Olivia, a little girl, writes a letter to Santa asking him to reveal who her one true love will be. They go to sleep and wake up the next morning to find Santa has brought her a dollhouse. Stupid Santa. She thinks, "I'm sure Santa will give me a name soon—how long could it really take?"
Fast forward 25 years: Olivia is now a hotshot dealmaker who always rates her Uber driver with stars and hands money to the Santa ringing a bell on the street. She works as a designer for sets at Style Home Network. As she's preparing for an upcoming shoot, Olivia gets called into her boss's office. They're interested in having her on camera! She's pumped—this is what she's worked for. But her excitement is quickly extinguished when she finds out Chris Davis is directing the special. Chris directs a show called Model Home, which Olivia thinks is tacky.
She’s unsure how to feel, so she hops into her Uber and vents to the driver, Rodney, about how she thinks Chris is the worst possible choice. Rodney encourages her to give Chris a chance. Olivia asks, "How did you know his last name?" and then realizes, to her surprise, that Rodney isn’t really Rodney—it's Chris Davis in disguise.
Chris explains that the network bought Olivia's childhood home for the remodel, and it’s going to be the feature of the special. Olivia protests that the house needs too much work for a one-episode show—it should be a full season. But Chris doesn’t budge, even when he almost falls through the wall.
Olivia invites her sister Darcy over for some inspiration, and while they’re there, they hear a strange ringing in the walls. Olivia reaches inside a vent and finds a letter addressed to her. To her shock, it’s the letter she wrote to Santa all those years ago. She opens it, and a mysterious rhyme reveals her one true love's name: Nick. Olivia scoffs and throws the letter in the trash, but the next morning, it reappears in her possession. She throws it away again.
Then, Olivia has not one, but three rom-com-worthy meet-cutes. She has an encounter with a Nick A in a coffee shop after a coffee swap, spills her coffee on a Nick B, and narrowly avoids getting hit by a truck thanks to a Nick C, who rescues her. And the letter keeps showing up!
Olivia gets all three Nicks’ numbers and decides, "When life gives you three Nicks, you go on three dates." But will she even have time? She’s got a meeting with Chris at the house. The meeting doesn’t exactly go well.
Her date with Nick A is next. He’s rented out an entire ice rink for just the two of them. They have a great time—until she accidentally pops a bottle of champagne cork right into his eye. Their romantic evening ends with a trip to the hospital, but they laugh it off.
Back on set, Olivia and Chris’s relationship is still tense, but there's some undeniable flirty energy. Then, Olivia and Darcy visit a custom woodworking shop for potential show inspiration—and it turns out Nick B owns the shop. The pair head to a Christmas festival, where Olivia accidentally hits Nick B in the head with a snowball during a competition with Chris. He jokes, "Guess I'm a knock-out," but it’s hard to ignore the growing tension between Olivia and Nick B.
Olivia’s date with Nick C is a disaster. He’s a firefighter who’s posing for a calendar, and after a cookie incident that triggers his nut allergy, he ends up in the hospital. Womp womp.
Olivia is starting to freak out—what is she supposed to do? That’s when the letter in her purse changes again. This time, it says she must choose the right Nick by midnight on Christmas Eve. Darcy encourages her to date all three Nicks as much as possible before then.
Cue the dating montage.
While at her childhood home, Olivia finds Christmas decorations she thought were lost forever, bringing back fond memories. Chris stops by and suggests using some of her old sketches as inspiration for the remodel, which could save money on the set design. Olivia begins to warm to Chris, especially when he implements ideas from her sketches in the dining room.
On a date with Nick C (still everyone’s least favorite), Olivia is inspired to put a giant bow on the house. Oddly, Chris agrees with the idea. He shows her the dining room, where he’s incorporated her childhood designs.
Olivia starts to soften toward Chris. He’s actually pretty great, and they both want the same thing. But just as things start to look promising, Nick B arrives with a handmade reindeer. They talk about where to go on their date, but Olivia feels a disconnect with him.
Then, she shows up at Chris’s house to decorate his tree, but when he invites her in, she insists she’s got plans. They try hugging twice, but it doesn’t quite happen, so they settle for a fist bump. Olivia giggles and walks away.
On her date with Nick A, they’re under the mistletoe. He leans in for a kiss to take her mind off work, and sparks fly.
The next day at work, Olivia and Chris watch the final cut of their pre-recorded segment. To celebrate, Chris surprises her with a winter wonderland set up at the network's prop warehouse. There’s even a snow machine. It’s magical. They walk out of the set and give money to a British Santa ringing a bell. Just as they almost kiss, Olivia gets a text, snapping her back to reality.
As Christmas Eve approaches, Olivia is faced with the tough decision of choosing which Nick to pursue. The letter changes one final time, and the time has come to pick.
It’s Christmas Eve, and Olivia is preparing for the live broadcast. All three Nicks show up to surprise her. Just as she’s about to go live, the three of them realize they’re all dating the same woman and end up in a ridiculous inflatable candy cane fight in the background of the broadcast. Olivia runs out to stop them, but they demand she choose. She can’t pick, so all three leave, and Chris storms off angrily.
The special is a flop—or so Olivia thinks. Surprisingly, social media loves her and the Nicks, and the special goes viral. Olivia gets offered her own show!
Olivia realizes that Chris is her Christmas dream man, but she’s going to have to stop him before his train leaves at midnight. Her sister locks her keys in the car, so they take a one-horse open sleigh to the station.
Chris is at the train station when Olivia arrives, just as the train is about to leave. He’s talking to a British Santa in street clothes, and the two chat briefly. Chris goes to board the train but finds a letter instead of his ticket. The letter tells him getting on the train would be the biggest mistake of his life.
Olivia arrives just as the train departs. But Chris isn’t on the train. He’s holding the letter that told him to stay. They apologize for how things went and admit they’ve both fallen for each other. Just as they’re about to kiss, the intercom announces a Nick Davis is needed. Olivia asks, “Wait, your name is Nick?” Chris explains, “Yeah, but I’ve gone by my middle name since I was a kid.” The clock strikes midnight, snow begins to fall, and they kiss—a big one.
And just like that, Jack is alive. Olivia says, “This was worth waiting for,” and they kiss some more.

[00:00:00] Hi, I'm Bram and I love Hallmark Christmas movies. I'm Bram and I didn't hear... I'm not Bram. I'm not Bram at all. I'm not Bram. I said I'm Bram. Of the things to get wrong, your name is fascinating. It's a choice. I'm Bram. This is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast. Deck The Hallmark, it's his podcast.
[00:00:28] It took you too long to catch that.
[00:00:30] Brendan and Friends host this podcast.
[00:00:35] We hope you like this jolly podcast.
[00:00:39] He was the backup, but now he's a canonic.
[00:00:43] He's still explaining.
[00:00:44] Yeah, well good, thank God for explaining.
[00:00:46] You wanna explain yourself?
[00:00:48] So, I clearly...
[00:00:50] Bram, I was on autopilot and I started thinking about...
[00:00:54] Your autopilot is to use my name?
[00:00:56] To be Bram.
[00:00:57] Where else are you doing this?
[00:00:58] No, my brain was normally on autopilot during the intro and then I started thinking about how I was mad I didn't hear Ariana Grande in this song.
[00:01:08] And I was like, this is something that Bram should be mad about, not me.
[00:01:12] And then at the last minute, my brain was like, put it in the intro.
[00:01:15] And so I decided to try to put it in the intro and it came out.
[00:01:19] I'm Bram.
[00:01:20] I'm not Bram, but that's what it sounded like.
[00:01:23] If this is your first episode, par for the course.
[00:01:26] I'm Bram.
[00:01:26] Wouldn't you like to be me though?
[00:01:28] I'm Dan for everyone confused.
[00:01:28] Would you like to be sticky like his candy cane?
[00:01:30] What do you think it's like to be in my head?
[00:01:34] I mean, about as confusing as that intro?
[00:01:36] Do you think you would enjoy it or not?
[00:01:38] Oh, man.
[00:01:39] I mean, do I have a knowledge of it or am I just you and don't know that I'm here?
[00:01:43] You wake up one day and we've sister swapped.
[00:01:46] No, that's not that.
[00:01:47] We've got family swapped.
[00:01:48] We sister acted.
[00:01:52] We've parent trapped.
[00:01:53] Parent trapped.
[00:01:54] There it is.
[00:01:54] We have parent trapped?
[00:01:55] No.
[00:01:56] Perfect Strangers.
[00:01:56] What's the one where Lindsay Lohan is?
[00:01:59] Change up.
[00:01:59] Freaky Friday.
[00:02:00] 13 Forever 13.
[00:02:00] Freaky Friday.
[00:02:01] Freaky Friday.
[00:02:02] Yeah.
[00:02:03] So I know that I'm supposed to be, my brain is in your body.
[00:02:07] I'm not having your thoughts.
[00:02:08] I'm just you.
[00:02:09] Dang it.
[00:02:10] Yeah, it's not my body.
[00:02:11] I'm just probably like, why am I craving sugar all the time?
[00:02:14] Yeah.
[00:02:15] Why do I need another?
[00:02:16] I need something sweet.
[00:02:18] Yeah.
[00:02:19] You wake up and somehow you are both simultaneously.
[00:02:23] Freaky Friday, but also in the brain.
[00:02:25] It's a brain freaky Friday.
[00:02:25] But you're also still aware of who you are.
[00:02:28] Yes, you have.
[00:02:29] Yes.
[00:02:30] Yeah.
[00:02:30] You remember.
[00:02:31] I probably am just like pushing yours off to the side.
[00:02:35] Do you want to tell people, Dan, about how you out-matched the room the other day on a
[00:02:40] phone call?
[00:02:42] And you were like, I don't even remember what you said.
[00:02:45] We were like, I guess that wasn't what they were wanting for it.
[00:02:47] I was like, that's not what most people are wanting.
[00:02:49] I, it's hard to explain that without getting into a little bit of the weeds, but the short
[00:02:53] version is, is Brandon and I are thinking about purchasing something and we're talking
[00:02:58] about offers on how much, and I'm talking with the person that's negotiating that for
[00:03:03] us.
[00:03:03] And I just decided like to explain, I did it in a text and she called me and she was like,
[00:03:08] Hey, the text was confusing.
[00:03:10] So I explained all the different permutations of the sliding scale of our offer.
[00:03:14] Like we could do this, but this, or we could do this, but this and any combination in between.
[00:03:19] And then he went into the combination.
[00:03:21] And I went into all the numbers with brand.
[00:03:22] We're at the movie theater with our kids out in the lobby out there about to see best
[00:03:27] Christmas pageant ever.
[00:03:28] And we're just going through it.
[00:03:29] And he was like, looking at me.
[00:03:30] I was like, yeah, she pretty much hung up.
[00:03:32] She was like, just like, uh, okay, got it.
[00:03:34] Like, I'm just going to.
[00:03:35] So it was tough.
[00:03:36] It was tough out there.
[00:03:37] It's just always good to know.
[00:03:38] It's not just me.
[00:03:39] Yeah.
[00:03:39] The eyes glaze over and whatnot.
[00:03:41] Um, uh, Hey everybody.
[00:03:43] Welcome.
[00:03:44] Uh, hopefully you're doing well today.
[00:03:46] Uh, another, another Tuesday here in the old, uh, studios here in Greenville, South Carolina.
[00:03:52] It's great to be here in Greenville.
[00:03:53] And I gotta be honest with you.
[00:03:54] The weekend fall for Greenville brand.
[00:03:57] I, uh, it's a fall for Greenville is a lot.
[00:04:00] And I will say, uh, there's so many people downtown this weekend that I, I'm not going
[00:04:06] to say I'm happy it's over, but I am a little bit happy.
[00:04:08] It's over.
[00:04:08] I'm happy that it happened.
[00:04:10] I enjoyed going.
[00:04:11] Did you get down there and go?
[00:04:13] Uh, I skirted.
[00:04:14] I, uh, I went and it was a blast, but I was coming from West Greenville and I parked in
[00:04:23] the Richardson street garage.
[00:04:26] And so getting back to my house on the other side of main street took a half hour.
[00:04:30] So on Friday, early evening, it took me a half hour to get from Richardson street garage
[00:04:36] to my house, which normally takes like five minutes.
[00:04:38] That's so time for you to like contemplate and think and relax.
[00:04:42] That's how I do it.
[00:04:43] Aaron, you worked down there this weekend.
[00:04:44] Is that right?
[00:04:45] Yes, I did.
[00:04:46] Would you, what'd you, what was your big take away?
[00:04:48] You were a man in the DTH tent?
[00:04:50] DTH tent.
[00:04:51] Yeah.
[00:04:51] What was your thought?
[00:04:52] Fall for Greenville?
[00:04:52] I was just down there live podcasting the whole weekend.
[00:04:55] Was that your first fall for Greenville or did you go last year?
[00:04:57] No, I went last year.
[00:04:58] Okay.
[00:04:58] Yeah.
[00:04:58] But this is your first time working it.
[00:05:00] Yeah.
[00:05:00] I thought I would be a good citizen of Greenville and donate some of my time.
[00:05:04] Oh, you didn't get paid?
[00:05:05] No, it's a volunteer situation.
[00:05:07] Oh my God.
[00:05:08] Oh, you weren't at, you weren't doing cook station stuff?
[00:05:10] No, I volunteered for the city of Greenville.
[00:05:12] Can I ask a question?
[00:05:13] When you said good citizen, I was like, I didn't know cook station had a thing down there,
[00:05:16] but she's getting paid at least.
[00:05:17] You were a city of Greenville booth attendant?
[00:05:21] Why?
[00:05:21] I worked the wine garden.
[00:05:23] That's why.
[00:05:24] And you didn't get tips or anything?
[00:05:25] I mean, I got 10 free tickets.
[00:05:28] Oh, so two drinks.
[00:05:30] Cool.
[00:05:30] To go hang out.
[00:05:31] But wow.
[00:05:32] Maybe some chicken wings.
[00:05:33] Why did you do that?
[00:05:34] I wanted to be a good citizen.
[00:05:36] Oh, wow.
[00:05:37] I thought like when they put up the call for volunteers, I thought.
[00:05:40] You hear that?
[00:05:41] I want to be a dedicated, like I like living here.
[00:05:44] I thought I did.
[00:05:44] I mean, before you.
[00:05:45] No, before you applaud.
[00:05:46] Like I regret it.
[00:05:48] I don't think I'll do it again.
[00:05:50] Sunday, it was low 50s and pouring rain the whole time.
[00:05:54] Lousy.
[00:05:54] It's tough.
[00:05:55] It's a tough one.
[00:05:55] So I was trying.
[00:05:56] I was selling.
[00:05:57] You have to buy the $1 wristband to drink downtown.
[00:06:01] So I was trying to put the wristband on people.
[00:06:03] And I was just, I was an icicle and I was shaking.
[00:06:06] And I was just like every person was like, I'm so sorry.
[00:06:09] I'm doing my best.
[00:06:10] But look at you.
[00:06:11] And Greenville is full of errands.
[00:06:13] Greenville is full of people that are just like,
[00:06:15] helpful and whatnot.
[00:06:17] It's amazing.
[00:06:18] Well, thanks for your service.
[00:06:20] Full of regret.
[00:06:21] I mean, I loved it on Saturday.
[00:06:22] I worked two days.
[00:06:24] I did one shift.
[00:06:25] Oh, you worked both days.
[00:06:25] Yeah.
[00:06:25] I just thought I'd be a good person.
[00:06:28] Huge heart.
[00:06:28] Man.
[00:06:29] So I had a lot of fun when the weather was nice on Saturday.
[00:06:31] I got to talk to a lot of people.
[00:06:33] I got to rep.
[00:06:34] There's a new canned cocktail called Picnic Brunch.
[00:06:37] They have mimosas, bellinis, and Bloody Marys.
[00:06:39] They're delicious.
[00:06:45] Did you wear any DTH merch down there?
[00:06:47] Or is this just purely just for the good of the game?
[00:06:49] I had to wear a volunteer shirt.
[00:06:52] You did tell people about the podcast, though.
[00:06:54] Oh, yeah.
[00:06:55] I did.
[00:06:55] I told a lot of people about the podcast.
[00:06:57] Yeah.
[00:06:57] They were like, a lot of men were like, oh, my wife loves Hallmark.
[00:07:01] I'll have to tell her.
[00:07:01] And I was like, yeah, go for it.
[00:07:02] It's a great time.
[00:07:03] That's right.
[00:07:04] But you can listen to men out there.
[00:07:06] Absolutely.
[00:07:06] You don't have to suppress it.
[00:07:09] No.
[00:07:09] We are.
[00:07:10] Just be who you are.
[00:07:10] That's exactly right.
[00:07:11] Just like Dan is over here.
[00:07:12] That's right.
[00:07:13] I'm praying today.
[00:07:14] That's exactly right.
[00:07:14] You're just being who you are.
[00:07:16] Speaking of not suppressing it anymore, guys, I know there's a lot of people out there that
[00:07:20] have been like, we keep hearing you talk about the Christmas movie magic.
[00:07:23] But is it really that much fun?
[00:07:25] Is it really worth buying?
[00:07:26] When you're undefeated, it is.
[00:07:28] It absolutely is.
[00:07:29] And it is absolutely worth getting.
[00:07:31] And you can get it right now.
[00:07:33] And I think you should have it.
[00:07:35] Yeah, for sure you should have it by the business of Thanksgiving week and all that stuff.
[00:07:39] It would be a great game to have maybe a copy or two of if you are having people join you
[00:07:45] for Thanksgiving.
[00:07:46] Oh, it would be perfect.
[00:07:46] And part of your Thanksgiving celebration is watching some of these movies.
[00:07:51] This would be perfect.
[00:07:52] Christmas movie magic.
[00:07:53] It's available right now.
[00:07:54] We would love for you to get it.
[00:07:55] Dykthehomeart.com slash game.
[00:07:58] Game.
[00:07:59] Game.
[00:07:59] Game.
[00:08:00] And while we're talking about Thanksgiving week, it's also the perfect time to get
[00:08:03] Philo.
[00:08:04] Philo.tv slash DTH.
[00:08:06] Yeah.
[00:08:07] Because there's so many movies coming out.
[00:08:09] We were literally just talking about how crazy it is.
[00:08:13] And then with the Hallmark Plus of it all, it's like, who has time for all of that?
[00:08:17] Well, no one does.
[00:08:18] And that's why Philo exists.
[00:08:20] You can throw all the movies on your DVR, unlimited DVR over on Philo, and watch them whenever
[00:08:26] you want to.
[00:08:27] You don't have to watch them live.
[00:08:29] You can just throw it on the old DVR and watch it, because it's not going to go away.
[00:08:33] The movie's going to stay there.
[00:08:34] It's going to stay in your DVR, so you don't have to worry about that and the space.
[00:08:37] None of that.
[00:08:39] How about that?
[00:08:39] Join us.
[00:08:40] And then you can watch our show, too.
[00:08:41] Yeah.
[00:08:41] I mean, come on.
[00:08:42] Exclusive.
[00:08:43] It's a win-win.
[00:08:44] To follow exclusive.
[00:08:46] All right.
[00:08:46] I think we've done what we should do to start the show.
[00:08:51] Call for Greenville and volunteering.
[00:08:54] Now it's time to talk about Santa Tell Me.
[00:08:58] Do you have anything that you want to say, Dan?
[00:09:00] Any thoughts on the title of this movie?
[00:09:02] I can't believe we didn't hear any Ariana Grande.
[00:09:05] And I think the fact that I'm the only one upset about this is crazy.
[00:09:10] I didn't think that we would just financially speak.
[00:09:13] Yeah.
[00:09:14] I don't never expect that.
[00:09:16] They stay away from titles like this unless they're going to play you the song.
[00:09:20] Like, Where Are You Christmas?
[00:09:22] The song was in there.
[00:09:24] Like, if you do that for a song from the last 20 years, you would expect that we hear it.
[00:09:31] Maybe it's a cover.
[00:09:31] Maybe it's not Ariana.
[00:09:33] Maybe it's a cover.
[00:09:35] But really expected to hear the song.
[00:09:37] We didn't have even a different version of it in there?
[00:09:40] No.
[00:09:40] I don't remember.
[00:09:41] Not anywhere near it.
[00:09:41] So what's the title matter?
[00:09:43] How does this title relate to this movie?
[00:09:44] The title sucks if you don't play the song.
[00:09:46] Didn't you make this connection, actually?
[00:09:48] It's a bad title.
[00:09:49] You're mad.
[00:09:50] You're mad.
[00:09:50] Now I think I'm upset.
[00:09:51] I'm furious.
[00:09:52] This is ridiculous.
[00:09:54] Why would they do that?
[00:09:56] Just be better.
[00:09:58] Santa Tell Me originally aired on the Hallmark Channel November 9th, 2024, and it wouldn't
[00:10:02] know something like this.
[00:10:03] Olivia is...
[00:10:04] On the third nick of Christmas.
[00:10:05] Oh, hey-oh.
[00:10:06] There's Brian.
[00:10:07] Hey, it's Brian, everybody.
[00:10:08] Middle chair.
[00:10:09] There he is.
[00:10:10] Filo.tv slash DTH.
[00:10:12] We regret Aaron volunteering.
[00:10:14] That's right.
[00:10:15] This is what happens.
[00:10:16] She goes to work for City of Greenville.
[00:10:18] No.
[00:10:19] No.
[00:10:19] What is that?
[00:10:20] I'm not going to let Aaron take the blame for this.
[00:10:23] I'm going to blame my child for this, who did fart around here the other day.
[00:10:29] Olivia, who's a little girl, writes...
[00:10:31] And probably messed up the camera.
[00:10:33] Olivia, a little girl...
[00:10:34] Fascinating to see what these other two are going to look like.
[00:10:36] ...writes a letter to Santa asking him to reveal who her one true love will be.
[00:10:43] They go...
[00:10:43] Oh, Santa.
[00:10:44] Yes.
[00:10:45] Santa, tell me who my love's going to be.
[00:10:47] Sure.
[00:10:47] They go to sleep and wake up the next morning to find that Santa brought her a dollhouse.
[00:10:53] Stupid Santa.
[00:10:54] She thinks, I'm sure Santa will give me a name soon.
[00:10:57] How long could it really take, you know?
[00:10:59] Fast forward 25 years, and Olivia is now a hotshot dealmaker who always rates her Uber drivers with stars out loud.
[00:11:09] And hands money to Santa, ringing a bell on the street.
[00:11:12] She works as a designer for sets at the Style Home Network.
[00:11:17] As she's preparing for an upcoming shoot, Olivia gets called to her boss's office.
[00:11:21] They're interested in having her on camera.
[00:11:24] She's pumped.
[00:11:25] This is what she's worked for her entire career.
[00:11:27] But her excitement is quickly extinguished when she finds out that Chris Davis is directing the special.
[00:11:36] Ugh, Chris Davis.
[00:11:37] Chris directs a show called Model Home, which Olivia thinks is tacky.
[00:11:41] She's unsure how to feel, so she hops into her Uber and vents to the driver, Rodney, about how she thinks Chris is the worst possible choice.
[00:11:52] Rodney encourages her to give Chris a chance.
[00:11:55] Olivia asks, well, how did you know is, give this Chris Davis a chance?
[00:12:01] And he's like, well, how did you know what his last name was?
[00:12:04] And then realizes, to her surprise, that Rodney isn't Rodney.
[00:12:08] Rodney is Chris Davis.
[00:12:09] Just driving.
[00:12:11] Chris Davis is Nick Davis.
[00:12:12] It's a whole thing.
[00:12:14] Chris explains that the network bought Olivia's childhood home for the remodel.
[00:12:20] And it's going to be the feature of the special.
[00:12:23] Olivia protests that the house needs too much work for a one-episode show.
[00:12:28] It should be a full season.
[00:12:29] But Chris doesn't budge, even when he almost falls through a wall.
[00:12:34] Olivia invites her sister Darcy over for some inspiration.
[00:12:37] And while they're there, they hear a strange ringing, a ringing of the bell in the walls.
[00:12:43] Olivia reaches inside of a vent and finds a letter addressed to her, to her shock.
[00:12:50] It's the letter that she wrote to Santa all those years ago.
[00:12:53] She opens it up, and inside of that is a mysterious rhyme that reveals itself and says that her one true love's name is Nick.
[00:13:04] There you go.
[00:13:04] Olivia scoffs at first and throws the letter in the trash.
[00:13:07] But the next morning, it appears in her possession.
[00:13:11] She throws it away again.
[00:13:14] Then Olivia has not one but three rom-com-worthy meet cubes.
[00:13:19] She has an encounter with Nick A in a coffee shop after a little coffee swap.
[00:13:24] Spills that coffee on Nick B.
[00:13:26] And then narrowly avoids getting hit by a truck thanks to Nick C, who rescues her.
[00:13:32] And the letter keeps showing up.
[00:13:35] Olivia gets all three Nick's numbers and decides when life gives you three Nicks, you go on three dates.
[00:13:42] But will she even have the time?
[00:13:46] She goes to a meeting with Chris at the house, and the meeting doesn't go exactly very well.
[00:13:53] Her date with Nick A is next.
[00:13:56] He's rented out an entire ice ring just for the two of them.
[00:14:00] They have a great time until she accidentally pops a bottle of champagne, and the cork goes right into his eye.
[00:14:06] Getting slizzered.
[00:14:07] I know.
[00:14:07] Their romantic evening ends up with a trip to the hospital, but they laugh it off.
[00:14:12] Back on set, Olivia and Chris' relationship is still tense, but there's some undeniable flirty energy at this point.
[00:14:20] Then Olivia and Darcy visit a custom woodworking shop for potential show inspiration,
[00:14:26] and it turns out that Nick B owns the shop and is interested in helping out for the show.
[00:14:31] The pair head to a Christmas festival where Olivia accidentally hits Nick B in the head,
[00:14:37] with a snowball during a competition with Chris, who also happens to be there.
[00:14:41] He jokes, guess I'm a knockout, or guess you're a knockout, or whatever.
[00:14:45] We'll knock out Joe.
[00:14:47] Thank you, everybody.
[00:14:48] It's hard to ignore the growing chemistry.
[00:14:52] Olivia's date with Nick C is a bit of a disaster as well.
[00:14:57] He's a firefighter who's posing for a calendar, and after a cookie incident, that triggers a nut allergy.
[00:15:03] A little too close to home for bride guy here.
[00:15:05] That's it.
[00:15:06] He ends up in the hospital.
[00:15:07] Womp, womp.
[00:15:08] Olivia's starting to freak out.
[00:15:10] What is she supposed to do?
[00:15:13] That's when a letter in her purse shows back up.
[00:15:17] Ring, ring, ring.
[00:15:18] And the letter is changed.
[00:15:20] This time it says that she must choose the right Nick by midnight on Christmas Eve.
[00:15:25] Darcy encourages her to date all three Nicks as much as possible before then.
[00:15:30] Cue the dating montage.
[00:15:32] While at her childhood home, Olivia finds Christmas decorations that she thought were lost forever,
[00:15:38] bringing back fond memories.
[00:15:39] Chris stops by and suggests using some of the old sketches that he finds of hers as inspiration for the remodel,
[00:15:46] which could ultimately end up saving them money.
[00:15:49] Olivia begins to warm to Chris, especially when he implements ideas from her sketches in the dining room.
[00:15:56] On a date with Nick C, still everybody's least favorite, I think I can speak for all of us,
[00:16:01] Olivia is inspired to put a giant bow on the house.
[00:16:05] Which, oddly, Chris agrees with this idea despite it being, I think we can all agree, a bad idea as a giant bow.
[00:16:13] You're telling us we all agree on a lot of things.
[00:16:15] Do you disagree that Nick C is the worst?
[00:16:18] I'm just saying, you're having a lot of leeway with this.
[00:16:21] Does Nick C, is Nick C the worst?
[00:16:24] I'm not going to rank them to shit.
[00:16:26] Oh, you're going to, you like the giant bow on the house?
[00:16:29] I'm, it's fine.
[00:16:31] Okay.
[00:16:32] I like the picture of it better.
[00:16:33] I like the picture of it as well.
[00:16:34] Yeah, the picture of it.
[00:16:35] Yes, yes.
[00:16:36] I think we can all agree on that.
[00:16:37] Yeah.
[00:16:37] I think we can all agree on that.
[00:16:38] Look at how it's coming together.
[00:16:39] Yeah.
[00:16:40] It's a quorum.
[00:16:40] Nick C is the worst Nick.
[00:16:43] Right?
[00:16:44] Dan?
[00:16:45] You're not going to vote.
[00:16:47] When are you going to vote?
[00:16:48] You think Nick C is the worst?
[00:16:49] Oh, man.
[00:16:52] By a hair, I would say.
[00:16:53] Oh, wow.
[00:16:54] Maybe.
[00:16:54] I have a theory on the Knicks.
[00:16:56] Okay.
[00:16:56] All right.
[00:16:57] All right.
[00:16:57] Fair enough.
[00:16:57] Fair enough.
[00:16:58] I don't.
[00:17:01] Olivia starts to soften towards Chris.
[00:17:03] He's actually pretty great, and they both want the same thing for the show.
[00:17:06] But just as things start to look promising, Nick B arrives with a handmade reindeer.
[00:17:12] They talk about where to go for their dates, but Olivia feels a little disconnected with him.
[00:17:17] Then she shows up at Chris's house to decorate the outside tree.
[00:17:22] I don't know.
[00:17:23] When he invites her in, she insists that she has plans.
[00:17:26] They try hugging twice, but it doesn't quite work.
[00:17:29] You know, hugging sometimes hard.
[00:17:31] So they settle for a fist bump.
[00:17:34] Olivia giggles and walks away.
[00:17:35] On her date with Nick A, they're under the mistletoe.
[00:17:38] He leans in for a kiss to take her mind off work, and the sparks fly.
[00:17:43] The next day at work, Olivia and Chris watch the final cut of the prerecorded segment.
[00:17:49] They're having a live portion of the program on Christmas Eve.
[00:17:53] To celebrate, Chris surprises her with a winter wonderland set up at the network's prop warehouse.
[00:17:58] There's even a snow machine.
[00:18:00] A snow machine.
[00:18:01] You kidding me right now?
[00:18:02] You kidding me right now?
[00:18:02] It is magical.
[00:18:03] They walk outside, and they give money to British Santa ringing a bell.
[00:18:08] Just as they almost kiss, Olivia gets a text snapping her back to reality.
[00:18:13] Oh, there goes gravity.
[00:18:14] As Christmas Eve approaches, Olivia is faced with a tough decision, choosing which Nick to pursue.
[00:18:20] The letter changes one last time, basically telling her it is time to pick.
[00:18:25] It's Christmas Eve, and Olivia is preparing for the live broadcast.
[00:18:33] Shockingly, all three Nick show up to surprise her.
[00:18:37] Just as she's about to go live, the three of them realize that they're all dating the same woman
[00:18:42] and end up in a ridiculous, inflatable candy cane fight in the background of the broadcast.
[00:18:48] Olivia, realizing what's happening, runs out to stop them, but they demand that she choose.
[00:18:55] She can't pick, and so all three leave, and Chris storms off angrily,
[00:19:00] because it all messed up the thing that he was so excited about.
[00:19:04] Plus, she was dating three other men.
[00:19:06] The special is a flop, or so she thinks.
[00:19:09] Surprisingly, social media loves her and the Knicks, and the special goes viral.
[00:19:14] Not those Knicks.
[00:19:15] No.
[00:19:16] Olivia gets offered her own show.
[00:19:19] Olivia realizes that Chris is her Christmas dream man,
[00:19:22] but she's going to have to stop him before his train leaves at midnight.
[00:19:26] Her sister locks her keys in the car, so they take the one-horse open sleigh
[00:19:31] that's just hanging out by the house.
[00:19:33] Chris is at the train station when Olivia arrives, just as the train is about to leave.
[00:19:38] He's talking to...
[00:19:39] Oh, there it is.
[00:19:40] He's talking to British Santa, and he's like,
[00:19:45] I feel like...
[00:19:45] But he's in street clothes, British Santa, so he's like,
[00:19:47] I feel like I know you from somewhere.
[00:19:49] Anyway, it's a whole thing.
[00:19:50] And then he taps him on the chest like this.
[00:19:52] You're like, what's going on there?
[00:19:53] Chris goes to board the train, but British Santa pit-pocketed him, took his ticket,
[00:19:58] and left a letter.
[00:19:59] And that letter tells him that getting on the train would be the biggest mistake of his life.
[00:20:03] Olivia arrives at the train station and is sad to see that the train has departed,
[00:20:07] but Chris hasn't.
[00:20:09] Chris isn't on that train.
[00:20:10] He's holding a letter that told him to stay.
[00:20:12] They apologize for how things ended and admit that they've both fallen for each other.
[00:20:18] Just as they're about to kiss, the intercom announces,
[00:20:21] Nick Davis is needed, Nick Davis.
[00:20:25] Olivia realizes, wait, your name is Nick?
[00:20:27] And Chris explains, yeah, but I've gone by my middle name since I was a kid,
[00:20:31] to make things less confusing.
[00:20:32] He's Nick D.
[00:20:33] He's Nick D.
[00:20:34] That's exactly right.
[00:20:35] The clock strikes midnight, snow begins to fall, and they kiss big ones.
[00:20:40] And just like that, Jack's alive!
[00:20:43] Olivia says that this was worth waiting for, and they kissed some more,
[00:20:48] and that my friends was, Santa tell me if you live in hell!
[00:20:54] We did it.
[00:20:55] Let's take a quick break.
[00:20:56] We'll come back and we'll break this movie down here on Deck the Hallmark.
[00:20:59] And you have a calendar where you watch a different Christmas movie almost every night during the holiday season.
[00:21:08] I do.
[00:21:09] It's true.
[00:21:09] I don't do that, but I can tell you that every Christmas, I watch Home Alone.
[00:21:13] Yeah.
[00:21:14] It's a classic.
[00:21:14] And you know what?
[00:21:15] This year, we're going to watch Home Alone on the big screen again with Macaulay Culkin himself.
[00:21:22] A nostalgic night with Macaulay Culkin following a special screening of Home Alone,
[00:21:27] and we're going to be there in person.
[00:21:29] That's right, Danos.
[00:21:29] The Home Alone tour, Macaulay Culkin is going to be appearing in person across the country this holiday season
[00:21:35] for an unforgettable evening sharing behind-the-scenes stories
[00:21:39] and answering your questions about making the film.
[00:21:42] We've already got our tickets to Newark, New Jersey.
[00:21:44] Let's go!
[00:21:44] But there's other cities he's appearing in, including Louisville, Erie, Detroit, Akron,

[00:22:28] Brand110plus.com.
[00:22:31] Nick sees the worst.
[00:22:32] Yeah, I think that the movie purposely makes each Nick a little bit more,
[00:22:40] like a little bit less full than the previous Nick.
[00:22:44] So like the first Nick is like pediatric neurobrain surgery,
[00:22:51] like doing these very fancy dates.
[00:22:53] The second Nick has a bit of a backstory.
[00:22:56] My parents ran this festival.
[00:22:58] And the third Nick is just hot fireman.
[00:23:00] And I think it's like multiplicity when they make three Michael Keatons,
[00:23:03] and the third Michael Keaton is perfectly just like not bright or like as with it as the other two.
[00:23:11] This Nick C is not, I'm not saying Nick C is dumb,
[00:23:13] but they don't make,
[00:23:15] Benjamin Ayers gets a full character.
[00:23:17] Chris Russell gets 60% of a character.
[00:23:19] Nick C is shirtless fireman.
[00:23:21] So like they do that.
[00:23:24] Which in some movies is a full character.
[00:23:26] That's right.
[00:23:26] But I think it's purposeful.
[00:23:29] I think they do that.
[00:23:30] Like I don't think you're supposed to, you know, think they're all equal.
[00:23:34] Sure.
[00:23:35] You know, maybe it was me.
[00:23:37] Let's share our thoughts on this movie.
[00:23:39] We're going to start with a hot take.
[00:23:40] We're going to share.
[00:23:41] Hey, here's what I think.
[00:23:43] Brian.
[00:23:44] What do you think?
[00:23:45] Share what I think.
[00:23:47] Well, I liked it.
[00:23:48] If I have to say what I think.
[00:23:51] I thought this was fun.
[00:23:52] Like from the jump, like from.
[00:23:53] Fun like from the jump.
[00:23:54] Like right from the jump.
[00:23:55] You know how we say from the jump.
[00:23:56] Yeah.
[00:23:56] But like from the jump is sort of like it.
[00:23:58] Sort of like it.
[00:23:59] I thought it was really fun from the jump.
[00:24:02] It felt wintry.
[00:24:03] It felt cold.
[00:24:03] Like it had a nice kind of wintry vibe to it.
[00:24:07] I really liked the advent calendar.
[00:24:10] It's a great advent calendar.
[00:24:11] They're switching through.
[00:24:12] So that's.
[00:24:13] It was backlit.
[00:24:14] But also in a movie that's super arbitrary about how many days it's been.
[00:24:19] Like for them to just show like one, three, seven, 14.
[00:24:22] Sure.
[00:24:22] The way they did it was wonderful.
[00:24:24] Yeah.
[00:24:24] Yeah.
[00:24:24] I really liked that.
[00:24:25] It made me realize how much, how much I like it.
[00:24:27] Cause I looked forward to, to the, every time I saw it, I was like,
[00:24:30] what day it's going to be.
[00:24:31] Yeah.
[00:24:31] Could be anything.
[00:24:32] We don't know.
[00:24:33] Really, really cool.
[00:24:36] I'm not, I haven't been following what calls, what calls the heart.
[00:24:38] So I don't, you know, this isn't a huge event for me having them back together.
[00:24:43] I obviously the chemistry is great.
[00:24:45] It was great to see them back together.
[00:24:47] I'm sure there's a big part of the viewership.
[00:24:49] That's really psyched about this kiss and this movie.
[00:24:51] I feel like it probably did not let them down.
[00:24:54] So that's a good thing.
[00:24:55] I would get, I would assume.
[00:24:57] The Christmas magic makes up for a lot of stuff.
[00:25:00] Yeah.
[00:25:00] Christmas magic's a huge set here.
[00:25:02] So it saves like a ton of things.
[00:25:04] And so it's hard to pick nitpick at little things, but the,
[00:25:07] the three Knicks fighting outside,
[00:25:10] like I don't think it should have worked for me as much as it did,
[00:25:12] but I really liked that.
[00:25:13] Those three guys together.
[00:25:14] Like it was just, they shouldn't have been on set.
[00:25:16] They shouldn't have been there, but it's just, they were,
[00:25:19] and it was great.
[00:25:20] I'm glad they were.
[00:25:20] Them fighting was awesome.
[00:25:21] It's just, I don't know.
[00:25:22] It all really, really worked.
[00:25:23] And I liked it.
[00:25:24] I liked it a good amount.
[00:25:27] Yeah.
[00:25:27] I love this movie.
[00:25:28] I thought this movie was so much fun.
[00:25:31] It, I think it, it delivered in just about every area that it could.
[00:25:36] It's when we found out that it was going to be Aaron Crako,
[00:25:39] Daniel Lissing,
[00:25:40] and then three other guys that she was going to be able to make eyes with.
[00:25:43] It was like, this could,
[00:25:44] there's really no way that this could be bad.
[00:25:47] And it wasn't, it was an absolute delight.
[00:25:50] I thought that the,
[00:25:51] the showcasing of the dates was just the right amount of time in this movie.
[00:25:56] Um, I thought that her and Daniel Lissing,
[00:26:01] once the, once, you know, the ice was,
[00:26:04] was thawed and they realized that they kind of liked each other.
[00:26:07] Those sparks were great.
[00:26:08] And, uh,
[00:26:09] that scene of them in the prop warehouse on that sleigh with the snow is as good
[00:26:14] as it gets.
[00:26:14] I loved it.
[00:26:15] Absolutely loved it.
[00:26:16] Uh,
[00:26:17] a dynamite kiss at the end of this movie.
[00:26:19] Um,
[00:26:20] almost like, uh,
[00:26:21] two lovebirds who haven't kissed in many years and then they get back
[00:26:25] together.
[00:26:25] Yeah.
[00:26:26] Um,
[00:26:27] you know,
[00:26:28] I think Dan,
[00:26:28] you and I would,
[00:26:29] uh,
[00:26:29] share this,
[00:26:30] uh,
[00:26:30] opinion that the only thing missing is some sort of nod to when calls the
[00:26:34] heart.
[00:26:34] I'll let you expand on that.
[00:26:35] Cause you had a great idea for it,
[00:26:37] but some sort of nod I think would have,
[00:26:40] uh,
[00:26:40] been really nice,
[00:26:41] but yeah,
[00:26:41] this movie,
[00:26:42] uh,
[00:26:42] is heartwarming.
[00:26:43] It's funny.
[00:26:44] And it checks all the boxes for me,
[00:26:46] uh,
[00:26:48] in the running for my favorite of the year.
[00:26:50] Oh,
[00:26:50] you're not making a call.
[00:26:51] Not making a call as of right now.
[00:26:52] Wow.
[00:26:53] As of right now,
[00:26:54] it's second for me.
[00:26:55] Interesting how that works.
[00:26:56] You're just going to let it,
[00:26:57] like I just said,
[00:26:58] as of right now,
[00:26:58] it's second for right now.
[00:26:59] Okay.
[00:27:00] Yeah.
[00:27:00] But in the war room,
[00:27:01] it could move to first.
[00:27:02] Anything could happen.
[00:27:03] That's right.
[00:27:03] What's first?
[00:27:04] Uh,
[00:27:05] five year Christmas,
[00:27:05] five year Christmas party.
[00:27:06] So I had a careful to yes,
[00:27:08] not.
[00:27:14] Hold out like Lucas,
[00:27:15] Nathan,
[00:27:16] and he would have been in there and been like neither.
[00:27:19] Or he'd have chosen one and be like,
[00:27:20] no,
[00:27:21] no,
[00:27:21] I'm sorry.
[00:27:21] It's this one.
[00:27:22] And then chose like something like that.
[00:27:24] I think would have been fun.
[00:27:24] Easy for them to do.
[00:27:25] Um,
[00:27:26] when we previewed the movie,
[00:27:27] I said,
[00:27:28] this movie had the highest floor of maybe any movie aside from three
[00:27:31] wiser men and holiday touchdown,
[00:27:35] just the premise and the actors on screen kind of makes this a six of 10 out
[00:27:39] of the gate.
[00:27:40] And I would say that they met that burden.
[00:27:44] Um,
[00:27:44] and they did so because of all the reasons we've already talked about.
[00:27:49] I don't,
[00:27:49] I don't have a lot of raves for this movie,
[00:27:51] but it's the best of the year so far,
[00:27:53] uh,
[00:27:54] for what that's worth.
[00:27:55] I think this year has been kind of a medium to down year so far.
[00:27:59] Uh,
[00:28:00] I thought that Aaron Craiko with Daniel Lissing,
[00:28:02] there's a reason we've missed that on when calls the heart.
[00:28:05] And for all of you team Nathan and team Lucas folks out there,
[00:28:09] her chemistry with him is better than both of them.
[00:28:12] Uh,
[00:28:12] and I don't think it's even particularly close.
[00:28:14] That kiss was hard.
[00:28:15] It was unbelievable.
[00:28:16] They are great together.
[00:28:18] Ayers is the best at this.
[00:28:21] He is the best.
[00:28:21] Benjamin Ayers.
[00:28:22] Benjamin Ayers is great as a leading dude,
[00:28:24] but when he gets to play a role where he can kind of wrinkle the page and
[00:28:29] do whatever he wants,
[00:28:30] no one is having more fun and giving up like a better performance than he is
[00:28:35] doing this thing.
[00:28:36] Chris Russell also has a blast.
[00:28:38] The guy that plays Nick C.
[00:28:40] I'm sure he was having fun too.
[00:28:41] What's his name?
[00:28:42] Kurt.
[00:28:43] Yeah,
[00:28:43] of course.
[00:28:43] I got it.
[00:28:44] Yeah.
[00:28:44] So yeah,
[00:28:45] like Christmas magic covers a,
[00:28:47] like a multitude of sins here.
[00:28:49] Aaron Craiko.
[00:28:50] I didn't even mention the Christmas magic of it all.
[00:28:52] Like it's Christmas magic.
[00:28:54] That's right.
[00:28:54] Like legit Christmas magic.
[00:28:56] It's,
[00:28:57] it's just one of those things where it,
[00:29:00] anytime you just are like,
[00:29:01] I don't know how this is all possible.
[00:29:02] Well,
[00:29:03] there's a note card that keeps having words that disappear and reappear.
[00:29:06] Um,
[00:29:08] and then Aaron Craiko,
[00:29:09] nobody in the business is better at like having this look on her face.
[00:29:11] Like she's very,
[00:29:12] very smitten.
[00:29:13] And she gets to have that kind of connection with four different dudes as
[00:29:18] she's trying to figure out which Nick to pick.
[00:29:20] And so,
[00:29:21] yeah,
[00:29:21] I mean,
[00:29:21] it is,
[00:29:23] it didn't like strike me like some of the great Hallmark movies do as being like an
[00:29:27] all time classic,
[00:29:27] but for this year,
[00:29:28] it's the best so far.
[00:29:29] I think the,
[00:29:30] the,
[00:29:30] the,
[00:29:31] the biggest knock on this movie is that it just doesn't take the show part of it
[00:29:37] even remotely.
[00:29:38] it doesn't.
[00:29:39] The renovating that had to be done on this house and the,
[00:29:43] you know,
[00:29:43] month of December shooting and editing that package.
[00:29:46] You would like to like,
[00:29:48] we don't care.
[00:29:49] That's the short version of that is we don't care.
[00:29:51] We don't care about the show.
[00:29:52] We don't care about the design and they know we don't care.
[00:29:56] All of us when they say you don't care for all of us,
[00:29:57] but they are 100% committed to not squandering the Craiko listing of it all.
[00:30:04] Yeah.
[00:30:05] And the,
[00:30:05] the,
[00:30:06] the fact that they have a unique premise on that side of it,
[00:30:08] but aside from the,
[00:30:11] the fact that it is unique and we get to see these two characters again,
[00:30:14] there's not a lot to pull for.
[00:30:16] And it's still somehow is the best one of the year so far in the holiday season
[00:30:19] for me.
[00:30:20] Maybe the one calls the heart.
[00:30:21] Not is just the notion that if given options,
[00:30:26] we would all choose Daniel.
[00:30:28] Listen,
[00:30:28] what's wild is,
[00:30:29] is that in the,
[00:30:30] in the universe of when calls the heart.
[00:30:32] Sure.
[00:30:32] If given options.
[00:30:34] Yeah.
[00:30:34] We would all choose Daniel listening every time.
[00:30:37] That's a great meta.
[00:30:38] And it's unbelievable because you would,
[00:30:40] I mean like the three other dudes are like in this movie.
[00:30:44] They're,
[00:30:44] they're,
[00:30:44] they're two of them are classic Hallmark.
[00:30:47] Yeah.
[00:30:48] Bros.
[00:30:48] I mean,
[00:30:48] they're,
[00:30:48] they're it.
[00:30:49] They're like who you would choose in these movies.
[00:30:51] And there's something about that Craiko listing combo.
[00:30:55] I don't know what it is.
[00:30:56] Wake me up.
[00:30:57] They get it.
[00:30:57] Bring me back to life.
[00:30:58] You know what I mean?
[00:30:58] Wake me up.
[00:30:59] It's time for all the feels is where we talk about what in this movie gave us
[00:31:02] feels,
[00:31:03] Brian.
[00:31:03] Yeah.
[00:31:04] The,
[00:31:04] the sweaters in this movie were better.
[00:31:07] Better than they needed to be.
[00:31:09] Like every scene had a,
[00:31:10] just a gorgeous knitted sweater or a cap or something that was like a
[00:31:14] knitted Christmas paraphernalia.
[00:31:16] It was really standout.
[00:31:18] Really nuts.
[00:31:19] They,
[00:31:19] they did it better than they had to.
[00:31:21] And I appreciate it.
[00:31:22] That her sister made.
[00:31:23] Yeah.
[00:31:23] Yeah.
[00:31:24] Yeah.
[00:31:25] She's so talented.
[00:31:26] So all the sweaters just on point,
[00:31:28] every scene,
[00:31:29] it was like,
[00:31:29] it was like lights in the background,
[00:31:32] except it was sweaters in the foreground.
[00:31:34] Great.
[00:31:35] It's just like lights in the background.
[00:31:37] Fair.
[00:31:37] Aside from not light sweaters.
[00:31:39] Yeah.
[00:31:39] Sweaters.
[00:31:40] You wear them.
[00:31:40] Yeah,
[00:31:41] exactly.
[00:31:41] In the front.
[00:31:42] Obviously.
[00:31:42] Same thing.
[00:31:43] So you got to speak for all of us.
[00:31:44] Yeah.
[00:31:45] Obviously that kiss at the end.
[00:31:47] Oh my gosh.
[00:31:48] Thank you right now.
[00:31:49] Fantastic.
[00:31:51] You know what worked for me was,
[00:31:53] and I didn't really see it coming,
[00:31:54] was the letter following her.
[00:31:57] Like it wasn't just the singular moment of Christmas magic.
[00:31:59] Super magic.
[00:32:00] Yes.
[00:32:00] It was this card that continues to show up with a glowing light and a
[00:32:05] ringing bell.
[00:32:07] And I really liked that.
[00:32:08] Cause I,
[00:32:09] I don't know if they,
[00:32:10] they didn't really need to do that.
[00:32:11] They didn't need to have this card that updates and kind of follows
[00:32:14] her around.
[00:32:15] Santa did it.
[00:32:16] Uh,
[00:32:16] say I'm sorry.
[00:32:17] So Santa didn't have to,
[00:32:18] Santa could have done the one and she would have probably realized,
[00:32:20] Oh man,
[00:32:21] maybe that there was something to that letter too bad.
[00:32:23] I threw it away,
[00:32:24] but they,
[00:32:24] uh,
[00:32:25] they kept it going and I actually really liked it.
[00:32:26] Yeah.
[00:32:26] And I will say this,
[00:32:27] we made this could skip ahead to the,
[00:32:29] what the hallmark segment,
[00:32:30] but like that brings in a lot of questions on Santa's powers.
[00:32:34] If he can just make a letter up here on,
[00:32:37] including on Chris's person to tell him exactly what to do in any given
[00:32:41] circumstance.
[00:32:42] Is Santa just like sitting around watching everybody buying his time,
[00:32:46] like waiting to interfere in some really intimate situations.
[00:32:50] Is that what he,
[00:32:51] is that what he,
[00:32:52] he's doing?
[00:32:53] I wish he would.
[00:32:54] Yes.
[00:32:54] Yeah.
[00:32:55] Good.
[00:32:55] Perfect.
[00:32:55] Glad we did it.
[00:32:56] Cool.
[00:32:57] Cool,
[00:32:57] cool,
[00:32:57] cool.
[00:32:57] Any feels,
[00:32:58] um,
[00:32:59] I mean the scene on the sled with the snow,
[00:33:02] pretty great kiss,
[00:33:04] pretty great.
[00:33:04] Uh,
[00:33:05] and then we didn't hear the song Santa tell me,
[00:33:07] and I don't know how many times I have to say this.
[00:33:09] You,
[00:33:10] you've kind of promised us the song Santa tell me and you didn't deliver.
[00:33:14] So there's that.
[00:33:16] First of all,
[00:33:16] how dare you?
[00:33:17] Yeah.
[00:33:17] Fair.
[00:33:18] Uh,
[00:33:18] let's take a quick break.
[00:33:19] We'll come back.
[00:33:19] We'll get to the way one,
[00:33:20] the what the hallmark here on deck,
[00:33:22] the hallmark.
[00:33:32] Welcome back everybody.
[00:33:33] It's deck,
[00:33:34] the hallmark.
[00:33:34] We're talking about Santa.
[00:33:35] Tell me the hallmark channel movie.
[00:33:38] Let's,
[00:33:38] uh,
[00:33:39] let's get to the way.
[00:33:39] What's where we talk about one,
[00:33:40] two minutes ago.
[00:33:41] Wait,
[00:33:41] what?
[00:33:42] Anything for you,
[00:33:43] Brian?
[00:33:43] A few things.
[00:33:44] Uh,
[00:33:44] they,
[00:33:45] the show bought the house,
[00:33:46] which I don't think that's how that works.
[00:33:48] I don't think shows just buy property and sit on it while they run.
[00:33:52] Save money.
[00:33:53] Yeah.
[00:33:53] Yeah.
[00:33:54] They bought,
[00:33:54] they bought the house.
[00:33:55] I don't,
[00:33:56] I don't know why they had to do that.
[00:33:57] Yeah.
[00:33:57] No kidding.
[00:33:58] At Christmas time,
[00:33:59] nonetheless,
[00:34:00] like,
[00:34:00] okay.
[00:34:00] Um,
[00:34:01] we have a lot of fun here.
[00:34:03] Deck the hallmark.
[00:34:04] We do.
[00:34:04] We have a ton of fun here on deck,
[00:34:06] the hallmark.
[00:34:06] She spilled a hot coffee on his nearly bare skin.
[00:34:11] That's right.
[00:34:11] Uh,
[00:34:13] and as somebody who has spilled hot chocolate on their nearly bare skin and
[00:34:17] suffered from,
[00:34:18] uh,
[00:34:18] the repercussions of a burn.
[00:34:20] Yeah.
[00:34:21] Third degree on your probably not third degree.
[00:34:23] I don't know what it was,
[00:34:24] but I had to keep going to the doctor and McDonald's lawsuit would beg to
[00:34:28] differ.
[00:34:28] That's right.
[00:34:29] That was right on the skin though.
[00:34:31] Yes,
[00:34:31] that was right on the skin.
[00:34:32] There was a shirt there first.
[00:34:33] There's no way it was third degree.
[00:34:34] For me though,
[00:34:35] as a,
[00:34:35] I was a kid.
[00:34:36] Oh yeah.
[00:34:37] I spilled hot chocolate all over my lap.
[00:34:38] Are you kidding me right now?
[00:34:40] Yeah.
[00:34:40] Ouch.
[00:34:40] He didn't even flinch.
[00:34:41] On my lap.
[00:34:42] Okay.
[00:34:42] I'll say,
[00:34:43] I'll say no more about it,
[00:34:44] but yeah,
[00:34:45] I don't want you to think we said too much.
[00:34:48] He didn't even flinch.
[00:34:48] You're right.
[00:34:49] Not even like an ouch.
[00:34:50] Ow.
[00:34:51] Ouchie wow.
[00:34:52] Yeah.
[00:34:52] Holy Kevin and ouchie wow.
[00:34:53] Not even an ouchie wow.
[00:34:55] Or I'm going to sue you like crazy.
[00:34:57] Could have gotten one ouchie wow.
[00:34:58] Wow.
[00:34:58] We could have at least gotten one.
[00:34:59] Yeah.
[00:35:00] Like that's a burn.
[00:35:00] Can you imagine she bumps into Chris,
[00:35:02] Chris Russell and he goes,
[00:35:04] ouchie wow.
[00:35:06] And then she gives him the sweater and we all think.
[00:35:09] Shirts coming off.
[00:35:10] Shirts coming off.
[00:35:11] Yeah.
[00:35:11] Why would you put the sweater on over a shirt that is just got piping hot coffee all over it?
[00:35:17] That's going to stain the sweater?
[00:35:19] A hundred percent.
[00:35:19] Yes.
[00:35:20] A hundred percent.
[00:35:21] And you're still wet.
[00:35:22] It doesn't do anything.
[00:35:22] And it's not like,
[00:35:23] I was like,
[00:35:23] okay,
[00:35:24] well,
[00:35:24] they're trying to keep this above board.
[00:35:25] And then the very next scene,
[00:35:27] old,
[00:35:27] old,
[00:35:28] uh,
[00:35:28] Nick number C.
[00:35:29] Nick number C.
[00:35:30] A,
[00:35:31] two,
[00:35:32] D,
[00:35:32] D,
[00:35:33] D,
[00:35:33] had his shirt off.
[00:35:35] And I was like,
[00:35:35] well,
[00:35:35] yeah,
[00:35:36] well,
[00:35:36] clearly we can.
[00:35:37] We can have the shirt off.
[00:35:39] Why didn't we?
[00:35:40] If we should.
[00:35:41] Why didn't we have the shirt off?
[00:35:43] But I,
[00:35:43] you just wouldn't like,
[00:35:44] if I have coffee all over me,
[00:35:46] I will,
[00:35:46] I don't want the thing that has coffee.
[00:35:48] Like you,
[00:35:48] you're going to switch it out.
[00:35:50] Definitely.
[00:35:50] You're not going to just put it on top.
[00:35:52] I feel like we speak for everybody when we say you're going to take the shirt off.
[00:35:55] He had like a,
[00:35:55] a cardigan on,
[00:35:57] right?
[00:35:57] He had a cardigan and then he could have just done one of these numbers or,
[00:36:01] you know,
[00:36:01] whatever,
[00:36:01] but he takes that off and we're,
[00:36:04] we're all getting geared up.
[00:36:05] We all know.
[00:36:06] We all know what's going to happen.
[00:36:08] If they had,
[00:36:09] imagine if they had,
[00:36:09] imagine if they had number one movie.
[00:36:12] Wow.
[00:36:12] It's one,
[00:36:13] it's one,
[00:36:14] it's one Chris Russell.
[00:36:15] You're an easy boy,
[00:36:16] man.
[00:36:16] I'm an easy boy,
[00:36:17] easy boy.
[00:36:18] That's right.
[00:36:18] that's how close it is though.
[00:36:20] And then listen,
[00:36:21] you got to make all the right choices.
[00:36:23] Yeah.
[00:36:23] That was a big mistake then.
[00:36:25] Big mistake.
[00:36:26] We have a lot of fun here,
[00:36:28] but you can't just have almond powder sitting out.
[00:36:31] And also you can't just grab it and not,
[00:36:33] not know.
[00:36:34] Like that's,
[00:36:35] that's not fun.
[00:36:35] Not only do the,
[00:36:37] like the,
[00:36:37] the way that she injures these three dudes becomes more like it becomes
[00:36:42] progressively less funny and more stupid.
[00:36:45] Like more like,
[00:36:46] you know,
[00:36:47] the,
[00:36:47] the champagne thing was funny.
[00:36:48] Like it was legitimately funny.
[00:36:50] By the time we get to all the powder,
[00:36:51] that was hilarious.
[00:36:52] Actually,
[00:36:52] it was,
[00:36:53] so incredibly like it was lazy.
[00:36:56] It was like less,
[00:36:57] like they put a lot of time into airs and none time into Santa city.
[00:37:02] You're right.
[00:37:02] Yeah.
[00:37:02] Right.
[00:37:03] So that's just,
[00:37:03] I mean,
[00:37:04] yeah,
[00:37:04] not fun,
[00:37:05] not fun,
[00:37:05] bad memories.
[00:37:06] Um,
[00:37:07] it's really hard to lock your keys in your car,
[00:37:09] right?
[00:37:09] Like this day and age,
[00:37:10] it's like impossible.
[00:37:11] If the car has been made in the last seven years,
[00:37:14] very difficult.
[00:37:14] That thing honks at you so long.
[00:37:16] Yeah.
[00:37:16] Like you can't do it.
[00:37:17] You know,
[00:37:17] my car won't lock if my keys are inside.
[00:37:19] It just beeps.
[00:37:21] Yes.
[00:37:21] I can't do it.
[00:37:22] So a car honk,
[00:37:23] a car honk,
[00:37:24] car honk.
[00:37:24] Yeah.
[00:37:24] Car honk.
[00:37:25] It is a car honk.
[00:37:26] It's a literal car honk.
[00:37:28] You got it.
[00:37:28] It's a good honk joke.
[00:37:29] And just,
[00:37:30] uh,
[00:37:30] the St.
[00:37:31] Nick knockout.
[00:37:32] Oh,
[00:37:32] the sound effect.
[00:37:32] There was a,
[00:37:33] at the St.
[00:37:33] Nick knockout.
[00:37:34] I thought of your,
[00:37:35] your thing.
[00:37:37] He,
[00:37:37] he knocks down a Santa,
[00:37:38] uh,
[00:37:39] St.
[00:37:39] Nick thing and it makes like a shattering noise.
[00:37:41] Like he shat,
[00:37:42] but it just kind of toppled down.
[00:37:43] So let's see that thing explode.
[00:37:45] Like it sounded like an explosion.
[00:37:46] Yeah.
[00:37:47] Well,
[00:37:47] I,
[00:37:47] I did a,
[00:37:48] I had a,
[00:37:48] a sound effect one as well when they,
[00:37:50] and this,
[00:37:50] I think it was for comedic effect,
[00:37:52] but when they throw down the inflatable,
[00:37:55] uh,
[00:37:55] candy canes,
[00:37:56] it makes like a rubber ducky sound like,
[00:37:58] yeah.
[00:37:59] Like what happened?
[00:38:00] Uh,
[00:38:01] that made me laugh.
[00:38:02] Um,
[00:38:02] you took many of mine.
[00:38:04] I'm so sorry.
[00:38:04] I will just say,
[00:38:06] and I don't really know what this is,
[00:38:08] like what to do with this,
[00:38:09] but it was so quick and I,
[00:38:11] and I don't know why they would do this so quickly.
[00:38:14] I almost wanted to,
[00:38:15] to,
[00:38:15] to land on it or go back to it.
[00:38:17] But when the bottle of the champagne spills,
[00:38:20] it's going around in circles.
[00:38:22] And for a split second,
[00:38:24] it,
[00:38:25] it makes a heart.
[00:38:26] Yeah.
[00:38:27] And it's such a little thing.
[00:38:29] That I just wish they would have like done anything,
[00:38:32] done anything with it.
[00:38:33] But,
[00:38:33] they,
[00:38:33] maybe,
[00:38:34] you know,
[00:38:34] maybe I'm reading into it.
[00:38:35] Maybe it didn't actually make a heart.
[00:38:36] Who can really say,
[00:38:37] to be honest.
[00:38:38] Um,
[00:38:39] and then last but not least,
[00:38:40] she's out to,
[00:38:42] breakfast,
[00:38:43] whatever,
[00:38:43] with her sister towards the end of the movie.
[00:38:46] And she's putting syrup on her plate.
[00:38:50] And her sister takes the syrup away from her.
[00:38:53] And let it be known,
[00:38:54] if you take syrup away from me,
[00:38:57] mid pour,
[00:38:58] I'll leave.
[00:38:59] Yeah.
[00:39:00] If you are a syrup police,
[00:39:01] nobody needs you.
[00:39:02] I don't want to be in your presence.
[00:39:04] Let me,
[00:39:05] listen,
[00:39:05] you can have your giant,
[00:39:06] massive bowl of fruit.
[00:39:09] Don't,
[00:39:09] don't take my syrup away.
[00:39:11] It's my syrup,
[00:39:13] my choice.
[00:39:13] I want to put it,
[00:39:14] I want to put it all over.
[00:39:17] And I don't want you to take it away from me.
[00:39:19] I already feel judged.
[00:39:20] When you get a bowl of fruit that big,
[00:39:22] I already feel judged.
[00:39:24] And so for you to go over and take the syrup away from me,
[00:39:27] I'm not having it.
[00:39:28] I'm walking out.
[00:39:29] I'd rather not eat at all than eating the presence of dessert.
[00:39:33] Please defund them.
[00:39:34] Dan.
[00:39:35] Yeah.
[00:39:36] It's good there.
[00:39:37] Yeah.
[00:39:38] Uh,
[00:39:39] at one point early in this movie where they're back in their,
[00:39:42] their childhood home,
[00:39:43] uh,
[00:39:45] the sister knocks on the side of a gas fireplace and it comes on.
[00:39:51] And you know what?
[00:39:52] Knocking the side of something to make it work is super cool.
[00:39:55] Most of the time.
[00:39:56] But if it has to deal with natural gas,
[00:39:59] flames,
[00:40:00] it's terrifying.
[00:40:01] It's not,
[00:40:02] it's not cool.
[00:40:03] It's not magic.
[00:40:05] It's like,
[00:40:05] Oh,
[00:40:05] I remember the gas must be stuck in the pipe somewhere.
[00:40:09] I'll knock it better.
[00:40:10] Loosen it before it explodes.
[00:40:12] That is,
[00:40:12] uh,
[00:40:13] that's just terrifying across the board.
[00:40:15] I can't tell you how much that's not the time or place to do that.
[00:40:19] You would immediately have to call someone.
[00:40:22] They would shut the gas off.
[00:40:23] They would,
[00:40:24] the house.
[00:40:24] No,
[00:40:25] you wouldn't do it.
[00:40:25] They also do.
[00:40:27] I would say like a C plus job of making this house look dilapidated and run down like random places.
[00:40:32] There's like wallpaper kind of like ripped and stuff.
[00:40:35] There's leaves in the living room.
[00:40:37] And it's,
[00:40:37] and it's like old houses.
[00:40:39] Yeah.
[00:40:39] Classic.
[00:40:40] Develop leaves.
[00:40:41] And then you go up to the attic and it is a pristine,
[00:40:45] like no problems.
[00:40:47] And B still filled with all of their childhood heirlooms and all of their childhood memories.
[00:40:54] Yeah.
[00:40:54] That house has been bought by someone else.
[00:40:57] It's been foreclosed on.
[00:40:59] They don't own it.
[00:41:00] They haven't owned it in forever.
[00:41:02] However,
[00:41:03] the attic is pristine with all of their childhood photos and memories.
[00:41:08] How?
[00:41:10] Why?
[00:41:11] What?
[00:41:12] No,
[00:41:13] that doesn't make,
[00:41:14] what did they,
[00:41:15] did they sell the house?
[00:41:16] Maybe you can't touch the attic.
[00:41:17] You can't touch the attic.
[00:41:18] You have to knock three times on the fireplace,
[00:41:21] but don't touch the attic.
[00:41:22] So help me.
[00:41:23] Uh,
[00:41:24] also,
[00:41:24] and this happens in these movies regularly,
[00:41:26] but Santa magic gets involved in the person who the Santa magic happens to immediately thinks it's not real.
[00:41:32] And I'm like,
[00:41:33] bro,
[00:41:34] you couldn't have had a clearer sign.
[00:41:35] Craiko watches words form in gold on a sheet of paper referencing a specific letter she wrote 25 years ago.
[00:41:43] And she throws it away and she's like,
[00:41:44] it's not real.
[00:41:45] It's not real.
[00:41:46] Somebody played an elaborate prank.
[00:41:47] One of those pranks where they hide the card in the AC vent,
[00:41:52] blow,
[00:41:52] blow some air through.
[00:41:54] So a bell rings.
[00:41:54] I get it.
[00:41:55] And then it lights up.
[00:41:56] Yeah.
[00:41:56] It's all.
[00:41:57] I bet even after everything that she's seen throughout this movie,
[00:42:00] if given the opportunity,
[00:42:00] she would deny Santa three times.
[00:42:02] She probably would deny at least.
[00:42:04] I don't know that guy.
[00:42:05] I don't know that British Santa.
[00:42:06] No,
[00:42:07] I don't know him.
[00:42:07] That's another one of mine.
[00:42:09] Santa's British in this movie.
[00:42:10] We don't know why.
[00:42:12] Just like,
[00:42:12] it just decided.
[00:42:13] Just picked up the accent while it was over there.
[00:42:15] It is what it is.
[00:42:16] Santa's,
[00:42:17] Santa's British.
[00:42:18] I don't know what to tell you.
[00:42:18] Uh,
[00:42:19] I've never seen someone,
[00:42:21] someone more taken aback that someone else has a master's degree than Aaron
[00:42:26] Craiko in this movie.
[00:42:27] Daniel Lissing says,
[00:42:30] I don't just direct this.
[00:42:31] I actually have a master's degree in interior design and Aaron Craiko.
[00:42:35] Like acts as though he's a Nobel peace prize winner,
[00:42:39] a poet laureate.
[00:42:40] Like,
[00:42:40] well,
[00:42:41] I think it's more about the what he has to matter because,
[00:42:43] because of how little she thinks of,
[00:42:45] but it still should come as a,
[00:42:47] a minor shock at best that a guy that directs TV shows that aren't always,
[00:42:55] don't know.
[00:42:56] Model home shows might have a background in it.
[00:42:59] Like it's a master's degree in interior design.
[00:43:02] It's not like he secretly like sent us,
[00:43:06] but we,
[00:43:06] we have master's degrees.
[00:43:08] I don't like it.
[00:43:09] What?
[00:43:09] That's right.
[00:43:10] You,
[00:43:10] I know.
[00:43:11] Right.
[00:43:11] That's right.
[00:43:12] We do.
[00:43:14] Those of you listening,
[00:43:16] we speak for everybody.
[00:43:17] Dan was speaking about all of us.
[00:43:18] That's right.
[00:43:19] He said,
[00:43:19] we,
[00:43:20] and that's,
[00:43:21] we all master's degrees.
[00:43:23] All of us.
[00:43:24] That's exactly right.
[00:43:25] All of us here.
[00:43:26] We all have degrees.
[00:43:28] That's right.
[00:43:30] Of any kind.
[00:43:31] Of any sort.
[00:43:31] Post high school degrees.
[00:43:33] For many kinds.
[00:43:35] Yeah.
[00:43:35] Of establishment.
[00:43:36] And then also,
[00:43:37] and you've said it in the hot take,
[00:43:39] but just to mention,
[00:43:40] it's this design show,
[00:43:42] special,
[00:43:43] whatever is just,
[00:43:44] could not be less important.
[00:43:46] She's never working on it.
[00:43:49] It is,
[00:43:50] it is,
[00:43:52] it doesn't matter.
[00:43:53] And I would prefer that over the Brian Harold take,
[00:43:57] which is,
[00:43:57] I need to see every single,
[00:43:59] all the contract thing that you ripped off the wall.
[00:44:02] How you got the quotes of different blood.
[00:44:03] Like I don't blueprint.
[00:44:05] This is preferred to me,
[00:44:06] but just to be clear,
[00:44:07] she's not doing this.
[00:44:09] She's hanging out with her sister.
[00:44:10] She's going on dates with a bunch of nicks.
[00:44:11] Like that's what she's doing.
[00:44:12] Yeah.
[00:44:13] Okay.
[00:44:15] It's time for what the hallmark it's where we wonder what could have been.
[00:44:19] Maybe have it,
[00:44:19] give some clarity.
[00:44:20] Yeah.
[00:44:20] Questions that we still have.
[00:44:21] What are you still wondering about?
[00:44:22] Yeah.
[00:44:22] Part of mine was what the heck happened with her parents.
[00:44:25] Like who are they running from and why do they leave all their stuff?
[00:44:27] Yeah.
[00:44:27] But the big one was,
[00:44:29] I thought for sure that her sister was going to end up with a nick or start
[00:44:33] going through the nicks.
[00:44:34] Like she was like dating the nicks.
[00:44:37] And why not?
[00:44:38] Like,
[00:44:38] why not have that,
[00:44:39] have,
[00:44:40] have her maybe have a connection with one of them and,
[00:44:43] and keep that going.
[00:44:44] I love that.
[00:44:44] That'd be kind of fun.
[00:44:46] Yeah.
[00:44:47] Um,
[00:44:47] yeah.
[00:44:47] I mean,
[00:44:48] we talked about the,
[00:44:49] the network buying the house,
[00:44:50] um,
[00:44:52] to do this show.
[00:44:53] Does this not become a,
[00:44:56] like the home base for her new show?
[00:44:58] Like what's the plan with the house?
[00:45:01] They may have mentioned,
[00:45:02] like,
[00:45:02] it's so weird that her and her sister are never,
[00:45:05] they're not sentimental about the house at all.
[00:45:07] No,
[00:45:07] but they do.
[00:45:08] They are just there.
[00:45:09] Like at the end,
[00:45:10] they're like,
[00:45:10] they're just having a conversation town.
[00:45:12] That's where they grew up.
[00:45:13] And they don't,
[00:45:14] there's no mention of them going,
[00:45:16] why don't we buy the house?
[00:45:17] Yeah.
[00:45:18] Isn't that weird?
[00:45:19] I don't,
[00:45:19] I mean,
[00:45:19] maybe she just assumes now she's,
[00:45:21] now she's going to get to do it.
[00:45:22] I don't know.
[00:45:23] Yeah.
[00:45:24] So the network doesn't just buy houses unless they have plans for it.
[00:45:29] Past just this show,
[00:45:30] right?
[00:45:30] Yeah.
[00:45:31] That's why they don't buy houses.
[00:45:32] That's why it's a huge weight.
[00:45:33] Exactly.
[00:45:33] They would have to,
[00:45:34] they'd have to have something planned.
[00:45:35] So maybe it's the home base,
[00:45:37] you know,
[00:45:37] it was the,
[00:45:37] and if,
[00:45:38] if the show did,
[00:45:39] if the special didn't end up,
[00:45:40] then they'd sell it again.
[00:45:41] Um,
[00:45:42] but if it works,
[00:45:43] maybe it's her home base for the show.
[00:45:45] I don't know.
[00:45:46] Like the home and family home,
[00:45:47] home and family home.
[00:45:48] That's exactly right.
[00:45:48] You get it.
[00:45:49] Um,
[00:45:49] my what the hallmark is purely about Daniel Lissing.
[00:45:52] Uh,
[00:45:52] welcome back to the network,
[00:45:54] Daniel Lissing,
[00:45:55] but also it's clear that he should be in these movies and we know the past with
[00:46:01] wind calls the heart and other things.
[00:46:03] Does this mean he's back?
[00:46:05] Does this mean we're going to get more Daniel Lissing?
[00:46:07] Maybe someone has that answer.
[00:46:09] Uh,
[00:46:10] it seemed like a no brainer to have a Lucas Nathan thing in this movie and they
[00:46:14] didn't do it.
[00:46:15] I would have loved to see that.
[00:46:16] I wonder if that was ever a part of it,
[00:46:17] but really just is this,
[00:46:20] did Daniel Lissing get to do this?
[00:46:21] Because Craiko was like,
[00:46:23] Hey,
[00:46:23] we need him to come do this.
[00:46:24] Or is he back in the good graces of Hallmark?
[00:46:27] I mean,
[00:46:27] Chris Russell's doing movies on other networks and stuff,
[00:46:29] and he's still there.
[00:46:30] What about Daniel Lissing?
[00:46:32] Is,
[00:46:32] is he turning it down?
[00:46:33] I'm just fascinated.
[00:46:34] Time will tell.
[00:46:35] You would think he'd be in more of these.
[00:46:36] Time will tell.
[00:46:37] Uh,
[00:46:38] just like time will tell us who this week's double decker of the week is.
[00:46:43] Nicely done.
[00:46:43] Thank you.
[00:46:44] It's time to find out who,
[00:46:45] uh,
[00:46:46] Brian has done the deep dive on.
[00:46:47] If you would like to become a double decker,
[00:46:48] you can go to brainwildjamplus.com.
[00:46:50] You can sign up for the double decker tier or higher,
[00:46:52] and Brian will tell your story,
[00:46:54] whether you want him to or not.
[00:46:56] Uh,
[00:46:56] Dan,
[00:46:56] who do we have today?
[00:46:57] We have Christina Thornton.
[00:46:59] Oh,
[00:47:00] Jack Thornton.
[00:47:00] Christina Thornton.
[00:47:01] Oh,
[00:47:01] look at that.
[00:47:02] That's nice.
[00:47:02] Yeah.
[00:47:03] Yeah.
[00:47:05] Thematic.
[00:47:05] Yes.
[00:47:06] Yes.
[00:47:07] Thornmatic.
[00:47:08] Thornmatic.
[00:47:09] That was pretty good.
[00:47:10] Uh,
[00:47:10] I did a little bit of research here on the Thornmeister.
[00:47:14] Uh,
[00:47:15] the,
[00:47:15] the,
[00:47:16] so this is a tough time of year for candy.
[00:47:17] Uh,
[00:47:18] for me,
[00:47:18] especially like eating too much.
[00:47:20] It's just everywhere.
[00:47:21] It's great for the candy industry.
[00:47:23] Yes.
[00:47:23] Just between the candy and the sweets.
[00:47:25] It's tough.
[00:47:25] It's just all over the place,
[00:47:26] especially if you're trying to be careful about it.
[00:47:28] And so Christina has come up with kind of a new program.
[00:47:30] It's not really,
[00:47:32] I wouldn't call it a weight loss program,
[00:47:33] but it's sort of something just to get you through these,
[00:47:35] these tough months where you can sign yourself up or somebody else can do it
[00:47:39] for you.
[00:47:40] Who's got your back looking out for you.
[00:47:42] Christina will coordinate that somebody coming in kind of like chipping away at
[00:47:46] the candy on your behalf in your house.
[00:47:48] And so like,
[00:47:49] you won't eat too much of it.
[00:47:50] You know,
[00:47:50] it'll kind of dwindle down faster than it normally would.
[00:47:53] Okay.
[00:47:53] Someone sneaks into your house and eats her candy.
[00:47:55] Yeah,
[00:47:55] basically.
[00:47:56] But you want to do so.
[00:47:57] Somebody,
[00:47:58] you or,
[00:47:59] you know,
[00:47:59] somebody gets it for,
[00:48:00] it's a great gift idea actually.
[00:48:02] Uh,
[00:48:02] but yeah,
[00:48:03] yeah,
[00:48:03] it'll just help you kind of chip away at it because you don't want to have.
[00:48:06] I keep saying chip away and I,
[00:48:09] no,
[00:48:09] not nothing.
[00:48:09] No,
[00:48:10] that's not leading.
[00:48:10] No,
[00:48:11] just help you work through it.
[00:48:12] And like,
[00:48:12] you know,
[00:48:13] something is going away faster than you thought it would.
[00:48:15] Like,
[00:48:16] you know,
[00:48:16] then it's good.
[00:48:17] You're not going to have as much of it,
[00:48:18] obviously.
[00:48:18] If I wanted to do this,
[00:48:19] how well,
[00:48:20] who would I contact?
[00:48:21] What's the name of the business?
[00:48:22] This is called seize candy.
[00:48:24] What?
[00:48:25] Christina Thornton started seize candy.
[00:48:27] Seize candy.
[00:48:28] Yeah.
[00:48:28] Like seize chocolate.
[00:48:30] No,
[00:48:31] no,
[00:48:31] no,
[00:48:31] no.
[00:48:31] Okay.
[00:48:31] You can't say that.
[00:48:32] Sorry.
[00:48:33] Yeah.
[00:48:34] Yeah.
[00:48:34] Seizing it.
[00:48:35] Seizure.
[00:48:37] Candy.
[00:48:38] Seizure candy.
[00:48:38] Oh,
[00:48:39] seize your candy.
[00:48:41] Yeah.
[00:48:41] Is it called seizure candy?
[00:48:43] Or is it called candy?
[00:48:44] But she will seize your candy.
[00:48:46] Ah,
[00:48:46] it's not called seizure candy.
[00:48:48] No,
[00:48:48] no,
[00:48:49] no,
[00:48:49] no,
[00:48:49] Why?
[00:48:50] It could be,
[00:48:51] but it's not.
[00:48:52] It does.
[00:48:53] She wasn't sure how that would play.
[00:48:55] So she called it.
[00:48:55] It has some connotation.
[00:48:57] It does sound very like aggressive.
[00:49:00] Like someone's coming in your house.
[00:49:02] Well,
[00:49:03] it's like a reclamation service.
[00:49:05] Do you leave it on your porch?
[00:49:07] No,
[00:49:07] no,
[00:49:07] no,
[00:49:08] She'll,
[00:49:08] she'll,
[00:49:09] it's a little like mission impossible.
[00:49:11] Oh,
[00:49:11] wow.
[00:49:12] Like she'll get elaborate if she has to,
[00:49:14] because some people,
[00:49:15] if you don't know about it,
[00:49:16] especially,
[00:49:17] you know,
[00:49:17] it's gotta be sneaky.
[00:49:18] She's gotta be real sneaky.
[00:49:19] Like,
[00:49:19] so,
[00:49:20] uh,
[00:49:20] a lot of it is in the darkness of night and just undercover.
[00:49:24] So you'd usually,
[00:49:24] welcome back to Tanner's late night show.
[00:49:27] I'm Tanner.
[00:49:28] I'm here today with John Joe,
[00:49:30] John Joe.
[00:49:30] You are one of the candy Caesars for seize you.
[00:49:35] Candy.
[00:49:35] I seize all that candy.
[00:49:36] What's going on?
[00:49:37] I see a candy.
[00:49:38] I seize it.
[00:49:39] Is it Swedish Fish?
[00:49:40] Seize it.
[00:49:41] Is it Sour Patch Kids?
[00:49:43] Seize it.
[00:49:44] Now,
[00:49:44] is it Milk Duds?
[00:49:46] Seize it.
[00:49:47] You may be asking about Kit Kats.
[00:49:49] Seize it.
[00:49:50] Skittles?
[00:49:51] Seize it.
[00:49:52] No,
[00:49:52] there's gonna be clusters.
[00:49:53] Seize it.
[00:49:54] 100 gram bars?
[00:49:55] Seize it.
[00:49:55] Mounds?
[00:49:56] Don't seize it.
[00:49:57] I hate mounds.
[00:49:58] I was gonna ask you,
[00:50:01] do you eat it all or do you pocket some of it and throw it away in the dumpster somewhere?
[00:50:05] I eat it.
[00:50:06] All of it.
[00:50:07] Unless it's a mounds bar.
[00:50:08] And if you send me one of those, hell's coming your way.
[00:50:11] I can tell you that right now.
[00:50:12] What's been the hardest house to seize?
[00:50:14] Mounds Avenue.
[00:50:17] Come again?
[00:50:20] Man,
[00:50:21] Mounds Avenue.
[00:50:22] We gotta take a break.
[00:50:24] Wow.
[00:50:25] How about that?
[00:50:26] Yeah.
[00:50:26] He doesn't like mounds bars.
[00:50:27] Someone of a Cesar.
[00:50:29] I've also never heard of Tanner's late night show.
[00:50:32] Yeah,
[00:50:33] it's a late night show.
[00:50:34] We're gonna be back tomorrow with another one.
[00:50:36] Hopefully you'll join us until then.
