[00:00:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Fa la la la
[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_01]: We hope you like this jolly podcast
[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Fa la la la
[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Wa wa wa
[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow
[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Boring
[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Hello everybody
[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_02]: If you're listening, if you're coming here for season one episode one, stop, freeze it, stop it
[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_02]: That's it
[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to be confused by the segments alone
[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to be confused
[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_02]: You won't get it
[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to do any explanations this one
[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_02]: So stop this one, go back and listen to the most recent episode
[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's the one
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_02]: And now here we are
[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_02]: It's great to be back here today
[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Double episode Friday to celebrate the launch of Chicken Sisters
[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_02]: The launch of
[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Hallmark Plus
[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_02]: The launch of the Christmas schedule
[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe
[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_02]: No
[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's great to be back here today for another episode
[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Jax, hi
[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_00]: How are ya?
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Hi guys
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_00]: It's been a minute
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's so good to see you
[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_00]: It is
[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_03]: We had to wait all the way to Thursday for that next one
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_03]: But we all decided we're going to wear the same thing we were wearing
[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for
[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll come back
[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Filo.tv slash DTH
[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh I'm so embarrassed
[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even realize I was wearing the same thing
[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_02]: That happens to the best of us
[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_02]: The fact that you remember that
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_02]: It was pretty crazy
[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_02]: But anyway
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_02]: It is great to be back here today talking to Chicken Sisters
[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_02]: We're just going to talk about one this week
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Which Chicken Sisters are we going to talk about?
[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they will
[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know
[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_02]: If you guys remember to a few minutes ago
[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_02]: If you're listening
[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_02]: We had the chicken of the week
[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember that?
[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Not a few minutes
[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_02]: It was last episode
[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Right
[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_02]: But the people probably maybe listened to that one
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a few minutes ago if you started this episode right after the last one
[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right
[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I assume it's what most people are doing
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a full bench
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a full bench
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know
[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's Saturday
[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Happy Saturday
[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's Sunday
[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it wasn't a few minutes ago is my point
[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And Lord bless you
[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Keep it
[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you have any Halloween plans?
[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you know what you're going to be this year?
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what I'm going to be this year
[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Last year I did a group costume with my sister and my brother-in-law
[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_00]: And Alex and my niece
[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And we were two teams from Amazing Race
[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And my niece was the Travelocity Gnome
[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I can't tell if that's very niche or if people, if you watch it, you get it
[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: If you know you now
[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you guys do family costumes?
[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I have never dressed
[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I tried to get Dan to dress
[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And I actually think I was successful
[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Dan's the tourist for being like I'm too cool for her
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And I know it's going to shock a lot of people
[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_02]: It's going to shock a lot of people
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_02]: But Dan's like I'm too cool for Halloween
[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't dress up
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Even if my kids begged me I wouldn't dress up
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_02]: We've had this conversation
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't stop
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Let me explain
[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And so we went
[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking as soon as you're done
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_02]: We went trick or treating together last year
[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_02]: And I helped with his costume
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_03]: No, that's not true
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: We, first of all, Jax
[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't allowed to go trick or treating as a kid
[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I've never dressed up for trick or treating in my life
[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Because of religious reasons?
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Now
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, demons which is obviously
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_03]: You dress up like one
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_03]: The Bible says you're going straight to hell
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's as clear as it can be
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Or you can be like we did in Catholic school and dressed as a saint
[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_03]: So we did Reformation Day
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Where we would go and dress up like I guess
[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember by character
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, Martin Luther
[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Paul?
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Paul
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the apostle
[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah
[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So I've never dressed up for Halloween
[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: John, baptizer
[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I've never dressed up like that for Halloween
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not opposed to dressing up
[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I just, if I'm walking around the neighborhood with my kids
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: This is about them
[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not about me
[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't need to get dressed up
[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Our kids, our four boys together
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_03]: They were the four Ninja Turtles last year
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, too cute
[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Bran got some sort of like Ninja Turtles thing
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Put it on my chest
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It was a Velcro shell
[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_03]: With one hand and took a selfie with the other
[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And said look Dan dressed up
[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't wear it after that
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: That was it
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I was in this
[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_03]: This year my kid has begged me to dress up
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was on board with it
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And then he decided
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_03]: We make them decide
[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: By the first week of September what they're going to be
[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Because if you don't
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Kids just change their mind over and over again
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: So my kid decided
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd hate for kids to be kids
[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the worst thing about them
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_03]: October 20th comes around
[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And they're still deciding their outfit
[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You can't find it
[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a nightmare
[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_03]: If a kid decides he wants to be something different on October 22nd
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And all the Spider-Man outfits are sold out
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_03]: You're in trouble
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I just want to say to all the kids out there
[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that you should be whatever you want to be
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_02]: And whatever you put your mind to
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Be it the first week of September or ever
[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_02]: It's never too late to get started
[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Awesome, we get it
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_03]: You're a kid, we understand
[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_03]: My kid decided at the last minute
[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: He was going to be Bane from Batman
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh
[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we're going to trick or treat together
[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be Bane from Batman
[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_03]: So his outfit is already in
[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_03]: The whole mask
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: The whole thing
[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_03]: He's very, very excited about it
[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And then the other kid decided on Wolverine
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I don't really have a place in that
[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Now that it's not themed
[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_02]: That's interesting
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Because Grizz last night said he wants to be Wolverine
[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Well first he said Deadpool
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Are you sure about that?
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I've told my kids no Deadpool
[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I've told them no Deadpool
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Deadpool's very big with the kids right now
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_02]: It's so tough, man
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_02]: And we're like, hey guys
[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And my reasoning was very much
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_03]: How he treats his friends is unkind and not compassionate
[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Wolverine, no one cares
[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so sorry
[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't really know Deadpool
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_00]: So wait, he's not a nice guy?
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_03]: No, just go watch the first 20 minutes of the first Deadpool
[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And you'll realize why we don't want our eight year olds
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And I like, Brian knows this
[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't believe I'm saying this on the pod
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_03]: But like I don't do a cuss words are bad thing with my kids
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't do it
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's ridiculous and I think it's dumb
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And we talk about language not in what you say
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_03]: But how you say it and why you're saying it
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And are you being compassionate
[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_03]: That's how I parent my kids
[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I love that
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's cool, isn't it?
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Until teachers at school are like
[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Your kid said this
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, okay
[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: And they're like
[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_03]: They expect me to react a certain way
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Having said that
[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_03]: So my thing with Deadpool is not that he uses four letter words
[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_03]: It's he's not being compassionate or kind
[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Whereas Wolverine we're all in port with
[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Wolverine
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I love
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Listen, you know what's going to happen on Halloween
[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_02]: If you let your, you know, seven, six, five year old kid
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Be Deadpool
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get side eyes from all the neighbors
[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_02]: You guys watching Deadpool
[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: No, we're not
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not watching Deadpool
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_01]: For some reason
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_01]: All the kids love Deadpool
[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know what to tell you
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a no
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_03]: My kids can't watch it until they're adults
[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_03]: That's basically what I told them
[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Until they're 18
[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, probably 16
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean go watch the first 20 minutes, Jax
[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I wouldn't let my 15 year old right now
[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean I'm sure who knows
[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Who knows what it will be like in seven years
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I'll be like heck let's watch it
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know
[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you think I'm ready for it?
[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Right now
[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you're ready
[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_03]: After the first four minutes of the chicken sisters
[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Last week I don't think you're ready for it
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_03]: But my kids are Bane and Wolverine
[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_03]: There's no theme for me here
[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Last year they were like
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_03]: You should be Splinter
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like no
[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But then they didn't care
[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Because they had four ninja turrets
[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I was just like
[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Nah, you guys have fun
[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't want it
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not here to be the show
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I want my kids to be the show
[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_03]: That's not about that
[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Dan, I love
[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Wait a second
[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I love in the world of Dan's inflated ego
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_00]: That he thinks he can steal the show
[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: From two of the cutest kids
[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I've ever seen in my entire life
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Dan will have a neighborhood
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And everybody's taking pictures of Dan
[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Like look at this guy
[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_01]: He's so cute
[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I didn't even notice he had kids
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever to them
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Can't win
[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_01]: There's that big giant man
[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: He's dressed like a rat
[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: There's no danger in that, Dan
[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_03]: If I lean in and do a character
[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Bran's going to do the opposite version of this bit
[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_03]: You know it
[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I know we both don't
[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: You think it's all about you
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It isn't
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_03]: That's true
[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_03]: That's my whole point
[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_03]: It's all about you one way or the other
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It's all about you one way or the other
[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_03]: You guys are unbelievable
[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Just over here trying to
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03]: For religious reasons
[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't want to dress up for Halloween
[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_01]: We're trying to honor your mom and dad
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: By not dressing up
[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I know we're giving you a tough time
[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_02]: They're honoring you
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_02]: You have to respect your parents' wishes
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_03]: They don't
[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk chicken sisters
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we've done this
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a great segue
[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Really good
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_03]: This is really good stuff
[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a Halloween episode
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Apparently
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Chicken Sisters season one, episode two
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_02]: September 13th somewhere
[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Friday the 13th
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Friday the 13th today
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty spooky
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_02]: That's true
[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you get into all that?
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Jax
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, wait
[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you get into all that?
[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you get into all that?
[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Like Friday the 13th
[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you get into all that?
[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I am going to
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I am going to a magic show tonight for Friday the 13th
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean?
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like spooky
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_00]: You know
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's a magician
[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's a magician
[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's as spooky as I like to get
[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Is this a friend?
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Is this a friend?
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you supporting a friend?
[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_03]: You said we'll go to your show
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_03]: You're supporting a friend aren't you?
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Make sure there's people there
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a friend
[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You got my number
[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_00]: You understand
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: You get what I do
[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a bringer show for magicians
[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And they don't get any money
[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_03]: But they get a cut of the bar
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_03]: We know exactly what's going on
[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_03]: That's tough
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to order a bunch of drinks
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And pour them out
[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And you're not going to drink them
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_03]: You could have given them the full amount
[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But then they wouldn't feel like they'd earned it
[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_03]: This is exactly what Jax is doing
[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_03]: She orders $100 worth of drinks
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_03]: She throws out
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_03]: They get 20 bucks out of that
[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Instead she could have given him $100
[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Not going to do it
[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I feel so seen
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: That's why we love you
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_03]: See you in one
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_03]: We had the most boring
[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Not the most boring
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_03]: The most embarrassing episode live show
[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_03]: In Deck the Hallmark history
[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Is in Brooklyn, New York
[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And one of the handful of people that was there
[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Was Jax's sister probably for the same reason
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Probably because she just wanted to support us
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And be kind
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: We're magicians
[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah we are
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Dang it
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00]: She had a great time
[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And I was so jealous that I wasn't in town then
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And honestly if you guys did that show now
[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_00]: It would be packed to the gills
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_02]: You were there just Hallmark didn't let you come
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_02]: This is like
[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_02]: You know how you say off Broadway
[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Under the thumb of Big Biscuits
[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_03]: We played at the Bell House bar
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what we did
[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_03]: The Bell House bar in Brooklyn
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Brought us out to the lobby
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Out in the lobby is what happened there
[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_02]: This will be less embarrassing
[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And then I can just cut to two days before
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Jax and Cass talk
[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's like, Cass can you take this one?
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Can you just take the bullet here?
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I just can't possibly
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I gotta
[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't do this
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I gotta go to a magic show
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you money for the drinks
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_02]: It'll be better
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_02]: It's called
[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_02]: What's the episode two called?
[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Fry them up
[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay
[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Jax what's it called?
[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Slurpee time
[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Ooh that would have been a good one
[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Because she does drink a slurpee in this
[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_02]: It's called I Walked the Line
[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Ooh okay
[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Like if Johnny Cash does it?
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't like to close your mind
[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh because of the cop
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I Walked the Line
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_02]: There's a cop
[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_02]: In this one
[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_02]: September 12th, 2024
[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_02]: And it went a little something
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Like this
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_02]: We find out that
[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_02]: There's a difference between a Franny's girl and a Mimi's girl
[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Franny's girls
[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_02]: They're
[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_02]: What I would say is fancy pants
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_02]: They're fancy pants
[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Goodie goods
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_02]: All that good stuff
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And then there's Mimi girls
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And I think
[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we'd all be Mimi's girls
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I like to think I know the three of us
[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_02]: And I think if push came to shove
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_02]: We'd be Mimi's girls
[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And let's just say they're not so fancy
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_02]: They don't care about the fancy
[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_02]: They just care about the good time
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Cut back to present day
[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And May
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah May convinces Sabrina
[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_02]: To push shooting a day
[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_02]: So that she can make sure that
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_02]: That Mimi's the restaurant is up to snuff
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And can tell the family
[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_02]: That she's like there to help them all be ready for the camera
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_02]: She's going to do a little training day
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Make sure that they're camera ready
[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_02]: She tells her mom
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_02]: That she's staying at the inn
[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Instead of staying at her house
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Apparently there's a bit of trauma
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_02]: In her past in regards to her mom's hoarding
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_02]: We don't get much about that now
[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_02]: But we do get a flashback to the hoarding
[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if she still hoards
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_02]: We don't know
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_02]: She is shocked to find out
[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_02]: That her childhood best friend
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Kenneth
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Runs the inn now
[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And they haven't talked since she left town
[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Way back when
[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_02]: So while she's reconnecting with
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Kenneth Amanda
[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Is talking to Sabrina
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_02]: And trying to make sure
[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_02]: That just because Sabrina and May know each other
[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And have a past
[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't mean that they're going to get
[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You know favoritism from Sabrina
[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And Sabrina's like all I hear right now is drama
[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Which means good TV
[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_02]: So she records the whole thing
[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Sabrina spends the day with Amanda
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Trying to convince them that they are close
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_02]: So the next day May comes in
[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Amanda tries to convince the family
[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_02]: To one be civil on the show
[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_02]: And two whatever you do
[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't let that snake Sabrina manipulate you
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_02]: She's going to try to act like
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_02]: You guys are best friends
[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_02]: But you're not best friends
[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_02]: She's just in it for good TV
[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_02]: But uh oh
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Amanda definitely has been manipulated
[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_02]: And she did tell Sabrina about this job
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_02]: At Donkeys
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_02]: When she first moved out of town
[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_03]: At a restaurant from Deck the Hallmark
[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_02]: At Donkeys
[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_02]: It's Donkey
[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's a Shrek themed restaurant
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh but it's called Donkeys
[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Donkeys only
[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't hate that first of all
[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't really know what to do with it
[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_02]: But we'll buy them already
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_02]: So she is like
[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_02]: She tells Sabrina
[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And then she realizes she made a mistake
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's something that May didn't want anybody to know
[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Much less Sabrina
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_02]: That she had this embarrassing job at Donkeys
[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh Sabrina's daughter and Amanda
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_02]: And Amanda's daughter
[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_02]: They are hanging out
[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Because they're the only good kids in town I guess
[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_02]: And uh Sabrina
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_02]: She wants to get some alcohol
[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_02]: She wants to get turnt as the kids say
[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_03]: They've said it for years now
[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_03]: A decade, they're not kids anymore
[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Those kids are now adults
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Can I ask you this question real quick for me buddy?
[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Turn down for what?
[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Bam bam bam bam bam bam
[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Turn down for what?
[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_02]: That's all we're trying to say
[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why kids don't love our podcast
[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_02]: They must
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_02]: They must
[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_03]: They must
[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_03]: They're the future
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_02]: But don't watch Deadpool kids
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't do it
[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Listen to our podcast instead
[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_02]: It's safer, it's cleaner, it's safe for the whole family
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Little ears
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Ear months
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, they get caught buying some alcohol
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_02]: The cops come
[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_02]: And so Amanda gets a call
[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Naturally Sergio's there
[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay
[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And gives her a ride
[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_02]: And the tension's heavy
[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Buckles her seatbelt if you know what I mean
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_02]: That's exactly right
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Ooh boy howdy
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_02]: May and Kenneth are hanging out
[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_02]: They're drinking maybe a little bit too much
[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_02]: She's painting the walls
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Things got out of hand
[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_02]: She says a little bit of a hurtful thing to Kenneth
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_02]: He leaves, she keeps working
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_02]: She keeps drinking until she gets a text from Sabrina
[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Saying hey I knew about donkeys
[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_02]: And she freaks out
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_02]: She tries to play it cool
[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_02]: But she just sends ha ha ha ha back
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And Sabrina's like oh she's freaking out
[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_02]: And she is freaking out
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Because when Sergio and Amanda drive back
[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_02]: They drive by Mimi's
[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_02]: And a big part of Amanda's life
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And something that she has with her mom
[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that she painted the sign way back when
[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Before the little split
[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: And the sign is still there
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_02]: The painting that she painted of chicken of the week
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Of chicken of the week
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_02]: And so they go by and they see that the sign has been painted over
[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_02]: It's been vandalized and a big M has been put on it
[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Clearly it was May, May's mad at Amanda
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_02]: For telling Sabrina about donkey
[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And that my friends was
[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_02]: The Chicken Sisters Season 1 Episode 2
[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I Walked the Line
[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_02]: We did it
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_02]: We did do it
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's take a quick break
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll come back
[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll break this episode down here on
[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Deck the Hallmark
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_03]: What is going on out there?
[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_03]: The belief is going on
[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Jax are you in trouble?
[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh wait I literally
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I guess I'm just a city girl
[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_00]: That I don't need to hear anymore
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like it's getting out of hand out there
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Wait so you can actually hear it?
[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's be quiet for a second
[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay it's gone
[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Now nothing
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what it was about that moment
[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_02]: But let's talk Chicken Sisters Season 1 Episode 2
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I Walked the Line
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's walk our way into the hot take segment
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Nicely done
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to start with Jax
[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_02]: What did you think of Season 1 Episode 2 of the Chicken Sisters?
[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I am all in on this show
[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_00]: It is such a good time
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you mentioned it in your synopsis brand
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_00]: But you did an amazing job with it so this isn't a critique
[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Good save, good save, good save
[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_00]: But Cardi Wong and Wendy Malik hooking up
[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah it seems that way
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_00]: It is fire
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I am like yes girl yes
[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Is it?
[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Get it?
[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh wait I thought you guys were going to be like
[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah you don't think that's incredibly sexy?
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I love the idea that she's having an affair with a young dude
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And that she's trying to keep it secret
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not an affair
[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Not an affair I'm sorry
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_03]: She's having a tryst
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_03]: They are two adults
[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes a tryst
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes a tryst
[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I just thought it was like
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know
[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Cardi Wong just didn't read that for me
[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_03]: That's I just
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: But you know
[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I was surprised is all
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I've been kind of thirsty for Cardi Wong since like 2019
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_00]: So I was glad to see Wendy Malik get it
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_03]: You and Alonzo DeRaldi
[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Alonzo DeRaldi tells us all the time
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Cardi Wong should have his own movie
[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_00]: 100% I think he's such a good actor
[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's so handsome and charismatic
[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Love him
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I was digging that
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I love Kenneth
[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I think that it's very interesting to get to see May and Kenneth
[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's very interesting to explore their relationship after having been not talking for a few years
[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll get more into that later
[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And then my gosh I mean Brian you said it but you know that seatbelt moment
[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Right?
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It reminded me of when Nathan closed the window behind Elizabeth
[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_00]: And you're like this is
[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_00]: This is more sexual than actual intercourse
[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Just to paint the picture this is one of these old pickup trucks that doesn't have a shoulder belt
[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a lap belt
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So when he reaches over there he's not reaching up here
[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_03]: He reaches across her and buckles her lap belt which pretty sure is just against the law
[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_03]: But nobody cares because oh my gosh
[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_03]: That scene is wild
[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_00]: That scene is wild
[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievable
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And they're like breathing into it
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's not even like let me adjust this for you
[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And they're like
[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_00]: It's so upsetting
[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_00]: But wonderful and sexy I don't know a lot of things are happening
[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: We said this show is for little ears but I'm not sure anymore
[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_03]: The seatbelt can be tricky
[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_03]: You gotta get that buckle just right
[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And
[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Buckled
[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you good and buckled?
[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Are you good and buckled?
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I was out of hand
[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna try to walk a
[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Walk out a
[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm walking it out
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna walk out an analogy here
[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna walk out an analogy here and we're gonna see how it goes
[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_02]: I felt like the first episode let's say your boy Brian was a little piece of chicken
[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_02]: And
[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_02]: You were like a wing, a thigh, a breast
[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I was a leg
[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And I was a chicken leg
[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_02]: And you know the first episode I was having a good time
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I was rolling around in the breading
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like this is nice, this is wonderful
[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And if that was episode one I felt like episode two put me right there in the old
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Boiling in the fryer
[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like whoa
[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_02]: This is great
[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I am now a full chicken head
[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_02]: I love this show
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Chicken leg
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I am now a fully fried chicken leg
[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And that means
[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_02]: That I'm a fan of this show
[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's wonderful
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm two episodes and I can't wait to see what happens in episode three
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_02]: There's just so much about this show
[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_02]: All the characters
[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_02]: The actors are crushing these characters
[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_02]: They feel lived in, it feels real
[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_02]: And boy howdy
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm all about it
[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_02]: This takes me back to season one
[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Of the way home days
[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Back where life was nice
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's right up there
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's really good
[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's right up there
[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's really good
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_02]: You can do whatever you want to
[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_02]: You can huff and puff
[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Like your kid's asking you to put on a costume
[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_02]: But I like it
[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's real good
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm having a good time
[00:21:37] Dano?
[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah episode two didn't work for me as well as episode one
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You hopped out of the fryer
[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_03]: You hopped out of it
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I liked the tone of episode one
[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Like hey this isn't Hallmark
[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And I like the soapy tone
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_03]: The light hearted
[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's soapy
[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Who could be possibly sleeping with who
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: We're throwing some language at you
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And this episode was sexier
[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_03]: But it also throws
[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Some really deep
[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Trauma that we're going to have to unpack
[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't feel like for me
[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_03]: It fit what I thought
[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_03]: The show's best version was
[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Like you know
[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_03]: For instance hoarders, like that's a mental
[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Illness that requires
[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Treatment and like help
[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And consistency in a new routine
[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And medication, therapy
[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think Wendy Malick's had any of that
[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_03]: No but is she a fully functioning adult
[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Who isn't really a hoarder that much
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Anymore? Yes
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I would have been much happier
[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Had the
[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Incidence of disagreements
[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Been a lot more surface level
[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Not the hurt, like you can be hurt
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Because your daughter went and married
[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_03]: The rival chicken restaurants
[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's a deep hurt
[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's not a deep trauma
[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Like and that's not the only one
[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Like there's some others you can see that are bubbling up
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm
[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Not confident this show can have
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Both. I don't think it can have a
[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Fun, happy
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Like pulpy, soapy, fun
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Time and also
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Manage the weight of deep trauma and so
[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Wasn't as soon as we got the
[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Hoarder flashback I became
[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_03]: A lot less interested unfortunately
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I was worried about the scenes that we were going to
[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_03]: That was a check written
[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: That scenes later is going to have to cash
[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know if it's going to be able
[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_03]: To do that. Am I off board completely?
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but I didn't
[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Enjoy it as much as the premier
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Episode unfortunately
[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_02]: You're not, you jumped out of the
[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Oil and now you're
[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Well you, they were starting to be put in there
[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_02]: And then you jumped out of the person's hand
[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And you said I'm not ready
[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_02]: To be baked yet. In this
[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Analogy people are frying live
[00:23:45] Chickens
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I jumped out of the oil
[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_00]: They're not lobsters, Brian
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_00]: That's right. Yeah, I know it's going to
[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Break down at some point. Yeah, it's going to break down
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_03]: At some point and the point is now
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: That's where we're going to outbound
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Dan, I think that's a really good
[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Point because it's one
[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_00]: That I haven't thought of but
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I see where you're going with it
[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And also we have enough
[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_00]: About Wendy Malick's character that
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Like she's a little emotionally disconnected
[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_00]: And all that stuff that we could make
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_00]: That work and have a little bit more depth
[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Without actually having this
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Hording and really
[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Opening that
[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Can of worms that I'm not sure if they can really
[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Handle it with the care
[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_00]: That it deserves. Well, I think
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And I hate for us to get too deep here
[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_03]: On Chicken Sisters Episode 2
[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Walk the line after we've already done whatever
[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_03]: We've done so far but the reality
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that you know as
[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Especially people get older
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Little things that aren't unhandled become
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Big things. It's not the reverse
[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Big trauma and big hoarding when you're
[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_03]: In your 30s and 40s don't become little
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Tiny problems when you're in your 60s and 70s
[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the reverse. It's I didn't treat
[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_03]: My kid well and I've regretted it instead of saying
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry and doing the right thing now
[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I've made it this big thing. Why
[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't we deal with that?
[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Like those are great things to unpack
[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Those are great things
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_03]: To deal with that people might be able to see
[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And recognize in their own life. Instead
[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_03]: People are watching the Chicken Sisters at home and going
[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Man my you know
[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Whomever is a hoarder and that
[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Is not how that works
[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I feel like you just
[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Trust your characters. Wendy Malick she's in
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_03]: The Father Christmas series and has some issues in that
[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Series. She can play this. She can
[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Do this. She's more than capable
[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And so it just felt like
[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Like something we didn't need
[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like that's gonna be more the tenor of the show
[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not out but I'm
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Certainly not as in as I was after week one. We all have
[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Brought our deepest trauma though we're gonna share
[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Right now. Mine is Bram making fun of me
[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_03]: For not wanting to dress up for Halloween
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And people say that I bully him but it's a
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Constant around the office. He throws
[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Things at me. It's a tough working
[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Environment. If I could go anywhere else I would
[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm stuck here. The contract is pretty
[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_03]: 50-50. There's nothing I can do. I am
[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Just here. I'm beholden to Bram's bullying
[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Nothing I can do. Okay
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Are we all sharing our trauma?
[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_00]: No. Well you're nobody's gonna talk about that
[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_00]: You can now. I have it
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm on deck for if we need to
[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_00]: But to be clear I do think
[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Wendy Malik could carry it as an actor
[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think that the show is gonna feel like
[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_00]: They have time to deal with it
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_02]: In a proper way. Agreed.
[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's get to all the feels we were talking about
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_02]: What in this episode gave us feels
[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Jax
[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Kenneth. Oh I have such
[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Big feels for Kenneth
[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_00]: When the way he handles
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_00]: When he has a boss
[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Not knowing that his mom died
[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_00]: And then
[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_00]: When she
[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Handles that really well like I think both the
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Actress and the character of I'm so sorry
[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And having a reckoning with that
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_00]: But then that
[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_00]: She makes me so mad when she
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Insults him by saying nothing good has ever come
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Out of this town
[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And he has boundaries with
[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Her. He's probably also in therapy
[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_00]: He says
[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_00]: That my dear is my cue to leave and he leaves her standing there and then she has the nerve to be like yeah
[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Be that way. It's like yeah girl
[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_00]: He is gonna be that way because your heinous right now and I want to slap you across the face. Yeah
[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So those are my feels
[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Like
[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Sexy feels of course. I do think that there's a great
[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_03]: They're doing a great job of creating some flawed protagonists for us, which is really really wonderful
[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely. Yeah
[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep, yep. Yep. Um, I
[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Obviously the seatbelt scene was I mean, it was out of bounds. Yeah, so we're bringing up
[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_02]: the scene where when she gets the donkey text and
[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Replies to it and she says the ha ha ha and she says it for a really long time
[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Enough to where it makes like the viewer uncomfortable then you and I both saw blink twice in theaters
[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_02]: And I told you before you saw it. There's a scene where Chan-Tan is really gonna do something
[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it's gonna go on for too long and they're gonna be like wow
[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_02]: You really went for it. That was the equipment that in this show
[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Really good
[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like just enough of her saying ha to where you think it goes on too long to showcase
[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_02]: The discomfort that she has in that moment as well
[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I thought I thought she performed it great and it was it was excellent data. So my feels is Rekia Bernard
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I know we talked about her in the first episode, but I want to be very clear
[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_03]: She's not listed on IMDB in the cast
[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_03]: We look I looked during both episodes. Maybe they've updated by the time this episode has aired
[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_03]: She's not in there anywhere. And so when I saw her the first time I was like man because she's in yellow jackets
[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_03]: She's great in yellow jackets
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I was okay, maybe they got her and they just got her for a day or two and that's it
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It's very evident the Rekia Bernard is a big part of this
[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_03]: television program and
[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_03]: She's great. You can tell she's gonna stir stuff up
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I love like what's the other thing I love about that character is she's brought her daughter with her
[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_03]: They have their own problems
[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_03]: but they're also in a southern town for the first time where Hallmark for once has done a good job and
[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Making that fish out of water, especially for people of color feel exactly how it's supposed to feel because
[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Southern towns would like to tell you that they're very welcoming and they probably think that they are but the impact and the intent are
[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Different southern towns think that they're they're welcoming because everyone looks the same
[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_03]: someone new comes to town and their version of welcoming is sometimes just like smiling and nodding and not know what to say and
[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So the idea of that conversation of do you guys have a bodega?
[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like if you had asked me at 15 if you'd ask me at 25 what a bodega was I would be like
[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what you're talking about a bodega get out of here
[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_03]: We can go down to the store we can go, you know
[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_03]: We can like that is not how that would would work
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And so not only is Rekia Bernard just on point and a very important part of what makes this show go
[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_03]: But also they're doing the southern town experience, right?
[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Even the folks that are nice
[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I think have some things to learn and so I really really have appreciated that let's say a quick break
[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll come back. We'll get to the way what and the chicken fries. I'm gonna show here on
[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Season one episode two, let's get to the way what we talked about what in this episode minutes go wait what Jax anything?
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Fran you crack me up
[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I have two things I
[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I've often said that Gen Z is the greatest generation
[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I've said on this podcast, but I've said it
[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_03]: You were in the trenches Jax
[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Greatest generation of these
[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Social media though, it's a toy the greatest generation the greatest generation Z
[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_00]: They are incredibly open-minded kind-hearted
[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry to interrupt you because that's what we've done this whole time Jax
[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But I just want to say that I agree with you 100%
[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Because they have empathy that I never had growing up and I think they will change the world go. Oh
[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_00]: My god. Yes. Yes, exactly. Exactly. They're so empathetic
[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm still gonna go with the veterans and I want that on the record. I do love I do love the veterans
[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I do love the veterans. Thank you for your service, but you're no Gen Z
[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_00]: But you're no Gen Z and I this does get on my nerves when I watch programs because I am NOT a parent
[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_00]: but I do
[00:31:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Coach a lot of kids who are in that age range and most of the kids all of the kids
[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I know are really smart and loving and kind and maybe they're not that way to their parents
[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_00]: But I actually think that by and large they are and I don't like the sullen teen thing
[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the I don't like that vibe. Do I think these two actors?
[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Are doing a really good job
[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, like I'm liking that we're having these teenagers on the show, but I want to see
[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_00]: more nuance and and to me think more truth from these moments with these teens and then my second thing is is that I
[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Understand that May and Kenneth
[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_00]: fell out of contact and
[00:32:31] [SPEAKER_00]: You know was made is mostly on her
[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Her fault and she admits that the fact that she didn't know that his mom died is
[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Suspect to me because I think that her mom might have told her she might have seen it on social and the apology should
[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Have been like I'm sorry didn't come back for the funeral and he's like, oh my got your flowers or whatever
[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I just think her not knowing that was completely bonkers to me and unbelievable
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a great weight what because the idea she isn't Gen Z
[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_03]: She's millennial and she would know if her best friend from high school's
[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Mom died get out of here
[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Here 100% yeah, I
[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Have two as well one guy the seat belt. Okay. I don't want to keep harping on it
[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_02]: That thing wasn't broken this guy's up to up to no good. There's shady doings good on here
[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_02]: And if it is broken, there's no way that the best course of action is to reach over somebody
[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and be like I know the special trick to the seat belt shady doing Sergio in fact
[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_03]: You can't make a lap belt more unsafe
[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_03]: What are you gonna chop someone in half more like it doesn't like it's not either either you buckle it or don't buckle it
[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Like you're not gonna make it more unsafe. Yeah, my other one is this camera guy
[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Always has his camera on him, which is super convenient, but that's how you know, he's camera
[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_02]: That's how you know, he's camera guy
[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_02]: But there is a scene where camera guy has his camera after its nighttime has his camera on the bar as he's drinking
[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_02]: With all of the footage ready to go this guy's reckless because this guy's out here one spill and
[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Everything they shot I mean, hopefully there's a backup
[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_02]: But this guy is just has his camera up there just in case somebody wants to take a look at the footage that they
[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Shot today. It's reckless. It's out of control. This guy needs to get a hit. Get a case get something
[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know
[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_03]: They don't Frank Jr
[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Is trying to make a name for himself on this television program and he's very proud of this thing
[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_03]: That is a keg inside a freezer and I guess I need to tell everyone that beer freezes
[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Like you can't do that. Like if it's a high-gravity beer, it won't freeze
[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_03]: But if you put just like a Bud Light keg in a freezer it would
[00:34:48] [SPEAKER_03]: freeze
[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Like not drinkable like solid instead of liquid
[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_03]: What no the whole idea is is to get it as close to freezing as you can
[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Though he invented a way for it not but he said it's in a freezer
[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I know but that's the end do that like but they they highlight it
[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_03]: You think the invention is the event in the freezer and it doesn't freeze exactly right now. I'm listening
[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the invention. I'm in for this because I want the beer as cold as absolutely
[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_02]: We've done a lot of poo pooing on Frank June and
[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_03]: That I said he was stupid last week I'll stand corrected
[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_03]: He's not he's not
[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_03]: So the two daughters talk and one of them is like you got a bodega and she's like what's a bodega?
[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's like we can go to the grab and go
[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_03]: so now I'm completely on board with both of these characters ones like you have a bodega because in New York City it
[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Is like all of these places that are open all the time that kind of sell a grab bag of everything
[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean you can depending on the store you walk in in New York City
[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_03]: You can get an Italian sub and a diet coke and a homemade maybe a homemade dessert
[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_02]: All in the morning and a DVD that somebody ripped of a movie
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I remember how excited
[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Panda was when we went to New York City for the first time when we did good morning America
[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_03]: We right across from ABC. We were at the Manhattan hotel and right by there
[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_03]: There was a little little bodega or whatever you want to call it and we went in and he got a Italian sub
[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like this is one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted
[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was just like just the idea that you can do that anytime now we have ours
[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously rest in peace we have gas stations here that do that because people drive a lot more than they do in New York and so
[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_03]: The QT the Spinks those are where you go and you get you just add a gas station to what you think of and that
[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Is and they're competing they get bigger and bigger. They're like we got barbecue. We got wings
[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_03]: We got blah blah blah. They compete they try to have as much food as possible
[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_03]: All that checks out they stop at a place called the shop and leave
[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_03]: No, that's Canada. That's Canada
[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Grabbing go bodega, New York. Yes grab and go south. Yes shop and leave not shop in leave not shop in
[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Apostrophe like it would be in the south. Do you want to go to the shop and leave?
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_03]: No, because we're not in the south anymore. We're in some weird world that doesn't exist the shop and leave
[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Come on guys. Also this town is as small as I think it is she would have just called it
[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh the shopping shot she would exactly
[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Go cuz there is no grabbing go
[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Our little town of Lyman, South Carolina, it was the pantry
[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah
[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_03]: The pantry was a BP gas station that also had stuff you you will run down the pantry
[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_03]: You would not say shop and we've not
[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Harkin were they trying to harken to the come-and-go maybe maybe they were but I that's a weird way
[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_03]: That's you're giving them a lot of credit there. That's true. I just think I
[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Growing up. I don't remember ever saying and with all three letters
[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I never remember pronouncing all three of those letters the shop and leave is a wild thing to say and then
[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I do need to point this out. Well, I wrote this down. Can you help me? Because I don't remember this
[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh sure. Let's find out all this line was said all my friends are at a festival that used to be a TV hospital
[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what Sabrina's sister daughter says to her. Okay
[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's how they end up going to the grad the stop-and-go is all my friends are at a TV at a festival that used
[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_02]: To be a TV. I don't know what she's talking about. It's like a fire festival to or something
[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but yeah, is that something that's so I know that it felt like it felt like something that I
[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Should know but don't or the person who wrote it doesn't know like I can't tell who's not in the know
[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right. I felt like I should know something. I didn't know there
[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_02]: It felt like a nod to all of these crazy
[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Festivals nowadays where like, you know if you're rich it's you know
[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_02]: You get to live at the totally different way of doing the first used to be a TV. I used to be a TV hospital
[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what that means, but I don't know. I'm trying. I'm trying my best over here
[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_02]: It's time for chicken fries. We talk about some maybe the scariness or your chicken or something
[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That's already be fried it's clear as crystal and the rules are set Jax I
[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Am a chicken about Frank and let me tell you
[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we I'm a chicken. I thought like we thought in the beginning he's dumb. He's annoying whatever all that the way
[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm almost I'm almost feeling emotional about that the way he treated his mom in this episode and
[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Said to her I mean Leah Thompson's performance broke my heart
[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_00]: But then when she got to see her shine on screen and we all know that she hasn't been able to she was always the
[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Woman behind a man and wasn't able to you know speak how she really felt and the fact that he tells her that she's
[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Embarrassing he went from being like clueless and I think he's redeemable to like you are a trash human being not only
[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you treat your wife like crap, but you treat your mom even worse and you can get the heck out
[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I am done with you Frank jr. I don't want to see your face on my screen
[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be sad if your character died Wow
[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow
[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Wish the actor well, and he's doing a good job
[00:40:13] [SPEAKER_03]: How you get feelings that strong is the actors doing a good job? He's doing a great job classic chicken situation there
[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, well I listen you you mentioned and
[00:40:24] [SPEAKER_02]: lack of
[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Safety that a lap only seat belt holds and now I'm now I'm a chicken now
[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm scared for everybody if this is gonna become a thing and they are gonna be riding in his truck on a regular basis
[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I just I don't want to get a shoulder belt get a shoulder belt
[00:40:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Or just like you know I'm concerned. I'm concerned about her safety, and I don't know if that's gonna be a part of the show
[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they're they get a car act then maybe they're they're having an affair. They get in a car accident
[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_02]: She gets cut in half
[00:40:53] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's how Frank jr. Finds out I don't know anything's on the board though for this show anything is on the board no rules matter
[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_02]: And so I'm scared now things on the board any things on the board on the table you mean no on the board well
[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_03]: We're playing a board game. We're playing on the board look at this is on the table course
[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It's on the table, but it's on the board
[00:41:13] [SPEAKER_02]: It's on the basis on the board it's then also on the table
[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I can say unequivocally because now we've seen the fried chicken at both restaurants that Mimi's fried chicken looks
[00:41:24] [SPEAKER_03]: So much better
[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Than Franny's fried chicken
[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if they did that on purpose
[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_03]: But the Mimi's fried chicken looks like fried chicken
[00:41:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I would eat the Franny's fried chicken looks like frozen fake fried chicken hogwash, so I'm going Mimi's this week
[00:41:38] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what that's the way. I'm leaning going to me me's two Mimi's in a row
[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you're ever gonna be Franny's I don't know
[00:41:45] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a you can win me over your Mimi's boy
[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's time for chicken of the week is where we get an email from somebody who is submitting a chicken that they would like
[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_02]: To be spotlight on the show. Who do we have this week? We have serenade
[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Serenade it's serenade, but they there's a parentheses that says nod like nod your head afterwards
[00:42:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Serenade is what it is and that's yeah serenade is a mother hen
[00:42:10] [SPEAKER_03]: So first mother hen and chicken of the week was yeah mother hen seven pounds queen of the coop I
[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't know what that means
[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Queen of the coop mother hen seven pounds queen of the coop. That's right. That's right. That's right now
[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Who is this? Hello there? How are you? Is this a farm?
[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a farmer. I'm a farmer. Yes
[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I think you're from every region of the country at one
[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Some everywhere now
[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_03]: East west then do us all favor cool quiet that not that yeah anything's on the board really with your accent
[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I gotta tell you this right now
[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_02]: It is what you said her name is
[00:42:56] [SPEAKER_02]: serenade serenade and
[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I called her queen of the coop queen of the coop
[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Personally that's something that I called it
[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Look here that's a chicken if you look here this here chicken you would say that's the queen of the coop everyone
[00:43:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I bring on whether it's no mo whether it's whether it's Lars whether it is me
[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Chickens hens they have to be female right? Yes. Okay, I'm a farmer
[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_02]: What whoever I bring in town whether it's whether it's no or Lars or Chuck
[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they all say there's queen
[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_02]: There's queen of the coop, but my hands were tied. I called her by named her serenade before I realized her potential
[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_02]: You think serenades a bad name as you should be Queenie Queenie, but I my hands are tight
[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think serenades proud of this or no? Oh, I think she's real proud. Yeah, okay
[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Proud of the show proud of this award chicken of the week. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_03]: One more. Oh, yeah, okay
[00:44:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Can I ask you this real quick? Yeah, man go for it gonna be a
[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It'll be trophy or male certificate
[00:44:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Not trophy not metal
[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_02]: We've gone full by you
[00:44:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you about this I don't think you've thought about it because if I put a certificate and cool it's gonna be poop
[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Everywhere. I think it's meant to hang on a refrigerator or maybe
[00:44:32] [SPEAKER_03]: You got a nail gun farmer, what's your name? What's your name? What's your name? Farmer? What what farmer? What's your name? What's your name?
[00:44:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't give it out
[00:44:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't give it out farmer
[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Farmer of Queenie
[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Sarenade do you have a nail gun? I do okay
[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_02]: You know me I wouldn't be a proper farmer if I did not have one you get a frame for the certificate
[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_03]: You put in the frame you get a nail gun you get the hanging
[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Thing out the kit the hanging kid out you hang it up where the the tickles can't fly
[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_03]: The poops that gonna get on if it's hanging high in the air
[00:45:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think they?
[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Can't fly your naivete is showing I
[00:45:13] [SPEAKER_03]: If you could pick a food D would it be fish and chips beignet or
[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_02]: beignets or like tacos broccoli

[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Mimi speak I mean May speaks to my soul. I watch the show. Okay. What's up? Nothing. That's what you're a vegetarian
[00:45:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Meals, there's a chicken farmer. I do a lot of other stuff. Okay
[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I got my feet in many files
[00:45:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think kind of talk to Brian could do you think that we the chicken of the week has gone too far?
[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so because we've only two episodes in
[00:45:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Jackson I I think it's
[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I I think when you announced it was chicken of the week I
[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Wrongly and I usually assumed it was gonna be like what's calling my heart and we are gonna hear from listeners
[00:45:59] [SPEAKER_03]: But this is or it could have been somebody that's really scared that would have been a good but we did
[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Want to say this is still early we did
[00:46:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Is what we did we have so far
[00:46:14] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right, but again, I think
[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_03]: This is open if we don't emailing the problem is we if we don't keep doing we've got our inboxes stacked
[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm choosing chickens. Yes, just thousands of farmers who want their chicken to be chicken of the week
[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, I think they were promised a trophy. I don't know why I didn't promise them a
[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Jack certificate. Did you promise me?
[00:46:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I
