Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTH

[00:00:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Hi, I'm Brandon. I love

[00:00:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Brian I like this I'm doing also like this

[00:00:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And this is it

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Hello everybody welcome to deck the hallmark presents

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_04]: This list presents the big three that's exactly right as you can see behind us. We have our set all

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_04]: For the dis list we're giving you a dis list. We're not going to utilize it today though

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_04]: You just wanted to remind people that those episodes are out there and more dis list will be coming

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe in the new year maybe in the new year

[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_04]: All right, today we're doing something called the big three now those that have signed up for bramble jam plus

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_04]: know all about the big three but those who have never

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Experienced it. This is a little teaser of what you can expect occasionally

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Within at least one able jam plus right things like this things like this fun stuff

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_04]: We get to know us pull back the curtain. Who are these boys and gal? Who are they?

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_04]: What are they into what kind of stuff are they up to and they're extra corrects?

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_04]: So

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_04]: What we're gonna do today where I've all brought three

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Things that we are into right now. They could be

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_04]: news sports entertainment based

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Um an app a podcast a book a movie a song a sweater a sweater food that we mentioned food snack

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a ton of stuff one time brahari because parmesan cheese sprinkled which I come back to and you had just discovered them

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you did know that was only in that green. How long we've been doing this show

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_03]: It's fresh graded parmesan was new to brand in 2019. That's right. That's right

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a simpler time before cove so maybe you'll learn about something and you'll be like, oh my gosh

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I want to listen to that or check that out or eat the parmesan cheese. And it comes in a jar like that

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Um, and so that's what we're doing here and you get to know a lot about us as humans

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_04]: And then make judgments. Yeah, judging hard accordingly. Um, right. Let's start with you. Yeah, man

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'd love to go first. All right, Brian. Thank you. Thanks everybody. Yeah all three right?

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd say all three we're gonna do one at a time and this is in no particular order of

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Things that you know how important there are to popular belief and background of the dis list not in any order

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Not in your yeah, not any order. Yeah, but this one actually I would put this one if I were ranking them in order

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_02]: This is a good one for me. Uh, this last within the last week. This is a book that I just discovered

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I hope it's not the book you brought

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It isn't no you told me about this. I've not read it yet

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, can we move the balloon here?

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_02]: The balloon uh, cord

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_02]: We are still celebrating uh

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Jacqueline Hyde

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh man

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a full vlog to figure out what that was. I thought the tv broke

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Anyway

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's a book it's by daniel stern. Oh, yeah

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Home Alone fame

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_02]: It so he wrote a book called home and alone next up in the quiet

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Quit uh, so he wrote a book called home alone

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: He very much is not doing a ton of press on this. It was I ran. I forget even how I learned about it

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_02]: And so immediately downloaded this book from my local library. He though. He's the voice of the wonder years

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_02]: That's how yeah, he is the

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Generation. Yeah, he he reads his book come on

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, I'm I'm always looking for reasons to get back into the wonder years

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I just love watching the wonder years to hear his voice

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_02]: So the fact that he's he's reading his book. I it doesn't matter what it's about. I just want to listen to

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_02]: It's about his life. It's a memoir. Yeah, so he can give it all the money to charity all the money goes to the boys and girls club

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_02]: He started in um malibu

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah him and his wife the boys and girls

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, but it's affiliated with the boys and girls club

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_02]: But he he came up with a place for kids to go

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_02]: In malibu and so it's all about his life becoming an actor the movies he's been in

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_02]: The roles what they're like who he's met

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_02]: And his just trajectory through the career in film and out of it. He has a big life out of film

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_02]: You don't see a lot of him

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_02]: So really great great basically quit movies to start an avocado farm. Yeah, he just he has a farm

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_01]: He just works on his farm

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah drives his atv around has grandkids and he's just living the life makes a lot of art sculptures

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And so great great book for anybody who's a fan of anything he's done because he talks a lot about the movies

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Art compared to george dubbys

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a good question. I don't know. Okay, you know, you gotta go check out the art for your it's all subjective as well

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So I don't want to put any idea we learned that just now

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_02]: That's my number two

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_02]: So that's uh, that's my one of my big three. Wow. That's really good. He does sculptures

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_02]: They look really impressive stern. Look at that. Oh, yeah, he does commission. Wow. That's great

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_02]: He does commissions for cities and in uh better better than george dubbys. How about that? Oh my goodness

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, uh, subjectively so check out his art as well

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. Yeah, absolutely. Uh dan

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I've got uh a book a tv show and a movie for you

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna go with the tv show first because it is the thing that I have that is most recent in my mind

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_03]: It is apple tv's bad monkey

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Starring vince von. This is like a modern day noir

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Detective story. It's got vince von. It's got michelle monaghan. It's got a lot of fun actors

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_03]: In this particular show. It's also produced by bill lorenz who did ted lasso who did scrubs who did shrinking who did cougar town

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_03]: It's funny, but also like a really great labyrinthine story

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: You've got two different

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: The story starts with people on a boat and they find uh, they're fishing and they pull out of the water

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_03]: A forearm just a forearm with a hand with the middle finger up on the hand. That is how it starts

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was mine my bad. We don't know where it came from

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_03]: We don't know who's it is and vince von plays a detective that currently has lost his badge because someone

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Is suing him for something that he did we don't know what it is. We don't know anything else

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_03]: so

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He basically starts to investigate this even though he doesn't have the legal authority to do so

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But he's going crazy at home not being able to investigate

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It is and then we also it connects to a story

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It's in the keys flora keys it connects to a story in the bahamas that you think is separate

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And by the middle of the first episode you're going to realize these two things are going to start to connect together

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It's great. We're two episodes in the next episode comes out as of recording this tomorrow

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I cannot wait

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Just very very excited about this show having a blast. I love most everything bill lorenz does big huge fan of scrubs

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Huge fan of shrinking big fan of cougar town not huge but big fan of cougar town big fan of ted lasso

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Like this is my wheelhouse show. It's it's the best use of vince von. I've seen

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe ever because it's not just full go you said since friend class

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_02]: You quote he said and quote me on this and quote me also not for kids

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I would say that definitely like plenty of language and violence and stuff

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_02]: So don't what do you think about the um back to the new episode drops weekly or you know, well last night

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_03]: My wife despises watching television weekly. She just wants to binge everything

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like hey, I want to watch this new show and I didn't tell her that all the episodes were now

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_03]: So I wasn't sure she doesn't really care one way or the other about vince von

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't sure she'd be in or not after the second episode

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, all right. Well, I guess we can watch the next one in a couple days. Yeah, she was

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Floored yeah that all the episodes were not out yet. I like the single drop, but I'm you know, you and I are in our 40s

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Brie. Yeah, we are used to

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I've had way more time doing episodic

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Weekly than I do binge watching so for me

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I prefer it because I can watch multiple shows at once. Yeah instead of getting invested in one world

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_02]: This is what i'm realizing too. I enjoy I like if they drop one and two and then you got to wait every week

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I like that a lot because yeah gives you time for other stuff. Yes, you process it

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you can introduce other people to the way you should watch tv in my opinion

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I know that makes us old, but that's the way we should

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I think all this always better. Yeah, I've come around. I've come around

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I've come all the way back around to where I like it

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Um, because I feel like it makes it seem like less time in between seasons of things

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, even though it's not like yeah, if they like if they look stranger things

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_04]: If they are looking at you buddy things weekly not that it like there still would have been an

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Ungodly amount of time in between some of the seasons, but it wouldn't have seemed like it when you do these massive drops

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's just like you know think about like lost the end of season one of loss has a massive

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_03]: massive cliffhanger like you use constipated the whole time

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that is a twist and it's and that's in season four when the riders went off the rail

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_03]: They had a whole constipation storyline and that was the whole thing

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_03]: If that was just a sell ads though, you are like

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Part of that season is the hatch and then they at the last camera shot

[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_03]: You're like how is this over and if you think man, how did you wait a whole year for that?

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we didn't that episode aired in may new episodes aired probably late august early september

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Three and a half months off like that's it. So that's a lot because it goes and there's like a break

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah holidays

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: New episodes and you don't get new episodes for a while like they stretch

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_03]: 23 episodes out over the course of august september october november december january february 31 days has you know, you know

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_03]: So I like the

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I like i'll say this i'm not a big 23 episodes in a season fan. I like 12 episodes 10 episodes weekly

[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_04]: That's my go-to. Okay. It's my wheelhouse. All right great. My number one is 10 to 8 episodes seasons

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, so thanks for stealing it. No, I have a podcast for those that listen to the alert

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, it's a podcast called betrayal decom descendant. It's a podcast called betrayal and betrayal

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Betrayal has done morning

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Guys i'm i'm i'm a

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Revolutionizing podcast and you guys can be jelly if you want to can't help it man, but there is no one quite like me out there

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Do with that what you will uh podcast is called betrayal

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Betrayal has a couple of long seasons

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_04]: But they recently

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Lawns betrayal weekly which tells

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_04]: shorter

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Betrayals that can be told over a week or two

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like you with the the the mountain the king the magic mountain. It's like me with the magic mountain

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_04]: That's exactly right. That's a short way. It's like me with the magic mountain. That's very short. Yes easy

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, but don't need all season for that you and I on the magic mountain

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a full season long long boy because that's a whole that's a whole story

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_04]: You need to interview everybody and do you do diligence? I didn't know you love at that time

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know you love cotton candy. I had no idea there's no way that I could have known that information

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_04]: And how it would come in clutch. That's right

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_04]: um betrayal betrayal

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_04]: If you listen, there's something uh that is for if you're a true crime fan or whatever there is something about the

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Find an out that somebody isn't who that they said that they were yeah

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And uh, there's something about that that is like write more movies like they should write more movies about it

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_04]: But this is real life. I wish more stories had this in it. This is real life

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_04]: This is real life people that have you know

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Pulling the wool over someone's eyes and then uh, oh bad news

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Is there a weekly one where you got a scam twice online?

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, that's so uh

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_04]: That's a fool coming this fall coming this fall

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_04]: But it's even worse than that because I didn't even know that guy and I was hurt

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Imagine if I was married to that guy. What if it turned out imagine if I was married that person and they gave me

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, that's exactly that's a great one. It's a twist. That's a great one. That's exactly it's exactly like that

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I got your 512 dollars and I am off and running. So listen the first time the first episode is

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Shocking it's crazy. It's sad. It's compelling

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's these people and they're they're telling their own stories

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_04]: And so I think the fact that you're hearing from those people

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_04]: It makes it like hey, I'm taking it back

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't call them horses, but they're taking back

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_04]: This awful thing that's happened to them and they're like, you know what? I'm telling this story. I'm not gonna let someone else

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Dictate it. Does this have a TV show too?

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_04]: It does so there's two things that have uh

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_04]: The podcast seasons have been made into docu series on hulu. Yes, exactly right

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_04]: um, but I like the weekly like sometimes the

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel similar about

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Some of these podcast

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Shows that are like

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Eight nine ten episodes in a season and it just didn't need to be that long

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel that way about docu series sometimes too like sometimes they're just too long

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's like why like you could have done this. I really like the weekly format for this. I think it's really great

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_04]: and

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, it's nice. It's it's uh, it's concise like I think each episode is like 25 30 minutes

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_04]: And so easy peasy lemon squeezy

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Really really like it. I think erin's here today erin are you there?

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Erin came what's up

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you're pot. You're uh, yeah, there you go. Yep. You're pod

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_00]: So many so many directions going on

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_00]: My first thing for this month is the book fire and bones by kathy rikes

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a part of the temperance brunnan book series, which is what the tv show bones is based on

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I've seen fire and I've seen

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I really like that book series. She just came out with a new one

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to m judson here in greenville shout out. Kathy was here a couple weeks ago

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I got to go and meet her so how is kathy in person

[00:13:58] Fine I like

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Both thought she had done a lot of meet and greets and also that was her first meet and greet. It was a very weird

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Like she didn't like I think she if you had just let her talk for a couple hours. She could have had stories

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think she really liked the question and answer part of it

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Is she who the bone like the character bones is based on yeah

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so she bones in the show is very much like a q&a or like a meet and greet would be weird with her

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_00]: No, she's I mean bones the character of bones in the books is much different than temperance brunnan on the tv show. There you go

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I yeah, I just think she had she had stories. I mean because she was an anthropologist for years and years and years worked for the

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You know the government

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Worked for big anthropology. Yeah, finally got out of that culto man

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_03]: The things they make you do in the anthropology cult

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Just anthropology

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Did you ask her a question

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you have a question you wanted to ask her? Yeah, she's do you ever ask questions?

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_03]: One time now I didn't know what it was

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I was at this event called christmas con

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh boy

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Was it betrayal about juice? Yeah, that does not count

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Zero q&a how many people went up and asked about the juice

[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a few not including us three others. I think didn't Emily do it

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_02]: You guys did a bit against Andrew on stage at christmas con. Yeah, we did. Oh, that's hilarious

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_03]: He was uh, it was with jessie met calf was there too

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And jesse didn't know what was going on and as you can imagine he was awesome about it

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Andrew like was he playing or is he just like oh funny guys? Yeah, he didn't know how to handle it

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean there's like

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Over a thousand people in the crowd

[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_02]: And we're asking so the second ingredient here uh false faith. That is funny

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I asked about juice con

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Juice that's right. He came from juice con

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Because he was at juice con

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Juice con juice con

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Brand goes wallets the only juice con

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_04]: At the minimum, yeah, uh

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Dan back to you

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Apologies

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Do tom cruise start jumping out of planes. Yeah, yeah back to me. Let's go to my movie

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm debating whether or not it's my favorite movie of the year. It did briefly show up in the cinema, but you can now

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Catch it on streaming. It's called felma

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I've heard about that. Selma is a movie starring june squib june squib

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_03]: She was in a movie called Nebraska. That's great. She's been acting for 70 plus years

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_03]: She is 94 years old in the movie. She plays the titular character 92 year old

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Selma

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Thelma is living by herself her kids and her grandkids all think that she should not be living by herself

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And she gets scammed out of

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_03]: $10,000 and she also happens to have watched mission impossible

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And so she decides not only to prove that she still got it

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_03]: But also because she wants to and she can she's going to go on a heist style adventure

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_03]: To find and reclaim her $10,000. It has richard roundtree who is shaft. It has parker posi

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_03]: From all the christopher guest movies in it

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_03]: it is

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Hysterical it is heartwarming

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It has something to say about people at all stages of life. I laughed. I cried. I loved this movie so so dearly

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I would I would gladly watch it again

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait to watch it at some point with my wife and and and watch the whole thing again

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I adored this movie. I love that. I've not stopped thinking about it

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe my favorite movie of the year really a good time and most people haven't heard of it

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So find it if you don't know what to rent. It's a really good watch. It's very easy breezy funny

[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not super deep. It just is a great time and and really really well done. So check it out and uh and tone

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_02]: No, not a toni. I'm sorry Alonzo was talking to me about this

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, and on his podcast

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_02]: He does a really great review of it and he was just like you got to see thelma if you see one movie

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Go see thelma. Great. So there you go. Alonzo de Raleigh's with me. What about Dave white?

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Did he I'm not listening yet. Was Dave white with me on that? Yeah, yeah

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he liked it. They raved about it. Yeah, we went in but brands thought with me

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_03]: We went in blind. I knew

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Not like I the picture on the poster is her

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Looking like she's speeding in a in like a little scooter and I'm like that's not June squib doing that

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_03]: That's enough for me and I didn't know anything else about it

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And I adored it. Yeah, that sounds great

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_04]: So, um, I think I uh, it was my it was my choice. I think I was like I want to go see thelma

[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, and you tagged along great choice

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_04]: A lot of people a lot of people think that only dan knows things about stuff and sometimes I know things

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes you do. I don't I think this one was my choice actually

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think either one us knew anything and I was like you want to go see thelma

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And then you're like I watched the trailer and I'm in okay, but it could have been yours

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Or whatever you say. Yeah, you've you've dragged me some good movies before. Thank you. You're welcome

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm good at screaming. Yeah, yeah, but typically thelma's thelma's great big fan

[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, and no louise in this one either

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_04]: I think for for thelma louise fans

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously didn't survive that car

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_02]: No

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Brian yeah, my man. Yeah, hey, what's up? My uh, my second firing bones. That's unbelievable

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I was at this q&a and I was like tell me about that juice

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, the my second is a very it's a specific podcast episode. It's um, brand I have to thank you for this

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I know dan stole your your fire there with thelma. You did introduce me to laurence

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and you've been banging the drum on laurence for quite a while

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_02]: How did I steal his ike? Well, he said he it was his idea to go to the movie

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_02]: You said actually it was my idea to go to the movie. Okay shut your pie hole

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_02]: We edited a lot of the edit that you said to him, but yeah, of course we edited it all out

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, of course. I don't know why I had to take your clothes off to make that point. Yeah, you did

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_04]: You know how I talk about it?

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You gotta stop feel lower the temperature

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, so my specific episode it's a rick glasman episode laurence was on the rick glasman podcast

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't uh, take your shoes off. It's called I'll take your shoes off

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And he sets up a keyboard laurence is a duo a brother and sister and they have great songs

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_02]: And rick glasman sets up a keyboard and they go in there and they start talking doing the interview

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And it doesn't take long. I don't know their names. You know, the brothers lied and gracey

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And gracey classic he gets behind the keyboard and the whole episode basically is

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_02]: rick glasman naming songs and laurence just

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Doing them like just playing just gavin de graa

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_02]: They do a broken down version of that thing you do

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Like they are just having a blast and you just get to watch and it is phenomenal. It's so fun

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_02]: If you like music any type of music, I feel like this is a great episode to listen to it

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_02]: It's on youtube and it's his podcast so you can listen to it or watch it

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I recommend watching just because they just rock out the production value is really really good on that

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, yes, a lot of fun. Listen. I love laurence. I think for my money

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_04]: I think they're the the best the best thing out there right now for your money. They're the best thing out there

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Like as far as like new newer bands that are like really really crushing it

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_04]: And they're like and if you don't know if you don't know who they are go on youtube and watch their acoustic versions that they do

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Just

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Just incredible. They are great incredible. Yeah, they'll just jam out on whatever that on whatever so talented

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Whatever you need. Whatever you need jammed on they jam it. They will so good stuff right there

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_02]: It's your favorite type of jam favorite type of jam. Yeah

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Or preserve. Oh you get it. You get it either

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Wow a raspberry

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm feeling generous apricot though. Don't throw jelly

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Apricot preserve. Okay. Okay. Fine jam jelly or preserve. Yeah, does that change at all apricot? Uh preserve

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you I'm sorry what yeah apricot preserve

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I said that and that's what I'm gonna stick with what's wrong with that dan. You're not responding

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I was looking up the text thread on thelma

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_04]: You're not listening though jam all of them are great. No, they're not old. No, he said his favorite is apricot

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know what are you gonna do about that? That's great. You let him include preserves. That's on you

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_03]: You get stuck with jams. His hands would have been tied. Okay, fine

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh preserves are out

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not gonna say grape so don't get that out of your head. That's a jelly anyway

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, raspberry raspberry. Okay. Okay

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. Yeah, go ahead. Great. You looked it up. I looked it up. I did come up with okay

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_03]: But that's okay

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_03]: You said you were in for it though. All right

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Um, it's like a wash to me. Yep. You guys remember uh wordle sure do you guys remember the remember hurdle?

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to talk about it. Oh my gosh rest in peace. So fast. Yeah, that's the biggest. Oh my gosh

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Spotify bought something and ruined it. What are you doing? I couldn't believe it

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Spotify you could offer us all the money in the world. We wouldn't sell to you spotify. That's not true

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's get let's get Spotify big man. Let's let's do that do it come on. He's

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_04]: With a bunch of cash you're too busy buying up companies and ruining them

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_04]: All right, you gotta know

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I was starting a point. I was uh starting a point. And then you're gonna make it jam preserve jelly. That's exactly right

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Uh, and just by the way for my for my marbony. It is grape jelly. Actually come on

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_04]: You asked about jam. Well, but if we're if we are bringing in preserves

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_04]: If we're bringing in preserves like the cinnamon butter that's right cinnamon butter

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm talking about it's not a preserve. It's a butter

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, like what about it like like what I'm learning here is is that this this year's

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Parmesan cheese is preserved

[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_04]: It's actually not even on my life

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Do we even have preserves in the office? What is preserved? We're talking a lot about them that it's been preserved

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Over right over time with like something else in it

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_03]: What about like an apple butter jam with chunks what apple but is that still a butter? I honestly just but that's apple

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_03]: You're making erin sad of it. No, I that is an erin's turn. All right. No, it's not just rebranded

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Apple butter. Oh my god

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I thought preserve was just another type of jelly really honestly if I just can show my cards apple butter is a spread

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Spreadable fruit preserve google says it. I don't trust them. All right guys. I don't have food network

[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know to tell you so that's the wrong definition

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_02]: A sweet food made with preserved and sugar

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Such as maybe you all have been wrong this whole time or marmalade. Oh, what's your let's do marmalades

[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we didn't even throw marmalade in the mix if we're doing marmalade

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_04]: If we're doing marmalade, we'll never leave. I'm going pattington. Yeah, I'll go too. Uh

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Bear

[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_04]: So you guys remember wordle. That's what I was getting. Yeah

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_04]: So wordle was everywhere and then we all kind of gave up on it. I'm going with connections. I'm going with connection

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_04]: You are a love connection. You do so I downloaded the I was like, I haven't played wordle in a while

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_04]: I downloaded the new york times games app. Yeah, because that's kind of where I'm at

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Um

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh

[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I've started doing the mini cross

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_04]: But within it I found connections which I don't know how long it's been around

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_04]: But it's newer ish to me. I've been playing it for you know, maybe four four months now. Um, and I think it is

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Superior in every way to wordle. It's a different obviously. It's just it's a game

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_04]: But I like do you know about this? Yeah, okay. Yeah, I think how long has it been around connections

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_04]: It's been a while for a month. Yeah, I don't know. I think longer than months

[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I've done it one time

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I knew what you were was it too much for you

[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_04]: You could

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I don't want to put the time I I like it. I I like it because I'm really in

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_04]: awe of the game maker the puzzle makers they get a credit at the at the bottom there and sometimes they're really good

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm just very impressed that somebody can think of a way to have multiple categories and sometimes there's an overlap there

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And but that's it's not what you're looking for you're looking for this and I I'm really impressed that there are people out there that

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_04]: That brains work like I can see it and I'll get there eventually

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_04]: But I don't know if I could come up with a connection. It's as good as they got

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_04]: They're great. They're great out there. So um, just like ladies should bear was really good at puzzles

[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_04]: That she was a cross cross work. Yes, she made the crosswords and that's another thing

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_04]: It's really impressive is that all that all that works

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_04]: But I just I don't know. I really I'm really that's the thing

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_04]: I love about it most is being in awe of people being really good at their jobs. There's some fun

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_03]: reels about

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Connections game makers that are really fun that you need to check out. That's not your thing on the internet

[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_03]: but

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Because the thing about connections is three of them always make sense and one of them always feels like the whim of the game maker

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like like things that you never would consider are these things

[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_03]: They have made them these things and so I like when I remember my wife does it every day

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's like do you get connections today? And when I do it I get it

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_03]: But I I always end up with one. I don't know

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the last day don't know how these four go together. Let me see yeah because I end up with just four left

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_04]: the other day was like

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_04]: So four of the seven doors without their final letter and it was like it wasn't that because it was d o was one of them

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and so it's doc without the sea without the final letter of their name

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_04]: And so it was like it was very funny because you're like I don't know how I would have got this

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: What drives me nuts is is sometimes they'll do something that clearly works and it's not the right answer

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Which makes it arbitrary if you do something where one seems like it goes with this

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_03]: That's fun where it's like these two things seem like they go together

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_03]: But they actually don't but when you have four

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Things that all could group together and they don't yesterday that happened to me yesterday

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_04]: It was something about a wind or something like that. Yeah, and it was like

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_04]: There was like five that it could have been and one of them and it was like a whole yeah a whole thing

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Keeps saying one away one away

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_03]: You're one away

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_04]: But yes, there I really like it just because I like being

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Impressed by people that are just a lot smarter than I am

[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_04]: And I I get uh, I get a bit of a rush by it

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_04]: So that's where I'm at in my life

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_04]: But I did do the mini crossed a few days ago and I got it right for the very first time

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I've always said I don't have the the mind for crossword puzzles. I love cross. I just don't think

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_04]: That I've always said this. I don't think that I I get it

[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_04]: But I got it and now I'm thinking maybe I am my

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Used to my dad and I used to go to bow jangles

[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Shout out and we would get the he'd get the usa today and the state paper and we of course

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And then we would do the crossword and I would it would frustrate me as a child

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And then I realized that a lot of it there's a there's a language to it

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Looking for the plural looking for the lower case looking for the like

[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And I once you figure out the language of crosswords and each paper has their own they're a blast

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I gotta train my brain a little more. I think I should start doing uh, come on down. Yeah, I should give connections a world

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_04]: New york is new york times

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a location

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Just sit on the internet like times the w w w if you literally watch this if you just type in connections

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, and then you just go play and you're in but I like downloading that

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_04]: I like having the app they got my

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Do you do it on the app? I just no I do on the app because it's all just right there

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_02]: You know is that that won't track how you're doing over time though, right?

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I bought a resort. You did

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_04]: The resort you bought how do you

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_03]: They give you like did you buy resort?

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, or no, they were in that game that market man. They are Aaron. I'm gonna try it right now. Yep. How are we doing?

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, how are we on time

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Fair she's like connections are so two months

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Of this episode they're so demure fair. It's not demure or mindful, but we're here. We're doing it a thing

[00:30:25] You ready?

[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_01]: My second one is rolling on to huh?

[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's a little podcast. Yep called dee come descendants pot upper it

[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_00]: a squeeze

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_00]: um, it is a podcast with taylor and taylor launder

[00:30:45] And it delves into

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_03]: From twilight taylor faubner and he married my name taylor. Yes. Yep

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_00]: They call themselves boy. Tay girl. Tay so

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Cool, but it dives into like mental health. They have a lot of different like mental health professionals

[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a really good podcast where they give you like resources if you're struggling with certain things

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's it's a great listen

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's been kind of like a

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know some episodes. I think maybe maybe aren't like and easy but some of them are just like oh here's you know

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_00]: How I you know the interview different celebrities with how they're handling fame or

[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's a it's a good listen and I like it a lot. Yeah, I love it. Taylor and taylor the squeeze

[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Why is it called the squeeze?

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh because when life gives you lemons

[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, duh. What do you do when life gives you lemons here at the squeeze we talk about it

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. They're whole thing. I don't I think there's more onto the lemons

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I I don't know quite how that started. Okay, so it's not as focused on the lemons

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean they start every episode with some

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Some like icebreaker questions like if you could be a fruit, what would you be? Oh nice the game is called citrus got real

[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_00]: um

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, what do you think they would say about?

[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Jelly jam or preserve

[00:32:07] um, I think

[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I mean what do you think they would say about apple butter?

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_04]: They'd probably agree with you that okay great awesome. Do you want to apologize?

[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Officially no wow wow you haven't till the end of the episode and then you can't anymore after it because I won't

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to I'm on uh

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Dan's side here. Hitelma was his idea

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm fine with Thelma being his idea, but I'm right about preserves. Let's take a break. I really I forgot we had

[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we gotta do that. You're gonna take the homework

[00:32:43] [SPEAKER_04]: We're back. We're big threng it. Yeah, we are telling you three things

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_04]: We're into we are down to our final one each which isn't necessarily the best. It's just one of them try uh, dan

[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_03]: yeah, so I uh the books I typically read on audible or history books or religion books or something that like

[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Interests me that I just want to listen to more of but occasionally

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll be listening to a podcast and I'll hear a book brought up over and over again

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And that will be a sign to me that it's like maybe I should check this out

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And for some reason a book that has brought up all the time in the podcast that I listen to which are mostly interviews

[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Is steve martin's

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Born standing up steve martin. There's another season of only murders in the building coming out here in a week or two

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I love that show huge steve martin fan. I think he's great in most everything

[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_03]: He's in and people think that this is the stand-up comedy bible

[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I read born standing up and it was like a page turner. I couldn't believe how much I loved it

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_03]: It's wonderful. It's got good insight. You see steve martin trying to navigate

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Having more success than he ever thought possible or ever wanted

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Um why he had a weird relationship with snl

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Why he had a weird relationship with stand-up comedy?

[00:33:56] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a guy who is selling out stand-up comedy venues at a rate

[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_03]: No one had ever seen before and then he just decided to quit one day

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And this book

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Spells all that out and he has a relationship like he has a very interesting relationship with his father

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_03]: This this book is heartbreaking. It's funny. It's got everything you could want in a memoir

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: High recommend. I know that it's been on the shelf for 25 years. I just read it

[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_03]: He narrates it on audible, which is even better

[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Check it out born standing up. That's great. That's great. Really good

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_04]: When you say page turner when you're listening would it be like it's almost the opposite though

[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_04]: It's true because you're not like skipping forward. You're like, it's a great point

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I just used it as like a term. Yeah 100%

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_04]: But like what's what would be the equivalent?

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It would be like a don't turn the car off

[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Nice

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, or this is a

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_04]: This is something I want to listen to like I wanted at one x speed. I want to preserve it

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's no thing I want it one one xp

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I haven't found it yet. I don't listen to anything at one x

[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_03]: You know how I feel. Yeah. Yeah, you get in the car and you're like why is my brain speeding up?

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I just I just I want to experience my standard audible is 1.7. My standard podcast is one and a half

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That's usually where I live and then I go up or down depending on the voice

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_03]: How fast or slow it is? Yeah

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Brian yeah

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Worrying my speed or my number three both. Okay. Yeah, I I'd podcast at least 1.5

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I start a book at one and then as I learn their voice, I bump it way up

[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, crank it. I just want everyone to know that listens to our podcast at more than one x

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Regit more than normal

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_04]: That I don't condone it really I listen to our podcast

[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Nor do I consent to it and then I come in here. So anytime you are listening guys anytime I start talking

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_04]: So slow me down to normal. That's how I want you to hear me the way that God and like if God wanted me to talk to

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_04]: He would have

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Turned up the I don't actually know how it works. That's a weird thing to say. He would like crank up

[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_04]: He'd crank up those the fast talking um

[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_03]: God wanted me to turn up that what you're doing is against God's will if you speed up our podcast

[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not so you said it

[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_04]: You said a friend. It's a weird thing to say. I'll tell you friend. I think it's the same thing like uh

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I just I just like it the way that it's supposed to be, you know

[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm big on that when it comes to watching stuff

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_03]: When it comes to listening I'm like people need to get on with it like a lot of like pauses where I'm just like let's move

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's go. I need to pause sometimes. Yeah, we all do sometimes like Daniel Stern's book. I listened at one

[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm like I want his voice

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't want that to end, you know, yeah, so and I want it the way it is. So I get that

[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh my number three. Oh my god. Okay. Thank you the uh, so I moved when I moved to South Carolina

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm la Croix

[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh la Croix now there's no place for that in this office. Uh, I left a great barber

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I've had it for years. I love going to see rob

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to rob rob the barb

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Danvers mass no danvers rob danvers

[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Danvers kid and he he ended up moving into a place called a sola salons. Have you heard of these?

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Sola salons. It's like a

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_02]: A place where it's only so on

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, all right. So it's like a big space where

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Individuals can rent out there the a little chair. Yeah, sweet. Yeah a chair sola salons. Yeah, and so he was in one of the

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_02]: No, because it's all different you could be a massage therapist or a barber or do hair dying like a trousseau

[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_02]: A preserved jam, my jelly. Yeah, or uh, what's the Paddington thing? Marmalade if you will

[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_02]: So they allow marmalades when I got down here

[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I was trying out a lot of different barber shops trying to find a place where it all felt great

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll clicked in. Yeah, and so then I realized but I'll clipped in you mean y'all clipped in

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome, that was awesome

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_02]: And so there is a sola salons down here in greenville

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And so I just said i'm gonna shop around

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_02]: In the soul of so i got to try out three or four different barb. Like I

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I haven't settled on I found a good one. Yeah, I hadn't found a good one

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, hadn't and then I was like look at this soul salons

[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_02]: There was like four different places. I tried over a couple of few months and I found one a couple of a few months

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, is that six months did rob move down here? No

[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_03]: A couple of few months at least six months. Yes

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it was over three months. Okay. I was going more than I needed to just to get in the chair

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Just to get in the chair every few months. Okay

[00:38:24] [SPEAKER_01]: You were going to get your haircut how many times a month maybe like two times a month

[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_01]: You got to get your haircut twice a month about that. I went on a streak there

[00:38:31] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll spend money on our

[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_02]: It was too no it was overboard. I don't know no no no no no they were like 25

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Express cut express cut 25 for a haircut. That's what i'm saying. That's what i'm saying. It deals to be happy

[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you pay the price

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_02]: In another way. So who is this the soul of salon?

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_02]: I found this this barber her name is taylor and she's just she's just cool. She's very cool. She's in greenville

[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Taylor maid, I think it's called actually

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It's called taylor swift

[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's really great because you can get you get try a bunch of places

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It's got a whole slew of different types of people in there. So soul salon a very cool

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Business idea but the name of the soul of salon is

[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_02]: No, the the place the building is like a solar. Where is it? This is in they're all over

[00:39:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a franchise. Where is the one you're going to in greenville

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Where it's called soul of salon and her little chair her spot in it. Her name's taylor

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Is this an avid and castello episode?

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Where is the location that you are going to?

[00:39:38] [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to polymbrone. I'm out

[00:39:41] [SPEAKER_02]: It's right near you it's near me. What do I that's her what a little maid see hair studio

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mean you're you're describing a place where I need a pass but what's

[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_02]: What's so special out of here? What's so special about taylor? Oh, we just get along great. What do you like about taylor?

[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_02]: She's very chill. She's just easy to talk to some, you know

[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Some people will talk a lot and then you just like all right. Let's take a breath

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Sort of like let's slow down the podcast speed. Let's take a chill

[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_02]: So we just got a good rapport I've enjoyed and she does a really good job

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And so I think I found my spot

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_02]: So soul of salons if you're looking for a new spot see what's available. It's awesome sand

[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_03]: If you're looking for somebody easy to talk to

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Who's there for you might want somebody who talks a mile a minute and we'll we'll talk to the entire time

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_02]: With no not even taking a breath. They just have a good vibe. Yeah, man. The vibe is big and you pay by the hour then

[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_03]: So that's mine

[00:40:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And you weren't getting that from in like anyone else

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean like just oh the way you were looking for I had some good ones

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_02]: But this one just felt like really comfortable. It was like this feels more most like rob

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Getting my cut with rob. It was just real comfortable really easy to take you a long time to

[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Let a woman cut your hair because you were no

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Taylor's gonna rob is what we're saying. Yeah, Taylor. Yeah, she's the greenville rob. She's a greenville rob

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_04]: That's what we call it. Yeah, so what she's in her greenville rob greenville rob. Oh, it's taylor

[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_04]: That was such a wild way to talk about it was the the longest way

[00:41:04] [SPEAKER_03]: To taylor now cuts my hair and she's great

[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but the business solo salons is a cool idea. It is how most every barber shop in america runs

[00:41:15] [SPEAKER_03]: You go ahead haran

[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Is your third big three solo salon? Yeah, or taylor taylor at solo salons, but it's the solo salon

[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the solo salons bit like the the business is very cool because it offers you a lot of different options

[00:41:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I found a great option named taylor at a solo salon. Yeah

[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_02]: That's my third big three. Yeah solo salon studios

[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_02]: But i don't want everybody going to taylor palam road

[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Like i need to be able to schedule my cuts with taylor, so i don't need everybody

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_02]: It's on palam road bruh. You're not to worry. Yeah, you gotta update your passport

[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm out again. Is there yeah, it's still i think it's still under construction

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_04]: We're getting a little closer. This is just

[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_04]: How barbershop so you go in and you can try

[00:42:18] [SPEAKER_04]: The you can use someone to cut your hair and if you like them you can go back to them

[00:42:22] [SPEAKER_04]: If you don't you can try someone else maybe in another chair. Yeah, it's a 20

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_03]: The thing for themselves. How is taylor making any money at 25? Taylor's not cutting my head for they're not all for 25

[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_04]: You can this is the the in and out. They're not

[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Is they're not

[00:42:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Everybody 25 $ no matter

[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_04]: 25

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_02]: How much is taylor taylor's 30?

[00:42:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Huh?

[00:42:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah

[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't get a lot going on but is taylor charging me 30 bucks if you go in for a

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_02]: 30 minute cut express cut no shampoo

[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_02]: 30 bucks the taylor swift cut if you will what do you have that?

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Wow, that's good. Yeah 30 bucks. I don't think she could do my head. There's no way

[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_02]: She would love to do your hair

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I already got somebody I love. Yeah, what do you pay for a haircut?

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh 55 yeah, that's big bucks, but it's probably a really nice experience right?

[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I love him. So he's the best and he's the only person that's ever cut my hair where I feel safe. Yeah

[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_04]: This is what I'm getting like there a lot of people are hard with my hair

[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_04]: You got to do a lot and they nick me and and I can feel it. I don't I don't feel a thing

[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how he does it. I want magic hands to air in one time and get his haircut

[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_04]: The scott requested them at brimblefest

[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if scott specifically requested dr. Pepper, but did request zero sugar. Okay. Yeah

[00:44:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Listen, I don't know what what i've been doing all these years with the diet coke. Dr. Pepper zero sugar has

[00:46:12] [SPEAKER_04]: We put the papers up. Yeah, we did we kept thinking that it's gonna come to us

[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_00]: As someone who loves to bake my favorite thing to bake is a red velvet cupcake with a cream cheese frosting

[00:46:23] [SPEAKER_00]: And I have not done that since I tried parlor donuts cream cheese frosting because there's

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah

[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll have a little donut hole here or there, but i'm not i'm cutting back for you mainly because I don't want to die

[00:47:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Anytime good reason. Um, you've been doing great. Thank you. Thank you

[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, and I think this is like oh man, this is really nice

[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's really sweet, but it's I don't gotta listen

[00:47:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I might I might have to worry about this causing something else to come in and kill me

[00:47:38] [SPEAKER_04]: But it won't be the sugar ain't gonna get you. It won't be the sugar not that sugar

[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so here here here. We'll close out with this. There's only one here

[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead. I'm not a big apple pie guy

[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, this donut's very cold

[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Nice

[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't get any feelings. So i'm happy

[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh wow

[00:48:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Whoa

[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Pretty good

[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh

[00:48:15] [SPEAKER_02]: This is amazing. It's really good. That was a really good donut. Did you get filling?
