[00:04:26] As I was watching this movie Yeah you were You know Cowboying is hard work You're out there You're on the fields You are You're on the fields You're out on the fields You're in the grass You are working with horses And sometimes You have to plant your own grass I wanted to get an update Brian Guy On your grass situation Because I've also I've been thinking about grass Have you? My backyard is in need of some sort of grass Yeah

[00:04:54] Dan you can attest to this It is Mine is too It's a bit of a mess And I'm trying to figure out Too much shade out there Too much shade Oh yeah Tough And then too many dogs It was dirt It was dirt A lot of dirt before we even moved in So I'd like to do something It's tough Maybe Maybe it's seed Maybe Yeah It's been It's tough It is hard work out there On the fields Yes With the grass I know

[00:05:24] That's why There are parts of my grass That have come in real nice Okay There are parts That have come in real nice Parts of it look really great I would Yeah I would guess That's the parts that are in the sun The sun helps The sun helps But also the shade Once you get it wet And it has a chance to stay wet You don't want the sun just drying up No No Good combo is great I mean you've seen it recently And nothing stood out that looked terrible Nothing stood out that looked terrible But there are parts Where there's giant weeds Were you going to say Because I didn't say anything? Yeah

[00:05:54] Because you didn't say anything about it So obviously it's fine It's fine It's fine It's fine I recently pulled out a giant weed That was killing a lot of grass around it And I just went out there Ripped it out Put down some seed Threw some dirt Water it all the time And now it's grown full in Wow I'm like look at this Look at you Look what I did Doing work Landscaping From throwing the seeds out To a healthy I'd say two weeks Okay You gotta keep your dogs off it Yeah right Keep people off it I'm gonna do it in sections That's the smart thing

[00:07:22] Of the movie Let's talk it Let's talk it Let's talk it Let's talk it Texas Two Step Originally aired on June 13th 2025 And it went a little something Like this Olivia works as a Photographer's assistant She's like the producer Of the shoots And she's being very helpful She's taking a week off though But that week off Takes a bit of a detour Because she gets a call That her Aunt Ruby Could use a visit From her

[00:07:52] Olivia So off to Texas She goes Well off to the small town Of wherever it is With her best friend June June is Gonna join her And she's gonna go by Junebug Okay It's Junebug Hey Junebug Junebug Get on in here Junebug Junebug Juniperbug Juniper Lee Juniperbug Juniperbug They Lasting Bug Yeah Bug family They're really good people They get to The Sweetwater Which is

[00:08:21] Ruby's Honky Tonk Honky Tonk And Aunt Ruby shows up Aunt Ruby Immediately asks If she has seen Luke June is like Well who is this Luke And Olivia Just wants to move on Olivia can tell That there's something Going on With Aunt Ruby And just then Luke Walks in And he immediately Comes over Starts giving Olivia A hard time About not being out On the dance floor She's not having it From this guy The next morning It doesn't take long

[00:08:50] For Luke to show up To Aunt Ruby's House And start fixing The fence That she's been Asking him To fix For a while It's very Interesting That he showed up This day Of all the days Looks like he doesn't Actually want to help out Also shows off His ridiculous body That's just something That I noticed And thought you At home Would also Like to notice Olivia Finds out That there's an offer To buy Sweetwaters And Aunt Ruby Isn't interested No one's gonna Buy this place

[00:09:20] From me We get a Beloved story folks We got Olivia Who is actively Trying to set Junebug Up with Mayor Mason Who also is The town veterinary He tells Junebug How Sweetwaters Is really Struggling Financially Luke shows up And just starts Working on Olivia's Car without asking What is this Guy's deal Olivia bumps Into Brian Who is the one Making the offer To buy Sweetwaters They actually went To school together Back in the day

[00:09:50] And I gotta be honest It's not hard to look At either And he asks her To go out to lunch And she agrees Listen We're not here To just talk business I just wanna Catch up Get to know Each other a bit Okay We finally find out That Olivia and Luke They were young Folks And they were Each other's First everything That you can do On Hallmark First kiss First everything First dance First heartbreak Sarsaparilla

[00:10:19] First asparilla All that stuff That's the next First second base The first stop There though Is my understanding Bad news guys And then she broke up With him And then he quickly Moved on And she's like Well clearly he never Really cared He didn't care about me As much as I cared About him Type of deal Bad news guys Sweetwaters is out of money And they come up With an idea I thought they were Really successful Everybody danced there They come up With an idea Put on a show Put on a show A dance-a-thon Similar to the Max Remember the Max

[00:10:49] Oh heck yeah And so we're all Gonna dance And the dancing Is gonna I don't really know The mechanics They don't spend a lot It's not important But it's not important But they're gonna Have a dance-a-thon And I appreciate that Luke decides to Come over and tell Her some things That he needs To tell her Basically I love you I've always loved you Okay And They are about to kiss But Turns out

[00:11:18] It's an almost kiss Folks Because June Bug Comes out And tells them That Ruby's Had a fall After finding out That Ruby's Gonna be okay At the hospital Olivia finds herself At Sweetwaters Remembering Her and Luke Dancing together As kids Suddenly Present day Luke shows up He shoots his shot They kiss big ones Complete with a lift A lift In this Your Hallmark movie She also says That she's definitely Not selling

[00:11:48] Sweetwater She's keeping it baby The marathon Is a hit As our marathon Will be in October Of course The early reviews Are in We sent screeners Out that early We did For the full 26 hours We did The marathon is a hit And Luke and Olivia Dance Do we have any clips? No Dance a big dance And kiss big ones And Sweetwaters Survives And now my friends Was The Texas Two Step We did it We did do it

We're gonna do it With four segments We're gonna start with A hot take So we share exactly How we felt about this movie I'm gonna kick it over To my favorite cowboy The grass grower himself The grass grower himself Brian Brian What did you think About Texas Two Step? Yeah I really like this movie Big fan I just

[00:13:16] It's almost like this There's a ceiling and a floor And you knew It was really good Yeah thanks You just knew that There was a certain level This was gonna be What? Fully delivered There's a ceiling and a floor For everything Right What do you mean? I think what I'm trying to say The floor was High High And that was What was important The ceiling was So you knew even if it was bad It was good Right I think that's exactly right Got it Yeah They It's almost like They didn't have to go this hard Either Like they had Heather Hammond's Brennan Penny The chemistry was really great

[00:13:46] It was a fun vibe The bar was awesome I loved being inside that bar It just looked so cool The country music was really good They didn't have to Throw so much into this movie That was good But they did And it was done really well Like I had a really good time With this movie So I think that It exceeded my expectations Blew the ceiling And the roof off For me So both the ceiling And the roof Yeah Holy moly What a time Call the architect Yeah Ceiling's going

[00:14:15] Roof's caught And her friend In the movie June Bug June Bug Kayla Zander Her name I can't wait to see her In a leading role Because she was a standout star Delightful Yeah absolutely June Bug Really really good time for me Yeah this movie's a reminder to me That These movies Must be harder to make Than it seems Because This movie's great And it's not like Any groundbreaking story

[00:14:45] Or anything that we haven't seen before It comes down to Quality actors And Heck of good chemistry Heck of good And we have those things in this And it just makes this movie Very enjoyable As somebody who enjoys these movies This is like This is what we're looking for I just want to see Two good looking people Have crazy chemistry Kiss And perhaps If the good lord allows A lift or two A lift or two Is that too much to ask? There's two in this movie actually Yeah I think like this movie

[00:15:14] Again It's Not doing anything Groundbreaking But it is really good And it's like Well why can't Every Hallmark movie Do this? Why can't every movie Give me these type of feels And I have to imagine It is because Not every movie Is able to Be made by People that are Doing great work And I'm not just saying that Because we interviewed The director of the movie Across the board Like you said The actors are giving Great performances

[00:15:43] The chemistry is nuts Which is just something That sometimes works And sometimes it doesn't work And happen to work With these two leads And so Yeah It's you know It's a silly movie I don't know how The dance-a-thon Saved Sweetwaters It doesn't I don't really know What the deal was With Sweetwaters But it works And did the movie Take place in Texas? Lord no But it works And so This movie I loved it And it gave me Just a reminder Of oh yeah This

[00:16:13] Some of these movies Can really rise to the top And it's just as simple As do the two leads Are you rooting for them? And I was rooting For these two Really like this movie Dan-O? Yeah So let's get the negative Out of the way first Bran said it already But he said it Like it didn't matter And for me It does matter Let's put on a show Is always going to lose me In these movies And this movie Doesn't have a Texas bone In its body It doesn't And I think Trying to be Texan Is the big mistake Of the movie

[00:16:43] Why can't this be On One of the millions Of miles Of countryside In Canada I guess it's because They want to rope Americans in And because of that We have folks Drifting in and out Of accent We have folks Not trying accent We have folks Trying hard And succeeding With an accent And because of that It just never Feels very authentic Having said All of that If you think A director Doesn't make a difference In a Hallmark movie You need to watch Texas 2-step I know we interviewed her And I know she's A friend of the show

[00:17:12] But what she's doing Is making a movie At a level That Hallmark Doesn't make movies at She's not going to be On Hallmark long If she makes movies Like this Because She has 5 or 6 shots In this movie That are Excellent Like When Heather Hemmings The power goes out And Heather Hemmings Is caught And she's holding The hand of both Of the leads Or both of the love Interest Possible love interest And you can just Hear a breath And she shows you

[00:17:41] The shot with light In the backdrop What she's doing With light in this movie Even in the hospital Where she has 2 folks On the side of this Giant light in the middle Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice-esque Is what she's doing here She is shooting a movie That doesn't belong On Hallmark And it's excellent Her What she does Is excellent work Brendan Penny And Heather Hemmings Their chemistry Phenomenal They are Just Undeniable As far as

[00:18:11] 2 romantic leads Of a Hallmark movie And they're excellent And I also agree with you What was her name I want to make sure She gets a shout out Caitlin Zander I would like to see More of her In the future I think This is gonna People are gonna Like this But my big issue Is that If you wanted To pull off A Texas movie Like this And have us Have a chance At Texas credibility People aren't gonna Like this But remember I said all those Great things Brendan Penny Was not the guy For this His chemistry Is great With Heather Hemmings But

[00:18:41] Marcus Rosner A Chris Palaha A Tyler Hines Even With the toothpick And the hat And the low Gravely voice I think I think there's Four or five Hallmark stars That I think Really would've Made this movie Next next level And so That was a little From a Texas perspective From a Texas perspective I think his chemistry With Heather Hemmings Is off the chart And I love Brendan Penny But you lose The movie's called Texas Two Step It never for a second Feels like you're in Texas Even when you're in that

[00:19:10] In that honky tonk They lose you really quick But it's still Of the I'm trying to think I'm pretty sure It's the best one We've watched this year Like the subway one With Aaron O'Connell Maybe It's up there I think There's too much Artistry on display here The movie is not Texas And let's put on a show To save the place Is I hate it But the artistry here Is undeniable Right Like how it's directed How music is used How the chemistry Of the two leads

[00:19:40] You know Takes place And unfolds Over the course Of the movie The tension That they build You don't I think It's harder To make these Than I think you're right I think it's just Harder to do that Than I think people realize It's harder to just put All this together And in 15 days Have this lightning In a bottle chemistry With this level Of artwork Artistry and direction So kudos to them On that front Yeah and that's where You and I differ Dan You can tell me The movie takes place Anywhere you want to As long as there's a lift If there's a lift

[00:20:09] Two lifts And I don't think That I'm right And you're wrong I think it's just A matter of Just what you're looking For in one of these movies And so I think there's If you tell me They're going to make A movie called Texas Two Step About Texas line dancing In Canada This is about As good as we could Hope for Right Sure With this budget Yeah But it isn't Like I just You know And keep that in mind When you're thinking About the Bad Bunny thing Like if you end Bad Bunny with a lift I'll be like Well he nailed it

[00:20:39] He nailed it Right He nailed it So think about that I don't really know What to do with that But just think about that Correct You can do anything As long as there's a lift Let's get to the feels That's where we talk about What in this movie Gave us feels Let's start with you Rugby Yeah two quick ones here Number one Heather's character Olivia drove A jeep Wrangler And thankfully There were no ducks Not a duck To be found Duck on that windshield Then I appreciate That throwback Yeah To a better time Yeah I would say better time Different time Do you think you did The wave though In tech I wonder if they do that

[00:21:09] In Texas They might feel like We don't need to do that In Texas I don't know I didn't We didn't see a wave If you are a jeep owner In Texas Yeah Do you do the wave Do you do the wave Do you do the duck Or any of the other stupid things Or are you just too cool for it Because you're in Texas Right Too busy drinking soda The other one I had was A lot of soda Soda gets a lot of play In this movie A word probably not said In Texas But they say it a lot here What do you think They call it a pop It's a coke It's just a coke The other one was As if I need another reason To be a big penhead

[00:21:39] Brandon Penny In real life Adopted the dog From this movie Of course he did What Above and beyond You didn't hear this story No Above and beyond Greta is the name of that dog The dog that is in the movie That she adopted Brought it all the way home From Texas What a guy He was up for adoption And he adopted a dog And brought it home with him Wow That's a cute dog too He's a big animal guy His family's big animal people So that was just I heard that story I was just like That is awesome So really good Really good to hear that I mean I don't think I have to talk About the lift again So I won't

[00:22:09] Tell me You've only talked about it Six times So I'll pivot in this direction Sometimes you know We don't get like A shirt off scene In Hallmark Very often It's happened occasionally We've seen some of these Hallmark hunks Out there shirt offs And we're like That's fun right I don't know if there has to be Like a special approval To get shirt off I don't think these days I don't know really But what I liked here Is we don't get shirt off Brendan Penny We got Brendan Penny Showing off his abs Wiping the sweat

[00:22:39] Off his brow With his shirt And that's a way To do it right there It's a quick little Uh oh These These These packs Of six that I have It was It was nice Is what I'm saying It was a nice job By By them That's a way To get around it If there is some sort of Shirt off approval process Right Hey He was just wiping The sweat off his brow You You You You folks out there That are getting mad

[00:25:07] They have mastered in Texas Because Eating street tacos While driving Are you kidding me right now That's tough Just if you get a street taco Just eat real quick They're tiny Yeah Yeah Holy cow I couldn't believe it Wouldn't shock you guys To know that I've eaten Tacos in the car Wouldn't shock me a bit Because probably you just have Beef and cheese on that bad boy And nothing else That's true That's different You're not eating a taco No You're eating a cheeseburger Deconstructed I appreciate that Thank you Probably easier than a cheeseburger Honestly You can fold it up I appreciate that Fold it up like a slice of pie You're good to go There's a method to the madness You're eating cheeseburger pizza

What's going on? It was just a weird move Where it's like She clearly saw all this mail Like why Yeah Why are we not

So I thought they were setting up Like you talk about How everybody goes to this club to dance And it's the best band And best music Yeah And then somehow They're not paying the bills I thought we were setting up Some sort of mental health crisis With Aunt Ruby Right It could have Like the way they explained it Yeah It was so weird Yeah Normally in these movies It's so very overt You see the giant stamp Overdue You see the person go We haven't had people come in of late And we blah blah blah And in this You never really get that Well it's Texas

[00:28:30] That doesn't happen in Texas No No No They would have already evicted her Probably The last one There was a giant tortoise On the counter in the vet At one point And just What's ailing that 300 year old animal Save that for what the home Okay I'm going to take that back Save that one This isn't live right No This is pre-recorded No And the other reviews are great That's what I'm hearing Awesome I got a couple One Mayor Mason Who's also the veterinarian Thank you for your service Calls

[00:33:28] And there are no sounds Go to one vet's office If you don't hear a pet sound somewhere I would maybe be scared I would be scared That you're not in the right place They're fixing animals Who don't know They need to be fixed Guys If this vet Was like No one was in it Aside from him And this dog Who was sitting And a turtle Just sitting Waiting to be treated Like it was no big deal Wait till he finds out How his temperature gets taken
