:38] charge serious money for side of the wall murals

[00:22:42] So to make people enter a contest where the prize is that they get to do that

[00:22:50] No artists that should be painting the side of a wall is going to enter that contest

[00:22:55] Because they're gonna charge too much money

[00:22:57] So either you're gonna get a bunch of like us paintings and be like wouldn't it be a funny band?

[00:23:03] If we win and we get the pain outside of this city wall

[00:23:08] It'd be hilarious. Yeah, so they really lucked out with her. They did. They really lucked out at one point

[00:23:14] We're at uh wills it was it will the guy? I don't know

[00:23:18] His art class and he's talking through

[00:23:22] They're all painting Rudolph. Yep. And at one point he says if the nose isn't red

[00:23:27] It's not Rudolph. It's some other nameless reindeer

[00:23:31] I mean, I could think of eight other reindeer

[00:23:34] Most of all, how dare you I can think of eight other reindeer names that don't have red noses could be one of them

[00:23:41] Maybe I made an artistic choice. That's right. Maybe I wanted a pain prancer

[00:23:47] Could have been any of them. Um

[00:23:50] She's talking

[00:23:51] It's like the day uh the night before

[00:23:54] the the mural reveal and uh

[00:23:58] I think it's her mom is like are you ready for it?

[00:24:00] And she's like, yeah, I'm hoping to knock it out tomorrow morning before the unveiling

[00:24:03] Yeah, yeah, I hope so man. I hope so

[00:24:06] You're you're finishing that sucker up the morning of

[00:24:10] That's wild it last but not least like if you're gonna paint if you're gonna have this wall mural

[00:24:16] Like take up the whole wall. Like I think the oh like it's now weirder to have just like this small like all the side

[00:24:23] The wall murals I've seen take up the whole wall and it's like this amazing thing

[00:24:26] This is just like this little little stinker on the on the side

[00:24:31] Little disappointing. I was hoping we'd get the full nice wall. No, we did not but what can you do dana

[00:24:37] Ryan mentioned the hardware store but neglected to inform you that this local hardware store with its own paint also has three

[00:24:43] Full aisles of art supplies

[00:24:46] So this is not ace. This is not home depot. This is a local hardware store that has three aisles

[00:24:52] Is it just an art store?

[00:24:54] It's transforming into a hardware store and here's the thing is is

[00:24:58] Right behind aisle eight there is a whole wall of candles

[00:25:02] Like I don't think they know what hardware store means

[00:25:05] They know their customer because I saw no hardware store stuff anywhere. I saw a lot of art supplies and candles

[00:25:12] Different store that might be michael's that is that might not that might not be a local hardware store

[00:25:19] Crafts. Um, I'm gonna tell you a line of dialogue in this movie. Then I'm gonna tell you who said it

[00:25:25] The line trivia night is literally the only thing on my social calendar

[00:25:29] The person that said it the director of cune communication and recreational services in the town hustler of the week

[00:25:36] I just this guy's job

[00:25:39] is to plan

[00:25:41] recreational of social events

[00:25:44] Yeah

[00:25:45] And the only one on his calendar is trivia night that he doesn't plan. I think he just doesn't use a calendar

[00:25:50] You think that's one of the guy that's the director of communication and recreational services. Yeah

[00:25:56] Um, he also says that line then turns around to the girl and goes

[00:26:00] Oh, are you gonna go to the winter walk? Everybody goes to the winter walk. Not you

[00:26:04] It's not on your calendar. No

[00:26:06] Um, is dan jenot a public school teacher that is also a licensed art therapist that is also holding

[00:26:13] free classes over christmas break

[00:26:15] He is not a human being contender for hustler of the week. He is not a human being

[00:26:22] A licensed art therapist public school because he can't charge for those classes in the public school

[00:26:29] He can't that would be conflict of interest. It's a resume builder. He's giving free art lessons

[00:26:34] To kids on his christmas break while he's also a licensed art therapist and while he's doing all that

[00:26:41] He's also making out with one of his client's moms

[00:26:45] You want to talk about some trauma

[00:26:48] Your therapist

[00:26:50] Making out with your mom

[00:26:53] That that's trauma. That is that is some like you're gonna be unpacking that for years to come

[00:27:00] Uh, it's well, luckily your new dad's your therapist so you can talk very easy. Oh no

[00:27:05] um

[00:27:06] I did feel like the continual setting up of these two by the family seemed very aggressive to me

[00:27:11] Like it was more than just the casual

[00:27:14] I'm gonna let you two talk and go in the other room. It was like every scene was like a

[00:27:18] Oh, why don't you guys get to know each other? Oh, look at that. You said hey or look at blah blah blah

[00:27:21] I think he likes you. I just felt like it was very very aggressive

[00:27:25] Uh, and then also I couldn't believe the the entire town has one art teacher

[00:27:29] This town seems too big for everyone k to 12 to take

[00:27:33] Just

[00:27:34] Art from one teacher. I don't think mathematically the hustler of the week that that works and running

[00:27:40] And that's all good. Uh, it's time for what the hallmarks where you wonder what could have been

[00:27:43] Maybe having this in clarity questions that we still have

[00:27:46] What do you got? Uh, this is this works out great over there. Hey you I

[00:27:50] I had a feeling yours was gonna be one of mine. So I mean it has to it's a

[00:27:55] Classic brand with the whole art. So I'm gonna go with my first one. Uh, the mural contest

[00:28:00] um

[00:28:01] It I was so confused by how they ran this because I thought that if you're in a mural contest

[00:28:08] That multiple people are going to draw murals like maybe small versions

[00:28:13] And you're gonna pick the mural that wins the contest. You're gonna have like one wall five or six murals

[00:28:18] No, like you submit a drawing and you get to paint the mural and they have no say over what you're gonna draw

[00:28:23] You don't know what you're getting like it's all like a very secretive process

[00:28:26] It's a hodgepodge balloon. It would have been way more fun if you had six murals to to decorate your downtown

[00:28:32] Yeah, so I was just like what the heck like how did did it? Why did they do do it this way?

[00:28:37] I didn't like he's still figuring it out. Maybe it'll be better next year. Yeah

[00:28:41] He'll figure it out. We'll get there. Um

[00:28:44] It's cody that's his name. Miller cody miller is talking to will

[00:28:47] So good, um

[00:28:49] About you know how things are kind of going because he's noticed that you know, he has been talking to

[00:28:55] What's her name the girl and it's like yeah?

[00:28:59] You know, she brought parker by we did some art therapy

[00:29:03] And that was good and he's like sounds like it was a pretty good first date

[00:29:07] And will says I mean it was art therapy. I wouldn't consider it a date

[00:29:12] And he says that wouldn't even make the top five weirdest dates i've ever been on

[00:29:21] What is cody's story man, you gotta need a little more that is a wild thing to say

[00:29:29] Weirder than going to art therapy

[00:29:31] That's a weird like your mom like them. There's a more that's a weird date a weird date

[00:29:37] All right, buddy

[00:29:40] What is your story man? Okay, dana. Um, so this one's kind of a feels as well and I forgot it

[00:29:45] I saw it at the bottom of my notes here

[00:29:47] Homework starting to really do a lot of cameos. We saw west brown and rachel boston at builtmore

[00:29:53] We've seen a bunch of cameos since really last year

[00:29:57] Benjamin airs has a scene in this movie where he gets to play the boss that is firing our leading lady

[00:30:05] He's so great like you normally get a very generic

[00:30:10] Just canadian to deliver those lines with some sort of furrowed brow and you move along and it's a forgettable

[00:30:18] Your it's almost designed to be forgettable

[00:30:20] Benjamin airs is like playing a character here and it's he does an amazing job

[00:30:25] Like it's heartfelt

[00:30:28] Like the scene kind of blew me away because I was like this scene shouldn't be this good

[00:30:33] It's way better than it needs to be

[00:30:35] I just want to know the backstory and i'm sure we could text him

[00:30:38] We know we know ol benny and I feel like he could give us the inside of

[00:30:42] Did he go hey, I don't want to just show up. Can I actually like move the plot for it?

[00:30:46] Do they write this and go well? We've got this role

[00:30:49] Can you can you step in and do it? But it was maybe my favorite cameo from an acting perspective because he got to like

[00:30:56] Flex is acting chops and that was fun and I just I enjoyed that so there you go. That's a good one. Yeah

[00:31:02] Well, are there any fights? Yeah, that's the question

[00:31:06] Listen, nothing causes more friction and fistfights than the art community

[00:31:10] Um, and so it would make sense that there would be one here

[00:31:13] But let's find out vik wepster is gonna listen. There's a fighting chance with thick webster

[00:31:25] We did someone get hurt is a fighting chance with thick webster

[00:31:31] A fighting chance with thick webster

[00:31:34] A fighting chance with thick webster

[00:31:39] Oh, there was some action in this movie

[00:31:41] um

[00:31:42] Correction reactions. It's not quite the same

[00:31:47] A fighting chance with thick webster

[00:31:50] I love it. He's getting started

[00:31:53] I'm gonna be sad when the season's over. Can I be honest me too? I'm already getting sad. I'm getting pretty sad about it

[00:31:58] Me too. That's all I get about christmas, but I feel that now you know what it's like

[00:32:01] Uh, we're back tomorrow. Uh, patrick will be here. We're gonna be bringing out a lifetime movie until then

[00:32:08] Maybe the first to wish you a merry christmas
