[00:00:03] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast. I'm Bran and I still love Hallmark Christmas Movies. Um, Brian, I like, still like, uh, Hallmark Christmas Movies. You okay, buddy? I'm Dan, I still despise Hallmark Christmas Movies and this is the Deck The Hallmark Podcast! Deck The Hallmark, it's his podcast.
[00:00:28] A friend's host, his podcast. We hope you like it. Yes, yes, yes! Hello everybody and welcome to a new season of Deck The Hallmark. Season 9 is officially here! Can you believe it?
[00:00:57] I can't, Bran. That's a lot. That's a lot of Deck The Hallmark. Nine years ago, talking to my friends about Christmas and the Hallmark Movies, we should podcast them. Well, it's actually nine years ago to have been 2017. This is the ninth season, so it's eight years ago. And then I said, my friend, Dan, can you please shut your filthy mouth?
[00:01:23] I'm trying to make a point here about the friendship that we still have. Just get it right. It's not like it's tough to do. I love my friends and I love Hallmark Christmas and I want to do this for the rest of my life. It's only been nine years, but it feels like yesterday. It just started the ninth year. Everybody's happy that we're back again. And it's good stuff, man.
[00:01:53] Thank you. Really good. It's great to be here. Season 9, our ninth holiday season. Slimmer Sanger, ninth year. Many are saying. And it is great. It's great to be here. What we're doing here today for the kickoff... It's very simple. Listen, when the schedule came out, we all gave our first look. And you're like, oh, so we kind of know what they think is exciting. And then we spent, I don't know, three to 50 hours previewing all these movies. Bran read every synopsis. Everybody.
[00:02:22] We all gave a rating for all those movies. You could listen to all that and figure out which ones we're most excited about. We had to do that. In this episode, what we're going to do is that first look and that preview, we're going to combine those two buggers into new content by telling you for the third time the movies we're most and least excited about. This is the big reveal here. So let me do what you did, but with a better tone. So what we have the opportunity to do here today is take everything that we've learned
[00:02:52] about these movies over the past month through our first look and our preview episodes and compile a list of the movies that we are most excited about, but also the most cautiously looking at them. Of course. Excellent use of name. We've spent a lot of time thinking about these movies, looking over these movies, and now we have a full understanding of the movies that we're most excited for and not excited for.
[00:03:19] And personally, I throw the preview shows out when I think about it. With the baby? And the backwater? What do you mean? So all that nonsense, all that BS of cream plus two and all that stuff. So when I look at that chart and I see you have your highest ratings will not be the ones you're most looking forward to. This is pure vibes. I'm looking at the list and I'm thinking... Pure vibes, everybody. Get him some sunglasses. ...pop out to me. I mean, because I've got it right here. I could look to tell you. Throw it out.
[00:03:48] Well, that would be interesting. When I give my top three and my bottom three, you will tell me what I had in the previous show. You know what's great is... I'd like to know as well. Yeah. I mean, you're... Okay. I'm going with vibes too, Brandon. Okay. Vibes based. Vibing out, man. Dan's very analytical. He just looked at the data. Buy the book, Dan. Buy the book and buy the look. You can buy his look right now. And buy his book, actually. You can't buy a book. We have a new book out today. We do. Yeah. Oh my God. Where is it? Where is it? Where is the book? Do you have it? Where is it? I have one in my backpack.
[00:04:19] Go get it, Brandon. Where'd it go? Mine's the knock. Get it in my backpack. There's so many books around here. The big pocket, it's in there. Big pocket. It's wide open. Don't touch anything else. Oh God. Don't ruin the book. There it is. Here we go. Look at that. It's out now. Tell everybody about Oh Christmas Con. It's a rom-com heavy on the con. This is a sequel. It's not a sequel. It's in the same world.
[00:04:46] It's in the same universe, but a completely different story. And do you want to give anybody the plot of this? It's a pretty good plot. I really like what we've done here. Yeah. It's on. You can read it. Yeah. You can read it right now. You can listen to the audio book. You can get the Kindle. You can get the actual paperback here. What's it about? What's it about? Get the plot away. You know Christmas cons are a big deal, right? There's an actor at a Christmas con, and there's a person who doesn't like Hallmark
[00:05:12] Christmas movies at all, and her friend does, and she actually calls in somehow. Long story. I don't want to give anything away. It's very technical. Yeah. She ends up talking to this Hallmark actor at the Christmas con live on stage about relationships, and thus begins a fun flirtatious journey toward them meeting and her falling in love with Christmas movies this season, and maybe a little bit more than that. You know what I mean?
[00:05:40] Somebody's done a preview show before. Yeah. You did the whole thing there. I also read the whole GD book. You know what I mean? Sure did. Oh, this one's already signed? Yeah, that's a sign. Are you kidding me right now? That's pretty good. There you go. Anyway, you can pick that up right now. It's a fun time. You should check it out. That's exactly right. I think it's better than our first one. Agreed. Yeah. Anywhere that you get books and audiobooks. Audio as well should be out everywhere. Should be out everywhere. I'm going to look it up right now and see if you're lying. All right. Let's do our top three. Shall we do that?
[00:06:10] I'm going to start with you, Bri Guy. Bri Guy, what's that first one? What you got? My first one, the one that stood out to me immediately, I'm very excited about immediately, was What If Christmas? This is the Lori Loughlin and Tom Cavanaugh joint. This is your top. This is- Is this like third or first? What are we doing? Third. I'm going with most excited, I think. This is your most- You're just one out of the gate. One out of the gate. Why would I hold back at this point? Because that's how we've done it every year. Can we just do numbers don't matter in this case? We can.
[00:06:40] Okay. So this one- What a useless episode. Very excited about this one. Bringing together people from, you know, I grew up watching them in different capacities and now they're in this world that is sure to be just a great time. Yeah. I can't wait for this movie. And Lori's still got it. We know that. When Sleepy Kitty Paws did what Sleepy does and posted pictures and whatnot of this movie, I got jazzed for it. I got jazzed. I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
[00:07:09] Now, this is the one where she like loses her memory, right? And so there's a little trepidation there. What? A little trepidation. Trepidation. Yes. Trepidation. Yeah. Very trepidation. I think I'm very excited about the leads in this movie. The plot itself, not so much. But you know what, Brain? If I have a Kringle to enjoy it with, it doesn't really matter. That's exactly right. Oh, great point, Dan. Great point, self. Honestly, great point, self.
[00:07:36] So it is what better way to kick off the holiday season with some Kringle. Dan, tell everybody about the Kringle today. Merry Berry Kringle. Merry Berry. That's a perfect one to kick off of. It's starting to get festive, y'all. You go to Kringle.com. Put in DTHOCT26. Open that one up. Show everybody how festive it looks. Oh! The festivities go on here. Are you kidding me right now? That's nice and cold. It's very cold. Let's go. Absolutely. Kringle.com.
[00:08:02] Use the promo code DTHOCT26 to get 10% off. And they are also going to be helping us out with the marathon this year, which kicks off tonight. This whole weekend during the marathon, a dollar per Kringle sold is going to Foster. And you still get the discount. Of course. So you get the discount. And then on top of that, they're going to give the money. That's exactly right. Very excited about that. For sure. Great job, Bright Guy. Thanks, man. My first one.
[00:08:31] And again, I'm not doing any particular order this year. No, we would never. That wouldn't make any sense at all. It'd be stupid. I'm excited that I don't have to wait very long for this movie. This is next weekend. I'm going Forgotten Holiday. Janelle Parrish. Come on. Daniel Lissing. A little bit of memory loss. He's got it lost. And she has to help him remember kind of by doing all the fun holiday things. She'll 51st dates him. I think she's going to 51st dates him. And I think it seems so fun.
[00:09:00] The poster also has me very intrigued. It is a very, like, I've never seen a poster like this for Hallmark Channel before. It's very different. And so I'm pumped about this movie. It might be the one I'm most excited about, but I'm doing not in any particular order. No. I couldn't possibly put an order to this. So that's the one that I'm excited about to kick things off. Yeah. In no particular order, I guess, I'll go next. I'm really looking forward to Return to Santa. Return to Santa! Return to Santa!
[00:09:31] Return to Santa! He's going to slide down your chimney. Okay. I'm going to love it. This is Paul Campbell, Rachel Boston, but this is also the plot that sounds the best to me. Okay. An eight-year-old sends a letter to Santa. It gets lost in the shuffle at the North Pole. And then years later, decades later, as an adult, the North Pole tries to make up for it by granting him his wishes as an eight-year-old, but as an adult.
[00:10:00] Great idea for a premise. Great idea for a Christmas movie. I think the upside of this movie is super big, and I think it could be one to remember. All right. One to remember. Yeah. Really good. I'm excited about that one, too. Bride Guy? Yeah. My next one in no particular order. Yeah. It could be any of them. These are tops, though. Yeah. Yeah. These are tops still. Yeah. The snowflake effect. Oh. This is Heather Hemans. Yeah. Mark Ganimay. Yeah. The poster.
[00:10:30] The picture of them together. It's just there's no way that they're not going to work, and it's going to be a good time. And there's some magic in this one, involved in this one. And so this one, I think, will be a really good time, and just probably won't be able to take my eyes off the screen. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. There is that. It's going to be a good one. Yeah. White elephant gift. So, yeah. It's a magical trip. A magical jaunt. White elephant gift. White elephant gift. Need I say more. Need I say more. What else happens in the movie? Maybe even elephant.
[00:10:59] She's a lawyer. Yeah. Okay. And he's a handsome, laid back clerk. All I know is that they're good looking. I don't remember what I said. That's kind of it. There's a snowflake effect. There's a magical snowflake. Is it like the butterfly effect? Oh, I hope so. I hope so. One snowflake causes a ripple. The snowflake effect. It's a snowflake effect. A storm. Yeah. Yeah. My next one is double booked for the holiday. Rachel Lee Cook times two. Yeah. I mean, Rachel Lee Cook is twins.
[00:11:29] Yeah. And full disclosure, that's probably my number one. Oh, really? But Bran called it first. And I want to let him have it. Yeah. And then, is that Owen Yeoman? True. Something like that? Owen Yeoman? It can't be Owen Yeoman, right? No. That's crazy. That would be too fun. You guys know that I trust Rachel Lee Cook. Yeah. With my life. Unequivocally. Yes. I trust her. Yeah. And I think that she is the perfect person for this job.
[00:11:56] We haven't seen on Hallmark Channel an actor playing twins since Candace Cameron Buret, I believe. That is... No, we have seen an actor, Jeremy Jordan, mix up the Mediterranean. But we've not seen one in a Christmas movie. Okay. Yeah. I got to be honest. I don't even remember that movie. Great movie. Oh, yeah. He's a chef. Great movie. Yeah. No, I believe it. But I trust Rachel Lee Cook with this. She is, let's be honest. A significantly better actor than Candace Cameron. Shut out.
[00:12:24] And I think she's going to crush this. I can't wait to see Rachel Lee Cook. Yeah. Oh, I see what you did there. Really impressive. With two different characters. I wanted to finish this sentence. That's really good. Pause for effect. Dano? Yeah. Next on my list is A Season of Promises. This is Allie Liebert and Brooke Jorce. Oh, yes. There is at least a chance that for the first time, I think maybe in my...
[00:12:51] In our time doing this, that this movie doesn't have a formal romantic... We'll see. ...plot line. I mean, it may. Yeah. But these two are very oil and water in general. I think as actors, I think they both will work very well together playing off of each other. This is high risk, high reward. I think this movie could be also go the other way. But I think as it stands on paper, this looks like a really fun swing for Hallmark. So I'm excited about it. All right. Good reason. Good reason. I agree with that.
[00:13:21] But is there even a white elephant? I mean, is there even a white elephant? Okay. Okay. All right. All right, bright guy. Last but not least. That's right. Actually, I think it might be least for you. It's actually not. It doesn't. In no particular order. In no particular order. That's how we're doing these. This is the Christmas Eve feast with Danielle Monet and Kevin McGarry with his, please, little baby Jesus, give his Boston accent. I really am banking on the Boston accent of it all because they're going to the North End.
[00:13:51] They're going to go to Mike's Pastry, obviously, the better. I mean, shout out. And she's back for Christmas Eve dinner, Feast of the Seven Fishes. Yeah. I cannot emphasize enough how much I'm looking forward to the Boston accent. You know what excites me about this one is it does, it sounds like we're going to spend a lot of time with family. Yeah. Like all together. Yeah, yeah. Big crew, maybe. And I think that's, I'm really excited about that. Yeah. That typically ends up working pretty well. Yeah. When you have a lot of family stuff, it brings a lot of fun to it. Yeah.
[00:14:20] So I think that could be right. I think it could very well be a great one. It also could be real bad. Uh-huh. Yeah. And that's the joy. That's the joy. That's why we do this. Yeah. We're risk takers. My last one, but once again, not least, no particular order. No particular order, obviously. That's how we've always done it. I've got eight nights for love. Our lone Hanukkah movie for the holiday season, Hunter King, Dan Janot. It just sounds like a ton of fun.
[00:14:49] And there might be White Elephant in the mix. I am a little bit concerned. There is an antique element to this movie, and sometimes I get a little burnt out and scared by antiques. Yeah. But it might be magical. So that could have some fun to it. But at the end of the day, we've talked about this before, but Hallmark, typically the Hanukkah
[00:15:14] movie ends up being one of the better ones for the holiday season. Pretty good batting average, and it's good when you only do one a year, you would hope, right? You would hope that it would be a good one. And so my fingers are crossed for this. I really like this pairing. I think it's a really fun pairing, and I think it's a fun premise. So I have this one as one that I'm really looking forward to. A pro writer, too. Tomorrow, laddie. Yes. Come on. Yeah, I know what they're doing. That's going to be a good one. I feel good about this. Really high floor for that one.
[00:15:43] Dan, what have you got to close us out here before we take a break? We can't finish out our, in no particular order, most looking forward to movie list without talking about the nights before Christmas, right? I think so. I mean, Tyler Hines plays Marty. Marty! In a time loop movie with Lacey J. Mailey and Russell Hainline riding. Come on, guys. How do we get to the ninth one? How do we get to me? Well, there's no order. There's no particular order, but I am last. Nights before Christmas, got to talk about it. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:16:13] And, Brant, you had, I just want to be clear, five, you had four movies that you gave five, Nogs, and a cream two. Okay. You only listed one of them in your most looking forward to. Did I give the other ones high ratings though? That you said? I didn't. I was just looking for your five and a cream. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah. Very good. I will just say, we've listed off nine movies that we're looking forward to. Didn't mention Biltmore. Didn't mention Disney. Nope.
[00:16:41] Didn't mention Palaha. Didn't mention Walker. Didn't mention a dog movie. Didn't mention- It's got to be the first time. Yeah, that's a dog, I think. Didn't mention JB at the end of the season. Save the date for Christmas. A lot of movies that I think we're all looking forward to, these were kind of just ones that poked through and maybe cut through the noise. I think there's a lot of noise with Disney. There's a lot of noise with Biltmore. There's a lot of noise with some of our favorite actors. I would say this-
[00:17:10] But these are ones that really snuck through. You can take it to the tape. Let's do it. First kickoff episode that will not include us specifically talking about a Palaha movie ever. Wow. How about that? Crazy. Crazy. Maybe he'll pop on tonight, though, and talk to us about his movie. Maybe. Get us even more excited about it. Maybe he'll appear in the bottoms here. And also, not mentioned, is a movie that we're going to be watching tomorrow night live with all of you, Holiday Touchdown Bears Love Story.
[00:17:39] That is premiering tomorrow night. It is how we will close out our marathon. We'll be watching that movie live with all of you. We'll be on hour 24, 25, 26 at that point. And then we're reviewing that movie immediately afterwards. You're not going to want to miss it. DeckTheHomber.com slash marathon. It all gets started tonight at 6 with our draft. We're going to be raising money for Foster Love. It's going to be a lot of fun. DeckTheHomber.com slash marathon. Let's take a break. We'll come back. We'll get to some movies that maybe we're not so excited. I love it. Not so excited about it.
[00:18:25] No, I... Dan knows about... No, no, no. No, no, no. Stop. Stop. I... Don't be ridiculous. I knew we were kicking off season nine today, and I decided I would walk and just kind of reminisce and take stock. Nine years. Nine years. What if cartoons got saved? Nine years of podcasting with my friends. Tomorrow's newspaper today. And on my way in, I...
[00:18:51] It wasn't a crash so much as it was a little bit of... No, like... Like, wow? One guy just kind of stopped. And so I stopped, and I, like, opened up the door, and I was like, sir, are you okay? Yeah. And they said, don't call me sir. That's my dad. And I said, this isn't the time for that. Are you okay? I saw your car just stopped. And they said, I stopped because I saw you.
[00:19:17] And I want you to know that your podcast has changed my life. And I said, my God. I guess committed. What are you... Are you sure you're looking at me, telling me that? Brandon from Deck the Homework? You think I've changed your life? This podcast has changed your life? And he said, I'm sorry. I thought you were a brain from Christmas morning. I thought you were a brain from Christmas morning. I thought you were from a different podcast. And I said, no problem. I get that all the time. I do have a beard, and I am white.
[00:19:46] And they said, no problem. I'll get on my way. And then he started driving away. Stopped again. Reverse. On Lawrence Road. I was just watching this happen. I was just watching all this happen. And then he said, hey, can you by chance tell me three movies that you're not looking forward to this holiday season? And I said, hey, hey, hey, hey. Tune in, buddy. We're getting ready to talk about it. And that's what we're going to do right now. Did he request any particular order?
[00:20:13] He actually said, for the love of God, if you do this in an order, I won't listen. Wow. So we're going to do no particular order. And I'm going to start with you, Bri Guy. Bri, three movies that we're not looking forward to. What's that first one for you? No particular order. This pains me, obviously. Obviously. Yeah. This is... Then why'd you do it? I can't. You could have put those 34 movies. Because that guy Bran ran into is expecting it. He's expecting it. Did he get his name, Bran? Or just... Yeah. Riley O'Malley.
[00:20:42] Right. Right. Right. Riley O'Malley. Riley O'Malley. And I'm saying it out loud. O'Malley! Saying it out loud makes me think that... His last name. Saying it out loud makes me think that he gave you a fake name. A fake name. Oh, Riley O'Malley is a fake name. Riley O'Malley. But he'll know that you're talking about it. Yeah. Of course. He knows. Yeah. My first one that I'm not as excited about others is, unfortunately, the fish joint. It's called Who's Coming for Christmas? Oh! That's fair. We love the fish.
[00:21:12] What is this? Is this a full me one situation? Yeah. Well, last year her movie we didn't enjoy as much either. This movie does seem to have... It's a lot... Wait for it. It has a lot... Riley and Miley. Riley, hang on. It has a lot depending on the table. Yeah. That table better be pretty good. And it's a lot of waiting around to see if the weather's going to clear and if the friends are going to be able to make it. And she'll be fun, I hope. Usually, she's a good time. But the story just isn't catching me. You know?
[00:21:41] So, Who's Coming for Christmas is going to be, in no particular order, in my bottom three that I'm excited about. This is your lowest ranked movie in the preview episode, Bran. That's your lowest ranked movie in the preview episode. It's probably... Do we know the lowest overall? We could figure that out. The lowest overall for everybody. This has to be in the mix. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This has got 10.5 total for all six of us. So, that's pretty low. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, I also don't want to do this. Of course you don't.
[00:22:11] This one actually does hurt me to do this. I just... I'll explain it. Thanks. My first one is Holiday Unplugged. It is... Oh, wow. It's the Nicky Deloach movie. And I want to explain why. You're not holding back. And I'm not holding back. You're not. And I want to explain it by reading this first sentence of the synopsis. Sally, an art teacher, has spent the last 10 years honoring the memory of her late husband.
[00:22:42] Stop killing Nicky Deloach's loved ones. Fair. Let her be fun. Let her be zany. Let her do something silly. Please. I know she's amazing at it. That's why they keep doing it. Because she's phenomenal at it. And I got to be honest. I have no doubts that this movie is probably going to be good. And probably is going to make me shed a tear.
[00:23:09] I just want to see my dear friend Nicky Deloach do something silly. And Hallmark refuses to let her. She's so funny. She's so fun. Let her be silly. Stop killing her family. Stop it. Stop doing it. In the preview episode, Brain gave this four and a cream. And I stand by it. I think this movie is going to be good.
[00:23:38] It might be one of my favorites of the year at the end of the season. But if you're talking about... He contains multitudes. Yes, because guys, I'm all working on a freaking different level than you guys. You guys... You're out there hanging out the Rilo. He backed up by Lauren Droge. Yeah. He backed up. The light bag was still red there. Here's the thing. I believe that this movie will be good. That is why I gave it that preview. You gave it six. But I, at the same time... Off the charts.
[00:24:07] At the same time, I can not look forward to it. Because it's going to make me sad. Brain in a short sleeve shirt doing this. Guys, it's like when I saw the trailer for Manchester by the Sea. I wasn't like, giddy up, cowboy. I said, that movie is going to be great. And it was. But I didn't look forward to it. I don't want to see Nikki go through another loss. I don't want to see it. It's going to be an amazing movie. Because it's Nikki Delo. She only knows how to deliver. I love this so much.
[00:24:36] She only knows how to deliver. I am between a rocks and a... I'm between a rocks. You're in a rock? I'm between a rocks. Yeah. Yeah. He backed up. That's so unsafe. It's unsafe. Luckily, we recorded this show so early. Yeah. The traffic is so light. Yeah. Yeah. My first one in no particular war, obviously, comes out this weekend. It's Mr. and Mrs. Christmas. Oh. Brendan Penny. Pascal Hutton.
[00:25:04] Guys, this is about planning an event, first of all. Second of all, I don't know if these two leads are really made to work together. I don't know. It doesn't seem like a great pairing. I love them both. We've got a beardless, glasses-less Brendan Penny here. And at the end of the day, it's an event planning movie. And I just have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to hate it. Oh, no. So I hope I'm wrong. Hey, I hope I'm wrong.
[00:25:35] But this doesn't sound like it's going to be my thing. And also, the Sunday night of the first weekend, last year's Christmas Angel match, if you remember with Megan Ori and Ben Ayers. I do. One of the worst of the year. Bottom three. It was. But this one, too. Also, he sounds like he shows up the week before Christmas to do all the town decorating. Yeah. Which is uphill. But that's uphill. Just call me crazy. I think I'm going to hate it. Oh, no. So that's where I am. Sorry. Fair enough. All right. Bry guy, no particular order.
[00:26:05] What else you got? Just throwing him out there. This one stood out to me again that I wasn't super psyched about. It's our holiday playbook. The Taylor Cole, Charles Michael Davis. Oh, yeah. Who's that? Ryan Popola calling you up to yell at you? Yeah, I know. I'm going to hear it. I'm going to get an earful from him. But, I mean, it's just. Rightfully so. Yeah, I know. I know. I hope it's good. But just flag football just isn't doing it for me for some reason. It just doesn't bring out the festiveness of the holiday for me. And so, I don't know. I hope that it's fun and lighthearted.
[00:26:33] But I just get the feeling we're just going to get a lot of standing around. Because somebody's getting injured. So, there probably won't even be that much flag football, to be honest. No. So, I don't know. I'm a little down on it, I would say. I gave this zero. So, I feel good about that pick. Good company. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My next one. Listen, I'm doing these in my own way. Of course. Because this is one that, on paper, I should love. Probably do if you could check the number. Yeah, I will as soon as he says it. Hearts all aglow.
[00:27:03] Okay? Hearts all aglow. This is Michelle Morgan, BJ Britt, Holly Robinson Beat. I'm really excited about the return of Holly Robinson Beat. I'm really excited about a movie that explores music history. And there's a Nat King Cole element in it. I have a sneaky suspicion. A sneaky suspicion. That this movie's going to be boring.
[00:27:28] It's just something that's calling out to me that I think that this one, unfortunately, is going to be a snooze fest. And the fact that it is about music and Nat King Cole, it's going to make me even more angry that it is boring. And so, I'm not looking forward to that. I'm not looking forward to getting to December 18th and getting frustrated that this movie is boring. And so, that's why I'm putting it on this list. What did I... Three and a half. Okay. Okay. It's pretty low. Pretty low. You only had like four below it.
[00:27:58] Yeah. One, two, and a bunch of threes. That's it. All right. Very good. Oh, man. Oh, come on. Boo. Boo. Have you seen the cover of this movie? Yeah. It looks so fun. So, here's what I'd say. Every year, not every year, but most years, Hallmark has one movie that sounds and looks out of the box that is so in the box and boring. It is Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater. It is Santa's Steak Out. It is these movies that sound... I mean, look at those.
[00:28:27] It sounds like it's going to be a big swing, but they spend a lot of time on the name and the poster and nothing else. That is my worry here. This movie does not sound like it's going to be very good at all. I'm very concerned about this movie. Second weekend. First movie of the second weekend. Friday Night Boy? Franco Lopresti, Ashley Newbro, both more than capable, but a little worried. A little worried. That's all I'm saying. A little worried. You think they're going to bowl?
[00:28:57] I think they're going to bowl. Yeah. I gave it zero, so there's that. You do hate bowl. You guys both gave it creams. Yeah. Heck yeah. Four and a cream, three and a cream. Hence our response when you said it. Yeah, yeah, double cream. I think that you're letting what happens at Wade Hampton Lanes bring you down. Listen, you shouldn't have clowns in a bowling alley. There's no reason. That's terrifying. It's terrifying for everyone involved. You're letting that affect what is probably going to be a really great movie.
[00:29:26] I did request the Macarena, and I know I requested it, but when that clown starts doing that, I mean, it's not okay, Brian, and you know that. I just think you're letting- That has nothing to do with this rating. You're letting your- I can't believe you brought it up. You're letting your history. No. You're letting your history. He's a history teacher. Yeah. That's true. I guess we can't be surprised when he does this. So stupid. All right, let's get to our final one. Sure. Our final one. In no particular order. In no particular order. Of course. Which one?
[00:29:55] What do you got, Brian Guy, that you're not looking forward to? Well, I've never been and never will be a Disney boy. Okay. I'm not a Disney person. I got you. You're going to do the Lacey Chabert Disney movie in your bottom three. Holiday Ever After. Yep. Wow. That's the movie. Wow. And it is the- God! It is the Disney- What's wrong with it? World wish come true. Dude, this is set up for Brian to come in, love the movie, and go to Disney World. It's like it's its own movie. If I go, I'll never be able to tell anybody because of this. Yeah.
[00:30:25] I just- I'm not- It doesn't do it for me. A Disney- Whatever. I don't know. I'm sure the movie will be fun, but I just- I fear there'll be so much for- And Alonzo alluded to this. He's like, this script probably went through so many revisions and eyeballs. I was like, it's probably going to be so much squeezed into this that it won't be as fun as it could be if there weren't pressures of people having their hands in it. So, I don't know. It just does- When something's so big, I'm like, eh, it's probably overblown and overrated. So, I'm not really looking forward to it all that much.
[00:30:54] I feel like this movie has safely zero chance of being in the top or bottom five. Sure. You know what I mean? I just don't think- Yeah. I think because of all the reasons you mentioned, it can't be one of the best of the season. Yeah. But also, there's enough there and how much money is spent that it really can't be in the bottom, right? Right. It'll probably be fun. But disappointment? Okay. Fair enough. Yeah. I am going with Thanksgiving Night movie. Oh, my word. Whoa.
[00:31:22] Christmas Delivered starring Autumn Racer and Wes Brown. Oh, just two heavy hitters on Thanksgiving Night. Just two heavy hitters. Listen to what I'm saying. I think that's exactly what Hallmark was thinking. I think Hallmark had a stinker on their hands with this movie about a Christmas tree delivery app called Tree Ben. Don't call it that. And I think it's going to be a mess. Yeah.
[00:31:50] And I think they said, but it's Autumn Racer and Wes Brown. What about Thanksgiving Night? It seems like a prime time, but when it comes to that weekend is probably the worst slot of the week. And so why the heck not? We'll say we got Autumn Racer and Wes Brown kicking things off on Thanksgiving Night, but it's a real stinker. I think that might be what happens here.
[00:32:17] The synopsis mixed with the placement of this movie, red flags all aglow for me. That's why I have it on this list. I hope I'm wrong. I hope that I love this movie. It could be really fun and silly and funny. I just don't know. I don't know. That's what I got. I'm sorry. I was reminded by Megan Vollmer in the chat that the Disney movie has Richard Kind in it. Oh, I forgot about that. You lost the plot. What is wrong with you? You've lost the plot here.
[00:32:46] I can't imagine that being in anyone's bottom three. What are you doing? Find out. I'm with you, though. He'll be the best part of the movie. I think that movie could be real bad. The Christmas Delivered? For sure. It's also what a bad... It's a really bad title. I bet you someone's not even going to lose the liver. It's going to be crazy. That's the thing I'm most mad about is that movie from 2018, which is... Miracle of Christmas. Miracle of Christmas. Or Once Upon a Christmas Miracle. Dan Coyne Christmas Delivered because of the synopsis of that movie.
[00:33:16] And it has stuck with me. That's how I remember that movie. I can't remember that title for the life of me. I remember Christmas Delivered. And that's... Is that tea time? Is that... Who's in that movie? That's tea time. Yeah. That's tea time. I am. That's tea time. You know what would be a fun exercise, Dan? What's that? Who would be a fun exercise, Brandon? Amy T. Garden and Brett Dalton. Oh, wow. Old Dalton. Who's Brett Dalton? Is in year 10. So we're doing holiday movies that...
[00:33:46] Christmas movies, Hallmark Christmas movies that we haven't seen next year. Yeah. 2027. Gonna be a lot of fun. 2028. What if we looked... What if we did the 2020... I'm sorry. 2018 Christmas movies again. All 40 of them? All 37 or whatever? And see if our... If anything's changed. All of them? Yeah. Oh, no. Remember? Do you remember the concert? How we had that idea where... What if like...
[00:34:11] Deck the Hallmark revisited all episodes and we just read the transcripts of the episodes and tried it like just verbatim. Oh, my goodness. Yeah. Just reread the transcript. I think that's quite an undertaking. We do all the movies? We don't do it. We do it. I mean, we have... 52 weeks a year. We have 52 weeks a year. I don't know. Maybe we don't do all of them. All right. It's an idea. Yeah. It's an idea. Have me watch those movies again. Damn. And I think comparing the... No, that's true. We'd have a lot more context. Oh, way more.
[00:34:39] Like I will say, some of those early movies it was definitely harder on knowing what I know now. Some of them might get worse though. Definitely. Possibly. Yeah. You should use your book as a reference. I'll be on for Christmas. That I think might be sneaky better than we remember it is Majestic Christmas where they redo the old movie theater. I bet you that movie is probably better than we recall. That's a way to find out. Anyway. Any whom. Any whom. Put a pin in that. All right.
[00:35:09] Our final one. The final one. Final one. Dan, which movie are you... Again, no particular order, but which one are you least looking forward to? Yeah, no particular order, obviously. And I hate to do this. It's Noel Nomads. Wow. Boy. Somebody had to do it. Listen, I love Ben Ayers. Yes. They are going to Hawaii, but get sidetracked in their camper. Yeah. The Winnie. I don't know, man. It just doesn't make any sense. Those two together, like pick one of those. We're off to Hawaii.
[00:35:38] Oh no, the camper's... Stuck. Stuck. Why were you in a camper going to Hawaii? Right. None of us know. I'm a little concerned. I also do not trust Hallmark with a road trip movie. So for those two reasons, apparently this is inspired by Holland Roden's real life travels as a kid. Oh, that's cool. So, you know, go get them, everybody. It's a pass for me. Yeah, I just don't know how Hawaii fits into the synopsis. Yeah, me either. It's a very confusing part of it.
