Good for you, dude Yeah, uh, Dan, I don't know, I talked to Bran about it This didn't cost you And that's what's important Yeah You can sleep better Yeah, but no, I was, it was really touching on that You told me there were 30 people? Probably 30 to 40 people There was very intimate Uh, yeah, and, uh, it was awesome, like, we listened to the full album, which at this point is out

[00:02:15] At that point was not, uh, and we listened to it front to back, uh, gave a lot of cool insights I got to ask a couple questions It was But you said she wasn't nice So, interesting No, I did not say that, Bran Because she was a real man I don't like, I don't, this is why She heard your opinions on, uh, Captain Marvel and were like This, well, well, Dan, bad news, you're gonna get bullied about how Bran doesn't think she was nice Yeah, no kidding Yeah, yeah Uh, no, it was awesome

[00:02:40] And, uh, uh, told her that she will, uh, uh, you know, be, uh, singing on a track, the first, uh, the first dance song at her wedding Uh, but you did not invite her to sing Did not, you know, Bran, I actually had, we didn't talk about this Couldn't pull a trick in doubt Was in a room with 30 people and Tori Kelly and couldn't ask Yeah, I ended up having the dates That was as good of a chance I ended up having the dates wrong She actually could have, she could have done it I was off by a month I checked when I got home last night Uh, I, I was, I, to fill in the audience, Bran jokingly

[00:03:09] It was like, did you ask her to come sing at the wedding? Not jokingly I was, this was not a joke ask Right, right I, in my head, I, she's having an overseas tour later this year And I thought the dates conflicted It turns out I was wrong So I could have But that seems like it would have been, like, you know I don't know I don't know, no Listen, I, I, I, can I say for all the I'm under the impression now that this has all been a bit to you But I'll say this Like that wrestling fan at that weird event in a gym somewhere Still real to me I

[00:03:39] I mean, it's not dead I mean, we got months to go here Before I get married Can I tell you this, Ryguy, as much, you know Crap as I'm giving you about not asking her It was the right thing to do to not ask her Thank you You put her in that spot under, with 30 people watching It gets awkward No, you got to, you got to meet her afterwards, right? You could have asked her in private I, very, very, very quickly And I still wouldn't do that Like what, there's no scenario in which she says You got a private, like, your look

[00:04:08] Nobody else can hear And you just say, we're doing a bit where We're trying to get you to come sing at my wedding I think I'm down with that You asking her in front of 30 or 40 people I do think puts her in a real tough spot And that's not being a good fan Yes And I would agree with you there I think afterwards, you're saying Hey, big fan Love sing Love sing Love you Listen, we're getting married As a joke, I told my buddies I'd ask you

[00:04:35] If you are for some reason able to come and sing at the wedding Here's our information, but no pressure She's doing a She's doing a She's doing No, I don't It's far away I don't think we're gonna go She's doing a signing in Albany this Saturday I thought you were gonna say Alabama And I was like, Ryan, you can't do that Yeah, no I believe it's on the closer side of Albany to us So it's about three hour drive I don't think I'm going I think I'm getting my goofy movie Funko Pop sign this weekend Oh, thank God By whom

[00:09:29] We gotta stop Tessa from dying And Del is like Or You could not jump They go to leave Guess what They jump And they go And they find Fern Doing her screen test We see the clip That we saw Earlier in the season Where Cat interrupting Fern on the screen Big moment Yeah man Huge She's Tell her Basically she's like Hey we gotta go Tessa We gotta stop Tessa From dying And that's when Grayson calls Cat And says

[00:09:58] Yes we all know What's gonna happen We know what You might think that But guess what The death is all fake And that is when Grayson, Fern, and Tessa Tell Cat And Elliot The plan We're getting out Of the hooch business By having Tessa Fake her own death With an explosion That is gonna happen But it's all planned out Baby Fern says 1926 Is a year Of new beginnings

[00:10:27] A fresh start For all of them We then see Alice has also jumped Hoping to go Help her mom And Elliot But of course She pops up In the 80s They just really Want her to go there Griff is there Takes a picture Of her And then he says I knew it The pond is magic Tessa Then shows up And is like What's going on here You taking picture Of this girl By water Griff says Listen It's no big deal Let me take a picture

[00:10:57] Of the two of you Together And he does That Back in the 20s Tessa and Elliot Go to look At their house And she says It's up for sale She says I'm gonna buy it And bring it back To the family The way that it's Supposed to be I have a feeling Given the fact That Elliot lives there now I think it's gonna Come back to the family Abby is planning On telling her dad About her and Jacob A little bit nervous Given the fact that Jacob Tried to burn down Their family farm If you recall that Jacob is freaking out

[00:11:26] And goes to talk To his old pal Danny He tells Danny That he wants to run The Landry Farms with him Equal partners Still kind of feels bad About everything That happened between them I wanna be close With you again But But then He sees that Danny Has typewriter And why would anyone Have a typewriter If not for nefarious reasons And figures out That Danny Must have been the one Sending the notes And he runs out Back in the 20s Cliff proposes to Fern Even though He's still He was planning on Waiting until New Year's But you know

[00:11:55] Why not now I have ring She says yes Back in the 80s Tessa is babysitting Evelyn's kid And Tessa is really tired Cause baby So she ends up Falling asleep When she wakes up She can't find Evelyn's kid So she runs out To find him Leaving baby All alone Baby's alone Alice Here's baby crying Goes to console The baby Thank goodness She was there Creeping around Evelyn shows up And super peed

[00:12:24] Write the O off At Tessa You lost my son You left your baby What kind of mom Is this Something that you Might say to somebody Making them feel Like a bad mom Maybe it would be better If I just wasn't Around anymore Danny shows up And tells Del And Jacob That he did Send the notes Because he was mad After overhearing Cat and Alice One day Talking about How Jacob Was still alive When you showed Back up And you did The cover up You never once Tried to clear My name Everybody thought

[00:12:54] It was my fault That you were gone I felt I was mad This is I wanted to do This Maybe push you In the direction Of telling the truth You never did that So now I just feel bad About it So they make up And that's nice In the 20s At the party And Elliot realizes That the fake explosion Isn't actually happening That night However his mom Isn't at this party His mom might Be doing one last job Get enough money Get out So he's like I gotta go stop her

[00:13:23] Cliff shows up Arrest the big tuna That is Elliot He says no Listen My mom My mom is Coop And I gotta stop her She's doing a job Right now Grayson then Gives Cat a gun Tells her to go To the secret passageway It'll be faster that way At Abby's wine event That's right She's launching a wine Jacob shows up Even though he's scared Of the shaft That they're in Because if you remember Back in the 1800s That's where he was beaten That's right

[00:13:52] So there's a little PTSD Very important Yeah But he does And he shows up With a mission He is going to ask her dad For permission To propose And he says No sir You may not marry my daughter Given the fact That you've been Blackmailing me And Abby is like You've been doing what And Dan and I are like He's been doing what That's right And he's like Yes I am sorry about that I have been doing that Back in the 80s Alice watches in On the friend group

[00:14:22] Hanging out Griff ends up Getting in a shouting Mouch with Vic About how he's Kind of like Close to Tessa All of it comes out About what happened That day To Tessa And Baby And Evelyn's son Everybody's yelling Everybody's mad Colton tells Griff To scram You're not welcomed Here brother The episode ends With a countdown To ten It's New Year's Eve Everybody Old Lang Syne Same Old Lang Syne That you know and love

[00:14:56] Guns are drawn Including Tessa Who has a gun Cliff ends up Shooting at Tessa Elliot jumps in front Of her Gunshot Uh oh Cat pulls him out As the guns are still Drawn at everybody And then they see The gasoline That is down there Ends up Going towards The gunpowder Causing a large explosion That can be heard All the way back At the party And that my friends Was The Way Home Season 4

[00:15:56] Oh that's fine Would've been wild So this episode Reeked of them Having just found out They were cancelled Yeah it sure did We thought maybe It had happened A few episodes prior And maybe it did But from my This seemed like It just from Literally the first 10 seconds From jump Yeah So that led to Two things This episode moves One at a Breakneck speed Which makes it A very easy watch Yep Right It's a very quick Easy watch But two

[00:16:25] A lot of it Was utterly ridiculous So stupid And this show Already had a problem With tell And not show And now they Kind of have to Right Like so Unless I'm wrong And I Check me on this From what I remember Of last week Del and Sam Were not in a We're never speaking To each other again Never They were not in that And in the first Minute of this episode Del has to say Sam's known

[00:16:55] About time travel And I told him To just get out Of here Right Yes The episode Well the last The conversation Is hey Basically I know About the I know about the Pond But we don't Get any more Of the two Of them Right And that is What we were Going to say Like how is What What's going to Happen there Right And I think That's one of Many clear examples Where they just Said we don't Have 11 more Episodes Like we thought Like you know And so And that's not Their fault But you know We're in a tough Spot because we

[00:17:24] Haven't thought The majority Of the last Three seasons Are good And now They're in a Very uphill Climb position It's tough A lot of Where I land On this episode Overall is where I landed last week So I don't want To be too redundant Yet Too redundant In general But I will be Redundant now Yeah He's going to Save it for later The redundancy Wait till the Wait what Yeah It's going to be Crazy We have two Episodes left And Regardless of When they found out I just can't Get over it man Like the The last You know I guess Well I guess

[00:18:23] To yuck your yum If you're all in on this But for me It's going to just be Like the show Hasn't been able To win me over For the majority Of the last Thousand days This isn't going to be The thing that does it For me here Like I said The nearly nude Revelation You know For as quick As the episode Moved Really put me You know Off on the wrong foot Yeah And then again We don't We don't address Really Like TK Was Was Just What's her name Casey

[00:18:53] Casey I keep putting TK I did it again Is she addressed In this episode Much at all They are not In the episode Not even mentioned They are not Mentioned at all Right Yeah Correct So it's It's tough It's tough The Jacob Danny reveal For me Could not have Been a bigger Like womp Womp However I'll give credit Where credit's due At least that Attempted to Shore up One of like The fundamental Like lore Mythos pieces Of the series Overall Even if For me It was kind of

[00:19:22] A nothing burger Reveal Yeah Bran I don't know I don't have Too much to say In a vacuum The end of the episode Built drama Perfectly fine Decently well It's just not Drama that I Care about And I find it Hard to believe That anything They can do In the last Two hours With commercials Next week Will sway me The way that The season three Finale swayed me Because for the record I thought last season Was predominantly Really bad And I went on Record saying That I thought

[00:19:52] That final episode Which I thought Should have been The series finale Was great Correct I would be surprised Pleasantly If that happens Next week But I'd be very Surprised Sure Yeah I Obviously Episodes like this Where there's a ton Happening That's going Boom Boom Boom Goes by faster And is more Exciting to watch As a viewer Hard for a synopsis Right But that's either Here nor there So yeah This episode Felt fast There's a lot Happening

[00:20:22] Some interesting Some not I will just say Ending the episode With Elliot Getting shot Is intriguing I'm intrigued By this Are they Gonna have The To kill Off Elliot Are they Going to I'll take back Everything I said About the show Because listen I'll take back Everything I said I'd be okay With it Yeah Even if I Worth it Even if I Still love Elliot As a character Which I do Not He's a little

[00:20:51] Whiny bee Choosing to End your show By killing off This character To save his mom Would be awesome Those are some stones Would be wild I'd recommend They do it Honestly Hard recommend I I I Think that We all know That it likely Will not Well But You know Why the heck Not Why not In that In a bang I Literally Literally A bang So

[00:21:21] Yes This episode Is absolutely A mixed bag Of Of Hans Interesting That you're Doing things This way Huh I totally Forgot about This story Like there's A lot Of that But Ending the episode With the shot Gets me excited For the finale I'm back In We're back Baby Stop it Stop it We're back I'm excited You're looking For anything To be positive About this show I am excited For the finale I'm excited To watch with you guys

[00:21:51] I'm excited To be let down To be clear What we're gonna be Doing with the Double Deckers Is we will be Watching You won't get to see You'll have to Watch it on your Screen obviously And then Commercial breaks We'll talk And all that Good stuff It's gonna be A lot of fun So the problem With the Elliot Being shot thing Is that we know He doesn't die In the 20s Or we would have Seen it in the Newspaper Right And so that means For him to die He would have been Drugged to the pond

[00:22:21] Bloodied Gone under the water Shown up in the present And dies Just From getting up From the pond And that That takes a lot Of the air Out of that balloon Brain That's my big Issue Is that That paper Newspaper article Says they caught him And they didn't rush It to print He dead If he dies In that explosion Outside of that Explosion They pull his Body out Bloodied It's there The reporter Will see it And will write About it It's not in the

[00:22:51] Newspaper In present day We know we can't Change the timeline So if he's dead He's made it back To present day To die That takes all The air Out of that balloon From me And that's a problem The other problem Is what Brian Has mentioned Which is this It is Brian Brian Is not here But I think He would agree And I think I can speak For Brian He would say This episode Clearly was I can't believe They've done us dirty We only have Two episodes left Everybody let's Get in a room And figure out What to do And it is Go go go As many storylines

[00:23:21] As we can As many answers As we can And you know what I appreciate that You know what This shows you How dumb Some storylines were And you know what Why did you choose Danny Why did you choose The Danny Jacob one I do Like The stuff that happens In the presence In this episode And I think You would agree With me here Feels like the show Coming to a screeching halt Like The 70s The 80s And the 20s Are going full blast And whenever we go To the present day It feels like

[00:23:51] We just stopped Moving entirely I say all that To say this With all the problems That this had It's not a good episode Of television I did not care It's still the second Best episode Of the last two seasons It's the second Best episode Behind the finale Of three And I'll also say That for a brief moment For about ten minutes At the end of this episode I was reminded That these people Know how to ratchet up tension And make a quality Television program Now Is all the air Out of that balloon Because you realize

[00:24:20] It can't happen Yes But for about ten minutes Leading to the countdown With the gunshot And the explosion And it all comes together I'm like These folks Do know How to do this Yep And that is something That is something That needs to be said That you cannot tell me The last ten minutes Of this episode Wasn't at the very least Gripping Even if you don't care And Ryguy and I I think are pretty Unsalvageable And caring

[00:24:49] But even if you don't care The way that it was Put together I think Is a showcase Of what in the first season I felt we felt like Was every second Of every episode And so Very very faint praise To say Second best episode Of the last two seasons But It just is unfortunate That it's very clear They're huffing and puffing Because they realize They only have two episodes left I want to say Two quick things Before all the feels One Yeah Listen We've been very hard In this show For the last three years

[00:25:19] But I want to make it Very very clear I don't think anyone's Snipping our quotes From any of these episodes But if you are No I think these folks Who make the show Are very very talented I don't think season one Was a fluke I just don't think They've made any creative choices That I've really agreed with For the last three seasons And I bet you Hallmark has had something To do with it Right Yeah I could see that too But to that point So I don't want to feel Like I'm piling on Didn't the first season Have like a hell and a damn in it Pretty sure it did At Paramore I'm pretty sure we talked about that You heard about Paramore And then all of a sudden At Hallmark It is not like

[00:25:48] I guess we got the nearly nude thing But I don't know Yeah That was a marketing point But so to that point Dan to your point And listen I don't care enough About the beats And like I'm not I'm not invested enough To like storyboard this out In my head To see if it actually Would have been feasible But to your point About how they picked Like Jacob and Danny Like I would When they got word on this I would have done Everything they could have To actually done The inverse of what they did Which is like Use the first 10 minutes Of this episode To finish up In the 20s And the 80s Yeah And use the rest of the time

[00:26:17] To tell the Casey And Sam You know story Yeah Because by far That's the most interesting thread I wish they had brought No Casey And this is devastating Yeah And who knows If we see them Who knows If we see them In the finale No Nick No Nick's wife No Casey No Sam Pretty tough And maybe And maybe They just said And again With me not Really having a firm Like you know Memory of everything Going on Maybe they just said That would just be Too impossible There's like So many big ideas That we needed Hours to flesh out Not an hour

[00:26:47] But Yeah Like I don't know I just would have Being in the room Finding out They have Six days To wrap up Their show And they thought They were going to Have another And them saying Hey Netflix Call us Would lead me to believe That there's Going to be some things We don't get answered Oh yeah I mean even Yeah for sure For sure I mean I really think What we probably Don't see Sam Casey Nick In the finale And even if we do That's You have to resolve Everything in the 20s and 80s There's not

[00:27:17] Talk about Avengers Doomsday There's not enough time I legit Like I'm sure I'll get flack for this It wouldn't be the first time But It will still You still cannot Answer to me It is inexplicable How a show About three women In three different generations About generational trauma And not changing the past And learning to love Who you are And who's in front of you How that show About love and loss And women finding Their way back To each other Became about Elliot I am sorry That is I agree

[00:27:46] Inexcusable Inexplicable And unforgivable Like for all this talk Of they don't They didn't know I will grant them They didn't know And that's not fair To them But I am sorry This should not Have happened And I It's I'll never get over it You can't I would rather You're not with me here I would rather be in the 1800s With the love triangle And Thomas And all that If it's about cat Then I would be Have a story Just turned over to being Elliot being

[00:28:16] One on the call sheet I hate it I'm firmly Yeah I'm firmly In the camp Of the At least Thomas Was like an interesting Character Season 4 Elliot Is such a whiny bee That I would take I would take 1800s Over most of this Elliot stuff any day Yeah Okay all the feels What you got Maybe the most Hilarious moment Of asking a father Or anyone For their blessing Ever in the history It gave me life Like I I loved it It was brutal It was brutal I I I I don't think

[00:28:46] It played the way That they wanted it to play But I loved it And it was the best moment Of the season by far Yeah I thought it was great I'll just Take the like The blackmail stuff Out of it Like not It's just not the time Like this is It's her Like this is her night Yeah She's There's a big Like she's There's so much wrong With it it's crazy It's interesting I don't I don't want to Especially Listen we're three dudes Talking about the way home I don't want to like Get onto too big Of a tangent here But it is interesting That season 4 Is centered around

[00:29:15] These two male characters And they're And they're writing them To be the most Unlikable people It's just There's I don't know I genuinely don't know What that is Or means But it's just very interesting That this female led show Is now being led by two men And yet That's the decision Of this mostly female staff And the men I don't know There's something there I don't know what it is Yeah It's He's just It was hilarious That scene was hilarious Old Lang Syne works every time guys It's a banger of a song

[00:29:45] And she sang it real nice So I would say More than that I think it's the best The best scene Of what I would I would maybe say The best scene Of the last three seasons Of The Way Home Is the very dark note They strike Where Fern Sings Old Lang Syne With a little melancholy Because Cliff isn't there To kiss her at midnight She's engaged to the love Of her life And the viewer knows That Cliff is dead
