[00:00:32] We hope you like this jolly podcast. Well hello everybody! How are we today? Happy Wednesday to ya! Man. Yeah, we're heading back to Paris. Week's rolling right along. Is it? Yeah! Sure! It sure is. It's not a super hot week in South Carolina and you know, it's fine. Hottest week of the year. They waited till almost the end of the summer and we did it. We finally made it. Is it cooling down up there at all?

[00:01:01] I will tell you guys, no it feels good. It actually feels good up here. Of course. Rain and a little cool and chilly, but on a bunch of podcasts that I'm listening to right now, true crime. There's this amazing commercial for Greenville, South Carolina where they're like, she disappeared. She was going on a trip to Greenville, South Carolina and then it's like she decided to stay. It's like this whole thing. It's like come to Greenville. Like you may disappear. It's a whole.

[00:01:30] A commercial world. It's a commercial. It may disappear. I mean, I hope you don't, but also like, I mean, we don't, I'm torn because I do want people to see our city. I think it's a great city. Sure. But we were about maxed out. Yeah. Do you know what I mean? Like we're, I'm starting to drive on just regular days of the week and being like, why is it so busy? Why is it taking me five minutes instead of three? That's right. Exactly. That's exactly the kind of thing that's bothering me. It's so mad. It's because of commercials like this. Yeah, absolutely. And then I, I will say this.

[00:02:00] I'd been a while since I'd done this. I went to the, we went to Matador on main main street. Shout out. Great Mexican food. Uh, and then we were going to go to Home Depot and I decided to take the academy on Sunday morning. None of this matters to anyone, not in Greenville at, uh, at 11 55 in the morning. Huge mistake. Grace is getting out. First pres. Orthodox. Greek Orthodox. They're all in a row.

[00:02:26] And I turned onto academy and I was like, what festival is in town that I don't know about on Sunday morning. And it was just, possibly, amen. It was possibly the three biggest churches in downtown Greenville all getting out at the same time. It was my personal hell. I just, oh my goodness. Cause I don't know if you know this church people driving. Oh, forget about it. Forget about it. They've just been convicted. Oh my God. And their hearts.

[00:02:56] And they're just like, oh, and then some of them are walking cause it's downtown. It's just a, my, oh my goodness. Uh, was that Alex that just walked by in the background? Oh, it was. Do you want to say something in French, Alex? Oh, this guy. Oui, oui. This guy. My goodness. Isn't it amazing? He's a banker and I'm at work earlier than he is. That's right. Honestly, banker hours. Am I right? Not surprising. Unbelievable. That's why my internet's so slow. Yeah. That's crazy.

[00:03:25] Alex, get better internet. The guy can't afford the upgrade. It's unbelievable. Right. That's right. He can't afford it. In New York City when there's not a lot of internet options. That's the thing. You just don't have, you gotta give whatever it is. I'm surprised you can even get bad internet in New York City. That's crazy. The competition. I think it's something special that happens to me. The competition would be such that you would get the, that's how that works, right? You would get the best internet. Yeah, it should work. Unless you're Jacks. Yeah. That's right. I still blame Alex for this though. Why don't we, like what is it?

[00:03:55] Probably the upgrade's $20 a month. Man, we can't afford to pay for somebody else's internet right now. We can't. That's true. Alex can! I actually think it's my computer. Oh, okay. Yeah. Genuinely. I'll still blame Alex though. Yeah, we can. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good. We, we. All right. Uh, Paris is always a good idea is what we're talking about today. Episode four, uh, saw lots of chattering on the internet. I was very excited to dive into this and where about to dive into it right now. It originally aired, uh, this episode is just called nightly. Nightly. Nightly.

[00:04:24] And it aired on August 13th, 2026 on the Hallmark plus. And it went a little something like this. Uh, we find out that this, uh, right away that this whole time that she's been talking into her phone, she's been talking to nightly, uh, cut back to when they met the first time her boss calls her into the office and shows her a video of Jason nightly dancing. And he says, we've hired this guy and he's actually going to be your partner and donor gifts. She's not thrilled by this. I don't need a partner and starts talking trash about this guy.

[00:04:53] Not, doesn't even have good dance moves, nice face, but bad dance moves. He walks in right behind her, overhears this. They quickly butt heads and, uh, agree to compete to see who can bring in the most donors. He asks if they can go out for drinks afterwards, smooth things over. And in her head, she's like, I wanted to say yes to this, but she does not say yes to this. And that led to them being rivals for years. Now we're back in Paris and we see them still eating fries like they were at the end

[00:05:23] of last week's episode and, uh, just having a moment. And she talks, uh, into her phone and she says, you nightly will always be my biggest. What if? Yeah. So after they finished, uh, eating their fries, they go for a walk and they talk. And he asks if she's heard from the third guy, Marcos. And she says that she hasn't heard back from him yet.

[00:05:50] And she says that she kind of just ghosted him back in the day. So she's not expecting to hear back. She left immediately after she heard that her mom was sick, never returned any of his phone calls after that. It wasn't him. She was just a real mess at the time. And as they're talking, they get real close to kissing, but they're interrupted by texts from work because it's now work hours in Boston. So they're all getting a bunch of stuff.

[00:06:14] Uh, she calls her sister to chat, but immediately tells her to keep hanging out with her Irish boo thing. The next day, Chelsea and Jason agree to go out after work to celebrate closing the $50 million deal that they're about to go and have the final conversation about. She gets a call from Marcos, but declines the call. When they get to the meeting, Jason is the only one on the list for this meeting. He insists that Chelsea is a part of this meeting.

[00:06:42] The CEO of the company, the $50 million one is basically like, I don't want to work with Chelsea on this. Uh, I only want to work with you, Jason Knightley, but Jason isn't having it. He just brags and brags about how amazing Chelsea is. And that, uh, even says that she's the reason why he even works at the ACC in the first place. Uh, the CEO wants to meet for dinner and talk about this more afterwards. He talks about, she's like, what do you mean?

[00:07:11] I'm the reason why you worked at the ACC. That was a weird thing to lie about. And he's like, Oh, no lie here. Um, I actually saw you give a presentation and was so taken aback by your passion that I applied the very next day to work alongside of you. And she's like, Oh man. And I've been so mean to you ever since your very first day. And he says, I like you mean though. And you better not get soft on me just because you're falling for me. And she's like, Oh, come again, sir. And he's like, don't worry. I'm falling for you too.

[00:07:40] She finds out that the CEO did want her off this deal. After talking to her boss, uh, her boss tells her to just focus on securing the deal. Don't let that bother you. Uh, they show up to dinner and are shocked to find out that they're not going out to dinner. They're going into dinner. Uh, they invited her to her house and she surprises them with a famous chef who is trying out a new menu on them. Dan's dream.

[00:08:06] Uh, she tells Chelsea that she wants a full oversight over every dollar that she donates. And Chelsea says, that's impossible. And then goes to leave. She's like, we're done here. And she says, uh, she's like, please stay. So Chelsea opens up about how control is an illusion when working with cancer treatment. And she opens up about her mom and how this work means so much to her because she wants her mom's legacy to really mean something. And she hopes that this work will do that.

[00:08:35] The CEO opens up about how she had stage one breast cancer and she wants to make sure that she can help as many people as possible. She is in 50 million dollars. 50 million dollars. Yes. Uh, kids in the spotlight. Having a real good time. Having a real good time. Uh, they go to celebrate by going up to the top of the Eiffel tower. He gives her his jacket to keep her warm and he holds her steady as they're going up the elevator. They get to the top and it becomes very clear that he's afraid of heights.

[00:09:03] And so he asks her to distract him and they start doing the rapid fire questions like they're in the, at the end of a deck, the hallmark interview. And he almost kisses her, but they decide to head back down to the ground. And he says that he saw that Marcos called her earlier and he thinks that it kind of bothers him. And she says, I didn't even listen to the message. In fact, I haven't even thought about the message. You know why? Because I am falling for you. And they kiss big ones. She leg lifts. It's serious stuff.

[00:09:32] They keep, uh, kissing all the way up the elevator back at the hotel. And they kind of want to keep kissing if you know what I mean. But she sees her sister waiting for her at the hotel. So she has to call it a night to see if she's okay. The next day, her and Knightley are holding hands and he says, I'm going to have to ask you to go and see Marcos. He says, I've fallen for you.

[00:09:57] And I want to make sure that in the future, there's never any question about any what ifs that you have had. And she's like, I don't want to go see Marcos. He really pushes her to go see Marcos because he's a stupid, stupid boy. They kiss one more time and off she goes. He goes to hop in a cab with Chelsea's sister. And that's when he finds out that she, that he just sent this girl that he really likes

[00:10:23] to go see her ex who is a billionaire. And that my friends was Paris is always a good idea. Episode four nightly. We really did it. Thank you, man. Yeah. Let's take a break. We'll come back. We will break this episode down here on deck. Take the hallmark.

[00:10:53] We're back. Hi, everybody. Paris is always a good idea. And we're talking about it today. That's my understanding. Episode four, all about Jason Knightley. Let's share our thoughts on it. We're going to start with a hot take. So we're going to share exactly how you felt about this episode. We're not going to hold back. I'll start with you, Jax. Jax, what'd you think about Knightley? Mmm. Say a piece of Maxi Tillman. Is what I say. No, I've said that. What does that mean? Yeah. Should I translate? Please do.

[00:11:24] This episode has me so turned on. Oh. Wow. Okay. Maybe I didn't say that, but okay. I, I, look, I was so excited to talk about this with you guys because this was an episode of television that just had me surprised. I thought it was the perfect orchestration of putting this episode forth of seeing their romance blossom.

[00:11:51] And then to Dan's point from last week of saying like, oh, we, we know she's going to end up with Knightley. I mean, look, she still probably will, but whatever's happening is at least making it exciting. We don't know exactly what's going on. I thought the chemistry between these two in this episode was off the charts, but yet also really like subtle and real.

[00:12:12] And I thought we had some really beautiful heartfelt moments where, um, Lacey and Knightley got to really bare their souls to each other. So this was a, this was a, and that was, unfortunately that's all they got to bare to each other because her sister showed up. With an, like actual problems and sad and stuff. Oh, what a sad sack. Yeah. What a sad sack, but she's a cutie. I wish that this character was gay.

[00:12:42] Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, soccer. Look, I've dated athletes that were women. I'm no male athletes, but women. Sure. Okay. Yeah. You liked the episode? I did. I did. So you wouldn't date a male athlete, but you would date a female. Well, I only know. Let's be clear. I've only dated one athlete. She played basketball for NYU and she was really good. Really good. Got it. So Alex probably goes out there though.

[00:13:11] And he strikes me as someone who would probably be good at like ultimate Frisbee. He, like, Oh, actually he does play tennis. He plays tennis. Okay. And, and football. And of course, but I wouldn't say he's an athlete the way, you know, we're here in the United States. We say so. It's fine. If we're going to say football, there's something about Alex that despite his accent, I see him going to central park on Saturdays for ultimate Frisbee. You know what? I get that because he loves a hobby. I know he would play ultimate Frisbee with you, brand. Okay.

[00:13:41] I'll play ultimate with them. Yeah. Probably about 10 years now. Wow. But I do like ultimate Frisbee. I just, I mean, it's just, it is what it is. It's fun. Yeah, it's fun. Do you like Frisbee golf? No, I'd rather play ultimate Frisbee than Frisbee. I like real golf. Disc golf drives me nuts. I hate it. I didn't even know that was it. Oh, it's big. It's a big deal. It's big, at least in this area. So many of the parks now have ultimate Frisbee, not ultimate Frisbee, frisbee golf courses. Yeah.

[00:14:10] You know what though, Brand, you know who you would love to play ultimate Frisbee with? Who's that? My sister and her husband met playing ultimate Frisbee and their dog is named Frisbee. Oh my gosh. Yeah. Thematic. Well, I mean, I do like your sister. She's great. Yeah. Shout out Cass. Big fan. Love you Cass. I love this episode. This is so good. To your point, I like, this is just good television. This is good storytelling. That's good TV.

[00:14:37] We have like, this episode being the nightly episode, it is obvious why they would do this, but it is also really compelling and really effective. And boy, howdy, everything that Scott Michael Foster says in this episode works. It, he is dynamite. Mm-hmm . And Lacey has a couple of really great moments as well. And this episode kept me on the edge of my seat. I was really excited to see where it was going. Uh, the kiss was, was fantastic.

[00:15:06] Everything that you would hope that this episode would be when you started to get to know these characters and you see where this is going, this episode delivered in every possible way. I loved it. Fantastic. Dano. Yeah. So, uh, of course we're talking Paris is always a good idea. Episode four. So I'm going to talk about Chris Nolan. Um, naturally, uh, Chris Nolan does this thing, especially with stories that people have heard before.

[00:15:30] He made a movie called Dunkirk, which you can just look up in any history book or Wikipedia and you would know the story or the Odyssey, which is playing right now that everyone knows the story. And by simply messing with the structure of the narrative and telling the story out of order, you can still build suspense.

[00:15:50] Even when you know what the ending is, that doesn't change the fact that if you will use your brain and think non-linearly, you can still garner the fields that you want. The short version of that is, is that people, there's a reason people love the same stories over and over again. They just want to be surprised at how they're told. And I think that's why Chris Nolan is a master director of films where you think, you know, the ending.

[00:16:14] And I also think that's why this episode is a 10 of 10, no notes, high recommend actually a few notes, but by and large, this episode is pretty perfect. Um, all of the stuff I said after episode three, which is unfortunately we kind of know what's going to happen here, blah, blah, blah. And then she's going to end up with him. Yeah. She probably is going to end up with nightly, but kudos to them for them giving us information that would manipulate us. Right.

[00:16:40] So at the beginning they give us the information that she's talking to nightly on the phone. And then I believe if I'm not mistaken, they end, the wedding is taking place at this villa. Is that correct? Did I understand? So the wedding is taking place at the billionaire's villa at the end of this movie. I missed that. Yeah. So, so that's how I read it. She's looking out the window and you see that. Well, that's what they want us to think. Okay. So they at least. I'm assuming, yeah. Yeah.

[00:17:06] So obviously if they had done this, you can do both of those things in the proper context and it's not nearly as suspenseful or fun. And this is a basic thing to do to, to tell a good story, but I still applaud Hallmark for doing it because it's Hallmark and they don't do that normally. Right. So yeah. Does it change the fact that we are going to get a Hallmark ending?

[00:17:31] No, but kudos to them for, for taking a risk, mixing up the, the, the card deck, giving us the story in a nonlinear fashion, giving us information that would lead us to believe maybe we're not getting the ending we think we're going to get. And then kudos to Scott, Michael Foster, Lacey Chabert for just having dynamite chemistry and really crushing it all episode long, uh, in, in this particular story, a great episode of television, really better than anything. I think I saw in 12 dates of Christmas.

[00:18:01] I don't, I still think 12 dates of Christmas is my favorite across the board, but after this episode, if Hallmark is able to stick the landing here, I think this could usurp it as the best TV series that they've ever done, but really great stuff here. I don't know how you could watch this with any anticipation and not feel like you got what you, you got your money's worth. I thought it was excellent. No, no, usurp it. Usurp, no. Thank you. It's time for all the feels.

[00:18:31] That's what we talk about. What in this episode gave us feels? Let's start with you, Jax. There were so many things in this episode that gave me feels that I am going to, and this is going to surprise everybody, stick to my non-sensual feels. Oh, in the world, who are you? I know, I hate to disappoint everyone. So, I think that it was handled so beautifully, and the way Lacey played everything talking about her mom when she's in the pitch.

[00:18:57] When she says, it's a privilege, and I won't just beg you to be a part of it, like there was something about that that she realized that her work is not just so important to so many people, but the legacy of her mom, and that it's enough. It's enough, she doesn't have to beg someone to get in on this with her.

[00:19:20] And the fact that her boss didn't even know about her mom's passing, but that now Knightley does, and she felt comfortable revealing it to him, I just had all sorts of romantic feels from that. Also, when Lacey says about his jacket, I feel like I've worn this more than you lately. Oh, Twitter pated. Great line. And then, I think, finally, this is when I started to cry.

[00:19:51] When Lacey says, hmm, this is my train, let me skip it. I was just, I don't know what it was, you guys. It reminded me of all the Linklater before sunrise, before sunset, before midnight, the movie Once. These are like my favorite movies that, because there's something beautiful to me about a love story. That, in some ways, is unrealized or doesn't last forever.

[00:20:20] And this sort of beautiful tension that is in that. And I think that this, this is the first time I have felt that in Hallmark. Wow. Bold. And it was beautiful. I will say about that line, before that line, I was kind of with Knightley. Like, I know that that sounds crazy. But this idea that, like, you were on this journey, then you left and your mom's whole thing kind of sidetracked and put you in a state of, like, arrested developments.

[00:20:49] And you really couldn't move forward. And now you're so close to doing this thing. Like, do the thing. Don't, I'm not going to be the thing in the way of you doing the thing you came here to do. I was with him. And then she said that line. And I was like, no longer, you gotta, that's gotta be enough. As soon as she says that, that has to be enough. And I was no longer with him. So it was a very good job of selling both POVs that you do not get in Hallmark ever.

[00:21:19] That was the most impressive thing about that scene to me. Completely. And guys, look, I mean, we've been saying it for years, but like, holy moly, Lacey Chabert is a really good actor. Yeah. She's so good. Like, it makes me so angry at the Bill Abbott years when they so clearly were micromanaging every character to do the same thing in every movie because that was just what they felt that someone wanted.

[00:21:48] Like, I remember the first Lacey movie I ever watched was, I believe, Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe. And I was like, I really like her. Like, she's like quirky and like bubbly and like, and then I saw three more Lacey movies and I was like, oh my God. And I, well, Lacey's Lacey, really great. And then the first time that wasn't the case was Christmas in Carolina or no, not Christmas in Carolina. If she was in that, that would have been great. With some movie like whatever that movie is where she comes back to the Carolinas with Tyler Hines. Yeah. Sweet Carolina. Sweet Carolina.

[00:22:17] And I was, and she gives a performance in that movie. And I was like, oh my goodness, maybe I was wrong. And it turns out it wasn't Lacey's fault at all. So she's amazing in this. So good. But man, when, when he just out of nowhere, he's just like, don't get soft on me now. Now that you're falling for me. Boy, howdy. What the heck, brother? That like, Dan, can you imagine you and I saying something like that? The confidence. The confidence. To each other? No, just like in our love lives.

[00:22:46] Back when we were trying to woo our significant others into liking us and we tried that line on for size. Like, I don't think we can get away with it. The confidence it takes to deliver that line is a thousand of ten. Yes. Yeah. It's, it is the, the, the assuredness with which you have to be in yourself to know if you're wrong. If anybody finds out your life's over. If you deliver that line and somebody's like, ooh, gross. Yeah.

[00:23:16] And also, also knowing full well that this person is the person that you're working on securing $50 million for cancer. Yeah. That's, you're working with that person and you go, you know what? I'm going to do it. Yeah. You've jumped, you've jumped out. You've not checked the parachute. You just jumped out of the plane. You're falling for me. And then he gets all close to her and goes, don't worry. I'm falling for you too. Yeah. Puts the, puts the hair over her ear there.

[00:23:44] And then walks away. Yeah. Baller. Doesn't wait to see the response. Nothing. Just walks away. Wild. Yeah. Wild move by that guy. I'd be like, don't, you're, we're. So I like you. I like you. Yeah. You like me? You like me? Check yes. Certainly hope so. I hope that we can, you know. Continue this.

[00:24:14] Continue this. Further this. But no pressure. No pressure. Thank God my wife married me. Yeah. No kidding, man. Actually, I did get to talk to Caitlin about your courtship. Oh my God. And you sounded like you were. Weird. Yeah. Yeah. 100%. But you put it all out in the dance floor. In the same way than, well, let's be real.

[00:24:44] Not in the same way the night we did. But you were very honest about. Sure. How you felt about her. And I do think that that takes a certain. In courageousness and confidence. But I'm pretty sure they actually went up there with a camera and filmed a really intimate,

[00:25:43] romantic scene on the Eiffel Tower, which I just couldn't get over that that was really happening. And if that's the case, kudos to you guys. Great job. All right. Let's take a break. So, but yeah, I was just kind of like, is this now?

[00:27:39] The only thing is, though, then he can give a bunch of money to cancer research. So my mind was going, going, going. But yeah, that was my big thing of that. And also, okay. And this is a question for you guys more than a wait, what? Is the sister still in love with the other guy? Or I can't tell if they're trying to make it feel like she is or just like she's feeling. They've really dropped the ball on the sister. They sure have. I think so, too. Very bad. Like they have, she, the chemistry.

[00:28:08] Brayden wanted to see more of her with the Irish guy. I did, yes. Or Scottish guy. Yeah, me too. He's Irish. Irish. And then we get it and it turns out she's a sad sack that used to date a player from Real Madrid. Yes. And it's just kind of like they skipped five months in their relationship. And then she comes back and she ruins Martin and Knightley's evening, let's be honest. And so like that is.

[00:28:33] It's like the way that she explains it is that she's just like, she's like afraid to fully move on is what it seems like. Like she doesn't still have feelings for the guy, but is like afraid to fully move on. Totally, but like do you buy that the way that she explains it? Yeah, do you know what's completely unearned? A character that's had maybe ten minutes on screen with another dude and then us getting all of this. Yeah. Completely unearned. I mean, but imagine like you're falling for somebody and you're trying to have a fun day with that person playing board games and stuff.

[00:29:00] And you see them and they're watching a soccer game and you're like, oh, what are you watching? It's like, oh, it's just my ex-boyfriend. I can't miss a game. So what's crazy is. Like that would be a weird, like, oh, you're still clearly in love with your ex. I was on the other side from you two on that, which is this guy has this new American girlfriend who wants to watch soccer with him. Yes. Like I, and he's like, what if we play Wingspan? What is that? Like, I don't understand.

[00:29:30] And it's not like she wants to watch like junior varsity rec league. She wants to watch Real Madrid play soccer. I get that we find out. But him being like, you're not invested in this weird board game we're playing is crazy to me. Actually, no. I honestly. We're at a bar. We're at a bar. Like, let's drink and watch the game and hang out together.

[00:29:53] Well, it's interesting though, because as much as I love board games and I didn't realize it because of this thing about the chemistry that we could have seen. You what? Bundle game. If you will. That's a bundle game. The bundle game. Wingspan sucks. That game sucks. But bundle game. But if it was bundle, it would have been great synergy. Yeah. Like, come on. But the fact that they could have had a ton of chemistry where they're drinking their Guinness, they're watching the game, and then it comes out that that is correct. Yes. That would have been fun. That's good character development.

[00:30:23] Yeah. I was pretty disappointed by the sisters plot line in this episode. No, literally, they just have this guy just be like, man, you really can't miss a game, huh? Like, it's so weird. And then she's like, yeah, turns out my ex-boyfriend's on the team. Wingspan's a real game, guys. Sorry, Wingspan. It is an award-winning, medium-weight, car-driven, engine-building board game for one to five players. Oh, it's medium-weight. Like, you threw that out at a bar on a date with a woman you've known for five days? Nerd. You can't do that. You knew they paid.

[00:30:53] Wingspan paid to be in there. Yeah, and my thing is, is you've known her less than a week. You can't, unless she brings up how much she loves board games, you can't be leading with, so I've got this game called Wingspan. I got this game called Wingspan. Like, if you're at, like, my wife and I will occasionally go on a date at a place called the Community Tap, and they have a bunch of different drinks, and there's food trucks, but there's also all of these board games you can play. Okay, great. You've met this woman under a week.

[00:31:20] Like, how did you, Wingspan looks like it's pretty in-depth. Yeah, Wingspan's not a good one. Oh, it's not like you fell into a game of Uno, guys. This is, there are cards and bills and a bunch of different, and you are just like, why do you want to watch soccer? You always want to watch soccer. It was terrible. It was a really, really bad scene. Yeah. Yeah. Anything else, Shax? No. What are you waiting? What are you waiting? Well, thank you for asking.

[00:31:48] Both of mine involve the CEO, the $50 million donation. First, when they're in the meeting at her office, she does a thing where the meeting's over, and she just goes into her next meeting with the other people in the room while Martin and Knightley are still in the room, and she just does one of these numbers. It's like, that's crazy to just not even wait for the people that you just met with to leave

[00:32:18] the room before moving on to your other business. Yep. She's just got things to do. That's wild. Yeah. That's wild behavior there. And then I also love that when they're at the dinner at her house, what's her name? Chelsea stands up. She goes to leave. She's like, we're leaving. And then the billionaire goes, no, stay. And she goes, okay. And sits back down. Please sit back down.

[00:32:46] She gave in so easily to this. We are leaving. Please sit back down. Okay. It was not even like an emotional plea. It was just, please sit back down. Okay. Okay. I'm just glad. I did the thing. You called me out. We did it. We got it. Let's go. We all knew I wasn't leaving. We all knew that I wasn't leaving. Yeah. So, love that. Dana? You know? Yeah.

[00:33:11] So, there's an intro or a scene that's supposed to start in the middle of the dinner between the donor and Knightley and Martin and this one other guy who's there. And the way they decide, Hallmark has trouble with this. Starting a scene in the middle of a dinner. And it's like everyone should be laughing or everyone should be carrying on. In this scene, we have a French man laugh hysterically and say all three of the lines that I'm about to say, which is, that's a great story. I must tell you.

[00:33:41] You must hear it. Back to back to back. So, he doesn't say one of those three lines. He says all three of those lines. And it's like at some point, maybe we edit it to where he just says one of those. They're saying the same thing over and over again. So, they did three intros instead of one. I think while it does create romantic tension that Knightley, you know, Martin was Knightley's hero, so to speak. Yeah.

[00:34:07] I think it's crazy that we're supposed to, like, I didn't buy that is what I'm saying. Like, my way what was their rivals and he's clearly getting under her skin. And then we find out that he just, like, adores her as a human being. And it's like, that's romantic. I just didn't buy it. I didn't buy that being the tenor of him in the first two episodes. It's like, it's almost like Scott Michael Foster found that out in episode four with the rest of us. I didn't buy it. Maybe I'm wrong there.

[00:34:36] Oh, okay. So, I completely bought it. Okay. Here's why. Great. Here's why. I bought it because he, the way he felt about her originally, then he tried with this tender thing to ask her on a date. And then he was like, oh, this is how you want to play? I'll dance like this for a couple years, baby. Like, I think that it started to become the thing. And that's why he says like, oh, I like you mean. Yeah. No, I. Like, he started to get off on that king. I understand that.

[00:35:05] I just think that the, you would have seen more of that in the performance in episode one. Oh. Like, I don't think it, it, I don't think that they loaded that gun correctly is what I'm saying. Like, I buy it as like, if you want to do this as a plot device, I think it's great. But I didn't feel like watching that character in episode one that he knew that information. I think if you go back. Okay. And watch him. I'm happy to try again. Like, give her the coffee. I think you'll see that he's always been tender for her.

[00:35:34] Oh, the Dunkin' Donuts coffee? Yeah. The Dunkin' Coffee. And, guys, those fries look terrible. They look so bad. If you're going to close up a plate of French fries, they better look like the best French fries I've ever eaten. If not, just stay with the wide shot. Stay with the wide shot and let me imagine. As soon as you bring that second plate of fries and they're close up and they look like

[00:36:03] they have zero seasoning on them and they're not crispy at all, it's ruined. It's all ruined. Why did you do this? Do not give us a close up of the plate of fries and ruin this entire thing. I, you know, I hated it. I said it out loud when we saw the thing. I was like, those fries look terrible. Also, don't remind me Lacey Chabert is supposed to be from Boston. They did that in this episode and it's like, she's not even trying to be from Boston. Like, don't do that. Like, I just, just like, move on without that information.

[00:36:33] Yeah, exactly. The way he said Boston in his recap sounded more authentic than anything Lacey Chabert said. All movie about being from Boston. So, there's that. That's all I got. Okay, it's time for What the Hallmark is. We wonder what could have been. Maybe having us a clarity and a question we still have. What are we still wondering about? I'll start with you, Jax. Thank you, Bram. You're welcome. I want to know more about Jason Knightley and his three sisters.

[00:36:58] I do think that men who are raised with sisters, especially three sisters, are sensitive and empathetic and funny and wonderful. And look, I want to know about his entire family history. I'm so intrigued. I also want to know it seems like one sister might be sick, but there are two other sisters. What happened to his parents? We know they're not close. Are they still alive? I want a whole movie about the Knightley family.

[00:37:27] So, Jason Knightley went viral for a dance. We see the dance. It's fun, I guess. But then that dance somehow makes him a super duper wanted candidate for tech jobs. Like, what was that about?

[00:37:50] What was that whole, like, why did they give us that backstory as to, like, this guy did a dance. He's viral. We got to get him. We got to get him now. I'm going to give him a really good job as the donor person, your partner. He's not going to start entry level because we can't lose him. We can't lose him. Because he went viral. The viral TikTok dance guy. Because he went viral because of the dance. He has to be good at fundraising. We can't lose him. We can't. We can't lose him.

[00:38:17] We can't lose him to Google, who apparently also offered him a job. We can't lose him to Google. Google snags so many viral TikTok dancers. We can't lose another one. I don't know what the dancing has to do with any of it. So, maybe we'll figure that out. Maybe I missed something as to why the dancing video made him such a popular candidate at these companies. Dana? Yeah. Back to the Eiffel Tower for a moment. If they did film there.

[00:38:45] If they didn't film at the Eiffel Tower, congrats to the editor of this. They should be editing everything. They're amazing. If they did, how late at night did they film? Because there is a shot of the car pulling up to the Eiffel Tower and it's empty. And it looks pitch black. So, my guess is maybe really, and if we're being honest, those two up there in that scene up there, they do look a little tired. You can see it if you look. They look a little tired. How late?

[00:39:15] I would love to know the information on this shoot because I think they may have just done like a 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. Well, yeah, does the Eiffel Tower on a Wednesday? Does the Eiffel Tower close? It's gotta. You would think so. So, whatever the close, like whatever it's closed, they probably had to do the overnight would be my guess when it was closed. No, I'm looking it up. Can you get a 3 a.m. Eiffel Tower ticket? Yeah, Eiffel Tower closes to visitors late at night and its golden lights and sparkling displays

[00:39:42] turn off completely for a short time around 12.45 a.m. Oh, interesting. So, maybe they, you know, maybe they went and like had them keep the light on at from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. Yeah. And that makes sense on like a weeknight. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I would love to hear that story. I'd love to hear Scott Michael Foster or Lacey tell me that story and then I would love it if they did that or I would love it if they actually weren't there and they made it. They did such a good job.

[00:40:12] Apparently they did shoot there. They did. Those people in the chatter. Okay. So, then I need that story. I want one of those two fine folks to come on this program and tell me that story.
