[00:01:54] story of her picking him up for his

[00:01:57] Chemistry read I don't know if you've heard that story

[00:01:59] But they finally brought him in because he was doing that other show in Canada and when they brought him in the driver something happened

[00:02:04] And she literally drove over and picked him up to bring him to the lot for the chemistry read

[00:02:10] What like I mean, come on like who like talk about a complete lack of ego and just willing to be a team player

[00:02:16] Like that's the best

[00:02:18] 100% wait, what is Felicity Huffman's husband's name William H Macy? Yeah, I don't see him being villainized for what he did

[00:02:26] That's true. That's true. You didn't know about it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, come on

[00:02:30] But she ever since I heard that story I've been like she is she's got to be the best

[00:02:34] I think of her then we'll get to hear more on Friday. Maybe you never know. You don't know maybe maybe

[00:02:49] Really kind of bring in like extra joy to my life these days

[00:02:52] We were watching clips when he was on the Kitten Bowl and I was just like boy. I love that guy

[00:02:58] How did you on the Kitten Bowl how many points oh wait, oh wait, okay, do you guys know that he

[00:03:06] Will his team courageous Cougars won the game, but he threw and caught the touchdown winning pass

[00:03:13] That's the magic of TV and the Hallmark media editing team, I guess

[00:03:18] But he managed to go and through and caught the winning pass of the Kitten Bowl

[00:03:24] Didn't make a lick of sense, but that's what they showed on TV and it was very exciting. What do you know about?

[00:03:30] The that process were you there on set that day was was it a high high stress environment?

[00:03:39] It was I mean the kittens are so cute. Yes. I was there on set that day

[00:03:44] I didn't actually get to see the game

[00:03:45] But I got to meet the kittens behind the scenes and that's when I fell in love with my cat

[00:03:49] Artie and I was like, I really want to take this one home

[00:03:53] Okay, you adopted Artie after the Kitten Bowl, yeah, so you only like winners is what you're saying

[00:04:01] You could have adopted one of the losing teams cat kittens all there's a whole a whole gaggle of losers over there

[00:04:08] I didn't know he won. I didn't she's like give me the winner

[00:04:14] Caught the pass I that's who I want

[00:04:17] There any cat here that through and caught yeah

[00:04:21] Give me that. I don't like I don't like losers

[00:04:24] Has uh, has he hung it up? Like does he not? Oh, yeah, he hung up his jersey three years ago

[00:04:30] He just kind of lays is about these days. He does fetch things like a dog though. So that's fun. Really?

[00:04:36] Yeah, we talked about this. Remember? Yes, like a dog

[00:04:39] Believe me, but I thought but I decided to work him into conversation this week so I could brag about him

[00:04:46] Homework didn't fight for the rights to the Kitten Bowl. Is that right? They've let that go

[00:04:50] Even more so not only didn't fight for it. They were like, please take it get it away

[00:04:55] We're not doing it. I believe this is can't believe there's not just a full scrum for the kit rights of the Kitten Bowl

[00:05:01] Wouldn't you know I think the other guy

[00:05:05] Took it

[00:05:09] Let's talk about when calls to heart season 11

[00:05:15] Episode 5 which is called be there or be square. Hey Jax, do you know?

[00:05:26] Oh my gosh

[00:05:29] Shots what happens blue balls?

[00:05:32] Like that for all of us sure did

[00:05:38] Stronger together is the name of the episode and it went a little something like this

[00:05:44] Allie is talking to Nathan and she's concerned that Elizabeth is gonna break his heart again, which

[00:05:52] fair

[00:05:54] Nathan is like it's gonna be fine. Don't you worry?

[00:05:58] Toby is

[00:06:00] Nervous about the test he's taken cuz math

[00:06:04] And for those of you at home that are wondering that's three straight weeks

[00:06:07] It's actually I think Toby's been bought been bothered with math for longer. Really? Yeah

[00:06:11] I think they skipped a week where they didn't talk about him

[00:06:13] Okay, well through at least three episodes of season where Toby's math problems have been a storyline

[00:06:20] Lucas sees Elizabeth and he comes to apologize for what happened with Jeanette

[00:06:26] He says that we never actually were engaged despite what she wanted and before

[00:06:32] You know any of that could happen. He realized that he didn't feel the way that she felt very similar

[00:06:39] It's interesting that you bring that up one Elizabeth. Yeah, and but he did that before they got engaged

[00:06:46] Right. Cool. Cool. Got it. Got it

[00:06:48] Made that clear before he took a guy gave a ring and then like met her kid

[00:06:54] Okay, buddy

[00:06:56] She says that it's quite okay and

[00:06:59] That she just really wants to be friends with him. Super cool. Naturally Nathan is watching all this happen from afar and

[00:07:06] Elizabeth's way of saying I just want to be friends with you is by rubbing

[00:07:09] Lucas's arm a lot and wouldn't you know it Nathan is like what's going on there?

[00:07:14] Lucas then goes to find Gowan again and begs him to come and work for him and Gowan once again says no

[00:07:21] He's promised himself that he's going to be different for now on

[00:07:26] Elizabeth goes to see Nathan is confused why he's being distant today. He's just busy with paperwork. That's all sure

[00:07:34] It's nothing Lee and Frick. I'm work with Frick him sister

[00:07:38] And Benson Hills has a lot of demands in order for her to say hey

[00:07:46] You can build it here

[00:07:47] But here are a lot of things that I need done a lot of it is like building stuff for them and whatnot

[00:07:51] Hope Valley's gonna have like build so much on a baseball diamond and yeah all this stuff

[00:07:57] Joseph gets a letter in the mail from his brother asking for a visit and Joseph says that the letter says that he got a letter

[00:08:04] from him and is

[00:08:06] Looking for an apology. He throws the letter down and storms out. He says over my dead body

[00:08:11] I'm gonna apologize the kids are sad they feel bad because they're the ones that sent that letter

[00:08:16] So I feel like they kind of goofed

[00:08:18] Bill and Rosemary the dynamic duo go to share a theory with Nathan that the

[00:08:25] The angle of the shot proves that the shooter was close enough for Lucas to see his face

[00:08:34] Yeah in the classroom

[00:08:38] Elizabeth says we have a special guest today

[00:08:40] Straight from straight from teaching school

[00:08:53] Right so wasn't she

[00:08:55] Elizabeth's favorite student who didn't think she could be a teacher

[00:08:58] But then now she's gone off to Teachers College and she's gonna come in to save the day as the student teacher getting her hours

[00:09:04] It as good as I could have imagined

[00:09:08] You describing it it was hard it was hard to recognize her with the big hat yeah crazy hat her hat was insane

[00:09:15] Yeah, apparently a Frick. Um is the mayor again. We all knew that

[00:09:21] And

[00:09:22] Doesn't want to do it anymore because he doesn't want to deal with it

[00:09:25] You know it doesn't like the tension and feels like sisters just bullying me over and all this stuff

[00:09:31] And so Bill and Lucas are like well Lee you don't got anything going on you should be mayor of course

[00:09:37] And they basically make it so

[00:09:39] So that's fun fun thing about Oak Valley until the next election

[00:09:43] He will be the mayor he goes to tell Rosemary and she's supes supportive actually despite earlier in the season

[00:09:50] Complaining about not having enough time together. That's right

[00:09:55] Lee goes to get some advice

[00:09:59] From I'm sorry Gowan goes to get some advice from Joseph

[00:10:03] And he explains that he wants to do business again

[00:10:05] But doesn't like the person that becomes what he's in business and Joseph tells him that he's wiser now

[00:10:11] Maybe it's time for him to give it a shot. Well. Yeah, I'm hate who I've been exactly like right. They're like a Maddie T

[00:10:18] So when he hears them talking at the bar about what to do with Benson Hill and how to get all squared away

[00:10:25] He says I have an idea

[00:10:28] Nathan continues to ignore Elizabeth, and it's really bothering her

[00:10:32] So when the opportunity presents itself to play darts with Lucas Nathan takes it and Lucas explains what he and Elizabeth

[00:10:39] We're talking about that day and now Nathan just feels silly

[00:10:42] The kids come clean to Joseph about writing a letter and he tells him that it's okay

[00:10:46] And they probably did the right thing Opal who is still in school

[00:10:51] Shows Elizabeth a picture that she drew of how she imagines the resort and agrees to show it to Lucas

[00:10:58] Mike Lee Henry Lucas they meet with Mayor Frick him the other mayor Frick

[00:11:05] And Frick him is like hey

[00:11:08] I got some news for you, and she's like no news now sir brother. Let's get straight to business and Henry tells her

[00:11:16] We're gonna meet all of your demands

[00:11:19] but

[00:11:21] we're gonna have to

[00:11:22] merge towns

[00:11:24] So it's mutually

[00:11:26] Beneficial and

[00:11:29] She thinks that this is a good idea

[00:11:32] Thinking obviously that she's gonna continue to bully her brother and to do the things they're gonna be co-mayor

[00:11:37] They're gonna be co-mayor the next election exactly right and

[00:11:41] You might be wondering how will co-mayors work in regards to the new resort well

[00:11:45] As long as one mayor thinks it's a good idea. They'll do it. They'll do it. That's how it goes

[00:11:51] That's how

[00:11:52] And so in her mind. She's like I can get my brother over to my side. I'll bully

[00:11:57] Him into it and so right before she leaves they go hey, we've got some news your brother's not the mayor

[00:12:05] It's Lee good luck there

[00:12:08] Nathan stops to talk to Elizabeth and he tells Elizabeth that he owes her an apology

[00:12:13] Because he's been a real doofus and they start to like talk and you could like hey like he's like what's going on here

[00:12:20] Between the two of us and before they can really dive into that

[00:12:24] We find out that there is a very important meeting going on between the important people in the town that can talk on the show

[00:12:30] they

[00:12:31] all discuss the merging of the towns and

[00:12:34] They agree even though it's something that they had already done. I guess it's they really were hoping they would all agree

[00:12:42] Lucas and Elizabeth have another conversation else there nothing. It's got to be unanimous. Yeah, it's cool

[00:12:49] Report of the we're all good

[00:12:51] Everybody's on great doesn't matter

[00:12:55] Yeah, they are they all agree to do it yeah, I didn't get that from really did they all agree to do it Jax

[00:13:01] like

[00:13:03] No, but like we know that Elizabeth rules everything so it's like okay

[00:13:08] But like nobody's like no over my dead body vote yet. No, okay

[00:13:12] So

[00:13:15] Lucas and Elizabeth have another conversation when she hands him the picture

[00:13:20] of the drawing that opal made and

[00:13:23] He says hey promise me this if you ever have the opportunity to be truly happy you'll take it and she says

[00:13:31] Bill and Rosemary come in to Lucas's office and

[00:13:36] he begins to remember some info about the shooting like getting some flashes of

[00:13:41] Members day one out to make Adams a whole thing and so he's like I remember

[00:13:47] You know this and that but I can't can't give him a face

[00:13:51] Can't give it there was a there was a struggle for the gun, but I can't give you a face

[00:13:55] Nathan um

[00:13:56] The episode ends with Elizabeth going to talk to Nathan they're gonna finish the conversation that they had about hey

[00:14:01] What's going on between the two of us and she says hey Nathan?

[00:14:06] Friends don't look at each other the way that we look at each other good night

[00:14:10] And she walks away and that my friends was when calls the heart season 11 episode 5

[00:14:54] Material be it a book or a TV show or movie, and you love it so much, and you're like no notes. Yes

[00:15:01] That was not the case

[00:15:05] Jack's we have a sidebar like a quick sidebar you're worried about me

[00:15:10] Um well I do have things to say that like weren't

[00:15:14] hitting for me

[00:15:16] I'm just I'm just gonna go ahead and say it what Rosemary and

[00:15:21] Bill saying we're a team

[00:15:23] We certainly are the mystery feels the section with Lucas like for me. That's worth the price of admission

[00:15:28] I am having a great time for those moments in time

[00:15:32] I'm pretending exactly what we've been talking about is them being in a mystery series together

[00:15:37] In a mystery series together, so that is fun for me

[00:15:42] I'm also really

[00:15:44] Vibing with Frickham's sister. She's over the top. She's hilarious when she was getting the massage in the chair

[00:15:51] It was like borderline inappropriate the things that she was doing with her face and the sound she was making but I was here for it

[00:15:58] I'm really enjoying myself

[00:16:00] I

[00:16:02] Do think and I think that most people can agree with this whether you're you know?

[00:16:08] Teammate then team Lucas like don't really care either way

[00:16:12] It is having

[00:16:14] another

[00:16:15] misunderstanding of Nathan looking at them and

[00:16:19] Getting all like upset by it and then he and Elizabeth just missing each other

[00:16:23] I was I was like screaming. I can't do this again

[00:16:27] So I hope that we're done with that. I pray that we're done with that. We'll just have to see next week what happens

[00:16:34] I'm pretty peeved right now to be honest with you

[00:16:38] Because you know last week

[00:16:40] I said I maybe we I think we'll get a kiss this episode and everything in this episode

[00:16:44] Was pointing to this episode is gonna end and end with a kiss because we had a situation

[00:16:50] Where it's like what are we to each other and then they weren't able to finish that conversation. You're like it's all

[00:16:55] leading to them kissing at the end of this episode and

[00:17:00] Not only does it not end with a kiss it ends with one of the the dumbest

[00:17:07] Conversations if you can even call it that that I've seen on this show so far

[00:17:12] That's impressive

[00:17:13] Do you want to know?

[00:17:14] One way in which you can tell this person that you've known for many years and have been crushing on for a long time

[00:17:20] That two people don't look at each other this the way that they do if they're just friends

[00:17:24] You just kiss you just you just do it. That's exactly and I don't know what we're waiting for

[00:17:29] I don't know who's happy with this because if your team Nathan

[00:17:34] Which I don't even really know what that even means anymore because there are no teams

[00:17:39] But if your team Nathan and you're watching this episode, I guarantee you

[00:17:43] No one is satisfied with anything other than a kiss at this point. And so to be like hey, I think we like each other

[00:17:51] No, freaking doll. You like each other. What are you doing? I thought we already knew that

[00:17:56] I thought it's what we've been doing all season and so to get to this thing where it's like hey

[00:18:01] I think I might like you. How old are you? Just kiss just do the thing

[00:18:07] We've been working so hard

[00:18:10] Putting in the hours guys

[00:18:12] I've been watching this show and I thought finally we were gonna get the thing that we all thought we were gonna get this

[00:18:17] Episode and no and so you're right blue balls is exactly right

[00:18:21] Not just they it's all of us all is at this point feel picked up

[00:18:26] Aggression and energy because we've all been saying there's your kiss and we get an episode where they're building up to where there's gonna be a

[00:18:33] Kiss and what do we get? I like you. Oh my god

[00:18:38] What are you doing? Why are we doing this?

[00:18:42] And not just that I will just say the idea of these two towns merging is insane. It's

[00:18:48] ridiculous, but if somehow it puts us out of our misery in the show ends because hey

[00:18:55] Everybody it's but we got a new teacher in here

[00:18:59] There's no reason to continue this

[00:19:01] It will all have been worth it because at this point I've reached the end of my rope

[00:19:04] I've snapped and all the forward momentum that I felt like we had going into this episode

[00:19:10] I feel worse than I ever have

[00:19:13] I'm mad. I'm

[00:19:15] frustrated I

[00:19:18] Just get over with half of your anger is the fact that you know, you know if they've not kissed by now

[00:19:24] They're not getting married at the end of the season

[00:19:26] Yeah, man

[00:19:28] I felt like we were we were going in the right direction and

[00:19:32] And then to find out that we're just at the part of the relationship where they say they like each other. Oh

[00:19:38] My how what how old are you?

[00:19:43] It's almost like what I called and said the kiss will be in the penultimate episode

[00:19:46] It's almost like that's what's gonna happen. I said kiss in episode 5 so I was pretty disappointed

[00:19:50] I also I need to be very clear. I learned this on Twitter

[00:19:55] I don't remember who said it someone that I follow on Twitter said this it may have been

[00:19:59] Caroline or Rachel or someone from the

[00:20:03] home

[00:20:05] And I I read it on Twitter and I didn't believe it and I had to think for a second and now I'm just

[00:20:14] depressed

[00:20:16] Kevin McGarry's character Nathan and Aaron Krakow's character Elizabeth on the show when calls the heart

[00:20:23] Have never kissed

[00:20:26] Have have never kissed

[00:20:30] Never they are both

[00:20:33] almost 40 year old adults

[00:20:38] that that is

[00:20:40] They've not kissed even by the very conservative

[00:20:45] Conservative

[00:20:47] Hope Valley I kiss dating goodbye courtship standards

[00:20:52] They would have kissed by now. I'm

[00:20:54] Multiple different top the fact guys Hickam and Maysue have kissed

[00:21:01] Hickam and Maysue who have been together for a day a week a month an apple

[00:21:08] I don't know. They just celebrated their five-month anniversary. Yes, five months. They kissed after five months

[00:21:13] It has been literal years half a decade

[00:21:19] Who you fooling? Hey fooling when calls the heart. What are you doing? This is dumb

[00:21:25] It's insulting to viewers

[00:21:28] It's not intelligent and it is beneath the very low bar that you have set for yourself

[00:21:33] Where there people that if they kiss at the end of this episode, we're gonna go like well that happened fast. No, you know

[00:21:39] You know what I think they could have done to like save it like save the big kiss and still do it

[00:21:44] She tells him this she takes her hand. She sensually puts it on his one cheek looks at him

[00:21:51] Kisses him on the other cheek and walks away that way you're saving the big kiss

[00:21:56] But you're having something sensual thing. I cannot believe they didn't

[00:22:02] What was that? Hey, we don't the two friends don't look at each other the way that we do. Good night

[00:22:08] Good night. What was that?

[00:22:13] I just I couldn't believe it on top of that

[00:22:16] We have a few other things going on that ever just

[00:22:18] Make less sense than that, which is the town's merging will get into it

[00:22:22] If you had a murder board, you couldn't figure that one out

[00:22:24] It doesn't make a bit of sense. None of it. None of it

[00:22:30] There's a verbal agreement at one point and then we find out that 11 random people in Hope Valley have to vote

[00:22:35] We'll get to it. We'll get to it doesn't make any sense

[00:22:39] Lucas was close enough to see the shooter in their eyes now

[00:22:42] I know that when calls the heart in its completely ham-fisted disheveled way

[00:22:50] The guy that's gonna be the killer I think is his assistant

[00:22:54] I think he wasn't in this episode on purpose

[00:22:56] So you forget about him when they revealed that he grabbed the gun and then at the end we're gonna find out it was him

[00:23:01] But I will tell you this

[00:23:03] His motivation that guy with the mustache who was the tourist and before then worked for the old mayor

[00:23:08] His motivation to kill Lucas makes less sense than Nathan's does

[00:23:14] And I'm currently on team Nathan shot Lucas. That's the team

[00:23:19] I'm on team Nathan shot Lucas and it makes a ton of sense

[00:23:23] It's all sense in the world

[00:23:25] And if they do it

[00:23:27] The show is saved and if they don't and it's everything I feared and having said all that

[00:23:31] The two scenes where Bill and Rosemary are solving cases. It's probably four minutes of this episode

[00:23:36] My heart soared and the other 36 minutes. I wanted it to be over so so badly

[00:23:43] I was doing math

[00:23:45] Like Toby trying to figure out how much longer we had in the episode

[00:23:49] Yeah, bababa bad bad back to you

[00:23:52] It's time for all the fields we're talking about when this episode gave us feels Jax

[00:23:58] So I had some fashion feels Ali's bag at the beginning of the episode. It's it's like one of those crossbody bags. It's adorable

[00:24:06] I thought

[00:24:07] She was so cute huge in the 20s

[00:24:11] I did I thought just a little bit

[00:24:15] Elizabeth was giving Dan what he wanted before

[00:24:18] With Toby when she's saying don't try to answer the problem like anyone else that is at least tapping a little bit into that

[00:24:24] We all can't do things the same way

[00:24:26] and then finally

[00:24:30] When

[00:24:32] When Maysu says I'm not sure pitting Mike and Maisie against each other is going to achieve the outcome you want

[00:24:37] I had fun feminist feels I was just like this woman is like the voice of reason

[00:24:43] She's not she's offering it in a very like

[00:24:47] Calm collected way and like everyone else in the room with her is

[00:24:52] Acting idiotic all the guys

[00:24:54] Yeah, yeah, not because they're guys. They just so happen to be guys

[00:24:59] I'm gonna skip Brian. That's my feels too. I'm team Maisie in this whole Benson Hills. I

[00:25:05] Think what she's doing is 40 chess at least

[00:25:08] I thought it was until we realized if they just say they'll give her everything and then merge the towns under a co-mayor

[00:25:15] Verbal agreement we need to talk it over with our dirty dozen. I did like

[00:25:20] We'll get there. We'll get there

[00:25:21] But at the time Maisie and this is in this room and we have the best male minds of Hope Valley

[00:25:28] All of them this brain trust of masculinity over here. Who's like we did this

[00:25:33] What if we gave her everything she wanted maybe she'll notice us then and she's just over there just

[00:25:38] Dealing with them and I loved that

[00:25:41] I thought it was great and until they went and they they totally ruined it

[00:25:46] I thought that was that was a fun part of this episode. I

[00:25:49] Mean, I think it's pretty clear that I'm pretty distraught

[00:25:54] And it's just that like I don't like I don't like myself like this like I don't I don't like not liking something

[00:26:01] I don't like being frustrated and I and I was so close to being like I'm just I'm so ready to be rooting for

[00:26:07] Elizabeth and Nathan and to be like

[00:26:09] I don't know how you came in and I and I and I just felt like we were finally gonna get there

[00:26:14] And so now I'm just like sad like I don't like I don't like myself

[00:26:17] And I don't I don't think anyone else likes me. And so I don't I just want to say I'm sorry

[00:26:24] No matter who you are. Yeah, and I just want I kind of love seeing the side of you that all fired up brand

[00:26:28] I don't why I just want to love things. I love Hallmark movies. I love all my Christmas movies, you know

[00:26:38] With this brand if you love something so deeply

[00:26:42] The only way to love something so deeply is to have that's the light side there and then your shadow is when it doesn't meet those

[00:26:49] Expectations then you're frustrated and and you couldn't have one without the other got a really big shadow

[00:26:56] Really big shadow

[00:27:00] No
