BRAN’S PARIS IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA (SEASON 1 EPISODES 6) SYNOPSIS
Marcos hits on Chelsea's sister cuz why not. Chelsea is wrapping up her Knightly message but she wants it to be perfect. She's got 30 minutes til the ceremony.
We see a flashback of her with her mom before she passed away, talking about how to know you've met the one. Chelsea hears a crash in the kitchen and she goes to check on her dad who was really struggling with why it couldn't have been him who got sick. This is when Chelsea finds out that her mom knew she was sick before she went on the summer trip. She passed away 2 weeks later. Now Chelsea felt robbed of time. That's why she struggled so much afterwards.
She tells Knightly she wants to know if there's still a chance for them. She's thought about him every day for a year. One day, her sister calls her and tells her that she saw Knightly at a soccer game with another woman. Chelsea says he's moved on and that's what I wanted.
After the game, Knightly comes up to talk to little Martin. He awkwardly asks how Chelsea is and then is like jk I'm sure she's fine with the perfect job and perfect man.
The girls he's with turn out to be his sister.
Chelsea is talking to Marcos and she tells him that she thinks she's going to reach out to the ACC in hopes of being able to reconnect with Jason. He responds to the email very professionally but doesn't come to Spain for the meeting. He sends his boss. Chelsea is like if I knew it was you coming, I wouldn't have made you come. He's like oh yeah cuz you're in love with Knightly. She's like how did you know that?! Classic boss stuff.
It's time for her family to show up for the wedding.
It's bachelorette party time, complete with karaoke. Her sister pushes Chelsea to sing something which she finally does - Since U Been Gone.
This causes her to have a mini breakdown. She's so not moving on!!! She isn't okay on her own. She's not happy. And it's too late.
That night, Chelsea finds her dad watching his first wedding on his laptop. He's nervous. Chelsea gives him a pep talk. Chelsea then stays up to watch that wedding video and her mom's vows get Chelsea thinking - she has found her person she wants to tell all her secrets to.
So the next day, she starts recording these messages. She sends the message after the wedding but then hears the ding of a text. Knightly is right behind her! He's like you just sent me a pitch or something? She's like yes…the pitch of why we should be together. He says I have a pitch for you too and he kisses her. They go to the reception and all dance together. Marcos comes to dance with little Martin. Knightly asks Chelsea where they're gonna live and she's like we can figure it out with spreadsheets later. Tonight, we just love each other and they kiss some more.

[00:00:04] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast Hi, I'm Bran, I love Hallmark Parish shows Hi, I'm Jax, and I like Hallmark Parish shows I'm Dan and I despise Hallmark Parish shows And this is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast Deck The Hallmark, it's this podcast Friends host this podcast
[00:00:30] We hope you like this jolly podcast Well, well, well, hello everybody It's great to be here We're gonna be here, I'll take the Hallmark Absolutely, talking Paris is always a good idea We're here, per usual, with Jax, Jax How are ya? How's everything looking in your neck of the woods? Bonjour
[00:00:59] I do love that the same time that I realized Bran was locked into the voices Also when Dan realized it too It was like, it went from like, it was just that one little tip over Where you're like, oh, this is a thing There's a few off ramps whenever you do a voice to start the show And when you miss the first couple Then it gets a little murky It gets a little like It gets a little murky indeed You don't know, like the off ramps no longer are like paved You know, you've gotta find them through the woods You've gotta find them
[00:01:28] There's a couple of easy ones You laugh off early But if you just speed right past those That's true As Bran has wanted to do That's true Then he forges his own path as he does I feel that so deeply because Bran, I relate to that And usually my brain and my mouth have already made the decision to keep going No, my mouth has made the decision to keep going before my brain caught up Your brain realizes uh oh So then all of a sudden you're in the middle of it But you're like, I don't have a choice Like Dan said, there's no off ramps That's right
[00:01:55] On my tombstone if I have one of those It's just gonna say it got away from him It got away from us That's all it's gonna say It's fair That just, I think it sums it up It's great to be here today For those of you that are listening in real time Happy September to you Happy September to you Who is not listening in real time Thank you for asking This show is almost definitely going to air on Hallmark Channel at some point And we will re-release these episodes And when they listen, they'll be listening in real time
[00:02:23] In real time, but not real time to us For those of you listening on the date that we released the episode Originally Originally Yes I felt like it was clear what I meant Like right now there are a few people listening in real time Everybody's real time is different Not Sheila, because Sheila's getting an oil change Hi, Sheila Shout out Sheila The 7.45 or 8 a.m. oil change, man She's lying to me This place is open early She's lying to you She's lying to you
[00:02:52] She's outside your door What a weird lie What a weird time to lie Sheila, as honest as anyone I know Is like, I can't let Jax down here I'm getting an oil change They Jeffy Lube open at 7.30 a.m. just for me And it's a two hour oil change Don't talk to me I believe it is I believe it is I believe it is Now Jax, have you been watching this program with anybody? um, so I've been
[00:03:20] I've watched four episodes Just Me And then Alex was Watched the first and the last Wow His reactions have been Very funny What does he think of the show? Because he's not a Hallmark watcher No, but he does have a crush on Lacey Like I got him a cameo Oh wow That's so fair That's so fair So is she Okay, can I just Him and Scott and Amon No, Alex's crush is very different than Scott's
[00:03:50] Scott's crush makes me feel uncomfortable and I'm not partnered to Scott And Alex's just kind of feels like safe Scott, you know I'm kidding, I know you're happily married, I'm just teasing you Love you Scott Scotty Scott, Scotty Um He knows that he's not allowed to talk about Lacey Chabert He's not allowed to talk about Lacey Chabert That's his one rule Like he can't He's not allowed to talk about You come to Greenville That's actually funny because he still does Right, but not on the air Not on the air And not in front of publicly
[00:04:20] Okay Yeah Anyway, so you got a cameo for Alex For Alex And I want to say this is like Lacey Chabert I don't know her that well personally But every time I met her she's so kind So kind Everyone the best And she did this cameo She was raising money for an organization So I was like, oh, this is great I want to support this organization anyway And I'll get Alex a cameo and it'll be fun and cute And she spent the whole cameo in the best way
[00:04:47] Being like kind of embarrassed that she was doing a cameo for like my partner She was like, hey, Alex Jack's got this for you She's in a tough spot And she's been most of it being like And we know that Jack's is awesome And I was just like, this is just such an incredible She is like the most genuine incredible person Which we'll get into more in this Because nobody listens like Lacey Chabert
[00:05:14] But yes, Alex was The last episode was a bit of a wild ride But at the end he was like That's good I can imagine though If you only watched The first and last episode Of Paris is always a good idea You would have a very different impression Of the show Because it plays like a Homer movie
[00:05:40] Like it plays like a pretty standard Hallmark movie Here's the thing You're not wrong As far as like actual story But the acting And I think the acting in Hallmark movies is good Like I've always said this and I mean it But everything is a little bit next Yeah, they put some money behind this And you don't The misunderstanding of it all Is actually in episode five So it's not apples to apples
[00:06:09] But if I just popped in for the first and last episode I mean this with no disrespect to anyone I would have a much lower opinion of this show Yes If I just saw the first and last episode I would be like Oh, it's basically like a one tick up Hallmark movie Like and that's You know Are your wives watching this with you? No Because you're getting all romantic and French No They don't My wife doesn't want to watch a Hallmark anything God love her No No, no, no No
[00:06:39] I could have watched this last night Instead I decided to watch The Town for the first time Which I really enjoyed You've not seen The Town I've not seen The Town I watched The Town for the first time And then But what that meant was I had to wake up early and watch it today So I woke up at 5.30 to watch this show What was the choice I made? It was a choice you made No, and I love that For you, yeah You know, like 5.30 is always when I want to Engage with Gay Perry Oh, I was locked in
[00:07:07] We're Talking Paris is always a good idea Episode 6 It's called Nightly Revisited And it originally aired on the Hallmark Plus On August 27th, 2026 Or in real time Whenever it airs on the Hallmark channel In real time In real time Whenever you saw it Whenever you saw it is when it aired And it went a little something like this Marcos hits on Chelsea's sister Because why not? I think he just really likes the genes Yeah, just keeping the family
[00:07:37] Dad's already spoken for Mom's dead Chelsea is wrapping up her nightly message But she wants it to be perfect She's got 30 minutes left until the ceremony We see a flashback of her with her mom Before she passed away Talking about how You know that you've met the one Chelsea heads Oh, here's a crash in the kitchen And she goes in to check on her dad Who is really struggling With everything that's going on
[00:08:06] And why it couldn't have been him That got sick This is when Chelsea finds out That her mom actually knew that she was sick Before she went on that summer trip Chelsea's mom ends up passing away Two weeks later And now, because She could have been with her mom She feels like she was robbed of time with her And that's why she struggled so much afterwards She tells Knightley that she wants to know If there's still a chance for them She's thought about him every day for a year
[00:08:35] One day, her sister calls her And tells her that she saw Knightley At a soccer game with another woman Chelsea says that It's good, he's moved on And that's what I wanted After the game, Knightley comes up To talk to Lil' Martin And he awkwardly asks how Chelsea is And then is like, JK I'm sure she's great And she's having a great time With her new job And a perfect man Okay, I'm out of here The girl that picks him up in the car Is actually just his older sister
[00:09:03] Chelsea is talking to Marcos And she tells him that She thinks that she's going to Reach out to the ACC In hopes of being able to reconnect with Jason And also, of course, give the organization some money He responds to the email very professionally But doesn't end up coming to Spain for the meeting Instead, he sends his boss Chelsea's like, if I knew it was you I wouldn't have made you come I would have just sent you the money And he's like, oh yeah, because you're in love with Knightley And she's like, how'd you know that?
[00:09:33] Classic boss stuff, am I right, Dan? Classic boss stuff It's time for her family to start showing up for the wedding It's the bachelorette party time Complete with karaoke Her sister pushes Chelsea to sing something Which she finally does Since you've been gone This causes her to have a mini breakdown She's like, I'm so not moving on No, Kelly Clarkson is going to be disappointed in her So not moving on She isn't okay on her own She's not happy
[00:10:03] And she feels like it's too late She finds her dad watching his first wedding On his laptop He's nervous And Chelsea gives him a pep talk About how you've learned so much over your life And blah, blah, blah Chelsea then stays up to watch that wedding video And her mom's vows gets Chelsea thinking She's found her person That she wants to tell all of her secrets to
[00:10:31] So the next day she starts recording these messages That we've come to know and love, I guess And she sends the message after the wedding But then, right when she clicks send She hears the ding of a text Turns out Knightley is right behind her He's like, did you just send me a pitch or something? And she's like, yes The pitch of why we should be together He's like, well, I have a pitch of my own as well And he kisses her They go to the reception And they all dance
[00:11:00] And Marcos comes to dance with Lil' Martin So I guess that's gonna be a thing Knightley asks Chelsea where they're gonna live And she's like, we'll figure it out later with spreadsheets Tonight, we're just gonna love each other And kiss some more and dance And that, my friends, was Paris is always a good idea Episode 6 Nightly Revisited You got it I knew it Alright, let's take a break We'll come back
[00:11:28] We'll break this episode down with the four segments here, Ron Deck the hallmark We're back The finale of this here program It is time for us to share our thoughts We're gonna start with a hot take So we're gonna share exactly how we felt about this episode In the series at large I'll start with you, Jax Jax, thoughts? Well, I just need to say
[00:11:57] Que belle femme pour est toi Laissez Chabert est parfait Laissez Chabert est parfait Laissez Chabert est perfect, I heard that I heard that for sure And the beginning is supposed to be What a beautiful ending to the story Oh, oui, oui Look, I do I will say this episode More than any other Um, has a few Wait what's for me Yes Right I'm glad I didn't come in here It was just me
[00:12:27] Holy cow No, and I will say We'll get to it in that segment But there's wait what's That are things that like Story wise, sure And there's things that I was like Wait a minute Yeah Like actually wait what? Yeah So yes, all that being said Um, man Laissez Chabert is such a good actor She really, really is And I know that you guys were As was I Very impressed with the emotional journey That she took us on in In the previous episodes Um, but
[00:12:56] One of the hardest parts about acting That I think a lot of people Um, aren't very good at And isn't taught as much as like Really listening to a fellow actor And I felt like she was not showing She was listening She was not like doing what looked good on camera Like I believed it was I mean it looked great on camera But She was fully present like for her fellow actors At least when they were doing her coverage So that's all
[00:13:25] That's all that I care about Um, so Really, really Great work by Lacey And look this is fun Like we ended up That the right people were together Do I wish that they were together more During this episode? Of course But there was lots of fun things That happened during this episode I'm happy with the ending And it got quite a few chuckles As well as Deep crying from me Deep crying Yeah
[00:13:56] Wow The Barbara Niven scene Was that it? Absolutely Of course And as you guys know Because I'm sure you're tracking my cycle by now I am in the luteal phase So anything Bran and I were talking beforehand We have it marked up We placed bets actually It's right off camera We have a calendar Dan thought it was in a few days I said no, no, no I was gonna say I know that Brann is Brann's the one that knows I'm out of touch It's not that you're out of touch He's getting there He's getting there He'll get there soon I
[00:14:26] I felt like this episode More than any of the other ones Floundered a bit I I kind of just want I wanted them to either get together Earlier in the episode Or Wait until the end And just end with the kiss Because I felt like He shows up They kiss And then the rest of it Just didn't Have the spark that I was hoping for it to And so I That was where I was at on it I kind of Wasn't sure
[00:14:56] If I agreed with how they Did this final episode But Of course they got together Of course the kisses are wonderful And I'm not upset about that I'm intrigued by The prospect of Lil Martin and Marcos Really threw that at us Randomly And Yeah An okay finale To a really solid Hallmark Channel show Dano? Yeah I would say The reason that this episode Is disappointing
[00:15:26] Is not because Qualitatively It's like Terrible It's because Everything that preceded it Was better This has one outstanding Really go for the feels moment In the Barbara Niven speech That I'm sure we'll talk about later It also has a soundtrack That absolutely slaps They spent a lot of money On this soundtrack From the Kelly Oki To the end song There's a lot here That's really great From a soundtrack perspective But As a
[00:15:55] Fitting conclusion Of the story Just okay Not Great Which is unfortunate I like There's They kind of play In the middle Like Bran was alluding to With You know How they unpack How they get back together And what's said to whom And why How or why That it matters And I think At the end of the day If you love these characters It doesn't And they're together And they kissed And that's all that really matters
[00:16:24] And we've seen far less From Hallmark movies So we're nitpicking a bit here But also Did seem like a weird time To chuck Ship a new relationship With us And a possible spinoff They end this With a possible spinoff Yeah Tease Which I thought Was really weird For all of the Sparks and heat Of Of Scott Michael Foster And Lacey Chabert Of the first five episodes It felt a bit anticlimactic here To have this happen
[00:16:54] Kind of in the middle Of the episode Why did we have All the hemming and hawing Of Knightley being A what might have been When this is a pitch For him to be Like I don't know It just didn't really In my opinion Stick to landing And I hate that Because I think There are four episodes Of this television program That are as good as anything Hallmark's ever done Bookended by Fairly generic Hallmark So yeah I think Lacey's still amazing I think that the setting And the vineyard
[00:17:24] And all of that Was still really great I think the Barbara Niven Speech is really excellent But as a fitting conclusion To a pretty deep Emotional journey I thought it was just okay At best So yeah It's time for the feels That's where we talk about What in this episode Gave us feels Let's start with you Jax Yeah I mean the Barbara Niven Yeah come on I kept wondering Like why is she in this show And then I was like Oh there it is Yeah it's for this moment Where she gets to honor
[00:17:54] Their late mother And her husband Alex's late wife In a Just a beautiful speech That wasn't saccharine It was just like That is how That is really how People should be remembered When they're no longer here And you're joining The family that They were once a part of In this earthly realm So I just was so moved Yeah And I also just thought
[00:18:23] They didn't do anything weird Like they didn't have What I see in her sister Be like Thanks mom Yeah Yeah Yeah Or something Painful I think all that You know Like I've not been in that situation But all that you would assume The kids want is For their mom to be remembered Yeah You know what I mean And like be respected as someone Who is incredibly integral To their life And what better way Than how Barbara Niven did it Yeah It's her day At the end of the day It's her day It's her day
[00:18:52] And for her to do that And the way she did it Just perfect And look there are lots of I'm sure there are lots of Beautiful stories like this But there's lots of horror stories Where the person is weird And doesn't want the person mentioned And it's like There's lots of things Yeah Yeah Not you know Be a Barbara Niven Just be a Barbara Niven Well and I also thought Like this The little speech That Lacey gave to her dad The night before Was really nice too Like this idea Yeah Of like Why am I nervous Like this time Like what And this idea of like
[00:19:22] You know now Like how much Like loss hurts And so Choosing to then Put yourself potentially Up for that type of loss again That I mean that's a scary thing And you're Yeah So I thought it was really Really nice Yeah And I thought that That moment with Her and her dad Not only Because She is encouraging In that way In this like Very human Bra moment But then she gets To learn more About
[00:19:51] Her mom And her dad And their relationship That she didn't know before So I thought that was Lovely I was a little bit like Uh oh That he was watching The wedding video The night before Yeah that's tough You can think it Oh yeah Lord knows I would be Um but yeah He's just He's drunk Yeah he's just Oh she's so pretty Yeah Right Yeah That's tough And she really went Full 80s with it Which I loved Yeah Um I would say The other Moments for me I mean
[00:20:21] Really This show I I think I just Have such an affection For it After many Excellent Excellent episodes Um when Lacey talks about Loving someone enough To break your Own heart For them Whoa Yeah Okay Like got me in the In the fields Fields In the fields You got me in the fields That's a different Can I tell you Why I said that Please Because I was thinking about
[00:20:50] How Cheryl Strayed Who wrote Wild Yeah wild Which is out They're out She's out in fields And in the wild She's out in the fields That's right She is credited with the quote Be brave enough to break your own heart Oh Okay that makes sense So she's credited with that I don't know if she's the perfect Yeah you got there then Yeah So I got So I was feeling it in the fields And the fields In the fields The fields In the fields You got it In the fields Um And look I There is something About Lacey Chabert And Scott Michael
[00:21:20] And Scott Michael Foster Together I just think That they are just such Incredible actors Who have a really natural chemistry They really see each other Like they're just really good listeners I I'm so glad That they got together And even though this didn't bring the heat That other episodes did for me I still thought it was a very fitting sweet ending When they're dancing at the end And they're like We're gonna figure this out What if they kiss at the end And they're like Actually It's a no The spark stone Not for me
[00:21:49] It was just I was more in love with the memory Than I am with you Huh Oh my word Oh Brandon Alright well best of luck Wow Best of luck It'd be devastating What up dudes Best of luck to you and yours That's an A24 Hallmark production right there Right exactly Yeah Um Listen You guys know that I love karaoke There's two things we all know We all know Jax's Cycle And we all know that I love karaoke And uh This karaoke scene Come on Worked for me They call it Kellyoke Which I love
[00:22:19] Even the little joke about I should have sang My life will suck without you Or whatever It all worked And I thought Lacey did really well too I thought it was like I didn't know if Lacey could sing And it was a nice performance And She was Cosette on In Les Mis on Broadway Oh Were you kidding me now I did not know that No And I It was But it was also like The type of karaoke Where it's like not Like the most amazing Like it was like You could tell she was also Yeah Nervous No no It was good Yeah
[00:22:48] It was great You guys are exactly right I actually commented on that out loud During it Because I thought it was great It wasn't bad at all It was just tentative And it's like Oh you're good Yeah Yeah yeah yeah So I really love that scene Dana Yeah so When Lacey Obviously your two Were probably my top two But three for me was When Lacey's like The reason that my mom Kept things from me Is because she had already She found her person To share her secrets with Amazing Amazing Like writing And line of dialogue
[00:23:18] Like This comes out tomorrow Yes Yeah So this is my 20th wedding anniversary Today Right now Congratulations to me Yeah I know 20th wedding anniversary Wait are you serious? Yeah dead serious I'm gonna spend the day He wanted to take the day off I'm gonna spend the day in Columbia Talking with public radio people It's so romantic But There is a different You know There is an undying Unconditional love That you have For your kids And that you have For your spouse And they're very different Right They're very different Types of love And
[00:23:47] That is the best way To describe it Right Is when you find Your forever partner What that means Is Just as important Just as immeasurable Just as undying As how you feel For your kids But different And I thought That her realizing I was my My mom's daughter She had found her person I wasn't her person I was her daughter That was really Really A really great A much better Than usual Hallmark way Of explaining things A normal Hallmark movie
[00:24:17] Would have her be like Why didn't you Tell me earlier And then the mom Would have to explain Why she didn't And And Lacey Just processing And figuring that out Was amazing Like really really cool So good on you Hallmark Can I Just to echo That exactly what you said And in all the The beautiful ways of that And also just from like You know Her sister's a therapist From a therapeutic perspective It really shows us That Lacey's parents Did not Or Martin's parents Didn't parentify them That's right And tell them everything
[00:24:46] And just make it And I thought that That was something That it's It's beautiful It's romantic It shows about The different kinds Of the love And it's also like Oh it sounds like You had a really Healthy Yeah Parenting environment Yeah Yeah You tell me all your stuff Which gives me feels I do tell you You are You're also My person You guys are Ben and Matt We all know that And we all know Who's who Affleck and Damon And we all know Who's who That's accurate Yeah
[00:25:15] Brand do you not know Who's who You know who's who Brand The only thing You don't have of me Is a picture of me Dropping coffee Who was Wait so am I Affleck No I can't Are you being serious Or funny I don't know the difference Between those two gentlemen Oh I Actually I love I love that about you What's weird is Is that I like Affleck Actually is younger And Damon is older That would be the only way In which I actually didn't realize
[00:25:44] Affleck does present As the older one But definitely The more brash one And the more like Interesting though I would I would Kind of think That you're more Damon Because Damon's very Like I got Like he's got all of his Ducks in a row You're right And Affleck's kind of Actually Now that we're thinking About this Jax Aside from personality I think I'm Probably more Matt Damon Here's the thing Let's just be really clear And I mean this As the biggest compliment Neither one of you Are either of them Like
[00:26:13] Thank you Bless Bless Ben Affleck He's got serious Like Relationship issues Yeah And substance abuse That like I send him the best That's true We do We send him the best We send him the best And he needs that from us He needs that He does need that from us But energetically Energetically The energy You are Affleck Dan Yes Correct And of course You are Matt Damon That's right I would agree with that From an energy perspective Yes He's really good in the town
[00:26:43] I can give my late My late review of the town He's really good in this Thank you for coming on board To end with Jolene The song Not Dolly Parton Jolene Different Jolene Great choice Oh you just You just watched this yesterday Maybe that's why The Damon's coming off of you I will say though For their relationship history You guys are both You guys are both Damons He met his wife Behind a bar And they've been together Yeah Damon is probably more Who we both are But from a How their Their relationship With each other works Makes you wonder Like what the heck
[00:27:13] I'm actually Damon He's Affleck What the heck What does Damon See in Affleck It makes you wonder Also that actually Yeah that's what Yeah that is true But also Affleck is the one Who's more Creatively out of the box And multi-talented That is Bran Right And Damon does one thing Right And he sticks in that lane That's probably more me But Damon is a little bit Older than Affleck So actually from a How our relationship works I'm probably more Damon We're learning a lot here Well I was thinking that too And I was like
[00:27:42] But ultimately What it is Is what Like they love each other So much Except they would go On a boys trip Did we We've been on boys trips Did we just Like invent a new Type of Therapy It's like the The Affleck Damon Method You gotta talk through Who is who I actually think That this could be Really helpful I think so Let's Yeah We gotta figure out A way to make money Off of this thing Alright let's take a break
[00:28:11] We'll come back Let's take a break We'll come back We'll talk about The Wait What's And the What the Hallmark's Here on Back to Hallmark Hi everybody Welcome back It's time to talk about The Wait What's What in this episode Dan There's plenty Television made us go Wait What I'll start with you Jax you mentioned At the beginning of the show More Wait What's In this episode Yes I'm gonna start with
[00:28:41] The One thing I don't know what It doesn't even matter How hard you try You try Keep this In mind Yeah You got it Is that right Yeah Woo How is that even In the vault It's just up there Somehow That's right Who does that song That's the Lincoln It's Lincoln Park Yeah Yeah None of us are proud of it Rest in peace obviously Oh are they passed The leaders The good ones And that's
[00:29:12] That's different Than Limp Bizkit Different Way different Than Limp Bizkit Yeah You Now Jax I know You're 32 One's a biscuit One's a park You sound about 62 Right now Lincoln Is a Lincoln Park Different than a Limp Bizkit A Lincoln Biscuit And a Limp Park Which is it I don't know Because that's When you're so young And fresh That's right You're not worried About it So you can sound Like an elderly person That's true You didn't grow up With that music Who did it all For the nookie That's what I want to know Who was that band Wait who did do it That was Limp Bizkit
[00:29:41] That was Limp Bizkit That's right Or was that Kid Rock That was Limp Bizkit But that is a much more direct Kid Rock is more of the Wah to the bah Wah to the bah Bang to bang Diggy diggy We're not promoting him No not at all Or Limp Bizkit For that matter Although Fred Durst Fred Durst seems like a fun guy Fred Durst is eminently cool Than Kid Rock Yeah Yeah for sure Oh yeah Yeah This is also a new type Of therapy Yeah I don't know who this is for And we can't make money on it But it's here
[00:30:10] Are you more Kid Rock Or more Fred Durst All of us are more Fred Durst We gotta move Fred Durst How dare you How dare you God bless this everyone So these are genuine These are genuine questions That I'm asking Okay One of my wait what's Is the younger version Of her younger sister In the flashback In the first Quick little flashback Played by a different actor I don't know Oh that's a good question
[00:30:39] It was incredibly weird And Alex was watching This one with me And I said wait That literally looks Like a different person He's like that's not The same person So it's Then in the second Quick little flashback It's just the back Of her head And it's like Braided hair Which is fine I wouldn't have noticed that But the first one Does not look like The little sister at all It doesn't I agree with you That leads me to A little bit of a Sidebar question But it is related What's the age difference Between the Martin sisters No I think this is also
[00:31:09] Something to be discussed What is it What do you guys Think it is I Here's I thought it was Like 10 years I thought 10 years Here's the thing You guys are probably right And that makes more sense For some reason In my head I had it As Lacey was Six When she was born I don't know why But I think you're right I think it's like 10 10 years makes more sense So I mean Marcos is just He's just playing Like he Well we don't know How old We don't know how old Marcos is I'm not here to judge Either
[00:31:38] I'm just saying Marcos is like Alright well We'll step it down A generation The problem with that Marcos could be Like halfway in between The two guys Or he could be I guess With his gray beard Here's the thing Yes Fran Because I do I do think that he was Around Lacey's contemporary Like when they met And obviously Still now But the problem is He looks So much older than Lacey He does He looks older than Lacey With her younger sister That not only
[00:32:07] Say she's 10 years younger Say she's Whatever she is Has a very Youthful Cute Angelic Little precious face And he's so masculine That it feels A little jarring Oh guys Was Marcos Dubbed over In one of the scenes Yes No it was a real bad take Marcos says something And it is not Match up at all Real bad And I was I'm watching it
[00:32:37] And I had had one of my Early Birds You know CBD gummies And I was like Wait a minute Is the brand Early Birds It is the brand Early Birds Or did you take it at like 4pm With like an early dinner Why did you call it Early Birds No I went Oh no it's Early Bird Oh it is Okay alright good That's the name of it Yeah And we can get them The sponsor of the podcast There was also a THC soda I believe Oh Oh I'll reach out to Early Bird guys Just see Just see Early Bird CBD You know And I was like
[00:33:06] Did I accidentally Take a psychedelic Or something Like what is happening Because I was Sure he was dubbed But I was like This is so weird Of course he's not dubbed And then Alex was like That's so weird Is he like dubbed Or something So yes That was That happened It's so weird Was he dubbed Or something Or is Alex here In the room I know Oh my god I do a really good Alex It's crazy Actually your Accent is quite good I've been working on it Kathy in the chat
[00:33:36] Alex has been giving me tips It's good Yeah Kathy in the chat Says that Little Martin Was a teenager When their mom passed And Lacey was in her Gap year So that would make Them a lot closer So five or six years Probably Five or six years Yes And I think What I'm trying to circle Without saying it I guess I'll just say it Is that I'm not sure About the younger sister As a character anymore Like I don't feel I think she's a good actor But I feel like She was there To just
[00:34:06] Kind of have Whatever plot They needed her to have And I also agree With Jax That I feel like There was a part of her That could have been A very different character That would have been More interesting But what they have here Is the potential For a season two With a very similar arc You got the guy Who now plays soccer That she has On Resolve Things Correct The billionaire The billionaire The guy from Ireland And the Irish pub Like she wasn't in the right So they could do The same thing But like
[00:34:35] I just feel like And Marcos I just feel like Kid Sister Where Lacey was Kind of a de facto mom Would have been A better version Her having some More soccer ties Would have been Maybe a better version Her maybe being More queer represented Would have been A better version I just feel like They never really Thank you Thank you for saying more Because the soccer Is enough to keep us You know I'm not here to comment There is some There is some
[00:35:05] Brand You got to stop talking You got to stop talking Yeah I just I feel like They never really Like established Her character at all And I don't I think you just said it Really well Dan Thank you It was Just period No it was Anything they needed her Any stray They needed her to catch That's exactly right Yeah And again Great actress Great actress A little strange But she My lord That girl made it work
[00:35:34] Like she was like She probably got Got the scripts And was like Cool Let's rock and roll Yeah what am I doing This week Awesome Here we go Yeah exactly Exactly And my final One is that Okay When they are at The Eiffel Tower Yeah And the back It looked like He was kissing And I know It's just her coat But it was also The angle of her face It looked like He was kissing Catherine Zeta-Jones And I went back And watched it Like six times Because this was
[00:36:04] After the The dubbing This was after The whole Little Martin Not being the same Actors I didn't think So we rewound it Several times And We were like That does not look Like Lacey Chabert It was But like There was just I felt like Maybe she wasn't Available Catherine Zeta-Jones Shout out Is nuts here I like I love I love it But like Lacey wasn't available And Catherine Was walking by And they were like Catherine Zeta-Jones Who I'm sure Still looks amazing
[00:36:33] Is probably 20 years older Than Lacey I would say I mean Yeah Oh yeah At least Oh yeah I had a huge crush On Catherine Zeta-Jones When I was younger Huge crush Pictures Pictures in your locker No No That was Sandy B only Reserve for Sandy B Have you not heard This story at all We don't have We don't have We don't have Time I'll put it In a slot At the marathon Please do I always want To hear that story Catherine Zeta-Jones In Zorro
[00:37:03] With Antonio Vendores I saw Zorro And then I was like Who is this I just remember Being like Oh my goodness Who is this Who is this That's right That's exactly What I thought I was in an acting Class two years ago With her daughter Oh yeah Karis And I will say I mean Talk about Her name's Karis No She's Karis And she's doing A show coming up Karis is always Karis is always Sorry I'm sorry You just stepped All over that joke Unbelievable No no no He made the joke
[00:37:33] You got there first Brand No I'm on second Who's on third Who's We're having fun Aren't we We always are though We should put that On a t-shirt It got away from him It got away from him It got away from him It got away from him It got away from him Any other Wait What's Jax The only other One is The Yeah The whatever's Going on with Margos I think they're just Gonna like Hook up And it's gonna be Like her older man Thing I mean
[00:38:02] Could that guy Care any less About which Martin he ends up With I've never seen Someone pivot So quickly I guess it has Been a year But as soon as She shows up You didn't know Me in college How about this What about this From one From one sibling To another though Jax That quickly Okay Alright I stand corrected Not one sibling To another But we were all Working in an amusement Park together And I was dating This guy Jeff
[00:38:32] And my friend Katie Was dating his friend And then my friend Katie And I Broke up with them And Started Having a Deeper friendship Great What's fun Is if They If Let's just say They hook up And then If you were a billionaire And you went from Lacey To her sister That would actually Make sense to me Oh this one plays soccer Oh yeah Did you say soccer
[00:39:02] If he If they like Hook up And he's like You know what I want to get married To you And they get married The Martin sisters Would have 100% control Over his money That's right Wait Yes True I mean come on But then it turns into A bitter rivalry Between the two And what they do With the money Here we go Yeah cause Little Martin Went to open A big soccer clinic And then Little Martin Is murdered Oh Who did it All signs Point to Chelsea Yeah but it's Really nightly And he was like
[00:39:31] You're done Little Martin Yeah I have a few Wait what's One There is a few There's like a montage Where they're showing A few scenes And one of them Chelsea is laying On the floor In her office Underneath her desk With her laptop And I just want To remind everybody That her office Is entirely windows Literally everyone In this office
[00:40:00] Can see this Basically like Executive Laying on the floor Under her desk And I think you should Be able to do What you want to But also People are gonna Start talking People are gonna Start talking People are gonna Start talking That's right Did she see Chelsea I don't think She's doing I don't think She's doing okay I gotta be honest I was underwhelmed By two million dollars Annually Thank you Underwhelmed I can't believe It took us This long to get here And he Part of it
[00:40:29] Is the boss Shows up And he says A donation Of this amount Of money I had to come To even get To the amount Of money That they got From that woman In Paris Oh you mean Fifty million It's gonna be Twenty five years And he didn't Come for that He didn't come For that This guy's over Here being like Well it's a big Donation So I You know I had to show up Guys This Two million dollars Annually Last episode
[00:40:59] We are established That Lacey Chabert Is in control Of giving away Forty eight Billion Billion Billion Dollars With a B Forty eight Billion What she gives Her former Nonprofit Is a slap In the face She just got Fifty million From some woman In France That doesn't have Forty eight billion Dollars This is absurd Yeah And he flew over there And he can't afford
[00:41:29] To keep personnel Bill I got questions Like Yeah Like That was so terrible So terrible Two million dollars Annually I mean she said Two million annually Two million annually Yeah That's like She's like We don't want to We don't want to Find the cure for cancer Too quick We want to really Stretch us out Over time Like just We could just Do She's probably Like and also What Where are they giving The other money I don't know
[00:41:59] It's It is Soak It's one Out of Forty eight thousand Million That he has He has Forty eight thousand Million dollars That's how that operates Forty eight billion dollars Here's two million Annually So now she has Thirty nine thousand Nine hundred and ninety Eight Million Dollars What What Billion Billion right Forty eight billion But I'm talking If we did thousands Of million Oh yes Yes She took two
[00:42:29] Of the Forty eight Thousands Of million dollars Yeah Like it's nothing She's Truly His job Her job is to give it away Her job is to give it away I literally I can't Like I can't Her mom died of cancer What are we doing here With forty eight billion dollars You could Find the cure for cancer God And solve world hunger And then be done with it Like that would Great job So crazy I could Yeah that's also That's also true Also the
[00:42:57] Annual of it Why wouldn't it be like We're giving you a lump sum Now of this And we're guaranteeing At least as much a year Yeah Like Fifty million should have been The starting line One hundred percent Plus two million dollars Annual We did four episodes Out of six With Knightley and Martin Trying to reel in The big fish Of fifty million dollars What did they get for that Fired That's what they got for that They reeled in the biggest Donation of all time And then
[00:43:27] Lacey gets a job With someone who has Exponentially more money And he cannot give A twenty-fifth of that I I just I like Guys That is an easy fix In the writing room Hundred million dollars Yeah And to be honest with you guys I forgot That the donation I knew I knew it was low For somebody Terrible I forgot That the donation That they secured Was for fifty million dollars That means And I'm so good at math That it's gonna take Twenty-five years To even reach What that woman's donation was
[00:43:57] This is crazy And he had to pretend To be happy about it Yeah I just I And then that In twenty-five years Two million is gonna be Worth so much less So it is Yeah It's just And gosh I hope we've cured cancer In twenty-five years Gosh If they're still giving Twenty-five Two million a year And they could've given A billion They could've easily Let's just do the thing They could've easily Given billions Forty-eight What if Hey Hey Marcos I know that you've Entrusted me with this And this is personal to me My mom did die of cancer I spent my life Raising money for cancer
[00:44:27] What if we gave A tenth of the money A tenth Of the money To cancer research In the organization That I know Is gonna do right With that money That's five Almost five billion dollars Gang Five billion You gave two million That's nothing That's Like Guys When we do our marathon Whatever charity We're going for I'm gonna be talking To the billionaires Out there The billionaires Should not be giving me A hundred dollars Right Like you should be Giving way more than that It's crazy Wow
[00:44:57] That's all I got Dana Yeah So I'm glad we covered that That was the big one Another financially related one Lacey is sitting there And Marcos comes in the room And she goes Marcos You are charging us Pennies for the venue I'm sorry He's charging you He's charging you money Oh I know For your parents To get married here I'm sorry What? The billionaire Is charging you money For your parents
[00:45:25] To fly across the globe To get married In his vineyard Why? Why is he charging you Any pennies? Any at all? I What? What? Yeah I think also Dan with that I think it's clear That They might not know Like Most of us Know what a billion dollars is Yeah I Like I just Like it's not The only sacrifice for him
[00:45:54] That he would even feel Is if someone Famous Not about the money But famous That he wanted to have And wanted to book that weekend And that was the sacrifice he made But the money of it Is like not at all When you have that much money It is like a non-entity Yeah Yeah I just It doesn't even register And I Like There's so many ways To break this down But it just feels like People don't You know The best one is Is a million seconds Is eleven and a half days A billion seconds Is thirty one point seven years Right So like
[00:46:25] That's That's what Yeah A million seconds Is eleven and a half days Not even two weeks Of your time If you spent a million If time is money We only have a limited amount of time And you spent a million seconds Devoted to something You would spend under two weeks If you spent a billion seconds You would spend The most Of the majority of your adult life Thirty two years That is So Like The idea That a billion There's over three hundred million people In the United States There's under a thousand billionaires In the United States There's no Like All the money is tied up
[00:46:54] With so few people That we have to like Reckon with this On so many levels Especially Hallmark on TV Who earlier in this show Told us Billionaires are immoral Like If you did that If you did the hard part Of saying it out loud Why not follow through On a Right Yeah Go ahead Right They No no Just they said that They did say the hard part out loud And we got so excited And I think You know While we're still mourning And we'll be forever
[00:47:22] The death of Dolly Parton You know She wasn't a billionaire No because she gave so much money away Yeah Every time And it's that easy Every time I hear about good In air quotes Good billionaires And I'm like Oh they seem like good people And they're trying to give away I always think of somebody Like Dolly Parton Who is like No no You can always Double and triple down It didn't matter in Tennessee Every Like It did not matter who you voted for If you liked her It did not matter You were getting books in the mail That's I mean like
[00:47:53] I just Come on You can do it I promise You can be benevolent enough You can You can open up your wallet And let some air breathe Speaking of financial Things that aren't about billionaires But on a much smaller level That we can more relate to Sure We find out last episode That Knightley's little sister Needs 10k for soccer club Right And Knightley immediately is like You know I don't need to play Fantasy football this year Here's all my savings Here's $10,000 Really cool And we're like Man what a sacrifice In this episode we find out
[00:48:21] That there's another sister Yeah Who drives a very fancy Leather appointed SUV And I'm not saying that means You have money But could she not pitch in At all I mean To throw another sister at us Who is clearly doing pretty well For herself Kind of a slap in the face For everything you tried to Try to make us feel The previous episode Right Especially also Not just a slap in the face But given what they're Showcasing her as Not just with the car
[00:48:50] But her general demeanor And that she's the oldest And the big sister As an oldest daughter You're not going to let that happen If you have the resources Which it looks like she does And can you imagine There's a financial crisis Between three siblings And the middle child Being like I've got it all Who's the boy A middle child Who's the boy Yeah Is going to do it Not saying that Men aren't very capable But still The odds there are crazy It seems like this older sister
[00:49:20] Doesn't care at all And then lastly I know this seems basic But this was a very big deal to me And it really bothered me This episode decided To just go for all the feels And not really care about plot How In six episodes Do we not get A scene Where Knightley Understands And hears That Martin Left her job So that he could Keep his How? How do we not get it? How does the
[00:49:49] The leading man Not understand What was done for him And why it was done for him And how he had nothing To do with it? How? How? That is absolutely Unequivocally Unacceptable I Guys Have him listen to it Have him just hear the end of it And react to it Have him Something What are we doing? That's important How do we not get
[00:50:18] Did that not bother anybody else? Oh I thought it was wild Yeah I thought it was wild Yeah That was terrible We needed that For sure Yeah That's all I got Especially because It's like He's the person Apparently that you're Supposed to have Always share all your Secrets with Because they don't Share any In that message He has the message On his phone So I guess he will Hear it at some point But like A big part of Building trust Early in a relationship With someone you think You're in love with
[00:50:46] Are these things And the fact that We don't get Him The reaction Or the The fallout Or the You know I just couldn't believe it For a show that really Has done a Did a great job For five episodes On like Empathy and real emotions Yeah And how circumstances Alter cases It was crazy to leave that On the table for me I couldn't believe it I also did get a little bit Of a kick out of Like she's Clearly putting a lot of Thought into this Message And laying it all out there
[00:51:16] It's only 14 minutes long The messages That's pretty impressive That was wild She had a script We're spending a whole Six episodes It's a 14 minute message No but here's the thing I actually related to that Because that is how I leave voice notes Oh I've received your Voice notes before Jax I know Yeah But that's not even I send ones that are long But also I've Gotten ones that were Literally 18 minutes Yeah So You worked through it It's believable to me Yeah
[00:51:45] Alright let's get to What the hallmark Questions we still have That we'd like some Answers to Jax My biggest question is Dan Where's the Red Sox hat Oh my goodness Forgot all about it You're right I I am owed I have to wear a Red Sox hat He was nowhere to be found Man You should We just dropped the ball We'll get to it I'll wear it I'm a man of my word I'll wear it Okay And what's crazy is In 45 minutes
[00:52:14] Not only that We don't see the photographer Who is there Yeah Yeah he's only He is there Yeah he's one fleeting moment This episode didn't continue The threads of a lot of things I thought it would continue It just It didn't need to It was a vibe Yeah It was just there for the vibe I was wrong You're right Brandon I'll tell I can get you the cool The heated rivalry one Did you see that hat Yesterday Jax I bet you Brian It says I'm going to the cottage But instead of the cottage It says Fenway Fenway Yeah Wait that's actually really cool I know it's very cool
[00:52:44] I can I bet you Brian can just let me borrow He's got to have a Red Sox hat He's got to I don't know he doesn't do hats Because of his tiny head Because of his head He doesn't make them his size He's got a tiny head You gotta see him in a hat on It's the only way he looks bad You know what I mean Like it is hysterical His head is as small as my head is big That's right That's accurate I'm surprised you have a big head Oh it's ginormous That's hilarious Jax You keeping your eyes steady there As you said that As good a performance As you've ever given
[00:53:13] Give her the webby The podcasty I don't know what it is Hilarious Hilarious That you tried to pull that off Without me calling it out That's what I'm angling for Yeah I find it surprising That you have a big head Hilarious It's not It's ginormous Because I have a big head In any other room that I'm in Aside from Brent My head is 60% of my body It's ginormous It's like a baby Babies have big heads In their bodies That's right It works for you Brent I'm like a big baby That's right I'm as cute as a baby
[00:53:45] I want to know Okay She Believes That he is with another Woman Is seeing another woman That's right We never get that either We never get that But She still chose to record This message Yeah Shooting her shot Believing that he Is with another woman She still said You know what To hell with the devil I am Well I mean he kind of Does the same
[00:54:14] Not exactly But like he She's like Definitely going on dates With other men Early in this show And he shoots his shot Sure Yeah Yeah yeah yeah But you're right It is weird that she hears That news and decides This is the time to send Yeah but And none of those though Did he believe that she's Actively That's right In a relationship I like I don't know I found that to be fascinating Did the conversation ever come up Like when When he shows up And like And they are going to kiss You would think that She'd be like
[00:54:43] Hey just to make sure Is it over between you And the person at the soccer match And you would be like Oh this is my sister And then it's good to go Yeah they didn't get that either None of it How about that Crazy Dana I may have missed this In the flashbacks In the talk with the dad But this Series Starts with Them Going on a scavenger hunt And then having to stop Her Stopping her gap year Because her mom died And then the whole family Going back to Paris
[00:55:12] To complete the scavenger hunt And then abandoning it A second time While people pop and lock In the background Right That's right Do we ever finish That scavenger hunt Do we ever finish All the envelopes In the beginning Like they stop For a second time Or do we just decide The journey was the friends We made along the way And everyone got What they needed And we don't need To do that anymore Wait a minute Did we I don't remember Same Brent and I both Don't remember
[00:55:41] It was crazy To watch this show Load so many guns And not shoot any of them At the end And you know what We'd be better for Like If less people Shot the guns Amen But like To talk about A scavenger hunt And to not complete it To have this thing Where Lacey Basically says You need to Keep Knightley And I'll quit And to not ever Like That it's his sister Not a girlfriend Like to not ever Deal with those things Is so un-hallmark It's crazy It's true
[00:56:11] Sometimes in real life Though you just Don't want to know The answer Yeah I think I mean You could make an argument That it's better That it's symbolically done And we don't actually Have to see it But we're watching Hallmark We're not watching An award winner We're watching Hallmark And so there's an anticipation That we get You know These things That kind of culminate In fruition Like In Ted Lasso In season three He leaves Richmond And you never get a scene Where he talks to his players And he tells them That he's leaving
[00:56:40] You never get that scene And as a coach That drove me nuts Because that's the most Important thing that you do You tell your players Before you tell anyone else That you're leaving Aside from maybe Your immediate family And it bothered me But For a picture of the show And what's important And how kindness Is important It's fine That they didn't do that scene This is Hallmark Like I expect us To tie these Bows up On screen I'm actually surprised I know it's not Ted Lasso podcast From right at the end But I'm surprised They didn't give that scene It seems like
[00:57:10] That would be like The Emmy We present for your Consideration That's right Yeah Him telling them He's not coming back I mean you get to see Everyone's Jamie Tartt Rojas Like all these You know All these people's Reaction to the news I think would have been great If they didn't do it Rena says she thinks They did open all the envelopes So if that's the case Then I said correct Very good It felt like it stopped abruptly Well we did it everybody Congratulations to us We're done with this show But we're not done with you Jax Jax you're gonna be back soon With another Hallmark My Words A lot to get to I have to
[00:57:39] Well Lori Loughlin's Instagram Is back up and running She's back A mini A mini Hallmark My Words right now Yeah How about that And then they're following up Lori Loughlin's movie With a rowing movie The next week It's a true story So there's gonna be It's a boat movie For real? There's gonna be commercials During her movie Garage Sale Mystery And then the next week For a boat race movie The following week You guys That's awesome I think they're laughing about it Yeah And good on them Good on them I agree Good on them
