[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_05]: She loves chocolate and she hates work.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_05]: And all she really wants is some time with her mom.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_05]: But it's a busy time of year for the royals.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_05]: At least they'll always have their festive bake.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, it's a festive bake.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Except they don't have that.

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Mom is too busy.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_05]: When the goat gets off the leash and picks the smallest tree, the town is mad.

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And her mom is left with no choice.

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Send Princess Violet to rich people boot camp.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Cut to Colorado.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_05]: You gotta.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Where we meet Ryan and Squibby.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Best of bake all the time in Colorado.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, man.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_04]: It's legal there.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Hi, AF.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_02]: For a long time.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_05]: For a long time.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_05]: They're in charge and have their hands full with this crew.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_05]: We got a K-pop star.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_05]: We got an NFL player.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_05]: We got a crypto bro.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_05]: And, of course, a princess.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_05]: They all walk into a bar.

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_05]: It is pretty serious stuff.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_05]: They run.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_05]: They read.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_05]: They bake.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_05]: All of your normal boot camp stuff.

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And Violet is having a tough time with all of it.

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_05]: She doesn't run.

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_05]: She doesn't know how to read.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_05]: And she can't bake.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_05]: But she does know how to be sneaky.

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Instead of doing the hard work of moving the Christmas trees like Ryan had asked,

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_05]: she sneaks out her phone and calls in some movers.

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_05]: But Captain Ryan is too smart and figures out that they didn't do the hard work at all.

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_05]: He's fed up.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And she's like, you know what?

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm just going to leave.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_05]: And as she's walking down the street, she comes across a car on the side of the road.

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_05]: It's at this point that we find out that she knows sign language and helps this guy get his car moving.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Captain Ryan.

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure we're never going to see him again, though.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_05]: He's not a part of those.

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Captain Ryan sees this and tells her that he's impressed and believes that she can finish his program if she works hard.

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Princess Violet agrees to return, but only if he lets her decorate for Christmas.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a fair trade.

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Ryan and Violet continue to bond, and she finds herself actually enjoying the hard work of the program

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_05]: and enjoying Captain Ryan's company as well.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_05]: But she has a boyfriend that I forgot about who actually ends up showing up to rescue her,

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_05]: but she says, I don't need to be rescued.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not a prince.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I am a prince, but this princess doesn't need to be rescued is what you need to know.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_05]: After telling Scotty, the boyfriend, to kick rocks,

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_05]: I would never tell my Scotty to kick rocks.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Christmas morning podcast.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_05]: who's excited to see that he has a girlfriend crawling around on the floor in the background.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_05]: She loves it.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Private Ryan, I'm sorry, Captain Ryan acknowledges that...

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Say Private Ryan later.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Captain Ryan acknowledges that it would be against company policy for her to be,

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_05]: for he to be, him to...

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_05]: They can't date.

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_05]: After he hangs up, they go to talk by the fire and they share stories about people that they've lost.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_05]: They're having an absolute blast together, as you can imagine, singing Christmas songs to the elderly.

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_05]: What could go wrong now?

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, when Captain Ryan discovers that not only does Violet have a secret phone,

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_05]: but that she also accidentally broke his special bench,

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_05]: he kicks her right on out of the program one day before graduation.

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Violet's mom, who's already shown up for graduation, is very mad.

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_05]: And Violet says,

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think you're mad at me.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's clear that you're still grieving the loss of Daddy King.

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_05]: The next day, Violet is walking into the town square and finds out that there's a woman in the town whose kitchen isn't working.

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_05]: She convinces the rest of the cadets, I guess that's what we'll call them, to make dinner for her.

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Before I start now.

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_05]: So they all get together and they start to bake.

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_05]: But where is Violet?

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_05]: She's fixing the bench with the random guy that she saved in the car.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Where'd he come from?

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Where's he going?

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a chance that he's Codden Eye Joe.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_05]: They throw a party and Violet shows up in full princess garb.

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Ryan says that he's passing everybody, including Princess Violet.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Violet and Ryan go to sit on the bench together and she asks for permission to kiss.

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_05]: And that moment was Private Princess Christmas.
