[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_08]: on October 18th, 2024,

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_08]: and it went a little something like this.

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_08]: the movie kicks off in the big city where jesse's on a string of truly terrible holiday dates

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_08]: her best friend shelly and uh is talking to her and she's like you gotta get it together you're

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_08]: just floundering out there and jesse uh i would say personally that she does have her life together

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_08]: it's under control in every other way possible but not the love life she works in fiber optics

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_08]: sure does but she doesn't have the optics of dating um that's a tough situation in a in a desperate move

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_08]: her mom threatens to cancel their holiday traditions unless jesse sorts herself out she's gotta make some

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_08]: changes so naturally jesse comes up with a lie in that moment and she says but i was going to bring

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_08]: a boy home well you were were you suddenly the holiday traditions are back on um meanwhile we meet

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_08]: brian who according to the captions is with a y what are your thoughts about brian the inferior brian

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_04]: it's fell like you heard your first yeah yeah it's not if you're in brian live actually but you did

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_04]: pretty good show all things considered um here it's all pre-recorded what's that it's all pre-recorded

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_07]: oh yeah it is for sure yeah you sing your stuff like we just yeah yeah it's just really good

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_08]: down there's a green bill um and uh he's supposed to he's supposed to take over as ceo of the family

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_08]: uh company but she's not he's not because he doesn't really like ties

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_06]: and that's i mean what else do you need to know the main thing in his regard we're fit to be tied

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_08]: am i right so jesse and shelly uh come up with a pretty crazy idea they're going to create a dating

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_08]: profile and on the dating profile they're going to lay out that they need or she needs a blind date

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_08]: on christmas eve and uh the only one rule is that the guy's got to be down for anything not like that

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_08]: all you girls out there um enter brian who sees this and says that sounds fun you know that's not

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_08]: something that a ceo would do and that's i'm not a ceo so i would do this and so he um says yes to this

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_08]: he responds to the profile and next thing you know she uh shows up to pick him up to bring him

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_08]: to the house and he has flowers in hand not for her it's for her mom um when brian meets jesse's

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_08]: family they are very excited about this and brian ups the ante a bit by calling them his future in-laws

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_08]: and just he's like we got to talk about this um and she's like you can't just do you can't just say

[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_08]: that why didn't why are you doing that and he's like well you i didn't you didn't tell me everything

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_08]: so i i'm just gonna i'm just rolling with it over here and they're like we got to come up with a

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_08]: safe word it's a whole thing um and so the um the safe word by the way patrick

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_08]: say it one more time there it is um man when you say it it really works um then the real craziness

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_08]: again it is time for the chamberlain family christmas olympics we are talking i know we're

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_08]: talking mandatory christmas wheel of events you know a star hunt a gift wrapping contest

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_08]: i've at some point we'll get a light show it's going to be great and so uh it's going to be it's

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_08]: going to be pretty wonderful um after a baking disaster jesse shows brian a uh an ornament on the

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_08]: tree and then it breaks and so they end up going on a mission just the two of them uh while they're

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_08]: out they have a sweet moment brian opens up about his family and jesse's like hey maybe this guy

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_08]: isn't so bad maybe this guy is something special actually just when you think that things are cooling

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_08]: down a family snowball fight it's it's the competition it's a snowball fight we call it snowball dodgeball

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_08]: around here though it's very different it's its own thing um but hit once and you're out that's

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_08]: exactly right um but brian gets interrupted by a business call the business call hey uh you know

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_08]: we got this building and our hands are tied eviction notices there's it's happening um so uh jesse's

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_08]: niece is uh trying to find out who this brian guy is he has no social media uh which is uh as the

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_04]: kids say sauce at best um thank you say less because uh it's so uh she said say less they oh i

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_08]: apologize that's what the kids say and um during a synopsis things continue to get worse and during a

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_08]: the couple's quiz brian fails to know that jesse is allergic to rubi pie that's exactly right why

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_08]: why would he know that or why would he not know that is because they're not actually together and

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_08]: so mom is immediately suspicious of this and um she pulls jesse pulls brian aside and is like hey

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_08]: i don't like that you aren't on social media and he's like my identity was stolen once so

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_08]: shove off um jesse's mom is immediately um on this as well and she talks to jesse and jesse

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_08]: finally uh is like hey you're yes what you think is true we're not actually together all of this uh

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_08]: good stuff and jesse encourages her to be honest about her ex sean with brian so that's a pretty a

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_08]: pretty big deal there um brian is winning everybody over with his charm they're basically like this guy's

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_08]: a part of the family we've known him less than 24 hours but he's amazing um but he's got he's got

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_08]: this secret that he's holding on to he doesn't know how to tell people about the you know they're

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_08]: gonna candle shop getting out of here so that's a tough break uh we find out that um she finally

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_08]: comes clean and tells uh sean about her ex sean who is an ex in a sense that he died um

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_08]: um so not like in the i broke up with you way but like in the i'm dead way and uh that's tough

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_08]: brian tells jesse

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_08]: seriously

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_08]: um

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_08]: shelly finally uh spills the beans to jesse about the uh she found out about the eviction and she walks

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_08]: away and she's like don't talk to me but then she's like i'm getting evicted um and so jesse's

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_08]: like let me look at the the thing and she sees that it's brian's company and gets really mad she

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_08]: confunts brian about this who admits hey i don't want to do this at all i didn't know that this was

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_08]: happening but it's christmas eve maybe it shouldn't be happening right now the family then immediately

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_08]: erupts into chaos um brian and jesse eventually sit down they have a little bit of a grown-up chat

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_08]: chat and he apologized and then he's like i'm gonna get out of here um he does get out of there

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_08]: but not long though because there's a christmas light show that happens and he can't stay away he

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_08]: loves christmas lights he shows up he's like literally he says it's freaking awesome um so he

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_08]: uh it's like hey i actually have an idea of how we can save the candle shop and he says come on in to

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_08]: the the kitchen or the dining room table i've got some drawings and he's like hey what if we do

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_08]: mixed use what if we do mixed use what and then the candle company explain everybody wins here

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_08]: revolutionary one of the people that he works with walks in at this moment and he's like hey

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_08]: you brought me here on christmas eve what do you have to show me and uh he's like mixed use he's

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_08]: like why didn't we think about mixed use it's amazing nobody mentioned um and so finally jesse

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_08]: and brian have a a moment together a heart to heart they agree that this day has been wonderful

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_08]: and so we should maybe give this thing a real shot and they kiss as the entire family watches on

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_08]: awkwardly and now my friends was 12 days before christmas

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_08]: that's exactly right we're gonna take a quick break we're gonna come back we're gonna break this

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_08]: movie down with four segments here on dan you know i have big news your big news is you have a cat

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_08]: i have a cat cat with your whole heart i love this cat and uh you want to take care of it i want

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_08]: to take care of it and my biggest fear with having a cat was the claws no the kitty litter situation oh yeah

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_08]: of course it's gross it's icky and i don't really like to think about it and to be honest with you

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_08]: i've uh had bad experiences growing up with kitty litter because my mom had cats and it just grossed

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_08]: me out because they're all clunky and gross and and gross and that's why i was happy to find pretty

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_08]: litter because pretty litter i don't know what they're doing over there magic but it's magic they

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_08]: on a fifth razzle dazzle maybe it'll be ready by this one uh but we're gonna start with a hot take

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_08]: old faithful uh what better way to start than by sharing thoughts it's a new thing that we've

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_08]: come up with personally on this podcast no one had it before no one has ever no one has ever

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_08]: shared thoughts on movies before that isn't the segment though no it's hot take okay i just wanted

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_08]: to make sure i understood it's a whole new world i'll start with you brian what do you think about

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_03]: this first movie towards the day before christmas yeah i gave this four uh peppermint mochas and a

[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_03]: cream i feel in the preview show in the preview show and i feel justified frankly yeah i feel

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: like this movie did not let me down um i uh i think that a big part of this was like the christmas

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_03]: olympics is risky it's easy to ruin this for this to be really lame this could go we saw the first

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_07]: movie out of the gate in christmas olympics and we were like yeah it's just it's tough it can be tough

[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_03]: but i feel like what sets it apart here what really worked was this cast was really really great

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_03]: everybody in this had a different role everybody was very unique and uh memorable and i think that

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_03]: it worked really well the dad the chef standout character just stand out didn't stepdad yeah

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_03]: good old marcus marcus could not have had a better monologue as you pointed out brand just so funny

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_03]: um and uh i had a good time so overall good for me right out the gate

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_00]: jack's great job thanks man everybody got quiet it was just really good out of respect it's hard to

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_00]: follow that um i would say that this movie i also gave it for a peppermint mochas i decided not to

[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_00]: cream it i also feel justified um for me okay we've got a decent script it is you know just kind

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_00]: of like a regular old hallmark run-of-the-mill plot like old hallmark not reinventing the wheel

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_00]: but by golly oh my goodness robert buckley amy groaning these are two incredible actors who you know

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_00]: how like when tyler hines looks at people and you're like oh he's like undressing them with his

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_00]: eyes robert buckley is like looking at amy groaning and it's like he just wants to know her and love her

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_00]: and understand her and take care of her and it's overwhelming and amy is an absolute delight they're

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_00]: doing all the things the leads in these movies need to do but it's never cheesy it's so genuine and i i

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_00]: just think they're such fantastic actors i want to see them paired up again yeah patrick

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_01]: me okay um speak up here we are um so yeah i thought the movie was uh better than expected for the first

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_01]: one out usually the first one out is a throwaway first pancake right right i i feel like it was not

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_01]: they came out strong um i really liked that the olympics weren't the focus it was kind of like

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_01]: the thing in the background that they were that was bringing them together but the family dynamic

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_01]: was happening um with all that chaos of an olympics um no medals no medals no medals

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_07]: it's a hold the olympics right one winner that's it yeah i just that's massive i've actually heard

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_08]: the olympics are moving in that direction that's right yeah well second place is the first loser

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_01]: no medals pretty expensive no medals but yeah so i thought they did a really good job and um

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_06]: that's it ryan what'd you think buddy um i think the friday night opening flick

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_06]: is forever changed i think we're gonna look at the friday night differently going forward

[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_06]: i genuinely though i mean like i thought this was here here i thought this was not just better than

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_06]: average i thought it was pretty darn good uh and amy and bob buck are like the biggest very

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_06]: charming uh great chemistry but to piggyback off what jack said i mean this amy like she's she's

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_06]: she's looking at people in a way that people have never looked at people before like

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_06]: revolutionizing looking at people like i thought i thought her performance was very good but she

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_06]: i mean like you know that portman watch out um i think there was enough going on here to say

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_06]: that this was a real innovation on the fake relationship trope which i think most of us

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_06]: are fans of in general but i thought they really thought through how to kind of advance that along

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_06]: in a fun way funny uh snappy dialogue relatively self-aware yeah uh on the surface the plot was insane

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_06]: uh but by the end i was like heck yeah and that was what i thought about the movie brand

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_05]: heck yeah yeah uh alonto i mean you know look do i have weight watts sure but this is the 15th

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_05]: countdown to christmas and i'd say i've been watching for the last 10 of them like starting

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_05]: around 2015 or so and uh my hot take is this is the best opener wow scene in my time of watching

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_05]: these movies so many of them you're either disposable they're whatever this one um yeah

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_05]: absolutely do we have we seen these tropes before is it shaped like a hallmark movie seen before

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_05]: sure are robert buckley and amy grinning like fire in this movie they totally are um they each bring

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_05]: something to it and together they elevate this material they make it charming they make it funny

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_05]: they make it hot and i was here for it and it's your movie and i picked it that is true a new wrinkle

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_08]: in the deck the hallmark world people say that we're not still growing and changing and evolving

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_08]: uh we did a draft to kick off that we don't want to talk about that yeah um but the uh we kicked out the

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_08]: marathon by doing a draft we each drafted five movies and uh by the end of the season we'll have

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_08]: some uh results of who who has the best team of of movies and this is a pretty pretty good way to

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_07]: start alonzo that was a pretty good draft pick by you i almost picked it i did just because at the

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_07]: end of the draft it was like well it's in buster full of happy of nuts and uh and merry christmas dude

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_08]: so yeah you know i uh one i just want to say i don't appreciate the slander about the first movie

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_08]: of the year everybody out here just talking nonsense you admit that in retrospect some of

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_07]: the first movies that you've loved have gone down a peg in your ranking i would say in retrospect

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_07]: you here we go the way that don't answer it that's fine the way that you talk about things

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_08]: isn't right uh and so but i will agree that this is the best opener so how about that

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_08]: um boy this couple they they created the razzle dazzle the razzle dazzle uh they they have it it's

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_08]: magical it's wonderful uh these two were off the charts with the chemistry um is was was the plot

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_08]: great i don't know whatever who really cares exactly um i don't never have never will

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_08]: uh this movie was wonderful a great time and a great way to kick off um the holiday season which

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_07]: everyone knows starts on october 18th that's right um yeah i will say calling this movie the best

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_07]: opener the only one in contention would be christmas in pemberley manor uh in my in the seven

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_07]: i've done this and i can tell you calling it that i would agree yeah i don't damning with faint praise

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah that's right that praise that is not a huge award for this um everyone's right about bob buck

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_07]: and amy grinning they were together they were absolutely great their chemistry is off the charts

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_07]: uh the the problem with the real estate the movie could have been an email i had it written down

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_07]: it was like oh mixed usage well son of a gun and then the olympics not having medals i thought some

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_07]: of the things that i think were probably pretty rich in the script they just didn't have either

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_07]: the budget the time or the weather to pull it off and so that hurts it the plot doesn't really stand

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_07]: out as much but if you're here for an opener that's better than merry christmas match and uh the hockey

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_07]: one from last year then sure it fits the bill if you're here for some of the better chemistry

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_07]: that we've seen uh in a while then sure uh yeah so better than i thought it would be definitely not

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_07]: four and a cream you're crazy but i gave it one and no cream and i would be willing to say that i was

[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_07]: i was definitely low on it in that regard

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_07]: i was low on the movie yes like what did you decide between one and ten what you're going to give it yet

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_07]: um i think like that's a great question probably right can we just establish right now because we have

[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_07]: to rank all of these go ahead oh are we are we doing this on a uh on a level of hallmark christmas

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_07]: movies yes is this based upon all the christmas movies i've seen i think so right slightly above average i would

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_07]: say six six and a half for this one that's good yeah for you i mean yeah i would say six probably a

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_05]: six that's a brand 14 like you know if you're the kind of person who's you're you're you're the way you

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_05]: uh uh choose these movies is who's in it the this nails the who's in it absolutely yeah i mean i think

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_08]: this is close to an eight eight four eight four yeah no i i was i think it covers around eight four for

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_08]: sure that's kind of the sweet spot right i think an eight five yeah yeah wow eight five yeah

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_08]: this has got to be music to your ears alongside i'm yeah i'm thrilled if the score on it is a six

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_07]: that's that's gonna yeah that's gonna be no failing grade like you know that's really yeah we'll see

[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_08]: what brian's uh cast of 60 just passed you on along uh whatever the movies are that he has

[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_06]: i couldn't even tell you at this point shout out to the norwalk connecticut school system they knew i

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_06]: just wanted to write and talk about wrestling and paul mark and i am what was a failing

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_07]: grade he said i said 59 60 is a d minus in norwalk connecticut 60 was 100 a failing grade

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_07]: even when i left teaching you had to get a 65 to pass to the next grade oh interesting yeah i have to

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_08]: go back and think it's been so long well you were college 60 is a d minus i wasn't good surprisingly

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_08]: an okay student don't be down based off of my holiday season i got down on yourself half of my

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_08]: grades were charm based grades no charm based i hate to bring it to you i i think i did pass on

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_08]: mainly charm alone wow yeah and feel lucky charms and feels yes and the occasional correct answer

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_08]: um let's get to all those feels let's let's uh let's talk about them i'll start with you brian

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_08]: what in this movie gave you those feels i love a manual kitchen timer uh there's almost nothing

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_03]: better in the kitchen all right what do you like about the movie the santa shaped kitchen timer it

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_03]: was a snowman oh was that what you were talking about jacks it was phenomenal if if you're in the

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_03]: kitchen and all you have to do is just just real quick twist a little timer and you're good for

[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_03]: however long you need it's almost priceless and the santa man the snowman timer in this movie was

[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_03]: phenomenal analog and christmas phenomenal yes checks all the boxes so that snowman kitchen timer

[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_03]: are you kidding me right now all the feels well it's always good to start low and then go from there

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_00]: uh jacks what do you what gave you the feels my big feels and i think most mostly everyone kind of

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_00]: missed this because there was quite a bit of chat you did already take that um there was quite a bit of

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_00]: chat during this scene but in the scene where they talk about her deceased husband it was actually

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_00]: really well done there it's not like it was look these things always kind of feel a little cringe to

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_00]: me it's like the widow widow or trope well i think dead boyfriend dead boyfriend yeah that's true that's

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_00]: true but i think that this was just so well done and there was no overacting they didn't overplay their

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_00]: hand it was really really beautiful and i got a little choked up also when her mom talked to her

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_00]: about sean i got choked up i think it was just beautiful work amy you're exquisite and i just

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_00]: sent you a dm i hope you answer not in a weird way i hope you answer that got very musical theater at

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_01]: i hope you answer well that segues really well into mine because you just dm'd amy i know did we all

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_05]: was a palpable yes like adult's nest to this romance that we don't always get in hallmark

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_08]: movies and i appreciate it when i see it yeah um you know we've talked about the looks a lot and the

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_08]: whatnot the first when i first noticed that these two had something special and i talked about it during

[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_08]: uh while we were watching it when he like he he leans in and he like talks about a good smell like

[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_08]: oh you smell good and she it seemed to fluster her a bit the look that she gave i was like we're in for

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_08]: we're in good hands we're in good hands with these two and it's a plot point to set up how good the

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_08]: candle yes the way that they handle that whole scene was really good but i knew in that moment

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_08]: that these two are going to be something special once a couple for the record books i think and i

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_08]: don't really know who's keeping the record books these days and how they're how to kind of submit

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_03]: he's he's they're sending emails they're he's calling his associate to come to christmas eve like

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_03]: all these things he's ordering plant blueprints from somebody and his associate looked like he came

[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_03]: from a very fancy party yeah like a bow tie yeah so it was just a lot of business things happening a

[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_03]: little too many business you can get away with one or two but you start ordering blueprints on

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_04]: christmas eve i mean come on try to draw the line were those blueprints or or did he draw that i think he

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_04]: got blueprints digital they were on his phone and he was drawing hand drawing the mixed use that he

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_07]: geniusly thought of yeah i do that right off the cuff but i i literally have to quote patrick serrano

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_07]: that said uh those are the blueprints it looks like i drew them so i'm glad somebody can quote me

[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_07]: because that's exactly what was going on in that scene if you could picture that so yeah

[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_01]: of question marks about who's who's with who here um so yeah so that's my way um i have two i'm concerned

[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_08]: that you know they were gonna cancel the uh family christmas olympic whatever because this is the first

[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_08]: christmas you know since the boyfriend died and whatnot but those kids only get so many those

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_08]: kids only get so many family christmas olympics and i hope this is a situation where they were gonna do

[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_08]: it anyway and hope she doesn't find out because the kid those four kids they're in prime time olympic

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_08]: season these kids right even though they don't wear pajamas all um but they this is prime time and

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_08]: they're taking a year away from these kids of olympic uh christmas and i think that that's

[00:40:57] [SPEAKER_08]: unfortunate so hopefully they were going to do it anyway and just hope that she doesn't find out which

[00:41:01] [SPEAKER_08]: is almost worse but what can you do um and the other one is just you know the christmas eve eviction

[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_08]: email it's a tale as old as time i think but i do think we would all agree it's the worst type of

[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_08]: email to get the christmas eve eviction email a real bummer a real bummer alonzo yeah to piggy

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_05]: piggyback on that i admire the chutzpah of this movie being like we're gonna have all of this action

[00:41:31] [SPEAKER_05]: on christmas eve it's a lot it's a one-day event we're gonna do it we're gonna have this entire

[00:41:37] [SPEAKER_05]: relationship we're gonna meet that morning and then get to know each other of course today

[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_05]: so that's some moxie and i appreciate it however you can't do all of that on an actual holiday

[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_05]: and then also have all of the uh the the big boss man jeffrey's stuff going on that's right correct

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_05]: that's you pick a lane movie and so that that was that was kind of nonsense but you know again part of

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_05]: the old hallmarkiness of the plot is that the business stuff makes no sense what's not

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_07]: is that it yeah great dan yeah i couldn't have gotten more business talk out of christmas eve

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_07]: in this movie that's impressive for hallmark squeeze to try yeah uh did anybody mention that

[00:42:16] [SPEAKER_07]: he has five minutes to wrap something and he chooses a tennis racket nobody's like you go ahead

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_07]: why in the world you have five minutes to wrap a gift that's the challenge yeah choose something

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_07]: with 90 degree angles anything with 90 degree angles nothing oblong or weird there was a blanket on the

[00:42:36] [SPEAKER_07]: sofa behind what's crazy is five symmetric this may have been a different challenge but five minutes

[00:42:40] [SPEAKER_07]: becomes two minutes in the span of five seconds yeah which is very very impressive um i did love

[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_07]: and this is probably more real than i want it to be i did love the big business men in a meeting on

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_07]: december 23rd i believe going evict him all right happy holidays that was really funny like nobody
