We had to make sure there for a second. Sometimes it gets tricky. Yes, we did. Yeah. This is a tough month for Christmas lovers. It is. You're starting to settle in

[00:01:40] that it's not gonna be here for a while.

[00:01:42] What's the bottom of the barrel?

[00:01:44] Because Christmas in July isn't it?

[00:01:46] Is it April?

[00:01:47] I would say February or April. And it turns out I'm really bringing some Leo energy, even though I didn't know it. And that's really great. I feel good about that. [00:03:01] And there's the only month without a holiday

[00:03:07] that we could take the day off for. against. He promises the principal though that he is going to change his pranking ways. He begins to cry and the principal says let's take Christmas break to really turn things around. I'm choking up. Let's take Christmas break to really just change your ways and come back in the new year and we'll start fresh. He

[00:04:22] leaves, he meet us with his friend And Andy and Dulce are like, sky, even dented the plane. This guy's insane, he cannot fly, so he's obviously the perfect man for the job. The final spot, surprisingly, goes to Laurel because another gymnast backed out and she's like, listen, I can do this, I'm better than her.

[00:07:01] And so they get to the North Pole, they're not getting caught doesn't mean that it's okay. So he loads everybody else up as they're moving and he says you know what whoopsie daisies I'm in control now stops it heads back to return the gifts in hopes of getting

[00:08:22] his friends and sister off of the naughty nine and that my friends was the naughty nine we did it we are going to take a quick break yes when we come back we will all talk about

[00:09:44] our favorite presidents of course hands yeah we'll do all of that and talk about the naughty You're exactly right. That's where you put it. You know, it's residents. They have desk. That's right. I will either are three coupons for not correcting your grammar under there. How? I know it's a little last me an hour. If you use them all at once, I mean, you could also always like, you know, you know, sparse

[00:11:01] them out a little bit. But how do I never mind? Yeah. It's a long, you know some talented performers in there and yeah, it's fine for this kind of movie. Yeah Yeah, I Ended up watching this movie with my kids over the holiday season which turned into watching it a couple of times with my kids Over the holiday season because they were big fans. So

[00:12:21] Disney a

[00:12:23] movie for kids My seven-year-old boys like this was it. I told you over the hottest I like do you check out 99 yeah, this movie was referenced in my house this week. Yeah, not by me They don't know that I watched this for this podcast. I didn't tell them one of my kids will occasionally There's one kid who's on the naughty list fruit like one of your boys. No one of the kids in this movie. How dare you?

[00:14:45] set it says it's going to do it for. It just doesn't work outside of that much. It's fine. I like the Ocean's Eleven touches of it, like having the stuff on screen about everybody

[00:14:50] and some of the fun camera things that they do. But at the end of the day, it's a movie

[00:14:57] that is really made for kids and it doesn't have that cross appeal of like a Mary Little

[00:15:02] Batman. I would take Mary Little Batman all day is handled pretty well. I agree with you, the North Pole is really well presented. And I really enjoyed the character of John Anthony. I always like to mention that it's great to see LGBTQ plus inclusivity here.

[00:16:22] And so not only do you have a dual says two dads in this movie, that really took off in our house last year was the Lyle Lyle crocodile. Yes. Who the lead in Lyle Lyle is the same kid in the naughty night. Maybe we started a little small, take a look at us now. And Dan and I both took our kids multiple times. We saw Lyle Lyle and Crocodile in the theater together.

[00:17:40] Multiple times.

[00:17:41] Yes.

[00:17:42] And at home multiple times.

[00:17:43] It was, my feels is going back to the? Um, I, uh, I, I love that. Uh,

[00:19:01] the choice there. Yeah.

[00:20:02] Welcome back to home. We're talking about 99 2023 Disney Christmas movie.

[00:20:07] We're at the wait.

[00:20:08] What's we're talking about?

[00:20:09] What in this movie?

[00:20:18] We've had Santa Claus.

[00:20:19] It's not hold up to a lot of realistic at all.

[00:20:24] I mean, I was I was really that TV show, but I liked the film a lot. And so it's a little bit of a drag to have that kid in the third act be like, oh no, I've sullied my sister and dragged her into my sested advice.

[00:21:42] But I get it, you have to have some kind of redemption in this movie, so whatever.

[00:21:45] My new feels is Alonzo liking recess. Him putting it the phone into his pocket facing up at the ceiling Yeah, and then we see somehow that it also captured the principal It did that angle is just not possible with what he was doing there and he just that's not what you want What it was one of the first reveals of this heist is just like oh that is that's not that wouldn't

[00:23:00] I can't do you holds the phone up before he puts yeah pocket right here like that print listen

[00:24:05] So when they finally get into the workshop,

[00:24:09] they take a step back and they see this wall of moving letters and whatnot.

[00:24:12] And it turns out that that's the naughty list

[00:24:15] constantly updating.

[00:24:16] And I gotta be honest, the naughty list seems

[00:24:20] pretty glorified in the North Pole.

[00:24:23] They have an entire wall of Christmas in order for the signal to open up. And they keep cutting back. And as they are getting further along in the song, they're like getting more and more tired and they start to like lean on each other and whatnot.

[00:25:42] What if, I don't know, like take turns or something.

[00:25:45] All four of you are not required to sing this song. Our lead is just stealing things and misrepresenting what his teacher is or his principal is saying John Anthony is lying about these clothes and who designed him and blah blah blah Rose is just setting wild animals free Rose Rose shouldn't be if PETA was involved with this movie at all Rose would not be on the naughty list Rose is

[00:28:03] In the North Pole, our leads are trying to blend in, and they're like, I haven't had eggnog in so long.

[00:28:05] And one of the elves goes, bro, you're in the right place.

[00:28:08] We've got the best eggnog north of the 66 parallel.

[00:28:14] Okay.

[00:28:16] What's going on south of the 66 parallel?

[00:28:20] You are elves.

[00:28:22] You don't have the best eggnog, period.

[00:28:25] They figured it out. South North Pole. Yeah, those Laplanders forget it. Oh my God, they're a thick dog. Oh, it's liquid gold. Yeah, so there's that. Lastly, they meet, the biggest holdup for me in this heist is not that Lewis the fifth grader has found the North Pole with his secret system of

[00:29:42] there's a second where it appears

[00:29:43] and no one else has found it, that's whatever.

[00:29:46] They find this pilot to take them there Yeah, it's time for the Disney D's nuts Yeah, that's pretty good Um Alonso anything you're you're still wondering about after watching this

[00:31:03] Well, I mean, you know unfortunately And then that's it. And we don't get any more. We do see him take the picture and then they're back home. Did the picture stay on his phone? Does it just disappear? Why didn't he take a video? Something. Are all of his coworkers gonna think that's just Danny Glover in a Santa suit? Here's the thing, here's the thing.

[00:32:20] You know Danny Glover?

[00:32:21] His parents, his parents don't believe

[00:32:27] that their kids were at the North Pole. bank into a construction zone. Like it's super duper dangerous. Right before they take off on the race, you hear an adult man go three, two, one, go. You don't ever see this guy. But somewhere out there, there is an adult who is like, do you guys want to race three wheelers into a construction zone down a snow bank full of trees?
